Best Heater Repair in Kansas City MO
Called Gene's to replace the water heater in our new home. Kevin came at the time he said, and was extremely helpful and professional. After everything was installed, he talked me through what he did as well as answered questions and recommended maintenance schedule. The price was fair and the entire process was painless. We will definitely be using them in the future!

Follow-up review. After continuing service with them another four years we finally got the news we were anticipating for awhile. The central heating and air conditioning units that were in the house when we moved in before out 22 yr. old daughter was born were headed for replacement. Cheaper to do both at once and today was the day.
Cha-ching. That kind of equipment and installation is pricey. You know that, I know that.
Guys arrive at 7:30 a.m., are out of the house by 4:30 p.m. (my wife even made lunch for them) and everything installed including a walk-through to show us the new gear, and... wow, immediately, the heater is running less, running quieter, better moisture in the air. We're more comfortable, win-win. We are really happy. Installation looks like a million bucks and we are set for a long time now. Amazing how this company continues to really impress us.
Sure, go ahead and use Yelp to review that espresso shop for the 500th time. Never know when that might be critical, but a business like this and less than a handful off reviews? That's just sad. Take a good look at this one. These folks kill it with superior service.

This company is an absolute treasure.
My shower handle broke at 7:15 in the morning and wouldn't shut off (my house water shutoff also wasn't working). I called Stine-Nichols in a panic wondering if I'd be able to make it in to work today.
Not only did they respond and follow-up immediately, they had a plumber at my house within 30 minutes. He was friendly, efficient, and thorough with his work.
I absolutely recommend Stine-Nichols for anyone with a plumbing emergency - not only will they respond and repair quickly, but their rates are VERY reasonable and fair, and their employees are friendly and helpful as they could be!

Would like to thank Anthony Crownover and his crew for an excellent plumbing repair on our main waterline. I've had the opportunity to work with this company at my resident and businesses for mainline snakes and small and large plumbing jobs and have been satisfied every time.
Thanks Anthony for being prompt, fair, and easy to work with.
Call you next time.

**Edit -- After looking at the owner's Facebook page, the first two trips were performed by someone who was on their first week on the job. This person re-installed the diverter for us and when it continued to leak, the next plumber that came out told us that it wasn't on tight enough. The owner wants to charge us for the same job to be performed again even though we were under the assumption that the first plumber was capable of installing it. This person is now wanted for theft of tools from the owner. Looks like he is trying to pass on the cost of his stolen tools to his customer since he isn't willing to budge on the price he has demanded for the lack of services he provided.
Worst experience with a plumbing company I've ever had.
We were recommended this company from a close friend and we have regretted using Pierpoint Plumbing ever since. We called to have someone come out and address a leak that was coming from a tub diverter in our shower. 4 trips, 3 different plumbers, and $570 later and we still have the same leak with the same hardware we started with. The owner has sent out different plumbers that undo the work of the one before them and then bill you for it again. This is due to a lack of communication between the plumbers so they duplicate efforts and then bill you for them. We were not told that adjusting and re-installing a tub diverter would be billed to us for $570 when a new diverter costs roughly $25 at Home Depot. When we inquired about the bill to ask why it was so high, Austin (the owner) says he wouldn't budge on the price and wouldn't work with us to even fix the issue his company was hired to do in the first place. Each plumber would come out, slap some caulking around the perimeter of the diverter and then tell us to wait for it to dry. This style of plumbing where they just slap caulk on it and hope that it waterproofs the connection is extremely elementary and apparently costly for the unlucky customer. Now, after 3 weeks after initially calling Pierpoint Plumbing, we are still dealing with a leaky diverter and have paid the $570 and decided to wipe our hands clean of such an incompetent and unprofessional plumbing company.
In addition, 3 of the 4 times the plumbers were scheduled to come out, they were either late by more than 2 hours or didn't come at all and showed up the next day with no communication. I had to move my schedule around to accommodate the appointments and then my day was altered because no one would call to let me know they were going to be late or couldn't make it that day. Extremely inconvenient and unprofessional.
The worst part of the whole experience is my wife and I were trying to find a good plumber that we could use not only for our house, but for our rental properties as well. We have family and friends that are looking for a plumber to have on hand as well. We will undoubtedly be letting them know to stay as far away as possible from Pierpoint and to let anyone they know of the terrible experience my wife and I have had to put up with. The owner is more worried about standing his ground on the bill they are so quick to run up when instead he should be worried about maintaining a staff of plumbers that are capable and won't need to make 4 trips to caulk a tub diverter.

Patrick came out the next day and cleared the kitchen drain like a pro. He was Professional and had responses to all my questions. Will plan to use them again for future jobs.

In the process of doing a home inspection it was found that a toilet in our spare bathroom was leaking when being flushed. I knew on the spot that this was a wax ring issue. Buyers asked for the repair to be made by a licensed plumber, so I again trusted McCann plumbing to do the job right. Appointment was made and time window was agreed to. The office called me ahead of time and said that the tech was on his way. Mike arrived on time and spent no time getting right to the problem. The wax ring was indeed the issue and it was repaired swiftly. Mike took the time to check the area after the install to make sure that it wasn't still leaking and then and cleaned up the area. I was again pleased at the service, skill of the staff, and the overall reasonable cost!

Tracy, Scott and their office staff were amazing getting us cooled off when no one else would help during the hottest days of the year. Tracy and Scott were here on a Sunday and again the very next night after regular business hours to fix a manufacturer issue. They called when they said they would, showed up when they said they would, charged the price they said they would, explained processes and equipment and were just pleasant to talk to.

I was contacted by Mac Wilson Plumbing, after I posted my need for a water heater replacement. Donna; who was pleasure to work with, listened to me, and got me in touch Zach. We talked about what was going on with my existing water heater and determined that it was past its prime. Donna had told me that they installed Ruud Professional model heaters... not the type that is sold at the big box stores. I decided to go ahead, and was amazed when I was told that they could install it the very next day. Two plumbers showed up and finished the job in just a few hours. They were very conscientious and neat. Zach and everyone in this company are great to work with, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing a plumber... Very honest and customer oriented. Pricing was good too, Zach told me that most companies charge extra for the expansion tank; which code requires, but he includes it in the price.

We would like to say thank you to the Snake'n'Rooter team of Melissa, Jonathan, Ralph, & any other team members that assisted. The quality of customer service we received was outstanding. We hired another company to come into our rental property to camera & auger the sewer line. Being that we live out of state we had to trust this company to help us in our time of need. A big credit card charge, 1-yr warranty, & 3 days after the repairs were completed, the line was blocked . . . again. The other company told us we would need to spend another $11,500.00 to fix the problem. They left us with no other options. We called Snake'n'Rooter for a second opinion & quote for the repairs. It started with Melissa jumping right on the issue and getting Jonathan looped in to our current problem. Then Jonathan & Ralph heading right out to the house to investigate. Not only did they give us a more than competitive & fair quote but they went above and beyond by spending 3-4 hours out the house not only investigating the issue & looking at solutions but they did not leave the property until they were able to clear the blockage & get the line open so that the sewer was functional. This was great news to us as the family staying at our rental property is our parents. They worked for hours on our home and did not bill us for their services and repeatedly refused to take any compensation for their services. They stated they felt we had been taken advantage enough. Moving forward, Snake'n'Rooter will be receiving all of our business and we will be recommending them to all family, friends, neighbors, and strangers in the KC metro. They are a great company with great people that truly stand for doing the right thing. Thank you from the bottom our heart & our family. N&K

Work began 12/15. No working shower for 6 days. Had to beg daily for work to get done. On 12/24 I was told caulking would be completed 12/28. Never heard from the company again. No receipt, no warranty info on $13,500 worth of work AND my house key was never returned. No idea where my key may be. Ridiculous!

I called on a Sunday afternoon to get a water heater replaced and the job was done next morning by 9:30. Nice and professional installers - highly recommend.

!! WARNING: Transparency issues, no itemized receipt, no pre-authorization of work, and no call back from the owner when things are difficult!!
We've been using taylor plumbing for a while (5-6 years), spending more than a couple thousand dollars with them over the course of this time.
Recently I called taylor plumbing for an issue with a water line at one of my rental properties. I called to talk to them about the price range, when they came out no one really told us what to expect. When I talked to Nate (the owner) he acted a little taken back that I asked for a range. I explained that I can't write a blank check and needed just a range $0-??. He said 1000-1500 depending and I said okay that sounds good. The work was done and the two plumbers were outside digging by hand and fixed the issue. The plumbers were at the place around 3-4 hours, so it seemed reasonable to receive a $1000 bill. After receiving the bill, I called taylor to ask for an itemized receipt. They told me that they do not do that and I asked for the owner to call me.
The owner never called me back.
Around a month later, I called to have them come out to fix an issue at the property. They came out and again didn't ask for approval or even really explain what the cost could be for the work to be done. I called the office and talked to the same person (Deana) and she said she remembered me. I asked her if they were going to call me back, and she said No, I asked him and he just told me that we don't do that. I then asked, So, no one was going to call me back? She didn't have an answer. I explained that I'll gladly exercise my right to select a different plumber who is straightforward and honest.
In summary, they were not clear about costs up front, they did not provide an itemized receipt (even after I blindly paid the $1000 invoice) and the owner didn't have the time to call me back and send an itemized receipt. It seems that they do not care about the customers as long as the cash rolls in. If they did care, the owner would at least call me.
For reference, I ran and then exited a very VERY successful business for 19 years, and never have I been so amazed at the lack of customer service and business etiquette.

Get a contract on your price
Get contract on the work up front I was charged 600.00 for 2 hrs, they work. Flat rate per job, can be very expensive.

This company was sent to our house from our warranty company 1st American home warranty to CYR air conditioner suddenly stopped cooling the guy from mechanically inclined was here for about an hour taking pictures wandering around said that he didn't know what was wrong he went downstairs where our AC unit was came back upstairs went outside he said that he thinks that the drain hose on R AC needs to be changed and moved so the filters come out easier so he d $695 to move that, then he decided to give me a quote for$225 to come out next week and clean the outside unit. When I reported to the home warranty that I think he left these wires exposed with a couple of wire nuts he told the company that our air conditioner was not salvageable and that it could was not part of the warranty claim that it had not been upkept. This is the same claim that he has made about several different clients of warranty companies if he can't get you to add another $1000 on to the claim then he claims your unit is no good if you look at his reviews you will find out that he says the same thing about everyone. Now the warranty company is denying my claim and I have to get an outside AC contractor to come and dispute what he is saying. This company is no good avoid them at all cost.

I had them come out for a sewage backup and to clear the line. Turned out I needed to have a city inspector come out and meet with my tech from Roto Rooter. I have had 3 appointments with the city inspector and Roto Rooter to meet to get my issue resolved and Roto Rooter has failed to show up and each time and didn't even give me a heads up they wouldn't be able to make it. The city inspector has waited outside my home 3 times now for an hour waiting for them to show up. What makes it worse is I have already paid for their service so now I'm stuck with them... definitely don't pay until they have done EVERYTHING they say they will do. Customer service has for the most part been incredibly rude and not at all remorseful for no showing. I never post reviews, but this by far has been my worst customer experience I've ever had.

The business is posted twice with slightly different names, but it's still the same crooked business.
Jay no longer works the field, he only handles the business side, leaving his less than reputable wife, and her mentally challenged son to destroy anything left of the reputation that Jays pluming had.
I hired them to replace my main water line, they were running average of all the bids. They guaranteed that I would be satisfied with their service and were very professional.... That's a lie!!!
One of the crew propped open the truck door and urinated in my driveway! I have a 15 year old girl that lives across the street and several girls behind us! Let alone, it was in my driveway!!!
Their best employee was bidding out work on my house, for off the clock extra work. Their manager, Jays step son, threw his trash out in my yard, and when I said something his response was it'll get buried when we fill the hole! Not the point!
They filled the gap where the new line comes into the house with window caulking instead of seam sealer or plumbers putty, they didn't reconnect my ground rod to my electrical panel and left me with deplorable excavating! My meter well is 6-8 inches below grade and I had a super high hump in my yard because they didn't finish!
Then Jays wife came to my house and demanded to be paid! Hey finish the job first! Let alone they broke the law and didn't seed the raw dirt that law required!
Stay away from them!
This is a terrible company
They go through employees like drill bits because they pay them or they short them. An employee can put a lien on your house to collect payment.
