Best Bathtub in Irvine CA

MC Construction did a great job of replacing my old roof with a new energy efficient plywood & tile.  They added a few more vents and also replaced some weathered fascia boards. I want to thank Josh K. for being flexible & working with me to stay in my budget!  I would hire them again!  Possible new bathrooms in the future!

I signed a contract with them for an AC replacement and when the install is imminent they started backing out with excuses like code violation, etc. and instead gave me another quote more than doubled the price (originally ~$11K and new price for a different type of install $26K+)

The truth, however, is that the code issue can be fixed as indicated in the contract and one of them senior install managers told me in person in one of his visits; the real reason why they are backing out is because they feel they have other more profitable projects to be done, or something like that. If you search low-star reviews you will find similar comments.

Their such backing out is not only against contract law, but also against their own promise, i.e., No Change Order Guarantee.

I have to hire an attorney to deal with them. My attorney suggested me going to Small Claims Court to sue them and/or file a complaint with cslb.ca.gov/Consumers/Fi… so that they may get disciplinary actions. Let's see how it goes and I will try to update here.

Great service, our serviceman Aaron arrived promptly and fixed our drain line and kitchen sink. Very courteous and friendly service. I will strongly recommend it.

We've been looking for a a great Handyman since ours recently moved and came across My Handyman OC. I'm so glad we called - Manny did an exceptional job demoing our closets in record time, left each space very clean and well prepped for our drywall vendor, hauled away all of the old shelving - and did it for a very reasonable fee. We have a laundry list of other projects and will definitely be reaching out again. Can't say enough great things about our experience!

Bob came today to diagnose a leak that caused some water damage in our bathroom. He explained things clearly and was easy to work with. He is also a hard worker who came quickly, less than 12h after we reached out.

Contacted Seashore Plumbing as they are a local HB company for a clogged main line. Matt answered and immediately scheduled to meet with me in 45 minutes. He was on time and immediately assessed our problem. Once he found the problem he went right to work and within 45 minutes had unclogged both our shower in one bathroom and our bathtub in another. Matt was friendly, efficient and a no nonsense guy. We will definitely use Seashore  for our plumbing needs in the future.

Dave returned a call for my request on Yelp within 1 hour and scheduled a meeting in his office to do initial consaltation for my project. I feel so lucky to meet Dave at this early stage in searching for general contractors, the meeting was so educational. Smart & handy is obviously an well organized business. Dave is very professional, experienced, the most important, is very patient to a potential client like me who asks all the stupid questions. The meeting today easily deserves my 5 stars rating!

I needed a new water heater as evidenced by the leak on the bottom of tank.  FV team responded fast and with competitive bid.   The crew that performed our install was friendly, knowledgeable, and timely.   I will definitely connect with them in the future for any plumbing needs.

Called SoCal and spoke with Carlos, he answered on the first call and was able to give me an appointment the next day. He showed up on time, always appreciated, and  he informed me that my issue was the responsibility of the local gas company. Gave me a fair and free quote for a water heater replacement and even though my current one was a little old, he could've easily gave me some doom and gloom spiel but he didn't. He was honest an upfront and told me I could still keep using the one I currently have for a while longer.

I will definitely keep SoCal in mind for any future issues I may have. Carlos came across very sincere, honest and most of all, professional.

Our downstairs bathroom started to get mold on the ceiling.  To make a long story short, the upstairs bathroom shower pan was leaking.

After the mold remediation team had finished and seemed to narrow down the problem to either a drain issue or shower pan issue for the upstairs bathroom, my wife and I contacted approximately 10 general contractors and shower installation companies using various sources (including Yelp, Google Reviews, word of mouth recommendations, internet searches, etc) to provide their recommendations/proposals for our shower and bathroom.

During the processing of obtaining contractor quotes, we were not comfortable with most of the contractors for various reasons including high sales pitch tactics, lack of detailed explanation relating to waterproofing techniques that will be used during construction, extremely high prices, etc.  We eventually narrowed down the list of contractors to two (including Ixtapa).  However, after further comparison of both companies, we ended up choosing Ixtapa partially due to their quote being more inclusive of everything we wanted done (drywall repair, painting, among other items), their flexibility in recommendations that considered our budget, and most importantly, Ixtapa's clear explanation of their waterproofing techniques in which the utmost care would be taken during their multilayered waterproofing method to minimize any chances of the new tile shower leaking in the future.  Other companies were vague in mentioning only hot mopping as an explanation.  We just felt Ixtapa was the complete package when considering fair price, knowledge, customer reviews showing high quality craftsmanship, communication, etc.  Alex was a very good communicator and listener when we shared our concerns/ideas.  Alex was excellent at balancing our concerns/ideas with his expert advice/recommendations (this skill set Ixtapa apart from the rest of the other construction companies we talked to).

Jay, Alex's business partner, is the construction guru.  Jay is very personable and has high expectations of quality that meet not only his high expectations, but also the customer's.  Although Ixtapa has some workers in addition to Jay, Jay does the detailed design, measurements, and most of the detailed construction.

I liked how Alex made clear what materials Ixtapa provides (rough materials, etc) and explains in detail what materials the customer provides (tile, fixtures, etc).  Alex even provided us a shopping list of items to purchase, quantities of each item, etc.  This made it easier for us.  When it came to choosing a new vanity, Alex recommended a few places for us to look at vanity options.  We settled on a place and we were able to purchase the vanity with Ixtapa's contractor's discount to save some money.  When I was stressed about some issues with vanity options while my wife was out of town on business, Alex took time out of his busy schedule to meet me at the store to help me through my struggles.  With the assistance of my wife by phone, and Alex's help, we were able to make a decision that worked out very well (thank you Alex!).

Ixtapa showed flexibility when we requested changes to the scope of work related to the niche, additional recessed lights, installing the additional exhaust fans in our other bathrooms, among some other changes.  Ixtapa was able to provide a custom glass shower per our requested specifications of partially obscured (middle 50% obscured, the top 25% and bottom 25% clear glass).

Jay and his crew did excellent work.  As other reviewers have stated, Jay is a master craftsman.  Jay and his Ixtapa crew handled everything from the demo, plumbing (installation of new shower drain with weep holes, etc), electrical (exhaust fan, led lights, gfci, etc), shower framing, multilayered waterproofing of shower, tile installation/grouting (shower, bathroom floor), installation of vanity & recessed medicine cabinet/mirror, installation of fixtures, drywall/trim/texture/paint, etc.  The only items/services subcontracted out by Ixtapa to different companies were the hot mopping of shower pan and the manufacturing/installation of the custom glass shower door.

A couple of small/minor issues after completion of the bathroom project were taken care of by Ixtapa.  The end result is fabulous!

We very much look forward to working with Ixtapa in the future with another project or potentially more than one project.

My son turned my outside spigot too hard & it got stuck in the on position. I called Prostar plumbing at 7:00 am & they answered right away. My spigot was replaced by 9:30 & the charge was reasonable. Thank you!

Had excellent service and communication with Pristine Plumbing Rep Johnny B.  recently.  I discovered a water leak in my front yard and called several plumbing companies.  Luckily Pristine had same-day availability once they heard my situation.  Johnny and I got along very well from the start.  He explained the situation completely and understably without being condescending.  The situation was thoroughly investigated, the city also got involved; the work was very well executed.  And they did gorgeous work on my water pipes, valves and brick work.  Very pleased with the results.  Now having them do other maintenance as well.   Would highly recommend this company and their personnel.

Working with Kody was a dream. Responsive. Great communicator. Reliable. Flexible to my schedule. Went above and beyond. I purchased a home that had a bad tub spout... after talking with Kody, he contacted the manufacturer and confirmed it was under warranty. He had the item sent to my home and followed up with the installation once it arrived. He's polite, on time and does a great job of explaining what needs to be done and the potential risks. His pricing is more than fair and in fact, matches the estimate he provided. Great guy, great service.

I run a private school with old plumbing and we have had a few issues over the years. Chris has always been our go-to person because I know the work will not only be quality but will get gone without issue. Never has he over charged us or mislead us on what we need. Strong Christian values and top notch work.

Our toddler has an infatuation with throwing stuff in the toilet. A week ago we noticed it wasn't flushing properly. After several attempts to unclog it with DIY videos on YouTube, we decided to search on Yelp to call a professional.
Eric responded immediately and booked us for an estimate and consultation the same day.

Had main drain issue at tenants home in Irvine.  Called them at 9:30 AM on Sunday 1/23/22 and Friendly person said no problem would have service person out between 11 AM and 1 PM.  I waited and waited, call them to check progress at 1:30PM and they said they would call me when tech was available.  Then at 1:50 received a call and was disconnected.  Called back and they said could not get technician out today.  So Sorry - What are my tenants to do with no water ???

If they would have told me at 9:30 AM that they could not come out, I would have not waisted my day with this company.

I am a property manager with many home I manage, If they do this to me, they will do it to you.
