Michael Donahue Plumbing provides vicious service. I had a clogged kitchen sink in my apartment. The plumbing tech they sent out, Daniel, was knowledgeable about my clogged sink issue. He diagnosed the problem immediately and took me through how he would fix it. He provided me with a Price Quote before they began service, which I appreciated. No pressure with Donahue - they allowed me to make an informed decision. Great service and pricing. I highly recommend this company - one of New York's finest!
He's a humble guy and an honest plumber. He did a much needed clean out and service of my boiler.
I am very grateful to have been able to connect with someone that did great work and is a good communicator and not out to take advantage of anyone. He was easy to work with and highly highly recommend him.

I called Mike and left a voicemail. He called me back within an hour. I called three other plumbers too. Not one called me back, ever.
The main waste pipe buried underneath the basement floor of my brownstone was collapsed and cracked. Sewage was leaking into the sump pit in my basement.
Mike identified the issue quickly and fixed it in only two days of work. This required drilling the basement floor, he also found and corrected other issues under the floor once he excavated. These other issues would have caused serious damage if left un-fixed.
He is professional, communicative and honestly the most competent plumber I have ever met. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
Mike is old school real deal- really knows his plumbing, and is fast and neat, to boot. He does it all, but he sure has done a lot of boilers, so don't hesitate to call him if that's your issue. We had him out for a boiler issue, and he knew everything about what to do to fix it, (unlike previous plumbers, who were shooting in the dark and charging to do so) Great communicator, also. I highly recommend him.
Mike is very responsive to calls and texts, showed up right on time, and had very reasonable pricing. Most important, I trust him.

When I needed a water heater a year or two ago I found Mike here on Yelp based on his reviews. I called him in the morning and by afternoon he was here and gone with a new water heater installed. Great service! So when I had water backing up into my basement I gave him a call for that. He had me take a few pics, and came after finishing another job that day. This morning he came and had it all cleared up, plus replaced a leaky steam valve, in 2 hours. Prices are reasonable too, highly recommended.

Tried to book for ASAP. Was told unavailable for the requested time. Followed up. No response.
If this is any indication of what plumbing is like with this company, I would be concerned. I feel totally disrespected.
Here is what's important to me: plumber is available, quotes reasonable price, shows up on time, communicates well, and does a good job.
Michael Donohue checks off all of the boxes. He was able to give me an accurate quote based on pictures I sent him, was able to give me an appointment just a day later, came on time, did the job neatly, tested *everything* to make sure there were no leaks or any other problems, and charged the quoted amount.
His 5* reviews here are well deserved, he's a professional in every sense of the word and an excellent one at that.
Our kitchen faucet had been leaking for Months but after originally contacting our usual plumber only to have him never return with the parts that were needed, we let ourselves live with reality of a faucet that never stops dripping and leaks water all over the counter any time you use it. However, once our tub became horrifically stopped up (ie long hair gunk monsters!) we knew we needed someone who we could rely on to come and actually repair our tub drain and our kitchen faucet, so in stepped Michael. I called him late on Sunday evening and he came early on Monday morning with a new faucet and a snake ready to clear our drain. All of our plumbing agonies were solved in two hours (just two hours!) and it now feels so silly to have waited more than 6 months to get our faucet fixed when we could have just called Michael and had this headache dealt with almost immediately. Super nice guy, friendly, quick, and reasonably priced - he's most def our new plumber on call!
I just recently purchased a house. Only a week after moving in the Damper motor broke off on my Burnham Boiler. Michael walked me through everything he was doing and why. He replaced the motor. In addition, he replaced the broken pressure guage, updated the pigtail from steel to brass, and recalibrated the pressure. This made the system so much quieter as I was experiencing a lot of water hammer also. The pricing was very reasonable as I've been charged more for less work by other plumbers in the past.
Michael will be the plumber I call when I need one.
The pipe connecting the water main to the rest of the house sprung a bunch of pinhole leaks. Called Michael at 3:30 PM, and by 5:00 PM he came and resolved the issue, which involved cutting out the bad pipe and replacing it.
It was an emergency for us and he was able to get it all done quickly and without ripping us off, which any other plumber could have done given we had to get it fixed immediately.
I'd easily recommend him to others.
I have exceptionally high plumbing standards, as I've been blessed with a now-retired stepfather in the business. Didn't think I'd find someone who takes such care in their work again, but Michael is definitely that plumber.
Michael bailed out our building in a big way when work was being done in there. A contractor put a nail in a pipe, causing leaking in a neighbor's bedroom, and the company called him in. His knowledge and calm and attention to detail--not to mention his willingness to work late given the emergency situation--really saved the day, and a lot of potential damage.
He's since become the plumber for our building, and his exemplary work continues. For me alone, he's helped replace valves on and balance some leaking radiators, repair a leaking faucet, and fix a pipe issue in the wall where he had to go in through our bedroom closet. Not only is his plumbing work perfect, but the broken wall was repaired good as new, and he cleaned the work debris so well that I'd have to say he left the closet/bedroom floor cleaner than I had before he started.
I don't imagine you could find a better plumber in Brooklyn. When my stepfather visited, he looked everything over and said, yeah, looks pretty good. Which, coming from him, is higher praise than anything I've said here.
Michael is an absolute pro and a gem. I contacted him after our sink decided to start gurgling up what smelt and looked like sewage water and one of the handyman in our building who worked through 2 hours of sweat could not figure out how to fix it.
Left Michael a message, told him our building management are absolute dicks who will require us to have his COI before he comes. He sent it to us first thing in the morning, I forwarded to the super, as our building requires, and somehow the idiotic super still held him up for an hour. AN HOUR. After an hour, after absolutely nothing changed, he let him up.
Understandably, Michael was upset (as I would have been if I were home instead of my partner) because that's parking and costumer time that being wasted, but he still agreed to come up and took one look at the sink and knew exactly what the problem was.
Because of how sucky this building is, they built the pipes horrendously incorrectly so his best guess was that the handyman snaked the wrong pipe. Anywho...from what I hear, Michael came, imparted some wisdom, fixed the issue and left to save another home. As quick as that.

We are so lucky to have found Mike. He is professional, knowledgable, tries to keep the cost down without compromising quality, and is so quick to reply.
Our apartment has had a slew of radiator, boiler, and heating system issues. We had another plumber come who misdiagnosed the problem, and it resulted in spending money unnecessarily. Mike came within 3 days of us calling him, and immediately figured out the root cause. He worked the whole day to fix it, while explaining what was happening to my husband.
You can tell Mike loves what he does, and takes pride in working with professionalism and excellence for his customers. If you're in Brooklyn, and need someone to take a look at your heating -- I could not recommend him more.
I had a severe shower drain blockage that my building's maintenance guys tried twice to break threw but couldn't. I contacted this company and they responded immediately with a reasonable quote and we're able to come on the next business day. Within under an hour, they got past the blockage and my shower is working perfectly. Fantastic experience, pleasure doing business with them!

Mike came on time and wore a mask. He was efficient and professional, explained the problems well and clearly. So pleased with the job he did under the sink and in the bathroom (we had so many problems). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to any friend.
Mike was fantastic! He's a great communicator and arrived right on time. Just as importantly, he did a fantastic job with a leak underneath our kitchen sink. He also pointed out a few other things that could be tweaked with our refrigeratorr drainage line.
Finally, we're thinking about a project to get water to a small backyard we have. We have solicited others, and Mike came up with the most efficient and cost-effective solution.
On top of all this, Mike is super pleasant and easy to talk to.
We will definitely be using Mike as our go-to plumber!

Finding Michael is honestly one of the best things that's happened to us since moving into our current home. It's hard to find someone who does high quality work, has fair pricing, is easy to communicate with, and is just plain pleasant to be around! Michael checks all the boxes.
We originally contacted him to put in a gas line for a new appliance. While providing the initial estimate, he was extremely detail-oriented and picked up on all sorts of little things, like our old water heater that desperately needed to be replaced. He offered to provide an estimate on that work as well.
We didn't end up putting in the gas line, but he did come replace the water heater. He worked quickly, efficiently, and very neatly. I hardly even noticed he was there! And I only learned after the job was completed that he encountered a hiccup in the process, but addressed it entirely without any complaints and without even needing to involve me. He got the entire job done in under a day including removal of the old water heater and a thorough cleanup.
We've since had him help with a number of other projects around the house. He's even provided some great recommendations for other types of work we needed help with (HVAC, electrician) Absolutely a pleasure to work with him and can't recommend him enough.
We are so grateful to have found him and look forward to working with him on future projects.
Very surprised by all the high reviews. Michael does give good advice, but he is pricey and is booking too many jobs per day. Because of this, he showed up several hours late and seemed in a rush. We weren't totally satisfied with his work or his attitude.
Mike installed a water heater for me, after giving me a very competitive price. No fuss,no muss. I am old enough to remember what a real good plumber is suppose to be and Mike is that guy. Great guy and an even better plumber! It's rare these days to find a person who is as honest, hard-working, and direct as Michael. I spoke with several plumbers and Michael was by far the most responsive and attentive. He was at my place within a day of my call and was beyond patient and positive in how he communicated with me.
His work was also outstanding. I had a very tricky situation when a previous contractor had completely botched a washer/dryer drainage pipe install. Thankfully, Michael came in and saved the day, completely fixing the original issue and improving upon it immensely. Now I no longer have any problems with the drainage of my washer/dryer. He also did the work up to code as well as installed a sink in my basement that works perfectly along with leaving a spotless work area once everything was completed
Bottom line: if you need a great plumber, who is fair with pricing and a genuinely good person, look no further than Michael Donahue!
Here is why I give them 5 stars--He's a licensed, hands on plumber and comes out to you rather than sending a crew. He recommended an important safety feature that is important that no one else ever recommended to our building. His prices are fair and thus far not the most expensive quote. He came out to work and fixed our problem.
I had yet another nightmare experience with a contractor I removed from my project.
I searched Yelp for a plumber to finish the job and Michael Donahue's reviews stood out as excellent. I admit I had my doubts after being burnt many times, but I must say, Michael was BEYOND excellent! Extremely professional, with fair pricing, and an eye for detail. Michael completed the most daunting task of correcting the mistakes made by my previous plumber at the same time meeting my high expectations and discriminating taste. Michael Donahue is a keeper!!
I've used Mike several times now for smaller and larger jobs and I would hesitate to have anyone else work on my apartment.
First of all, the estimates never changed regardless of the fact that some jobs were spaced out months apart from the time given to when the work was actually performed (my scheduling issues not his). Even though some were more work than anticipated the price stayed the same and extra/unanticipated parts were provided for no additional cost and weren't even pointed out to me, I could tell just by looking.
In one instance, there was a big issue with my building's pipes that was originally thought to be a clog in my apartment. Mike immediately diagnosed the real issue and when he didn't have the equipment on hand to fix the problem, it being an unanticipated issue, he recommended an emergency service and left without charge. Maybe some people would take that for granted but I appreciated his time, efforts and ultimate success in correctly identifying the problem and not charging me for a call. Most licensed plumbers have charged me regardless of if the problem was solved or not.
Lastly the quality of the work really speaks for itself. The work is never shoddy and inspires confidence that you've found the right guy for the job. I'm surprised there aren't more reviews up for him because he's always busy but maybe that's due to him working a lot of commercial jobs too. Anyway, I definitely recommend Mike for your home or apartment as well as building work because he's proven himself on small and large jobs.

If you're lucky enough to land Michael of Michael Donahue Plumbing and Heating to perform work for you around his busy schedule, consider it done and done right--with no headaches, no games and no delays. I have been renovating my townhouse in Cobble Hill for over a year and dealing with many plumbersand contractors and let me just say, Mike is of a different mold.
He built a master bathroom for me from scratch and I couldn't be more pleased with the work. He demo'd the walls and floors, roughed the piping, framed the walls, installed the tub (400lb cast iron that he moved around like a rag doll) installed the medicine cabinet, and more. The attention to detail, the workmanship and the knowledge and expertise he brought to the table were second to none. He actually made the experience enjoyable, which is very rare for a construction project. By the way, his contracting skills are just as solid as his plumbing work.
Also worth noting is the fact that he leaves the worksite spotless and was very respectful of my home and family. My wife was pregnant during the renovation and Mike was extra careful with dust and debris. There is nothing like coming home at night and finding a clean house and obvious progress on your project. He insists on using the highest quality material when he could easily use cheaper brands. The work you never see is the foundation of any good job and Mike takes tremendous pride in lasting, quality work. You just can't put a price on that kind of peace of mind. Take it from someone who near lost his mind dealing with a slew of glorified handymen. Mike is a true professional.

Mike installed a garbage disposal and a outdoor spigot at my condo recently. It's been a few weeks since the installation and everything is still working great. I had a hard time getting responses from other plumbers, It seems a lot busier than usual in Brooklyn due to covid. But, mike was responsive, affordable, and does quality work. He gave me good advice and finished the job on time and on budget. No issues at all, would recommend.

Michael is a first-rate professional. We had a drainage issue in our back garden - by no means a simple plumbing job. It was 4 full days of work and the quality of his work came through each day. Before the work even started, Michael made multiple site visits, worked/problem solved with our engineer, and presented us with a full work plan before starting. This is your guy if you want truly high quality plumbing work done by a professional. I interviewed multiple plumbing services before starting and it was clear from the onset Michael had (be far) the best expertise.
Oh and in the middle of all of this, our sink drain broke. That got fixed in about 15 minutes. So he is your guys for both larger contracting jobs and smaller, more day to day jobs.
My moms toilets was during during covid. I contacted Michael to fix it based on the highly recommended yelp reviews. Michael was prompt to respond and showed up at the next day. He was very professional during covid times and fixed the issues while maintaing social distancing.
My mom was impressed and we would highly recommend Michael for any plumbing issues.

I Called Mike Donahue for a boiler water pipe (badly rusted) repair. He responded immediately and hours later he was at my home assessing the problem. He gave me a monetary quote for the repair, which was reasonable and I agreed too. He proceeded to make the repairs in a minimal amount of time. The pictures I attached don't really do justice as far as what task he faced to make the repairs. The pipe was practically wedged between the boiler and a wall (13 inches). Not only did he repair the pipe nicely, he pointed out some other anticipated problems that might arise in the future. He made some additional repairs and fine tuned to my boiler. Moreover, when the job was completed, Mike actually lowered my my final bill! Mike is very personable and professional and highly recommend him for any plumbing job you may have no matter how big or small. Great job Mike!
One of the few genuinely helpful and intelligent quotes I've ever received on Yelp. I had a heating problem that I had to reach out to a bunch of people for quotes on ASAP. I described it thoroughly, and Michael was the ONLY person who responded with any ideas or knowledge about the problem--everyone else just replied with an 'interesting, give me a call' or 'hi id love to help' with no quote whatsoever. What's the use of the Yelp quote service if the people don't actually give you a quote? Ridiculous. Anyway, don't hesitate to contact Michael--this guy is the real deal.

I contacted Michael's company through Yelp's app very early Friday morning. He responded almost immediately with his cell phone. By the early afternoon he was in my home and fixed our problem (slow drain with a leak under the sink). And did I mention he's very quick. And gave us a fair price for the level of workmanship ( very careful about your house, made sure no mess was left).
We were so impressed we asked him to install a few vanities in our upstairs bathrooms which will be scheduled very soon. If you're looking for an honest plumber who actually cares call him. You won't be disappointed.
UPDATE: Michael installed the two vanities the next week. He did a great job. Removed all the old plumbing and sinks and packaged everything nice and neat for the sanitation department. Superb installation. Can't recommend enough.

We chose Michael blindly from Yelp reviews and so glad we did. Professional, friendly and reasonable. He was so kind as to help us with a big job which was sort of last minute and stayed late too. Then again a few days later with a separate issue. I would absolutely call him again for a job and recommend him to all.
Mike was very responsive and we quickly set up an appointment after I reached out on Yelp.
He and his colleague were friendly, professional and did a great job. The price seemed pretty reasonable and Mike was open about quoting other potential work.
I live in a very old house and Mike handled the related issues in the repair well. I think he probably spent more time than expected because of it, but did not charge more or change his original estimate. He also helpfully pointed out other problems that would require work.
I highly recommend Mike.

My hot water heater was flooding. Mike came as quickly as he could, recommended a smaller unit that cost less but provides plenty of hot water, installed it quickly and efficiently, and cleaned up perfectly. He and his coworker were polite and gracious and wore masks. Mike is the kind of workman I'm always looking for, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I just wish he could fix everything that breaks.
Called Mike for a repair to a steam boiler that a different company declined to repair. (Even though they were the ones that had installed the boiler originally).
Mike made an appointment to look at the project - came when he said he would - reviewed what was needed, gave me an estimate and scheduled a date for the repair.
The day of the scheduled repair he let me know what time he would be arriving - came on time and despite some additional work that was required completed the fix for the quoted price.
Throughout I found Mike to be friendly, reliable and straightforward. There was never any issue with communication. Going forward he will be the one I call for any plumbing work in my building.

I recently moved into a new apartment and discovered a leak in a pipe under my kitchen sink. I called Mike and he was able to come the very next day (a Saturday). He took all precautions in coming into my apartment during the pandemic, wearing a mask and gloves. He quickly and efficiently replaced the pipe, fixed a second leak that he found, and also tightened my kitchen faucet which was a little loose. He did an expert job, kept my kitchen clean, and charged a fair price. I can't recommend Mike Donahue more highly for any necessary plumbing work. I will certainly call him again if I have any other plumbing issues.

Recently purchased an older home in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. We were having new floors installed and needed to have our radiators removed and then reinstalled. We were referred to Mike by the flooring company (Verrazano). He coordinated with us and the flooring company. Came on time and did great work. While removing the radiators I talked to Mike about some concerns that I had about our older furnace/heating system. While there he inspected the system and two days later, when reinstalling the radiators, was able to service the system and upgrade all the older valves on the radiators to new more efficient ones. A week later we had Mike install a new programable digital thermostat which he took time to explain how to program. All work was resonably priced and quoated before any work was done.
Mike is very knowledgable and confident. He was able to make, what was for us (new home owners), a stressfull contstruction project easy and stress free. I would absolutely reccomend Michael Donahue Plumbing and Heating.
Our bath tub faucet had been dripping for a while, but had gotten worse. In addition, the drain to the tub was no longer sealing properly and wasn't keeping the water in the tub. Texted Mike. Since it wasn't an urgent job, we agreed for him to come a few days later. Mike came on time and wore a mask. He ran into a bit of snag with the repair and had to run out and get a new shower handle. But even with that, he was done in 2 hours. Everything works. He cleaned up after himself. He was polite and communicative. And his rate was reasonable. Would definitely use him again.
We got our water heater leaking and it needed to be changed. I was very picky choosing a plumber for this task. I am glad now I found Mike here on Yelp. He is a gem, bright head and know his business from A to Z, no doubt. He came on-time with his teammate and they removed the old heater and installed new one for under 2hrs, they made sure it was properly working, tested it and helped to get old heavy unit outdoor taking up one flight of stairs to the curb. I can't be thankful enough and it was absolutely positive experience and the price was corresponding with other guys I got quotes from. Overall I was provided with quality efficient and stress free service and I have no doubt I will use Mike again for any plumbing issues in the future!

Based on Yelp reviews, I contacted Michael several months ago to take a look at a few non-emergency plumbing issues. He responded quickly and scheduled an appointment for later in the week. I appreciate that Michael kept cost effectiveness in mind. He offered a variety of solutions with a range of costs and explained the pros and cons of each. In the end, we had him replace a toilet, which he did promptly, efficiently, and precisely in the budget he had quoted. I was pleased with the quality of the work and would definitely call him again in the future.
Mike was absolutely fabulous, a pleasure to work with, and we will absolutely call on him for additional work. He is quick to respond and direct about the work that needs to be done. We talked through what our needs were and came up with a short term solution and a long term plan. Mike is a responsive, professional, who does great work! He replaced our water heater and there were absolutely no issues. He is licensed and insured, shows up when he says he will and he was respectful and cautious about not impacting the common areas of our building and the work space in our home. Would recommend and work with him again, without hesitation.

Michael was great. Highly professional and fixed our clogged drain quickly. I also appreciated how thoughtful he was about good COVID practices - wore a mask, social distanced from me, asked about my health and the building. He did a great job and I would highly recommend him and feel comfortable having in my home again.
Michael came on very short notice to fix a noisy radiator in our baby's nursery. He quickly identified the problem and went above and beyond to make sure my wife and I were happy. He even gave some advice on balancing the steam heating system in our old house.
The short of it: I will definitely call him in the future should I need a plumber again.

Mike is responsive and professional. He made time to come to my building on a Saturday and quickly diagnosed my boiler issue and provided me with a competitive and fair quote. One of my favorite things about Mike is that he PICKS UP HIS PHONE, which is not common. He was accessible throughout the process, and although I ended up going with someone else who was closer to my neighborhood, I would definitely hire Mike in the future if the need arises. He's a good guy and this is a good company.

At 9 PM on Friday night, 1/31/20, I found our hot water heater leaking badly. A well-known local plumbing company, who had installed the water heater 17 years before, said they could not come until Monday morning at the earliest. I then called Mike Donahue, who we had never used before. He walked me through turning off the main valve to the water heater, as well as the gas. After I sent him photos, he came back within 15 minutes with a quote. He was at the house by 2 PM the next day and by 5 PM, a new water heater was installed, the old one removed and everything left clean. He was professional, personable and very competent. The price was fair and the work was efficiently and quickly done. Mike Donahue is now my new plumber.
We had a plumber tell us recently that we needed to have a large bathroom job done because of a plumbing defect, and oh by the way, they could do it for us. I was suspicious and contacted Mike to take a look. He fixed the problem easily without the extra work that the first plumber said we needed. There is enough drama in plumbing already, and we were grateful that Mike could cut through the BS and just take care of business.

Michael replaced our broken garbage disposal today. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. He even removed the broken machine for us! I will definitely use him in the future.

( five stars !!)I called Michael Donahue when our Boiler blew during a cold spell (18 degrees) our home had no heat( EMERGENCY). He immediately came over and assessed the problem. He worked 13 hour days and had us up and running in no time with a new boiler. Michael is no-nonsense, hardworking and straight forward about everything. He gave us a fair price and got the job done. Michael is old school, that is to say, he works with pride in his work, attention to detail and customer satisfaction. It's a trait that is getting more difficult to come by these days. We will not hesitate to call Michael again for any problem or advice.
Based on previous yelp reviews I reached out on a Friday afternoon with a small non-emergent job to replace bathtub fixtures that were stripped. Michael responded immediately via yelp and texted me to set up an appointment for Monday morning. He was easy to work with, fair and professional. Would use again in a heartbeat for any size job. Believe all of the 5 star reviews for Michael Donahue Plumbing & Heating! Mike arrived today at my apartment in Brooklyn to repair a leak in my shower valve (i.e., to replace a cartridge in the valve). As many of the reviews emphasize, Mike is an absolute expert and he will get the job done to your utmost satisfaction. Moreover, he is friendly, courteous, and honest. Unlike other plumbers, he will not overcharge you for his work, and yes, it is true that he is not only reasonable and fair with the price that he charges for his work, but he does not go over the estimate that he will quote when you describe the plumbing problem to him via email or text message and send to him a photo of the valve, faucet, pipe, etc. that needs to be repaired. He is hands down one the very best, if not the best, plumber in Brooklyn and perhaps in all of NYC.

I live in a new construction townhome that has many issues with heat and hot water. My neighbors spent a fortune fixing something boiler related over several visits from a boiler company that Michael figured out for our unit in two visits. His availability was awesome as well. Very easy to work with and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Michael could not have been more responsive, professional, and efficient. Despite being incredibly busy with other jobs, he responded immediately to my email and texts, and fixed my plumbing problem in a matter of minutes. Called Mike at Michael Donahue Plumbing for help with a sump pump issue that caused some flooding in the basement. Mike came promptly, gave us a fair price to evaluate everything and was able to fix it without making unnecessary repairs or increasing the cost. We were so pleased with not only his professionalism and knowledge, but with his care for our property by protecting the marble tiles on the floor while we was working and properly cleaning up after he was done. In fact, we asked him to help us fixing a leaky gas valve and do additional work to create a proper outside fresh air intake for the sewer line and he did a fantastic job when he came back for that appointment. Highly recommend Mike for any plumbing work and looking forward to using him again on another project soon!
Very pleased with Michael's services! I called him to replace a leaking water heater. Despite having not been his customer before, he responded to my initial e-mail within minutes, and managed to fit the work in the next day, at a price I was happy with. The installation was done well and the area left nice and clean. My water is hot and my boiler room dry -- just the way I like it. He even did something to a sticky door he encountered that made it work better, without being asked. I'd definitely use him again.

Mike came to the rescue when I dropped a very precious piece of jewelry down the bathroom sink drain. I called him in the morning and he was at our apartment in Manhattan by that afternoon. He was professional, polite, skilled, and most importantly - got the earring out of the pipe of our sink. In addition to everything, he also went out of his way to fix our pop-up drain that hand't been working properly. I am very grateful for Mike's work and would call him again in a heartbeat for our next plumbing need. Thank you!
After dealing with quite a few hack plumbers, we called Mike after reading great reviews of him online. Now we totally agree with the reviews! He returned our call promptly even on a weekend and was able to come by the next day to look at several plumbing issues we had in our apartment. Upon arriving, he was immediately able to identify the problems and had them fixed in no time. He was even able to help our neighbor who had a leak coming into our apartment. After Mike left, everything has been running smoothly and he even had tips for us as preventative measures to mitigate any potential future problems. We are very thankful to have Mike as our plumber and agree completely with his many five-star reviews. We first started working with him when our hot-water heater went out over a weekend. Several of the plumbing companies we called wouldn't talk to us until Monday unless we'd paid for their on-call service. Mike was super helpful despite the fact that we were new customers and had a plan in place to have the job completed Monday morning rather than just getting underway then for a later completion. Since then he has replaced several rusted pipes and has never tried to upsell us or make more work for himself. He is not always the cheapest estimate but he'll tell you why the job costs what it does, what corners he refuses to cut and let you come to your own conclusion without pressuring you. He's honest, direct and straightforward. He's quick about responding on the phone and doesn't leave you hanging. You couldn't choose a better plumber.
