Best Plumbing Services in Texas
this is the letter i sent to Rogers Plumbing today, after my service call this morning.
I had a service call this morning with your company. I found you online, with a google search for bathtub drain repair and my zip code.
My service call was to remove and replace a bathtub drain that was corroded, with the cross hairs missing, that I could not remove myself.
Your two gentlemen arrived and there was an older gentlemen and a younger helper.
The two gentlemen were clean cut, and looked nice, got to work, and apparently the drain was so corroded that it was not coming out. The older gentlemen left to call for another tech to come by with their tool, while the younger helper stayed inside and kept trying.
Here is where it gets interesting!!!
I was sitting in my bedroom right by the bathroom and just letting them do their thing. The older gentlemen left, but the younger helper kept working. He didn't know I was right in the next room listening while looking at emails. He was working so hard. Groaning. Trying.... Resting for a second.... trying again with all his might over and over and over and over. For about 15 minutes. Or longer. He stayed with it even though it seemed impossible, and he was apparently putting a great amount of effort and energy to it.
Takeaway... this young man, with no one watching (he thought) could have not tried so hard. He could have taken a break. He could have given up. He could have doddled. HE DIDN'T! He kept trying very hard, knowing no one was watching, and he finally got it loose. (I was silently praying that he did, so he would feel good, and my drain would be fixed.)
I work with and help manage building engineers in high rise buildings in my job. They rarely work this hard!
I want to give this young man the highest praise possible for what I witnessed this morning.
I hope everyone in your company, including the ownership can read my letter.
This is the kind of thing that is really inspiring to see, and I am certain this young man will be successful in whatever he does.
Thank you for listening,

I have been in th Heating Air Conditioning Refrigeration and Electrical business in West Texas for over 40 years, my son has a Farmers Insurance Agency in Lubbock, I visit my kids and grandchildren there often, So I visited the Lubbock Morrison Supply, now..... I use them to purchase our equipment, parts and warranty issues. Wow to my surprise I was beyond impressed, the manager by the name of Chris Boger, welcomed us, took interest in our business and needs, and set us up, introduced me to a sales representative by the name of Chase and we have been treated like VIP ever since. It didn't stop there, the warehouse was so organized (actually iI have never seen such organization) with eager friendly professional staff to get us loaded , triple checked our order and made sure our load was secure. Furthermore, there delivery driver fit right in as well, courteous, very careful that our equipment is not damaged, I really thought those days were gone! But not at Morrison in Lubbock! Thanks again for being there for small businesses as well as the big boys! Gary G Boyd @Boyd Services

I called these guys because of a neighbor recommendation and happened to be the cheapest plumbers that I had called. They came out and brought Ethel(the augur) and did the job perfectly. I had other plumbers come out and say that we didn't have any roots in our pipe and only used a regular 50ft snake with a regular spiral head. Mr Wilson's crew came out, with Ethel with a proper cutter head and found roots the first time through. The other plumbers just blamed my wife and her feminine products' that I know isn't the problem. These guys are the pros you are looking for, for the price you are looking for. They even helped me with my bathroom drain I have been having trouble with snaking myself by showing me how to snake the drain properly, free of charge because I did it myself with my own equipment. These two guys were super nice, respectful, helpful and extremely professional. I can't recommend them enough! 10/5 stars!

Requested an estimate to repair our water heater and replace the old lines. The guy came out and was friendly and seemed knowledgeable; however they never provided the estimate.

Professional, punctual and affordable! I am so impressed by the impeccable quality of work they provided and not to mention that it was very short notice. Don't bother to look around, I got several quotes and was given many responses but no one else was as friendly, knowledgeable or helpful. I highly recommend Advanced Plumbing Solutions to all my family and friends!! Thank you again for the top notch service!!

I'm a landlord with multiple properties and occasionally need help with plumbing issues. I've used this Roto-Rooter location twice for drain blockages. They are polite, efficient on the phone, dispatch quickly, professional (according to my tenants), address the issue quickly, and are fairly priced. As a guy that deals with a lot of subcontractors, this place stands out as top of the class. Thank you for all you do.

Okay, because of positive reviews, I left message on web site. Wait 24 hours, no response. So I call. I tell her I tried to contact them through web. Lady starts talking about somebody with feet up on table and things not being done, blah blah. Sounds like a nice lady, but have no confidence in their business. Said thank you and hung up. Called another plumbing company.

Thank you Martin for the quick response, evaluation and service on my A/C. Your honesty, expert knowledge and recommendations were appreciated. I hope not soon, but look forward to working with you in the future if I have A/C or plumbing needs. I received you glowing reviews from Next Door and the reviews were spot on.

I used this company because my heater wasn't working. When I called to inquire about cost, I was told it would be $79 for the service call and if I wanted them to fix the problem it would be more depending on what the issue was. The guy was there for about 30 minutes before he determined it was my transformer. He asked me if I wanted him to go ahead and fix it, I asked how much and he said $250. Me, not knowing any better said okay. When it was time to settle up I was astonished to the see the bill. They use a predetermined price for certain stages. I was a Stage 2 charge, which was straight up $250. No one ever mention this pricing scam to me. I researched the price of the transformer and found it at Home Depot for $12.55!! So for 1 hr. labor and a part that cost $12.55 they charged me $329...quite a markup!! I think they are a bunch of crooks and will not recommend them to anyone!!
PS-Keep in mind the weather temperature was in the teens!! Two days later my heater is not working again!!. I called them and they said that it would be warrantied if it was the same problem if not there would be a charge. So, I'm thinking NOT. I will not be suckered again!! Called another company and they charge $34.95 for service call and do not have a predetermined Stage pricing. So BEWARE this company!!

There's a reason this place has 1 star, go use Best Value Plumbing instead, they are way cheaper and they make sure that they can't do anything else before making it into a big job. I called Roto-Rooter at the suggestion of a friend and they came out and it took 5 minutes saying I had a clog, the toilet clogged again a week later. I called them back and they came out and only then did they remove the toilet and chip the toilet and run a camera down to check. I was quoted $1800 to fix the issue. Why didn't they catch this issue the first time around? Why didn't they take out the loose phalange the first or second time they were here? I now have spent over $200 for them to do nothing but chip my new toilet and blame that on me.
After I called Best Value Plumbing and they checked it out, with a $1200 quote over the phone and keeping it at that after checking it out, I called the owner Sean at Roto-Rooter and he said he couldn't beat that price and would have to charge me for today. I said well how much since he chipped my toilet and he said nevermind and then got pissed when he thought I hung up. He then called back and said that the toilet was lose and that's why his guy dropped it and it chipped and that id still need to pay the $135.50 for today. I will pay this but let it be known that I will never ever use Roto-Rooter for any reason. I only got a second quote after hearing from people that I was being charged too much, I'm just trying to save some money and that's not a crime.
The guy came back today to collect the $135 and I texted him a coupon. He told me that coupon wasn't theirs and that I could only use one once a month. When he arrived he says that it wasn't the right coupon and that they were Mr. Rooter and it was a different franchise. I gave him the $135 reluctantly and told him to get off my property. He said I was lucky he was at work.
Update: Best Value Plumbing completed the job without having to jackhammer my floor. So thankful that I didn't stick with what Mr. Rooter said to do, I'd be out $1800 and I'm sure they would've figured out something else to add to that price.
