Best Electricians in Texas
The ladies who answer the phones are great. But they charge you $50 to come out and tell you how much more they will charge. There are better companies that don't charge as much.

I am so happy to have found McDavitt Electric and Master Electrician, Clayton! I found him online and took a chance because he was within 5 miles of my house. He replied to my email within the hour, and made a same-day appointment with me. I had a long list of electrical jobs to be done, but one was a top priority. Clayton had it done that day, and I will have him back to work on the other jobs next week. He was punctual, friendly, thorough, and did excellent work. My husband and I appreciate the fact that he didn't offer us just one way to complete each job--he gave us several viable options and let us decide how we wanted to have things done. I trust him 100% to complete the work we want done, and look forward to having new outlets installed and new lighting in my kitchen! Call McDavitt--you won't be disappointed!

I had a great experience through out my projects with Justin and his crew. Justin was always responsive, showed up when he said they would, and was open to any changes that I had. This was very refreshing as most contractors I've dealt with have not been responsive and just randomly show up. I highly recommend Justin and his crew to anyone needing electrical work. The crew did great work for me and were a pleasure to work with. I'll definitely use Goat Electric again when I need more electrical work.

Great communication, thorough, great price. Quality effort. Needed several new light replacements throughout my home. They took the time to review and understand the work before giving an estimate.

Scott did a lot of the electrical work in our last home, as well as changing out an amp/wall socket for a new dryer I bought. He works quickly, and is professional. He is competitive in pricing and provides quality work that will make you feel safe and secure. I highly recommend his company, and will continue to use him for our electrical needs.

Four days after my hip replacement our water heater stopped working. We called our plumber and he couldn't find anything wrong with the coils, so the next morning I called a number of electricians, many weren't even available until the next week. I then called FireFly Electric, I told them the same situation we were in and they made it a priority. FireFly dispatched one of their supervisors to our house and found that our 30 Amp breaker had failed. I'm a curious person and enjoy learning and FireFly was very accommodating in educating exactly why and how the component had failed and what the current building code encompass and what was in place at the time of our construction. He also told us about whole home surge protection which is something I'd been looking at.
He was able to replace the failed breaker immediately and put our water back in service, showers and clean dishes for all. I would highly recommend FireFly, prices are competitive and as a company they actually listen to their customers.

As a new costumer, They told me they had to do an inspection first before doing any work. Yes, the house is old (1976 build) and that all the things that needed to get done would be $15,000. Ok fine, as if. Don't get me started w/ their discount for signing up for their membership rewards program that required a fee lol.

Gueldner electric is an excellent company.
Their office staff, Patricia and Cindy, do everything possible to accommodate your request for services and billing; and try their utmost to notify you if their is a scheduling problem or they are running behind. I would highly recommend them to anyone requiring electrical work. Pat Gueldner is tops in my book

I made the decision to replace my older Trane Heat Pump and air handler this year, read the reviews for Champion and called them. Met with Michael on several occasions to take heat exchange measurements for recommended tonage of new unit. I never felt pressured, in fact I had to call him a few times to get the deal moving toward a quote with the size unit I wanted. Took a few months to get to a purchase of a 5 ton unit but I wasn't in a hurry and no one pressured me. I have had an issue with insufficient air to master bedroom due to only having one air register and Mike recommended a solution that was less expensive than changing out all the attic ducts and plenum (which would have been $10K), his solution cost me $1,5K). On installation day early and on-time, the crew showed up and I immediately showed them around and where I was locking up the dogs in the laundry room so they would be out of the way. Also told them I live on a corner lot, have had grab and run theft of tools in my garage so not to leave the garage door open unattended. Before I even left for work, I observed the garage door open and no one in sight. Gave them the same request again after a few minutes when one of the employees finally came back to the front of the house from the back yard. He told me they could not keep the door closed! So that was a fail. I told them if anything was stolen from the garage I would expect that Champion would be responsible for it. Inside the house, I overheard them say that they did not have enough drop cloths in their truck for the floor, so that was a fail. I am in process of replacing my flooring anyway except for the new tile by the Air Handler closet so did not worry too much as long as that new tile was protected. Had to call Michael twice because of the garage door issue and then asked them where the old cement/foam pad that was under the old heat pump was placed, it was not set aside like Mike and I agreed so either he did not tell them or they did not listen. I had also asked Mike to make sure that the electronic Honeywell Thermostat that was on the old system would be left for me (it would not work with my new variable stage system) because it was a rather expensive thermostat and I could give it to one of my children for their home. It disappeared despite my request, and I noticed that it was not left for me and called Mike that same evening after the crew left--so could have easily asked the installers what happened to it and to bring it back to me (it was not even 30 minutes after the crew left that I noticed it was missing). Surely the $220.00 thermostat that worked perfectly was not thrown away? So that was a fail. I called Mike back the next day and he said no one 'fessed up to taking it! I really feel that if a company removes a perfectly functional piece of equipment, they should ask the client whether they want it back as it may have some value to the client.
Then I noticed that the wood sill under the door to the air handler was seriously scratched up and really filthy, and would require sanding and repainting entirely. I was also told that the hole that was preexisting in the sheet rock inside the air handler closet would be completely repaired with a rebuilt interior closet. However, the old sheet rock hole (from a prior AC company replacement of the breaker box inside the closet and poor workmanship leaving a gaping hole in the upper wall so hot air from the attic got in) was merely taped over with silver foil tape, not what I was told by Mike--that the closet would be completely rebuilt and air tight. Perhaps that was a misunderstanding of what he meant, but taping over the hole was not what I expected. The A/C works well, and I was given 2 extra air filters for the air handler so that was very nice as the house is being renovated and a lot of dust is being generated from demolition. It could have been a much more pleasant installation experience for me, but I am particular (and make that well-known). I would have put all my verbal requests in writing with a response from the company had I known that my expectations were not being noted. Also I think that the sales person that handles all the pre-installation contacts should show up on installation day to go over everything with the customer and the crew because I felt like I was on my own with the crew that got rather hostile towards me when I mentioned anything that they deemed bossy like making sure the garage door was not left open and unattended, etc. Then the foreman got edgy with me when I called Mike to complain as I felt that they were ignoring my request and Mike called him! I really did not appreciate being talked down to. That conversation was so awkward and uncomfortable for me to go through and then I had to leave for work wondering how secure my house was. Maybe they were just having a bad day. From reading the prior reviews, others did not have the same experience at install that I did.

These guys were fantastic. They sent a text 30-45 minutes prior to arrival (with technician information so I knew who would be coming), and came out with 2 technicians. I have a commercial stove/range that sparked and created electrical issues - they came out, provided honest advice, and made me feel comfortable without pushing for unnecessary work. I will need to have a stove expert out but will absolutely be calling them back out after my range is fixed and for other electrical needs.

I am very happy with my experience with this company! I was very impressed with the knowledge and awesome customer service I received from the owner. Corey went the extra mile to make sure we were happy as customers and I admire the integrity he showed representing his company. I hired his company based in their online reviews and I would definitely recommend them to other consumers. Thanks again for your great customer service and excellent quality of work!

Awful. Will not use again. Zero stars. Here's why; 1. He changed the scheduled appointment. 2. He didn't set expectations of cost up front (it's a minimum of 2 hours, costing $170). 3. He didn't have the parts needed to do the job despite being told what was needed in advance, and even texted a photo of part that was failing - who goes to work without the proper tools? He performed an hour's worth of work, which would have been fine if he had done it right the first time. 4. Incomplete Work: I had to ask Adrian to return to finish the job correctly, specifically to replace a $12 part that should have been done the first time. 5. Attitude: Upon return, he was moody, irritable, and unapologetic having to come back to do what should have been done the first time. He didn't say anything after completing the work, he just drove off. Not professional. Find someone else.
