Vela Electric is owned by Mr. Joe Vela.  He is a well known person in this town.  We here at the Frio Co. Sheriff's Department have utilized his services for at least ten years and we find him to be a very reliable and fair manager of his business.  He will do almost any reasonable job, electrical and moving, plus he and his crew are trustworthy and punctual.  He will give you fair estimates before he does the job and he will tell you if the job is within the range of his companies' abilities or not.  You can be up-front with him and he will treat you respectfully.

I wanted electricity run out from my electric box  to a shed on the other side of my property. I got several bids; the Cross Texas's bid landed right in the middle. I chose Cross Texas because Ronnie, the owner, seemed knowledgeable and honest and his price was very reasonable especially considering that the guys who came in a bit lower didn't strike me as professionals. Well, I am very pleased with my choice. Cross Texas got the job done fast and professionally. Ronnie took care to involve me in the process to make sure he completed the job as I wanted it. There were no surprises and communication before and during the job was excellent. I would recommend Cross Texas Electric without any reservations.

To have Eric, the owner of the business, visit us today was great. He fixed my bathroom light fixture. He even put in his own LED lights and explained to us how to save money on them. I liked how he spent time with us explaining what he did and took the time talking to us. I will definitely call on him again! It's nice to see someone take the time to talk to his customers the way Eric did! Good job Eric!

I had a GFCI that kept tripping and called Chadwick find out why.  He came by and figured out the cause of the problem within about 10 minutes.  (I had been trying for weeks.)  I then solicited him for advice on a sun lamp that I was unsure about how to hook up, and he gladly and thoughtfully took the time to check it out for me. Best of all, he charged me half price for the call as he was here for such a short length of time.  Nice guy, honest, and a straight-shooter.  Highly recommended.

Blew my mind how quickly they responded.  Had contacted 3 other electricians first, one cancelled and the other two never got back with us.  They had what they needed on the truck and advised me of a manufacturing defect that I could exchange the defective part to have a spare on hand in case of another failure.  Would highly recommend to anyone needing electrical work done.  You won't regret it!

I needed a light installed with motion detection as well as a few other things. Super polite and exceptional service. 10/10! I highly recommend!

Greg and his associate did a wonderful  job with several items that needed to be installed in our home as well as installing a new outside outlet that we needed. Greg and his team were very thorough, friendly, informative, and professional. They are reasonably priced as well. I also love their online consultation appt booking process, so simple and efficient.

Larry and Logan were great. They are friendly and professional. Checked all aspects of the problem to make sure all bases were covered, gave every effort to solve it, communicated well throughout and finished up with a clean work site. Just nice people you would want to see do well. Would refer to anyone and call again if any electrical need arises.

I requested a quote for services through Yelp and Todd replied very promptly to discuss the electrical issues. We booked an appointment for the next day, which Todd arrived promptly (even early!) for. This was especially nice since the electrician we'd booked for the previous day no-showed their appointment.

Todd fixed our garbage disposal switch and switch plate (which had broken off), ensured it was in working order, and even asked if there was anything else that needed to be looked at. We had an outlet that never had power and he fixed that too! He was quick, affordable, and dependable.

We will be booking him for some bigger electrical repairs that he kindly surveyed with me at my appointment. Definitely recommend Puckett Electric!

After living outside of McKinney proper for seven years, we are still distressed to find how difficult it is to find reliable service people.  ABR Electric is outstanding.  The electrician texted to let us know that he was on his way and showed up right on time.  The job required about 6 1/2 hours, and he worked steadily, stopping only for a short lunch break and to pick up a part.  He was friendly, knowledgeable and cleaned up after himself.  We are happy to know who to call when we need an electrician in the future.

Timothy and Daniel were so quick and nice! They arrived on time. Replaced two 2-prong outlets to 3-prong, but they also figured out what this one switch near our door was for. They both were also great conversationalists. Will be calling them for more electrical issues/additions in the future.

Tayler was professional and responsive. He did a great job installing the Tesla wall charger quickly and efficiently. I have other house projects that need an electrician, so I'll be sure to contact them again. I would prefer a more predictable scheduling system so I can plan my other appointments around it for an even more efficient experience, but I am satisfied with the work and fees. Excellent service! Responses to request for an estimate quickly. Came and made repairs needed and stayed within estimate. Highly recommend.

I recently moved into my new place and needed someone reasonably priced to install TV's. The guy was able to come in and do amazing work on 2 TV's. He even hid the wires behind the wall to make it presentable. I didn't even know that was possible. He also informed me he does other work such as artwork, curtains, and home theater installation. I have some more projects coming up in the future and will definitely reach out to him again. Highly recommended.

W3 did a great job installing my Ring Camera and ceiling fan. the tech was professional and knew what he was doing. The work areas were cleaned up and old lights were removed and disposed of.

Would recommend and will use again.

This company is sneaky, greedy and unprofessional - especially Larry and Joe. They are just not good people or right in the head. I would not even recommend them to my worst enemy. There are better, more reliable companies to seek out.

I placed a query on HomeAdvisor for an electrician to take take care of some lighting I would need installed on the exterior of my home.  One of the companies that called me was Electrician For Hire.  John was the guy's name.  He called me at 8 on a Saturday evening and we talked about the project that I needed done.  10-15 minutes later, John said he would have a guy out to the house the latest they can on Friday at 4pm in order to take a look and come up with a quote.  He said they stop work at 4:30.  No problem.

Fast forward to Friday.  At 4:10pm no one had shown up so I called John to ask about his technician.  He said they weren't supposed to be there until 5pm tonight.  He said it was in his notes.  However, in the Saturday discussion he told me his guys don't work past 4:30 and he asked me if his guy could be at the house at 4.  I was good with 4 because I was leaving town at 5.  I let it go for the moment as he said he would get someone out to the house now.  His technician calls and says he'll be happy to come out tomorrow (Saturday) in order to look over the project and deliver a quote.  I explained to the technician that this was outside the terms of agreement from John.  I told the technician to disregard and that I would contact John to cancel.

I sent a text message to John stating that I was disenchanted with the fact that his technician didn't even know about it until moments earlier, which means I was forgotten about, anyway.  I let him know that I will be looking for a new and more reliable electrician to handle my project.  John's response:  You Go Girl.  When I called to accost him of the disrespect, he stated, Look, I am making light of the situation.  Don't be weird about it.

Can John do the work? I don't know.  He can talk the talk, though, and make you feel like he's got your project covered.  Myself, I do not give my business to those who lie, forget, change times, or flat out disrespect.

My suggestion to those needing an electrician in my area, find a more reputable one.  Leave the kids out of your home projects.
