Joe Vela Electric is the GO TO electrical company in the Frío County area.

I decided to do some do it yourself and find myself popping some breakers and such.

I reached out to Mr. Vela and his team for help and they responded in less than an hour himself.

A quick inspection and he quickly found and resolved the issue.  

The problem was fixed in a matter of minutes and the price was more than reasonable.

My electrical problem was very tricky!  Parts of one room were out and an entire room next to a bathroom (which worked perfectly) completely down.  Steven came out the same day and checked it out.  He found the situation right away as he understands how new houses are wired.  Awesome work, great price as he says he didn't do much, however someone else may have gouged my eyes out.  Thank God for integrity, honesty and great work...definitely recommended!!

We've used ABR several times over the past several years, and every single time they are prompt, reasonably priced and provide amazing quality and customer service.  They did a beautiful job installing recessed can lighting in our family room and living room (with particular attention to getting the spacing and placement absolutely perfect!).  We've used them for other repairs around the house, including replacing dimmers and outlets that weren't working, fixing an issue that was causing problems with our pool equipment, and other minor repairs.  They've come out on short notice to help when needed, and are always friendly, helpful and terrific to work with. I highly recommend ABR!

David did an outstanding job. He quickly and efficiently installed two smart thermostats. Tayler made his way out to my house during this past freeze, and redid 10 electrical outlets as well as moving over a breaker that kept flipping off my entire house.

He did great work, and I have him scheduled to come out and upgrade my entire breaker box in the next few weeks.

Michael was able to meet in my house at a time convenient for me to give a quote days within my initial contact with him. He provided me a recommendation for a safe solution based on my poor requirements and my even worse understanding of how electricity works.

Week later he and his teammate came promptly at 8:30 AM and knocked off the job before they left to lunch.

They were professional, provided safe and nice looking solution and charged more than a reasonable amount.

Bought a new 75 TV today on a whim and were eager to get it mounted. Contacted multiple TV mounters in Dallas but Hang Pros was the only company that was willing to come out last minute on a Saturday night to squeeze us in. The representative that came out was extremely professional and did a fantastic job. Really went above and beyond to make sure that our TV looked perfect in relation to our room and our furniture. Excellent attention to detail and would definitely use this service again for all of our future services. Thanks again Hang Pros for your amazing service!

They were on time and polite. The bathroom light/fart fan needed to be remounted after I tried to replace a bulb and had broke a clip I thought.  The ESTIMATE WAS $460, I bought a replacement Light/ fan at Home Depot for $60 and after reading the  instructions realized all I needed was the right nut to reattach the fixture and then snap in the cover. They wanted to gouge the customer for something they could have done for less than $100.
The tech waived the service call fee  but the outrageous price makes me wonder how many people they have taken advantage of.

This company is sneaky, greedy and unprofessional - especially Larry and Joe. They are just not good people or right in the head. I would not even recommend them to my worst enemy. There are better, more reliable companies to seek out.

I placed a query on HomeAdvisor for an electrician to take take care of some lighting I would need installed on the exterior of my home.  One of the companies that called me was Electrician For Hire.  John was the guy's name.  He called me at 8 on a Saturday evening and we talked about the project that I needed done.  10-15 minutes later, John said he would have a guy out to the house the latest they can on Friday at 4pm in order to take a look and come up with a quote.  He said they stop work at 4:30.  No problem.

Fast forward to Friday.  At 4:10pm no one had shown up so I called John to ask about his technician.  He said they weren't supposed to be there until 5pm tonight.  He said it was in his notes.  However, in the Saturday discussion he told me his guys don't work past 4:30 and he asked me if his guy could be at the house at 4.  I was good with 4 because I was leaving town at 5.  I let it go for the moment as he said he would get someone out to the house now.  His technician calls and says he'll be happy to come out tomorrow (Saturday) in order to look over the project and deliver a quote.  I explained to the technician that this was outside the terms of agreement from John.  I told the technician to disregard and that I would contact John to cancel.

I sent a text message to John stating that I was disenchanted with the fact that his technician didn't even know about it until moments earlier, which means I was forgotten about, anyway.  I let him know that I will be looking for a new and more reliable electrician to handle my project.  John's response:  You Go Girl.  When I called to accost him of the disrespect, he stated, Look, I am making light of the situation.  Don't be weird about it.

Can John do the work? I don't know.  He can talk the talk, though, and make you feel like he's got your project covered.  Myself, I do not give my business to those who lie, forget, change times, or flat out disrespect.

My suggestion to those needing an electrician in my area, find a more reputable one.  Leave the kids out of your home projects.
