Joe Vela Electric is the GO TO electrical company in the Frío County area.

I decided to do some do it yourself and find myself popping some breakers and such.

I wanted electricity run out from my electric box  to a shed on the other side of my property. I got several bids; the Cross Texas's bid landed right in the middle. I chose Cross Texas because Ronnie, the owner, seemed knowledgeable and honest and his price was very reasonable especially considering that the guys who came in a bit lower didn't strike me as professionals. Well, I am very pleased with my choice. Cross Texas got the job done fast and professionally. Ronnie took care to involve me in the process to make sure he completed the job as I wanted it. There were no surprises and communication before and during the job was excellent. I would recommend Cross Texas Electric without any reservations.

To have Eric, the owner of the business, visit us today was great. He fixed my bathroom light fixture. He even put in his own LED lights and explained to us how to save money on them. I liked how he spent time with us explaining what he did and took the time talking to us. I will definitely call on him again! It's nice to see someone take the time to talk to his customers the way Eric did! Good job Eric!

Chadwick was very responsive to my call.  He worked within my schedule and came out after 6pm and stayed to around 9pm.  I do not have a lot of experience with contractors but working these hours seem to be quite rare.  He worked quickly and did what I asked.  I was disappointed that I did not have all the required material so he couldn't do everything that I wanted but this was not his fault.

Overall, a very pleasant experience.  He is very highly recommended.

I recently experienced a significant power issue and contacted Steven at SFX to see if they could come to my residence that morning.  He was already engaged and could not respond, BUT he proceeded to stay on the phone and assist me in trouble-shooting the problem.  He talked me through numerous steps as we investigated the problem.  Ultimately, I had to contact another electrician who was available to respond, but the attention and concern for my family's welfare, as well as the amount of time he spent with me, went beyond simple politeness.  So, even though SFX has not done an actual electrical job for me, I give them a high rating based on the customer service, professionalism, and concern shown by Steven, and will happily hire them if required.

Awesome experience using Georgetown Electric Company to run electrical service for our hot tub. Greg Duncan is a solid guy, who shows up on time and communicates well. His work is clean and to code. Would definitely use him again!

Larry and Logan were great. They are friendly and professional. Checked all aspects of the problem to make sure all bases were covered, gave every effort to solve it, communicated well throughout and finished up with a clean work site. Just nice people you would want to see do well. Would refer to anyone and call again if any electrical need arises.

I requested a quote for services through Yelp and Todd replied very promptly to discuss the electrical issues. We booked an appointment for the next day, which Todd arrived promptly (even early!) for. This was especially nice since the electrician we'd booked for the previous day no-showed their appointment.

Todd fixed our garbage disposal switch and switch plate (which had broken off), ensured it was in working order, and even asked if there was anything else that needed to be looked at. We had an outlet that never had power and he fixed that too! He was quick, affordable, and dependable.

We will be booking him for some bigger electrical repairs that he kindly surveyed with me at my appointment. Definitely recommend Puckett Electric!

I needed some light commercial electrical work done (mostly luminaire and ballast replacements). James has been helpful and responsive with my questions regarding fixture options, Nathan has been flexible with our scheduling, billing, and invoicing, and the electricians such as Andy have been doing a great job.

Dave, the owner, came on time, after the office manager, Ali, called ahead to let me know he was on his way.  He was masked and wore booties.  I had him change out my front porch light and check a light switch that wasn't working.
Dave completed the work in under an hour, and even looked at two outside light fixtures that need to be replaced (he eyeballed the two fixtures and recommended the best options).
I've been their client for three years now, and have always been more than pleased with the work, and the charges are reasonable.
I'll be calling them again to replace the outside fixtures.

Tayler made his way out to my house during this past freeze, and redid 10 electrical outlets as well as moving over a breaker that kept flipping off my entire house.

He did great work, and I have him scheduled to come out and upgrade my entire breaker box in the next few weeks.

We contacted Mike to get an estimate for our kitchen remodel and while he was here we asked him to look at our landscape lighting that did not work.  He did and gave us a quote to replace and upgrade our lighting.  They look fantastic.  He was very helpful during the consultation and his price was great.  He was prompt and even finished early which was reflected in the final bill.  I will absolutely use them again as they will be doing the electrical work for our kitchen remodel later this month.  Mike provided that personal and professional service that is sadly not found as much these days.

Adding to my previous review. I had Hang Pros back to assemble/install an electric fireplace as well as instal a surround sound system. Again, they were able to get me in quickly, and overall just did a great job. I will continue to have them back!

They installed all my fans in my first house for a great price! They were very knowledgeable and informative and gave plenty of tips and energy saving ideas to help the cps bill! Be sure to give them a call for any electrical and remodeling needs!

I placed a query on HomeAdvisor for an electrician to take take care of some lighting I would need installed on the exterior of my home.  One of the companies that called me was Electrician For Hire.  John was the guy's name.  He called me at 8 on a Saturday evening and we talked about the project that I needed done.  10-15 minutes later, John said he would have a guy out to the house the latest they can on Friday at 4pm in order to take a look and come up with a quote.  He said they stop work at 4:30.  No problem.

Fast forward to Friday.  At 4:10pm no one had shown up so I called John to ask about his technician.  He said they weren't supposed to be there until 5pm tonight.  He said it was in his notes.  However, in the Saturday discussion he told me his guys don't work past 4:30 and he asked me if his guy could be at the house at 4.  I was good with 4 because I was leaving town at 5.  I let it go for the moment as he said he would get someone out to the house now.  His technician calls and says he'll be happy to come out tomorrow (Saturday) in order to look over the project and deliver a quote.  I explained to the technician that this was outside the terms of agreement from John.  I told the technician to disregard and that I would contact John to cancel.

I sent a text message to John stating that I was disenchanted with the fact that his technician didn't even know about it until moments earlier, which means I was forgotten about, anyway.  I let him know that I will be looking for a new and more reliable electrician to handle my project.  John's response:  You Go Girl.  When I called to accost him of the disrespect, he stated, Look, I am making light of the situation.  Don't be weird about it.

Can John do the work? I don't know.  He can talk the talk, though, and make you feel like he's got your project covered.  Myself, I do not give my business to those who lie, forget, change times, or flat out disrespect.

My suggestion to those needing an electrician in my area, find a more reputable one.  Leave the kids out of your home projects.
