Mike contacted me after my post on Nextdoor where I was describing that I was struggling with water damage in my home, and offered his expertise. I was extremely impressed with the service I received.
Mike arrived on time, and was very polite and professional. He quickly diagnosed the issues that I had. Not only did he do a fantastic job, but he also offered some helpful advice on how to prevent future problems. He also was able to get a licensed roofer out, who confirmed his suspicions! They worked on this issue together and knew exactly what the problem was.
The quality of his work was top-notch, and he even made sure to take garbage bags full of moldy, soaking wet insulation and drywall out. I was thoroughly impressed by the level of expertise and professionalism that he displayed.
Mike also gave me advice on how to deal with my HOA that refuses to take responsibility for the damage done to my home due to maintenance negligence. He made me feel that I'm not alone in it.
I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of home repair services. He is reliable, skilled, and more importantly, he showed genuine interest in helping me solve the problem rather than trying to sell services. The world needs more Mikes!

I had Stiffler's (specifically, Anthony) come out to give an estimate on a bathroom remodel, to fix a washing machine connection, and to cap off/cut a line to a refrigerator. Each time he was responsive, showed up when promised, did quick but thorough work on the two repair projects, and explained my options before beginning. All that, and a reasonable price. I'm so glad that I found this business!!

HVAC? What's that? Oh, this homeowner journey is an interesting one. I can truly say I've only thought about HVAC services once before in life. In the expensive slum (again, review forthcoming) I lived in in Miami Beach (rent higher than my mortgage), I suffered for days without A/C. After fighting with my landlord and establishing that I 'wasn't making it up,' (yes, I'm serious; gah, that place is vile) the HVAC repairman (on his fourth visit to my home, after previously 'not finding' a problem) discovered that the internal temperature of my apartment was 83 degrees. He fixed it and changed my thermometer from the 1970s slide variant to a digital one. That day, I learned the lesson of the importance of a good, nay, a great HVAC guy.
Enter Jeremiah -- a great HVAC guy (who also knows a li'l sumthin' about plumbing).
Buying a home has many tricks and turns for the uninitiated. As pretty as the windows and high ceilings are, spend some time considering the gutters and HVAC. Jeremiah is as honest as the day is long and takes extreme pride in his work. When my initial home inspection discovered a problem, Jeremiah swooped in to action. He discovered that a sub he had working for him hadn't done something he was supposed to. Rather than making excuses, he apologized, went to work, fixed the issue, checked, and double-checked that everything was alright.
He didn't stop there.
He came by my house at two other times to do spot checks and ensure that his handiwork was perfect. Not good, perfect. He gave me his card and personal number and told me to contact him if ever I have a problem. He went over my systems, displays, thermometers, and a host of other heating/cooling issues I'd never considered but, as a new homeowner, needed to know something about. Coils, pumps, large machines, and what not can be extremely intimidating. But in a climate with muggy heat and chilly temps, you need to make sure that you have a system that works, works well, is dependable, and installed correctly (with 3 failsafes to ensure you won't get flooded). Knowing that Jeremiah is on my team, I feel confident and secure that my HVAC needs have been and will be met. I know I'll never suffer a week of sweltering internal temps again. Looking for a HVAC guy? Jeremiah's your man.

Dishonest. They sent out people to smell our water from our brand new water heater, they agreed it smelled bad and would put in an order - when I called to follow up I was told the workers said there was *not* a smell and they would not be following up. . The guy who called me was dismissive and blew me off. Someone was not being honest and the quality of the water coming out of the heater is unacceptable.

I love working with MJ Frick. They are always up front with their pricing and availability. They've been on time and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend them.

I had a problem (not an emergency) with my toilet. I called at 5:30p and they promised they would be out the next day. They were out, found out what the problem was, needed to get a specific part: Monday, mid morning Jack Ward Plumbing was there
The price I paid was over $100 less than one of those TV plumbers charged me 6 months earlier for the exact same issue on a different toilet I like the communication and s

My two experiences with this company were both negative.
First was when they first started their business. Got an estimate for some work, and some things got left off the estimate so I called them about it. Mr. Baker's wife/receptionist took the call and said Mr. Baker would call me back. He didn't. I called again, was promised a call back by a certain day. A week later, still no call. Both times Mrs. Baker's main goal seemed to be to get me to look at their website to see all their wonderful work, rather than to address my own concern with my own house. I called again and got voice mail. Left a message. Still no return call. I gave up on trying to get a return call, and hired someone else who did return calls.
Fast forward a few years to today. I had a house fire and need some rebuilding done. I decided to give Baker a second chance, giving them the benefit of a doubt because they were so new last time. I called yesterday and Mrs. Baker set up an appointment for Mr. Baker to come out and look at the house. I asked her if the estimate was free. She said it was.
Today Mrs. Baker called back and said that because insurance is involved, Mr. Baker won't give a free estimate unless I have already chosen him to do the work. He wants to charge me $250 just to look at the house. Regardless of whether insurance is involved or not, who in their right mind would agree to hire a contractor BEFORE the contractor has even looked at the house and gives you his opinion on what needs to be done and how much it will cost?
I'm getting several estimates before I decide who to hire. This is the responsible way to hire a contractor. NO other contractor has charged me for an estimate or required that I choose them before they'll give me a free estimate, and those others are reputable companies with A+ BBB ratings, and they are aware that insurance will be involved. What Mr. Baker is doing sounds totally shady to me. Needless to say, Baker's Home Improvement is out of the running for this job!

I would definitely not go with these guys. They only give 30 days warranty and are very unfriendly if you have any issues. I called in to get some help and the guy was cold and did not help at all or offer any other solutions. This was after I paid 300$ just six months ago to repair some toilets that are currently leaking again. Definitely do not recommend

Save your time and money!! Called these guys to fix my restaurant AC and they spent 3 days attempting to fix the problem. Meanwhile I am losing customers to a hot restaurant. Had to call another company who were smart enough to fix the problem in 3 hours. Dillingham and Smith proceeded to charge me $4000 dollars to not fix the problem and Eric Gibbens only charged me $500 to actually fix the problem. I now use Eric for my AC needs and recommend you do the same. His number is 615-394-0320.

Rodrigo was certainly friendly and arrived on time. However, he wanted to charge $120.00 to do a simple, 20 minute door handle replacement. We told him we appreciated the estimate, but preferred to try to do the work ourselves or get another estimate that was less money.
We discovered the next day when we went to work on the door that the instructions that were inside the box that he had been reading were missing.
It is unconscionable to make off with our instructions just because we did not want the service at the estimated price. We do not recommend this person.
