I sent out a Yelp quote request to Jeffery this morning, and he got back right away. We were able to schedule an appointment the day of, and he showed up in a timely manner. Jeffery and Jaime did great work repairing our kitchen recess lighting switch problem. They figured out what the problem was and it took less than 30 minutes! And now we have working recess lights and switches. I highly recommend this business!

I can't recommend Eric and his team highly enough.
I spent weeks, months trying to find a shop that could handle 1) AC panel upgrade, 2) 5-6 different 120V and 240V wiring (for us to convert from gas to electric for water heater, furnace, range, dryer), 3) manage the water heater install, 4) pull all electrical, plumbing, and building permits, 5) complete the scope on time and on budget to meet permit, tax credit, and state incentive requirements.
Eric and his team were professional and responsive; on budget and thorough; checked in often on feedback and design decisions; knew every inch of existing code and upcoming code changes; and are incredibly knowledgeable about all of these different appliances and buildings, the best cost/value/environmental benefit of each.
No other shop could have put eyes on everything we were trying to do on this whole home electrification project in a complex SF permitting environment and done such a great job in managing the project and me as a client.

What a great experience. The technician, Denis, came on time and was so courteous and knowledgable. He put shoe protectors on each time he entered our house from the garage (which was about ten times) without me even asking. I appreciated that extra level of considerate service. It only took about 30 minutes to diagnose and replace an outlet that had burned out. Will absolutely use them anytime I need electrical work.

Our technician Matt is very knowledgeable and advised us well with our installation of a tesla wall charger. Very nice guy who kept us informed of his arrival and how long it would take to complete the installation. He patiently answered all our questions. Later that night we found that after installation after Gas supply was not working so heat was off. The first thought I had in mind was to contact Matt since our Gas valve and electric meter & panel are in same area. He even guided me through what may have happened (earthquake shut off) and sent me a video to restore it. What a nice guy!

We were delighted with our interactions and prompt service with Franklin Electric. Dave replied quickly to our initial message with a polite and direct response, including a very reasonable quote and some choices around a timeframe. We arranged an appointment for the next morning. Dave arrived right on time, was friendly and super-efficient as he took a look at our dodgy old power outlet, replaced the old with the new (with two options in terms of the replacement.) We're just so relieved that our main power outlet is now in good working order--no more strange sizzling sounds and loose plugs hanging halfway out of the wall--and for it to have been a stress-free experience with Franklin Electric. Highly recommend!

Their trucks on the road speed, drive recklessly, and are inconsiderate to the community. Their employees are indifferent and mock drivers. It's documented on YouTube. Send your business elsewhere.

It's probably unfair for me to write this review because I didn't actually have any work done by Rod...but it was because he didn't show up for the appointment we had to spec the job. That's one of my big pet peeves about contractors and I figure sharing experiences is what Yelp is all about.
He seemed like a nice person on the phone and, based on the other reviews here, seems to do good work. But, I can't speak from first hand experience, unfortunately.

Micheal installed an outdoor lighting fixture in my home. I also purchased 2 lovely table lamps at the store. There is a nice selection of high quality lamps, fixtures and shades-one of a kind finds. I highly recommend his expertise and customer service. Forget the chain stores. It's great to have A Light for You in our West Portal neighborhood.

I could not be more impressed or grateful for the fast and efficient service that Amp Electric provided me. I needed my Challenger and Westinghouse circuit breakers replaced in both my electrical main panel and subpanel as soon as possible and requested for quotes from electricians via Yelp.
Jaime visited our home on a Saturday and immediately gave us a quote the next day while the other electricians just took their sweet time. He was super friendly and personable that my husband actually talked me into hiring him as I initially planned to wait for the other quotes. My husband also liked that Jaime could get the work done in a few days. And businesses thought only the price matters to customers! I eventually received the other quotes and they were indeed cheaper but not too far off from Jaime's estimate.
We hired him on a Monday and he got the work done on a Wednesday! He did not give us any headaches and stress nor did he waste our time by actually showing up! I've heard one too many horror stories of people waiting forever only to get cancelled on. I'm super happy that we gave him the job!

Wow. Adam was able to suggest something in a first phone call that led to my buying a $2 part at Ace, which fixed the problem.
We got home from vacation to find the fluorescent fixture in the garage had failed. New tubes didn't do the trick and I'd removed the ballast to replace it when my wife and I decided to swap in a new LED fixture - except when it arrived it didn't work. Should have done so earlier but finally measured voltages and found that the wires where the old fixture had been measured all of 9 V AC. Wtf. Backed up to a junction box then eventually the wall switch and got voltages that still made no sense to me.
It was Adam who suggested I temporarily bypass the wall switch and in fact the wall switch turned out to be the problem.
Between that and all the positive reviews here will definitely keep Kirby in mind when it's something bigger than what I wrestled with this time.

I called around different companies for quotes and estimates on our wonky A/C central air, and settled on Service Champions. Their Yelp rating and reasonable $69 full-diagnostic check made me decide on them (other companies had gas fees just to come out, what??).
1. 7/12: Customer service department was WONderful. The two ladies I talked to (Priscilla & I forgot the scheduler lady's name) were very nice, patient, and answered all my questions. I got a next-day appointment for the diagnostic.
2. 7/13: Mark and Justin D came out in the very beginning of the time-window (12-3, they arrived 12-12:30). They were very knowledgeable, friendly, just good people. They worked with us to figure out what we were able to and willing to do to have our unit fixed. Service Champions had a nice array of options with their pro's and cons; neither my fiance or I felt pressured to make a decision any which-way. Several band-aid options, and many options for new units, or even to not do anything.
3. We decided to replace our unit, both the heater and A/C... which turned out to be 30 years old, leaking and using out-dated freon.
4. 7/14: Frank and Nam came out with our new pad, A/C unit, heater, and installed it. They were both very nice, happy to answer any questions throughout the day, and even vacuumed before leaving!
5. All four of the guys who came out were great, and allowed us to let our beagle out of his kennel to say hello and jump on them.

I reached out to Mario on a Saturday afternoon and he responded right away. He tried squeezing me in on Sunday but ended coming on Tuesday. He came and reconnected the 220v wire that an hvac guy cut years ago. Mario was thorough, even showing me the voltage on the plug and helping me to move the dryer and plug it in to see that it was now working. He was done within the hour and the cost was reasonable. Will definitely call him for our next electrician job.

I have a multi-unit Bldg which experienced an electrical issue with several units and flickering lights. It was an emergency weekend situation and called several Electrical Companies and the one that was available came out and fixed the problem as they stated temporarily fixed' and that I would need about $16K in upgrade work in order for this not to happen again. it was an urgent situation. I was nervous but decided to get another estimate and called Kevin at Bay Electric. He explained the electrical situation I had experienced completely, why it probably would not happen again ( no further issues week 3 ) and that in his opinion, there was no need to do any further upgrade work unless I experienced the same issue over again, virtually saving me the $16K in expense and relieving my fears and worry.
An electrician like Kevin who owns Bay Electric and builds his business on integrity and honesty with clients is a rock star in my book and will be my go-to electrician from this point on. HE SAVED ME THOUSANDS !!

The communication prior to the appointment was excellent and very professional. When Tony and Mark came to assess our electrical issues, they were very clear and gave their recommendation. They did the work quickly and efficiently and even gave us advice on some other electrical issues. I would HIGHLY recommend them and will definitely use them in the future

I literally created this account for this review. We got home and discovered a bunch of our outlets weren't working, including the one for the fridge. Called Robert at 8pm on a Friday night, he talked us through the problem over the phone and charged us nothing. Excellent customer service. We will definitely be using him in the future.

This company is an absolute joke. While Reggie who seems to handle scheduling, is a nice person, they clearly don't have their act together whatsoever. I first contacted them in November to schedule an estimate to add some outlets to my home. I was promised a call back that week with available times and never heard back. I tried them the following week, was again promised a call back with times and nothing. I let it pass, I was busy, the holidays came and then finally I just really wanted these outlets dealt with. So, I called back, they took two people to find my initial request from nearly two months prior and had to call me back twice to figure things out. Once they found my initial paperwork, I was then told they'd call in a couple days to finally schedule something. 2 days turned into 4 (I called in this period to follow up and was again told they'd get back to me with an appointment time in a day or two) and they finally called and after months of trying, we actually made an appointment. Brilliant!
Today was finally the day of the appointment. I worked from home and planned my calls and meetings around them in order to meet the manager/owner at my home between 10-12 this afternoon. 11:45 came and no word so I called and once again, Reggie was nice but had no idea who I was. Had to call me back after finding the work order and explained that it was actually his boss who was due to come to my home but he hadn't even come into the office yet. Reggie explained that once he does, they'll give me a call. This means clearly he'd be much outside the scheduled window we had.
Reggie calls me back to give another update and says that unfortunately they have to fully reschedule for another day. Unacceptable. I asked to speak to his boss, was put on hold forever and finally got a call back saying they'd be here between 2-3 today. In that time frame I called my landlord and asked that she PLEASE engage another electrician as this company is clearly a MESS. We are doing just that.
Such a waste of time.
