Excellent work and service!! We needed a plumber fast! Mandel, the owner, responded immediately and was very professional. He worked with me to get the work done as soon as possible and he thoroughly explained the process of the repair. Mandel and the guys really took care of us. We had a leak coming from our upstairs bathroom, that another plumber had misdiagnosed as being a shower door issue. Fast forward a week, it ain't the shower door because water is pooling on my floors!

Ron came out super quick, he was able to figure out the problem without opening my walls (bless up Ron!) - spoiler, it was a simple thing with our tub., He brought the equipment to dry things out quickly and without any issues.

No problems since!

I called Rapid Action Rooter on Tuesday in regards to our bathtub not draining and knowing it was the stopper in the back that needed professional services. The initial response time was great in regards to sending photographic evidence. I received a call shortly after explaining the issue and he was spot on actually. He told me he will see when one of his guys are available to come out and I let him know, we'll see what the issue is once they come out. 2 days later and never received a call back or any correspondence. I wanted so badly to support black. The pricing for the small job was very reasonable. I actually got another company to come out pretty quickly and the big job that Rapid Action called correctly over the phone was quoted a few hundred cheaper. Maybe in the future for smaller jobs we'll try again. The reviews brought me here. Thanks tho!

Update:
I feel a bit uneasy about this company having my address now. After noticing my review on yelp, I received a call from them which I ignored. I then check my phone and there is a text message stating my guys will be out after  3:30pm today. I responded, no thank you. It is already being fixed. Which I had told him earlier today after writing my initial review. He called after I texted saying, I never received correspondence and he said I never sent my address which I stated I did, and he confirmed the day he asked for pics when he quoted me over the phone.

I had my husband call because after I sent I didn't need him to come out, I wanted to make sure this man didn't show up at my house. He didn't answer the first try but called right back. He claimed it was a mistake, he meant to call and text a different client but then proceeded to have a 2 minute conversation with my husband about how my review can negatively impact his black business. And he just wanted to make up for the miscommunication. That's very weird to me. I wrote a respectable review and the 3 stars was MY experience. This was a matter that I consider urgent and felt ignored. This is MY experience. After reading non five star reviews, someone had the same experience.

These guys are skilled, fast, and friendly. I called Mandel at 1pm after a pipe sprung a leak in my crawl space. Within an hour, Mandel and Kevin had already arrived, examined the leak, and provided an estimate. An hour after that they had completed the repair and packed up their truck. What a huge relief!

Mandel and his team worked through the night to get the job done toilet was backed up bad, Mandel checked out the main pipe outside of the house with a camera that showed the problem and there it was roots in the pipe it was so bad the pipe was collapsing I looked and seen everything with my own eyes so. So they replaced the old pipe with a new one in efficient time cleaned up everything when they was done like no one was even there , Mandel communicated with me the whole time letting me know what was going on while the work was being done great customer service and employees are great will definitely use Rapid Action Plumbing again and I will refer them to friends and family I appreciate it.

The toilet at our shop backed up right in the middle of a class with another class coming in shortly.I called Mandel and he was able to come out quickly and get us back in business. He made a few suggestions to keep us from having the problem in the future. Great guy. QUICK service. Reasonable prices.  Will definitely call him in the future.

My renter discovered a pin hole leak under the kitchen sink. The floor was wet underneath. I contacted Rapid Action Rooter, I explained my situation and they provided me with an reasonable estimate. They responded in about an hour, very professional and in less than 30 minutes my problem was taken care of!!

Very positive experience working with Mandel and his crew for a toilet installation project. I purchased two toilets from Lowes and originally had ordered installation services with them. But after two trips out from their third party plumbers, I still had no toilets installed and they said I needed to replace the flange which would cost $2000. I called up Mandel instead and he arranged to have his guys come out to take care of it. They finished the job within an hour, and I am now happy to have two brand new fully functional toilets.

Our main sewer line was clogged due to a city-planted tree's roots entering the pipe, causing every drain in our home to stop working. This happened late at night, so I started calling plumbers and reached Mandel at Rapid Action Rooter. Mandel sent out a crew right away and they quickly hydro-jetted our sewer line. His crew were professional and efficient, and so we then hired them to re-line our sewer line.

The crew arrived on time and consistently communicated the process with me, showing me the roots that were present in the pipe and how they went about relining the pipe. Again, everyone on the team was courteous and communicative--I could ask questions and get answers without feeling like I was imposing on their work.

Their professionalism and efficiency was top-notch. I will definitely call Mandel and his company whenever we need a plumber!

We had a drainage issue on a Saturday night at a home we were visiting in North Torrance. All drains were clogged indicating a problem in the main line.  Sunday morning I got on Yelp and requested for quotes and several replied right away. Mandel texted me to call and we were able to arrange Anthony to come over within 1.5 hours.

Anthony took his time to check all the symptoms and situation and explained clearly what we needed to do and that it was a temporary solution. It all made sense since we've had to have rooter service a couple of times in the past few years. He got it all cleared quickly.

We decided to have a 2-way cleanout installed so we're getting that scheduled soon. We know who to call when we're in the area!!

Madel and his team were great. Called them out for a toilet overflow and as he is under the house checking pipes, we find that not only are my pipes rotted, they aren't connected properly in some areas and two had holes in them. I had been leaking water under my house for GOD knows how long.  This could have been a very dangerous situation with the water rotting the foundation of my home.

Mandel and his team came out and re-piped my house in one day. These guys were on it working from the time the arrived till they were done. Non stop. Everything was professional. They even hauled away all the biohazard material that came through the holes in my pipes.

I know how people feel about plumbers, electricians etc..... but this team not only got the job done, the did it professionally, cleaned the entire area after, and showed me step by step all my issues and what they did to fix them.

Don't waste your time, call Mandel for your plumbing needs and get it done once and get it done the right way.

This is my second very good experience with Rapid Action Rooter. Mandel and his team are first rate. Both times I've used them they have sent somebody out the same day, both times on weekends. Today, we needed help with a clogged bathtub drain. Kelly came out and made quick work of clearing the line. And he's a very pleasant guy as well.

Mr. Mandale Bishop, owner of Rapid Action Rooter is the person you want on your job!  Mr. Bishop helped me when I really needed it and did so quickly and professionally!  He was absolutely brilliant from start to finish!  
My Airbnb had a broken shower valve and as I had more guests coming, it was imperative that it be fixed right away. I put a call in to Mandale and he answered immediately and said he would take care of it for me.
And he did!  He got that work done the very next day so I wouldn't have to interrupt my Airbnb business.  
I could not have asked for a better outcome!  Not only that, Mandale has a fantastic network of professionals that work with him so the job is guaranteed to go smoothly!

On 7-11-22, I had a problem with a sink inside a rental unit I have. I've used Other Home Warranty Companies But most were ( SubPar) and never came on time, nor did they complete the work as instructed.
So I looked and tried (Rapid Action Rooter) a local Rooter Company. Like 123 I received a call back, then I sent a pic of the sink problem. Within a short period of time a trained plumber responded to the unit and checked the sink. The owner told me how I could save money, and instructed me on what I needed.

My gabage disposal was leaking and could spill the dirt on the floor making the house to be very filthy. Had a few plumbing companies come by for estimates and I found Rapid Action Rooters to be the cheapest among all that I reached out for, and they had all the tools and parts to do the job with them. The rest of the places I called required scheduling a new appointment except Rapid Action Rooters. The team showed up promptly and in about 40 minutes the work was complete. Definitely recommend.

I had a clogged drain in the kitchen and slow draining in a bathroom. I attempted to clear it out myself but no luck. So glad I contacted Mandel the very next morning in the wee hours! He was very responsive and quick to arrange service even though his guys were already out doing jobs that day. He squeezed me in the schedule and Ron did the repairs. He was helpful and explained what the issues were---way beyond my abilities/ youtubing attempts to repair it myself. Mandel followed up with me that same evening. My repairs are almost complete (they have to come back with a part) and from what Ive experienced so far they are reliable, thorough, and very responsive.

Mandel and his team are phenomenal!! We went through 2 other plumbers before I found them and wish I had them from the start. I called late on a weekend and Mandel immediately answered the phone.  Within 2 minutes of discussing the issue he new exactly what caused it when others said something different and they had seen it in person. They were at our home first thing the following day. He made sure we were educated every step of the way and understood the work being done. They were prompt, communicative and went above and beyond. Don't bother calling anyone else because he and his team know what they're doing!

I cannot say enough great things about the father-and-son team of Charlie and Jared! These two are professional, thorough, and really know what they are doing. Another plus is that our pooch loved them :). I would not hesitate to use them again in fact, they are our new go-to for all plumbing needs. About five days before I called Rapid Action Rooter, I could hear a faint sound of water running under my house, whenever I used either the kitchen or bathroom sink. I went outside and looked into the access under the house, and I saw a build up of water under my house. I immediately started searching yelp for a plumber. After hours of searching through yelp ads, I read some of the reviews for Rapid Action Rooter, and gave them a call. The owner Mr. Mandel Bishop answered the phone, and made an appointment to check out the problem within the hour. After carefully inspecting the problem. Mandel recommended what work needed to be done to correct the problem. Mandel kept me aware of everything that was being done by his excellent team of plumbers. The sewer drains under my house were very old, and leaking in multiple places. Mandel and his team replaced all of the old broken and leaking drain pipes, with a new, up to date, drainage system. Mandel and his team worked tirelessly to complete the job in one day of work. When Mandel and his team completed the job, everything was cleaned up and my driveway looked no work had been done.
Mr. Mandel Bishop and his excellent team of plumbers did an outstanding job repairing my plumbing problems. I highly recommend Rapid Action Rooter, to anyone needing plumbing repair!

Our garbage disposal was leaking and probably long overdue for a replacement. We found Rapid Action Rooter via Yelp and inquired about pricing. I head back within minutes and someone came out the next day to help me replace the disposal. These guys are very responsive and reliable. Wow. I couldn't thank them enough. Mandel and Kelly are dedicated to taking care of their customers and going above and beyond.

I bought the wrong kitchen faucet and Kelly returned it to Lowe's for me and didn't charge me extra. I didn't expect him to do that all because the faucet costs less than his time. I figured I would donate it. But Mandel insisted I shouldn't lose money.

Mandel arranged for another technician to do water damage repair at my house after Kelly discovered my supply lines were leaking. One of my property managers was there the day with his worker. They saw the leak and water damage under the sink and ignored it.

Being a long-distance landlord is very stressful. Mandel comforted me in telling me I could put all of my stress on him and let him take care of all of my plumbing problems.

Kelly picked up a different kitchen faucet at Home Depot the next day and installed it. My buying the wrong faucet cost him three trips to the stores and two to my house. They didn't charge me any extra.

My garbage disposal needed to be repaired and I called Rapid Action Rooter. I spoke to Mandel and he gave me a quote and had a technician out the very next morning. My technician Kelly was absolutely wonderful and installed my new disposal perfectly. Mandel called me right after the installation was completed to ensure everything went well. I requested a quote from this company for a clogged bathroom sink. Immediately got back to me and told me to call. I gave them a call and they sent out two guys to our place. Initially, we thought it would just be a snake job to clear out the pipe. Ronald and Tony did what they could but due to a faulty pipe combined with the extremity of how clogged it was, they were unable to complete the job.

Ronald and Tony offered to completely refund us even though they worked on the sink for over 30 minutes. Very trustworthy guys and company. I will definitely

It's understandable why this business has excellent reviews!  100% satisfied! With a 30-day warranty! Mandel arrived early and immediately understood the problem and got to work on a repair. But my five stars are not because of his communication, great service or price, but as a business owner and human being I get the sense he's a good man, doing good work. It's such a rarity these days to find great character and good old-fashion service.  I was immediately at ease with his no non-nonsense approach and sensibility not only about my plumbing issue, but about an insightful conversation about perspective on Life. I had a clog in my main sewer line as a result of root growth in the original clay piping from the mid 1950's. I contacted Mandel who has been my plumber for past 3 years. As usual Mandel promptly responded and sent one of his plumbers out to diagnose the problem. After discovering the problem, Mandel sent his crew out and replaced my main sewer line from the county sewer connection all the way under my house connecting to all of the drain pipes, and added an easy access clean out on my front walkway. Also, Mandel's crew replaced all of the old original cast iron drainpipes underneath my house. Mandel and his crew are friendly, courteous, professional, and clean. Mandel kept me informed throughout the entire process of the project, and his guys even had me watch a monitor as they ran a camera through newly re-lined section of the main sewer line. I highly recommend Mandel and his crew to handle any of your plumbing problems.

Found Rapid Action on Yelp. Saw the response time on Yelp was 10mins & the owner Mandel called in less than 10. Mandel is very friendly & professional. Long story short, I needed help with my old refridgerator's waterline (which was copper) and connected my new fridge with a stainless steel waterline, and Mandel was able to send someone within 60-90 minutes.  Kelly, the plumber & I spoked & videochat to see exactly I needed. On a Friday evening our garbage disposer stopped working and the kitchen sink wasn't draining. In the wee hour of Thanksgiving  morning the the toilet started to leak and we were in a panic! After calling multiple plumbing services and either getting no answer, or an outsourced answering service we landed on a Yelp 5 star rated company, Rapid Action Rooter!  The proprietor, Mandel answered our call and I must say, to get him on the phone was a comforting feeling.

While Mandel's crew was already in the field servicing others that came before our call, he assured us that help was on the way! True to his word Mandel's crew arrived promptly at 8:00am. Dwayne and Ronald were professional, efficient and most importantly resolved the immediate issue of having a working toilet, in time for the holiday!

We are extremely happy, and excited to find such an outstanding, and honest plumbing company.  We had a leak running from our upstairs bathroom into our downstairs family room.  We found Rapid Action Rooter online with 5 stars, and a host of happy customers, and I can see why.  We are now part of those extremely happy, and satisfied customers.

Mr. Mandel will calm your nerves; he is thorough, communicative, honest, and very knowledgeable about plumbing.  His team is incredible; Ron came out; had to do some demolition to get to the pipes behind the walls, found the leak, and Kelly repaired the leak.  The best part of all of this is not just fixing the pipe, but their professionalism, and how clean they left the bathroom, and downstairs.  These guys are AMAZING!  We have found our plumbers for life.   Thank you, Mandel, Ron, & Kelly!!

Mandel and team are awesome. I called in the morning requesting a quote for a sewage back flow issue and they responded quickly. Mandel ran a snake on our main sewage line and let us know that our problem was more involved and that we had roots that had broken our main sewage pipe. Mandel explained the issue and promptly provided  a quote for the repair. They repaired our sewage line in one day as promised and with no mess. I highly recommend Rapid Action Rooter for your plumbing issues.

I called Mandel to snake a drain that was leaking sewage into the yard after another company said they couldn't come out for another 4 days, with the rain coming. Mandel came out that day, & it turns out I needed a new sewer pipe. The old one was broken, was offset from the street sewer line, with a lot of roots inside. I about cried when I found out the cost, however, his guys came out the next morning, dug up the old pipe & replaced it with a new one with a liner to keep out any roots & compacted everything down as they were replacing the dirt. He showed me what his guys were doing every step of the way, the whole process. They were fast and professional. They cleaned everything up. Mandel was as nice as can be , and he guarantees his work. When I'm ready to get the house repiped, he 's definitely getting my business.

I can't speak enough for Mandel's character. I called him for a routine issue with my dishwasher and he offered to help me over the phone for free. We fixed the issue without him ever coming out.

Called on a Sunday afternoon after no other plumber was available.  Courteous and kind, but asked about issues first.

He walked me through a simple fix saving me $150.  They don't make people like this guy anymore.  Honest, kind and genuinely wanted to help.

We will definitely be calling him for any future jobs.

Had a clogged sink. Based upon their Yelp ratings I called RAR up and they were able to get a plumber out to my house in a just a few hours. Ron did a great job! He was polite, timely, and cleaned everything up when he was finished.

I will definitely put these guys no my short list of plumbers to call.

They did come quick ( with in 2 hours) for a main drain root problem they charged $150.  Other company quoted me cheaper but they flaked. So I guess I can't complain.

I had a clogged main sewer. Mandel can out the same morning I called. They cleared the sewer and sent a camera down the pipe to see what the issue was. They found roots growing through the old clay pipe and a back pitched section of new pipe that the pervious homeowner installed. He took the time to send the camera down with me so I could see exactly what was going on. Our sewer runs under about 80' of a concrete driveway, so I was getting nervous of what fixing the problem would entail. They were able to open a small section of the concrete to do the repairs. From that section they were able to fix the back pitched section of pipe, removed the roots, and re-line the old clay sewer. I won't have to worry about my sewer again! The broke up the concrete, removed it, and patched it back. You can hardly tell that they were there.
Mandel and his team were awesome! They were extremely courteous and willing to answer any questions along the way.
I would recommend Mandel to my family and friends for any plumbing issues!

We had a clogged toilet issue...will not go into the details.  I called a number of plumbers listed on Yelp.  None responded except for Rapid Action Rooter.   I called same day and they were here in less than 2 hours.   Technician came and was polite, left no mess, and was out the door in less than 20 minutes.  Prices was a great deal considering how quick they came and the overall service.  I will keep them on speed dial for the next issue....when it happens.

I had another company quote in the mid-4 figures for a series of clogged pipes after taking a look at my kitchen. The quote was high because they said it was impossible to unclog a certain pipe in a cheap way.

I thought that sounded high, so I called Rapid Action. They had someone here on zero notice in about 90 minutes on a Friday afternoon and took care of the issue in about an hour, doing what the other company said was impossible - and for WAY cheaper.

So five stars for giving me my kitchen back, being so responsive and quick, and being very pleasant to deal with!

I found these guys through Yelp and was impressed by their reviews. I was looking for someone to use when we had issues come up at my boss's home. I have to say, I've been impressed EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. we have used them. They are always quick to answer the phone or quick to get back to you if they miss your call. I'm not someone who has a ton of knowledge on plumbing repairs. Unfortunately I've seen far too often where technicians try to take advantage of my lack of knowledge on these types of repairs and upsell me things I don't actually need. I've never felt that once with these guys. In fact, I think there are times they could've (and should've) charged us for certain things, but instead said, Oh no, there's no charge for that! We are just happy to help. Can't speak enough to this company's integrity! Call them, you won't regret it!

Side note: Ron, who has always been the plumber on our calls, is the BEST! Kind, polite, and always willing to go above and beyond to help.

Mandel is at the top of the plumbing game.  24 years in the business. Had a plumbing blockage 4 months ago and Mandel came out same day to snake the line.  Professional, quick response and new exactly what the issue was.

Igniter switch on my water heater went out two months ago and my tenant called the number on the heater.  2 star reviews and they charged $400 replaced the starter and the issue never was resolved.

Was thoroughly frustrated and called Mandel. Had a brand new water heater installed by 3pm that day for $500 less than the other company.  Excellent job.

Mandela is a nice guy, very knowledgeable super friendly, easy going and I trust him.  I've been ripped off left and right but this is the only plumber I will use.

Our toilet flooded earlier this week due to sewer leakage. Thanks to Mandel and the team was available the next day to come check it out. However, I was charged $600 with no receipt or video for snaking the camera and location. He also suggested digging up the ground and changing a portion of the pipe for $8,900. I thought it's extremely pricey comparing to industry standard so I decided to get a second opinion on it.

We ended up hiring another plumber who was able to run the camera, sent me the video and decided that nothing was major and we did not need to replace any of the pipes. I feel that they were much more professional and honest about the situation.

Obviously everyone can have different opinions on the same situation but I was able to save myself thousands of dollars by getting a second opinion.

Mandel answered my request for a quote within minutes.  Provided an estimate to snake a drain for me and set up for Ron to do the job the next day.  The estimate was very fair. Ron arrived on time finished the job quickly and the drain was working again.  Explained the issues with roots growing into the old drain and told me the options.  No up selling or pressure.  Just the facts and the drain was working for now.  It will likely slow again with roots.  Sent me a Venmo bill and everything done in less than 18 hours.  WOW!

There are lot of stellar reviews for Mandel but I didn't have a good experience with him. Our bath room sink was giving some bad odor and I suspected that it was due to some grime accumulated in the P-trap. (For some reason, the contractor used an accordion type flexible p-trap). I removed it easily, cleaned it thoroughly and when I put it back it was leaking at the joint. I tried several times but the same result. I thought I was not installing the trap properly so I called couple of plumbers and Mandel was able to come. He said it will be $150 for cleaning the drain. I said I did not need any drain cleaning and all I needed was to put the trap back. He said it was the wrong kind of trap and I will need a firm plastic trap which will require some new tube extensions etc.  I asked him how much it costs, he said it costs $500. I said it is too much and asked him if he would put the old trap back. He said it will be $95. I know it will take only a few minutes to do that but we need to use the sink, so I said go ahead. He put it back but it leaked. He said it won't work and left. Next day another plumber came and used one extension tube and a plastic p-trap and he was out in 15 minutes. He charged me $70. I don't know what to think of that $500 estimate Mandel gave me. From many of the reviews here, he was supposed to be very capable and reasonable but it is hard to explain the $500.

My toilet was stopped up in the guest bathroom and all I could think about was how would I find a reputable, plumbing professional prior to the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.  After thoroughly researching the Yelp landscape, based on honest reviews, I called Mandel at Rapid Action Rooter. Although it was late in the afternoon he offered to send a crew member after 7:00pm but I had a meeting.  He assured me that he would personally come the next morning between 10:00am - 12:00pm.  Mandel and Dewayne arrived at 10:00am,  punctuality a major plus!  Mandel thoroughly checked my main line to see if there was a blockage but luckily that was not the problem. Dewayne resolved the clog with effective snake action and my toilet was back in operating order.  I will definitely call Rapid Action Rooter again and highly recommend them - Mandel and team are responsive, deliver high quality results, readily available 24/7 and offer reasonable pricing.

We had a clogged outdoor drain that other plumbing companies either could not unclog, or wanted to charge over $1000 to hydro-jet.  I contacted Mandel and he quoted a reasonable price and sent his guys out the following morning.  They use hydro-jets to clear out the mud and roots causing the problem, and then ran a camera through the pipe at no extra charge to show me the cleared pipe.  Prompt, on-time, professional, and they got the job done.  Highly recommend!

Huge shout out to the team at Rapid Action Rooter! Yelp nailed it when it came to 5-star service. I had a cleaning cloth that got flushed down the toilet and stopped up the drainage system. I had another Plumbing company working on it for 4 hours and they couldn't fix the issue. I went to Yelp, read a few reviews, and called Mandel. I described the issue, sent photos of the job, and Mandel confidently said Luis would solve the problem. Impressively, Luis and an assistant showed up today, pulled out their tools and were in-and-out in 30 minutes, which included verifying the drain was working all the way to the street and testing a toilet and shower. I watched the whole process and was blown away with how quick Luis was able to resolve the issue. Rapid Action Rooter is now on the top of my list for Plumbing Issues!

Your professionalism, attention to detail, efficiency of completing the job in a timely manner were just a few qualities that make you all stand out! I spoke with Mandel, we came up with a game plan and two days later everything was complete. Each day he said he and his team (also amazing youngmen) would arrive at a certain time and sure enough they were there (working hard in the blazing sun) on time, ready to work. Our kitchen sink got clogged on a Friday night. We called one company first thing Saturday morning, they came out at 9am. We thought it'll be fixed in an hour since it was a simple clog. Wrong! They were here for almost 6 hours and still weren't able to fix it. We decided to call Rapid Action for a second opinion. Mandel answered right away, I explained the entire situation, he knew exactly what was going and was able to send someone out within an hour or 2. Ron worked his magic and was able to fix the clog. I called because I noticed my sewer clean-out cap was off and an absolute mess was surrounding it. Called Rapid Action Rooter on a late Saturday morning and Mandel (the owner) came out to check everything. I was anticipating a snake clean out after going through this a few times but the camera revealed much more damage. I had to replace a section of the pipe near the sidewalk. You can basically say there was a tree inside the pipe cracking it from the inside. I was on my way to major damage. Previous companies provided patchwork remedies while Mandel and his crew took care of my issue within a few hours. It was major work and they took care of everything after explaining what needed to be done and walking me through each step. Super dependable, super professional. CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THING!  We recently called Rapid Action because our toilets weren't really flushing, almost as if they were clogged. I reached out on Yelp, and Mandel called us back WITHIN MINUTES. They guys came over in about an hour (keep in mind this was maybe 7 or 8pm). They were able to identify the problem, which was the sewer line pipes leaving the house got disconnected and had tons of tree roots in them stopping flow. They unclogged it enough for the night, and the very next morning, his whole crew came to start the process of replacing the sewer pipe leaving our house going the street. The guys took excellent care of the lawn and made sure to do the work in a way that was easy to put back. I'm also a new homeowner, and the type to ask a lot of questions because I like to know about the process and what's going on, but I didn't even have to ask anything. The guys were making sure to be OVERLY communicative, and let me know exactly what they were doing at every single step of the process. The entire job was done in a single day (the whole crew stayed until 11pm that night to make sure it was completed)! I'm so used to having bad experiences with contractors or anyone working on our house, but this experience was such a breath of fresh air. They've got a customer for life!

I am a new homeowner and sadly ran into issues with my old shower handle (cold water one). You can imagine my distress since I was days away from moving in and wouldn't even be able to shower comfortably because only the hot water shower handle worked. Mandel took my call right away and gave me an estimate based on the potential issue. Same day he sent Kelly over to check on the problem. By end of day I had a solution. I did have to come back to the property the next day to get it fixed, but that was just because the plumbing store had closed since I requested a visit later in the day. If not I am positive it would've been fixed the same day. Kelly was very attentive and even though I had no idea what he was talking about (LOL) he shared with me and explained what was going on and was even showing me parts. My landlord was out of the country when my bathroom sink backed up. There was dark water with particles overflowing from the sink onto the floor and the stench was unbearable. Rapid action rooter is the best plumbing company we've ever used. We've tried several, but Rapid Action is hands down the best. Mandel was quick to assist when one of our pipes burst on a Sunday morning- he sent one of his guys to fix it within the hour, and then came back later that week to replace our water heater that was overdue for a replacement. Mandel and his team were efficient, quick, and didn't break the bank. They discovered a leak in my main water line under the driveway after I noticed that my water bill was sky high! After finding out the exact whereabouts of the leak, he and his team came out promptly a few days later to remove the concrete and install all new copper pipping under the driveway. I highly recommend Mandel for all of your plumbing needs! Last night we had a little plumbing emergency in the form of a main sewer line blockage (gross). I reached out to Mandel via yelp and he answered very quickly and we were able to schedule an appointment for early the next morning (although he was willing to come late last night, which we appreciated).

Mandel was great. Showed up on a Sunday morning after I called Saturday evening with a completely clogged bathroom sink. Patient about answering my many questions and straight forward that he isn't the basement bottom cheapest but more importantly did a great job. He snaked multiple times to make sure we weren't left with a slow drain again.

Our very old pipes meant this wasn't an easy (and cheaper) unscrew and fast fix. Have some old towels and things to catch gross water ready.

Slight confusion over estimated price and actual delivery but well within what I was seeing online. They preferred calls instead of messaging on Yelp but did get back to me super fast on messages too.

We had thunderstorms here in LA and many of the streets were flooded due to backed up street drains.  Well, my sewer main got plugged when the cleaning lady accidentally flushed a terry cloth towel.  I called Rapid Action Rooter - they were honest and told me they were really busy - helping the county unplug street sewers.  20 minutes later they texted me and told me to call someone else as they couldn't guarantee getting to it today.

Our toilet was completely backing up and leaking out of the bottom. I tried to fix it myself with a 6ft auger, but nothing seemed to work. I called Rapid Action Rooter and they tried fixing it the usual way, but snaking the line didn't work. They removed the toilet and discovered the whole area under the bathroom was flooded with sewage. Tony took a look under the house and found the pipes had been completely corroded and cracked with two large breaks in the line. Mandel advised we replace the pipes and prepared a quote immediately. He also called in a plumbing colleague to inspect moisture damage in the bathroom. That night we had dryers in the bathroom drying the walls and floor and Mandel and his team came back the next day and spent all day in the very tight crawlspace under the house digging out and replacing the pipes, which were in a terrible state (see pics). Mandel explained everything he and his team were doing every step along the way. They all have an amazing attitude and I thoroughly recommend their service!

Overdue but well-earned review for Rapid Action Rooter and Mandel, highly recommend! Mandel is professional, experienced, knowledgeable, honest and follows through with everything he promises, no BS!

Back in January, I was doing laundry and heard gurgling in one of the toilets and sewage had backed up in my shower.  Found Rapid Action Rooter on Yelp, called the number and got a quick response from Mandel.  He couldn't come the same day but came exactly at 1pm the next day as promised.  Turns out my main sewage line, the original one from the 1920's, had burst and had to be replaced.  Mandel had a crew the next morning right on time at 8:00am to replace it.  They had it done and cleaned up by 4pm the same day.  Mandel came in the morning to explain what his crew was going to do and came back afterwards to make sure everything was done well.  His crew worked hard in not the best of situations, it's the sewage line after all, and they were polite, considerate of the property and just overall good hard working guys.  

A few months and many loads of laundry later, absolutely no issues, no more gurgling and definitely no more back-ups!  Will definitely call Mandel and Rapid Action Rooter again for any plumbing issues at my house.

Not to be cliche, but if I could give Mandel and Clay 10 out of 5 stars, I would. My husband and I made the mistake of attempting to change our bathtub faucet handle ourselves, using a hacksaw and all other types of great tools that a novice should probably never bring near any type of plumbing (thanks, YouTube). Of course water started spraying everywhere, I couldn't figure out how to shut off the water, I panicked and called Mandel.

We purchased a property and sewer line inspection showed some issues. Sent the link of video inspection to Rapid Action Rooter and they said they would need to run their own video inspection in order to provide me an estimate of repair cost. The cost for video inspection is going to be $150 and would be credited to the repair if I chose to get repair done by them.

I have talked about 20 other competitors and no other company charges for inspection in order to provide an estimate for line repair. I hope the company aligns their norms with the industry.

While taking a shower before bed, I noticed that the shower wasn't draining and residue had backed out of the drain. Immediately checked all the bathrooms on the same floor and found that sewage had back flowed and there was a clog somewhere. I called Mandel at 9PM and he advised me to shut the water off and that he'd send someone out first thing the next morning since nothing was overflowing. He kept his promise and Kelly and his team came out to diagnose the issue. Kelly and his team was able to flush out the clog and tell me issues about my home's plumbing that I would never have been able to know. Everyone from Rapid Action Rooter knew their stuff and was super kind in explaining the problem. They provided recommendations based on experience and weren't out to take advantage of me. I really appreciated their professionalism and how they were willing to take care of me both in price and quality of work. I can't recommend them enough. One of the most important lessons I've learned as a homeowner is knowing when to call the professionals to handle a repair. My experience with Rapid Action Rooter fortified this lesson, and introduced us to our new forever plumber, Mandel Bishop.

We had a slow drain in the shower and tried the usual DIY methods to clear the drain to no avail. After reviewing several vendors on Yelp as we usually do before selecting one, I read and was intrigued by all of the solid and very positive reviews for Rapid Action Rooter and decided to give Mandel a call on a Sunday instead of waiting the following day, and I'm sure glad that I did.

Just as you've read in other reviews, Mandel picked up the phone right away and he gave me a brief phone consultation and a diagnosis of what he suspected based on my account might be the issue. He was at another job at the time and he gave me a reasonable estimate for when he'd be able to get to us. As it turned out, the job Mandel was at before ours ended up being a bigger issue than anticipated and I was very impressed at Mandel keeping me updated on his timeline as it shifted ever so slightly.

When Mandel arrived on site, he was very professional, very courteous, and took exceptional care to carefully assess our plumbing and the issues we were experiencing. Mandel also utilized a camera to not only diagnose the issue but to also show us what was going on underneath the house. Just as Mandel had suspected on the phone we were facing a slightly larger plumbing matter than a simple clogged shower drain.

Overdue but well-earned review for Rapid Action Rooter and Mandel, highly recommend! Mandel is professional, experienced, knowledgeable, honest and follows through with everything he promises, no BS!

Back in January, I was doing laundry and heard gurgling in one of the toilets and sewage had backed up in my shower.  Found Rapid Action Rooter on Yelp, called the number and got a quick response from Mandel.  He couldn't come the same day but came exactly at 1pm the next day as promised.  Turns out my main sewage line, the original one from the 1920's, had burst and had to be replaced.  Mandel had a crew the next morning right on time at 8:00am to replace it.  They had it done and cleaned up by 4pm the same day.  Mandel came in the morning to explain what his crew was going to do and came back afterwards to make sure everything was done well.  His crew worked hard in not the best of situations, it's the sewage line after all, and they were polite, considerate of the property and just overall good hard working guys.  

A few months and many loads of laundry later, absolutely no issues, no more gurgling and definitely no more back-ups!  Will definitely call Mandel and Rapid Action Rooter again for any plumbing issues at my house.

Not to be cliche, but if I could give Mandel and Clay 10 out of 5 stars, I would. My husband and I made the mistake of attempting to change our bathtub faucet handle ourselves, using a hacksaw and all other types of great tools that a novice should probably never bring near any type of plumbing (thanks, YouTube). Of course water started spraying everywhere, I couldn't figure out how to shut off the water, I panicked and called Mandel.

There's nothing worse than having an unexpected fully clogged sink while in the season of summer flies and young kids running around needing to be fed every hour on the hour -- add in all the pandemic extras, and you had me and my mood this morning.  

My regular plumber was not available, so I popped onto Yelp and sought out all the highest reviewed options and found Rapid Action Rooter.  Mandel replied immediately after I reached out for a quote and let me know that while he didn't have anyone at that very moment, I could check in with him later if I hadn't found anyone else and he'd be sure that he'd have someone by before the end of the day, even if it meant him himself.

Well Mandel himself came and was in full Covid gear -- a mask and gloves and an ease to making it all work.  He had my sink snakes and working in minutes, gave compliments to my little girl who kept skipping in to say hello and had enough time at the end of a very long to tell me more about his business he started at 19 years old and how meaningful the work continues to be for him.

What a respectful man to meet and to work with -- there's nothing more comforting in this very difficult time in the world to connect with the faces of the kind, hard working individuals that make it a point to show up for you -- and well past their dinnertime to boot!

Mandel and this company are phenomenal. He tried to help me over the phone before automatically trying to quote me. He cares about what he does. It's beyond just plumbing. He was taught the ways of plumbing at a young age, and he genuinely cares about his customers.

I could not fix myself so we had to get the service done, and while he fixed it, I was educated and he made sure I understood what happened and why it needed to be done. I learned more about toilets in this one day than I've learned my entire life! Like a good dentist, it's good to know where to turn to, especially for something important like plumbing. I am so thankful to have a go-to now, in a world with so many options it's hard to know who to trust!

I contacted Mandel from Rapid Action Rooter at 5:15pm where I failed to arrange any other plumbing service, some were not available till 2.5 days!

I had a broken bath valve and the faucet was shooting water like no tomorrow! It was either pay for a high water bill next month or shut down the water for the entire house.

MANDEL told me to shoot couple of pics from the valve, and he told me he had the part. So he was finishing up another job in Redondo and will be around 8pm.  

At 8pm, he arrived promptly and replaced the valve in 2 'minutes!

He was very very courteous and friendly and honest!

I will call him for  any other plumbing job from now on!

HONEST

Mandela of Rapid Action Rooter recommended Patrick Jones, a technician that works on boilers -- very different from one who works on a water heater. Mr Jones has over 40 years of experience, and is VERY VERY HONEST.

He came to service our boiler at 2:30am after he had a job in Victorville, 1.5 to 2 hours away. Previously, I had another boiler company come out and play a bait-and-switch scheme. The other guy either lied or was very inexperienced (ie 3 years vs a tenured 40 years) and said we had to replace the gas valve 1. Also, I sent him a YouTube video on resets but really you and I can do if you remove the first top 2 covers.

Mr Jones coached me to ask him if he was getting 24V in and the guy lied straight in my face and left the gas off. Then his partner Brittni, sent over the estimate after he left so of course they would be charging a lot for the rush-hour traffic.

When Mr Jones arrived, he brought a new gas valve 1 just in case to test and replace, but this was not the problem and was confirmed by another Technician.

Mr Jones was correct in his assessment that the module had to be replaced and the igniter as well. Unfortunately, he called 3 places and couldn't pick up the part. He was very transparent to tell me that Howard Industries had the part. This brand, Laars Therm 2 is a difficult supplier and I would not recommend it. We have had this boiler inspected quarterly, which did not prevent this repair. The last time we had it inspected was March 8, 2021 and 3 months later, we had to replace 2 parts, the brains called the module (approximately $370 to $395) and the igniter (approximately $70). The last time our regular boiler technician came, they charged us $277 for a 12-minute repair and $250 for an inspection. Unfortunately, Laars parts have an issue with supply as two technicians had to call 3 different places for 2 parts. That's 6x folks, a real waste of time but probably the way these boiler companies stay in business.

I will definitely work with Rapid Action Rooter again, specifically with Mr Jones, an amazing technician, who is HONEST.

Quick response from Mandel when I called late at night, very friendly and took the time to actually explain what the problem was and how they were going to fix it. Had to have main sewer line worked on. I really appreciated the attention to detail by Mandel and his crew. As soon as they diagnosed the problem, they were able to begin the job immediately with minimal disruption to us. And when they found another related issue that wasn't apparent at the start, Mandel didn't try to up-charge me for the extra work. And when they were finished, aside from the new clean out access they installed in the driveway, you'd have no idea they had done any work. The crew cleaned up the work areas to the point that they left no trace of themselves ever being there, digging up our yard and driveway! In the end, Mandel has gained a new loyal customer, I'll be calling him for all my plumbing needs in the future.

My toilet and shower backed up 3 times in one month. After losing confidence in my former plumber,  I decided to hop on Yelp in search of a plumber to fix the issue once and for all.
The first plumber that came out refused to try the snake, stating that his boss doesn't allow him to do so. However, for $1400 he could install a clean out in my yard, then he would TRY to clean out the drain and run a camera. Well, that sounds pretty ass backwards to me so I did a hard pass.

Next up... Rapid Action Rooter. I spoke with Mandel who was too busy that day but offered to come out the next day at noon. He was prompt and very polite. He tried to snake the line but ran into the same  issue as the first plumber so he attached his camera to see what was going on. We saw a hole in one of the drain pipes but the camera, like the snake, got stuck. So, Mandel goes under the house to diagnose the problem. To my dismay my drain pipes were corroded and literally falling apart. After Mandel comforted me after an epic breakdown, he informed me of what I needed and the cost of the project.
We got started replacing my drain pipes the following Friday and he and his team were done with everything Sunday morning. The only reason they didn't finish up on Saturday is because Mandel found an issue with the trap in my bathtub and came back on Sunday to fix it for me. No charge!
We passed inspection the following Tuesday.
Mandel and his crew are professional, neat, organized and qualified.
I gave this man hell in the beginning and he never strayed from being a complete professional. I also paid what I was quoted. He also took me under the house to see the completed installation and point out other things that he'd discovered while working.
I deal with contractors everyday but I must say that Mandel is my absolute favorite. He's my plumber for life!

What else can I say they were just a life saver.... family of 5, all plumbing clogged and they showed up within the hour. On top of that, the gentleman they dispatched could have not been nicer and made us feel 'ok' with the embarrassement of having all our sewer exposed. Came home late to find out I had a leak under the house.  I called Rapid Action Rooter in a panic and they were so nice and calmly walked me through the process of shutting of the main water line and bleeding out the pipes to prep for the plumber to come.  Unfortunately, they could net send someone out until later the next day as they had a lot of calls that night and were so understanding when I was able to get my normal plumber to help me in the morning and cancelled with them.

What a lifesaver! Mandel took care of a problem my mom was having. Since she's 91, I went on Yelp to find a plumber. There were many from which to choose. I have two cats. I noticed a wet spot on the arm of my living room couch. Thought maybe my cats peed on my couch. Very upset but didn't yell at them. They are too cute. Went in to investigate the wet spot with a sniff test. Bang! Got nailed on the top of my head with a drop of water! Looked up and discovered a leak in my living room ceiling! Ugh!

So, who ya gonna call when the water heater decides to go south during a pandemic and on Easter weekend, why Rapid Action Rooter of course.

all two plumbers that I normally use and both were not available so I decided to try RAR. Mandel was very responsive and gave me a fair price for removing the water heater and replacing it with one I had ordered at Ferguson Plumbing Supplies. They arrived even earlier than originally scheduled. They were very professional, practiced proper social distancing from me and wore masks which, as an engineer, I was glad to see since a lot of people still weren't wearing them at that time. RAR had everything done within three hours from call to picking up the water heater and installing the heater and verifying that it was working properly.

Yes, they weren't the lowest cost but you are paying for experienced workmanship and it showed.

They will be my 'go-to' plumber from now on.

Nobody wants to replace their sewer line. It's invisible and can cost more than a car, but when its time for a new one, it usually has to be done ASAP.

Not only did we need a new sewer line, we needed to replace the cast iron drain pipe underneath the house as well as some drain work that another plumber had done incorrectly. He came out to West Adams Sunday night, gave us a quote, and we had a new trench-less sewer line by Tuesday afternoon. He had an excellent crew and left the site cleaner than when they arrived. Mandel patiently answered all of our questions and wanted to make sure we understood the scope of the project as homeowners.

The total cost was very fair. I truly believe you'd have a difficult time finding the quality of work we received for the price that we paid.

In the past, other contractors have left me with a sour feeling once the job is done (things not going right, having to babysit a contractor, etc). That was not the case with Rapid Action Rooter. I felt like Mandel and his crew did a quality job. Parting with new sewer line money is never a good feeling, but I was comforted to know the job was done right. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat, but I know I'll never have to.

Mandel was the business!  I needed a new water heater and he came to my rescue immediately. We scheduled a certain day and he was there right on time. Excellent and fast service. Sometimes water leaks can't wait! I contacted via Yelp on a Thursday night at around 9:00PM, to get a quote. I had a dripping Angle Stop for a toilet. Sounds simple enough, but I live in a 4th floor condo and that complicates matters. Mandel had me confirmed that same Thursday night, for a next day appointment between 11:00 and 1:00. A gentleman came with an apprentice type person. They were able to figure out the pipe in the garage, to shut off the water to this specific bathroom, in about 5 minutes even though it was not labeled. This in itself was amazing!! They then replaced the angle stop. In and out in under an hour. Very polite, wore masks. When I have time I will contact again to replace more angle stops as I think they are all wearing out. Try to be proactive. This will be my team! Thank you!

Called yesterday morning for our garbage disposal! He had other clients during the day but still made time for our house! I took pics of the problem and he called me back to tell me what was wrong and by 4pm he was here and fixed the problem in 30 mins! Called these guys yesterday to snake the drain cuz the toilets weren't flushing. They came and charged $165 to snake the drain. This morning less than 12 hours later the showers are flooding. Called them again and they told me that they would charge $100. The showers were fine before they came and now less than 12 hours later I'm having another problem. It makes me sad to write this, I really liked these guys and was planning to give them a bigger job next week but they seem like money grabbers. I needed to replace a couple water shut off valves under my kitchen sink. If you are looking for a plumber, Mandel is your guy! Very friendly and accommodating! He was able to come to our house to unscrew a stuck bonnet ring on my shower valve within hours that I contacted him. I understand most plumbers would charge close to a hundred dollars for any work being performed, but he charged me less. He and his apprentice got the job done in an instant and I am happy that I gave him a call.  He is quick and reliable. Had an issue with a backed up sewer line. Called one plumber and he tried to unclog it from the wrong clean out and told me that he couldn't do it, but could put in a better/bigger clean-out for $1800.
Then I found RAR on Yelp and Mandel showed up within an hour. I told him the clean out was in the back so he quoted me $165, which still felt good to me. When he arrived he saw another clean out that was closer the the street so he used that one and BOOM... unclogged.... and ALSO, he only charged me  $99 because it was 75' or less, and not a longer run which was the $165 quote.
This guy is honest and hard working, and was a pleasure from the time he arrived to the time he left.
I even tried to give him an extra $20 and he wouldn't take it.

I had an emergency on Saturday morning- my cold water faucet was stuck and water was running at high pressure. There was a risk of flooding my bathroom  and my neighbor's below. I was panicked and found these guys through Yelp. And I couldn't be more grateful that I did!  Mandel answered my call right away, asked for photos, quickly identified the issue and sent out his guys- Anthony and Devron. Once they arrived, they confirmed the issue and began to work on it, communicating what needed to be done and why, making recommendations regarding next steps etc. They were able to fix the issue in no time. Mandel and his crew were outstanding. We first reached out to them to help us with an emergency (water backing up simultaneously into kitchen sink, tub/shower in bathroom, and toilet). They took care to properly diagnose what the issue was, show us the problem on the camera, and get it taken care of in the short term. Then we had them come back out a few weeks later to perform the long-term, permanent fix, which was digging out several feet of old, corroded cast iron pipe from underneath our house and replacing it with ABS, as well as fixing the tie-in that was incorrectly installed before we purchased the house (hence the reason for water backing up into both the kitchen and the bathroom at the same time). Throughout all of it, Mandel and the team were excellent communicators, were on time and finished jobs ahead of schedule, and quoted us at reasonable prices without constantly upselling us or adding on new hidden charges. All said, we were really happy we found them here on Yelp, and we'll gladly work with them again for any more plumbing work we need.

I reached out to Rapid Action Rooter to repair my clogged kitchen sink and replace the broken garbage disposal unit.  Mandel was very responsive - he contacted me back to schedule an appointment within minutes of receiving my initial message.

Discovered a leak underneath my kitchen sink at 2am today. After calling & requesting quotes via Yelp around 9am 1 of the 1st to respond was Mandel. I can honestly say that I've never been so overcharged for a service in my life.  The main plumbing line in my house was blocked and they came to clear it.  The initial visit was $425, and Mandel, the owner, told me that this would happen again if they didn't do extensive work on the line.  Another plumber had told me the same thing after the third time he cleared it and said that they might have to cut through the floor across the whole length of the house to replace the pipe. This would be a $15-$20,000 job.
When Mandel told me that his team could  fix it from the outside in 4 or 5 hours for $4,500, I thought that that was a high hourly rate  but was happy that he wasn't going to rip apart my house.  
Two guys did most of the work from 9AM to noon, taking a half hour break while waiting for parts. I can't imagine that the pipes cost more than $200. Additionally, they made a point of showing me the roots that had filled the pipe.  Had those roots actually grown into that pipe, the bathroom would not have worked at all for quite a long time.
If I hadn't already signed the contract, I never would have paid it.  At this point, all I can do is warn people away based on my experience.

It was the day after Christmas and the toilet tank was not filling up. I found Mandel on Yelp and saw the great reviews.

So it's Sunday night around 10pm and I have an early morning on Monday. I'm getting ready to go to bed and all of a sudden, my toilet goes on strike and backs (it) up like a high schooler at their first dance.

I'll spare you the nasty details, but I tried hard to fix it myself- I'm talking plunger, epsom salt, dish soap, hot water, hanger - all of it. Nothing worked and I was desperate.

I called a few companies on yelp, but this one took the cake. They kept their word on 1) the price and 2) estimated arrival time. It was quick, and I was able to get in bed by 12:30!

I highly recommend these fellas. They did a great job fixing my plumbing problem.  I had a pretty bad sewage back up in my bathroom toilet, sink, and tub. They found the cause and fixed it in no time. My house has pretty old piping. Not to mention, there was a one-way drainage tub previously installed that made it impossible to snake out any clogged issues indoors.  They installed a two-way drainage pipe, which will make it a whole lot easier to unclog, in the event, my pipes become backed up again. What a GREAT TEAM they are. Mandel and Kevin were very professional, they took time to thoroughly explain every step of the way. They turned my very bad not so good day, around!!  Very pleased with their work. Five Stars.

Rapid Action Rooter is an honest plumber.  I've been in real estate and construction for over 25 years and I can tell you that finding an honest plumber isn't easy.  But these guys are the real deal.  I had a sewer back-up at my office in Marina del Rey and called them.  Mandel scheduled a time, communicated with me during the day, and showed up on time!  When he arrived, he was able to identify the problem and give me options for how to get our drain working again.  He also gave us the option of fixing some plumbing pipes that were improperly installed by prior plumbers.  He did a great job, had things running normal in no time, and charged us a very fair price.  

I was so impressed with his work that I asked him to look at a sewer line job that another plumber had finished for me a couple weeks earlier at a separate property.  We had some lingering issues so I wanted a second opinion.  Mandel stopped by on a Saturday with his camera and carefully walked my property manager and me through what the other plumbers had done incorrectly.  He suggested I contact the other plumbers to request warranty repairs.  By educating us on the shoddy work done by others, he was able to save us thousands of dollars in additional repairs!

I would highly recommend Rapid Action Rooter.  They really take care of their clients in a professional and ethical manner.

It's a Saturday morning and our toilet is totally back up. Plunger didn't work, YouTube DIY didn't work, and chemicals didn't work, so I gave Rapid Action Rooter a try. Mandel responded to my request in less than 10 minutes.

Showed up on time but that's where the positives ended. He had an apprentice with him named Kevin who was learning the tricks of the trade which is fine. Charged me extra for removing my laundry sink to get to the clean out access but in the process of removing the sink noted that the drain for the sink was shoddy. He said he would fix the drain on reinstall as part of the fee he was charging but he never did. At the end said he didn't have the part in his van and was not willing to go purchase the part. Told me to go to Home Depot and buy the part myself, it's 5-10 bucks only he said. When his assistant went to reinstall the water connections to the sink he cross threaded the pipe and ruined the faucet. Mandel (owner) complained that the faucet is cheap and it was bound to happen. He told me to go to Home Depot and buy a better faucet for 60-80 bucks. When I asked him can he replace the part himself he said he didn't have a faucet in his can. So in summary, he charged me to removed the sink to snake a drained clean out access but proceeded to damage the faucet on reinstall. You know something is wrong when you hire a plumber to do the work and he tells you to go to Home Depot to buy the parts and clean up after him. That's poor workmanship. At the conclusion of the job, he left the floor super dirty and untidy. Overall, very unimpressed with his cleanliness and tidiness. Lastly, when it came time to pay him, I gave him my credit card but he said he had to charge me 5 percent transaction fee if I used a CC. This fee was never discussed at the beginning when he accepted the job. If I were to call a plumber again, I wouldn't recommend Mandel. He was a nice guy but not a great plumber.

Soo, where do I begin... I had experienced a debacle with a temperamental front bathroom toilet for three weeks  .
The only solution was to elicit the advise of a plumber. After reading the reviews on Yelp, it was clear there was only one person for me to call. Mandel was scheduled to arrive at noon the following day, he was more than prompt. He was at the house by 11:45am.

We had a leak in our toilet tank and I reached out to Mandel after getting a few quotes from other plumbers. The amount quoted for the work was about the same across the board except Mandel gave a suggestion.. for the cost it takes to repair the issue, I should just replace the entire toilet for the same end cost.

It was less money in their pockets, but Mandel was more interested in making sure we get the best solution for our issue. If you need to hire a plumber, that integrity is worth its weight in gold.

As a single woman, I dread having to call mechanics and plumbers. But when an underground pipe busted in my backyard flooding the neighbors yard and mine, I had no choice. Project Home Repipe - Great service & attitude. Showed up on time which is very important to me. Wore masks and gloves and was very respectful of my time (currently WFH due to COVID-19). The thing I liked most outside of the quality work that was done on my home was that Mandel made sure to answer all of my questions and took the time to educate me on the process, and told me to give him a call at any time if I had any additional follow up questions. He also offered to have me come by one of the jobsites that he was working on at the time so that I could see his work, etc. A company will only do something like that if they are confident and proud of their work, in my experience, so that gesture said a lot to me. I would recommend Mandel and his team to anyone in need of plumbing services.

We had a sewer line issue that was absolutely driving us crazy, and let's not even get to how bad it was starting to smell up our home. Mandel came to our home a few hours after my call and immediately knew the issues w we're experiencing. He was able to clear it all up, and at the same time he gave us really great and sound advice/recommendations to move forward. The pricing was very reasonable and matched the well done job. Not only was he good at his work, but he was extremely nice and professional. Lastly, be offered to go the extra mile and look under our home to help identify other issues and concerns we needed to address. I will only use Rapid Action Rooter services from here on out. Very disappointed with Rapid Action Rooter after reading all the supposedly good ratings they have on Yelp. I now wonder if they are fake. I called yesterday, Monday, at 2:38 p.m. and spoke to Mandel to get an estimate on the plumbing work that I need to have done. Mandel spoke with me briefly regarding my estimate  and then told me to text him my info since he was under a sink working and he would call me back when he was finished. I waited and waited, that was at 2:38 p.m yesterday, Monday, and it is now 11:00 a.m. the next day, Tuesday, and I haven't heard anything from Mandel. No problem, I will call one of his competitors and pay my money to one of them. He should remove the post from his advertisement that says, replies in about 10 minutes.

Naturally, plumbing issues always happened on the weekend when everyone is home and this weekend was my turn. My kitchen sink was backing up and I tried to fix the issue all Saturday without any luck. Called Rapid Action Rooter on a Saturday night and had they someone come out first thing Sunday morning. Kelly arrived quickly fixed the clog using the 50ft auger. Kelly was very professional and friendly. Highly recommended and will definitely call back.

Anthony and his crew found roots growing into my pipes at the street. Next day he was on it. Giant hole in front yard. Cleared roots fixed pipes the right way. Not with tape like it was done before.

We called Rapid Action Rooter on a Saturday with a semi emergency and Mandel came over right after he finished his other job. Mandel and his team was very responsive, even during the whole COVID stay at home time.  They came out to fix my water heater within an hour of speaking to him.  They replace my water heater and had me up and running again in less than three hours.  They were very friendly and prices were competitive.  They weren't the lowest cost provider, but their quality of work was worth spending a little more for.

Mandel is 100% a licensed plumber. Not only that, he's everything you want and need when you have a plumbing issue.

He came to my house to fix an emergency clog faster than any plumber I have ever called. He is a full professional, very good at his job (he's been doing this since his grandfather taught him at seven years old!) and very reasonable and up front with his pricing.

Mandel completely fixed my problem fast, cleaned up after himself, and if I could, I'd give him 10 stars. I rarely ever leave reviews, unless fully warranted. Call Mandel and no one else.

My kitchen sink sprang a leak in the middle of the night. I was freaking out because I I had just moved in and did not have my tools with me yet.
When I called, I explained that the old pipe had corroded and I didn't have the tools to stop it. They told me to take a picture of what was going on and send it to them. I was blown away by how accessible and professional their company operated.
Long story short, they had a lot of work cut out for them when they arrived. I assumed this would set me back quite a bit financially since they updated my system while also fixing the leak. But the price AND the service were both amazing!! Since I'm fixing up an old place that needs many repairs I can't personally handle (and I call myself a handyman lol) I will definitely be coming back to this company!

Mandel was just at my place of business to give me an estimate for some work.  Instead of charging me an arm and a leg to do some unnecessary work, which he could've got away with.  He told me the best fix for my situation and instructed me how to do it myself.  I appreciate his integrity and moral ethics.  I would definitely call upon this man to do work for a close friend or loved one without any concern of him trying to take advantage.

Rapid Action Rooter saved the day! Recently, my wife and I returned home from the hospital with my our first-born child only to find a massive water leak had caused significant damage inside our home during our time away. My mom had a plumbing issue today. Plumber came out but was having issues trying to snake it due to the grease that was poured in the sink over many years . What I loved about the owner is that he came down himself when he heard the guys were having problems trying to snake it.
I appreciated that the owner Mandell called me and kept in touch with me the entire afternoon. They really went out of their way to help out my mom.

Long story short, needed a quick service for what was thought to be a simple service.  Sent Mandel pics of the issue as requested and he showed up on time thinking it would be a quick fix.  Turns out who ever did the plumbing prior to me purchasing my home 9 yrs ago did a sh..ty job.  Basically to the point there was the very real possibility of this quick job turning into $$$$.  

Mandel was persistent in his efforts to avoid having   me spend that type of money.  Spending much longer than anticipated trying to basically remove a shower handle without having to break into the wall. To both our surprise the handle slipped off saving me tons of cash.  Mandel showed me the issue ( which I was aware of as I've seen this type of problem before) and was very informative of why it happened.  He corrected the problem got us all straighted out and was very fair with his pricing.  Will definitely use him again and recommend him to family and friends alike!

I highly recommend Rapid Action Rooter. Mandel was quick to respond to my message and was able to schedule me in the next day. He was even able to arrive earlier than originally planned which was great because we couldn't use our bathroom. We had tried multiple times to unclog our tub but it was too deep and nothing we tried worked. Mandel was able to fix it quickly and was in and out in no time. Was quoted an appointment 2 1/2 weeks away from Home Depot services (not to mention a 6 hour arrival window), decided to go another way for a garbage disposal replacement job.

It started out as a clogged kitchen sink, which prompted me to call Rapid Action Rooter, based on all the positive reviews. Mandel was professional and straight forward, and was willing to discuss options, even when it became apparent that a replacement of the original galvanized plumbing was best versus a simple snake, which would only clear the problem for a little while. We noticed our sink leaking last night so I looked on Yelp to see who could come out at night. he returned our call within 20min and came about 10pm to assess the situation, give us an estimate,and let my husband know which part to buy. he stopped by to fix the leak this afternoon after my husband confirmed he had purchased the needed parts. I was not home, but my husband was very pleased with the service received. he was friendly, professional, and I liked that he gave us updates on his ETA. I called Mandel Bishop who got his guy Kelly over to my place in an hour to snake a drain that Roto Rooter failed and advised to have the pipe replaced which they don't contract for.  Mandel said before they estimated that job [which he COULD do] they would attempt the snake.
Good thing too.  I now have a contract with Rapid to come and do the 'whole house' and will do that once a year from now on.  Look no farther Ladies and Gentlemen.

***WARNING MANDEL IS NOT A LICENSED PLUMBER***

I  wanted to be able to give a positive review, but I am dissatisfied. Mandel comes off kind and professional (and I will credit him that). I have a recurring sewage back up issue that has caused me to have to have my main drain and other drains snakes more often than one should have to. To Mandel's credit he has enough knowledge to make a person feel informed. He did clean smaller drains that other rooters have not previously addressed, in addition to the main drain. He did go under my house to determine that the pipes need replacement/repair. He also showed me camera footage that seemed to indicate that there was blockage in the main drain and what he identified as root damage from plants.

He quoted me $9500 to repair, NOT REPLACE, the alleged plumbing to the street. However, the pipe damage under the house would come as a separate unknown cost that he claimed to not be able to fully assess due to the presence of standing water under the house. He ensured me that paying for the main drain problem was the immediate concern and his guy could start digging today. He was clearly in NO RUSH to go to another job, in my opinion.

I called my neighbor over for advice. I did not mention that my neighbor is a construction project manager.My neighbor asks questions which caused Mandell to ask what his level of experience is. Mandel had already said casually that his father was a plumber and all his brothers or cousins are plumbers and how he'd done this for years. I believe bringing his son helps to lend credibility to his story. Cute little boy. He ended up telling myself and neighbor that his grandfather was city inspector or something and that he knows this and that. My neighbor seemed to be trying to make sense of the assessment, but Mandel kept talking and pointed to Yelp reviews, blah, blah, blah. I let him know the reviews were not in dispute because it was how I found him. And now I am critical of those reviews. I have since noticed that they are flooded from a recent period of three months and that the hidden reviews reveal more than he would like us to see. Honestly, it was when he actually pulled up the reviews to convince my neighbor that I knew he was full of crap. His work should speak for itself.

The fact that he brought the cost down to the $8000 range is funny now that I see that its his sweet spot on the quote based on other reviews. He also had no figures for the cost of actual replacement, claiming no one does that. When my neighbor asked what the cost of materials, or cost of price per linear foot, he HAD NO ANSWER. He didn't need to pass that cost on to me, but he should have known what that cost was.

I am a woman. I know nothing about plumbing. But, I am no dummy. I don't make decisions based on unknown risks, I DO NOT go for the hard sell, and if you are who you say your business is, you wouldn't try to hard sell me at the end, create a sense of urgency that was nonexistent, or point to Yelp reviews as your point of legitimacy. Yelp is a support tool, NOT an accrediting body.

I wanted to support a Black Owned Business and will continue to do so, but this business will not get my business. I paid $99 for the drain cleaning and I do not regret that. I paid $250 for camera pipe view, but learned from my neighbor that the technology should be color camera with higher quality grade and USB recording. He had bragged about the replacement of the pipes being the cutting edge, but my neighbor called his contact would told us it was bleeding age processing and that replacing a two-way is not done nor should be.

Extremely disappointed, but relieved that I keep my level head when I do business, even if it is not my area of expertise.

He is okay for routine drain cleaning. I wouldn't pay for more. He even charged me a 5% credit card usage fee when I know that to be the cost of doing business, which is NOT itemized on my receipt so he writes it off anyway. I paid because I have to bare some cost for making the mistake in calling him and not doing my due diligence, but I learned the job I need will cost me 50% less than what he quoted and I will get new materials.

1. DO NOT fall for the quick response. The real rooters are busy.
2. He is a partner in the Rapid Rooter business. Mandel DOES NOT have a Plumbing license and IS NOT a verified or qualified plumber.

4. Lesson Learned!

MY ADVICE: Pay for services with a credit card. Contact your credit card company for any financial dispute. **NEVER PAY CASH** A good bank has insurance for billing disputes. Like Ruby A. said in her revised review. Keep what I paid. It's only money. But, do not defraud or mislead people. It's bad business. He claims to have been in business all his life, but he is not an ethical business man. He would have more work if he wasn't trying to exploit homeowners.

I called Rapid Action first thing in the morning after sinks began overflowing due to a clog- they sent a technician out within an hour who diagnosed and fixed the problem, as well as giving me some long term advice. We had a slow clog in our shower on a Sunday morning and Mandel responded via Yelp in a matter of minutes. We went to an event for a few hours before I was able to call him back and speak on the phone and even after that he showed up within the hour after a couple more appointments he had. He did a quick snake of the drain and problem solved. He just recommended we get a new drain cover with a better hair trap system so I got one at Home Depot. I think he was here for no more than 5 minutes. It was way less of a headache than I thought this would be. Glad I found our new plumber!

Well, here I am again and Mr. Mandel Bishop was right.  I did need a new drain pipe.  He did a great job of cleaning out my old drain but within a few weeks, I could tell it was beginning to back up again and I did not want to wait until it got really bad so I contacted Mr. Bishop and informed him that he was correct... I needed a new drain so we made an appointment.  He got very busy with emergencies and since mine was not an emergency, I said no problem but he did a great job of keeping me posted and to my surprise, he gave me a discount because I was understanding and patient.  When he came to do the job, he keep me informed every step of the way.  He showed me that the pipe was old and corroded and was no longer even connected to the vent pipe.  OMG!  He then redid the pipes under my sink because they had been improperly installed and the wrong size was used.  See the picture that I attached... the one on the left was too small for a kitchen sink.  The one on the right was the proper size.  Now my sink drains so fast which is music to my ears because I suffered with this issue a long time.  It's so nice to finally find a competent plumber.  I will be using Rapid Action Rooter for all my plumbing needs in the future.

Rapid Action Rooter:

Your reply is absurd.  You know like we know you overcharged that sewer repipe job.  We researched Home Advisor and found sewer repipes in that zip code cost an average of $2500 to $4500.  You charged almost double.

You also know plumbers can and will charge $20K for a sewer repipe.  However, the higher cost is associated with much larger properties such as ranches, for example, and not a 2+2 modest home in the 90047 zip code.

You are dishonest.  You used deceit in quoting the $8K price to us.  You are greedy and you are a liar.  Hauling and disposing of biohazardous material and old pipe is not $8k! Nor is the cost of materials $8K.  Each of the 6-8 pipes you installed were approximately $50-60 each.

We would have called a different plumber.  However, due to the circumstances, all mentioned here before, we were not able to do so. Believe you me, we would have done it.

This is not our first rodeo Mandel Bishop.  We own several properties and employ two master plumbers.  But the difference between our plumbers and you is honesty, integrity and fair pricing for the work they do.  Never in a million years would we even consider doing business with someone as dishonest, arrogant and overzealous as you.  

Good luck in your business affairs!  Be honest.  Be forthcoming, and above all, charge a fair price for the work you do.  You got our money.  It's only money.  We're standing our ground on principle.  Besides, you must have needed the money a lot more than we did!

Mandel runs his business like a true professional. I called him with an emergency sewer backup problem on a Saturday morning. He was there within a couple of hours. After review, he suggested a course of action and walked me through all the options, pros and cons. He was on top of things all through the 3 days it took to revamp my entire sewer connection to the city main line. Mandel is not cheap by any stretch, but if you are a homeowner and want top quality work performed by an extremely reliable company, these guys are your best bet.

I called Rapid Action Rooter to unclog my kitchen sink and they did an amazing job.  Within 10 minutes they had snaked the drains and cleared out all the gunk that was blocking the flow of water. I called Rapid Action Rooter because my sink kept gurgling (so weird). It started off being once in a while, then I'd hear it randomly multiple times while watching Netflix. I thought, This can't be good.. I reached out to Rapid Action Rooter and scheduled a plumber to come out at 2:30pm the next day. The next day, I got a phone call around 9:30am from their dispatcher stating they had an opening in my area! The plumber (Kelly was his name) arrived shortly before 10am. He was professional, kind, and wore a mask. He explained what he needed to get done (take apart the drain) and, after diagnosing the problem, told me the estimated cost for snaking the line. We agreed and he got it done in about 15-20 mins. There was SO much crap in the drain line (I'm the bottom floor of a four story condo). He explained that my upstairs neighbors and I all use the same drain line, so it's my responsibility to make sure their sinks don't back up into mine since i'm at the bottom. Mandel was great. We needed a new toilet installed, and the old toilet removed. It was on the second floor and most companies charge extra, but Mandel did not. He was able to provide a thorough and accurate quote over the phone, and made time in his schedule quickly. He came on time, was professional, and was able to get the job done. He showed us everything he was doing and let us know as he saw potential issues that might arise, which he was able to resolve. Mandel is by far one of the best people that has ever helped us when it comes to a house/plumbing issue. Mandel was OUTSTANDING!!! We called for an emergency appointment on Saturday and he was at our home within hours. He was extremely experience, knowledgeable, patient, helpful, and honest.  He was efficient in removing the clog in our main line. He ran the camera through our system to identify the problem. He explained to us in detail the problem and the best solution. His prices were very reasonable for the work needed. Mandel and his crew returned within 2 days to complete the work. They were prompt and efficient with minimal disruption to my courtyard. After completing the work, Mandel and his team ran the camera gain to check the integrity of the pipes. With any old home with old pipes there was damage. Mandel provide us with a resolution that did not require any additional disruption to my courtyard. They were able to complete the additional work the same day. Over the years we have been provided multiple quotes, multiple reasons, and multiple solutions of the work needed to repair my main line that would require extreme disruption to my courtyard and inside my home. Mandel is an EXPERT!!! He was extremely accurate with resolving the problem. I would definitely hire Mandel again. I will call him for all of my future plumbing needs.

Mandel and his team were great, courteous, and professional. I just bought an older house and wanted to make sure the plumbing was good. The day before they came I had another company scope the line and they said it would be $11k to fix the pipes and I needed to remove my brand new concrete patio. The video showed stoppage of the pipe at 22ft!!! I called Mandel for a second opinion. He got his camera to 80ft! So glad I called. He reinforced my pipes for a fraction of the price and was done in a day. I will call him whenever I need any plumbing help.

Our shower knob cartridge broke and I couldn't shut off our shower. I searched Yelp for an emergency plumber.  I called one that came up earlier on the list from Yelp, they said someone would call me in 30 mins but never did.  So I called Rapid Action and Mandel answered quickly.  He said he would be over within an hour and it would be a quick fix.  He arrived within the hour and replaced the cartridge very quickly.  Super professional and super nice! A lot of people claim to be 24/7, Mandel is 24/7.  He always has time for a phone call and discuss what you are looking to repair.  Knew my houses issues before he walked in the door.  Took care of all our pipes within 6 hours, fixed our water line to our fridge so our ice maker works.  He piped my water heater and set up a line for my sprinkler system to my back yard.  All within 6 hours.  I still have sunshine and my sons can still do stuff today.  Great team he has working for him.  Will be calling him again with anything in the future.

Mandel and his crew added a lining to my sewer line and the whole experience was very positive.  It was a big job, but everything was done promptly and a within about a day.  Mandel is a very nice guy and clearly has roots in the area (which is important in a big anonymous city like LA).  All of the guys on his team were very friendly and courteous.  And last but not least, I think I got a pretty good deal on the project :)

Wow! Our very, very old water heater (about 15 yr. old) finally started to leak and drip into our kitchen. With one call to Mandel, he had a new one ordered and delivered that same day! And then he and his amazing crew came out the next day to install the new one and remove the old one. Our water heater lives on the deck of our 2nd floor, so the crew had to carry the new one up the stairs and bring the old one down. Not an easy task at all! But Mandel and his crew did an awesome job! They made sure they didn't drip the dirty water in the house too! They're awesome!!! If you're looking for work to be done, these guys are the best!

Mandel ended up fixing our clogged kitchen sink on NYE of all days. It was not the NYE we expected but we were pleasantly surprised that we found him and how communicative he was during the holiday. We were even more impressed with his professionalism and knowledge as you never know how honest people can be. Mandel came out to snake a blocked sewer drain and couldn't be more friendly and professional. Unfortunately the snake seemed to indicate a deeper issue which required some camera investigation. One fascinating trip through the bowels of my home later, I was greeted with 2 issues that would require some major repairs. No one is thrilled to learn of a surprise repair bill, but Madel was candid about my options and their likely cost without ever being pushy. Seems like my business with these guys will be ongoing for the time being, but I trust I'm in good hands.

Mandel, the owner, responded to my Yelp request in a very timely manner on Sunday and was able to confirm a technician to come out first thing Monday. Our technician, Anthony, arrived earlier than scheduled and was very professional, quick and thorough. Called Mandel and set up an appt. at his convenience as I had slow drainage in my master bath but not an emergency.  He called me when he had time and I didn't have to call repeatedly to get an appt. I called Mandell around  8:30pm and he rreturned my call as soon as I was hAnging up. Telling him my issues over the phone about a busted main water line, his guys were backed up with jobs and couldn't get to me  right away BUT he gave me a lot of knowledge over the phone about which direction or avenues on how I should try to handle it until he could get to uS if need be. Because it was an HOAA issuue it made more since you go with them. I will definitely keep his info for the future.

Called Mandel yesterday morning for a sewer line that was backed up on our 3 unit property.
He answered immediately and was able to squeeze us for the late afternoon.  After surveying the issue, he got straight to work and snaked the line, at the source of issue.  Roots!  After clearing the line, he droppped a camera in and showed us where the problem is.  
Did not charge us for estimates.
He even checked the toilets for the rear unit for a seperate issue, at no charge.  
He was worth the wait, and im glad i found Rapid Action on Yelp.

Incredibly thankful for Mandel's help. My toilet handle went bad. When we would flush the toilet the handle would stay down and keep the toilet running. All the 5-star reviews on Yelp for Rapid Action Rooter are well-deserved! I had a main sewage line blockage that caused black water to flood into every drain of my home. I spoke to Mandel who sent over Ron within the hour. Ron was very courteous and professional as he snaked the drain and assessed the situation. He called out Mandel who educated me on exactly what the issue entailed. It was evident from the beginning of our conversation that Mandel has a wealth of knowledge and I felt completely comfortable listening to the options he presented to me. Ron and Mandel worked well into the night digging a trench and replacing a corroded portion of my sewage line. The next day, he sent out Luis and more of his crew to assess the rest of the line. We found the line to be compromised in multiple areas and the team spent most of the afternoon wrapping the sewage line. Once completed, the line flowed smoothly and my family and I felt a peace of mind that no one can put a price on. I'm very thankful for Mandel and his crew - they were honest, reliable and professional Thank you for taking really good care of us!

Mandel and his team are the best. My husband and I moved into an old home and we needed quite a few updates and one of them was piping. Our pipes were probably almost original to the home from the 30's with a mixture of some copper and they were also small. Mandel assured us that he could take care of the job with no problem and start within the week. Our entire water and drain system was redone including adding updated hookups for our washer, dryer and fridge. Our water line from the street to the house was updated to copper and enlarged. Mandel and the team also properly vented our dryer from the crawl space to the opening and changed our kitchen faucet! Whew! That was a lot.
He's very knowledgeable and explains the process as he goes along. I'm a novice so it was helpful. Will absolutely work with Rapid Action Rooter Again!

On  March 3rd, I needed a plumber to fix my backed up pipes. Found Mandel on Yelp. All the reviews on him were exact. He was honest and straightforward throughout the whole process. He made sure to let me see all the issues, not just tell me. I'm not the most expensive and I'm not the cheapest, but I guarentee and stand behind all my work and he means it.  He helped resolve my plumbing issue which ended up being the main line outside the house and I shouldn't have any other backed up pipes unless my kids flush something crazy. From first contact to Yelp review in two hours! Had a clogged main pipe (yay teenage kids) and found out my old plumber retired. I checked out the plumbers in my area and contacted a few on Yelp. Mandel is the man. In three weeks he's unfortunately already had to help me twice. Once was later in the evening with a toilet which wouldn't stop overflowing, and now with a kitchen sink that wasn't working! Happy customer!! I had a plugged toilet at home and was in dire need of finding someone to come out same day. After several you tube videos, DIY tricks, and Home Depot runs, I decided to call an expert. It was a Saturday and I tried calling a few others and no one answered their phone; however, when I called Rapid Action, a helpful and cheerful Mandel was on the other side. He estimated he could be at my home in two hours, and what do you know, he was 15 minutes early!!! He immediately got to work and started trouble shooting my problem! Not only did he fix my clogged toilet, but because of his trouble shooting he found that some of the pipes in the bathroom were not connected!! We had a huge backyard drainage problem...flooding every time it rained.  The only way to remedy it was to trench the entire length of the side yard to the front of the property.  We thought this would take days, but Mandel brought a crew of 9 workers on a Sunday and finished it that day!  It was massive job, replacing the broken pipes compromised by tree roots, with larger, more durable material.

We originally hired him to unplug our master shower drain, which two other plumbers could not do. Kudos!

I found Rapid Action Rooter on Yelp and so glad that I did.  Being a family owned business means a great deal to me, that & the outstanding reviews by other happy customers.  Mandel (owner) was very responsive and communicative as we worked out the soonest possible date.  We had to work around the Christmas holiday so there was a little delay, but that was entirely on me, he was more than willing to work.
Dec 26th he arrived exactly on time, we discussed all of the problems and he got right to work without delay.  I am very impressed with his work ethic, knowledge & experience.  He also has a wonderful disposition & attitude.

Contacted Mandel for a CCTV inspection. Initially my appointment was at 10, that same morning I contacted Mandel & asked him if he could show up at 930, he agreed. It was so important for the plumber to be there on time as the city inspectors don't wait. He was there punctual at 930. Such a relieve. Great Service! Mandel was very straight forward and wanted to ensure that we were well informed of the entire process. He takes great passion in making sure that his clients are receiving the best possible service, and go about approaching their issues the right way. He is well informed of the craft and did not mind answering any of our questions.
I've had experiences with a number of plumbers who's attitudes were bad, were not clear on pricing, and many have done poor jobs. That was not even a concern here.
He was able to locate our leaking issue and unclog our drain in less than half an hour.

A friend recommended this plumbing service and after speaking to Mandel (who is very communicative and upfront about pricing) we had Kelly out at the house today to help us with a clogged toilet - he was right on time, charged less than the quote and was extremely professional. The best plumber in Los Angeles. We called around 12:30 Am to fix a problem with the bathtub. The hot water kept running even when you turned it off. Mandel is five star plumber all the way! He was available to come replace our water heater on SUPER short notice (same day) after we had been going back and forth with our warranty plumber for 4 days... 4 days with no hot water.... anyway, not only was Mandel readily available, he was full of much needed information and recommendations regarding our water heater (we're new homeowners). there was no pressure to buy extras simply good, honest and VALUABLE info. we'll keep him on speed dial for all of our future plumbing needs.

I don't blow smoke up anyone's kazoo! This review I write from my heart and can't quantify my gratitude for this plumber and his superior quality of service.

My hot water heater failed and water was leaking something awful. Mr. Mandel Bishop to the rescue! He goes above and beyond to provide the best service this side of the Mississippi! Mr. Bishop made time to assess and re-schedule the quickest turn around appointment.

Mr. Bishop and his staff were efficient, courteous, polite, and wasted zero time getting the job done. There was zero lounging around, idle conversations or lollygagging! They are about business and upholding their reputation as a quality plumbing service.

I was in years after Mr. Bishop reassured me that everything would be ok and he was on the job. He stood by his word. He did not leave until he saw that everything was functioning properly. A quick hand shake and he and his crew were off to service the next plumbing emergency.

On July 5th we had water leaking from a pipe in our front lawn area on our property in the Los Angeles/Gardena area. First we called Golden State Water company thinking it was from their pipes.  We were told it was from our main water line and that we would need to call a plumber.  I searched Yelp hoping to find someone who could come out as by this time it was after 5.  Found Rapid Action Rooter which was close to our property and saw all the great reviews.  Mandel came out and advised us of the work that needed to be done.  He was not able to start the work that night as it was getting dark and the work that needed to be done was outside.  He told us he would be able to start the work in the morning which we agreed to.  He called around 9 to give an estimated time that he would be there.  Mandel and his worker Tony were very respectful and a pleasure to talk to.  They answered all of the questions that were asked of them and did not mind explaining things.  Will definitely use them again...hopefully not any time soon though :)

A huge THANK YOU to Rapid Action for their excellent customer service! Called first thing on a Sunday morning and described the problem I was experiencing. They immediately provided an explanation as to why my dishwasher was spouting water everywhere. Plumbers arrived within about an hour and fixed the problem within 15 minutes. Mandel was the only plumber that picked up my call on a Sunday evening about a clogged toilet. He was there within the hour. He was quick and thorough about clearing the clog.

Unfortunately the clog came back two days later. He picked up my call again, helped me diagnose the problem (new toiler paper) and came by the following day to clear the clog again free of charge.

Had a badly clogged shower drain.  Mandel explained that the drain pipe was corroded and he would do his best to unclog it.  Miraculously Mandel was able to get the drain unclogged and explained the work that needed to be done. Mandel has reinstated my belief in quality service for an equitable price AND delivered with honesty & integrity.  I'm currently recovering from a serious leg injury, thus, walking is still difficult.  The toilet in the master bath backed up & nothing I did remedied the situation.  As is so often the case, this occurred on a Saturday in the early evening.   My options were to risk navigating down a dark hall to the other bathroom should nature call in the middle of the night, or call for help.  I grabbed my phone & hit the Yelp app.  When I see a company or service that has multiple 5-star ratings, that's who I call first.  I called Mandel, explained my situation, and he rearranged his schedule in order to get here ASAP to fix the problem.  He was prompt, courteous, and the issue was quickly remedied.  He will be my go-to plumber from now on, and I highly recommend his services!

Mandel sent his team out (contracted with Right Time Rooter and Plumbing) to replace and relocate my hot water heater outside.  Anthony and his guys showed up on time and did a great job.  There was a minor issue that caused the pilot light to go out and he offered to come by that evening.  I didn't want to disturb his evening so he came out the first thing the next morning and everything's been fine ever since.  They also wore masks which is a plus in my book.

Thank you soo much Mandel for saving the day! I had a clogged pipe, & I assumed I can fix it by going to my local hardware store and was recommended that acid would clear the pipe. Well that was the worst mistake of my life!! Went home poured it in the sink. Left and came back 4 hours later at 9pm & OMG The acid was melting my pipes, & it leaked everywhere. I was completely freaked out on the verge of tears. Quickly got on yelp and found Mandel. Called him right away, explained my situation to him. Last night, the valve stem on my shower broke and I was unable to turn off the water for my shower. I called around to a few 24 hour plumbers around midnight and within a few minutes after leaving a message, Mandel called me and asked what the problem was. I was then able to easily set up an appointment for the following morning for an emergency valve repair. Mandel and Mark were able to gauge what they needed with a few photos that I provided and were really efficient in fixing the issue. On top of that they were 30 minutes early!

Rapid Action Rooter is AMAZING!!! They came through in a pinch for me and my family during the memorial day weekend. We had low pressure shower and two sinks that were leaking. I reached out to a few plumbers and Mandel from Rapid Action Rooter reached out to me first. He gave me his number to call him, he was available right away. I ask if he can come the next day which was Saturday and also happened to be his wife birthday. He said give him a few minutes to work something out. Less than a 30  minutes later he called and said he will send one of his technicians. His technicians Adrian and Erick came the next day on time inspected everything and order parts. They came back on Monday which was Memorial day was on time again and completed everything before noon. They are reasonable price, timely, friendly, and explain everything in a easy way. Emergency plumbing needs are a nightmare at any time of year, but this year (2020) and just weeks before Xmas seemed to lean into cruel and unusual punishment.  I am SO grateful to have found Rapid Action Rooter on Yelp and after speaking with multiple plumbers, thankful I decided to go with them.  It was to my absolute benefit.  Mandel and his team were able to come out and begin work within 24 hours of my call (others needed up to a week, and this could not wait), and he showed me everything they did, every step of the way.  The price was well within the same estimates I'd received from the other plumbers and let's be real, plumbing -like dental work- is never cheap.  What made it a lot less painful was Mandel's transparency of the process and the warranty he includes for his work.  QUITE impressive really, and it was better than anything else other licensed plumbers offered.  I would highly recommend him, and will absolutely use his services again.

I had a water leak in the kitchen. The plumber quickly came out and assessed my leak. The technician showed me where the problem was and informed me what was needed in order to handle the situation. Where do I begin.... so it was about 1030 am and i decided to have my dog in the front yard on 15ft leash. As I was putting the stake into the ground, without thinking about the water main line I accidentally punctured a hole into my copper pipe I knew I had messed up as soon as I heard hissing coming from the ground. I removed the stake and oh boy did the water start to come. Luckily I have a tool to turn off the water from shut off valve.. well anyways after I had turned my water off I had to call a plumber ASAP. I called the first one I seen which rapid response and boy let me tell you... As soon as Mandel answered the phone he was courteous and asked me a couple a questions to evaluate my issue. He then said ok let me call my plumbers to come out and give me a estimate. About 2-5 minutes later I get a return call from Mandel saying he can have a plumber out in about 30 minutes or less I was please send him. The plumber Kelly was there in about 20 minutes he saw what happed and gave me a great estimate. Kelly was a great guy and I am so glad he came out to help my family and I out with our plumbing issue... he finished the job in a couple hours. I recently moved into a new home and needed the sewer system repaired. It was a MAJOR job to have the pipes replaced and relined. Mandel came and handled it with no problems. Where do I begin... it was a Sunday evening (8ish) when my toilet and shower began to back up. Lord who am I going to call this time of night that will be able to come out and rescue me. I did a google search for plumbers open on Sunday evenings near me and got back 2-3. So I began my search and 1 never called me back (thank God for that) the other said his van had just been stolen and the third.. well this is where Mandel comes into the story. I called and he answers, I explained my problem and he says I'll be there after my next job. He got there within the hour. He ran the snake and quickly realized that there was a bigger and more serious problem. He offered to run the camera down the line (for an additional fee) which was not just worth it but very necessary. He showed me where the problems where (plural) and after a thorough discussion we concluded that the work needed to be done. He was in and out in a matter of a day and a half. They are extremely professional and they take amazing care of your property while working there. I would recommend him to ANYONE. He is an honest, family man who is carrying his grandfather's legacy.  What I take away from this experience and leave you with, is that if you want an HONEST, CLEAN, PROFESSIONAL... I would like to thank Mandel for his kind service yesterday. Rapid Action Rooter was actually the 3rd plumbing services I called as I went in order of the ratings listed on yelp. The first place I called closest to my area in Westchester was AA Twin Brothers plumbing. While someone answered the phone immediately, the customer service via phone was not kind, warm or welcoming at all. The lady seemed like she didn't care and just wanted to get off the phone. I had to interject so I can even ask a question so I called back to cancel. Another place I called had better phone customer service but starting prices compared to others seemed more expensive. I then called Rapid Action Rooter and phone was immediately answered by Mandel who was cheerful and was able to schedule within a few hours, sooner than the other place to help with our toilet and shower drain problem. He even took time to have me share the problem I observed and provided a quote of $99 if toilet did not need to be removed. He asked me to simply text him my name, address and appointment time we agreed on. I then called back just to check and see if my text was received, and his wife kindly responded immediately to assure me I was on the schedule. When he arrived he greeted me kindly, I showed him to the bathroom with the drain issues, and he did his best to try using his metal snake machine to get through the old drains of the house from the side of the outside of the house to try to save on money. Unfortunately while he did his best, the drains were not unclogging so the toilet did need to be removed and he needed to bring his snake machine into the house to unclog the situation and that was $375. He then noticed that the shower drain was also pretty clogged up so he asked if I wanted to go ahead and have him unclog that one too and he would give me a discount so the whole total ended up being $400. The job took over 2 hours which was longer than he anticipated but he stuck around to get it done. I thank him for his kind help. I kind of wished that he brought his own towels or cleaning items to help clean the mess in the bathroom afterwards but I don't know if it is customary for that to be part of the job so I just hired a cleaner to come in to help clean and sanitize the bathroom from all the mud, dirt and sewage stuff that came out of the drains which splashed around the walls and floors. Anyway, Mandel loves his job and I was thankful for his prompt and honest assistance.

I called Mandel for a couple of issues. He responded promptly and helped me out more than I ever could know. He sent out one of his employees and they finished the job with perfection and left the area clean. Very friendly and kind group of plumbers. Always willing to help and answer all questions. I highly recommend their services.

We had a frustrating day when a dryer was delivered for installment. Found out a gas valve was missing and they couldn't finish the installment. We called around and thankfully Kelly from Rapid Action Rooter was able to come out quickly and help us out. He was kind, patient, and even funny which we needed after a long day.

We had an urgent and complicated issue of a toilet overflowing after hours. He responded quickly and diagnosed the problem. Because the problem was complicated he walked us through what we should do next and game us some numbers to call and how we should deal with the insurance company due to the nature of the problem.  Overall very satisfied with his response.

Mandel and his crew are simply the best. Mandel showed up within 2 hours of my call on a Sunday. Via camera, Mandel showed me that roots had destroyed the sewage pipes. Mandel and Anthony arrived first thing the next day and got the job done quickly while keeping me informed throughout the process. Mandel is honest, knowledgeable and his prices are fair. The entire team was courteous and cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend Rapid Action Rooter.

We needed help fixing our shower (our water had to keep being shut off because our shower head would not turn off) and they sent someone out ASAP to fix the problem. They were able to fix it in one trip and gave great service. Will definitely use again for next plumbing issue.

Initially, I had called Mandel to come by and clean out my sewer line which had backed up.  Unfortunately, my sewer pipe had begun to decay with age and was breaking down in a number of places.  Using his camera, Mandel showed me the exact areas where the deterioration was occurring. He was honest and gave me the his opinions about what options I had in front of me.  I made the decision to have him and his crew do the work and I can say it was one of the best decisions I have made in quite some time.  He and his workers were on time, courteous, clean and helpful.  I have already referred Rapid Action Rooter to other family, friends, and associates...and I will most definitely use him again.

Mandel is really a great service provider.  We called him on a Sunday morning for a badly clogged kitchen sink.  He arrived earlier than anticipated, diagnosed the problem immediately, explained it clearly we could evaluate the service he would provide, and he took care of the problem.  I will absolutely call Mandel and Rapid Action Rooter again the next time I have an issue and recommend them highly to anyone looking for a plumber.

The night before my sons 5th birthday party with over 60 guests our sewage was backing up into our master bathroom!  Sunday morning at 9am I called several plumbers to try to get a fix done before our party, and Mandel came out and saved the day!  He brought in larger snakes, and even left for an hour to grab a hydro jet because the roots were so thick in the sewer line that nothing was able to get through.  Mandel kept saying he wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing this wasn't cleared before the party.  He did a great job and saved the day.  I was very impressed by his professionalism, and knowledge and would absolutely recommend them for any plumbing needs.

Where do I begin. Mandel Bishop, owner of Rapid Action Rooter, quite literally saved me from incurring tens of thousands of dollars in damages. I heard water dripping behind a wall in my laundry room. After another expert told me it was the washing machine leaking I made an appt for an appliance repair person to come the next day. Something didn't seem right about that diagnosis and I checked on it the next morning around 5am. It was clear to me then that it was something behind the wall in the plumbing. We just moved into this house and I didn't know how or where the main water turnoff was located. So, I googled 24 hour emergency plumbers. The first two plumbers I called put me into voicemail. Thankfully, I called Rapid Action Rooter and Mandel picked up on the first ring... AT 5AM!!! He talked me through how to locate my main water valve. Now at least I could minimize the damage by turning off the water. Next, he told me he had a 6am appointment but he would be at my house by 7am.  Mandel arrived promptly at 6:55am. He wasted no time diagnosing the problem. He showed me where the drywall was wet and with my permission removed the damaged drywall. Within 10 minutes he had identified the leak in a copper pipe in the ceiling. Needless to say, I am incredibly grateful for his promptness, professionalism and expertise. Mandel Bishop is a true gem and a person of great integrity. I can't find enough superlatives to express my gratitude or endorse him enough. Thank you!!

I don't write many reviews but wanted to comment on genuinely great service and a sincerely good human. I recently called Rapid Action and spoke to Mandell and told him of my shower drain clog. I explained that I tried all the quick remedies but needed the drain to be snaked. He immediately said no problem when can I come by to take a look. We booked an appointment but somewhere in my communication the day of service was misinterpreted. Mandell called me on Friday to let me know he was en route to the house, I had to tell him I thought I had booked for Saturday and again he said no problem. He then explained that he and his family were on baby watch and that Saturday may not happen.  I said I definitely understand. Saturday morning I received a call from Mandell saying he maybe able to come by in the afternoon if everything with new baby goes as planned :). Needless to say at roughly 3pm Saturday afternoon, this gentleman shows up at my door. He then apologized for making me wait. Seriously, his wife just had a baby and he apologized to me?!  He came in, was able to clear the drain in the shower and then asked for cleaning supplies to clean the shower.  I immediately said get out of here and go spend time with your new baby!  Very few people have this kind of work ethic and commitment to customer service in today's society. Thank you for fixing the shower and restoring a little hope in humanity.
