I sadly write this review due to the repeated non-response of John and RJ Plumbing, both this year and last. Most recently I left a message describing services needed early yesterday morning via both his preferred text and the listed office phone to address. I had three plumbing issues at my home: drain stoppers, a leaky faucet base, and replacing a kitchen faucet. He has not responded via text or phone. The same thing happened about a year ago or so; I chalked it up to Covid, but maybe not.

To be fair, I'd used John in the past; he was excellent, fair-priced, and efficient, even answering questions about what I'd need to do to maintain his new repairs. I'm sorry that he has become non-responsive.

Our 75 gallon water heater began to leak a couple weeks ago so I started calling around to get estimates for a replacement. I got about 5 estimates and a couple were similarly priced including RJ's and the others were way over priced (30-40% over). I went with John at RJ because he was responsive, knowledgeable and came across honest. He came on time and completed the job quickly and neatly. He helped me subsequently troubleshoot a small problem with the hot water faucet and was super responsive. John at RJ is definitely at the top of my list for plumbers to call when I have any issues.

Fixed our toilet flush, snaked our kitchen sink and, in a return visit, bought and replaced the garbage disposal. John and RJ Plumbing is not just the best plumber, but probably the best contractor of any type that I have worked with since first becoming a home owner in 2002. I'd give them 6 stars, if I could.

I called about five plumbers to help re-build my tub drain and trap. Four came for an estimate, but just three actually provided an estimate. My house is on a slab, and two of them wanted to jack hammer the slab under my bathroom to get at the drain. It would also mean that I would have to find new 12 tiles, which would never match. John took a little extra time to analyze how the original drain was constructed and came up with a much faster and much less expensive solution. I awarded the job on the spot. The key is EXPERIENCE. Other plumbers will send out a newer technician or a sales person to provide your estimate. As the owner, John has the experience to see the most options and provide the best solution. Fortunately, he also does his own estimates.

He arrived on time, worked with limited access and finished on time and on budget. The work was elegant and completed with a high level of craftsmanship (see photo). Amazing and wonderful. For your next plumbing project, feel free to get additional bids if you like, but make sure that one of them is from RJ. Even with just one job completed, I have a high level trust with RJ Plumbing.

Thanks to Yelp, I've found an awesome new plumber.

Backstory:
For several years I've been using a plumbing service that drove a distance to get to my area. I liked that they were avail 24/7 (and I did have emergencies) but the older, experienced guys I've worked with are no longer there. So I went to Yelp searching for a local plumber, hopefully a small family-owned company.
R.J. had 5-star reviews up the wazoo.

John works alone & I like that. You can't call him at 2am on a weekend so know where your main water shut-off is, just in case.

My immediate problem was declining water pressure/volume as I tried to water landscaping the past couple weeks. I disabled all the sprinklers a few years back during the drought & discovered it's more efficient to water by hand, although very time-consuming.
So there I was recently, with water exiting hoses like a limp noodle as I stood in the blazing sun ready to tear my hair out by its bleached blond roots.

A pressure regulator is a good idea (so your pipes don't blow up) & I always have one installed wherever I live. I suspected mine might need adjustment & I was right. John increased the pressure.

Meanwhile, I learned about water volume - different from pressure. To increase the volume I need to get the water dept. out to change the meter - my next task.

John had some great ideas to make my watering experience easier, like adding a hose bib, etc. & I will consider his suggestions.

But for now I'm back in business with the hoses & the interior faucets are functioning more like normal.
And John is wonderful. I learned so much. And he was kind to my cat who was in his face as we checked out an ancient toilet in the bathroom.

As long as I'm on the subject of water:
I have a big two-tiered concrete fountain in my back yard that doesn't work & leaks but is too heavy to move so the previous owner left it here & I fill it daily to use as a bird bath.
The birds not only drink from it but they congregate on it. I see at least 3 different varieties of birds, chattering away, hanging out by the pool. Like I should bring them a pitcher of margaritas & some sunscreen.
Cat lazily watches the action from inside the house.

I've used yelp for reviews for a long time but hadn't felt strongly enough to write a review until now. It's time I give back.

We hired RJ Plumbing to replace a water heater that was long overdue for replacement. It finally started leaking and we knew it was time. Reached out to various places. John was very professional in his communication, provided a reasonable estimate on both time to fix and cost, and stuck to both of them. He helped assess what needed to be done as a result of the leak which helped give us piece of mind on next steps. He actually showed up ahead of schedule and had quoted about 2 hours to swap it out but it took substantially less - I guess it was a relatively simple situation (water heater in garage with relatively easy access).

I then asked about a bbq gas line that was incorrectly installed (hint: stay away from Fix All Plumbing who messed it up initially) and he gave me the information I needed to fix it myself instead of doing it himself which definitely saved me some money. I followed his instructions and was able to seamlessly fix it with $30 in parts.

I find it rare to come across an honest plumber (several bad experiences), so it was refreshing to work with John. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat for the next issue we face.

John continues to be my go to plumber. He is on time and respectful, as well as reasonably charged. The plumbers that installed my water filtration device (chosen by the company, not me), told me we would have to drain all the water out of my house in order to fix a leak underneath. John did not have to do this and quoted me less. He just changed out my hardware on two sinks. For this he charges $275 to give you an idea of cost. He deserves his 5 star reviews on Yelp. :)

Owner is nice and even refunded us for the original diagnosis cost ($98); however, it was a mis-diagnosis that resulted in thousand more of costs (incurred by us). If the dishwasher problem was diagnosed correctly the first time, we would have saved ourselves substantial time and money.

My mom's water heater was making noises that were worrying her, so I finally called John to ask him to take a look. He was prompt, friendly and considerate (he wore a mask and even removed his shoes.) He flushed out some of the sediment, checked the pipes, and explained to my mom that the noises are normal and there isn't anything to worry about. (Even though I told her the same, she didn't believe me!) Anyway, I'm thankful that her mind is at ease now. John was also nice enough to check the water flow and suggest changes in order to try to improve it.

Called RJ Plumbing as a small leak was discovered on a saddle tap for my fridge. I don't like taking chances with plumbing, so I looked for an experienced professional rather than making things worse or ignoring something that needs to be taken care of right away. John came by right at the start of the 2 hr window he gave me. He was friendly and professional. He diagnosed the problem and explained to be the situation and my options. I agreed with his advice to try and take the easier (and certainly less costly) route and he was able to do a bit of work to stabilize the saddle and take off a cap and attach a water line expertly without worsening the issue. Everything was completed in about 20 minutes and I was charged only for the service call. All in all, I was very satisfied with the service provided. Recommend.

I've had John come out on two separate occasions now and both were extremely positive experiences. The first job was to replace the hardware on our pedestal sink in the downstairs bathroom. John arrived on time and quoted the job after assessing the current sink/hardware configuration. After installing the new hardware, he noticed the stopper was missing a piece required to function properly. Rather than leave it as is and call it a day, he advised me to swap it out for a working one and offered to come back the next day and finish the job.

Yesterday, I had John come back to look at my upstairs sink which had been draining slow and was now at a full clog. John advised against snaking it right away as the trap was old and could break causing an even bigger issue. He plunged the sink and was able to clear the clog in no time. He also took the time to explain the reason for the clog and gave some recommendations on possible upgrades.

I can't recommend R.J. Plumbing enough for their services.

You do not get nearly all 5 star reviews by doing anything but exceptional, honest work as a plumber. After interviewing numerous plumbers I hired John to add a washer dryer hook up and install a washer dryer unit. He did such a professional job! I was so impressed by how clean of a job he did, how kind and professional he was, and his price was reasonable and even less expensive than some other options I had. I also liked how he did not charge a credit card fee just for using a credit card, like so many merchants are doing these days and passing on what is usually a merchant cost of business directly to the consumer. So glad that in the end I chose John! Couldnt be happier with my choice and the result.

A few different people had done work on the kitchen sink in the house we're renting, and every time one problem was fixed, another one popped up. I decided to find someone on my own and found R.J. Plumbing, full of 5-star reviews on Yelp. I called on Tuesday and the receptionist said she didn't have anything available until Thursday, but she could recommend someone else if I needed service right away. I said I could wait until Thursday, and she gave me an appointment between 2 and 4. John showed up right at 2, diagnosed and fixed all the problems, and was out by 2:30. He explained everything he did and showed me that everything was working properly. The bill was far less than I expected, having had some plumbing work done in the past, and I was extremely pleased.

I am very much looking forward to finally being able to wash my dishes without having to clean up a puddle of water afterward!

What a great experience! (hard to believe I'm saying this about a clogged tub). We live in a older beach house (renting) and needed to desperately address a clogged tub. John came out and assessed that before he could do that, he needed to reseat the tub drain pipe. He gave me an estimate and said he'd be back on Monday as he needed to get the appropriate parts.

Sure enough, he showed up on time and ready to go. Within 45 min, it was all done and he even cleaned up after fixing things. He also fixed another part of the tub (diverter?) absorbing the cost into the quote. We didn't pay a cent more than was quoted. He was polite, professional and did an excellent job. And was incredibly patient with all my questions.

I would have no problem recommending him to friends, family and complete strangers. Reasonably priced and worth the time.

We're keeping his business card handy because we might need him again for this old house. :)

Needing to replace our leaking tank water heater I went to Yelp to find a local plumber and that's where I discovered 5-star rated RJ Plumbing. John Allen (owner & tech.) was extremely responsive via Yelp contact and informative as to some water heater options.

John's quote was competitive with one I had received earlier from Home Depot, but whereas scheduling a HD install would have left us without hot water for an additional 3-days John made the time to do our job the very next day. He showed up when he said he would and (echoing what others have indicated) the install was done properly and professionally.

I believe John to be an honest and reliable plumber. I would recommend him without reservation.

Our water heater was acting up and I found John from RJ Plumbing here on Yelp. He was able to set up an appointment for a couple days later and came to take a look (no charge). Our water heater unfortunately could only take their specific manufacturer part so the universal one John had could not be installed. John had us call the manufacturer to see the cost of the part and let us know what price would be worth fixing vs. installing a new heater (since our water heater was out of warranty - last company we hired to install a new heater in 2012 gave us a heater from 2009 - jerks!!). Turned out it was better to just install in a new water heater and we happily used John who was professional, timely and affordable. I would recommend him to anyone!

I searched Yelp! for a great plumber to help my dear Mom. RJ Plumbing was fully booked up for a couple of days, and Karen (in office, super great person) offered phone numbers to their competition if we needed service immediately. That was nice, but Mom's drain was just really slow, so we opted to wait for the RJ Plumbing with the super-fantastic Yelp reviews. .... Totally worth it. :-)

My Mom reports that a very tall plumber arrived who was super nice and clean & courteous, plus he was highly skilled. He cleared the drain, and replaced some fittings under the sink and made Mom feel at ease. She just knew things were going to be all right because he was so nice and competent. She said he is a thinker. He considered each part of the problem & the correct way to approach it.
And - way better than the previous lameo who couldn't fix a slow drain - RJ didn't make any mess. RJ totally solved the problem in all ways possible. We don't expect to have any more issues with Moms kitchen sink for years to come. BTW; RJ recommends against dumping cooked rice down the drain.

When it came time to pay the bill, he offered Mom a senior discount, so even including the extra parts & labor it was still not much over a hundred bucks. (Original estimate was $95) Mom was thrilled with the service, and we know who to call next time we have a plumbing issue. I can see why RJ Plumbing is booked up days in advance. :-)
This was truly a 5 star experience, that couldn't have been better.

Oh man, we would not have the beautiful remodeled bathroom without John and his wife, Karen. We took out the tub and put in a walk-in shower. They recommended a great tile guy, a hot mop guy, and a cement cutter. Everyone they recommended were extremely courteous and professional....but mostly knowledgeable about their work.

John even recommended buying a particular toilet that saved us money and known by him to be a great product. He was very truthful when we took out the tub and found four pipes that could not be moved and worked with our tile guy to come up with a great solution. John, has been our plumber for years and always does excellent work. Nice to work with, too.

Above and beyond. No wonder they have 100% five rating! I needed a gas line repaired and John was the only plumber to analyze the root cause to come up with the most efficient solution. The repair was completed in less time, with less cost than any other plumber could have done. He even found away to move around certain cabinets and a difficult lazy Susan so I didn't have to replace them AND after he was done the lazy Susan worked better than it had in years.

He has unclogged a drain, fixed a faucet, and redone a section of a bathroom sewage pipe. There's some additional work that needs to be done on the sewage pipe for our bathroom and I will be scheduling that work to be done in the future. He showed me a picture of the work to be done and explained everything thoroughly regarding what he did as a temporary fix, how long we can wait to schedule the work, and described the extent of what was to be done. We had a tile floor put in, and did not notice a small gap between the toilet wax ring and the toilet. Eventually some small amount of moisture appeared, and we called John. He immediately identified the issue, added a second ring, and was done quite straight away. He even came back just now to adjust it for us at no cost as it settled and was in need of a shim. He cleans up afterwards (rare), caulks the job (somewhat rare) and has his supplies in the truck.

John is very reasonably priced, efficient, courteous, a really nice guy and even on time! Dealing with them over the phone is also a pleasant, easy process.

He has been plumbing for many years and seems to do it all, big job or small.

All of the other reviews are right on the money. It was partially lucky timing, because he just happened to be in my area, but he arrived in about 15 minutes. I had a problem with my Rheem water heater and he was on their list of referrals. I normally use another plumbing company and have been very happy with them. Now I am going to torn about who to call first.
John even took the extra time to order the warranty part for me from Rheem. He could have just left that for me to do.

Oh John, why is your service so fantastic?! Best plumbing experience I've ever had. (I know... kinda a weird statement)

Let's be honest, We all get a little anxiety with plumbers... It's like a mechanic for your house. You have one problem and then they show up and allllllll of a sudden they disclose that your house is on the verge some catastrophic disaster... (I'm sure you can relate)

Fear not, RJ plumbing is not the same!

First, he was super respectful and removed his shoes before entering (we don't wear shoes in our house). So, super big thumbs up for that!

John was so personable, prompt, and courteous. He took his time to explain the deets before the service and recommended other options to save money.

Highly recommended. Perhaps I should break the toilet so I can have this awesome experience all over again. ;)

I selected this company from Yelp. John Allen is great - there is a reason why he has 60 plus 5 stars Yelp reviews! John came out to inspect a broke pipe - he quickly determined that was not the main sewer line,but an non-working pipe (that was never used). Great experience and reasonable price.

I heard a sound like I had left a hose running. After checking all the hoses, pool, faucets, etc the sound could still be heard from under the house. I called RJ based on the great reviews here on Yelp. It was a Friday and I really didn't have an expectation that someone would be available. As luck would have it, John had a break in another job and came over within an hour. Thank goodness he did. There was a small hole in a pipe that was shooting water non stop. John was able to put a clamp on it to stop the water. He returned the week following to replace the pipe section. It was so wet under the house it made sense to wait a few days for it to dry out.

He was very professional and transparent with everything he did. Showed me photos before the clamp was applied and even handed me the section of pipe he replaced.

I have heard so many terrible stories from friends about various local plumbers. I have told all of them to put RJ into their phone directory. Professional, clean, and honest. Plus John's wife who answered the phone was really great too. Once she heard my story she knew it was a pin hole leak and it needed to be addressed quickly. If she had not tried to see if John had a break in the other job he was working that day, I would of had to find someone else. She didn't over promise, but she sure did come through.

John was on time, fast, friendly and efficient. We called John to replace a round toilet with an elongated one. I originally told him we would purchase the toilet through him without realizing my husband had already bought one on sale at Home Depot. I was just about to call him to let him know when he rang me to confirm our appointment. He had just left the supplier with the toilet I had told him to get and I felt terrible. He was very professional and told me no worries, he would just keep the toilet in his inventory. When he arrived, he went the extra mile by unloading the toilet we had purchased out of our vehicle and carrying it to our unit. He was in and out in less than an hour which we were thrilled about. The toilet looks great and my husband is finally happy to have an elongated toilet! I guess it's a guy thing! :). I would definitely recommend John to anyone looking to get work completed. His prices were very fair and he just seems like a real down to earth guy. He is the owner/operator and we like to support small businesses.

It's funny, today I saw Mattucci Plumbing's truck drive by, and I was reminded of my experience with them and R.J. Plumbing last year, and I said to myself, I need to share this on Yelp.

I bought my house last year and discovered the water heater's pilot light igniter was failing. If I was able to get the pilot to light, it would go out after half an hour. The heater was about 7 years old.

I first called Mattucci and they sent someone over. The guy stood there, looked at the heater from afar, and told me it was a piece of junk. Without even trying to diagnose the problem or to see what might be wrong, he was pushing me to buy a brand new heater from him at an outrageously inflated price. I showed him the door.

Then I called RJ Plumbing. John, the owner, came by and immediately I could tell I made the right decision. John tried his best to fix the issue. He took apart the igniter unit, cleaned out various things, and tried for about an hour to get it to work. And it looked like he finally did. I gladly paid him for his work and he left.

A couple of hours later, the pilot went out again. I called John up and he came by again. He tried to fix it again, but he figured the igniter was beyond saving. He helped me call the manufacturer for replacement parts, but between the cost of the replacement parts and the time it would take for the parts to arrive, I decided to just buy a new one from John.

He not only gave me a great deal on a brand new water heater (cheaper than if I were to buy it myself and lug it home from Home Depot), he applied the labor fees that I paid him earlier that day towards the installation! It was a gesture that was very much appreciated.

John installed my new water heater quickly and professionally, and it has been working great.

John is very knowledgeable, very friendly, stands by his work, and very honest. Thankfully I have not had any other plumbing issues since then, but if I ever do, I would not hesitate to call him up again. Highly recommended!

By the way, as I stepped outside my door the other day, I saw his truck drive by, and John waved hello. How very nice that he remembered me!

Our bathroom faucet was leaking and our tub was draining slowly so I called this place because of all the positive reviews on Yelp. They gave me a narrow 2 hour window of arrival within one day, which was nice so I didn't have to sit around for hours waiting.
In fact, John came right on time. He was very conscientious about cleanliness, very professional, and friendly. He gave me his card at the end, and he is also the president of the company. He told me where I could get the parts I needed and he could return to replace them, since that would be cheaper than if he got the parts himself. Also, he fixed our drain. It was quick, painless, and the price was very reasonable.
I'm gonna be calling him to come back for the sink, so I will update, but I would highly recommend him for plumbing needs.

John at RJ's Plumbing rocks. 2 weeks after buying our townhouse our water heater busted. I called his office in the evening and he was at my house the next morning with a new American-made (major points) water heater. 3 months later a pipe bursts in our wall and again, he was at my house within 2 hours to assess the situation. He came back with a leak specialist after his other calls and got everything done by the end of the day.

His office assistant is very nice and on top of everything.

Trustworthy and priced-well. I asked him about some other plumbing issues and he told me how to fix it myself. Sometimes I get a little sketchy about letting in contractors when I'm the only one home, but felt totally safe with RJ's Plumbing. Makes me love living in a small-ish community.

We needed a new main shut-off valve and John of R.J. Plumbing had done a great job on a neighbor's valve replacement. It's a messy job, involving concrete demolition and a water shut-off for the whole condo complex so I wanted the work done right and on-time.

Our hot water heater stopped working Friday before a holiday weekend. I called RJ Plumbing and got the machine. He took the time to call me back to let me know he was out of town. After calls to a couple other local guys, Home Depot and even Mike Diamond Plumbing ($875 estimate with $76 service call) I came up empty. We went the whole weekend with no hot water.

Tuesday morning I started calling again, they actually cleared some time to come install a new heater, for less then Home Depot quoted.

We found out about John and R.J. Plumbing from his wife Karen who happened to be my wonderful nurse after surgery at LCM. Lucky for us, as we just had a water heater liner develop a large leak (of course it happened while we were gone). I have a good experience and would highly recommended RJ plumbing. The service are excellent and they are friendly. John diagnose the problem and give me all the options to fix my leaking faucet which I highly appreciated most people will try to get the most out of you but not with RJ plumbing. I decided to change the whole faucet and will call them once I got a new faucet and they did not charge me that day to look at the problem like most plumbers will. I love RJ plumbing and highly recommend them they never force their service they let you decide to all the options. They are friendly when you call them or during the plumbing works. They have a good price and no overcharged at all

I've just moved into the neighborhood for about a year and my guest bathroom shower was not dispensing hot water. I called RJ plumbing based on the good reviews here on Yelp. They were able to schedule a 4-6pm time slot which was convenient for me to make it home from work without taking a day off. The lady gave me a ball park estimate over the phone based on the problem I described and sure enough the final bill was spot on. So no unpleasant surprises there. John showed up right on time and he was very professional and courteous. He even asked to take his shoes off before entering the house without me asking. That is first class. He showed me what the problem was and finished fixing everything under an hour. Now my shower is working like a champ and my friends will appreciate a hot shower when they visit. I'll definitely recommend RJP to others and I wouldn't hesitate to call them back again for future work. Great job!

I called RJ Plumbing for a plumbing emergency first thing on a Monday morning. It took a couple of hours for Karen to call me back, but she was very helpful, understanding & pleasant to deal with. She scheduled two sub-contractors to come out that day - one from Eagle Eye Detections, a leak detection specialist, and the other from TFM mold & water damage.
This review deals mainly with these two gentlemen, since RJ didn't actually perform the work.

Anthony from Eagle Eye Detections showed up earlier than expected and spent a LOT of time isolating a slow leak in a pipe feeding the kitchen faucet. He was very professional, and not only found the leak, but was able to fix it on the spot for an extra charge. The only issue I have is that he hooked up an air line to the pipes to force the water out, but didn't stick around long enough to ensure that all of the air was bled out correctly. If I didn't have a basic understanding of plumbing, I would've had to have him come out a second time to figure out why the supply lines inside the toilet tanks blew off of their connections and leak onto the bathroom floors.

Thomas from TFM water damage started the cleanup immediately. Actually both of these gentlemen were done well before my insurance could send someone out to estimate the damage. Thomas is probably a little too pushy - I had to rein him in, so my agent could get a mold specialist out to assess that damage. It's apparent that he doesn't like to wait.

Judging by the previous reviews of RJ Plumbing, I'd probably call them again when another issue arises. I'm dismayed that they're only available M-F, since practically every plumbing emergency I've ever encountered seems to happen after hours and on weekends.

It is all true! John is dependable, honest, friendly and knows his stuff. I called John last night and he was at my door this morning at 10am with a smile. This guy is a true professional. He fixed our backed up clogged kitchen sink in 45 minutes and was on his way. He will not charge you an arm and a leg either. He gave us some advice on some other household plumbing issues as well. I had a problem with my Noritz tankless one morning. On the phone, John walked me through what to do but it still wouldn't work as the fix needed someone with the required expertise. Somehow I got lucky and John said he could swing over soon. I was more then delighted as he quickly zeroed into the problem and even had the right part with him on hand. Most plumbers would have to order the part. The fix was done and I now have hot water again. R.J. Plumbing is the company to go to with for all your plumbing needs! I first sent an email to John regarding our issue. He promptly responded with suggestions. When we found out the leak in our jacuzzi tub was in a discontinued heater unit, he suggested we buy it online and he would install it. It worked out perfectly for us! He was able to squeeze us in right away and even arrived early!!! I have never had a plumber arrive early. The woman who answers the phone is super friendly also. These guys are great!

I had a gas leak and the gas company shut off the gas to my house. That meant no hot water, no stove and no heat.

I called about 10 plumbers. RJ Plumbers was the only company that changed their schedule to get out to help me right away. It was also right around the holidays when all the other businesses were closed.

They fixed the problem right away and even called with a follow up to make sure everything was still in working order. They explained the issue and how they fixed it as well.

I will continue to work with these guys.

First time we used John, he checked out our situation and quoted a price much less than other plumber. His approach was repair first, replace only when necessary. He has done sinks, showers, toilets and more for us. Water or pipes get mentioned, I say Call John because I trust him and most important my wife and kids do too. Very important since he is in and out of our house; we like that he shares ideas of how to better maintain our pipes and appliances to avoid future problems. He goes above and beyond, add in great prices and fact he backs up (pun intended) his work, he runs a great business. We are glad to know he is just a phone call away if needed, thanks!

Your husband and I agreed on a price over the phone. When we missed each other on the appointment day (he didn't bother to knock loud enough), he offered to come back the following day. He arrived the next day and did his work - charging me extra for installing a German-made faucet (which I bought from Costco for crying out loud!!) and adding on a surcharge for the trip out to my house the first time. He never bothered to tell me about the surcharge over the phone or before he started work (I was already pissed at having to pay extra for him to install the German-made faucet). When I complained about not being aware of the surcharge, he stood towering over me with a threatening look. What an ###. Stay away from this rip-off artist. Patronize the hard-working, honest plumbers out there - anyone but this jerk.

Once again I had a problem-this time it was the kitchen sink. I called the office on Thursday asking for Monday appointment after 2pm. I had to leave a message, but I got a return call and Monday late appointment. Every part of John's business works like a charm. It still has a wonderful small business feel with A++ service. I was very pleased to receive the phone call with an apology and respected the fact that no excuses were made. He admitted that he dropped the ball on this (his words). Most would come up with all kinds of excuses. I had 5 different plumbers come to give me an estimate on this job and only one followed through and all of them were highly reviewed here. I don't know any more what service to trust. Home Advisor's referrals were AWFUL and the guy I hired from Red Beacon (Home Depot's referral service) was BEYOND HORRIBLE!! I had a problem with my water heater, the problem was resolved in a reasonable amount of time, and at a fair price too. John was wonderful to work with. He gave me all the options (replace vs. repair) plus took the time to call the manufacturer. The heater was still under warranty, helped order the parts, (at no price to me) and then installed the new parts the following day. He made sure the water heater was operational while the parts were being shipped. He saved me a good chunk of money with the repair and I am a very happy customer. I highly recommend RJ Plumbing and will definitely use this company again.

I called and got an appointment for the same afternoon to have my tub leak fixed and the drain cleared. John was fast, professional, clean, and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend and will use again when needed.

John at RJ Plumbing was just fantastic! Cleaned up a mess that was in our pipes under our kitchen sink that another plumber was unable to fix and did it quickly and professionally. Even fixed a toilet... no fuss, no muss! Will never call anyone else for our plumbing needs. Great work!

It's so refreshing to know there is plumber like John of RJ Plumbing that exists in this world. He is so professional and immediately made me feel like I made the right choice in hiring him to install my new dryer. I called several plumbers and RJ Plumbing was the only one who followed through in a timely manner and called me back with an estimate to install my dryer. John was on time and was done with the installation very quickly. He also saved me money on parts I had bought for the dryer, so I was able to take it back to Sears for a refund. Before he left, he also arranged for someone to pick up my old dryer for free. That was a relief since I really was not looking forward to taking care of that issue. John was personable, honest and seemed very knowledgable. An added plus is he only lives a few blocks away from me. I really liked the idea of having a plumber that I could count on. I would have no problem recommending RJ Plumbing to any of my friends.
