ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER

Greg Woolley has been a plumbing contractor in the Long Beach and surrounding areas for over 30 years. His decision to get involved with the Mr. Rooter Franchise system was due to their philosophy of serving the customer. He is a member of the PHCC and served as President of the Association for 2 years. He was voted Contractor of the Year by the PHCC in 1998.

Greg has one basic rule of business, give the customer the best service they have ever had and you will have a customer for life.

Had a bathroom sink back up. We called up Mr. Rooter and they came within a couple of hours.

Brian Lutche, the service technician, was very friendly and snaked the drain. Job was completed in about 20 minutes. Brian offered some great additional advice on maintenance. Appreciate the great service.

Toilet was backing up, everything else draining. Tech wanted to camera my lines. He wasnt willing to pull the toilet and snake the line. Camera would have solved nothing. Attached are some photos what Double J Plumbing was able to retrieve from the line.

3:00 on a Friday, tub draining SO slow, son coming to stay for a week, one bathroom!  Who is going to come out so late in the day today??? It has been our experience that we will have a very difficult time getting a plumber out at this  late hour.

Called Mr. Rooter Plumbing and within ONE HOUR they were here and done!

Their Service Technician, Tom Myers, was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and kind! He did an amazing job, very quickly, and left the area clean. He even gave us plumbing advice for the future.

We will never call anyone else. Love Mr. Rooter! Highly recommended!

Excellent customer service! We were in desperate need of our kitchen sink to be unclogged and Cameron was amazing! His professionalism is unmatched and he was extremely courteous, and knowledgeable. We called out Mr. Rooter for clogged pipes. Service Technician Tom Meyers came out with his assistant and quickly diagnosed the problem.

Tom explained the process to me and proceeded to rectify the problem.

Our kitchen sink was backed up even though we had tried every trick to unclog it. Mr. Rooter dispatched a plumber quickly on a Sunday morning. I feel so grateful to have been sent Tom Myers as our plumber. He quickly unclogged the drain, but then I also asked him a number of additional questions. He happily assessed other plumbing issues that need to be addressed in the future. He was kind, knowledgeable, honest and patient. I will not use any other service but Mr. Rooter going forward. It is so rare to get such exceptional customer service these days!

In the middle of a remodel project a I needed some work done. Price quoted was what was delivered. Showed up on time communicated well about when to expect the technician.

Recently had my second call to Mr. Rooter and they were just as responsive as the first time !
The first time was for a washer/dryer valve repair. The came the next morning, fixed the valve, and all went smoothly. More recently, I had a clogged sink. Mr. Rooter's phone operators are personable and tried to work with my tight schedule. I'm so grateful that Brian came and replaced the garbage disposal the next day!
I hate having plumbing issues, but love this company.

Mr. Rooter to the rescue again. Had a non-urgent request this time. Had Brian L. come out the next day morning, first thing. I had a clogged sink and a faucet with almost zero water pressure. Took less than an hour to assess and fix both issues. Very affordable!

My bathroom sink was draining very slow. I called my regular plumber to snake the drain but I also wanted the bathtub snaked too, just in case. My regular plumber wanted to charge over $300 to snake both drains. When we said no to that, he tried to get the money another way by saying he didn't feel comfortable snaking the drains cause of the brackets on the pipes and they would need to be replaced: $200+. We just told him to leave. I then saw Mr Rooter on yelp and decided to give them a try. Anthony came and was amazing. Snaked both drains and looked under the crawl space to make sure everything was perfect, all for less than $100. Goodbye regular plumber.

So I was having a plumbing issue and they called Mr. Roto-Rooter explain the issue I was having they stated someone would come out and view it and let me know what was needed.

1. First of all we had a gentleman show up with no mask and not very courteous he stated that the problem was in my toilet and that it needed to be removed in order to unclog it and that was gonna cost me about $500 I advised him that I just cannot afford that at the time and that we could not do the work.

2. He then stated well we could run a snake through it and see if that helps it'll only cost you 90 and if that doesn't work we can put it through your mainline and that should fix the problem that'll cost you $150.

3. It was very naïve of me to except the deal and think this was going to work after about 30 to 40 minutes of running a snake through my toilet in the mainline he said nope that didn't work you definitely need to remove the toilet and unclog it from where I told you good news is it'll only cost you an additional $350 I was like are you kidding me I was back at 500 I refused to pay 500 I paid them the 150 reluctantly.

4. And boy am I glad that I didn't pay those $500 I proceeded to look for another plumber who came and looked at my toilet gave me the same diagnosis and stayed at the other plumber should've known better if the water wasn't backing up in the tub it definitely wasn't a main issue and he was just trying to take me for my money he remove my toilet and under clogged it and the cost was only 225 If only I would've followed my gut and the first time it would it cost me $150 Extra dollars

We had a problem with a stopped up sink.  We had worked with Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Long Beach before and had good results.  I called yesterday morning, explained the problem and was told they would arrive at our house between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. and that the office would call when the service technician was on his way.  At 3:45 p.m., we got a call from Rooter plumbing that the technician was on his way and he arrived at our house at 4:00 p.m.  The technician was Brian, who we had worked with in the past and was happy with.  Brian checked the problem, told us what he was going to do and the price he would charge.  The job was completed in 20 minutes to our satisfaction.  Unlike some plumbing companies, where you are on hold for some time, we got through to the scheduler within one minute and the work has always been completed the day we called.  I will continue to call Mr. Rooter Plumbing of long Beach.  I would give this business five stars.

Had a pin hole leak in a water pipe. The technician (Danny) was out in a couple of hours. He replaced the problem pipe quickly at a reasonable price. He fully explained the work before he started and the did exactly what he described. Without any type of up selling that I have typically experienced with most other plumbing firms.

My kitchen and garage utility sink backed up. I called Mr.Rooter Plumbing and they were out the next morning. Tom, the service technician, snaked the clean out and we were up a running in l/t an hour. Tom also put a camera down my line at no additional cost. He found some things he showed me on the camera with some service suggestions down the road.  Tom was not trying to up sell me just doing a good job. This is the second time I've used Mr.Rooter Plumbing and I'm very happy with their service and pricing.

Got a clogged kitchen sink on a saturday night and they were able to get someone out the next day (when no other company could) and fix the leak.

We had also been looking for a plumber to fix some old pipes and drainage systems at our house for the last year and they were able to do it for us for an extremely reasonable price.

The technicians they sent out were incredibly friendly, fast and trustworthy. They gave us advice that SAVED us money instead of trying to upsell us.

Would recommend this company to anyone who asked.

Really appreciated finding a trustworthy plumber.

The scenario: Garbage disposal started leaking Saturday morning. Immediately get on Yelp looking for quotes. Call a couple of places. One can't give me a quote until Monday. Mr. Rooter can send a guy out today.

However, they cannot give me a quote over the phone. Not even a range of possible prices. Like $100? $200? $500?

The good: Techician (Brian) was there within an hour. Nice enough guy. Finished the install in less than an hour.

The bad: Asked for a quote. He tells me $479. I ask what makes up the number. $110 for the disposal, service call, install. No breakdown of labor, parts, taxes, service call or anything on the invoice. (Invoice attached)

So what is the labor cost? $350 an hour?

He was here, I wanted it done, so I bit the bullet and had it done. I could have, and probably should have, waited for more quotes. Maybe I pay the same price, maybe I save a hundred bucks or so. Who knows?

My suggestion to the owner is to give the client a detailed breakdown of exactly what they are paying for. I probably have a couple of thousand dollars worth of work that still needs to be done and I am not sure that I would call on them again.

My suggestion to you is to ask for a detailed quote before they start the work.

Our tube started backing up and the toilet started leaking. Mr Rooter sent  Brian L. And he worked efficiently to figure out the issue, find our clean out (we didn't know where it was) and cleared the blockage.

He was super professional, concise and clear. We appreciate his fast and friendly service! Will most definitely request Brian for future service needs.

We had a clog throughout the house and knew there was an issue with our main line. We had one highly recommended plumber in the neighborhood say he was too busy to come out but he recommended someone else. That plumber came and informed us we didn't have a cleanout so he couldn't help us. So he recommended Mr. Rooter.

Brian came out and walked me through everything. We got on the roof and he ran the camera down the air vent to the main and showed me on the monitor a tree's root ball in the city's lateral line that was blocking most of it.

He laid out some options and we decided we needed a double cleanout near the root ball to access the line out as well as into the house. He gave me a very fair price which I verified with a friend who's a contractor.

He and the team came out a few days later (the clog had been cleared and wasn't an emergency at that time) and they cut most of the root ball away but were left with a thick root that kept breaking their blades. Because it was on the city side, Brian told me how to communicate that to the city and have them maintain it from here on out.

They were all really nice and respectful, the communication was excellent, and the work was done well and efficiently. I can't recommend Mr. Rooter highly enough. In my experience it has been very tough to find a plumber who is reliable and responsive and can take the time to address the needs of a regular homeowner. I know where to go from now on.

I was visiting my Mother-In-Law in Long Beach this past week when I noticed the shower wasn't draining correctly then I found nothing was draining correctly from kitchen sink to toilets. I live in San Francisco and did not know any plumbers in the area so I googled plumbers. After looking at the great reviews for Mr Rooter, I called them. They came that afternoon and diagnosed the problem. Long story short, we ended up repiping entire sewer line. The house was built in 1941 and different additions were added on thru the years. Our tech Anthony D. explained everything they were doing and they did this big job in 1 day. I will definitely use them again for any of her plumbing needs. Anthony D. was very personable, respectable and helpful!

Manage a property and tenant called on a Saturday with a kitchen leak. Called and they were able to get a plumber out within 90 minutes.  Bryan was very knowledgeable. The owner was at first a little nervous b cause she confused them with Rotor Rooter. They are NOT the same company.  We will be using them for all plumbing issues on our properties.  PS. We were in bad need of a sewer line clearing today and contacted several companies but only Mr. Rooter was able to send a tech out right away thanks to Jasmine making it happen.

This is my second time using them and they are great! I was able to get service in less than an hour.

Danny showed up quickly and was kind, considerate, respectful and totally professional. He was amazing and knew what he was doing! I broke it, Tom fixed it!
My sink wouldn't drain and in my attempt to fix it, I broke the pipe and had a flood.
When my go to plumber, in their typical fashion,  answered on the 8th ring and told me, we have an opening next week, I knew it was time to find someone who took their business seriously. I called Mr. Rooter. True to the prior customers reviews, they responded immediately and with kindness.
Tanya, the receptionist at Mr. Rooter, understands that when told by a customer, I broke a pipe and water is leaking in my upstairs bathroom, help is needed now, not next week!

Had to get my entire house repiped due to a gas leak that couldn't be found. It was an expensive but the company tried to work with me and provided me a little discount which I appreciated. They are responsive through phone, text, and email. Andy was the guy who came out to my house and he was professional courteous. The job took 2 days, just like they advised me. I'm happy with this company. Hopefully I don't need a plumber ever again, but if I do, I'd use them again.

I have always been leery of plumbing companies, but Mr. Rooter has completely changed that for me!  They were so helpful and accommodating. They sent Tom and Tony out to our home and let me tell you, they the only two people I ever want working on our plumbing!  They are honest, thorough, and very educational.  They really cared about making sure they took care of us and didn't empty our bank accounts in the process. I have very mixed feelings about experience with them. Pros: the appointment was setup very quickly and technician came over right on time.
Cons: As for the job itself, the technician gave me one expensive option and I specifically asked if there's any other option to get it done, it's in the garage and I didn't need anything pretty or fancy. The answer was no, no other possibility. It was expensive and I decided to request a quote from another company. The other company offered me two options, the same expensive one for the same price and a cheaper, simpler alternative, 3x cheaper. I went for it and everything was fixed.
So I didn't hire mr rooter plumbing of LB because either the technician didn't know that there are other ways to get it done or they didn't disclose the cheaper option. Either way I don't appreciate it.

I had a bathtub faucet/shower that would only dribble out hot water. I had another plumber try to address the problem first. He spent 4-5 hours over 2 days and still didn't fix it, after which I called Mr. Rooter. They sent Brian L out within an hour of my call. Brian got the water running in about a 1/2 hour. And also took extra time to give me some advice about another small issue I'd been experiencing. Professional, communicative, and, most importantly, solved my problem quickly and efficiently. Worth every penny.

Our bathroom sink drain developed a leak. I called Mr. Rooter for an appointment which they were able to make in an hour. Brian L. Showed up right on time, he noticed that we do not wear shoes in our house and without asking he removed his shoes. Very nice.
He looked at the sink and gave an estimate of time and cost and then he was quickly into the repair. It didn't take him long to snake the drain line and then repair the sink drain. Brian was professional, knowledgeable, courteous. He cleaned up and I couldn't even tell he was ever there. This is the second time I have used Mr. Rooter and they did not disappoint. The lady who took my call was also a pleasure to talk to. I would not hesitate to use Mr. Rooter for all my plumbing needs. I would highly recommend them to my neighbors.

If you want a plumbing job done right, John is your man.

My guest bathroom toilet started intermittently filling the tank a few weeks ago.  Every few hours, the water would flow in and top off the tank slightly.  Not only was it annoying, but it's wasting precious water in a drought-stricken California.

I replaced the flapper myself and cleaned out the fill valve filter, but the problem persisted.  I also noticed that there's a slow leak at the supply line leading to the toilet.

Deena got back to me right away after I posted a request for estimate, and we set up a date and time.  It was raining cats and dogs that morning, and John arrived in his rain gear.  He was more than half an hour late, but fortunately I had the morning off.  He put on a pair of protective shoe covers without me asking him to do so, and we promptly got to work.

John identified the problem quickly and started replacing the fill valve apparatus because the old shut-off arm was loose.  That was the easy part.  When he found a crack in the nut of the supply line, he struggled to loosen the nut because the previous plumber tightened it excessively.  It was made more difficult because there wasn't a lot of room in the small guest bathroom to access the supply line.

After a few grunts and sweat, he was able to replace the supply line and the cracked nut.  He was persistent on doing it right rather than taking a shortcut.  It took him nearly two hours, but the end result was beautiful.

He kept his work space clean and dry, and he left my bathroom spotless.  I hated to send him out in the rain when he left, but I love what he accomplished.

The final price tag was significantly higher than what I anticipated, but I did not know that he supply line and shut-off valve needed to be replaced.  I do believe that I got what I paid for, which is nothing less than professional, honest work.

3rd times a charm and that charm is Mr. Rooter - specifically service technician, Chris Martin! We have called out 2 other local plumbers (1 who said we needed to replace our bathroom sink pipe and 1 who didn't even show up) and Mr. Rooter fixed all our issues in about an hour!
The company took my call at 9am, confirmed they would arrive by 2pm, sent text message updates, were COVID safe and most importantly FIXED our low pressure bathroom sink and snake our shower!

Our kitchen sink and dishwasher were not draining. We called Mr. Rooter after hours to see if we could get a next day appointment. The person took my info an promised to reach out first thing in the morning for any availability. As promised I received a call with our scheduled time. They even called me again before my appointment to see if I wanted an earlier service as one had opened up. Our service technician was Danny Meza and he was STELLAR. I had an issue with my toilet coming off its mount, and my plumber investigated the cause and caught several of my drain lines corroded and leaky. He was able to provide a temporary fix for the toilet, then came back the next day to replace the faulty plumbing. All in all, they did a great job!

I've been using these folks for years and have never been disappointed. Some big jobs, some little jobs, and today turned out to be no job. I saw what appeared to be a possible leaking pipe outside as it had gunk, if I may use the technical term, around the connections at the trap. Really didn't know what to make of it, so I called Mr. Rooter. They sent technician Danny Meza who was here within a couple hours of my call, as promised. He took one look at the gunk and said Hhmmmm. I asked what was wrong, and he said Absolutely nothing. He knocked the gunk off, assured me it was simply condensation and moss, and went on his way. I call these folks back every time because I KNOW they're not going to take advantage. If there's a problem they fix it. If there's not a problem, they never tell me otherwise. Timing is everything.  My sister and husband and their son were visiting first time from out of state, as one leg of Southern California vacation.  Since they were eating out a lot while traveling I offered a home cooked meal, a cookout which they welcomed.  Of course, this is when the kitchen sink clogs up -- while preparing dinner.  When they left for hotel, I called Mr Rooter Plumbing of Long Beach which, by chance had cancelation, and could send someone over first thing following morning, Saturday.  Kudos  to Greg Woolley who responded so quickly and professionally, diagnosing and recommending repair.  Greg returns for scheduled appointment with Tony Daniels.  New ABS required one side of old part of house, so, decided to replace both sides of old part of house -- a big job.  These guys were so professional and proactively making sure not to track dirt and grime inside the house while accessing the crawl space, keeping their movements to a minimum and being quiet as possible, since two of us were working from home.  Although, they did have to jack-hammer through a recently-poured concrete, the front drive/patio area,  since we agreed to go ahead and put in a new clean out.  I was horrified at the thought of demolishing the concrete.  But, by the time completed it was as if there were never a hole or a patch.  Their finish-work was seamless.  By the way, it was the local parish priest down the street who referred Mr Rooter Plumbing of Long Beach because of the good experience he had for a recent major repair.  I've updated my contacts and now they are top of my list to call or refer if need.

I called last night to see when availability was and received a phone call this AM. I must admit, i'm finally off from work so i decided to sleep in. I called back and got a hold of Dina. Since she left a voicemail, i figured she would be interested to see what my problem was. As i started explaining, she cuts me off and starts asking basic questions regarding my house and self. No questions about the actual problems yet. I asked sorry, what do you need all this info right now for?. She kindly replies with a smart question by asking a question: well, do you want me to send you a technician?. No thanks Dina. I would like to deal with professionals, not condescending individuals. I'm not stupid, i know you'll need the info at some point. Just wondering why my address, house type and personal info were so important before hearing the actual problem. And if it was, a quick 2-4 sentences would have sufficed.

We are return customers with Mr Rooter and will continue to be. We have a tankless water heater which needed service, ie flush and new filter. I called on Wed morning and Brian showed up Thursday morning. Our filter is not readily available and while he was flushing the system he made a few phone calls and found a supplier who had what we needed. He then drove there picked it up and installed it. I'm so pleased with their customer service. The office gives you an estimated time of arrival and also calls to tell you your technician is on his way. I highly recommend this company and thank Brian for a job well done and highly appreciated.

Mr. Rooter has serviced my rental house multiple times. Different plumbers have come; they've all been good. They have fixed almost all of my plumbing problems, except when I wanted to replace a leaking tile shower (which needed a whole new shower pan and they would have rather installed a fiberglass type shower). They have removed clogs, fixed supply line valves, replaced cast iron pipe with modern drain pipe, replaced faucets, soldered new pipes; they are competent, good, pretty clean, and friendly (including the office/reception staff on the phone). I appreciate their work and their prices are reasonable. There was one time I had to call them on a warranty, and they came and fixed the issue and didn't charge anything extra, fulfilling the warranty. Cool.

One time I called another plumber/company to clear a clogged shower drain. They had a coupon, wow, so cheap. I wasn't there for the work, maybe it would have been different if I had been.  The plumber tried to snake the drain, but couldn't completely clear it and the shower was draining slow still. He said that the snake couldn't get through the p-trap and the snake was going through the vent, and there was no clean-out to snake through. All possibly true. His fix was going to require removal and replacement of the whole tub.

Wait, what? No.

This is a clogged shower, not a catastrophic plumbing failure. Mr. Rooter had snaked that very same shower before, a shower which was only 3 years old. This may be a shower in a rental, but I was not going to replace a shower already, at least not without a second or third opinion. I sent that other plumber home, called Mr. Rooter up again and they came. I came to the house too, to watch. Chris tried a couple times and had some trouble and would have liked to use a clean out, but on the third try he was able to clear the drain.

That's quality service and honesty. Thank you.

This company has a good service by keeping you updated with time and appointment. I needed to get 2 laundry valve replace and technician came out and gave me a estimate of $328. Way overpriced. I declined the service and while the technician is leaving told me good luck so I called other plumbing company and they came out and got it done for $180. Week later I got a written estimate of $238 from mr.rooter. if your technician gave me that price while he was at my house I would have done the service.  I would only use this place if it's really really emergency. I would highly recommend get a second opinion if it's not emergency.  It seems like this company does not have price structure so technicians will give you whatever price they feel like.

I called on a 4th of July weekend and they responded right away. My technician, Brian, came out at no extra charge on Saturday. I was communicated with often to let me know his arrival time. I contacted Mr. Rooter to clear a sink drain in one of my rentals.  The tech arrived a little late which was not an issue for me.  He cleared the drain without any problem.  My only complaint is the price. $156.  Yes,  he quoted the price in advance but I manage 5 houses and don't have time to haggle.  I have come to find that the going rate for this type cleanout is about $75.  I believe that they had $79 on their website.  I asked the tech about that and he said that mine didn't qualify for that rate.  It took him about 15 minutes, start to finish.  My suggestion would be to get a quote in advance.  And yes,  I realize that it would only be an estimate as some jobs turn out to be more complex.

I noticed my faucet water was not coming out hot as usual.  I checked my water heater which was still hot but could not figure out why I was not getting hot water.  I called Mr. Rooter to check it.  The technician Danny came  out and identified the Taco hot water circulator not working.  He also found the cold water intake valve to my water heater was not shutting off properly.
The next day Danny and his helper replaced the hot water circulator with an upgraded Grundfos circulator pump, replaced the defective cold water valve, and flush a lot of sediment from my water heater.  The hot water is back on!  Danny gave me clear explanations of the problem and what needed to be fixed.  He gave me a fair price for his work and expertise.  He finished on time as promised.  No attempt was made to up sell me a new water heater which I did not need.  I am happy with his work and would use him again.

We had an untimely backup in our main sewer drain during the most rainy week this month!!! We thought it would be a long shot to get a plumber out to come out to our plumbing emergency....but lo and behold we reached out to Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Long Beach and within the hour, Tom M. was here to help us!

The rain was not an issue for Tom and team and we had two clean outs installed and voila....problem solved!

Brian and his parter completed this job for us.   We're installing a sink in the garage laundry room.   Brian installed the rough plumbing (drain and supply) lines in about 3 hours.   He also provided a quote for the final work but when I said we'd do those hookups he made sure to keep things simple for us.  This saved us some money!   This is the second job Mr. Rooter performed for us and I would definitely use them again.

I like the fact that Mr. Rooter plumbers have access to tools back at the shop that smaller outfuts wouldn't have... Incredibly professional and efficient! Called on Saturday for a leaky pipe and they were out Sunday to fix it. Our service technician, Tom Myers, was fantastic. He was able to answer all our plumbing questions, even the ones that did not pertain to the current job.

With COVID-19 it can be a little concerning to bring a stranger into your house, but Tom wore a mask the entire time and we kept as much distance from each other as possible.

Will definitely call Tom when we look to re-pipe the house!

I'm grateful Danny was able to come so quickly.

Didn't seem like an easy job but also felt like a pretty quick attempt at being upsold to a much larger project. I'm going to be seeking bids, regardless they came, got it done, and were generally nice throughout.

UPDATE: So, 2 days later and the same symptoms that ultimately led to my sewage backup were happening again. I called, because surely a service company would want to make sure the work they did was complete, and a service manager would not approve coming out to look at the work. Must just be a bit old school that if you pay the extra to get the more full service of the hydro jetting that you'd anticipate they'd come back 2 days later if a problem comes up. I found another trusted local rooter business who will be handling my issues from now on. If Mr.Rooter decides to help me out and verify their work I'll come back and review, for now I'd say unless you want to be upsold or in the same position without any meaningful warranty to address it (which surprisingly was not in any of the notes of the tech) then maybe find someone you can trust to come back out and make sure what is paid for is what you get.

UPDATE #2: Not sure if it was my multiple calls or this yelp review, but ultimately a courtesy revisit was done to verify the scope of work needed. Verified by a different plumber, and ended up getting the work done elsewhere (other plumbers contacted were surprised at what I was quoted and happy to match scope of work and beat the price). I was appreciative of the revisit although the attitude of the service was unpleasant or annoyed.

Being put in the position to feel bad about expecting work to last longer than a week, or feeling like I was sold a very expensive band aid that the plumber knew would not resolve the issue are both frustrating options. I did receive a call today (11/15) to talk about this review and said they'd try better to deal with customer satisfaction so take that for what it's worth. I think even the follow up is worth an extra star, but the approach to me as a customer was very different after having to write a full and honest yelp review than it was when I was just needing help.

I have used these folks several times.  Being a property manager, things come up.  The other day a tenant called me and told me she didn't have hot water.  Of course it turns out to be a water heater.  Danny arrived on time, did a great and quick job.  His work was seamless and he worked with me on getting everything done on his same visit.  They saved me time and I am going to call them for future repairs and installs first on the next thing that comes up.  Danny was also overall 5 stars+.

It was a Sunday afternoon and I had noticed that since returning from a trip back East a few weeks ago, my shower was draining slow.  So, slow, that I thought I would be able to swim in the shower.  So I called a Nationally known firm.  They came out and wanted $450.00 to snake the drain.  At first I thought, what the hell? and then I thought for $450.00????....Hell no  So I called Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Long Beach.  Within 30 minutes (did I mention this was a Sunday afternoon?) Danny arrived, tools in hand and ready to make my drain problems a distant memory.  And sure enough, within 15 minutes, drain clear and ready to shower again.  Besides the excellent (and rapid ) response, the price was totally reasonable.  Great service and a reasonable price (did I mention that this was a Sunday afternoon?).  What a great deal!!  Thanks Mr. Rooter and thank you Danny!

The plumber arrived a little early, and was very professional.  The quote for snaking a drain shared by 2 bathroom sinks was high, IMHO, but it had to be done asap so I chalked it up the the one of the joys of home ownership.  He pointed out that one of the sinks had undersized drain connections under the sink, and this could slow the flow I should consider replacing a few components.  He showed me and he was right, and since he was there and had the components I had him upgrade it.

The quality of the plumber made this a Win-Win.

I called on Sunday for a job and I got scheduled right away. I had two jobs that needed to be completed. Danny was the service technician, he was very helpful and great customer service. I could not have been happier with my whole experience with Mr. Rooter. They kept me updated on my order status, what time I could expect a tech to be at my home, and after a call letting me know their Tech could arrive even earlier than expected Tom arrived and quickly took care of my clogged kitchen drain. Tom, who was both very friendly and professional, explained everything clearly, I never felt any up-sale pressure on anything (as I've experienced with other plumbers) and he even took time to wash down my patio (where the cleanout is located) after cleaning the drain. He also gave me advice to help avoid drain issues in the future. And all of this service was for a very affordable price.

I will be using Rooter Plumbing for all of my plumbing needs in the future.

A leak developed under the kitchen sink and they repaired it the same day. Chris replaced a jury rigged faucet for a price that was of what I'd been charged just  replace an outside faucet last month. They are efficient and fair priced. Not every Long Beach plumber matches them.

My kitchen sink was clogged so Mr Rooter responded to my Yelp request.  They sent a tech who was extremely friendly.  He tried to clear the sink pipe with a snake.  Wasn't successful. Said he would have to hydro jet it. But that process would be very expensive.  Said he would have to make a hole in my wall. Would take several hours to complete project. Work does not include stucco job to cover hole in wall. Total cost $1440.00. That's with a 10% discount if I gave a positive Yelp review. Again,  very friendly individual saying his estimate was a deep discount from regular cost. Since he felt bad. He would do the stucco work for free. The high cost concerned me so I called another plumber.  He tried to clear clog with snake at first.  Didn't work so he did have to use a hydro jet to clear the drain. No hole in wall needed. No an all day project.  Took about 45 minutes to complete the job. Final cost $380.00. Lesson of the day. Get multiple estimates especially if one is from Mr Rooter.

My toilet was clogged. I used Drano and Hot Water. But  it was still clogged the water drained really slow. I used the almost 2 bottles of Drano and it did nothing. I finally gave up and decided to call a Plumber. I called a few different plumber and the rates were all different. Then Mr Rooter quoted me $79.

Chris came by and he auger the toilet. Good thing it was only a simple clogging to do. He came in with a mask and he was out in about less than 5 minutes.

He was so efficent and got right to business. My toilet is now unclogged!

I was having kitchen sink issues for a few days in which we tried numerous solutions to fix the issue. After having no luck, I yelped plumbing near my area and Mr rooter was the first to respond. They notified me someone would contact me the day off between 8:00-8:30am the day off to set up the time arrival. The day off I received a phone call around 8:10am to notify me that they would arrive between 12:00-2:00pm. (i requested noon which was perfect). Upon arrival (roughly before 1:00pm), a gentleman by the name of Danny Meza arrived with his mask on & was courteous to the Covid 19 regulations. He diagnosed the problem at no charge & then offered me the price it would take to resolve the issue. After agreeing at the reasonable price given, Danny got to work and had the issue fixed in no time. He also recommended tips on how to further avoid the issue. I wish I would've called them sooner. Several months ago our kitchen sink was backed up. We didn't know who to call until we saw that Mr. Rooter had a coupon. Why not, huh? They came and did a great job.

Had Mr. Rooter come out again and do a trench-less replacement of my main sewer line in lakewood. Shai and Keith were again great and professional. It has been about a month since the replacement and no issues. The even cut through a piece of concrete and expertly patched it up. What was great was since this was a multi-day job they always left me with a connection for the sewer so I didn't have to go through any night without a bathroom.

It's great to know that I wont have any critical plumbing issues in the future. Thanks again to the whole team.

They saved me when me and my tenant was in a bind due to another company providing poor/ horrible service. Called then late morning and told them the issue I had with the shower valve. They had someone out for the place within 2 hours. He was nice called me (owner) to tell me all that the was going to do and what the cost would be. Wow! I called them, and they came within the hour.

When they asked for my address they had mentioned the prior homeowners name (we're the new owners of the house). Which was good, because it meant that the prior owner used the same service!  

Anyway, dude came in and fixed our clogged toilet in like 2 minutes.  $79 gone in two minutes. But shoot, it's worth it. I don't think anyone wants to clean human crap, dog crap, and a mix of other things for more than a minute!

This was on a Saturday. I called several people/companies some went to voice mail. Some gave estimates that I found kind of high. Some said they were closed and to call on Monday. When I called Mr. Rooter, Deena picked up said a technician was available.
Tom arrived on time and ready to work  he tried to accomplish the task that we asked of him. Tom said the piping had two dissimilar metals and couldn't be repaired in its present condition.
Tom recommended a solution that we took into consideration and that we had until 5p.m. We called a little after 5 and got the voice mail left a message.
Deena called me Sunday morning saying she was going to send the invoice to my email.
Without Deena and her manager's help we would have been without water for several days. Thank You TeamMr Rooter.
Tom (Meyers) arrived at noon and the work was done in two hours. Cosmetics would follow in the coming days. AGAIN!!!

We had a backed up outdoor drain and so I called Mr.Rooter because I had used them in the past. Andy our technician arrived on time and he got to work right away. He diagnosed the problem with a camera which was a root ball that broken through the drain pipe. He tried  using the snake to break it up but it was a bit to big so he suggested using the hydrojet machine and I agreed. Long story short Andy did a great job and we were completely satisfied with Mr.Rooter. I would definitely recommend them.

Amazing service, Chris was able to help us with our drainage problems, sewage was backing up and we needed help ASAP since the clog was really difficult for just a snake, he knew what the problems was, he even used a camera to check to make sure everything is going down properly. Service Technician Brian Lutche services what was one the most awful experiences of my life. My toilet overflowed and flooded  my floors downstairs. I called two 24 hours Plummer's, and Mr. Rooter was the first to return my call. Within 15 minutes Brian was at my door. What I thought would cost me thousands, cost $99.00.

From my initial contact and especially the Service Technician Brian Lutche provided professional, courteous, and excellent  customer service.

My line backed up after doing a couple loads of laundry. Deena was able to send a plumber very quickly. Brian did a great job I really felt like he took the time to snake and clear the line. He used a camera to also see what was causing the backup. Big trees at the street seem to be the culprit but got great service to get it cleared at a reasonable price.

We've been using the same plumbers for over 5 years.  But last week - Dec 27th to be precise we had an emergency situation when we realized our sewer line was blocked.  I put a call into our usual plumbing Company and received a voice message saying they were closed for the holidays and to leave a message.  There was no emergency contact option provided.  So I left a message.  But our problem was such that I couldn't rely on a VM so I checked out Yelp and found Mr. Rooter.  It was now 8pm on the 27th but I still reached someone!  They said someone would call me at 8am the next day and we would be the first call.  Sure enough, they called me at 8am and their technician, Andy Carrillo was here at 830am.  It was a serious problem that took all day to fix.  And to add to the drama, that was the same day as a thunder storm blew through SoCal.  That didn't faze the Mr. Rooter team who worked through the torrential rain into the dark.  But in the end, our problem was solved for a reason cost.  As for our old plumbers, they never called back.  Mr. Rooter is now our new go-to plumber.  Thank you Andy!

I was very pleased with Mr. Rooter, from the person who booked my appointment, to the technicians who arrived to do the work.  The technicians arrived within the timeframe they said they would.  They both put on shoe booties before coming into my home.  They were very friendly and professional. Great service! I was using a different plumber who was fine, but decided to give Mr. Rooter a try after getting a coupon in the mail.

I really appreciated the quality of their service. My phone call was answered right away, and they were very flexible with scheduling. On the day of, I received two calls - one with a 2 hour estimate, and one a few minutes before they arrived. My receipt was in my inbox within 90 minutes of the service being finished.

Prices were reasonable for the simple work we had done, and the plumber himself was very nice. They don't appear to charge by the hour, so everything is done quickly and to a high standard.

I Called Mr. Rooter, With in an hour Jim R. came out to fix my leak
under the kitchen sink. He told me they had a free inspection for
sewer leaks, he took the scope down the pipes, I noticed some
crack on the pipes & some build up. I decided to have the pipes fixed.
Jim explained what they would be doing. Set up the appointment for
the next day. Workers arrived on time & was very polite & explained
what needed to be done, step by step. They had no problems of me
watching them do the job. The major work was done that day & they

I had a few different issues in our bathroom - super super low water pressure with the cold faucet, hot and cold were installed on the wrong sides and the bathtub had been draining very slowly over the past couple months. I called Mr. Rooter and they came out same day and they also offer a free quote (which is harder to find than you think). I believe  I called 5 different local plumbers found on Yelp and I already liked Mr. Rooter because they were willing to offer a free in home quote. Chris Martin came out and was extremely professional, very nice and very fast! I had been putting off the water pressure issue for literally years, and if I had known it was that easy I would have done it a long time ago. Not only all that, but from all the other quotes I was able to get over the phone - Mr. Rooter was about $100.00 cheaper than I think 3 others just for the drain unclogging service. We definitely saved a ton of money going with Mr. Rooter and we will 100% refer them to anyone who ever asks me about a plumbing issue and will definitely be using them in the future! Found Mr Rooter on google and saw the great reviews. Boy am I glad I did, because Brian was the best. He was super knowledgeable and went above and beyond my expectations. We have an old house and we have hired a few different companies for problems we've had. None of them seemed to want to figure out the root of the problem. They just wanted to do a quick fix. When I called Mr Rooter this morning they were closed.  To my surprise I got a call when they opened first thing. They immediately said they would send someone out. Andy arrived asked what my issue was and immediately got to work. I made an appointment by phone 8 days ago.  At that time they promised me a phone call around 8am today. They called me at 8am this morning and presented me with an 8:30am to 9:30am window. I am ecstatic!!! I thought that we would be in repair mode for my upstairs bath drain for months due to a previous estimate/prognosis from another company. I contacted Mr. Rooter because of the Yelp reviews and was very happy I did.  Only needed to have a leak detection service done because my plumber does not perform detection services. The technician, Greg, was very personable and let me know what he was doing and what he found out. And since he could not totally pinpoint where the leak was he gave me a discount on the service. He did provide me with an estimate on the fix, even though I have my own plumber, and he explained how he would do the repair, which lined up with what my plumber had said he was going to do. The estimate he gave me was a reasonable one, one that I would have considered if I did not have a plumber. Of the three estimates I received this one was in the middle. I would consider contacting Mr. Rooter in the future.

It's not easy to find an honest plumber, especially one that will come at 2 am. The technician mistakenly charged us for an unnecessary procedure because he could not see the clean out in the dark. I (homeowner) phoned Mr. Rooter the next morning and explained that the tenants had been overcharged. The management called back within an hour and we settled on a very fair price. Done. No argument. No questions.

Prompt answer by a live person, immediate appt, a call back to let me know the tech is on his way (less than 5 mins after making the request), professional and clean technician, patient explanation and up front cost (no cost for assessment), and clean afterwards. Tech was at my door less than 30 mins from the initial phone call! What business can do that nowadays?!! That's more than I expected.  (They said a tech will be here in 2 hour window. That's impressive to begin with). I called another network of plumbers prior to calling here and they couldn't even tell me whether or not what will cost me to have a look.
This place is definitely on my list. I recommend this place. I don't know about other Mr. Rooter places but this one is a keeper. Thank you Andy and Mr Rooter for the job well done and so quick!

I had busted shower handle that needed to be replaced on Sunday morning. I called Mr. Rooter and within 15-20 minutes a plumbing tech (Tom M.) was at my door. He carried himself with great professionalism and explained my options, the issue ended up being a little tougher than I expected which would've been a nightmare if I would've tried to do it myself. Fast response, and good price.  I got the yelp discount which made this an ultra affordable visit.  They showed up on a Sunday within 2 hours of calling.  The problem was fixed within 15 minutes.  If I had the equipment, I could have done it myself, but who wants to spend $500 for the occasional drain stoppage?  That's why you call a plumber!!

I wasted my entire morning waiting for a plumber that never showed up. They did not even bother to call me to let me know they were not going to be able to make it. I wish I had read the reviews this business has but unluckily I did not do that and I am still paying the price. If you do not mind waiting for plumber that do not show up to work and do not care about their clients then Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Long Beach is the company you want to call to take care of your plumbing needs.

Mr. Rooter of Long Beach is great!  When my sewer backed up on a Sunday evening, I called Mr. Rooter for help.  The owner, Greg, called me back right away and let me know that all of his technicians were already booked for the evening but that they could get someone out first thing in the morning.  I agreed and Brian arrived Monday morning, exactly as promised.

Brian was very professional and thorough.  He quickly and methodically diagnosed the problem and showed us exactly what was causing the issue on camera.  In our case, the connection from the house sewer line to the line in the street had come apart (the connection is nearly 50 years old so it was not overly surprising).

Brian and his partner had to remove a section of the driveway apron and dig a large, 6 foot deep hole to reach the connection.  They rebuilt and reconfigured the connection to remove the stress that had caused the failure.

Brian and his partner also did a thorough job of cleaning up when they were done.  They even went so far as to clean the neighbor's driveway and the street.

In short, Mr. Rooter did a fantastic job in all respects from promptly returning calls, to sending a knowledgeable, skilled and efficient crew, to cleaning up the site and leaving it better than they found it.  To top it off, I thought their price was very fair for the amount of work performed.

You can't ask for more.  These guys are the best.

My shower started backing up and I had almost 4 other plumbers fix the problem. Finally I called Mr Rooter and they sent out Brian, who was extremely professional. He even put on boot covers to come in to my home. He snaked my drain with a heavy duty snake, then he even put a camera down my drain to identify what was a larger issue that I never would have found with out his diagnosis. Needles to say I'll be calling them back and asking for Brian.

I have had an issue with my tub.  Called me. Customer service is not well trained. Was given an appointment time and was called during the appointment time only to be asked how many units were in my condo building. Then I was informed that they do not service buildings that have more than 10 units. Total waste of time. Make sure to be specific when calling!

It's the day after Christmas; times have definitely been difficult this year and today's water supply leak on one of my pipes located outside was icing added to the cake. Thankfully I got ahold of Mr. Rooter and a service tech was sent out right away. Forgot the name of the lady who provided awesome customer service over the phone but she was very helpful and attentive. Within 30min Nelson Hernandez arrived and I showed him the issue. He was very friendly, straight forward, walked me thru the steps on what needed to be done, honest, and just got straight to work. During the repair he notified me of a concern that may potentially cause damage to a separate area from what was being repaired. The area of concern was ok and he proceeded to repair the initial area. He performed the task in a timely manner and fixed the leaking/damaged pipe. Thank you again for repairing this issue and I will definitely be doing business again in the future.

Our technician, Andy, just left and I have to say he did a great job! We had a clogged shower drain, a toilet that wouldn't stop running, and a rusted overflow plate cover that could not be reattached. Andy came, diagnosed the problems, and explained the process for repair on each item. The work was finished in half an hour and he was out the door without any mess left behind. Andy was COVID-19 prepared, and gave great detailed information. Will call again for future work.

Today the plumber from Mr rooter arrived  on time like scheduled. He then introduced himself (Brian Lutche),like a professional he proceeded to explain what he needed to do to fix are clogged problem. As he was working he explained in detail what was the problem and recommended what we needed to do to keep from having the same issue from recurring. Purchased 2 new toilets that needed to be installed. Called asking for a quote and they were able to provide it over the phone, unlike 3 other plumbers that insisted they had to be there to provide an estimate on a standard job. Mr. Rooter was able to provide same-day service on a Sunday! They sent out John F., who was great! He was efficient when it came to assembling, removing the old, and installing the new. John was thorough and clean. He even hauled away the old toilets and the big boxes they came in. Brian from Mr. Rooter was great.  I moved into my place recently and had some issues with a toilet.  Mr. Rooter sent someone Brian out same day and diagnosed potential problems.  He wasn't pushy and didn't recommend unnecessary repairs going with a conservative trial that saved us money.  Will definitely call them again for any future issues.

Called Mr. Rooter to check out a potential clog and sewage backup in a newly purchased home. Brian came out the next day and conducted a thorough check and told me that there was nothing wrong (very honest), but explained that I had a potential issue due to the incorrect pipes/fittings used to connect to the city's sewer lines. Gave me an estimate for that and walked me through a potential tankless water heater for my new home. He was very knowledgeable and I will be reaching back out for sure.

The fast response to my drain stoppage pleasantly surprised me. The Tech, Brian Lutche, arrived sooner than I expected and got down to business right away. He provided me with a very reasonable quote, then opened up the kitchen drain and finished by replacing the trap. All this happened in under two hours from the time of the initial telephone call to Mr Rooter. The quick response to my drainage problem was much appreciated. I will not hesitate to call Mr Rooter should I experience another plumbing issue in the future (and I hope they send Brian).

Had a problem with my back bathroom. Anytime we took a shower the back bathroom would fill up. I called rooter plumbing at 3:30 and they dispatch someone in an half and hour and he fixed the issue and gave a recommendation to me on a few other things with my pipes which was something cool. Andy came and did the initial call.  Snaked the main and discovered some more problems.  Upsold me on a water pressure clean and this is where the problems started....  and I thought Andy was very professional. when Greg the manager shows up.  Started the pressure clean and then says, I can do it because of a partial collapse of your pipe... but you still need to pay for me time... Huh?  He does not even come close to completing the job (he did not do any of the high pressure water clean at all) and expects me to pay for his time?  At the end of the day, I still agreed to pay more than what the original quote was and this left a dirty taste in my mouth.  Bait and switch?  

I pay for results, not for effort.  The main was snaked all the way to the sewer, and so it wasn't my issue when the pressure machine couldn't make it through... and I still need to pay for Greg's effort?  Please.   Problem is... this is Greg's business and if he wants to run it this way, watch out.  

Everybody be cautious to the bait and switch and its even worse when I was switched to nothing.   This was a very disappointing experience.   There are many options out there -this should not be your first option.

Follow on amendment to the initial report.  After receiving an estimate to do some work, I solicited bids from other plumbers to do the same.  Other plumbers were far more professional and even did the assessment for free, which Mr. Rooter charged me $125 to do.  The real kicker is Rooters quotation for the job was DOUBLE what the other plumbers quoted!  Stay away!!

Had a main sewer drain blockage. I called Mr Rooter, and asked if they could give me a ballpark cost based on the information I told them which was that I had a main sewer block.  The lady on the phone told me it most likely would run $75-$99, but that the tech would confirm the price once onsite.  Well the tech came onsite and I got a price of $175, double of what I was told.  That is just the beginning.  The rooter they used was only one blade about two inches long where it should have been two blades four inches long.  

Now here's the kicker.  They used a camera and told me my sewer line had separated in multiple locations and that the blockage they couldn't totally clear was ON MY PROPERTY and that it cost $7000 to repair.  Getting a second opinion, I had Beach Plumbing come out and they re-rooted the sewer drain and used a color camera and showed me that there was only one break in the pipe, but that it was 4 feet from where Mr. Rooter told me and it was on city property so it was NOT my problem, it was the city's!!!  I almost just got scammed $7000.  No thank you Mr. Rooter!!

UPDATE: 07/26/17 The owner contacted me and discussed my review of their service.  He said he would refund my second re-rooting of $250 if he could prove that their supervisor was incorrect in his expert opinion of where the sewer break was located.  I had another company J&J Plumbing come out and install a clean-out (did a great job at a very reasonable rate) at the exact location Mr. Rooter had told me I had a break and to no surprise of mine, there was no break on my property which was later confirmed by the City of Long Beach.  BTW I did not get the $250 refund promised, but Mr. Rooter did refund their complete service charge of $100.

I phoned MR. ROOTER.  Pipe extraordinaire Keith Maeir & Alberto Cornejo started the 4-day sewer line replacement & finished it on THREE DAYS! They showed up @ my home with more expensive equipment than a major film studio!...They gave me credit for the diagnostic fee paid & I NEVER HAD TO CALL THEM back for a rework! Our bathtub and toilet were bubbling and starting to fill up, the Lady who answered the phone which I believe was Tanya, was very helpful and friendly. She let us know a tech (Brian L.) would be there soon. As soon as he arrived he greeted us warmly as we showed and explained to him the issue. I love asking questions to get a better understanding and he answered them all and explained things where I would get it. My wife said don't worry about the mess it's Sunday and she has to clean he insisted and left the bathroom looking even better than she does. All in all I'm very fortunate to have him come out and assist, I highly recommend this place for everyone.

John came out to the house to help us with a leak. Her was very pleasant and didnt mind us asking questions while he repaired the faucet. He seemed to be very knowledgeable and had the faucet fixed before we ended the conversation. He even informed us on some newer parts that should last a while longer than what we currently had. Saturday morning I jumped into the shower to start my day.  The next thing I know the bathtub next to the shower started to backup.  I called Mr. Rooter in Long Beach at 8:10 AM and asked if they had someone who could come by.  Within one hour Shai and his trainee Grant were at my door.  While Shai worked clearing the clog, Grant did a thorough check of all my plumbing inside and out.  I was very impressed with the work and even more impressed with their attention to detail.  They were fast, clean and ever so polite.  Hats off to Shai, what a great technician, and also his associate Grant.  Thanks for doing such a great job.  Let me add that the cost was less than expected!

I called Mr. Rooter on Sunday for a clean out drain issue. They answered promptly and told me if there were any cancellations, they would send a technician on Sunday at no extra charge. On Monday morning, a dispatcher from Mr. Rooter called me at 8:00AM and told me a plumbing technician would be arriving between 8:30 - 9:30. The technician they sent Chris Martin, arrived on schedule at 9:00AM ready to tackle my drain issue. He was prepared, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. After Chris started snaking my cleanout drain, he said I had an issue with roots growing in to the pipes and a couple of offsets. He then ran a scope down the drain and showed me where the roots were causing a problem. After
Chris was finished, he gave me estimates on getting a Hydro Jet service to chop up the roots and on installing a new liner to the sewer main. I'm very pleased with the service, the price and the professionalism I received from my technician Chris Martin. I recommend Mr. Rooter for anyone with plumbing issues and repairs.

Woke up to 3 clogged toilets and sewage backed up in showers and bathtubs.  Called Mr. Rooter and Andy showed up in less than 2 hours.  Found massive tree root clog blocking sewer line.  Andy called for help and Keith and Alberto showed up within the hour and started digging through 4' of hard Long Beach clay soil.  But knowing we could not use toilets or any other water, they stuck with it and by that evening had pipe replaced and toilets working again.  Keith returned the next day and did a perfect job of patching the concrete driveway.  The guys were very neat, hauled away all debris and left everything clean, like they'd never been there. Tanya in the office was very accommodating in breaking out the costs of various operations of the total job as requested by my insurance co.  The insurance adjuster reviewed the invoice, said the charges were reasonable, and approved reimbursement.  I will definitely call Mr. Rooter again but hopefully not too soon!

I'm a little confused as to how this company is run, but I made a call in to report a gas leak. The dispatcher told me that they would send out a technician to diagnose the issue then determine what repairs need to be made. When the technician came, he did NOT diagnose the issue.. He simply gave me an estimate costing $583.32 to diagnose the issue!!!

So now tell me, what's the point of sending out a technician and wasting your company resources when he didn't diagnose the issue in the first place?

Update.. Greg called and apologized and worked with me on the issue. I ended up going with another company, but at least he tried to rectify the mistake his team members made.

We recently had a very difficult stoppage in our main sewer line.  Mr. Rooter was able to send a plumber out the same day.  Brian Lutche, the service technician was polite, professional, and above all persistent.  The stoppage took numerous efforts to clean out completely.  Throughout the process, Brian explained what he was doing, showed us the video of the problems that were encountered, and continued with multiple efforts to clean the line.  Brian also discussed multiple long-term options to prevent the problem from reoccurring.  Would definitely use Mr. Rooter again, and cannot applaud Brian Lutche enough.

I would never go looking for another plumbing company again. My sewer pipe that was under my sink and laundry broke. All the water kept draining to the dirt that was making odor and mildew. They referred me to a great restoration company that clean the issue and John from Rooter plumbing was outstanding. He was very professional and knowledgeable about my problem. Trustworthy and very relatable. He was the reason why I decided to go with this company. It is  hard to find trustworthy people in any industry especially plumbing. He came with another partner that was name John also. Easy to remember names. That John was very helpful and amazing also. He fix my pipes and everything back to normal. I just remodeled my kitchen and last thing I wanted to do was not use it because of some pipes. Now because of both John and Rooter plumbing my wife is happy.  A happy wife make my life easy so thank you John and Rooter plumbing.

I am an idiot who paid Mr. Rooter way too much money in hopes that they could help prevent future plumbing problems at a rental.  Instead, I now have new problems and have been told I need a new toilet because the jets aren't working in this one.  The water drains out of the toilet when not in use; then when flushed it almost overflows, something that did not happen prior to the work they did.  Andy and Gary came out and used a plunger on the toilet and came up with the diagnosis that a new toilet was needed.  REALLY?  I have used this company on several occasions, for small jobs, but would NOT recommend them for big jobs.  Get a real plumber.

*****I was just getting ready to post this when Greg, the General Manager of Mr. Rooter called and offered to put in a new toilet at no cost to me.  This was not because he felt they had done anything wrong, it was because I had already spent so much money with their company and he wanted a satisfied customer, which he now has.  Thank you, Greg.  This is the way to run a company.

Mr. Rooter came out for a plumbing problem @ our laundromat. The guy took an hour looking for the MAIN and could not find the main. Believe it or not he called a supervisor to come help. Between the plumber and his supervison neither could find a main. The prepared an estimate where these guys recommended that the toilet be removed and a main put in above it - Estimate from Mr. Rooter $2500.

I called a second plumber out the same night. The plumber arrived it took him 15 minutes to find the main. This plumber explained it would take (2) men to do the job as one had to feed the snake into the main. After Hours (2) with (2) Men Cost = $260 and done within (2) Hours. Quite a BIG difference in cost. How they evaluated this is beyond my comprehension. I am sure they were looking more for a percentage of cost.

Nice if you have the income of a resident in Calabasas, Westchester, Hancock Park. Heck I don't even think the families down the street in Lakewood Country Club would pay these prices. My kitchen sink was backed up and I was in a jam to get a plumber out to fix it!! The receptionist, Tanya was friendly and did not beat around the bush. Mr. Rooter sent their technician out for a free estimate, and I was very satisfied with their prices.

The technician Joe was also very friendly, did not make a mess and was quick with the job! As a single female, I have had other experiences with plumbing companies feeling pressured by technicians, and have been given false information in the past. I would recommend anyone in the area using Mr. Rooter as they are honest, quick and did not try to rip me off!!

After calling TWO other places that said they were coming and never bothered to show up, we went a night without water and called Mr. Rooter the next morning. They showed up on time, worked fast, super friendly, fair-priced (actually much cheaper than other places quoted). The gentleman that showed up was super nice, worked efficiently and we had water within an hour! We will definitely go with them next time we have a plumbing issue, and I would hands-down recommend them.

I feel pretty great about the service we received. I never really like having to pay for repairs, but when your kitchen sink and garbage disposal is backed up and not working...you've got to fix the problem.

Mr Rooter came out, gave us a quote, and fixed the problem. We were thrilled to have it taken care of and would definitely recommend Mr Rooter to anyone.

Great service, professional and reliable!
I had a sink drain clogged on a Sunday afternoon around 4:00 p.m. a couple of weeks ago. Not only were the kitchen sinks clogged, but water started coming out on the bar sink on the other side of my kitchen. I called the smell good plumbers first and they couldn't send anybody. I called Mr. Rooter and I had a plumber by 6:00 p.m. It took him about an hour and half but got the job done and thoroughly explained to us what the cause of the problem was. Plumbing problems are absolutely the worst and to happen on a Sunday afternoon, but this company came through for me, made it as less painful as possible. The fee was steep (about $300.00) but I could have gotten flooded and it would have cost a lot more. The value was there: prompt, professional, reliable, AND he smelled really good!

I am an idiot who paid Mr. Rooter way too much money in hopes that they could help prevent future plumbing problems at a rental.  Instead, I now have new problems and have been told I need a new toilet because the jets aren't working in this one.  The water drains out of the toilet when not in use; then when flushed it almost overflows, something that did not happen prior to the work they did.  Andy and Gary came out and used a plunger on the toilet and came up with the diagnosis that a new toilet was needed.  REALLY?  I have used this company on several occasions, for small jobs, but would NOT recommend them for big jobs.  Get a real plumber.

*****I was just getting ready to post this when Greg, the General Manager of Mr. Rooter called and offered to put in a new toilet at no cost to me.  This was not because he felt they had done anything wrong, it was because I had already spent so much money with their company and he wanted a satisfied customer, which he now has.  Thank you, Greg.  This is the way to run a company.

Mr. Rooter came out for a plumbing problem @ our laundromat. The guy took an hour looking for the MAIN and could not find the main. Believe it or not he called a supervisor to come help. Between the plumber and his supervison neither could find a main. The prepared an estimate where these guys recommended that the toilet be removed and a main put in above it - Estimate from Mr. Rooter $2500.

I called a second plumber out the same night. The plumber arrived it took him 15 minutes to find the main. This plumber explained it would take (2) men to do the job as one had to feed the snake into the main. After Hours (2) with (2) Men Cost = $260 and done within (2) Hours. Quite a BIG difference in cost. How they evaluated this is beyond my comprehension. I am sure they were looking more for a percentage of cost.

Nice if you have the income of a resident in Calabasas, Westchester, Hancock Park. Heck I don't even think the families down the street in Lakewood Country Club would pay these prices. Know your demographics.  The prices were extremely high and unrealistic. Save your time fellow yelp users and skip the quote.  You'll save yourself the grief.

My kitchen sink was backed up and I was in a jam to get a plumber out to fix it!! The receptionist, Tanya was friendly and did not beat around the bush. Mr. Rooter sent their technician out for a free estimate, and I was very satisfied with their prices.

The technician Joe was also very friendly, did not make a mess and was quick with the job! As a single female, I have had other experiences with plumbing companies feeling pressured by technicians, and have been given false information in the past. I would recommend anyone in the area using Mr. Rooter as they are honest, quick and did not try to rip me off!!

Thanks again Mr. Rooter, and I will happily be calling you for any future plumbing issues!

Mr. Rooter was able to accommodate my schedule and the Service Technician Brian Lutche was prompt, helpful and informative. Cleared my shower drain and inspected the rest of the lines for condition. Cost was very reasonable and as quoted, and folks handling the appointment confirmation were efficient and nice. Will definately use again and recommend.

Deana was able to get someone over here within 45 minutes of my call Wednesday morning. Our toilet was backing up in the tub, not pretty! I tried to plunge, but Yelp and Mr Rooter came right to the rescue. Miguel snaked the main drain 72 feet to the obstruction. He took off the toilet, since no clean-out, and replaced the ring, re-caulked...can't tell any one was ever here. They also gave me a 10G $ estimate for replumb/pull in new pipe, incl concrete cut-rpr/clean-outs installed. Will check on that. VERY happy with the quick response and amiable worker and good price to get through this portion of the trouble.

If it's plumbing you need look no further Mr.Rooter offers top-notch plumbing service. Shai the technician that came to my home was very professional and thorough as described problem and solution. I really appreciated  that he was very patient and honest with me as  to what my options were. There was no need to look any further, within a few days Shai came in with his crew and did a entire overhaul. I now have a up to date plumbing system with Great water pressure! No more getting yelled at when someone is in the shower and  I'm trying to washing dishes and I never knew water could drain out the sink so fast. I am extremely happy we chose Mr. Rooter for the job. Also Greg the owner came to my home after the work was complete to make sure everything was in order and my family and  I were satisfied  with the work. Excellent Service from beginning to end.

I have used Mr Rooter Plumbing for several small jobs in the past. However just last week when I thought I was just going to get a drain flushed, Andy the plumber assigned to call suspected that something more complex might be going on. After his discovery that my drains,  in particular my main was filled with roots, he explained what options I had.
I took an option that presented itself to be the most logical which also was going to allow me to see if I had even a bigger problem, whcih as you guessed...I did!
This was late on a Friday afternoon by the time I  knew it there was another plumber and the Field  supervisor, Gary Rinier on site helping Andy.

Once again I was presented several options to solve my problem. I chose on that was was going to require two days worth of work. Not only  did they perform the work in a very neat professional manner, I was not inconvenienced one bit through the process.

I was VERY impressed and pleased with the service and work that was performed!!

Waking up with a clogged sewage drain at home is no fun at all...

First, I called the city... after all, I pay fees every month for sewer usage. I might as well!

Two men with sarcastic smiles arrived only 10 minutes later, and ckecked the area of city responsibility- everything looks fine sir, on our side- you will have to tackle this with a plumber on your own... you need to do it very soon, before you get sanctioned by the health department... and let me tell ya, plumbing ain't cheap, said one of the men who appeared to be the boss, as he was entering back into the service van. The other one nodded a few times absent-mindedly, poetically, showing approval and full devotion to his boss.

I called our local Mr. Rooter Plumbing in Lakewood; a polite lady picked up the call, and promised to arrange a plumber visit as soon as possible... so far so good.

Two gentlemen showed up driving a huge van proudly displaying Mr. Rooter's smiley face. They tried some routine procedures to clear my drain. I wasn't there- I work full time for Samsung Design- but my mother who happened to be in town helped me to supervise the work.

These guys were clearly professionals who seem to know what they are doing. Until here, my experience was 5 stars.

However, when the final diagnose of what's wrong with my sewer was ready, I quickly removed 3 stars from my initial rating- the repair prices proposed by the Mr. Rooter team were... exporbitant!!! For example, they always charge a set-up fee of $1500 for most repairs. And they don't explain in detail what that set-up fee is. Also, for the special type of epoxy lining that was necessary to do, stregthening the inside of my house's old broken sewer pipes (damaged by years of earthquakes and lots of roots), they charge $85 per foot. Which for 100 feet is how much? $8500!

According to the plumbers, this is a brand new technology. Using an ipoxy gun of some sort, they inject hot epoxy at high speed into the old tubes, which creates a sort of undestructible tube within the tube that reinforces, clears, and is not vulnerable to tree roots for many years to come.

But... that expensive? Come on!!!

Yep, unbelievable. When they calculated costs of labor, and a few other miscelaneous charges of about $200 each (which they again did not clearly explain to me), the grand total came up to $12,000.00. Argh.

I told the manager, whose name is Brian, that $12,000 is out of my league. Even if I own a home, it should not mean that I have such money available in liquid form... I don't know what it looks like on the side, but my budget is very tight.

So they offered to give me 'special discount' of 15% if I sign up for their 5 years coverage plan ($370). I agreed- and this brought down the price to a grand total of $10,000.00... Cash.

Again, I guess I shouldn't be complaining- indeed my house is pretty old (built in 1919)... I was expecting something would eventually happen. Sooner or later. But that much money for a single contracting job? My house is eating away chunks of its own equity?

Luckily, I'm able to pay today. So I can have a toilet. But what about all the other people around?? Other than perhaps certain millionaires, who can possibly afford such expensive plumbing repairs? So what do those people do when their toilets are backed up?

And how do the Mr. Rooter of Long Beach guys survive?

As I don't have prior experience with such problems so I can't really tell- I will let you be the judge. Please feel free to send me a message with comments about this, and share with me your experience- I would appreciate it.

Only because I am not happy about the repair costs- and not fully convinced how honest this final balance was- I decided to give a low rating. You have the right to be warned.

Otherwise, for 3 business days, the guys did a good (clean) job: they carefully removed concrete in my garden, unearthed small portion of the tube, injected the epoxy, covered back the hole with earth and replaced the concrete blocks in a decent (while not perfect) way. My garden did not become unusable. For this reason, instead of 1 star, I give Mr. Rooter 2 stars- I commend the young employees who actually did the dirty and quite difficult job (and I doubt they get even a small chunk of that $10,000- most of it probably goes to the owner).

Professional, patient, and honest! I had a plumbing emergency when all our plumbing backed up in our new, older home in Lakewood. I put in an appointment with my home insurance company AHS who sent another plumbing company right away; that plumber tried to snake the back up from every line, took my toilets off and flooded my bathrooms to no avail.. To sum it up they didn't fix the problem and said I needed to repipe my whole system which would cost $8 to $10k oop, not including my wood flooring they'd have to destroy to get to the pipe. My husband and I were devastated.

Luckily those ***** never followed up so I called Mr Rooter and Gary, the supervisor, said he would come the next day with a camera. He was very patient and explained that it could be multiple things, and to not jump to conclusions the other plumber had suggested, which was drastic. Andy and Gary came the next morning and sent a camera down finding the blockage. They showed me everything on the camera before and after and explained everything along the way. They hydro- jetted the blockage for $550, a fraction of what the other plumber was suggesting.
Their pricing is up front, and in a company 'menu' they carry around. They even re-attached and cleaned the big mess the other plumber left behind. You get what you pay for, you could go to a less experienced, cheaper plumber but end up paying more in the long run..The other company never suggested hydro-jetting, don't think they even have the equipment for it. Also Mr Rooter was local, so Gary knew the layout and pipes of most of the houses and lines in my neighborhood. Super grateful I found them!
FYI: lots of great deals on AngiesList if you have it.. That's where I found the $99 camera deal.

These guys r amazing! The lady on the phone was able to not only get me a same day appt, but with in 2 hours of calling, a plumber had arrived. He was fast, friendly, super knowledgeable, and thoroughly explained all our options, pros and cons, costs, warranty EVERYTHING. If anything should happen again I'm only calling them from now on. Above and beyond excellent service and so affordable too

So we had a plumbing emergency on Super Bowl Sunday. Impossible, I know!  But we received a call back very promptly, saying they would be in touch in about an hour.  Assured us they would be out tonight for a hefty price, to which we agreed. Didn't hear back in a few hours. Called back, to hear that the worker ran out of gas, didn't have a gas card, and couldn't come out. We are screwed. No water for our family of five. Thank you Mr. Rooter. For nothing.

I am recommending Mr. rooter of Long Beach.  Had some kind of major obstruction so our master bath sinks were not draining at all.  Another plumber was not able to reach the clog with a snake so I called Mr. Rooter.  They came out the same day.  There is no charge for them to come give you an estimate.  The plumber was able to clear the clog fairly quickly  and the cost seemed very reasonable.  The guy was very professional and even wore booties over his shoes.

A side note...Mr. rooter (Greg W) and his team are philanthropically minded, having volunteered and raised money for charity.  Thank you.

Came out pretty quick on a Sunday. Took a little over 2 hours. That's including going to the store and picking up parts. Josh was our guy and he was pretty straight forward except that he didn't mention that when he was going to cut the hole in the wall that he had to hire someone else to patch it up. It wasn't an issue. Everything was pretty clear. Would reccommend.

Today a Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Long Beach Service Technician came out to clear my clogged toilet.  I had taken off the Toilet to make it easier and cheaper.  The Service Tech looked at the toilet drain and asked me if I was sure it was clogged.  Then he gets his camera to see if there was a clog.  He then takes a call on his cell phone and tells the person he will be finished within 25 minutes (he spoke Spanish).  He then puts his camera down the drain, maybe 3 feet and tells me he can't get the camera to go any further, and if the camera can't go down the drain the snake won't either.  He tells me the only way to clear the drain is for him to make a clean-out through the wall and that it will cost $1200.00.  I said good bye.  I called a different Plumbing company, they came out, snaked the drain and put the toilet back on the drain.  He was in and out within 30 minutes for $100.00.  Be careful, evidently business must be slow, so there are companies out there trying to make as much money as they can and quote work that is not required.

I have to say that this company is top notch. Our kitchen line was blocked, got flaked on by two other plumbing companies. Called these guys and they had me fixed and ready to go in less than two hours later. Dustin was our guy and he was, prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable. He even replaced my old clean out cap with a brand new one. I was amazed at how clean the workspace was too. The guy knows how to do the damn thing. Highly satisfied and recommend them to everyone.

The company knew that I have water in my garage the past few days. When called, I took their first available appointment which was today from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. At around 10:20 they call that the their truck is broken down & they have to re-schedule for another day. Receptionist did not give a damn about my concern. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!

The one star is for their efficiency in making appointments and now I understand why. I wish i would have checked yelp before I called this place back. I can relate to Brad M's review and would like to thank him for potentally saving us several thousands of dollars.  Not only does it appear that we got taken advantage of once, but a second time.  We have already paid this company over $1,000 and they never made any concrete repairs so it now appears that we were likely overcharged 1000% for the primarily diagnostic service that we received.  We noticed that our drains were draining slowly and were charged $550 to have them use a camera inside the drain and show some small cracks and tree roots.  Brad's review probably encouraged them to point out which cracks were likely on our property vs. which were city.  They then offered to flush high pressured water to help our drain issue. They said this would cost $750 but I asked them why we were charged $550 last time and showed them the receipt so they agreed to match that price but would not offer the same warranty that we would get with the higher pressured $750 flush so it sounds like the extra $200 is plumbing insurance smart. They also recommended that we get the drain lined with pvc and would apply the $550 towards that service however that offer is only available for a week and they failed to mention the offer or recommend the service the previous time.  This is the part where I thought wait a minute, this sounds expensive let me check yelp to see if anyone else had a similar experience and lo and behold...I would appreciate it if this business had some transparency and a price list for their services and we had been charged $150-$250 for the service we received as it appears others had been. I wonder if price is based on your address or any other factors i.e. i am female and even mentioned to my husband that it might have helped if he could've taken the time to meet them. All in all it sounds like we are also due a partial refund.  Finally, I haven't read all of their reviews yet but wondering what other steps can be taken if any, besides sharing a bad decision on yelp.

Mr. Rooter came out to my home to unclog a drain in my bathroom.  Andy, the technician, snaked the drain and then said he needed to remove the P trap to snake the drain from that point which would be an additional charge.  I agreed to the charge and Andy removed the P trap and ran the snake through it.  Andy put the P Trap back together and left. Problem solved.  Later that evening I began to place items back under the sink and noticed water in the cabinet.  I called Mr. Rooter to have someone come back to my home to fix the leak coming from the P Trap.  I was told I would be charged $65.00 for a technician to come out to fix the leak coming from the P trap because it was after hours.  I explained that the leak was due to Andy, the technician, not putting the P trap back properly.  Miguel Ramirez called my home and said he would not come out unless I paid the additional $65.00 fee. Miguel Ramirez told me not to use my sink if I didn't want the leak dripping all night long.  Although this company resolved the drainage problem they created another problem and refused to repair the same day.   Owner refused to call me.  This company does not stand by their work.  Will not recommend or use again.

ZERO STARS.  I am in an emergency situation, whole house backed up, pregnant and have a 3 y/o and no running toilet.  Bath tub and sinks are filling. Called them from one yelp review, mostly because they are open on a Sunday and might be able to come out quickly - but no, $65 to just come in 2+ hours and tell me what it costs to snake the main drain. REFUSED to tell me the cost to snake a main drain. No way. Horrible service right off the bat... I would not use them.

Update:  The owner refunded the cost for the water filtration system that leaked after I wrote my previous review.  They did try to fix the sink and have offered to come out again but I think it's the best it's going to be at this point.  I've revised my rating from one star to three stars because I was always happy with them in the past and I appreciate the refund.

We bought a new dryer from best buy but they wouldn't install it since our gas shut off valve was old. After calling two other places who gave rough estimates for the job, I called mr rooter and a tech was at my house in less than an hour for a free estimate. Steven gave me a reasonable price in comparison to the other estimates, so i ok'd the job. I paid $100 less than the two estimates I received plus Steven set up the new dryer! I even returned the ducting and the hose we bought from best buy since the hose was changed and Steven said our ducting was still good so thats $65 back in my wallet. I'm so glad I found mr. rooter!

I just wanted to say I just had a similar problem, but was able to get some quotes from other plumbers, and Mr. Rooter was actually the cheapest.  
The pipe connecting to the city sewer was crushed and no longer actually connected to the sewer.  Additionally, the clay sewer pipe from my house to the street was  broken and full of tree roots.  
The Mr. Rooter guys have been great -  they let me know what to expect each day, when the water would be turned off etc., and kept to the expected schedule.  They also presented several options (less expensive choices, but perhaps with later implications) and kept the area as clean as possible.
In addition, I had some unrelated plumbing work that needed to be done, and they took care of it at a deep discount, since I was already having so much major plumbing work done.
I would use Mr. Rooter again!  Hopefully, I will never need to though. :)

My mom called a nameless pluming company in Bixby knolls Saturday to come fix the shower head. He said it was going to be a 8 hour job and it was going to cost $700.  So he scheduled his self for Tuesday.  My mom and I were uncomfortable with him and the cost and we wanted an second opinion.  So we cancelled the guy on Monday. I walked outside and Mr Rooter Plumbing was working across the street. I walked over and the guys were friendly open and polite.  The supervisor drove up and he was just as polite and open to help me with my question and issues.   Joe walked over to my home and assessed the shower and explained what I needed done and that they could come out the next day and fix it.  Joe was here at 930 am and completed the job.  prefect Joe my mom and I are happy. Your a friendly and good hearted guy keep up the great work. We will be calling Mr Rooter Plumbing for all of our work we need done. Thanks again. I forgot the staff the that receives the initial calls were great to. All of you keep up the great work you do.

I had an issue with my shower spout change that made another plumber actually walk away from the job. Todd Jorgensen came out and after reviewing the situation, was able to do the repair without any damage to my shower. All works perfect and very happy with the result! Thanks Todd!

We had a mess of an emergency on our hands. As a business the clients restroom is important, so normally we were alarmed when a client said Um, did you know you have a leak? (more like half the restroom was flooded) . Being the office manager I quickly went on-line to find a good professional plumber here in Long Beach. I then found Mr. Rooter and a very good review where Dustin was mentioned (also the dispatcher I spoke to on the phone Candy was very nice). Luckily Dustin was the plumber dispatched to do the job, he was able to take care of the whole problem and was very professional, courteous and very nice......wow as I am writing this review, Candy called to follow up and ask if we're happy with the work done.
NEED I WRITE MORE?? ...I would recommend them in a heart beat!

(As far as $$$ goes I think they are fair and I also printed an on-line coupon that they take with no problem)

Mr. Rooter was quick, clean, did a fantastic job and they were very respectful of my home. I would use them for all future plumbing needs at home or at my company. I would recommend them to all my friends! Out of all the work I had done on my home (window replacement, hvac install, new lighting, rewire, kitchen remodel and re-plumbing) when the city inspector came out to inspect the work to finalize the permits - Mr. Rooter was the ONLY company that did their job so well that the inspector signed off on their work immediately without any needed corrections! That's what I want from any company that come and does work in my home...I want it done the first time, which is exactly what Mr. Rooter did!

I want to start by saying the technician that did my work was very professional and I have no complaints about him.  My complaint is that I feel that I was overcharged for the service provided and the owner refuses to budge on the fee.  I had a mainline cleanout installed in the front of my home 2 years ago because there is a recurrent problem with tree roots in my neighborhood.  The root blockage was less than 10 feet from the cleanout and took the technician no more than 5 minutes with the correct snake but the cost was $300.  (He did try for about 20 minutes with a piece of equipment that was too small to cut the roots)  Boy do I feel ripped off.    I will not use this company again.  I have had other companies do the same cleanout from the back of the house (much more difficult) for half the price.

Had a kitchen faucet that stopped working.  Called Mr Rooter dispatch (very friendly and helpful) and a truck pull up in 60 minutes.  Crew was very professional and friendly and did an excellent job.  Would definitely call again.

Plumber came today to fix a retaining nut on bathroom faucet.  He said two valves also needed changing and the total for the nut and the valves would be $351.08.  I said I didn't want the valves changing and how much was it for just fixing the retaining nut. His response?  $430!  That's $80 more for doing less work!!!  The plumber Andy was very nice and had a very professional manner and I know it's not his fault. I have no problem with him. It's the company and their questionable pricing that is the problem. I won't use this company ever again.

Stay away. RipOff. Had to switch out main line on a rental house and they quoted me 10k. I used Shamrock Plumbing and they did it for 6k. Rooter works on commission.

I was in a bind on Saturday and frantically looking for a plumber just hours before I was to host a party.  My sink was backing up and causing a big mess.  I found Mr Rooter online and hoped for the best.  Fortunately they were able to come out in an hour and resolve the issue quickly.  I was impressed with how professional Dustin was and  I would definately recommend them.

You guys are the best. Steven fixed in a jiffy a leaking garbage disposal which had been torturing my wife for a while. He is very professional, provided a wealth of knowledge about the problem he came to fix as well as other plumbing questions we had around the house. He was straight from the beginning in providing a quote for the complete job and went above and beyond in performing the task at hand.
I was doubtful at first before calling Mr Rooter as I had only used them to unplug drains in the past, never for this kind of plumbing issue; besides some of the bad reviews I had read made me a little uncomfortable. I am glad I followed my instinct and called them anyways; I am completely satisfied with the job performed and will not hesitate to contact them in the future again.

A plumber from Mr. Rooter arrived yesterday to clean our main plumbing line which backs up yearly.  He refused to access the cleanout from the vent in the roof which is how it's always been done.  After leaving an estimate of almost $2,000 to do this we declined.  This morning the line was cleaned out in 15 minutes by another plumber from the roof and cost $75.00.  I would give Mr. Rooter zero stars - they did not seem to have the proper equipment or knowledge to enable them to repair a common plumbing problem.

I woke up this morning to a backed up tub and toilet - not the best morning you can have.  However my morning started with me trying to find a plumber ASAP and cheap... I looked up elocalplumbers on the website which brings you to many local plumbers.  I entered a general description and had a few calls.  With the price of fuel, I was trying to get a quote first as I know what my plumbing problem is as I did not want any unwarranted trips.  Mr. Rooter was the third company to call.  They were here within 60 minutes to give me a free quote.  The field supervisor and plumber technician were extremely polite and presentable.  The access the situation and gave me a quote.. wow - a bit more than what I wanted but I knew this was going to be an expensive fix (being a homeowner for 17 years I knew what my major problem was).  They gave me a few minutes to think about this - I return back to them 10 minutes later and asked them to give me a discount and I was granted a nice discount.  The job was a tough one which took 2-3 hours but it was done.  I was extremely happy with the outcome of the job and the pleasant personality of both field supervisor and plumber technician.  I do plan to use the on other home projects that I just don't have time to do anymore.   They were quick, clean and very professional.  Thank you Mr. Rooter of Long Beach.

Important for me to go on and update. Contacted by management afterwards and they took care of the issue once we noted it. My family is very happy with the customer service provided by Mr. Rooter Plumbing. One bad apple shouldn't spoil the brand at all. Great customer service means everything. They are definitely a plus again in my book. Thank you for fixing the installer error.

Good prices, on time, easy to reach (usually live person), and helpful advice!  I've used them for kitchen sink and sewer line clogs/drains in the past, and in June they installed a 75 gallon traditional water heater when our 20 year old one got a slow/small leak.  I knew Mr. Rooter's price was good when a national chain plumber quoted me about $2k more for the same install, and that national chain plumber also gave me a verbal quote  for an under the table install  (meaning the plumber would do the work himself instead of the chain, so there was no warranty on labor, a business to go after if a problem arose, and possibly a breach in the heater warranty too) that was just $100 less than Mr. Rooter's price.  The only reason Mr. Rooter got a 4 star from me was because they did push me to buy the much more expensive tank-less heater, but I went w/ the traditional heater since a few friends have complained about tank-less not providing hot water, long delays for hot water, and plain crappy products that break down early and frequently.  I'm a big boy and asked Greg many questions about the products and options, and made my own decision: my gas bill is miniscule so I wasn't concerned about that aspect.  
Would I recommend them to family/friends?  Yes.

The Mr Rooter folks have been good to me .  I have used them 2x in the last 6 months for a clogged sink and drainage problems at my home.  They are prompt and leave the area clean when done.  They have a pricing binder which keeps things on the up and up.  I will use them again.

I had a great experience with Mr. Rooter and with the service technician Dustin. I had asked him to snake the main sewer line. Instead of just doing the work I asked him to do, he researched possible other causes and snaked a drain line that I thought was clear, completely resolving the drainage issue. He also requested that his supervisor come by to run a camera down the lines so I could have a clear idea of what the future holds for my sewer lines. Excellent service, great communication, overall a very good experience.

I live in a 62 year old tree lined community. I have roots cleared from my main line every year which has never cost more than $100. I called Mr Rooter while I was at work and my adult son was home to meet with the plumber. He charged $175   I would have never authorized that in fact I could have taken the day off myself.  I will never call Mr. Rooter again and I will advise my friends and aquaintances to do the same.

I called Mr. Rooter after getting absolutely no customer service from a competitor in Gardena. I am more than completely satisfied with the work done at my home. I had the sewer line replaced and a cleanout installed as there wasn't an existing one. The staff was courteous and professional. I have no doubt that the work was done correctly and that I will have no problems with tree root intrusion for the next 30 years. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the cost, which would have been high regardless of who had done the work. I would definately recommend them.

The dispatcher was super friendly, and the plumber came in about an hour and a half - much longer than I was led to believe.  My water heater was leaking from the pressure regulator valve overflow pipe on the side of the unit.  He said that was what it was supposed to do when he first arrived, but after making me go from kitchen to bathroom to bathroom showing him that I had hot water in every place, then seeing that the overflow was still running water, he decided that it was a sign the unit was going out.  Nothing to do but replace it for $780 for the water heater, and nearly $500 for the installation kit!  I said I'd think about it. Did some online research, AND looked at the tag on the valve itself, which said it should be maintained and may need to be periodically replaced.  Called another plumber the next morning, who showed up in half an hour and replaced the valve for $100, problem solved.  Don't use Mr Rooter - rip off!!!

mr. rooter the ripoff...do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs. they ripped off my mother for $7,389.00 to snake the front of the house. while my dad was in the hospital. they noted on the paperwork that the house was on a slab. the house is on a raised foundation.  never check under the house. after  over paying the $7,389.00, it did not fix the problem. gary comes out and this time i am there to protect my elderly parents from this gross elder abuse. he proceeds to tell her (without looking under the house) that she would need all new plumbing and that would be another $7,000.  i brought to gary's attention that his paperwork showed that they had the house listed as being on a slab.  i also mentioned if that was the case, then they never looked under the house with the raised foundation to see what the real plumbing issue was. since the money my mom spent did not fix the problem, they did not offer to reimburse her, they just said well not you will have to pay $7,000 to replace your plumbing.  never, never do business with these ripoff artists.  left messages for the owner.  the only time he called me was when he saw i posted on yelp.  i will continue to post until he pays my mom back the $7,389 he ripped off.  my mom paid another plumber to replace the plumbing under the house and that plumber also said mr rooter ripped her off and that she never should have been charged $7,389 to snake the front of the house, when that was never the problem.  mr rooter should be ashamed of himself for ripping off the elderly.  my dad has since died and while my dad was in the hospital my mom was so stressed out and the toilet backed up...and along comes mr rooter like a shark, preying on a helpless old lady...trusting mr rooter.  mr rooter is a wolf in sheep's clothing. stay away for those rip off artists. they are defrauding people. i will post until they refund the money they defrauded my mom.
