IF THERE WAS A ZERO STAR RATING THIS COMPANY WOULD DESERVE IT.  I CALLED ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF MY HOME WARRANTY COMPANY AND EXPLAINED THERE WAS WATER SEEPING OUT IN MY YARD AND THAT I
think the pipe is cracked and needs to be fixed.  they sent one of their expert technicians out to the wrong address and eventually made it to my home once we guided them in.  the expert technician told my wife he suspected we had a cracked pipe and explained he could surmise this by the water seeping into the yard.  he promised to write up a really expensive cost analysis in the next few days but emailed it to the wrong address.  For this service they expect to be paid $120.  The pipe broke the next day and I dug it up and fixed it myself.  Still waiting for a copy of the estimate but they call everyday asking for the money for their service   this company sucks!

DO MOT LET THESE PEOPLE IN YOUR HOMEPruitt's Plumbing just hung us out to dry. I shoulda looked at their terrible Yelp rating before I let them in my house.  So they did some plumbing work on our kitchen sink. A washer broke, no big deal except  they ordered the wrong washer. A nice guy came over and immediately saw the error. Fine he said it would only take a couple of days. So I got a call today from a very nice lady who tells me they have the washer,  but cannot come out for another week. So it will be ANOTHER WEEK WITH NO KITCHEN SINK. We can't wash dishes or use our water purifier. The lady on the phone talked to management. No help.
PS
I thought about maybe not posting this because I don't like to dwell on the negative but I feel it is my duty to be honest

Our home warranty company sent Pruitts to fix our problem. Woke up Friday with neither toilets or showers usable. Their tech showed up at 2:15 and left around 7 pm. Nothing was fixed. He stated it more than likely is a collapsed pipe. Said another tech would be out the next day. I called them at 9:10 am Saturday. Was told they were under the impression the job was completed. Had I not called they wouldn't have sent anyone else. Got a huge apology and told we would be their first stop. No one ever showed up. According to my warranty company they are not going to cover any part of my problem. They told Pruitts tech that. So I guess he didn't feel the need to call or show up and ask if I was willing to pay them to do the job. So unprofessional.  I will never use them and at this point will probably cancel the home warrant.

Don't waste your time. You will end up with more problems than they came to fix. No help from office supervisor or after hours service...not even a response or call back. Terrible.

TLDR:
Unscrupulous business practices from doubling the bill on us the day before Pruitt's Plumbing was to come out to our home to fix our water heater. Kevin which was Pruitt's Plumbing representative and plumber was extremely pushy, rude, and disrespectful to my wife and family in our home. 100% do not recommend.

BBB has you at 1.9 stars. Yelp has you at 2.5 stars out of 230 reviews. Tons of poor experiences like the one I had.

Not professional. Without going into details, they are crooks. I wouldn't recommend them. Only reason why they are in business is because they have a contract with a warranty company.

Updated response per Pruitt's Plumbing LLC Sep 7, 2022:

Scott, I spoke with you directly via phone (the owner). Kevin was the gentlemen in our home. We worked through a home warranty company & we paid you a fee to fix our water heater. That constitutes us doing business together.

The gentlemen Kevin you sent out was extremely rude and disrespectful. He scoffed at how he made more money doing a different job previous than his new plumbing career.

He was pushy and demanding that we pay half of a fee that we were not aware we had to pay. We simply asked him to give us some time to follow up with the home warranty company. He seemed to get even more upset.

It is our understanding you get paid roughly $110 to come out to visit our house to see what was wrong with our water heater as per the home warranty company. Hardly enough to stay in business.

Coming off the heals of your employee being rude and disrespectful to my wife and our family, it did not bode well when the bill was to be almost $600. Again, we wanted to contact the home warranty company to ensure this was in line with their policies.

Though your employee was extremely rude...

We asked you to not have your employee contact us any longer due to how rude and disrespectful he was to us in our home. He ended up being the non-sensical guy to contact us again.

We got in contact with home warranty company. We came to a conclusion that we would move forward with you guys and pay the roughly $600 bill. We paid half up front the day before you were to come out.

12 hours before you were to come out, the same gentlemen had called us to tell us that you had reviewed the pictures and estimated that he had missed something and it would be an additional charge. Bringing out total up to around $1,080.

Without going into specifics, is Pruitt's Plumbing, LLC a scam plumbing company? That's for you to decide.

Do Pruitt's Plumbing have unscrupulous business practices? Yes.

I'd say...you'd probably need to re-hire for your employee. Find someone to not be rude in communicating with your customers, and take responsibility for their mistakes.

The biggest gripe I have is the fact that your company was angry with us over the fact that we did not pay on the spot. We did our due diligence & we then agreed to do business with you a few days later. We paid you a few days before you were to come out. However, the day before you were to come out you ~doubled the bill on us.

To be clear, our issue is not with the home warranty company, but with Pruitt's Plumbing unscrupulous business practices itself & rude employee representation.

Pruitt's Plumbing came to my house and all the plumber cared about was sitting down at my dinner table with muddy clothes calling his office trying to escalate my situation for more money.  With one whiff of the idea that I had roots in my lines, the dollar signs started multiplying.  The plumber refused to even snake my line as agreed and wanted to start with the grinding machine and some heavier equipment before even investigating my problem to see what was down there.  My home warrenty and insurance company both told me this was not standard operating procedure, but they did not care.  All they cared about was more money.  Honestly, I would love to know how someone other than superman can magically seeing what's in my plumbing lines without even sticking a snake through the toilet as agreed on the phone before they came out.  THEY TOLD ME that they needed to investigate first before brining any equipment - wow did that change! This is the definition of bait and switch and Pruitt's by definition are con artists.   Buyer definitely beware - you've been warned!!!

P.S. after some hours, my friend and I were able to use a standard snake and get the hairballs out of the toilet plumbing line, so the grinding that could potentially destroy my toilet was never even needed.  No thanks Crooks!, um I mean Pruitt's!

Put in a claim with our home warranty because of a leak under kitchen sink and Pruitts called me immediately. Kitchen faucet was also loose and not stable. Home warranty did not cover loose faucet but replaced it anyway. Brent Rigsby service tech came out and fixed leak under sink in 15 minutes. Also ordered a new faucet and came back and replaced kitchen faucet in no time. Brent was very knowledgeable and a most pleasant young man. If I ever need and plumbing services in the future I will request Brent. Thanks Brent and Pruitts.

I bought my house beginning of fall last year and it had a busted hot water valve in the laundry room. (I have a home warranty so Pruitt's was assigned to my house.)

From the get go they were top notch! The customer service from the dispatchers and technicians was way above par! They can generally can get you an appointment next day if you have the availability!

The speediness of the technicians was way faster than I expected and the work was perfect. I had three different guys come to the house (Jerod, Javier, and Nate?). They were all excellent in explaining the process and only took about 20 minutes.

The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is that there was a time lapse between visits because they ordered the wrong part one time and then the right part took a while to come in. The second one probably wasn't their fault though.

I will definitely use Pruitt's in the future and I think you should too!

Pruitt was sent by American Home Warranty (bad, don't use AHS) to replace a toilet water tank that was cracked due to heat/cold AC.  They had been very prompt and responsive throughout the whole process from scheduling the initial visit to ordering the water tank and then replacing it.

Very happy with Pruitt's service especially compared to the non-service that we got from another plumber through AHS.

Pruitts plumbing was hired by my home warranty company (Fidelity) to service a recirculating pump on my water heater. I paid the $75 dollar charge to have them come out bc my plumber said the pump wasn't working. The tech the sent out asked me how I knew the pump wasn't working, and I told him the plumber told me the pump wasn't humming or heating up. He agreed the pump wasn't working and told me they needed to order parts and would schedule replacement later. He left, only to call me 15 minutes later and tell me that they couldn't get a recirc pump that would fit in the small closet space. They'd need to charge me $180 because the only pump they could order was bigger and wouldn't fit the space.

So I'm supposed to believe it costs $180 to turn a copper pipe 1 inch away from the wall? Also that there is no recirculating pump on planet earth that will fit the space? Technology has made things like this smaller over the past decade, not bigger. What a joke. I won't be paying $180 and if Fidelity can't find another plumber who can problem solve I'll be leaving them a similar review .

BEWARE: A few of their plumbers are good (such as Richard)
and they all are friendly.  HOWEVER, this company over books, and if they have to reschedule or follow up on your project,  you go back into the waiting line for a week.  During which time,  the company told me to put a bucket for water under a leak for a week, which will need changing 3 times every 24 hours!  I only used this company because of a Home Guard Warranty... NEVER AGAIN
They also put a bandaid on an exterior faucet and did not get to the root of the problem.

My issues are still a work in progress so I can't fairly assess the overall experience but, I really liked the interaction I had with Richard, the plumber they sent out for the initial assessment. He listened to what I had to say (a refreshing experience, by the way) and then he explained the why behind the suggestions he had to make as to where we go from here. Once we get to where we're going with all of this, then I can definitely decide how many stars to give them, instead of the neutral 3 that I gave them now. But, at this point in the process I can say if Richard is a proper example of this company's overall customer service, ethics and responsiveness, I would guesstimate that they would definitely get 5 stars!

Don't ever use this company. We had a slab leak in our house. Michael Pruitt said it could be in 3 different places. He wanted to charge us like $2,500 and cut holes in walls where the leak could be. That consultation cost me $300. Well insurance company had a professional leak detector come out with the right equipment and it was in the middle of the family room. Wth!  I would have bitched to get my $300 but just wanted to cut ties. Enjoy my $300 asshole.

The valves to our sink developed a leak. We placed a claim via Landmark HW who scheduled us with Pruitts. Pruitts called us at 730 AM promptly to schedule. We asked for the following day, they gave us a window then narrowed that later that night with a follow up text. The plumber showed up as scheduled, was friendly, efficient and most importantly fixed the valves in 15 minutes or so.

I had Pruitt's replace my water heater 5 yrs ago with a really cheap Lochinvar water heater because it was being installed through Home owner warranty Co. It has a 6 yr warranty and they wanted $180.00 to come out and evaluate when I told them the heater was leaking and needs to be replaced. The person that answered the phone was rude and ignorant and I asked for a supervisor who was also rude. The unit is still under warranty with a 6 yr tank warranty and they would not give me a quote to replace the unit under warranty until I paid them $180.00.
Beware of this company . They are nothing more than plumbing brokers hiring the cheapest plumbers they can find to do the work at a lower cost for Homeowner warranty companies, They refuse commitment for times outside of 5 hr windows and provide very poor service and quality of work.
Use them at your own risk. You have been fore warned.

If I could give negative stars I would!!! If you want horrible customer service this company is for you. I even had one of the employees tell me their number one priority is their companies convenience NOT their customers! And they proved that, as a result my family went an entire week without hot water. I have 2 babies and an elderly mother in my home. They simply did not care. Unfortunately I had no choice but to use them due to my home warranty company. If you have a choice, I urge you to choose ANY other company besides this one. One of there plumbers even told me he is going to look at other job opportunities after the way he witnessed them handle our situation.
You've been warned!!!!

One Guard Home Warranty referred them to us to replace leaky water heater. Dishonest technician. Under investigation by One Guard Home Warranty.  I hope they will make changes to not take advantage of people by telling homeowners they need to replace parts that are not broken or charge homeowners for services that are covered under Home Warranty contract.  We have an electric water heater.  They sent diagnosis to One Guard to replace part for a gas heater.  Drain and relief valves are covered by Home Warranty contract, but they told us they aren't covered, and that they would charge an additional $200 if they have to come back to replace a water heater.  Beware!  Read your home warranty contract carefully so you're not taken advantage of by dishonest plumbers!  Don't pay anything upfront, and always ask for a second or third opinion when in doubt.

If I could give them 0 stars I would! This company is NOT ethical in any way! Our water heater failed and I called the Warranty company. They sent out Pruitts Plumbing. The plumber called a restoration guy (without asking me) and DryLux came out and ran a water sensor around the wall and said the wall was 100% wet. He said I need $3000 of remediation and repairs!   I called ASAP Restoration for a 2nd opinion. He asked a few questions, like did he look inside the wall? what did he quote you? He had us open a small hole in the wall that the water heater sits on, it was bone dry as well as the insulation. He snaked a camera through and saw that there was a small area 2 x 6 that was wet and told us that wasn't any issue, it would dry by itself.

NEVER use DryLux or Pruitt plumbing! They are obviously in cahoots (kickbacks??). Very unethical!!  Call ASAP restoration if you want an honest vendor! BTW, he got nothing except a review out of this because he was honest that we didn't need remediation!

I'm a real estate agent, in the process of selling my personal home.

Like Lindsey D. in an earlier review - my home warranty company OneGuard - selected Pruitt's to service my repair.  My initial service request, on 2/16 was for a repair to the gas line on the hot water heater.  The earliest they could schedule me in was on 2/25. The technician came out, repaired the gas line and told me that the gas control valve was leaking (it needs to be noted that the leak, while visible, was not interfering with the functioning of the hot water heater at the time).  He ordered a replacement, which arrived quickly and the repair for the gas control valve was scheduled for 3/5.  After the technician was at the house on 3/5, I received a call that they needed yet ANOTHER part to complete the repair, but that there was still hot water to the house.  Again, the part was ordered and the THIRD service visit was scheduled for 3/16.

After the third servicing was completed, my case had been closed out in the home warranty system which indicated that the repair was completed.

Now, as my hot water heater is located outside of the house, the last two repairs were completed while I was out of town.  I arrived back in town on 3/23 - a full WEEK after the supposed completion of the repair and to my surprise - there WAS NO HOT WATER TO MY HOUSE.  In fact, the gas control valve WASN'T EVEN CONNECTED TO THE HOT WATER HEATER.  The last technician at the property simply left the assembly disconnected, nobody told me that the hot water heater had been disconnected, that there was no hot water to the house, and they made it appear through the home warranty program that all of the repairs had been completed.

I called Pruitt's immediately and was told that they needed YET ANOTHER PART to complete the repair and that it would not arrive until 3/26 and that there was nothing else they could do.

It is now 3/24 and I have spent HOURS trying to get OneGuard and Pruitt's to get this situation resolved today to no avail.  The best they can do is schedule yet another repair for tomorrow - yes, somehow the parts mysteriously arrived early.

So - not only am I without hot water to the house, the buyer of my property is unable to fully test the plumbing during the inspection that is scheduled for today.

Shame on both of these companies!!

It goes without saying that anyone who is even THINKING about hiring Pruitts on their own needs to run as far away as possible from this company.  It is unfortunate, however, that so many home warranty holders out there will undoubtedly be subjected to the horrible service of this company indefinitely.

And as far as OneGuard - they have been of absolutely NO assistance in this matter.  I've promoted OneGuard for years to my clients, know the local rep, and have had the policy on my personal residence for over 5 years.  This company spends A TON of money promoting itself to the local realtor community (ironically, the buyer of my property is also a licensed realtor and word DOES travel) - and then thinks nothing of flushing all that money down the toilet with the total lack of service it provides to it's customers. I had concerns several years ago when the company was purchased by American Home Shield and I now know that those concerns were more than justified. OneGuard ISN'T EVEN CLOSE to the same company that it once was.

Unable to fix basic issues in a professional way.
Came without the right materials, and were unable to cut pipes to the right size.
Liars, you should be able to call them on their bullshit every couple of minutes. I would not recommend them EVER and will NEVER work with them again. The work they performed in my house looks completely amateurish and they damaged the aesthetic of the house by cutting through the side of the house for no reasons. They were requested by the home warranty to fix their mess, they said they can't do better. See for yourself.

So we contacted Pruitt plumbing about getting out 16 year old water heater replaced. The first time we called the guy on the phone suggested possibly keeping with the one we had since it was still working without issue. (I appreciated the honesty.) After looking over our unit more and talking to neighbors we decided to be proactive and go ahead with the replacement. We were not in a huge hurry but they were able to get us on the schedule within a week. We knew exactly what we wanted 50 gallon residential water heater and were able to give details to the scheduler. We had the new unit (Lochinvar) installed yesterday and the install was seamless and fast. The technician Kyle was great and even pointed out a couple of other items we should keep an eye on (our water softener).  He also shared that the old unit was literally about to die and showed us the amount of rust he cleaned up from the bottom of the unit. He did use all the existing plumbing and pan so that made the install go a little faster. The company offered a 30 day installation warranty and the unit has a 6 year manufacturer warranty. Our experience was great with this company and I could see us using them again in the future. I will caveat that we were paying cash and did not have a home warranty to contend with. They did ask for a credit card as a guarantee for the scheduled visit, but nothing was charged to the card until the job was done. All in all we are happy so far and their price was significantly less than the other plumbers called.

This company was supposed to come to our home and determine what was the issue with our hot water heater, they did so but then said we were not up to code with our piping, they scheduled us for a later date to replace our hot water heater through our home warranty but the piping would cost 300$ extra that the home warranty does not cover. We asked multiple company's about what is up to code and they said we were fine. When Pruitt came the second trip to do the repairs we told them we do not want the extra piping to be fixed since it was not a code issue and they said well it is company policy to replace the piping since it goes along with replacing the hot water heater. We then told them that means the first person was lying and we would like to discuss it before he does the work and so we called their managers and they were no help at all and said they will be charging us for that visit and if we have them out again we will be charging for another visit if they do not do the work this trip. So once we got off the phone with the manager we went outside and their tech was gone!! And our pipes that were connected to the old hot water heater were gone!

I am going to be telling everyone I know to not ever trust this company with anything! They are just trying to scam you out of money!

I wish I researched and read these reviews before allowing my home warranty company One Guard to send them out.  This seems to be a common trend.  Initial rep was great, and friendly he sent the request to One Guard to replace our water heater.   Then came the issues....the day of the install they called us to tell us the tech was 10 mins away, when he arrived he called me I advised my spouse was on their way he said he couldn't wait more than 5-10 minutes (totally understandable).  Called my spouse and confirmed our rental tenants were home and that he should just ring the door bell and they will let him in.  Called Pruitts back on hold for ever and finally got through they sent a message to the tech to ring the door bell.  Shortly after I received an automated text that they have to reschedule due to us being a no show!!!   We arrive at the house and there were 5 adults all at home who would have let them in had they just knocked!!!!  Now one guard says we have to pay for another service fee since we were a no show.

No word back so I call One Guard, they said that they are waiting on proof from Pruitts as to how long there tech actually waited at our house, but they would go ahead and authorize the replacement and work out the fees on the back end.  Get a call, text and email from Pruitts confirming they got the ok to do the work and to call them back to schedule.  Call them and get their answering service who says that they will call us back to schedule.  Dont hear anything so we call them and they tell us they are waiting for One Guard to authorize it!!!  WHAT??? You called us confirming it was authorized.  I called them back again to show them proof, again told I would be called back....still have no heard back.

Total joke, my home warranty sent these guys out to repair a shower valve. They were late to the first appointment, the a few weeks later, another appointment, the guy shows up with the part. After cutting a hole in my wall, the guy can't figure out how to turn off the water to the house. He has my wife calling me at work to help the guy. Seriously, who is the plumber. Long story longer, the guy cut a whole in my wall that I have to fix, he didn't fix the valve, and they lied to the warranty company and told them the job was complete. Unbelievable.

2 toliets had different issues. Communication throughout the process was great. They did fix the toliets, but indirectly ended up creating a new and major issue. The water heater failed with a puddle of water at the base, likely due to the closing and opening of the main house water line whilst fixing the tolilets. However, they would not prioritize looking at and fixing/replacing of the water heater - we had to take cold showers whilst temps outside were below 50 degrees F. I called another company. They lost out on making money on a new water heater.

We recently had Pruitt's Plumbing at our house to fix a water heater. They were enlisted on this job through our home warranty, Fidelity National. The first 2 times techs were sent out, they were unable to get the heater running again because they did not have the parts. The 3rd time a tech came out he installed the part in the early afternoon. I was out of town 1800 miles away. Later that afternoon my gf called me and said she smelled gas. A neighbor came over and said he smelled gas too. At this point the gas to the heater was shutoff. The gf was put on endless hold when she called Pruitt's and got no response. I called and spoke with a woman who said she was in charge of sending techs out. This was at 4:15 p.m. She said she had no one to send out and we should call the gas utility to shutoff the gas to the house. She said someone would come out between 10:00 and 5:00 the next day. Keep in mind they advertise having 24/7 365 service. After a very heated discussion, this clown of a manager (I am refraining from using her name) refused to send somebody out to address a gas leak on a job her company had worked on a few hours earlier. A different tech did come out the next day and said there were loose connections on the heater. He said the new part had not been installed properly and he would address this with the previous tech. It should be noted the techs that came out to the house were nice, considerate guys. The lack of parts was not their fault.

The bottom line is this company is ridiculous. We were without hot water for several days! Don't hire them to fix even a leaky faucet. Customer service is not a priority.  Don't just take my word, read other reviews.

I hate one star reviews and I especially hate it when the business gives me no choice.

We had to go through Pruitt's because of our home warranty. We had a leak in our sink. They came out, then had to come back out once the part came in. On their second visit to install the part, they left and our sink wouldn't turn on cold water. Only scalding hot water. We have two small children. I called that day letting them know. They gave me the run around saying they'd call me back. They didn't. I proceeded to call 3-4 more times, texted them and never once got an answer from them on plans to fix it (either to tell me what to do or come back out.) meanwhile my two small children are getting scalded because the kitchen sink water is only scalding hot. Today I called back again (after calling and only getting their answering service for five times). They proceed to tell me I'm going to have to put in a new work order for my home owners. It's their mistake! I then asked to speak to a supervisor and after being on hold for over 10 minutes she came back on and explained I need to go under my sink and turn a lever. Why she didn't tell me this over a week ago? Why I had to ask to speak to a supervisor because they were making me submit a NEW work order. The fact that the technician forget to do such a basic thing when fixing our sink is one issue, but the lack of customer service, the multiple calls to them and the full run around makes it in acceptable and me writing this review. I do not recommend using this service.

I would NEVER recommend Pruitt's Plumbing.  Their tech came out for a warranty review of my tankless water heaters when one stopped running and both were listed as leaking by my prior plumber.  The Pruitt's Plumbing tech told my house sitter the units should be replaced, but then reported they were both working fine so the warranty company would not authorize repair.  I requested and got a 2nd company to review who found one unit was not working.  Very disappointed in Pruitt's Plumbing

Pruitt's was sent to us through our Home Warranty.  Jamison and his co worker were friendly and explained everything to us in detail about our water heater connection.  He FT with his boss showing him our problem and called our Home Warranty company to find out if the issue was covered.  It was a pleasure to have them in our home.  The put on masks for us as well.

Great guys...

Came to fix leaking pipe in wall. Didn't resolve the issue so had to return the following day. Once drywall had been replaced and wall repainted the leak started again. Do not recommend. Poor quality and ultimately cost me a ton of money

They were extremely communicative, quick to call and set up my appointment. The day of I received a text and call from them, as well as link to follow the technician while in route. The tech was extremely friendly and fixed my water heater and sinks very quickly. Was an overall great experience. Thanks so much!

I don't like slamming a company, but this was a terrible experience. First American Home Warranty sent Pruitts out to fix a leaky kitchen sink. The technician arrived and bend the existing faucet while removing it, then said he would have to order another one. Over a week later they came back with a new faucet, and then the technician injured himself during the installation process. Further, he broke off the pipe at the threads in the wall, leaving the water off and calling in another set of technicians to fix the problem. The other plumbers arrived and could not get the broken piece out, then called their manager where he told us to go to a hotel over the next few days and they would provide an estimate for a whole home repipe (which was ~$9k). I have children and livestock, and the very idea of us having to go to a hotel at our expense and leave our animals to fend for themselves without water was not an acceptable solution. I have been trying to contact them all weekend, with no answer or resolution, and now will be filing a claim with ROC.
Beware of Pruitts Plumbing!

If no stars was an option I would select it.
Pruitt's has been working on the repair of my water heater for over 2 1/2  months.  They have visited the property over 12 times.
It is incomprehensible that it takes this long to diagnose and address a problem with a water heater.
Shame on you Pruitt's!

Pruitt's was sent by our home warranty company One Guard to resolve a leak under our kitchen sink.  The first technician said he could find nothing wrong to fix and left.  I called Pruitt's back because we still had water leaking.  The next technician fiddled with the drain lines from the ice maker and said that was the cause of our leak.  A special would need to be ordered!  My son took a picture of a damp fitting which I provided to Pruitt's.  After the technician left we experienced a flood of water in our cabinet and out onto the floor. Pruitt's returned and tore apart the cabinet to gain access and mentioned they knew a cabinet firm that could repair it.  All the time they kept asking about home insurance.  A long and sad story short, we called another plumbing company that resolved the problem in 15 minutes and without any special parts!

No NO NOOOO.

Middle of a pandemic the guy, Kurt, shows up with no mask on.  He takes a couple pictures and says its the dishwasher supply line. I said yes, I know that's what I told your appointment setter

He said they didn't have one on the truck.  It would be about 4 days.  4 days.  4 DAYS??!!!?!?!?!?!

He explained that my warranty company would actually pay them twice if they came back out. I asked him to go and said I'm not going to help you guys charge my warranty company twice. He stomped down the stairs in his dirty boots on our tan carpet and said this isn't my problem anymore

I went to Home Depot and bought a universal dishwasher supply line kit for 17.99 and took me 2 hours to install it, but its done.

It took 8 days to come out for a problem with my water heater. When they came out they put in couple of pats in and left with out making sure it was working. When I call them back they said it would be 7 more days before they could come back out. I had to hire someone else to fix it.  Would not recommend!!!!!! Very bad customer service!!!

Our irrigation system wasn't getting any water from the main line.  Since we had just moved in, we didn't know anything about the system.  We had a MAJOR plumbing company come out, and the guy couldn't figure out what was wrong.  Josh with Pruitt's identified the issue (a piece was installed backwards!) within 30 seconds of seeing it, and fixed it within an hour.  I cannot say enough about the excellent service we received.

Thank you Josh and Pruitt's Plumbing.

Worst plumbing company ever. I made a claim through One Guard home warranty due to a leaking tank on top and bottom.  Pruitt's was given the contract through One Guard and couldn't get out to my house for four days. My tank continued to leak for the duration as it turned out the shut off valve was also shot.  The plumber that responded to my house who was extremely nice and professional advised the water heater was in fact done and a new water heater would need to be ordered from One Guard. The following Tuesday ( 7 days later) Pruitt's called to let me know they had the water heater and advised they couldn't install it for another week (Monday).  Basically they are telling me because I am going through a warranty company I would be going another week without hot water.  I called Pruitt's back and told them I had a leaking water heater and they said they could have a tech out within two hours to diagnose and repair or replace.  If you are using Pruitt's as a result of a Home Warranty claim, call your provider back and ask them to change contractors. Pruitt's doesn't care about you or your job if going through a home warranty company.  They admitted to me on the phone they could be out to install the water heater within two hours if I wasn't going through a warranty provider.  The water heater still hasn't been installed and the complaint has been escalated through One Guard. In summary, if you are going through a warranty provider, this company doesn't give two craps about you.

Company came out today to look at our water heater that had gone out over night. They only sent a guy out to look at the issue, not to replace it, but couldn't get out until Tuesday (5 days later) to replace it. In the mean time the tech that had come out and talked with my mother in law had sold her on a (he needed a special fitting) that would be an extra $175, not covered under the home warranty plan. Obviously they had no idea I am a General contactor and can call them on their bull $#it. Unethical business practice amd i would severely warn anyone who's planning on using them to beware.. if they tried it with us, how many have they gotten away with??

This company came out on 10/28/20 to repair a leaking shut off value, the line coming out of the wall was cut to short so the value is inside the drywall and can not be sealed properly. Never came back to fix it and was told to call my home warranty again. Again on 03/10/21 they came out to fix a weak in ceiling pipes fixed 2 weeks but still leaking. The technician cut the cold water line to the bathtub and left it. said hed contact his office to come back out and repair never did. so if you turn on the shower the water pours from ceiling in laundry room where pipe was cut. called them again and said that wasnt in notes, than got tech on line and he said he did remember that, but told to do a recall with warranty again. so pay $150 in deductables from warranty and nothing fixed. worst customer service and workmanship i've seen. don't use this company.

Our home warranty company sent Pruitt's out to fix a leak. They arrived hours after my husband called to assess the situation. Apparently our warranty only covers up to $500 in repairs and this was a pricey one! So, we did what anyone would do and got quotes from a couple other companies to make sure we weren't getting ripped off by a warranty referred company.

They came in $500 less than everyone else plus we got to take $500 off with the warranty so obviously that wasn't the case. They were back two days later and completely resolved our issues! I will use them again!

We had an outside faucet replaced because the pipe leading to it had broken and leaked into the house. When the plumber who did the install turned on our water after the repair, water sprayed  into our house...he fixed that.
The faucet is securely in place and works well (thank you!); however, its base does not cover the hole in the outside wall. Water and air are able to get into the house quite easily.  The screws that connect the faucet to the house are not aligned properly. The installer left it that way.
A senior plumber came out for a follow up evaluation. After looking at the faucet he said it is securely installed (I know that) and that it is paid for (I know that, too) and that the installer did not even mess up our stucco during the install (no professional plumber should mess up stucco). He said he could caulk around the faucet base.
It is solid and works well but it looks like a 10 year old installed it. No thanks, I'll caulk it myself.

Five hour window to arrive. Arrived late.  First thing Kyle said when I opened the door, did you send  a copy of your inspection to your home warranty company? No, I personally did not. We can't do the job then . By the way Kyle it wasn't needed, you lied. These guys came to my home with no intention of doing any work. I do believe these guys are home warranty scammers.

They're terrible. Still.

Home warranty sent them again. They arrived 2 hours after their 4 hour window. They would not replace anything and said they would call with a price quote to replace the broken pipes with stainless steel.  Four weeks later, still no call and no follow up to fix the issue.

(We called a different company [CLW plumbing] and had it fixed same day, no hassle. No further broken plumbing or drama)

Jamison was outstanding throughout the duration of the work done to remove and replace my leaky water heater that caused massive damage to my home. He was professional, friendly, and thorough in his explanations throughout the process. He let me know up front all of the expenses and had great communication with the office who also confirmed the work necessary, price, and the timeframe getting it done. I greatly appreciate his expertise and was glad that Danni was able to schedule him to be the one to return to complete this install a week later, per my request. He is an excellent representation of Pruitts Plumbing and I have been completely satisfied with the service. I will continue to use them going forward and highly recommend them without hesitation.

Pruitt's was referred to us by AHS to address our water heater leakage.  It took 4 days for our appointment.  The tech was to arrive between 12 noon and 5p.  He did not arrive until 7p, without any call to notify us that he would be late, or why.  He diagnosed that we needed a new water heater, which had to be approved by AHS (understandably).  He then proceeded to have us sign a BLANK quote sheet saying we were responsible for all additional work not covered by AHS. The quote sheet did not define what the work was nor what the work would cost, but he wanted us to sign it anyway in order to proceed.  Are you kidding me???? He refused to continue with the work order if we did not. I was calling AHS to review the covered work he was going to charge us for, but he refused to wait and left, saying he would not file a report for the service call.  Still waiting for a plumber to fix the water heater.

Water heater thermal coupler went out. Call home warranty company and they connected me with this fly by night plumbi company. When I talked to the lady on the phone I told her it was the thermal coupler. they sent a guy out two days later. Was supposed to be here between 12:00- 5:00 pm. Arrived at 6:30. Looked at the heater and decided it was a gas valve. This was on a Friday night. Monday I called to see when they would be back the guy in parts Said he would call when he knew more. The next day I called ( Tuesday) left a message. Never heard back. Wednesday I called left another message nothing. Finally I called my plumber they were out in two hours had the part( a thermal coupler) and fixed the water heater. Two weeks later Pruitts finally called me and said the part was in. Three weeks after the initial contact. three week for a 10.00 dollar item you can get at any hardware store. Stay away from this company Unless you want to be weeks without your plumbing fixed!!!!

This company ruined our house with a plumbing fix install that we were told by some of the actual people that were part of it all was done incorrectly. They removed the evidence while we were away so ....  bit our do sitter took photos. The install failed and the main water line flooded our whole house with our dogs inside. They did take liability for it but and mistakes happen. But the worst part for us was the owner never bother to call or say anything to us.

We came home on a friday night with no where to live and no one even called us back from the company. Thank goodness for our folks. We were away getting married and came home to this. It was awful. 7 months later we got to move home but still fixing things and financially will take a long time to recover. Personal property loss was terrible as well.

We dropped Service One because they use them for service and as bad as their reviews are I can't support a company who would send then to people's homes. Be aware.

Beware!! If it was possible to give this company negative stars I would!! This company does not provide service when they schedule it. Also,  they have 9 negative reviews and 3 complaints with the Better Business Bureau. Make that 4 complaints, as I will be filing a 4th complaint.

This company was authorized to fix an outdoor leak to a hose pipe in the front of my rental property. I was called early on 11/10 to let me know that a technician would be onsite between 1 and 5 PM that day. I received a phone call at 3 PM on the same day to say that the technician was enroute to my property. I was out of town and request phone notification on the status of the service - I received no phone notification or update. I contacted the company the same day at 7 PM to ask about the status. I was told someone would get back to me.

Fast forward to 11/11, I return home and discover that the pipe still leaks. My response is extreme frustration and anger,  because no one from the company communicated the status of the leak and that it was not fixed. I am not even sure if they showed up to my property - AND it has now been 72 hours without water to my house.

I contact the company and I am very upset and I get a call back from Chris a Supervisor for the company who proceeds to tell me he doesn't do service calls on Saturdays or Sundays and he mainly services the East Valley and has no information to share about my property. After getting tired of the run around with this company, I lost it and cussed not at him but at the situation. He offers to come and fix it and then I receive a call from a supervisor named Mike who says he will not provide service because I cussed. Well lets grow and run a business shall we?

I have every right to be upset and instead of offering to make it right he refuses to even tell me what happened to my property. Use caution with this company and do your homework! They have a very bad business rating on Yelp, Google, and Better Business Bureau. I hope this doesn't happen to you. Because my time as with your time is VALUABLE and should not be wasted especially by a company who advertises a service that they do not deliver. Save yourself a headache and do not do business with them. Share with your family and friends! No one should have to go through the run around or be treated that way.

We have an American Home Shield home warranty policy, so when there's a plumbing issue, they send out Pruitt's Plumbing. We have little choice in the selection of plumbers while having a warranty policy with American Home Shield, so we are stuck with whomever they send out. Beware of these people they are on the low end of the plumbing industry. Don't use them ever if you have other choices. They have no clue what customer service is.The first issue was our HWH was leaking, so we called AHS. Then we are supposed to get a call from Pruitt's to schedule service. They do contact us.It is usually a week or more for them to show up. When the guy showed up, he starts looking for extra charges. This guy didn't like his job,  his job was to disconnect the HWH, and remove it. Before long , he was  was giving us quotes on all these up charges. Examples: A copper overflow pipe, that costs $16.00 at Lowe's, this  man quoted us $130.00. In addition, he could have could have used the existing one ,but refused to siting  the warranty would be void. Then there's the pedestal that the HWH sits on. They wanted $300 for a pedestal that costs $45.00 at Lowe's.( we got the one at Lowe's) And there's the flexible gas line, he refused to use the existing one. They were asking and additional $60.00 for the part that could be purchased for $7.00 at the local hardware store. This guy finished the  removal, and I asked him if he had the new hot water heater with him, and he said that they would come in a few days to install the new one. He had an attitude, and said he wanted to become an airplane mechanic in California. OK. Two days later another crew showed up, and completed the job. I had to find out on my own if it was going to work or not. Problem solved, but what a struggle. Next claim is for a garbage disposal that is corroded and leaking water, and makes a very loud noise when running.
We were scheduled for service between 10 and 2. No one showed up. We called Pruitt's, and they said there was an Emergency and they would come between 2 and 5. An serviceman showed up at 3PM. He looked  at the disposal, and said it was fine, even though you could see the rust and how the seams were corroded. When you turn it on and run water through it it doesn't leak. When the disposal is off, and the sink has water in it and you pull the drain plug, the water will leak through the disposal seams. This kid would not acknowledge that, and admitted  that our disposal made a loud noise.
It was close to quitting time, so I suspect he just wanted to go home. We called Pruitt's and they are sending another plumber out on Monday. We also called American Home Shield to file a complaint. Avoid Pruitt's at all costs, they collect their service fee, but you have to struggle with them to get the work done. They just don't care!! Stay tuned....

AHS warranty set me up with Pruitt's Plumbing when I had a water heater issue.  I can't say enough about their timeliness in their initial response
(less than 90 minutes) and setting up their initial appointment within an hour time frame.  Loved that the office dispatch called when the tech
(Jerod) was on the way.  He was very professional and friendly, answered all my questions and determined it needed to be replaced.  Called and got OK and set up my install appointment right then and there.  I was highly satisfied with the work that was done and their communication with me as a customer.

I don't understand how they are still in business or why our home warranty would send a contractor like this to their clients. It took 4-5 visits to fix the problem because they had the wrong parts or didn't have the right tools etc etc. Office staff is incredibly rude. They don't listen to your questions, talk over you and will put you on hold (multiple times, for over an hour) if they decide they don't want to do their job. We will never allow them into our home again. We will be paying plumbing costs out of pocket (even though the issue is covered by our warranty) just to avoid having to deal with Pruitts.

Our property management had to contact them because our faucet broke off and our sink was leaking. Surprisingly they had contacted us pretty fast, and i was even surprised by the tracking they have when sending a tech to your home.
The guy who came to our home on 7/3 told my husband our sink wasn't leaking (tell that to the puddle on the kitchen floor when I was trying to defrost something) and that he had to order a piece from Amazon to fix our sink and then once it came in they'd be in touch.
I tried contacting the company on 7/13 to follow up and see what the issue is. The hold time was over 10 mins and you cannot get through to anyone. The property management company had to get a hold of them, it took 3 days for them to return our property management a phone call for THEM to tell her the faucet is under warranty and that she needed to approve the part and it'd take 7-10 days for it to be shipped to us. If the plumber did his job the FIRST time and relayed that message we wouldn't have had to wait almost an entire month to get this fixed.
They called me around 7/20 to schedule a plumber to come fix it, I explained that it was the plumbers fault for not relaying the message and we were still waiting for the part. They said they'd follow up that following Monday. They never did.
The part came in on 7/30 and after MULTIPLE times trying to contact this vendor I couldn't get through to anyone. My husband ended up fixing it himself.

Do not call this vendor, or if your home warranty works with them switch home warranties.

Gotta love when they need 4 appointments just to get the right diagnosis and correct part to fix the issue. I'm pretty sure I could have just gone to Lowe's and got the right part in one trip. These guys can't get their team to your property on time and they don't carry the right parts. Even when they come back the next time, they still don't have the right parts. Don't waste your time. Hire anyone else. We have had a hole in our ceiling for weeks. At least they cut out the black mold (but they did leave it in our trash can). Ugh.

The only reason I am giving this company such a low review is because, of their customer support. I was on hold for 10 mins and when I spoke with a girl name Angela, she was extremely Rude and very empathetic. All I wanted was a copy of my invoice {which was never left at the home} I was treated like I was bothering her! She put me on hold , which placed me back at automated services. Then when I got through Again and asked for a supervisor she said she had no idea when they would be back from lunch and would have them call me back. Extremely unprofessional for such a big company! I had higher expectations since I have rentals homes that need service and wanted a reliable company.
Please remember this has no reflection on the work. Just don't expect much after its done.

I have to say, I was concerned after reading a few of the posts for this company. I was referred to them by my home warranty company, one guard. I have had three visits so far by three different plumbers from this company. All of my experiences have been great. The first was Javier. He was honest and nice and explained the situation. Didn't try to over sell anything. Just did a great job of proper diagnosis and and then the second guy came back and fixed the problem. I had a new problem today and Kenney came out and diagnosed the problem quickly and had the part on his truck. A few minutes later he had it fixed. Again, I don't know why others had problems and I'm sorry you did but the home warranty company says they have good reviews and I had three good experiences. I hope this helps.

This company is full of false promises, they can't come out and install when promised and they are refusing to give us our warranty information for our heater. They literally hold you hostage. 0 zero stars

Our service technician Adam was at our home today to address a very custom drain attachment for a stand alone tub.  Adam had previously ordered the required parts and had to customize the installation for it to work properly.  Adam was very creative and had to think out of the box to craft the final solution.  He took his time and insured that the installation was correct and will work properly.  I highly recommend Adam for his service and dedication to customer service.

Extremely disappointed in Pruitts plumbing.  My water heater burst this morning-I called Pruitts because they had installed it 3 1/2 years ago.  They came out and while the unit is under warranty, they wanted over $800.00 to replace.  That sounded very high to me so I told them I wanted to get a 2nd estimate.  The technician agreed.  Less than an hour later I received a call from Bud from Pruitts wanting payment of $120.00 for them coming out.  I told him I had explained to the tech that I was getting a 2nd opinion-he said he still needed the $120.00.  I told him I would get back to him.  Kyle the tech called me right after and said he needed the $ and he was coming by to get the check.  I told him that I hadn't decided who to use yet.  The two other company who came out to give me estimates did not charge for their estimates.  Even if Pruitt had been the cheapest or at least reasonable I would not use them due to their policies of charging for an estimate and hassling me for it.  Would not recommend!

Had such an awful experience with this company. I'm giving two stars because at least they didn't flood the whole house, after reading some of their other reviews it technically could have been worse, but what a disaster.
I found out my water heater was rusted out during the inspection while selling an empty condo. Pruitts was brought in to replace it.
First, the charged me $100 to move my washer and dryer, which were in the way of the WH. Fine, but they promised they would put them back too. They did, but flipped them so the dryer door is now blocked by the wall. I asked them to fix it, and they actually made a whole trip to the condo just to leave it exactly the same. I assume they just went to use the bathroom, since they almost made a point out of trashing the bathrooms.. I don't know what else they would have done there that time.
Next, they charged me another $100 extra to move the shelf above the water heater out of the way too, also saying they would put it back as part of the fee. Instead, it was apparently difficult to move so rather than letting me know, they took a hammer to it and broke it off the wall in many pieces, which they left strewn in bits all over the kitchen and living area. Not only did they not waive the $100 fee after destroying the only shelf available for laundry supplies that would obviously have to be replaced, they told me it had to be done because the water heater they got was too big. So I paid $100 for them to smash a shelf off my walls...
Which brings me to the next issue. The area where the WH is is a small nook for the WH, the washer and dryer. The contractor that came in to fix the wall and shelf after Pruitts trashed them said there wouldn't have been any issue getting a WH that was the right size, it was just lazy work. I agree. So now the washer and dryer barely fit, and since they are in backward too the dryer won't open.
Finally, they TRASHED the condo. It was empty and had been professionally cleaned before they started, but by the time their 5 visits were done (there was always a reason they needed another visit) there was garbage, nails, food waste, coffee cups, etc all over the kitchen and living area, the toilet seats and floors were covered in pee stains and hair, the toilets themselves were even worse, it was disgusting. Not normal construction waste, really excessive. We had to have it cleaned again.  When I passed this along to the company, they were not concerned, pretty clear it was standard business. Which is actually the final issue, the customer service! I don't even have words, they were so mean!!

If you do decide to go with Pruitts, be prepared for a lot of extra fees, zero communication, total area and bathroom destruction, and the worst customer service possible when you call (so much attitude!! And I'm a kill you with kindness person, so that doesn't happen to me often). And if they do trash anything or mess up, don't expect them to pay for it. In fact, they'll probably charge you for the work it took to trash it. Never again!!!

The slogan on the side of the trucks should read:  Pruitt - the prissy plumbers.

I was forced to used them on a OneGuard home warranty repair for a difficult leak under my house ( see positive review for Collins Commercial Services.)

The technician would not crawl under the house  even though this was the only way to truly assess and fix the leak.  The supervisor that came out to help the rookie   insisted on drilling a hole through the attached wall of my shed, and another hole through the bathroom floor.  They caused thousands of dollars in repairs, and they didn't even fix the problem.

OneGuard Warranty referred me to Pruitt's Plumbing after I discovered my water heater was leaking.  Fortunately, I had a metal tray beneath the heater that prevented the water from damaging the platform.  When the technician came to the property, he determined that the water heater needed to be replaced.  I was not present when the technician returned to replace the water heater. (Note to self: Never leave Pruitt technicians unsupervised.)  When I returned home that evening, I was shocked by the amount of damage they had done to the platform.  In removing the water heater, they had spilled water all over the platform which made the drywall soggy.  As a result, the drywall seams on the platform were ruined.  When I contacted Pruitt's management to resolve the issue, they refused to accept responsibility for the damage they had done.  I will not be doing business with Pruitt's again.

Erik arrived wearing a mask. He was early, professional and friendly. He assessed the issue and had to clean out some pipes...maybe worst smell I've ever smelled...especially out of a kitchen. I think he was grateful for that mask. Lol. He removed and replaced the items under the sink himself and wiped down the sink like it was when he arrived. It was like he'd never been here (except the lingering smell for a bit...which he took all the stanky stuff with him too). Awesome job! I would highly recommend!

NEVER AGAIN- DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
These guys were out on a call to my house this morning. I have a very similar story to a previous reveiw. The tech first got to my house and immediately said he had a restoration company that could come immediately. I said no, I believe we caught this quick and no need ... just replace the water heater and it will all dry out. its in the garage and was drying pretty fast. He then said we will also  have to replace the tpt over flow valve and the flex lines. I said have at it, we are covered under home warranty. He said this is not covered under home warranty. I said how much is it going to cost? He said 325.00 I said WHAT! , I know for a fact these parts are no where near that cost, you must have a really high mark up. I said I do not wish to have these items replaced. Just replace my water Heater. He said we cannot do that sir, I said my flex hoses are fine and look brand new, the TPT valve is not leaking, I said what if I dont want you to replace those items. He said we will not replace your Hot Water Heater. I said this is Highway Robbery. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager was called and He said this is our policy. I said ok. we will not be having you guys do the work here today, I will hire another company. I have spent the rest of the day battling with American Home Shield. Bottom line .... Pruitts Plumbing is out to try and get every dollar they can to naive home owners, do not use these people.

Called and they made an appointment to come out...said it would be $120.00 to unclogged one drain. I agreed that was fine. They called me and said the tech would be there in 30 mins. He didn't show up for an hour...okay. He was super quiet and got to work. He was here for about an hour and unclogged the drain. Then he tells me that I owe $168 and took my card, ran it and said bye. Never told me what the additional charge was for, never gave me a receipt...na da! Well, that is too bad. Won't ever be using them again. I suggest you do the same. There are LOTS of other companies that would be happy to have your business!

Let me start by saying this review is not based on Martin (techincian), he was very polite and helpful. However the 1 star review is based on the fact that the company he works for up charges parts to unbelievable prices. I understand that companies charge more for parts than you could get them at your local hardware store but when they charge 5 to 6 times more that is just straight robbery and I feel bad for the people they take advantage of or fall victim to this. I am a pipefitter/ plumber by trade and had a water heater leak and needed it to be replaced. Since I have home warranty figured instead of me taking the time to do it might as well use home warranty since I pay for it. After Martin spoke to the home warranty rep he said the water heater would be completely covered but I need to have two hoses and a T&P valve replaced to install the new one. First of all almost all new water heaters come with the T&P valve already installed so you do not buy those separate but ok maybe they brought a water heater without one. The T&P valve cost on the higher side at any local hardware store $20 at most and the hoses need no more than $30 for both. So $50 for parts I'm thinking they will probably up charge them and double the cost and $100 is worth it for me to have someone else do this so I can continue with my busy life. Well he gave me the paper to sign for cost and they were charging $162 for the valve which I almost guarantee came with the water heater and $162 for the two hoses. $364 total for parts that are worth no more than $50 at most. That is insane and just robbery. I told Martin I could run to my shop and grab the parts for him as I have tons of them laying around but he said he couldn't do that. I would not pay that ridiculous amount and told him to not even start the work. The new water heater was only worth $500 and they were charging $364 for 3 tiny parts. He contacted home warranty and they offered to send me a $750 check to find a different contractor or do it myself. I jumped on that option went and bought the water heater and hoses and had the old one out and new one in and running in less than 2 hours and everything completely covered by the $750 home warranty check. DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU OR FAMILY MEMBERS! I can't imagine how bad they rob elderly people or people with no knowledge of plumbing or mechanical things. Stay far far away from these crooks and go with an honest company that is out to help people not just out to get rich. I tipped Martin before he left as this is not his fault and wasted his time to come out and almost felt like I should offer him a job with an honest company.

Doesnt even deserve one star. Dishonest technicians and an owner (Mike) who is willing to call a customer and tell them they are lying.

Back in May my tankless heater needed repairs.  All parts were supplied under warranty by the manufacturer.  Pruitts was hired to exchange all the parts provided.  After they were at my home I had hot water and assumed the job was done.
Fast forward to 3 weeks ago, my unit starts leaking water and throwing the same error codes.  I contacted the manufacturer to see if it was all still under warranty.  Part of their determination is to take photos of the unit.  After they compared my old photos to my new photos they noticed the parts were never exchanged.  They still had the old date stamp on them, so unfortunately it is no longer covered under warranty.
So I contacted Pruitts to help make this situation right and allowed them to do their own investigation.  Upon doing so, they called me and said I was lying about the parts being provided to the tech to do his job.
Im speechless.  I now have nothing under warranty because they did not replace the parts provided and I am stuck with a completely destroyed unit in need of replacing (thousands of dollars in repairs).  Do not trust them!  They are dishonest from top to bottom.

Had them out on a homeowner's warranty case to replace the wax ring between the toilet and the floor. The tech left the job a mess-- grime on the floor, a boot print on my freshly painted wall, and did not set the toilet back on the floor so that the water tank was parallel to the wall-- it is 1/2 inch farther out on the left than the right. I called the company to ask them to send the tech back to straighten the toilet and was told it would cost me $125. I asked why, since this was a homeowner warranty job, and they said that the straightening of the toilet was not covered by the warranty. I pointed out that my house and I did NOT cause the toilet misalignment, that THEIR TECH did and that they should come out and do the job right. They would not budge. I raised Cain with the warranty company and got my service fee back, but I will NEVER EVER again have Pruitt's do any job for me.

Hot water heater needed replacing. We called our home warranty company (One Guard) who sent out Pruitt. When we moved into our home in 2016, the water heater was replaced by Pruitt for no extra cost (we had One Guard then, too).

Pruitt sends out a tech who tells us it needs to be replaced. Tells my husband that there will probably be some out of pocket expenses. My husband replies that he would like the home warranty company to tell us that. No more discussion, no signing off on the mentioned expenses. We then set up an appointment for the replacement a couple days later.

Another tech comes and completes the replacement. When I go out to close the garage door, he says alright, that'll be $125. I made a fuss, saying that replacement should be fully covered under our home warranty. He said that it is, but not the modifications. Um, what? Modifications is basically an excuse for this sorry company to extort extra money from home warranty customers.

All these modifications entail is unnecessarily replacing the connections from the water heater to the house. Here is the kicker: they won't do the job without this added line item!

What makes this even more infuriating is that we got a fully covered (no ridiculous added out of pocket expenses) water heater replacement in 2016 by the SAME company! What is the difference today? They just figured out a way to take advantage of the home warranty customers and increase their profit margins.

I would hazard any customer to steer clear. If your home warranty pushes this company on you, request a different contractor. Shady and manipulative!

Pruitt's Plumbing was sent to my home by my home warranty company (One Guard). I honestly am super pleased with the warranty and what it covers, but the technician that Pruitt's Plumbing sent out was beyond unprofessional. He reeked of cigarette smoke, and was very snarky and condescending to my wife. I thought maybe she was being sensitive so I spoke to him on the phone and he was the same way with me. I know I'm not a plumber but I'm not an idiot. If someone is paying you for a service, at least pretend you want to be there. This guy was so concerned with how I found the leak on our home and all but accused me of causing it, then went on to explain to me how he is basically doing me a favor to fix it. When explaining all of this to the warranty, complete with before and after pictures, they were consistent with what I expected to be covered. He didn't charge me extra for the cut in the wall to access the pipe, which I approved to pay, but in my opinion was out of laziness than niceness. Lastly, there were 2 leaks on the same joint (Moen posi-temp shower valve, hot & cold lines), he fixed one side but refused to fix the other side bc it wasn't leaking bad enough, besides I would have to come from the back side and take out your entire wall to fix that. (See picture) he just didn't want to fix it. I am scheduled to get a second opinion on this and will pay to get it fixed regardless. Long story short - believe the bad reviews and avoid these guys,  I wish I had.

As a business owner I am confused as to why companies like this are still operating. I use yelp and respect reviews good and bad as that's how you can get a general idea of how a business is run. I, like so many people who have reviewed Pruitt's plumbing were referred to them by my home warranty company ( Home Guard , another negative experience). The supervisor at Home Guard insisted that I use Pruitt's telling me how fantastic and timely and professional they were.
I had called about a non lighting pilot light on my water heater. Pruitt's gave me a wait time of four days before they could come out. I explained that I, my wife and two young boys lived in the house with the water heater and no hot water. The woman said is there water running out on the floor, I said no the pilot won't stay lit her reply was well that's not an emergency then. After several calls back and forth between the warranty company and Pruitt's we got an appointment for sometime the next day. The man that showed up was Josh he took apart the pilot and told me that he didn't have the entire part to fix my problem but could rig it to work for the weekend, with a promise he would get/order the part and return on Monday to repair correctly. Before he started the repair he said he had to call his supervisor to get an ok to do the repair. I had to lend him my electrical tape to complete the job. He was done in 20 mins with a promise to be back on Monday, hadn't heard anything back for thee days so called today to check on status. Bud at Pruitt's answered the phone, told him what happened and was told the problem was fixed and that was that, I explained again that the original fix was temporary he told me in the most pedantic way that the job was done. I told him that it was not and that I was going to get another company out to check the work and if it was not up to standard I would take legal action. Bud told me he didn't care what I did and that he'd been taken to court before. Please DO NOT USE Pruitt plumbing. Ask your home warranty company for several contractors and check them here on yelp.

If there were a spot for 0 stars I would have entered it.

This company did a repair that we learned was not completely fixed.  We bought a house and didn't use the tub for over 30 days where they supposedly fixed the leak.  When I called them back the manager basically told me I could pay $96/hr to have them come fix it AGAIN because over 30 days had passed.

I told him that is ridiculous and I asked him why they don't stand behind their work?  He hung up the phone on me!

My kitchen sink was not draining so I got under the sink and unhooked the pipes so that I had access to the pipe that leads straight back behind the sink, all without removing the garbage disposal.  Then I couldn't find my little drain auger, which I assumed wasn't going to be long enough anyway so I called my home warranty company and they sent me a Pruitt's rep.

The lady on the phone said sometime between noon and 3pm.  My wife was home all day.  I got home and they hadn't showed up and I figured they just weren't coming and I had something else to attend to.  They finally showed up around 6:30 when I wasn't home and were rude to my wife.

Then they said that they needed to remove the garbage disposal ($48) to reach the pipe that I got myself access to without removing the garbage disposal. And of course they'd have to replace the garbage disposal ($48 more).  So I ended up paying an extra $96 for them to do something that I easily managed to do myself and I'm not even a plumber.  They used the drain auger and fixed the problem but walked away with far too much of my money.  I still feel like they were just trying to rip me off.

Furthermore, they forgot that we paid them and reported to our home warranty company that we still owed them the service fee. This company should not be in business.

Called my warranty company last Thursday regarding a kitchen faucet problem.  They indicated that I needed a 'referral' (couldn't determine if the problem was covered under my warranty).  They 'highly' recommended Pruitt's Plumbing.  They asked that I wait 24-hours for them to contact me and if I didn't hear anything from them to go ahead and give them a call.  Why do I already feel like I'm going to have to follow up with them.

Sure enough, Friday at 4:30p I have yet to hear from Pruitt's.  I make a call and a woman answers the phone and asks if I can hold.  Sure.  I wait 10+ minutes and then transferred (no person coming back on the line to tell me I'm being transferred) to a generic voicemail.  I leave a message.  No word back.

Today, Monday, I call back at 10am introducing myself and the situation.  The woman who answers the phone asks for the service address.  I provide it and she replies is this about the cancellation in March (maybe April, I forgot that specific part).  No.  I then proceed to go through the story again.

She asks if I would like to make an appointment and the service call would be $120.  I haven't had water in my kitchen since last Thursday and she wants to know if I would like to schedule some service?  I would say they have a lot of 'opportunities' in the providing servicedepartment.
:)

I passed and had my warranty company recommend a new company.  That company called back in 30-minutes.  Let's hope for a better total outcome.

****Note the countless one-star reviews this company has and REQUEST SOMEONE ELSE THROUGH YOUR HOME WARRANTEE

Initially I was hopeful after the home warrantee assigned them, but i'm very disappointed with how they handled things.

Pruitt's came out on April 25 to diagnose a broken garbage disposal. They sent Paul who notified me via phone that the disposal needed to be replaced and that they would be out for a second appointment Friday April 27th to replace it. Mind you, i have a tenant at this property so scheduling a time that is convenient can be a hassle, but I was happy at least they were getting it resolved without cutting corners.

On April 27th the time slot we had was 8 to 12. The tech, Leo, started blowing up both my mom's phones (my co-owner) and my phone at 7 am--AN HOUR before the appointment was even scheduled! I felt that was very inconsiderate. I can understand calling at 7:45, but 7 was just a bit much being in the earlier morning.
Leo decided, contrary to Paul's opinion, that he could fix the disposal by unclogging a foreign object from it. AFTER SCHEDULING A SECOND APPOINTMENT AND WASTING MY TIME, IT WAS A SIMPLE CLOG. I don't feel like it should take a second plumber to recognize a basic foreign-object-clog. I felt that since they had verbally agreed to replace the disposal, that's what should have happened. He literally had a brand new disposal that they had ordered for me that he refused to install.

I talked to Mike, the office manager, and he was rude. He makes the homeowner feel like they are obsolete in the matter and that Pruitt's only concern is the satisfaction of the home warrantee company. He accused me of trying to get a free disposal. The service fee with my warrantee, alone, is 69 dollars. The Waste King disposal I currently have installed retails for 50 dollars on Amazon, I imagine Pruitt's pays a similar price. Thats hardly free, but if there was not a major profit for them, they were not concerned with the home owners' satisfaction.

Called my home warranty because there was a clog in my main water line. They sent Pruitt's Plumbing out the next day. The guy got to our house, popped the cap off our sewer line, looked in the pipe, and proceeded to say the line looked fine and there was nothing that needed to be done. I'm sorry, but the soapy washing machine water that spewed out my toilet the night before tells me something very different. Needless to say, I've contacted my home warranty company, complained, and have another company coming to do the job that Pruitt's failed to do. Would trust a monkey with my plumbing issues before allowing this company back out to my house.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I wish there was a no star rating! They are horrible to work with and their work is shoddy. Had a hot water heater replaced in July and 96 days later, it had a leak. When we spoke to them they stated it is past the 90 day warranty and they wouldn't do anything to help us. The manufacturers of the hot water heater were great - they replaced the hot water heater for free but Pruitts wanted to charge a significant amount for reinstallation. They already had overcharged for the pan on the first go around and retrofitting. Crappy installation to begin with and after calling about where to go from here, we couldn't even get a phone call back. They only care about their bottom line and nothing about their customers - the first go around they stated they couldn't wait  an extra 5 minutes for us to get home until I raised hell. Run, do not walk, away from this company.

Pruitt's has SERIOUS issues.
I have list of COMPLETE FAILS by Pruitt's, but I'll only supply the short list:
1) THURs PM, Hot Water Line breaks, NO hot water in December:  I fill out online report: Almost 2 full days to send out tech... holidays... you know how it is says the phone lady.
2) SAT 6PM: after waiting for full 5hr slot, tech is over an hour late.  (Very nice guy, worked fast)
3) Turns out a big job, tech can't fix on the spot; company will schedule on Monday.
4) Monday: I have to call and call to get any info, and finally almost 5PM Monday, I get: sorry no one is available until Thursday.

A FULL WEEK W/OUT HOT WATER!

HEY! SCOTT PRUITT, when your company starts performing poorly, go help: answer some phones, follow up on jobs, check in on your techs, or even get your hands dirty.  Myself, my wife and another tenant will have been without hot water for a week.

That's on you.

They give you an appointment which would be from 8 AM to noon and then you call back because they haven't showed up at noon, and then they say you're scheduled from noon to one. Well it's 1 o'clock and no Pruitt's Plumbing so I canceled. Their customer service is horrible, they're unprofessional, and they could care less about what you have going on that you've already canceled to have their plumber come out. If you want up good plumber I would suggest looking at the Better Business Bureau because this one is horrible. I've never use them for anything.

I had sewage coming up into my backyard, shower and around my toilet last week. I or my neighbor couldn't use any water or it would come up into my yard, shower or bathroom floor.
The warranty company had Pruitt's come out last Saturday. After a couple of attempts of snaking the sewage pipe outside, the plumber said that there was a complete blockage that the snake couldn't clear. He said perhaps it was a tree root and to determine for sure what it was that a scope needed to be used. He didn't have one and said that he would have to write up a work order for someone to come out on Tuesday because they were closed for the next couple of days. Tuesday came and no  one had called me or come by my place. I called Pruitt's before noon and was told that they had no record of a work order for that day and that the plumber that came out to my house had called in sick that day. I was then told that they were going to call me back. Almost four hours later, I called Pruitt's back because I hadn't heard back from them. I was told that they don't even have scopes and that they spoke to my warranty company and that the warranty company was going to find a company who has them. I was super upset about the plumber lying to me about the scope, about saying that he would schedule for someone come out on Tuesday and I was also upset at the company for saying they would call me back and not following through and for not apologizing about their inept plumber or anything.
And to make things even more infuriating, the warranty company had another plumber come out from a different company (Everything Plumbing) and in less then an hour had the clog cleared. No complete stoppage, no tree root.
Spent almost a week with my apartment being unlivable. My son, dog and I had to stay a couple of nights in a motel for nothing. This whole mess could have been over with if it would have been done correctly.
Never, never dealing with Pruitt's again.

This is the worst plumbing company in the history of plumbing.  They were dispatched to my home by my home warranty company Fidelity. Mike Pruitt is the brother of the owner who is sent to customers homes after they perform major screwed up jobs.  Pruitts came to my home no less than 5 times for a leak they caused after instAlling a sub par faucet that was not approved by me. They cause several leaks under my kitchen cabinet leaving 2 to 3 inches of standing water on 3 occasions.  All of the horrible leaks caused mold. Pruitts was told after each time but failed to remedy my damaged cabinets as a result of their mistakes. All of this happened betWeen September 2019 to January 2020. I have videos of the leaks and damage to my cabinet but Pruitt's said it wasn't their problem.  I filed a complaint with BBB and Pruitts didn't respond too them. I am not preparing to file a lawsuit against them. They think because they are a big companY that they can treat customers any kind of way. I complained to one of their service guys about mold and Javier told me too spray bleach in my cabinet and let it dry out to get rid of mold Pruitts caused. I will get mysellf an attorney and sue them for damaging my property and for causing any illness as a result of mold.

COMPLETELY TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY. We were referred to then by our home warranty company - sent out a tech to replace hose bib even though that wasn't what was leaking. The tech took advantage of me being the only person home and fixed the completely wrong pipe. Our front pipes are still leaking. Called Pruitts and bob (the supervisor- if you can even call him that) was so unprofessional and not helpful whatsoever. He said I don't know what to tell you ma'am when I asked why what was replaced wasn't what was needed to be fixed. He claimed they could not get anyone back out for the next 3 days even though it was their error. A complete joke!!!!!! Stay far away from them.

I have a broken water heater in my commercial office.   I called one plumbing company and they gave me an estimate for over $4800 to replace the water heater because it needed to be custom built, so I found the manufacturer of the current one and found a list of preferred installation contractors in Phoenix.  Pruitt's was on their list.  I called on Wednesday and explained my situation to the receptionist and gave the manufacturer's name, model number, and make of the current water heater.   They told me they'd have someone call me back the next day.

On Monday, I called to see if they had an answer and after being placed on hold for a while, they told me that since they didn't know the capacity of the water heater, they couldn't help me.  I reminded them that I had given them information on my initial call and the receptionist told me that since they didn't have that information they couldn't help me.  I asked sarcastically if she wanted ME to call the manufacturer to get that information and she said yes, but then stated that they don't work on commercial units.  Huh?

Thank you for wasting all of my time.

Company was sent out by our home warranty One Guard. Although they were unable to fix our problem because it ended up being electrical they were very nice. The employees in charge of appointments and dispatch were very friendly. Our technician was also great and tried his hardest to fix our hot water heater. Thank you for the great customer service everyone!

Someone recommended a handyman to me who surprised me with a very high bid for what I thought would be an easy fix to a dripping faucet.  I called my home warranty company and they sent Greg from Pruitt's Plumbing and he gave me the good news that it was in fact an easy fix.  He called the warranty company and got them to send me a check for a new faucet and will come back next week to install it on the same service ticket.

They called me quickly after I filed the service request... they showed up when they said they would, with a call before that they were on their way... Greg was friendly and helpful... I can't tell you how rare service like this is becoming.  An a/c company and a roofing company were scheduled to come the same day and never showed, and I can't get a quote for a garage door from another company even thought I've called them back twice looking for one.

Thank you, Greg and Pruitt's Plumbing for restoring my hope in American business!

1st appointment- misdiagnosed. We have to order a water diverter and/or whatever piece necessary.

2nd appt.-  We were out of that piece, we are going to home depot. Are you serious? Why wouldn't you just drive there get the part then come back and get the job done and done right the first time?
punctual is not in these people's vocabulary- they didn't even come btw, I had to actually goto work... they should try that.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE. Plumbing company that doesn't work on weekends, are you serious? You expect people to miss 3 or 4 days of work for your incompentence? DO NO USE THESE PEOPLE.

He recklessly didn't hook my dishwasher  up to the new one and it poured water all under my sink!!!! Causing so  much water damage! I sent another service request for them to come back and fix the issue and not a single person n got back to me. How unprofessional! I have caLlEd several times and sent an email and not a soul has gotten bacK with me in aNy sort of way. Would not recommend this con many in any way shape  or form.

We had a problem with our shower so called our home warranty company.  Unfortunately they sent out Pruitts.  The plumber came out, determined what we needed then we never heard from him again!  After several texts and 10 days went by we finally called.  They told us that they would require another service call charge and an exorbitant amount of money for parts and labor to do the repair.  Informed me that the service call charge we paid didnt go to them that it went to the warranty company, which was a boldface lie!  Unfortunately I did not do my homework and investigate the company before hand like i usually do because I trusted my warranty company to send me honest people. These people have a terrible rating with yelp and the BBB.  Live and learn!

Technician was more interested in saving face then telling the truth.  He didn't know his work and told me to push a bypass valve on a water softener to possibly correct error in his water heater install, so he would not be responsible for  any fault of the water softener (which he jokingly told me and I did so not taking him seriously). Which I obliged for a whole 7 seconds, because it was silly to me,because there was never an issue with the water softener and didn't seem like it would fix an issue that wasn't there until after he got there and installed the water heater. Turns out if we had just waited another 2 minutes the water would have worked just fine because it just took longer being connected to a water softener. Needless to say,the water softener bypass o ring started to leak a bit,and pruits plumbing wanted nothing to do with fixing it or covering the charges. Left with it leaking and told me it wasn't there problem because they didn't touch it and don't do water softeners.

If I could leave negative stars I would. My mother in law had a water leak under her manufactured home .she is 88 years old and has a home warranty.  The warranty company  Called Pruitt's  plumbing. They contacted me and gave me a 5 hour window when they would be there. After I waited the 5 hours and no phone call I decided to call them. Long story short they say called 10 minutes later and said  They would be there in 8 minutes. I hop in my truck and headed back over there and received another phone call saying they weren't going to make it because they got a flat tire.  Needless to say after all that I don't think I want them working on the house anyway.

I was assigned this plumber through my warranty company.  Took 6 days to get water heater to my house and installed.  Then it cost me another $505.00 because of modifications for the recirculating pump thatsattached to the heater.  So they got paid $1450.00 from warranty company and $505.00 by me!  WTF!!  Entire job took 2 and a half hours.  They get one star because the work looks good but they are way too expensive!!

If I could rate it zero stars I would.  My home Warrenty sent out one plumber who snaked the drain pipe from the floor, but suggested the pipe gets snaked from the roof, since it was an older pipe he wanted to make sure it was cleaned thoroughly.  He didn't have the equipment so my home Warrenty company authorized another company-Pruitts to snake from the roof.  They came out and said if it's working they will charge extra to snake the roof.  I didn't want to pay extra so they left.  I called my home Warrenty company back and they confirmed there wouldn't be an extra cost.  So I called pruitts back and they said there would be an extra cost unless the Warrenty company issued another work order.  I called Warrenty company back - they issued another work order.  I called pruitts back , and they said since the drain is working they would charge extra , even though the previous plumber recommended to snake from the roof.  I spoke with mike who explained it's not good to snake from the roof if you have old pipes because it could cause problems, so if pipe is draining let it be.  If that really was the case why did the first plumber recommend it be done, and also why wasn't this reason communicated in the first conversation I had with pruitt's.  Somehow I don't believe pruitts.  Anyways I cancelled the work order and will never do any business with pruitts.

As a home owner I carry a home warranty on my home through the One Guard Warranty Company which contracts water heater repairs through Pruitt's Plumbing.  Unfortunately, in my opinion, Home Warranty Companies occasionally contract repair work with incompetent repair companies because of cheap pricing. When I say incompetent, I'm being very graceful with my description of Pruitt's Plumbing. Our recent ordeal with Pruitt's left us without hot water for a total of 5 days on two separate occasions and the saga still continues with sporadic shut downs with our hot water heater. Imagine explaining this to your wife while she's bending your ear with profanities while taking a cold shower over and over again. Pruitt's doesn't have the expertise to do a job properly.
Pruitt's will gladly take your money but don't count on professional customer service from their employees or quality performed work. Matter of fact, don't even count on them returning calls when issues or disputes arise.
My wife & I have own 6 different primary residents over the past 35 years and have had experiences with multiple home repair companies and by far, this company has proved itself to be the most inept company I've ever dealt with and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I was referred to this company from our home warranty.  Javier from Pruitt's Plumbing called and hung up after 2 rings.  I called his number back and he said he didn't hear the phone ring.  He proceeded to tell me he was 3 hrs away in the hopes I would cancel.  I didn't.  I told him to call me when he was on his way.  He called back 3 minutes later asking if I had an iPhone.  I told him I didn't and asked why.  He said he was going to video call the problem to see if it can be fixed.  I told him again he needs to come out here.  My washer valve is leaking and there is nothing he can tell me over a video call to get me through it!  Along with, I did not pay my home warranty to do a video call?!!  He then said he was an hour and a half away on another job and my issue sounded urgent so he would move me to his next appt and be out to my home and call before he comes.  I asked what happened to him being 3 hrs away and he said stuttered trying to figure out what to say and then said he looked at his GPS.  He then called 30 minutes later and told me to pay him $180 for him to come out.  I told him he was not creditable and has called me 3 different times to try and get out of coming to my home.  I told him I will report this and released the call.  Do not trust this company.  If I could give no stars I would.

Wish I could give zero stars! Absolutely the worst company. We had to use them through our home warranty to work on our tankless water heater. Ken, the technician they sent out, was clueless and completely incompetent. We had to wait almost 2 weeks for sensors to come in only to find out that it was actually the heating elements that needed replacing. We were told we'd have to wait an additional 10 days for those to come in or we could order and install them ourselves as they'd be here in a day or two if we order. We opted for ordering and paying for them ourselves as we had no hot water and couldn't wait the additional 10 days. Once the elements were installed, we had to call them back out because it still wasn't working. We were told that a fuse blew and were again advised that we needed to get the part ourselves and install because he couldn't be running around town to get parts and had other appointments. We ended up buying all the parts and installing ourselves. Pruitts Plumbing and their technician were completely worthless.

Complete garbage trash of a company. I used them for they were recommended by my homeowners warranty One Guard. I called them and i explained that i believed there was an irrigation leak. They came over just to tell me to call an irrigation company instead. Then the guy that was going to inspect  stated did anyone let you know there is a fee of $96 to come out here and i told him there was no heads up on that AND i told the company prior to coming out that it was irrigation. I called in and told them to listen to the recordings that i was never advised of any fee... just to come over and say they agree it was irrigation and to use someone else. The fee was to repeat my own words back to me on a letter requesting $96 for it. Never use this company. I just requested service and they scheduled Pruitts again and i declined for a different company... to get actual service

We are through Home Guard Warranty Pruitt's has been out to our home to fix kitchen sink 6 times since early January. It's always no part, wrong part. They actually had the new sink sitting on our kitchen counter, service technician ran out to his truck and brought in what was supposed to be the part that we needed. beware! they cause leaks! our old water heater leaked while on vacation and destroyed a lot of our house. Pruitt's was the plumbing repair company through our home warranty. however, after they installed the new water heater, it leaked again the next day! and not a little drip, but spraying water out the top. they came out again and the guy said that it was definitely their fault. they didn't install the water heater correctly and caused it to leak. they covered it but definitely beware! i have one expectation of a plumber, that they install things so they don't leak. they caused us additional days of dry time and stress.

Pruitts plumbing was sent to our house under home warranty for the bathroom issue. Upon their evaluation they determine we need to have a smoke test that they do not offer. After having this done at another cost with the company they recommended we contacted Pruitts back to fix the issue. Despite me telling them what the the problem was they need to be fixed as per the smoke test, they stated they need to come out and do an additional evaluation at cost of $125 that would not go towards the repair with no Guarantee they will be able to fix it on a date as well. Trying to discuss with the person on the phone what exactly needed to be fixed he again stated it would be another $125 for additional evaluation prior to any repairs being done. I found this to be unreasonable and he suggested I contact another plumber if I was not happy with this which I took advice I'm glad I did I would never use Pruitt's plumbing again

These guys are crooks. At my house for hours quoting me $5000 to $8000 because my main and sewer line were cracked and the lines were probably destroyed because of the age of the home. I got a 2nd opinion and had Cool Blew out the same day. A 62 year old man snaked the main line in 10 mins. Lines had zero damage, just a clog with baby wipes. Mike, the Supervisor is a liar and a crook. I also urged my home warranty company to remove them from their vendor list, which they did because they had received similar complaints.

This company was sent out through my home warranty. Perhaps that's why I received such dismissive service vs. a direct call to them, but the end result is the same. I called in a sporadic issue with my plumbing. The tech was here all of 5 minutes telling me stuff it could be and possible fixes, and left. Of course it's still happening. $65 for 5 minutes of advise that I could've looked up on Google.

They responded quickly to check the water heater.  Since it was leaking they recommended replacing it.  The home warranty took care of that but when it came down to changing out the board that the water heater was sitting on, Pruitts answer was you h ave to choices: hire a company to change it or change it yourself.:  I asked them why they dont change it they told me we would be happy to change your install date so you can have time to have it replaced. I told them i have no water heater and so i need to have it installed as scheduled otherwise my wife and 4 children will have to have cold showers!  They just dont care.

We have been referred by One Guard two times in one month. The first one on June 01 when one guy came , who is in charge of Flooding (?) control for Maricopa so he can not spend time but advised us that he will arrange for a follow up person who will dismantle the commode and clean the line properly but it never happened in last one month.
We have blockages after that and We used the Home Depot spiral strings to clear two times but on third issues on 06/30, our expertise didn't work out. So We called One Guard who has deputed Pruitts for follow up. The next man was knowledgeable and told us that they have such great customers all over the Valley who are mainly constipated. His advise is to keep the stuff when blocked for next two days and call One Guard or Pruitts to do the clean up but don't forget to have Home owners Insurance and pay for it.
We don't know about F grading for any concerns before , but I wish these Great Plumbers or who ever hire them should either be placed under ZZZ grading or their license should be immediately cancelled .

I had a problem with my toilet in late September/early October. Pruitts came out and said it was a problem with the pipe under my house. This would require digging through the foundation and was obviously extensive and expensive work. I was going back and forth with my insurance company to cover and Pruitts called my insurance numerous times to help me get coverage. In my opinion this didn't benefit Pruitts at all as I was going to need to get the work done either way and they would get paid one way or the other. Pruitts was patient with me and dealt with my insurance company for almost three months. I would use Pruitts again and recommend them because of this exceptional customer service.

When completing the work they had to dig parts of my backyard and left it looking better than before. They were also very patient with all of my questions.

WARNING: D- rating with BBB. They earned it. 5 of their guys couldn't find the 'clean outs to our house. On the 3rd time at our house Mike Pruitt (owner, Scott's brother) put a camera down the toilet and informed my 83yo mother that because of water in the pipe (a cracked broken pipe???) they couldn't find clean outs HOWEVER, they KNEW they would have to jackhammer the driveway to find and or install pipes; possibly to the street to clear blockage. This would be a $5000.00-$20,000.00 job! This did not include repairing driveway or landscaping. We got a 2nd opinion. The plumber looked at same model homes on our street, found the clean outs and cleared pipes. We went ahead and had the A rated BBB company run their camera through the pipes. ZERO issues! Fee: $500.00. Talked to Mike Callaway GM/Pruitts for refund of $442.00 paid to open blockage and their camera. He wanted to run his own camera to justify refund! I told him all trust was lost and not allowed on property. He was Rude, Condescending, had a stupid answer for everything. Called back the next day to tell me, I didn't want to know the truth!
TRUTH-I would build an outhouse in my backyard before I EVER hired this company!

Mike arrived at our house with instructions from the home warranty company to replace the water heater.  This was after the first service call when they did a flush that they assured would last a year.  Mike came with a terrible attitude.  It was the day before a holiday weekend.  He said it is a LOT of work to replace a water heater and said the issue was the recirculation pump.  He charged us to change the pipe so he could remove the recirculation pump.  The water was still rust color.  We called back the home warranty company and they sent a different company out.  It was determined that it was in fact the water heater and the work done by Pruitt's was unnecessary and felt I shouldn't have been charged.  The second company that came out said any knowledgeable plumber would know recirculation pumps don't rust!  Stay clear of Pruitt's!

I set up a claim with my home warranty company to have a stoppage problem in my guest bathroom fixed.
They contract with Pruitt's. I was notified that same day 1/11/18 that the technician would be out to my home the next day 1/12/18 between noon and 5pm.
Not thrilled with a five hour window, I had to take a half day off work to wait for them.
No one shows by 5pm.
I call the office and I'm told the tech is at the job right before mine, and should be at my home in about 45 minutes.
No one shows.
6:30 i call the office again. Different person answers. She doesn't know where he is, and says she'll take a message:..
At 7pm I get a call from the tech. He proceeds to tell me that he had no idea about my appointment. I tell him I got notice the day before, why didn't he, and that his office knew all about it. He said he didn't refresh his phone screen to see his newest appointments. Um ok...
I see a lot of other reviews here saying that this company doesn't show up for appointments.
I lost half days pay waiting around. Then I had to fight with my home warranty company about getting a credit for the service fee they charge due to this mess. That's pending and unknown. I'm waiting to hear back.
If you ha w a home warranty, request that Pruitt's NOT come to your home. Clearly, as myself and others have experienced. They are commonly NO SHOWS and will waste your time.

If I could give 0 stars I would!  The plumber that came to my house was a thief! My kitchen faucet was leaking and the plumber said it couldn't be fixed (I later learned from the manufacturer that it could be repaired and any reputable plumber would know). My faucet retailed for $399, and I was told it was being replaced with a comparable faucet. What a joke! The faucet he installed was a hunk of junk! I found through research that my crappy replacement faucet retails for $69. This company employs thieves, DO NOT USE!

Should be a zero or negative amount of stars, but I digress to my review....
This company was recommended by my One Guard Home Warranty for a hot water tank leak. The lady scheduling took 3 business days to call to make the appointment. According to my warranty, they should take 1 business day. Then she called me back 3 more times within 10 minutes to change the schedule. We finally agreed to Saturday, 12 - 5pm. At 7:40am Saturday morning, the company calls to confirm my appointment. At 5:05pm, they are no call and no show. I call the company back and state the situation. He takes my name, phone number, address and what the service order details are and says someone will call me shortly. Darrian (unsure of spelling) calls me back within 10 minutes and starts attacking me. After I say hello, he tells me that he is NOT my tech, he doesn't know who my tech is and delays happen. He tells me that he cannot have the tech call me, restating that he has no idea who he is. He then tells me that I just need to sit and wait for the tech and deal with him being late. My husband and I rearranged our schedule to accommodate the tech, and he's now 15 minutes past the 5 hour window and I'm being told that I just need to wait?! Darrian offers no apology, just rude and condescending customer service. We ended the call on terse terms. My husband asked if I got his name because I was going to call our home warranty and ask for a new vendor. I didn't have it, so my husband called him back. He asked for his name, and after the 4th time, Darrian gave it to him. Darrian also was rude to my husband, telling him that we just have to stay at home and wait. He again reiterated that he was not our tech and had no idea who our tech was or what the ETA was. Needless to say, our home warranty has put Pruitt Plumbing on our never assign list and a new vendor will be calling us on Monday.
I cannot speak about their work because they did not show up. But I can state that they are rude and disorganized, and I would never recommend them.

This place is NOT professional. they came over to my house and diagnosed the issue with my water heater: a gas valve. It took a week and a half for the part to arrive but when it finally did they installed it and they realized that it wasn't the gas valve at all. It was the pilot assembly that needed to be replaced. After calling the company every day for an entire week i finally got them to escalate the problem and they ordered a part to be delivered with by the following Monday. That is 3 full weeks to fix a water heater that went out. I had tenants on my property complaining to me day-in and day-out about the cold water meanwhile these people at Pruitt's Plumbing can't do any better than 3 weeks of lead-time. As a customer I became utterly sick of hearing: Sorry sir the parts department can't move any faster than that or the part is coming from the manufacturer out in the Midwest, this is the fastest delivery we have.

After calling multiple times i have a pretty good idea of what the problem is: there are some incompetent technicians who cant figure out plumbing problems to save their lives and they do not have a solid channel of communication to the parts people who actually fulfill orders. This makes it very difficult to get it right the first time and make customers happy. I had a lengthy conversation with OneGuard about why they should drop Pruitt's from their list of companies. Ridiculous.

My home warranty company [AHS] assigned them to repair my water heater on 3/22/19.
Ken came the next Tuesday and replaced the thermocouple. That evening the water heater was again not working, pilot light out.

They came back the next day [Wednesday] and this time Josh replaced the regulator and fully installed the thermocouple that had been left loose by the first tech. The next day AGAIN no hot water, the pilot light was out. At this point we had already been without hot water for a week.
When I called they said they could not come again till Monday, I asked if it was OK to relight the water heater until they could come back. The lady on the line asked someone else and they said keep relighting and if any problems call back. It would not relight so after calling back they scheduled someone for Friday.
Friday Josh found that our model had a safety switch that blew and would have to order the part. At this point my home insurance said they would not cover the installation of this safety switch so I was out 96.00.

The next Wednesday, two weeks without hot water, Ken installs the switch. After the he leaves I shower and do laundry noticing that the water heater did not kick back on with the washer. The pilot is out again. Ken comes back and says that switch blew again and as it is a safety thing no reinstalling another one I need a new tank. But there are modification fees totaling about 321.00.
Also I need to file another service request with my insurance and when they get it he'll tell them its a replace as he knows the case. I have had to use this warranty before and filing a new service request is not how they do it as then I would be charged another service fee for a service that had not been closed because the issue was not resolved.
I called AHS 4/3/19 to find out what they wanted me to do and get the news that Pruitt's Plumbing listed my issue with the water heater as misuse/abuse and AHS will no longer be covering my water heater until a new one is installed.
After checking reviews online and with the BBB I find out that this is a common issue with Pruitt's Plumbing. I will definitely make sure from now on I do not have AHS assign me to Pruitt's, and I will make sure everyone I know hears about how horribly run this company is.

If there is any possible way to give me negative stars, I so would. I have been dealing with this company through my home warranty company and the customer service here is atrocious. The girl who worked the front office Sunny, Is unbelievably rude and her lack of professionalism is astounding. I am not sure if she just doesn't work well with other people or if she just has no common sense at what her job skills should be. She has absolutely no Tect Morris Box when talking to customers and is unable to provide adequate information relating to a customer's recorder. When asked for relevant information pertaining to supervisors and owners she refused .In addition to all that, it took nearly a month for them to replace a part on my instant hot water heater, after being told that it was going to be replaced. Our initial tech came out immediately, then two days later when somebody was supposed to come out to replace it we received another individual to come out to inspect the 1st person's work, Over week passed and I hadn't heard anything so I called to complain with my home warranty company and was told that it was still going to be in it because the part with Stalin order and the parts guy had been out sick. I got called back the next day and was told that a technician would be out that Thursday to complete the repair, and then I didn't hear anything again until Monday when I called my homework to company again to complain. This company is severely incompetent, lacks professionalism, and has absolutely no regard for their customers .

Had an appointment for insufficient hot water in the shower. The tech reported that it probably needed a new cartridge but he was told to soak the current one in vinegar first to see if it worked since he didn't have a new one. I supplied the vinegar and he soaked the part and reassembled the shower. The tech told me this might not work and to call back if it didn't last and the part would be replaced. Sure enough, it didn't last long so I called to scheduled another appointment. I made sure to tell them what the issue was and what I was told at the last appointment. The scheduler pulled up the old notes and said she would make sure they knew what was going on so it could be taken care of at this appointment. They were also scheduled to repair a leak under the sink at this same appointment. I could not be here today so I had someone here to let technician in and be here during the appointment. When I got home neither the sink or the shower had been fixed. When I called Pruitt's I was told that the problem was diagnosed and they had to order a new cartridge for the shower and would be back once the part arrives. As for the sink, apparently he just missed it. It was the same tech today that was here at the last appointment so I have no idea what he was doing for 20-30 min. The part should have been ordered based on their previous notes and they should have repaired it today. It was a complete waste of an appointment and now I am stuck at home with another 5 hour window today so they can come back and fix the sink and yet another one for them to come back and fix the shower.

Bobby and Gearld showed up as promised, did the work very efficiently, were very pleasant to deal with. I had no complaints. The job was to replace a leaking frost free hose bib. To do so they had to open up the wallboard inside the house.  They cleaned up after themselves too. Pruitt's plumbing was sent by my home warranty company and These guys were from the Prescott office, not from Phoenix.

I was introduced to this flim -flam of a company through my Warranty company One Guard . The water heater ruptured and caused much damage to the area at my rental. They sent out a plumber and it needed to be replaced and they said they could send out there general contractor to check the damages of the area. Long story short Red Flags went up and called my Home Owners Insurance they finally dealt with the damage. Told me they  triple bill the insurance companies, and the plumber gets a $1000.00 referral fee. Which is insane and to me is fraud. And said stay away from them. For the repairs, but needed to be fixed so Insurance finally,  took care of it a lot cheaper than there quote. They charge a  bogus  $125 dollar so called modification fee....which nothing needed to be modified.  Just another way to swindle more money out of you. The warranty  paid for the heater thou. Was just a water heater installed with existing wires. I bought a drain pan to prevent future damages and they refused to install which was there. Wanted me to pay $200 dollars for a pan that cost $23 at lowes. Have no faith in there company. And hope was not sabotaged until I can sell the place.

This company seems to be following the too familiar trend of taking advantage of people by talking in circles to the point of confusion. I fortunately did not fall for their over the top claims and fear mongering tactics but I do have a story to tell.
At 7 am on Thursday February 23, I called OneGuard to have a Plumber come to fix a gas leak. Oneguard does not cover testing for the leaks but they would cover the repair, so going through the warranty company seemed like a wise idea. The service call was $69 paid to Oneguard and the leak testing would be additionally paid to Pruitt. Southwest Gas had turned off the gas the day before. OneGuard confirmed with me that the gas was off. I waited until 2:30 pm Thursday for the Plumber from Pruitt to arrive and when he did he said he couldn't test the gas because it was turned off. I had told One Guard the gas had been shut off by Southwest, why was the plumber not prepared?  If they are being called out to test for gas leaks, they should know that the gas may be turned on or it may be turned off. The tech from Pruitt told us that Southwest Gas considered it an urgent situation that we did not have heat nor hot water and that we would most likely be back in business by Monday, which was our expectation going forward. Southwest Gas had left an information sheet for Pruitt about where two leaks were and on Friday February 24 Pruitt returned to test and found five more but they would not fix them because they needed to give me a written estimate and they were going into their weekend. While discussing the issue with Mike Calloway from Pruitt on Friday, he strongly recommended  that it was best to have the entire gas line replaced rather than repaired. Replacement was not covered by the home warranty.  In the meantime, the tenants in my two short term rentals had no hot water and no heat (it was a cold snap in Phoenix at the time). I had to relocate people and cancel two additional weeks of rentals because of the delays and misinformation given to me by Pruitt. If Pruitt had done what they should have done, which was show up prepared and be honest about timelines, I would not have ended up losing so much money.

Pruitt's fastest service yet was when they called to collect $450 for leak detection and they did this without sending an invoice.  We paid the bill and requested an invoice which took me several days of calls and emails before they sent it over. Once I received it, it did not have a proper breakdown of the work done. I was originally told it was charged out by the foot but they did not include that information on the bill. Later I called anonymously to ask how they charge and was told: It's $150 for them to come out and detect the leak but as far as how much it cost that depends on how much work they have to do, how far down the pipes are and what the actual problem is. Then I asked her if they just come out and give whatever price they want since there is no chart or any guidelines for customers to see and she said no, they charge by difficulty of project which can range from a couple hundred to a couple thousand. This was not the information I was given the first time and it seemed unclear. So there was no mention of paying by the foot and she made is seem like the charge to detect leaks was $150. I have since called repeatedly to get clarification on the bill and was told that Mike Calloway would call me back, he never did.

On Monday February 27, 5 days after they had first come by,  I had still not received the estimate for replacement, though I called and emailed Pruitt several times that day to request it. The next day, on Tuesday February 28 after more calls and emails to them, they finally sent me a written estimate for $7800. Based on my previous dealings with them I felt confident that the work would not have started the next day, so I called my own plumber to give an estimate. I originally did not schedule my own plumber to come out to detect the leaks because he couldn't do it until Saturday February 25 which at the time I had thought was too late but with all the delays from Pruitt it would have been fine. My plumber's estimate including the city permit was $1064. The difference between the two estimates was over 600%.

I had my plumber do the replacement and it passed city inspection.  I found out that Pruitt had given me further misinformation and that my heat was not gas so the guests who did opt to stay on at no charge were left thinking that the heat did not work when in fact it would have. Additionally, one of the exterior pipelines that Pruitt wanted to replace went to a clearly non-functioning, unused fireplace. Thanks to my honest plumber for alerting me to that, we did not replace that part of part of the pipe.

Some of the people at this company are slippery. I would stay away.

Do not ever let this company come to your house! They did a repair and absolutely ruined my carpet with no remorse and didn't even offer to come look at it to assess the damage... I sent pics to the owner mike and he threatened to take me court.... Really for a $100 carpet cleaning job??? My home warranty company recommended them and didn't even cover the repair so it ALL came out of my pocket even after the service fee...thanks 1st American home warranty...,it would seem a home warranty company would hire reputable contractors to come take care of your problems, not cause damage.... Very disappointed... Wish there were negative stars

Called my home warranty company for a leak in my bathroom.  Pruitt's called and told me the next available appointment was 2 days away.  I stated that would not work, it was a leak and that I would have to reach out to the home warranty company.  I was not rude or abrasive in anyway.  Pruitt's didn't say a work, they just hung up on me.  Home warranty company was notified and briefed and a different company came out 4 hrs later and resolved the issue.  STAY AWAY!!

It took four visits to stop a tub leak. The repair ended up being as basic as new stems and new seats.

One of their three faulty repairs caused other damage, and then, in fixing that (at my expense) they severely scratched the handle.

And, to make it even worse, they tried to up sell a new valve and fixtures in the process, saying that was necessary to stop the leak.

As it turned out, they were wrong. All that was needed was a plumber who was willing to take the time to do it right.

The final strike against this company was the lack of customer service. I would be promised one thing by one person, then have that taken away by another, all the while being treated like their inability to fix this was somehow my fault.

I debated about rating them two stars because they eventually did fix the leak, but the lack of integrity (denying damage they caused, some untruths told to me by the General Manager in the process, and trying to sell unneeded repairs), the lack of any concern on their part, and the fact that it took four visits to get such a  simple repair done make this a one star company.

Referred to Pruitt's by our Home Warranty, went on line 2 days ago, scheduled a time, received a text that the plumber would be out Aug. 15th between 10 and 11. It was 1:15 so I called and explained I had re-arranged my entire morning for this appointment. I was told NO we have 4 hour windows not 2, explained I received both a call from Nikki, and a text stating we would have service between 10 and 11. The lady who answered, started giving me attitude, she asked for my address, when I attempted to give it to her  she started telling me I was wrong, I stopped her attempted to give her my address again, and she states Stop with your attitude I explained I could call another plumber, and she hung up. WORST customer service ever. I will never do business with a company who has this type of person as its face,

My home warranty co sent them out to fix a leak on my hose bib. When they arrived they said the it would not be covered by my warranty after all and I paid them 96.00 to fix it. 2 weeks later it's leaking again. I call them to come out again and this time they say they have to replace a valve and it will cost 225.00 plus the labor to put it in. They leave to get the valve and I get a call that the it is no longer made, so they will have to come back on Mon  and rebuild the current one. On Mon they never show up or call. After a couple of days I notice my landscaping is dying so I turn the water to the drip system back on ( they turned it off but didn't tell me) and water gushes everywhere because they had cut the pipe leading to the valve. I call a local plumber. He replaces valve with a brand new one which costs 35.00. Whole thing fixed in under 1/2 hour. Pruitt is either incompetent or dishonest, not sure which

Javier from Pruitt's Plumbing came to my home to solve a problem that two other plumbers from other companies before him were unable to accomplish. Our water heater was providing lukewarm water to our bath that would then turn cold and back to warm again. He studied the situation and spotted some old abandoned plumbing that turned out to be a former solar system that years ago serviced our bathroom hot water. The replacement plumbing had water traveling to the other end of the house first then back to our bathroom, traveling over one hundred feet before we used it--no wonder it was lukewarm! Javier has a very analytical mind and will go far in whatever he chooses to do.

I can only say amazing things about Pruitt's plumbing. Number one, they came out at 10 o'clock at night. Number two, they worked relentlessly until the problem was fixed, Which took a few days. Jeremy and his team were amazing. Everything was explained to me in detail in language that made sense to me. Most importantly, their rates were incredibly reasonable. I'm grateful for their work and would most definitely use them again

OneGuard Warranty sent pruitts for a leaking refrigerator. The problem was the plastic tube that is connected to the ice maker had sprung a leak. John cut off the portion that had burst and reconnected the same brittle plastic hose with a metal clamp. A few weeks later the hose burst again, causing many thousands of dollars in damages. Another plumber reviewed the hose and said it should have been replaced. When we spoke with John to ask him why he didn't just replace the 25 cent hose, he claimed I was sent to fix a leak and I did.
If I could give negative stars, I would.

Not sure what happened with the other reviewers, but from my own personal experience, Pruitt's plumbing has been great!  We had another company sent through a home warranty, that misdiagnosed the problem, and dismissed it, saying there was no leak, he couldn't get the handle off, and we just needed some caulking around the shower trim plate.
fast forward, still leaking, we were thinking it was going behind the tile and soaking the wall.  Put another request in to the home warranty company, requested anybody except the original company.  They sent Pruitt's.  The first technician was able to remove the handle and trim plate, saw that the valve was leaking and had been for awhile.  He ordered the parts, 2 days later, Leo came out and installed a new valve.  He had to cut drywall, but made nice clean cuts to make it easy to patch, dig a great job, attention to detail was excellent. He left the work area clean, and everything works great! Thanks Pruitt's!!

WOW (not in a good way)!  I cannot explain the level of frustration I have with this company.  After the home warranty (OneGuard) approved a replacement on my water heater, Pruitt was hired to replace the 40 gallon water heater in my loft.  I travel quite a bit so about a month later, when I finally got to use my house more frequently, I noticed the hot water was not coming down hot, nor have adequate pressure, so I called Pruitt for help.  They did not respond.  I called back after the holidays and after I returned back to my house to see why there was no response but I was told Pruitt has a 30 day guarantee and I need to go back to OneGuard (and likely pay more fees), just to have them check their work??  WTH?  The Warranty on the unit has 05/24/2018, and Pruitt just needs to come verify that the water heater is performing correctly, make adjustments, or whatever else.  I would never willingly hire this company for ANYTHING!  I may have to have a second opinion, and follow up with this post.

Overall good experience. We were having drain issues with kitchen sink / laundry room drain.  Yeah,  not good.  So they sent out a rep and he snaked the drain. After 2 hours,  he declared the issue was resolved. So after he leaves my chick tries to wash a load of  laundry. She watches it initially, for old times sakes, and sure enough it overflows!!!!  Just like the good old days!!!  Oops.  So I called Pruitt's and they scheduled an appt first thing next morning.  They sent out a different dude and he resolved the bs in less than an hour.  He ran a hose down it for 5 minutes to prove he ain't no joke. He stated the original dude missed a second drain.  OK, awesome,  later.

Worst service EVER! My home warrenty company sent them out for a clogged bath tub drain. They sent a plumber out to my house with no drain equipment NOT EVEN A SNAKE! This plumber was scheduled through pruitts plumbing.. He complained that he didnt want to work on a Saturday and questioned my schedule as to why I wasn't available during the week? Really? So he tells me the other plumber who has the drain equipment on his truck will be back in an hour or two. I wait 2 hours. Call pruitts they have no clue why that man would tell me the other guy would come here. Because that guy also does not have the equipment on his truck. So ive been sitting here waiting for no reason. Ive been here waiting since 8am. Its currently 11:30. They now want me to be available this EVENING for the on call plumber. Sometime after THREE PM! And my drain is in pieces! So now I am waiting for  a different company because there is no way I ever want pruitts in my house ever again. I missed a funeral this afternoon because of all of this! A clogged drain? I Definitely DO NOT recommend this company at all. I work in customer service and Im not a fan of complaining about anyone but this was unacceptable!

I'm a tenant and my Landlord used Pruitt's through the Home Warranty Company. Had this been my property and my home warranty, I promise you I would have been A LOT less pleasant than I was towards these people. Our hot water heater stopped working on Tuesday June 26th, they got someone out that day, the gentleman told my husband that they needed to order a part and it would only take a couple of days(mind you this is the week before the 4th of July.) Thursday comes, still no part, we were leaving that Monday to go out of town, and we had someone coming to our house to watch our dogs. Thankfully my father in law managed to get us hot water. Friday, still no part. The call center gals are complete b*tches as well, no sympathy towards any issues. Luckily I spoke with Nikki and she was very sweet, and actually seemed concerned which was a nice change! She told me that she would keep me updated and made a note. Monday comes, and we are leaving for the airport, still no part. Tuesday the 3rd, they call saying they don't have the part but they want to schedule something for Thursday (which didn't make sense because they said they couldn't schedule anything without the part?) we wouldn't be home, so we scheduled it for Friday, these technicians let us know that they had THE WRONG PART! Awesome. So then they ordered the correct part and came out on the 11th. Javier was the technician this time and he was unsure of everything going on (since someone new came every time and there was NO good communication) he was very knowledgeable though, and let me know that this part was not going to fix our problem, FANTASTIC!!! So after taking a shower, and realizing Javier was indeed correct. We called them back, they wanted to send someone out Friday, but I couldn't handle having ANOTHER person there who has no idea what's going on. I requested Javier and he is coming Monday. So all in all so far a SHITTY experience, except for Javier and Nikki! (They deserve raises!) and to be continued on Monday....

They were sent out by our home warranty company.  Everything that they repaired has needed to be fixed again.  They also sold us a tankless hot water heater that was not compatible with our house. They returned to try to correct the problem several times without success, but needing hot water, we contacted another company.  The new company worked with us to fix the issue.  Pruitts had no idea how to correct their initial installation mistakes, much less read the installation specs accurately.  Issues included the incorrect gas pipe diameter, incorrectly placed pipes going from the heater to the recirculation pump, and a recirulatiion pump that was not powerful enough for the size of the recirculation piping in our house.  The last time Pruitts came out to review my complaint to them, they sent two people.  It was classic good cop, bad cop.  The owner of the company tried to shift blame on the homeowner instead of admitting that they sold us a unit that did not meet the specs for the house, or accepting responsibility for their mistake.  He was incredibly rude and disrespectful.   Attempts to contact them after this confrontation were met with them pretending not to know who I was, their needing to research the issue and get back to me.  Of course, they never did.  Their lack of response and lack of expertise to rectify the problem, plus their subpar work in other basic repairs compels me to highly not recommend this company.  If you get assigned them by your warranty company, ask for someone else.

I had to submit a claim with my home warranty company First American. They sent these guys out. I submitted my request with First American at 3 am. Waited until 8 am still hadn't heard anything so I call Pruitt's since they hadn't called yet and asked when they could be out. Tiffany said between 12 and 5 today. I requested the technician call when he's on his way to my house. After sitting around all day at 3 o'clock I run to the store and I'm gone for 20 minutes. Of course the plumber shows up when I'm away luckily he was still there when arrived home. Showed him the broken valve behind the refrigerator. He takes one look and says he doesn't have the replacement part with him. Even though I explained clearly to First American home warranty the issue. He says he can cut the valve off and cap it so it stops leaking. He said he would get the correct part and schedule a return visit. That was Wednesday, Thursday and Friday come and go. Saturday morning at 10 am I  call and see what is going on. I speak to Tiffany again, she looks up my work order again and says she can have someone out there between 12 and 5 on Wednesday. I said NO, I'm off Mondays and Tuesdays and they can send someone then. Tiffany says there booked and can't make it work. I told her I'm off Friday at 2, requested to have someone come then. She said they could have someone there between 12 and 5. I asked why can't they be a little more punctual she said because they don't know how long jobs will take. But somehow they know they're booked for Monday and Tuesday hmmmmm.... Whatever I told her to schedule me for Friday from 12 to 5. I called First American complained and they said they would send another company on Monday. Kind seems like all the company's the warranty company's send don't give a sh!t and know they have the contract and get paid no matter what.

My home warranty company (actually property mgnt since we are renting) keeps sending this company.  I don't know why because it always is a hassle, takes several trips and nothing is done correctly. Right now its February in Phoenix and my hot water tank isn't working- so NO HOT WATER, I reported this on Friday, and the earliest someone can be here is MONDAY? so 4 days with kids and NO HOT WATER, between the home warranty company and pruitts plumbing no one can tell me if this will be fixed monday or what the potential time line is.  I've dealt with this headache of a company before and the work is lowball, substandard.  Last time I needed a new kitchen faucet and the price on amazon was $7- seriously people, you need to do better.  Pruitts is open on Saturday but doesn't have any appointments, I would think NO HOT WATER and children would be an emergency but the perfect storm of a cheap and lazy owner, an even lazier property mgnt company, a bad home warranty company and a plumber who is terrible leaves a family with no hot water for 4 days.

Amazing how many negative reviews!   Well, here's a positive!  Mike arrived on Monday, assessed the underground leak inside the home and was self-assured about the results.  Yes, there was a scheduling delay of one day due to one employee that quit.  Mike C. ... key-man, showed up the following day when we spoke that morning, researched the area identified the hotspot, opened up access under the kitchen sink, explained what would be done, and the materials he would use and the total cost.  Mike C. arrived the next morning around 9:15 with his truck laden with high-tech tools that would determine the destination of the leak.  He 1st cutoff the hot-water into the kitchen sink by cutting the pipe and doing multiple steps to secure a closure device (including acetylene type torch!).  Then he set up a rod outside that was connected to a wire inside... shock protection?... and connected  the RadioDetection RD7000 unit which he walked about the home in search of the water leak beyond the kitchen connection. Cut 2 drywall holes in water heater area to cut pipe and connect this red poly-whatever reinforced UPa-whatever piping then ran the tubing into and across the attic, and down to the Master bath connector hidden in the walk-in closet. . . WHEW!!  Then Mike C. cleaned up while we ate.  Because this was a One-Guard Home warranty assigned company we saved half the cost.  By 12:30 PM, 3 hours later,  Mike was on his way and we had a house that had no holes in the floors, no water damage, and no leaks, but running water without a water meter spinning like a dervish!  I mentioned the tools since I was nosey and looked up online what the devices did.  All in All I was very impressed with Mike C. and the fact there were no hidden charges.  The price quoted was what we paid.  We were lucky to get him since the company is kept quite busy by warranty companies.

This is the worst/ jankiest company I have ever dealt with. The home warranty company had me use them & when you call they give you a 4-5 hr window. I was very clear w the issue @ hand & the first guy they sent, showed @ around 11ish... my window was 8-12 & when he showed, I said there was no way he'd get the job done in 44 mins. He came in looked @ my issues, got a snake out, did some fiddling, then said he doesn't have the right size nor any of the tools on hi WORK TRUCK that are required to do the job. Also, the job was quite extensive & he didn't have the time. So I call & ask to talk to Scott Pruitt (the owner) & the snotty chick who answers the phone flat out tells me no. She says she'll send ANOTHER guy to come fix my issue. He's to come between 1-5..... mind you they close @ 5 so obviously I questioned her timing. He shows @ 445 (do you see the pattern here??) I am livid bc I have wasted an entire day waiting for them. He comes & looks & says that this is an extensive job & he can't do it in 15 mins nor does he have the tools on his work truck!!! I call & lose my shit!!! They say we'll have someone come 1st thing in the morning. Fast forward to the next day, now let me tell you my kitchen & the children's bathroom are completely out of commission.... another dude shows up, I tell him what the other guy says (even gave him a diagram that his co-worker drew) & he treats me like astupid woman who doesn't know what she's talking about . So he fiddled around, tears up my bathroom,  yacks on the phone the whole time, then he too tells me he doesn't have the parts that are needed. So he bails. Comes back sometime later, does some more work then tells me to get a drywall guy & a painter bc they'll rip your house apart, but they don't repair it!!! So I am now @ the end of my rope .... I call & again ask to talk to Scott, this time I get a chick w a Mexican accent who is the epitome of rude & I straight up ask her (after nearly 30 mins trying to get her to put the owner on) if you were a client, would you find any of this acceptable??? She hemmed & hawed & I kept pressing, she finally said no. I said, then why is it ok to treat me this way? She just kept saying ma'am, ma'am w no real response. So I get the walls put back together & was told by the contractor that did the work that the plumber rigged my job & there was a leak. So of course I called them back out..... again having a 4-5 hr window & of course the dude showed 15 mins before the end of the window & says it's fine, but takes a wrench & does an adjustment. So I have the contractor back out ( now I have wasted an entire week w this janky company) so I now have to wait till the following week for them to come bc they don't work weekends. Another scheduled appointment & another dude shows, does a 1/2 ass finish & I am told that I need to get someone else to come & install the sink & vanity bc they don't do that either. He informs me my kitchen is good to go & leaves w out testing anything!!! I turn on my washer & my ENTIRE house began to shake!!!! So again I call & ask to get that guy back out. I am told he's now @ lunch & will be going to another job 1st!!!! I absolutely lose my mind!!! Again, I ask to talk to scott.... I am told no!!! So I say I'll be right down, this is bullshit!!! She scrambles, puts me on hold & then says he's coming now..... I just had to take him off a job yeah ok, he literally just left, was going to lunch, but was already on another job!!! I also told them I was canceling the payment..... to which she scrambled & I then hung up!!!! I will NEVER use this company & the Home warranty company was fully advised of their less than stellar performance!!! Oh in case you're wondering, Scott Pruitt has NEVER returned my call!!! for this shit show!

Pruitt's Plumbing is a terrific company, providing skilled plumbers, great service, and always responsive customer support. They've gone above and beyond every time I've needed them, most recently interceding with a manufacturer to secure warranty service for a faucet that has design flaws that make it come loose and leak.

No one wants to be in a situation where they have to call a plumber. But when you do, these are the guys to call. Highly recommended.

They have 4-hour windows to show up. Scheduled first time, window was 12-4. At 3:45 I  had to reschedule because I had to get back to work. 2nd time, window was 8-12. At 11:50 I called and was told sorry about your wait ma'am. He'll be there as soon as he can. While on this call I get a call from their dispatch saying he will be there in an hour to an hour and a half. So I wasted EIGTH hours for a plumber to not show up and no call at any point to let me know he was running late! Had I not cancelled, it would have been 9-9.5 hours! That's a full day of work I would have lost, NOT including the time it would have taken to do the actual work. I don't know in what world they live in to think this is remotely ok. I asked how they were going to make it right and the supervisor said all I can do is say I'm sorry and he'll be there as soon as he can. Good luck with having them show up on time and give a care if they don't. 0/5 would tell anyone to use these people. 5/5 would tell anyone who mentions plumbing about this story with Pruitts and guaranteed they won't use them. Would you?

This company was sent by One Guard, my home warranty company. I had a leaking shower. On June 12 2018 a technician came out and I am not sure what he did, but this is what he wrote in his report.   master bathroom shower the shower head was leaking on top removed shower head and applied teflon tape and pipe dope screwed the shower head back on no leaks tested and working normal . First my shower has 2 heads. The top of the shower head was not leaking. The shower had a constant drip. So I'm not sure what he thought applying Teflon tape and pipe dope would do to stop the drip. I happened to be away at the time so I am sure he was taking advantage of my wife who had no idea what he was doing. I returned and the shower was still dripping. I called my home warranty company only for them to tell me it has been 4 days past the 30 day period to have them come back out with no charge. I call Pruitt's Plumbing and told them the problem. They told me the same as the home warranty company, but said they would talk to a supervisor. I went to Home Depot and purchased a kit to replace the springs and rubber bushings to replace in the cartridge and the drip stopped. $3.59 was all it took. Seems to me like they will take advantage of anyone that doesn't know any better.

I had an issue with my hot water heater needing new heating elements and/or being replaced every few months. Bobby came out and fixed it again and determined that there must be a cause - Jerry came out within the hour to see if there is a slab leak. Took him minutes to determine that we are running out recirculating pump too long - essentially cooling off the hot water constantly and taxing the hot water heater. Love these guys!!!!! They do a great job and they are trustworthy.

Our water heater was leaking water, so our home warranty company contacted Pruitt's and they were out the same day.  Turns out the water heater stand was also ruined, and Pruitt's recommended DryLux to repair the structural damage.  DryLux was also great, an estimator came out to take a look at 4 pm, and by 8 pm the damage was repaired to the point where Pruitt's could install the new water heater the next morning (full repair will need to wait for homeowner's insurance OK).  Being without hot water is a pain, but if this were to happen again, I could recommend either of these two companies without hesitation.

I had a leaky faucet in the bathroom and needed it fixed. I called our warranty company and Pruitt's technician came to address the issue. The first time he came, the tech mentioned they needed to order the cartridge and the valve. He asked me to order the body parts since the handle and the faucet body needed replacement due to calcium buildup and had scratches when it was removed. I ordered the parts and Pruitt's called me to schedule a second appointment, but when they showed up the second time, they told us they did not have the right part. We wasted four hours that day. I received a call for a third appointment and was told that they have to replace the whole faucet and and would cost additional out of pocket cost, since they had already spent the $250 limit from the warranty company. I told them I did not want to get the work done, since there was no guarantee they will fix the faucet properly.    I had already spent $100 ordering parts and would have to spend $200 more to get the faucet replaced. This was in addition to warranty service call fee. I was frustrated with the lack of explanation given by the technicians when they came initially to look at the faucet and seems like the techs don't know what they are doing. They all depend on one guy at the office for guidance. I have had other plumbing companies who addressed these type of issues at first visit and provide good explanation on what was needed. But, Pruitt's motto seems to rip off customers and not hire qualified techs. They don't care for our time and so far, the worst customer service from a plumbing company.

If I could give negative stars I would. This company does not stand behind the labor of their plumbers. I had two toilets worked on and they insisted it was only one . The work that was done did not work . They were called back to ask for them to come back out, but they did not cover their labor, only parts. I called 6 weeks after the first call. I only waited that long due to my spouse having a heart attack and being hospitalized. The plumber was more concerned that there might be new toilets installed from the home warranty company, leaving behind shoddy work. I strongly recommend not using this company. Keep looking and ask how long labor is guaranteed.

My review not only addresses the accuracy and efficiency of the work done, but also the rep's ability to deal with a less-than-stellar property management company. I live in a condo community and ran into a debacle with management that resulted first in a delay in scheduling the repair, and then a miscommunication on the rescheduled date that could have potentially resulted in further delays. Javier (the Pruitt rep) took the initiative to not only ensure that he was the one assigned to the rescheduled repair date, but to also work with the property management company, the maintenance man, and the surrounding tenants to get the repair done as scheduled. Despite the management company being extremely difficult, he was able to complete the work completely and thoroughly well within the estimated time frame and with no further delays. I have worked with Pruitt's in the past through my home warranty company, and although the Yelp reviews overall appear mixed, I would recommend Javier over the other reps as he definitely went above and beyond.

Do not use this company.  Home warranty company sent them out to remove leaking hot water heater.  The tech who removed it suggested I go buy a drain pan and place it under the new water heater (good advice).  When the installation tech arrived, he told me he was unable to install new HW heater on this drain pan as it needed a drain pipe, per company policy' and offered to install drain pipe for $50.  I phoned Pruitt's office and spoke to Bob, the manager about this.  He told me the pan and drain pipe were a requirement for the City of Phoenix.  When I told him it was NOT city code, he changed his story and said it was required by the home warranty company.  Since I was at work and could not make the necessary calls to verify this, I told him to reschedule the install the next day and hung up the phone.  He proceeded to call me back and tell me there would be a $96 trip charge if the tech returned tomorrow, and it would cost me less money to have the tech install the HW heater today, and put the drain on the pan.  I would not give these crooks a penny!!!!     They are greedy and dishonest and gave me a dented hot water heater on top of all the grief!!  BEWARE!!!!!

Condescending. They're allegedly going to call me when the part comes in. Ha. So am I waiting for their call for a second appointment? Oh, hell no. I already hired someone else as soon as I hung up with them. They're allegedly plumbers, why don't they have parts on their trucks? The plumber (or tech?) who did come out told me that every faucet head (that fills the bathtub) leaks when you switch to the shower head during a shower. He replaced the faucet with a cheap one, which, of course, leaks when you switch it to the shower head, but just a little less. Not fixed. Just leaks less. There's apparently a diverter valve that needs to be installed. The guy at ACE Hardware just laughed when I told him what the plumber told me. So: Couldn't fix the leak, didn't have the part in the truck. Did half-baked repair that didn't stop the water from coming out the tub's faucet head. Incompetent idiots. Went through home warranty company. Will be calling home warranty company to complain and get possible refund on the (lack of service...) service fee. Don't use this company. Waste of your time and money. They act like we (as customers) just fell off the turnip truck. Nope. Been around the block a few times. They're incompetent. Waste of time. They apparently don't care about customer service. Read other reviews, not just mine. Lots of similar experiences noted. How do they even stay in business treating customers like we're idiots?

Pruitt's was sent to my home by One Guard Home Warranty.  They are supposed to call to schedule within 4 hours but by end of business (6 hours) I called because I had not heard from them and left a message with the answering service.  They did not return the call the following morning so I had to call them again in the afternoon to schedule the repair.  Several days later they came out.  Despite the evidence of water leaking under my sink the technician (Rob) indicated he didn't see a leak and couldn't fix something he couldn't find a problem with.  I pushed him to keep looking (water leaking and a vanity full of water is not the same as a phantom noise in a car, it is OBVIOUSLY coming from somewhere).  He finally identified what he thinks is the problem, although based on the volume of water collected I am skeptical, and said I needed to put silicon or caulk around the faucet.  I replied, I think you mean you need to put it around the faucet.  He actually snickered and said not unless you want to pay me $96 for labor.  Ummmm, $96 for labor on something that will take, at best, 2 minutes.  Hilarious.  In reading the reviews now I can see that this is their game, come out for the $69 fee the warranty company pays them and find ways to scam the homeowner out of money.  If they are assigned to your home warranty claim I highly recommend requesting a different company.

They are the worse company ever!!! They have been to my house THREE times to fix my shower water pressure, my sink, and my toilet handle. I still have no water pressure, my toilet handle must be held the entire time of flushing, and they did not fix the sink spout so water still sprays everywhere-oh and did I mention I now have no hot water either which was not an issue before! I called them to complain lets face it they have made three attempts and still cannot get it right! Now they want me to miss work again so they can come out the FOURTH time because they cannot get their job done right!! I spoke to the supervisor Matt today and he made it clear I was going to be inconvenienced again because they will not come out on hours that work for me-this is not considered an on call emergency. It may not be important to Matt or anyone else at Pruitt's plumbing but it is very important to me!!! NEVER use these guys they are clueless as to what they are doing and have zero customer service skills! In today's economy the competition is high use so use your hard earned money on another Plumbing company!

Pruitts was sent out by our home warranty company. They responded within a reasonable time for a water leak but the tech said he could not fix it and he would send out someone else. The tech informed the home warranty company that we put a nail through the PVC pipe while he was there. So not true. It was a cracked PVC elbow in the condensation line. The company that he referred us to said it would cost $650.00 for the repair.

I called another company for a second opinion. My total bill for a cracked PVC elbow $85.00. Do not use this company. They will try and rip you off. Home warranty company is deleting them from their list.

They recommended a restoration company who came out and told me I had water damage seven feet high in my walls and my entire wood floor would have to be replaced from the water damage. Estimating the damage at over $20,000. Again I called for a second opinion. Nope just a small section of drywall, new baseboard and paint.

Buyer beware on this company. I am filing complaints with the BBB and anywhere else I can find these people at.

WE had Pruitt come out to our home for an issue with our water heater-  they were happy to take the money for the service call, but did NOTHING to rectify the issue.  Our issue was the  pilot light going out (at present over a dozen times prior to our call out to Pruitt)-  Since this morning when i had to start the heater manually for hot water, the service person said that the system was working and he would do nothing.  This is after his statement that he was not familiar with this specific brand of water heater.  HE then stated that we would have to wait 3-4 days for the system to be out (waiting for them to return), in order to have him come back out again.  I made clear about the elderly individuals living at the location, but the service person seems not to care at all and still held to the 3-4 days with cold water before he would come out again.  I am appalled that a company would either have a service person like this working for them, and or that a policy like that would be acceptable.  If the issue is the ignition system,   what benefit would we have just replacing a perfectly working ignition system?  we called because it didn't work.  I will be sure to make my feeling known to all that care to listen and i have also raised this issue with the insurance company that contracted Pruitt to make their service calls.

Pruitts came out to clear a main line. They got it done and expressed that within 30 days if we were to have the same problem again they'd come out, clear it and then it might be a good idea to have it scoped. I said wow, really? That is un heard of with companies anymore. Well, never fails, within 30 days I was on the phone calling them and they said to have our home warranty call and open a ticket. I said oh, it's within your 30 day no clogs guarantee. They wouldn't honor their guarantee! They were going to send someone out when my home warranty called them. Now that it's just me they wanted 141.00 to come out after lunch the next day. So I again ask what's up with the 30 day no clog deal? Well we don't have anyone avail for your area and I honestly don't know what the deal really is with the 30 day... But I can get someone out tomorrow for 141.00. Yeah no thanks. I'll tell anyone I can about how they did this and let them make their own assumption. Filing a complaint with BBB. DONT MAKE MY MISTAKE. LOOK AT THE REVIEWS HERE. This company is the worst as far as keeping appoinent times that I have ever dealt with! I originally dealt with them through a home warranty company. They totally waisted my day on the first appointment, because not only did they not show up on time, but I was strung along the whole day only to find out they weren't going to make it out that day, but I would be the first on the list the next day. Well the next day they were supposed to come by 10am & didn't show up till 5:30pm. The next time I tried to deal with them, to follow up on a job, I called 4 days in advance to be scheduled. I told them I want to be the first appointment on the list, & I don't want my day to be waisted. They said no problem. Well, the day of the appoinent they did it again. They were a no show, when I called them, they said it'll be another hour, and still no show. After they never showed up at all from the time frame they gave me, I called them and complained. All they said was they called me and left several messages. That was totally false. My phone has no log of calls from them, and definitely no messages from them. The most unreliable plumbing company I ever dealt with period.

Avoid this company if you can. I had the unfortunate luck of having to have them replace my water heater because they were sent out by my home warranty company. My water heater is a direct vent water heater, and they were told what it was before they came out on a Friday morning. They still managed to bring out a regular water heater and then had to reschedule my installation for Tuesday. They also made us sign off that they would have to modify the drywall and stucco to accommodate the new water heater which would be a totally different size. This would cost me $96 an hour in addition to the $60 charge I had to pay them because it was a home warranty issue. They told me I would also be responsible for the drywall and stucco damage that would have to be fixed after the water heater was installed. They figured they could do the job for an additional 3 hour charge. They also wanted to remove my leaking water heater for 5 days until they could get back out to install the new one. On Tuesday, no one called or showed up. I called Pruitt's, and they said they had not located a direct vent water heater yet. No one bothered to call us to let us know, and my husband had to take time off from work to be at the house for the install. Then they came out on Wednesday with the wrong water heater again. This was the fault of the company that sold them the water heater. After a couple hours, they were able to pick up the correct water heater and the installation began. Low and behold, the new water heater was the exact same size as the old one, so no modification had to be made to the drywall or stucco. The entire installation took just under two hours. Guess who charged me an additional $192 for a modification that didn't even happen? After arguing with them about the extra 2 hour charge, they told us that a regular water heater only takes 15 minutes to install, and because we had a direct vent water heater, we had to pay more. Really? They were replacing what we had. We got nothing extra. We went ahead and paid them on a credit card, but have every intention of pursuing this to get our money back. How do you charge someone for 2 hours of EXTRA work, when the entire job took less than 2 hours to begin with? And why charge for a modification that didn't happen? Look out for this company. They look for ways to rip you off. If your home warranty company sends them out, ask for a different plumbing company to do the work.

I had a hot water heater break down in 11/16.  When I called, they scheduled a replacement time in 2 days.  The manager called me back and walked me through the options.  I was interested in a hybrid water heater and he again discussed the advantages and disadvantages between the different brands.  I chose AO Smith and was scheduled for installation 2-3 days later.  Lonnie was my plumber and was in the process of installing the water heater when I arrived that afternoon.  Unfortunately, the prior water heater was on a raised platform in the garage and did not provide sufficient clearance for the new water heater (the manager was adamant that the clearance had to be as specified for this appliance and would not allow any shortcuts).  Lonnie told me I would need to demolish the platform so that he could install the water heater.  It was now mid-afternoon on a Friday and he had several other service calls to make that afternoon, but he told me to go get some equipment to demolish the water heater, obtain some other plumbing parts, and he would wait.  Before I could return, he had already taken care of the demolition and almost had completed the installation.  He could have left and come back for overtime work on Saturday.  The work was professionally done.  The water heater works great.  The service, particularly by Lonnie, was above and beyond. I would certainly recommend them.  I plan o use them for future plumbing work.

They snaked our drain and charged about $ 90.. This also included replacing a washer on an outdoor hose faucet. They came when they said they would and called when they were on the way. This company has a real person answering the phone to take down your information which makes it easy and efficient to schedule an appt.  I am a fan.

If I could give a minus 10 I would. ABSOLUTELY terrible service, terrible work, terrible staff. I had a leak under my foundation. I called my normal plumber and he told me I needed to get someone with a locator so I called my home warranty company and they sent out this joke of a company. Three different plumbers later after 4 days with no running water in my house because it was over 45,000 gallons of water and still not fixed. The last jerk told me he didn't have the correct tools to complete the job and would have to come back on Monday 2 full days later.  After, multiple phone calls an screaming that jerk returned and fixed the wrong line, and I believe it was on purpose so he could turn around and tell me I had to pay more money to have it fixed. $2400 to start and then another $850 for the second line because according to him it happens sometimes. BS you didn't know what you were doing NONE of the staff did. So  I was not waiting any longer nor would I allow these incompetent people back in my house, I had to call my original plumber to come out and two of them fixed my problem and the additional LEAKS the plumber from Pruitt's created!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!

They were sent to my listing by the Home Warranty Company (One Guard) to fix a toilet that was leaking and would not flush.  Home was vacant.  They came out to do the job j- no communication - Called the next morning to verify it was fixed -No they had to order a part - will be in later in the day -need it done tomorrow - holding up closing.  Called next morning to see if it was being done - No put it on the schedule for the next day - called in the afternoon - yes it is done.  Buyers agent went out - it is not done.  WOW - keep in mind closing is being held up.  They put the part in the wrong toilet even with specific instructions which bathroom.  Had to order the part again - Called me while the plumber was at the house - which bathroom  DUH the one where the toilet does not flush - check them all if you can't figure it out.  This was on Saturday.  I call first thing Monday morning - I need a receipt showing what was done since the buyer is out of state.  Has to get it from accounting.  I advise them again that THEY are holding up our closing.  They don't care.   I was supposed to get it by the end of the business day yesterday - of course I didn't get it.  Started calling this morning - kept getting cut off - phone lines are busy and kept getting sent to operator who kept cutting me off.  Called my One Guard Rep and they called them. Told One Guard I would have it within 2 hours - Guess what - no receipt. So now I am calling One Guard every half hour and they are calling.  Finally someone at One Guard got hold of the owner.  About an hour later I finally got my receipt.   I would definitely NOT recommend them.  I think they sent Melvin out!

Our home warranty has sent Pruitts to our house a number of times for a number of problems.  Our initial experiences with them were so-so at best.  We had a recurring problem with plugged drains which they only fixed temporarily the first 3 times.  About the fourth time, a different guy they sent took the time to search for a main drain that was buried under landscape gravel and fixed the problem.  In comparison to the past drones they sent out, this guy at least seemed to give a damn.  I called Pruitts to let his company know that he did a good job.  They were confused by my call and weren't sure what to say.  Our more recent experience with them was really poor.  We had toilets running and an issue with water pressure dropping.  The first guy that came out said he would have to order parts for the toilets and promised to call us in 2 days.  No call back, and in fact, when we called Pruitts 4 days later, they told me that the job was done, the work order closed and they had no record of anything on order.  They had done absolutely NOTHING!  They sent someone else out (now a week after the first visit) who told us the exact same thing.... need to order parts, call you back in 2 days...unfortunately with the exact same result.  We had to call them back a week later to check if they were ever going to fix our toilets.  When they did finally send someone out, he was surly (either hung-over or just really hated his job) and dripped water from the toilets in a trail from one bathroom to the next.   The kicker was that they told us (twice) our water pressure problem would require replacement of a $600 water pressure regulator.  When we got a competent plumber from a different company to come in (Pruitt's never did give us a quote for the work, despite 2 requests), it took him less than 15 minutes to show me that the pressure regulator was fine and diagnosed the problem in the water softener that was causing pressure to drop.  We asked our home warranty company never to send Pruitts to our home again.  They wasted a lot of our time, money and would have done $600 worth of unnecessary work if they were organized enough to follow-up on multiple requests for quotes for the job.
