We had a ceiling fan installed on our high ceiling-- and couldn't be happier we went with Xpert Electric. After dealing with a recommended electrician who wouldn't even return phone calls to schedule an initial consultation-- I had gotten frustrated and turned to Yelp. Found Xpert  and Submitted the job request. Within 2 hours I had been contacted by Kim. Her  level of customer service was above and beyond. Especially now a days. Henry and Jake arrived at the expected time slot  and were very professional. They referenced a  standard pricing book so you don't feel like the pricing is made up. They even needed an unexpected part as they started working and that was no problem since they come with a parts van. I can't recommend them enough. Thank you for your services!!

Serge came over at the exact time we agreed with. His work is very organize and detailed.

The installation of mounting a TV and Sonos Playbar was less than an hour. He brings tools that are necessary for Metal & wood studs and makes his job very clean. His prices are very reasonable I will hire him again if I need some good work on my walls in the future.

We called this company based on Yelp reviews in a pinch when the old chandelier in our new house caught fire at 7:30 pm on a weekday. No kidding. We looked at 24-hour electricians with five-star reviews and Fuentes was one of them. I called, Jamie answered, I told him the issue and that I wanted the chandelier removed tonight and to go to sleep knowing there wasn't a wiring issue I needed to worry about overnight. He gave me a reasonable price to come over and diagnose the problem and said it would cost a bit more to install a new light and dimmer (once he got here and he figured out what the problem was). He was prompt, knowledgeable, friendly, and informative. We will definitely call again! Highly recommended.

We lost power on Christmas Day. After ConEdison was unable to resolve the issue, Dennis and team came to help us on short notice, with great responsiveness and courtesy. For a very reasonable price, York fixed our problem quickly and efficiently. So appreciative of their time and professionalism. Strongly recommend!!!

I called Gambi based on the high recommendations on this site, but it has turned out to be a nightmare.

Eugene came in a timely manner to repair two exterior lights that weren't working correctly, meaning the lights would come on sometimes with the timer, sometimes not, and sometimes flicker. He said I needed a new timer for one, which he purchased and I reimbursed him for. He and his assistant tried for some time to program the timer, but did a poor job of it and the light would go on some days, not on others. I ultimately programmed it myself and it works ok.

The other fixture he allegedly fixed continued to blow out bulbs. I replaced the bulbs myself several times, but figured there must be a problem with the fixture so I called him to come back. (To his credit, Eugene answers his phone and comes when he says he will.) Eugene came back on two more occasions to rectify the problem, but he just changed bulbs, which would blow out several days after he changed them. On his last visit, he accused me of just wanting him to change bulbs, which was highly insulting as well as incorrect. I have better things to do with my time than to schedule someone to come change lightbulbs, and the fact is that had he done his job correctly the first time, he wouldn't have had to return.

I've owned this house for 12 years and know that changing exterior fixture bulbs is not a weekly chore. In the past I've had contractors who, when faced with a job outside of their competency level, would have the integrity to admit as much. This job was obviously over Eugene's head, but that didn't stop him from wasting my time and money.

Save yourself the headache. Don't use Gambi.

Hired rob to rewire my attic had some damage before from a short that went wrong, he was fair with the price and quality workmanship.

I started discussing the project I had with Ciro back in April. I needed someone to add mesh to the bottom of my fence line to deal with rats coming from neighboring yards.  This required digging up a garden and trying to preserve the 70 year old plants along the fence line. He took a look at the job and gave a very reasonable price.  Ciro did the work in one day, came on time, prepared with his own tools and left the job site in a clean fashion (and he provided me with a receipt).  A true professional.   Brooklyn is in the need of a good handyman and I think they found one.  I look forward to using Ciro again in the future.

We called Ceriello to replace two burnt-out outlets in our kitchen. They sent someone the same day, and the guy they sent, Nick, was friendly, knowledgable, and had the job done quickly and efficiently. I can't recommend Ceriello highly enough! We'll definitely use them again!

Away on vacation, pipes burst... a wonderful neighbor went to my home, turned off the main water value / firemen turned off circuit breakers... now what?
I called Ian (from Scotties Electric). He was unbelievable, immediately he found a Plumber ( i had called many with no luck)... Ian went to my home to meet the plumber who repaired the pipes, and Ian restored my electric, heat, etc... my home would have been seriously damaged had it not been for Ian.

There was a misunderstanding with BQ electric. The phone number that i was using was incorrect. As soon as brian found out about me trying to reach him he was there immediately and more then completed his hob.

Ricardo was on time (actually earlier) than our appt.  He was fair and honest with his pricing of fixing my bathroom faucet and overflow plate.
I will definitely call him again next time I have any plumbing issues. Five stars!!

I called Dave at Tower because he had such great reviews here and now I know why. He deserves every five star review. The receptacle for my clothes dryer blew the circuit breaker and needed to be replaced. Dave came the same day I called, he told me how much it would cost during the initial phone call (before i remembered to ask), he assured me that he would fix the problem. He arrived on time, fixed the problem and reduced the charge because it was such a quick repair. He could not have been more prompt, professional, or nicer. I would definitely call him again and I recommend him without reservation. I never leave reviews because i'm lazy, but this was a great experience. I've owned a house for decades and I've had good, bad and indifferent but this was great!

Brian was excellent. He contacted me immediately on a Sunday and we arranged for work to be performed on the following Tuesday. It was a fair and reasonable price. For some reason Yelp sent my quote request to more than one business (I was trying to do business with Brian based on his Yelp reviews) which resulted in another company showing up. Brian handled it with grace and I was very appreciative of the way he does business. Will definitely be using him for future business.

Avoid at all costs.  I asked the guy (Jeff Brausewetter) to install a 220v outlet for a new dryer and he said he needed to put in a new breaker box.  I paid for it, and he came and installed it; he told me he was almost done but just needed to get the part for the outlet.  Then he stopped answering the phone or replying to my texts.  Finally he replied saying that he had been locked out of his phone and would sort me out, but after that he became unresponsive at the new number too.  Finally I had another electrician out (Riviera Electric, recommended).  He explained that (i) Jeff's breaker box was completely useless, and (ii) he hadn't actually done anything except for screwing the box onto the wall - no wiring or anything.  So, I'm out over $300 with nothing to show for it except for a useless breaker box that I'm going to have to throw away.  BEWARE!

H&A, Tony, and the team have been amazing. We called them because we had a lot of outlets which weren't working, along with some light switches that were acting up. We got brand new outlets, light switches, everything works great. The team was very courteous, and did clean work. I would highly recommend h&a.
