Xpert Electric

This guys are the real deal. Xavier and his team are great contractors and pleasant human beings. They will arrive when they say they will and will even provide you with a heads up when they are on their way which makes it very helpful to plan ahead.

They are trustworthy and super reliable. They are the contractors you've been looking for and charge very reasonable prices. I will definitely be using them in the future for all my electrical needs.

A few years ago I hired Xpert Electric to rewire our house because we had old knob and tube wiring.  They did a good job, EXCEPT that while installing some recessed lights in the living room, they sawed through the ceiling and the floor of the bedroom above, leaving a gash in the floor of that second-floor bedroom.  I actually thought this was perhaps an honest mistake and something likely to happen to any other electrician doing a similar job, but I now think that they are just careless when they work.  Last week I brought them back to install an new outlet in my dining room thinking that there was a low probability of damage.  However, while making the hole for the new outlet, Henry sawed through  the wall and made a gash in the siding on the outside of the house (!).  I know he noticed that he had sawed through the wall, because I saw him go outside and at the time I wondered what he was getting from outside (it was really cold).  He never pointed out the damage to or apologized for it.  For these reasons I can't recommend them.

One thing I just want to add, partly in response to Xpert Electric's answer and also for the benefit of other homeowners out there, is that gashes in 100-year-old wood flooring are not fixable.  You can't swap out the broken boards with new ones, because you can't get that flooring anymore, and even if you could, it would never match the flooring that has aged in place in the house.  The only thing my flooring guy was able to do was fill in the gash with wax, but it takes a real artist to make that wax match the grain of the wood, and unfortunately I have not yet found anyone who can do that well.  That's all to say that the couple of hundred dollars of credit that Xpert gave me on a $23k job for sawing through my floor doesn't even come close to the actual cost of the damage that they did, because that damage can't really be repaired.  I appreciate their latest offer to fix the most recent hole through my wall, but I don't want them to ever touch my house again.  The least they can do is remove me from their ridiculous subscription service and lose my number.

I usually don't leave negative feedback, but I think this company is trying to take advantage of victims of Hurricane Ida. We were hit hard with 4+ feet of water in the basement. Xpert Electric was really responsive and sent someone quickly to do an assessment which cost $159. Then once the sheetrock was ripped up they came to do a second assessment for another $70. Finally to redo the wiring in our basement, they gave me an estimate that seemed ridiculous. Even though I needed power immediately I told them I needed a day to think about it. I researched online and the price was way out of line. I believe they assumed our insurance is paying and jacked up the price (like most people affected insurance isn't paying anything).

I contacted another local electric company that had great reviews on Yelp and Facebook groups: Grounded Electric. They gave a free assessment and their final cost is not even one third the cost of Xpert Electric.

The technicians left a MESS! They were polite enough (one star) but they seemed to have no clue what they were doing. They seemed to be extremely YOUNG (like teenagers) and that shouldn't be an issue but these guys seemed like they needed help. I originally gave a good review but upon refection to be honest I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I usually don't write reviews but I had to give a shot out to these professionals. I was so worried about my house when i encountered some serious electrical problems at home. After some serious searching I couldn't find someone with experience yet fairly priced. I was recommended xpert electric through a friend and I don't regret it. Best price available and their dillegence and professionalism was the cherry on top.

On time. Called prior to arrival. His techs Diagnosed problem in bathroom and swapped out faulty switch in 20 minutes. Billing done via email, no money changed hands. I'm assuming that will go smoothly. $150 to walk in the door. Expensive switch. Should have become a plumber.
Update. Payment was sent to my email with a $30 discount due to the easy fix. Excellent

We had a ceiling fan installed on our high ceiling-- and couldn't be happier we went with Xpert Electric. After dealing with a recommended electrician who wouldn't even return phone calls to schedule an initial consultation-- I had gotten frustrated and turned to Yelp. Found Xpert  and Submitted the job request. Within 2 hours I had been contacted by Kim. Her  level of customer service was above and beyond. Especially now a days. Henry and Jake arrived at the expected time slot  and were very professional. They referenced a  standard pricing book so you don't feel like the pricing is made up. They even needed an unexpected part as they started working and that was no problem since they come with a parts van. I can't recommend them enough. Thank you for your services!!

I can't say enough good things about Xpert Electric.  I actually cold called electricians when I bought a house and needed to upgrade to a 200 amp panel.   I spoke to Xavier and he was professional, took the time to explain everything and the most fairly priced.  Recently, I needed a new outlet installed as I was tripping the breaker with my ac.  We called Xavier straight away and he explained everything.  Henry and Jacob arrived early (when does that happen?!?!) went straight to work.  Extremely professional, did an excellent job AND cleaned up everything!!  They will be back again on Monday to complete some more work.  I highly and enthusiastically recommend Xpert Electric and everyone there!

I needed a WiFi switch installed in my house that would integrate with other switches already installed. I spoke with Xavier on a Friday and he booked a service appointment for first thing Monday morning. The techs were friendly and knowledgeable. The best thing however about the whole experience was the online/text message communication to view and confirm proposal, appointment logistics and online secure payment. Fast, easy and reliable. This is how all technical services should operate in this modern age.

I've worked with Xpert Electric a few times now on  a number of electric projects I've had and they've become my go-to for any electrical issues.  Xavier and his team are always on time and gets the job done ahead of schedule.  It's been a pleasure working with them and we'll continue to do so in the future.

Jacob and Henry were very professional in the electrical jobs needed for my home. They showed up and evaluated each job and made suggestions. I had some rewiring and outlets that needed work and they were taken care of in a short period of time. We're very appreciative of the work done.

Xavier and his crew are fantastic electricians. They've done several repair jobs for us and our HOA over the past 2 years and each time the work has been great.  Xavier himself is completely honest when it comes to logistics, suggestions, and pricing. On a recent, larger job they went above and beyond by installing a dedicated line for us that was not part of the quote. They definitely take care of their customers when they can and make sure you're in good shape at the end of any job. On top of this, they are highly professional following covid protocols, giving updates on the progress of any job, text alerts for when an electrician is arriving and done working, and detailed invoices for all work which makes working with them a breeze. I would highly recommend them.

Xavier and his crew are truly top notch. They have done extensive work at my rental property in Little Ferry.  Always showed up on time and finished on the agreed budget and within agreed time frame. Before I found these guys I would have to deal with fly by night contractors who wouldn't show up or needed to be baby sat. I continue using Xpert Electric for service calls at other properties. I know they will get the job done right. Don't hesitate give them a call.

Xpert Electric was Very professional . I needed them to look into an electrical issue we had and they were able to diagnose the issue right away and able to fix the problem . The pricing was very reasonable . I would recommend them for all electrical issues .

this is a neutral review. seemingly a nice guy. they charge you a per visit fee so even if they don't fix anything you will still have to pay that. fine. he wants you to trust his work which seems like a reasonable ask. however, for a ceiling fan replacement, he wanted to charge me once for the diagnosis for the exact problem and then a second time for the installation of the fan. mind you a per visit fee is about $100. I asked for an all in price and he was offended that I didn't want to be billed multiple times for the same job and to install a ceiling fan? He said that he couldn't work under the circumstances and told me to find someone else to finish the job. He was reasonable enough to not charge me for the diagnosis visit for which nothing was fixed but he had issue with my pointing out the multiple visit fee. I'll let you decide.

These electricians were excellent. They answered our phone call right away, truly asked several questions in order to get the right idea about what was going on, and we set up an appointment for the following day. We had to change the time and they were very accommodating and PUNCTUAL. They arrived right when they said they would. Their prices were reasonable and they took the time to explain what was going on. They did their best to work with our very old wiring. In the future, we are going to have to replace our wiring and we will 100% be calling them to do the job. I especially appreciated the fact that they took the time to talk to us about what they were doing and why and did so in lingo we could understand. Call these guys if you have an electrical problem, hands down.

These guys were great. I had trouble finding an electrician in this area on short notice. They actually picked up the phone (which was surprisingly rare), scheduled an appointment same day, fixed 2 problems within an hour (that prior handyman couldn't figure out) and were good with my kids. Pricing was competitive with another quote I received. Would highly recommend.

Cannot say enough great things about this team! I had an electric problem on a Friday night and they were booked the whole day and still made time to squeeze me in and come at 6:30 on a Friday night. Great service. The electricians who came to switch out my chandelier were very punctual, quickly finished the job, and were respectful. Also, there were no surprises on my bill. definitely recommend to others and will use them again.

These guys are amazing, did exactly what I needed quickly and efficiently.  Very cost effective and Xavier was up front with costs based on what I requested.  The two workers he sent over were awesome, really nice guys and made the whole thing a breeze.  Definitely my electricians from now on!

Definitely recommend them. They installed a chandelier for my dining room. They measured the distance of both sides from the wall like five times :) They were very careful not to scratch anything and cleaned the dust after installation.
