HISTORY

Established in 1953.
Scotty's Electric was founded over 60 years ago by Tom Wilson. Tom, coming from Scotland, had such a Scottish brogue that everybody called him 'Scotty'. So the name Scotty's Electric was born! Long term clients still call and ask for 'Scotty' even though he passed away quite a number of years ago. Scotty's Electric was started in Manhasset, and later moved to Port Washington and as our client base expanded into Glen Cove, Oyster Bay and Bayville we moved the family business into our current office in Oyster Bay. Today we have electricians working from Port Washington, Glen Cove, Carle Place and Oyster Bay allowing us to service most of the North Shore in Nassau County.

ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER

Tom's sons took over the family business and continue to provide the same personal and professional service insisted upon by their father.

Today licensed Master Electrican Ian like his father before him continues to take a personal interest in all electrical work performed by Scotty's Electric Service.

Ian is the best! He is prompt and pleasant and knows exactly what he is doing. He gives great advice and is honest as far as the work that needs to be done. I was also pleasantly surprised when he handed me the bill - no over charging from Scotty's! He is the only electrician that I will allow in my parents home when I am not there. He is honest, trust worthy and leaves the premises spotless!!

Away on vacation, pipes burst... a wonderful neighbor went to my home, turned off the main water value / firemen turned off circuit breakers... now what?
I called Ian (from Scotties Electric). He was unbelievable, immediately he found a Plumber ( i had called many with no luck)... Ian went to my home to meet the plumber who repaired the pipes, and Ian restored my electric, heat, etc... my home would have been seriously damaged had it not been for Ian.
