I submitted a project proposal to Yelp for installation of an electrical vehicle charger circuit. Yelp hooked me up with Baran Electric and I received a competitive proposal, but I did get a different one that was a bit better. On this basis I would say that I would try Baran again for a future project

I invested a lot of time with this Electrical Contracting company after they agreed to do work for a agreed price. A contract was generated, and agreed upon. I cancelled out all other contractors after I proceeded with this contractor. I waited around, had to call several times to find out what the status was after the paperwork went thru my building landlord. The contractor came out and tried to inflate the price, since he said permits and additional paperwork are needed. The requirements is something I let the contractor know beforehand and is also written in contract he sent me. He asked for an $800 increase for him to include his insurance. I again called him, and he informed me he could do it something next month to stall the process since he knows I need the work to be done asap. Beware of contractor, he did not resolve issue even when I gave him the opportunity to correct the issue. Abandoning a customer after a deal is made is not professional.

Recently I had a small electrical crisis. My circulating pond's pump was not working and fish in pond were not getting needed O2. I called A-1. They were at my house in 30 minutes. Problem was quickly diagnosed and defective outdoor outlet was replaced. Fish were saved. Reasonable charge for the work. Paul found other outlets not functioning but I limited Paul to the one pond pump outlet. Later I learned that Paul misinterpreted the limitation and believed I was unhappy with his work. Not so!

We have used Anderson Electric twice and both times been fully satisfied with the service. They are kind, respectful, efficient, and professional. Reasonably priced, got the job done with minimal disruption to our days, and we would use them again for any electrical needs.

I have hired Sal to do 5 jobs for me over the past 4 years. Residential and commercial Sal always goes above and beyond. His crew is respectful and always working diligently to get their job complete. I would highly recommend him for any type of electrical work, he stands by his work and always picks up your phone calls.

My ceiling fan/light combo stopped working. They troubleshooted the problem that it was the dimmer that was burned out and not the fan/light and replaced the dimmer. They responded immediately and were here on time. I will use them again.

John from Port Washington Electric is great, called him on a Tuesday explained to him what I needed done, gave me an appointment for the following week in a Monday, showed up on time and did the work promptly. Fairly priced, John and his helper were professional, polite and courteous. I highly recommend using them for all your electrical needs!!

Danube Electric did a fantastic job on my apartment. They are licensed in Electrician, Heating, and Cooling. They interviewed many other electricians, and chose them because they were reasonably priced and very reliable. I will most definitely use them again. Keep up the good work!

I dropped off a vintage Jielde lamp with Tudor Electric (now merged with G&G)
They lost the shade, power cord and switch.
They spent 3 months telling me It's in the warehouse
No apologies from Steve.
No attempt at renumeration.
This is (was) a vintage item worth $400 (look up jielde on ebay)
Worse, I have (had) a matching pair. Now, I have one lamp and some broken lamp parts.
Essentially, I dropped of an expensive, rare lamp and got back some broken parts.
I wouldn't trust these guys AT ALL.

I have rarely had such good service from a contractor. I needed immediate service and received a recommendation to use Haddad through my Hoboken based businesses management office. They did the work right away and also responded immediately to a follow-up service. The owner is available directly and ensures quality work. A year later (today) the management company told me to turn this switch back on and I had no idea where it was located. The owner remembered me and took care of the communication as it is self-running. A remarkable difference to the dozen other contractors I work with to run my small business. A gem - the value of honest owner operated businesses can not be ignored. I try to run the same and applaud and am grateful to Haddad. They have my business moving forward!

The owner (?) Travis insisted on charging something called a landing fee at each visit -- even when the worker was returning a second day to finish a job, and even when I called to request that they replace a bad switch which they had installed only weeks earlier. Travis was condescending and totally inflexible about waiving the charge, even though I had been a repeat customer over a period about 5 years. The guys who do the work are good and very polite, but Travis' poor customer service skills left a bad taste in my mouth. I won't call them again, but I just had a very good experience with Richard of New York City Electricians.
