Lyons did such a great job on my roof last month! I did have to wait several months due to tile supply delays, but wow, they stuck to their original estimate despite every one of my plywood boards being rotten. My place was built in the mid-seventies and these must have been the original boards. I saw the decay in photos and on the conveyer belt going into the dumpster they brought. They also cleaned up everything after each days work and even returned the next week to add some elevation to my flat roof to facilitate better drainage & prevent pooling. They also went over maintenance in detail & the circumstances wherein the roof would need a courtesy check for damage, ie, if I get solar panels, a new antennae, or anytime someone walks on the flat foam portion, which could cause an indention leading to pooling.  I'm so pleased with Lyon's and highly recommend them!!!

For what it cost to have my roof done I would have expected better customer service. But it is terrible and good luck on your warranty.

Complaint filed the the ROC and City of Tucson Code enforcement.

They left our childhood home in worse condition.

They rebuilt the porch and left a 3 inch gap where it attaches to the house. The roof now leaks around the chimney and AC duct work. You can see light when it the attic.

They served us with an notice to place a lean on the property before they made the necessary corrections.

The contract was deficient, the ROC informed them it was lacking 6 requirements. It was deliberately vague to absolve them of responsibilities.

It's been an unending nightmare from the start.

The general manager came done from Phoenix so that we could point out their deficiencies. We are not roofers. He also told us it's not that bad repeatedly...you've done worse. Prior to his visit, the Tucson office was trying to tell us that the porch rebuild was cosmetic.

They failed to replace all rotted wood.

The fact that they failed to handle and dispose of asbestos tile properly and also left nails and asbestos tile in the yard is trivial compared to the disaster that's the roof they replaced. One flat tire to date.

I think that my review is getting flagged or something because I can't find it posted.

Whatever you do, find a different company! My husband and I paid a lot of money to have our foam roof redone. They did sub- par work and would not take responsibility for not having delivered on their promises (and contract). We had to get the Registrar of Contractors involved who mandated that they either fix the numerous problems or provide a refund. Prior to this, we were almost to the point of having to take legal action to hold them accountable. For a big company who does work for large corporations, they sure were bound and determined to screw over the little guy. What a nightmare!!

Ghosted me after they found out insurance wasn't going to cover a full roof replacement. Told me they would reach back out to the insurance company on my behalf and never got back to me.

My experience with this company has been horrendous. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. To name some issues, tiles aren't in line, they placed the replacement tiles that are a complete different color where we have to see them rather than under the solar system, I needed an itemized bill for damage from our solar company that they are covering and everyone I spoke with about it said it was something I would get however when I didn't receive it, I asked to speak to a superior and was unfortunately connected to Shane. He wanted to do nothing but argue and raise his voice to me. When I asked repeatedly to speak with someone else to avoid the unprofessional conduct he told me over and over that he is the end of the line and it stops with him. At the end of the abusive call he stated he would have Scott send over what was already promised previously and hung up on me. No surprise after that encounter that I haven't received it and have been ghosted when trying to follow up.

I contacted Lyons roofing for a client of mine. They came highly recommended and I was anxious to get the job going. They were 4 months out at the begining and that turned into 6 months. There were some unforseen issues that set the job back further. I was getting very frustrated ,but more so from a lack of communication at that point. After finally getting intouch with Abril our job was scheduled. I was contacted by Ron the project manager about what to expect.
I met with Ron to walk the roof and he discussed items they would be finishing up and answered all my questions. He assured me I would get my 5 star roof. After all the waiting, that was what I expected. I met with Ron again today and the job was finished as expected. I would rate the communication when the job started and was completed as top notch. I realize that things happen beyond our control and that is unfortunate. We did get our 5 star roof and 5 star customer service. Lyons will need to return for a new window that needs to be installed and foamed in. I will look forward to another 5 star service from Lyons.
Thank you for completing the job and cleaning up the jobsite.

The work replacing our foam flat roof was completed well, but the workers also severely damaged the electrical conduit and wires routed to our two A/C units. The conduit was jostled and moved so harshly that one hot wire was nearly cut in half - and this created an arc and a small fire at one of the junction boxes. They also pulled apart conduit from another junction box without sealing it before spraying foam coatings. Lastly, at least three other conduit connections were ripped apart and taped before foaming.
I was told by the crew supervisor that Lyons would stand by their mistake, only that didn't happen.
The entire conduit routing was now unsafe and the electrician I hired said there was water in the conduits and boxes. I was without the use of one of my A/C units for days before the electrician could start repairs.
When I submitted the electrician's invoice (paid it too), Lyons pushed me up to a production supervisor who basically said the contract I signed allows them to damage almost anything without any recourse by me. He did concede that only 20% reimbursement of the electrician cost would be allowed. Stay away from Lyons, I cannot recommend a company that won't stand by their dangerous mistakes.

I would not recommend this company for the reason they are completely unprofessional.  I signed up for roof repair back in early November and was told the work would be done in 3-4 weeks.  They did not even call within 3-4 weeks to schedule the service at which point they scheduled it 7 weeks from when I signed up and gave them my deposit.  I was scheduled for this Thursday and then they pushed it out again another week.  Not once did I tell them I needed the work done by a date.  They continue to miss the date they provided.  It's beyond frustrating as I have other services schedule to follow the work they do.  100% unprofessional.  There is zero reason to treat a customer like this.  Is my job getting pushed out because it's not as big of a  job as other jobs ?  If that's the case, just have a minimum job cost that you're willing to take on rather than treat people like this.  I don't know if their quality is good because I haven't had the work done, but going to look to find another company.

The great Monsoon of 2021 was too much for my rolled flat roof in Glendale, AZ.   I enjoy waterfalls, but not in my living room.   I contacted three roofing companies but elected to choose Lyon's Roofing as the company I would entrust with my business.

The estimator was professional and gave me several options to consider.  I eventually decided on a foam roof as my best alternative. I watched a YouTube video that showed me the process that goes into a foam roof, which was very helpful to me.

Lyon's roofers arrived on time, and were very kind and answered questions.  They worked very hard in hot summer conditions.   They did a wonderful job.  I am so glad I chose Lyon's Roofing, and highly recommend them to help you out if you are considering a new roof for your home.  Thank You Lyons Roofing!!!

This people are not very professional ,mr Thomas Sichrovsky come to my house to give me an estimate on my roof and he supposed to email my husband and let him know how much , but because we only have a couple of tiles broken I think it wants enough for him, so we never receive an estimate from them not even a call to let us know that he was not interested in the job.  My husband try to reach him and live a message to him but he never call him back. I bet if he have to replace all the roof he would be begging to us for the job .

So please don't give this people any business , because next time that could be you !

This is a late review... Had Lyons out a couple of years ago for an estimate to fix a leak. To the company's credit, the estimator arrived on time and was cordial and courteous. I pointed out the area where the leak was, and without even going on the roof to investigate he said based on the age of the house I needed to repaper the entire roof at a cost of around $15K. He said the company doesn't like to do repairs because they end up chasing leaks. On top of that, he said they were booked and wouldn't be available to do the work for at least 6 weeks. And if I decided to go with the work, I had to give him a $1500 deposit upfront to hold my appointment. (Even though he was unable to tell me when that appointment would be.)

Like I said, this review is late. Things may have changed since my experience with them. But if you are interested in having your roof repaired (as opposed to repapered or replaced), you might want to ask these questions when you call to save some time:
* I am only interested in a roof repair estimate. Do you do roof repairs?
* Do you require a downpayment/deposit and if so how much?
* How far out are you booking appointments?

Very pleased with installation, excellent repair or rebuild of wood decking and fascia (skilled carpenter). English speaker on site each day. Project Manager was outstanding- good communicator, took pride in work, creative solutions to challenges. Pleased with fixes to flashing and water drainage issues- but need hard rain to really evaluate ( was ok in light rain).

Got two leaks in heavy rain that Lyons would not fix. They do not honor their warranty, and left me to fix the two issues myself. One leak at stand pipe, flashing underneath did not stop water from pooling in heavy rain. One leak at odd corner where water in valley hits wood border around window - I had added piece of aluminum to keep water off wood, Lyons would not seal edges and would not add additional flashing to keep water off fascia board. Very disappointing, you can do a lot better than this company.

Alex from Lyon's Roofing is exceptional. My new roof is leaking and I hired Lyon's to inspect it. Alex spent a lot of time and looked at my roof very carefully. He explained in detail what the problems were. Alex educated me about how a roof should be installed and what the codes are. I feel better prepared to advocate for myself with the company that installed the roof inappropriately. if I didn't have a warranty with that company I'd hire Lyon's to do the job. The inspection fee was worth every cent.

Called to get an estimate and they told me it would 4-5 weeks before someone could come out.  If they want that amount of time to just come out, stop and think how long it would be till the work would get done. Guess they're just still trying to pay for their helicopter ads. Wonder why they still advertise on TV when they can't come out. Good Luck, found another company.

We were very pleased with the job Lyons Roofing did replacing our patio cover roof.  It had leaked for years, not every storm but enough to be really annoying.  Their estimator came out and was spot on with what we needed for our almost flat roof.  They did the job on schedule and soon after we experienced a massive monsoon rain.  No leaking whatsoever.  I'm thrilled we can finally relax and enjoy a monsoon storm.  I'd highly recommend Lyons.

I have called Lyons on three occasions in the last two weeks in order to get an estimate for a small repair what I was told would more than likely be covered as part of my ten year warranty. Dallas was here on 11/7/18. Still no estimate after being assured that it would be forthcoming within a day or two. When I called to complain that no one was following up, I was told that there was no way that the small patch would be covered under my ten year warranty from Lyons' previous roofing job. I am not sure why I was led on by two people from Lyons saying that there was a strong likelihood that the warranty would cover the small repair that was required. It is never a good customer experience to raise expectations only to shatter them. BTW my warranty expired April 1, 2018, and I called in October to request an estimate for a raised bubble on my flat roof. I won't be calling Lyons again.

I have a single story home with a complex tile roof and no solar panels. The patio roof it tar and gravel.

Last year my 20 year old patio roof leaked. I received an estimate from Lyons and another from a no-name roofer. The price difference was almost 2:1 so I decided to go with the no-name roofer. It a small job so I figured worth the risk. I guess the roof will hold but the visible carpentry was awful and there was zero customer support and no guarantee.

This year my main roof started to leak. Lesson learned - went with Lyons. Excellent estimator, excellent foreman with world class customer support. Workers were courteous and careful. They never left the job at the end of the day with any exposed decking nor garbage on the ground.

Final walk through was mostly about caring for the roof so debris doesn't block water channels. Very helpful information. The final price was exactly what the estimator had specified. I now have a written guarantee for 15 years and would not be surprised if it lasts a lot longer than that.

These guys came out and left a huge mess. Nails everywhere. I have kids and pets!
A few weeks after installing my roof it rained the roof LEAKED and flooded my house I called them and they FOUGHT me OVER it. Finally they sent someone out. The ROOFERS had failed to put a roof transition piece on. They PROMISED to repair the damage and the damage that happened in the house due to thier error and appolized. They said call back to have someone fix the walls and ceiling.
They denied that and said no after calling to schedule that!
A month later or so the roof began to warp. I called them again they FOUGHT and argued. They sent someone out and finally fixed some raised parts.
TODAY it was a little windy not much at ALL. Light breezes. The roof began to lift in areas and it was flapping. I heard it in the house!
I went out and when the breeze came the roof would lift in areas!!!!!!
I had a neighbor who does consruction look at it and he fixed it and said tbe ROOFERS NEVER NAILED THE SHINGLES DOWN OR SEALED IT. WTH!!! He walked it and said looks like other areas may be that way. Wth.
What a  piece of crap place Lyons roofing is. Dont even waste your time calling cause they wont do good work, back thier work and will fight and belittle you.
Roofing is expensive work and you should get good reliable and competent honest and integrity driven company THEY ARE NOT THAT. move on.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!!
Lyons Roofing needs to spend less effort on charming their customers and concentrate on their lack of  business ethics and skill. .After repairing my roof, I now come to realize they completely destroyed my pool's solar system.  I sent photos and other documentation which clearly indicated the horrific condition of panels and tubes carelessly thrown back onto the roof.  Paul, the owner of Lyons Roofing, refused to take responsibility, and is attributing the problem to wind - IMPOSSIBLE!!!  Even if wind miraculously through the panels and pipes around, it can only occur if they were re-installed poorly.  The company should spend less effort on charming their customers and concentrate on their lack of business ethics and skill. If you need further convincing to stay away from this company, check them out with The Better Business Bureau.

My first experience with Lyons Roofing was back in 2011 when I was selling my house and needed some repairs made to the roof. They were quick, on time and affordable back then.

Fast forward to August 2019 and as  I am leaving my house one day I notice several roof tiles in complete disarray and figured it was storm damage and that I was going to need a roofing contractor again. I called Lyons and they go me an appointment set up with Jeremy to give me an estimate on 8/22/19 at 10:30. On that morning Jeremy call to tell me he was knocking on the door but there was no answer and wanted permission to gut up on the roof. This was odd because I knew someone was home so I verified what location he was at. Needless to say he was sent to my old house. Jeremy told me he would contact the office to reschedule.

Within minutes Nicole from Lyons roofing was calling me to reschedule and to my complete surprise she was able to schedule Jermey for the next day at 9:00. I certainly was not expecting that, I figured it would be another week before I saw him.

Jeremy showed up Friday morning and checked out the roof and confirmed the tiles had been moved around by the wind. He said all that was needed was to reposition the tiles and the entire roof looked good and if there was anything else they could do just give them a call. Oh and there was no charge for him putting everything back into place.

Amazing! I would have figured there would have been at least some kind of basic service fee but instead they continue to exceed my expectations of customer service.

Thanks Lyons Roofing!

I bought a home that Lyons had recently re-roofed.  First of all, I could see it looked like a well done, top quality installation. They transferred the 10 year warranty with no hassle. When I needed one tweak, they came right over and took care of it for no charge. And re-attached my roof owl!  I am careful about actually recommending companies, and I absolutely recommend Lyons Roofing! Almost forgot....all the staff I've interacted with have been friendly and professional.

I called and scheduled an estimate with Lyons roofing. It has been 4 weeks after they came to my home and I still haven't even received an estimate. I called 10 days ago and was told by the rep who came over to my home that he will send me the estimate by the weekend. It has been over a week and still nothing came in. You can just imagine what kind of service you will receive if they can't even send you the estimate as they promised!

I hired Lyons Roofing in August 2015 to replace my roof after getting quotes from five companies. The price fell in the mid-range of the companies and they offered no-interest financing through a third party if paid within a year.

I have a flat roof and needed a new foam roof.  They sent two supervisors to inspect the site prior to scheduling the work.  They estimated that it would take several days to remove the old roof, replace rotted plywood and fascia as needed, and apply the foam, three coats of elastomer with a granular coating (1/16 inch rocks).

They arrived on time and tore off the old roof and applied the foam in one day. After the first coat of elastomer was applied, the project manager visited the site.  While we inspected the work I questioned why some rotting fascia boards were not replaced.  He agreed that they should have been replaced.  He also found a small section of plywood roofing visible on an overhang that needed replacement.  He was surprised that the crew missed these needed repairs but assured me that they would fix them.  The carpentry and foaming crew showed up a few days later and replaced 84 feet of fascia, the small piece of roofing plywood, and re-foamed the portion that they had to remove.  They did an excellent job.

The entire job was finished a few days later with the additional elastomer coats and the granular coating.

I am pleased with the final job, but I can't help wonder if there is more rotting plywood under the foam.  Time will tell...

I still would recommend Lyons Roofing to friends but I would caution them to inspect their roof for needed replacement boards after the old roof is removed and before they start the foaming process.  A handyman could be hired for a nominal fee if they didn't want to do it themselves.

I would also recommend applying the granular coating. Before that coating was applied, I heard a bird pecking on the roof.  I have had no such problem after the granular coating was applied.

Lyons Roofing recently replaced the tile on my roof.  From the initial call to post-installation they did an amazing job and kept me informed as to what they were doing.  They were professional and prompt (thank you Floyd and Michael) and genuinely cared about me as their customer with no surprises.

Paid $550 for a roof tune up which on the phone would be replacing the missing shingles and fixing the leak on the rolled roofing of my patio. They came and replaced the shingles(look great) but then the guy never asked where the porch cover was leaking so when he said he was done I was like did you guys remember the porch cover. I can show you where it leaked to make sure and the guy said no need it's all sealed up. Then it rained and sure enough its leaking from all the same spots so I called and apparently that is not covered under a roof tune up even though on the phone before the job was started it was said that it will be taken care of. Not very happy with my experience after that.

Be very careful dealing with this company. They came out and made an estimate which we accepted. We signed the contract only to be informed later that there was a mathematical error in the number of squares and that they would not do the job for the contract price. They wanted 20% / $2000 more to do it. Very disappointing.

Update: Next day: the district manager called, apologized, and emphatically stated they stand by their contracts. I did not have to complain or contact them. So we will be getting the roof after all. Mistakes happen and this company is willing to make it right. I'm raising my stars to mid-level. Stand by for a final update, but right now I would say this company is ok.

Just get lots of quotes before you decide to use them.

I had them give me a quote, and ended up finding another experienced operation that was less than half of what Lyons quoted me for my foam roof.  I've been very happy with the job.

I just didn't get a good feeling with the salesman they sent out coming out and closing the deal with all the games. I'd rather deal with someone that actually does the trade and not a guy that just wants to get a commission.

I made an appointment for someone to take a look at my roof.  They were 15min late so I just left since this was for a rental.  They called me later and said I didn't need to be there, which was not what I was told by the person who set up the appointment in the first place.

So this was on the 16th and sure its the holidays, but why does it take this long to drum up a bid?  So I sent a message through the website to which I didn't receive any response.  Then I called and an answering service took a message saying they were open that day and would call me back.

I've pretty much given up on this company at this point.  :/

Lyons roofing just completed my flat patio roof repair/replacement. I think I had a fair estimate for repairs and good advice from Justin on my main roof condition for future replacement. Matt and his crew did a great job replacing all the plywood and roofing materials on my patio which was around 400 square feet. The job was completed in 2 days.  They were very professional and detail oriented including cleaning up everything afterwards on both days. Replacing a roof is not something you do often so I was most concerned with company reputation for warranty and repair issue. They have been in business a long time so I felt confident using them even if it was not the least expensive quote. I would definitely recommend Lyons roofing and will be using them again when the time comes to replace the rest of my main roof.

My wife booked Lyons Roofing to come first thing on a Friday morning so it wouldn't be too hot.  We were thinking about the worker and willing to get up early on a day off.  We received a confirmation e-mail earlier in the week.

On Friday morning, I received a call from the worker stating he got tied up at his first job of the day and wouldn't be able to make it until later.  I said, No problem, I understand.  We'll be around all day so just let me know when you can make it.  Even though I had other things to do, I stayed at home waiting for the call back, which never came.

That was one month ago today and we have never heard back from the company.  Still looking for a roofing company, but definitely would not recommend this one.  Warning: They were recommended on Angie's List, too!

After discovering that our 20+ year old roof needed to be replaced, my wife and I got a couple of bids. We ultimately chose Lyons (even though they came in at a higher price) because they seemed more thorough and knowledgeable than the other company that came to inspect the roof. The initial interactions with Lyons were very pleasant and the actual roof replacement went well. At the time we replaced the roof we knew we might be selling our house in the very near future and would need to transfer the warranty. Normally that process comes with a $150 transfer fee but one of the project managers told my wife that that fee could be waived if the transfer was going to be so soon after the roof replacement.

It was during the sale of our house that Lyons' ugly side showed up. The buyer's inspector noted a few issues with the replaced roof. They were mostly minor - but failed inspection nonetheless. We began the transfer process with Lyons and informed them of the issues - even sent them a copy of the inspection report. Despite having that report for more than a week, the person they sent to our house to do the transfer inspection appeared clueless as to the repairs that had to be made. So they had to send someone else out a few days later. Ultimately, we probably had to call Lyons people over to our house 3-4 more times because each time they failed to do the necessary repairs or argued with us about what had to be done. We had spent $12,000 on our new roof, but apparently were no longer valued customers after they believed they had finished the job.

Ultimately they made us pay the $150 transfer fee, even though we were previously told it would be waived. When it was paid, we requested an invoice the same day so that we could give proof of payment to the buyers so as not to hold up our house sale. So of course Lyons' office staff left for the day without doing that. Lyons' terrible customer service nearly singlehandedly delayed our home sale because they took FOREVER to do simple tasks, argued with us every step of the way, and would not even provide us with the documentation we requested. We were valuable to Lyons up until the point that we wrote them a $12,000 check. Once they had their cash in hand we apparently were not worth their time.

January 1st 1993, I started Lyons Roofing. March 2005, I sold it to Paul and Rhonda LaNue.

I hear good things about them and I can tell you they are both Terrific human beings. I'm PROUD they are carrying on in the tradition I started. I always tried to be completely honest, fair in my pricing and to bring VALUE to any relationship...............Good Work you guys. Patrick Lyons

Run, don't walk away from this company.

I'll try to make this short (I'm sure I'll fail though): I had a back patio cover with a flat roof that needed to be repaired. Called out three companies for estimates and decided to go with Lyons based on their estimator.

After I signed my contract and put down my deposit, the problems began. First, I was on the schedule for a certain date. Next, I received a voicemail from Lyons asking when I wanted to schedule the work (what?). I called back, confused, as I thought we already had a date locked in. Some excuse, we're sorry, etc. and we'll get you on the books for that date again. Okay, I really hope that's true because I have painters coming once you're done.

Skip forward to the night before work was to be completed- no call from Lyons to confirm the appointment, I STILL have no idea who my project manager is, or if the scheduling problem was fixed because nobody called me (again).

Morning of the project start date and I have no workers at my home. I had to call Lyons again (huge surprise), and was told, Oh, sorry, we didn't call yesterday but you have a new project manager (not that I ever heard from the first one) and they'll be showing up around 10am. I was sick and had been up since 7am when I was told work would begin. Bang up job guys. Funny thing is, they were actually proud of the fact they could get a crew out to me that same day. The job had been scheduled for over a month.

I can't comment on the quality of work as I'm not a roofer (hence the hiring of one), but I can say I was home during the entire project with my two small children and even with that, I personally picked up about 20 nails from around the work area. The rest were brought to me by my kids. Nice.

Finally, I received an email survey about how the job went. I responded to the VP who had no idea that there were any issues with the job. Again, what? Do you not have a computer system that you use for notes? VP and I talked, I believe it was a Thursday and she was going to call me back about what could be done about the situation. Guess what, no call.

I called Lyons the following week about working something out due to all of the issues. I was offered a $100 credit on a $1700 job because they operate on such small profit margins and it was just a clerical error and there's no problem with our work, etc. etc. ad nauseum.

Bottom line: If you'd like a giant headache in conjunction with your leaking/ damaged/ old roof, these are your guys. Enjoy!

I made an appointment online the night of a heavy downpour that really started to come in at the damaged roof area.  I selected to be contacted ASAP and indicated PM as the best time to call.  They got back to me the next day at around 1:30pm, asked me questions about the damage, answered my questions and scheduled  an appointment.

The pricing was tough but for the quality of service and craftsmanship they provided, I think the price was an excellent value.  It's been over a year and a half and I've had no leaks or issues with the repairs.  We've had some pretty bad storms in the past year and everything's held up.

I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality roof repair.

I am a Realtor so I have plenty of opportunities to recommend Lyon's Roofing to my clients and neighbors.  No one is ever disappointed.  Lyon's is always on time and their staff is friendly and knowledgeable.  In addition to recommending them, I've used them for my own properties.  Lyon's is a well-managed company that I'll continue to recommend.  Keep up the good work!

To start, I really liked our estimator and everyone seemed very professional and great to work with.  I have no doubt their work would be good, the pricing though felt fishy.  I just post this as a word of caution.

We have had an aweful time with our previous roofer, the roof we had Lyons look at was only three years old.  The estimator was able to come to our house early, and beat me there.  He called me from the roof and asked why he was there, it was a new roof.

He was adamant we were to contact the contractor's board (we're past the two year statute of limitations and had exhausted the previous roofer with requests to fix the damaged boards around the chimney and the AC unit).  When I explained he said well, if you want to spend your money we can help with that, he said jokingly.

He said the roof was in good shape, then after reviewing the inspection report he went back up on the roof and came back with a quote for an entirely new roof, twice the price of the original bad roof and literally $12,000 over the other two bids we recieved.

Maybe he felt that we were wasting our time because he brought up the contractor's board several times, maybe he hoped it would turn into a lawsuit.  We've exhausted all optioins and just wanted it fixed with no lawyers.

Not sure what happened here but if you decide to use them, be sure and get more than one quote!

I knew our roof had had it....I am an insurance adjuster and knew that Lyon's has a good reputation. Well, to my surprise i was told that there was damage to my roof due to a storm. My insurance paid a portion of the roof but Lyon's did what they said they would, showed up on time and cleaned up afterwards. I had no problems and would highly recommend this company.

I would never ever hire Lyons Roofing again to do a job.  Their salesman came out in a very nice white truck and clean pressed white shirt and told us everything we wanted to hear about their professionalism and skill level being the best in the business.  It was a eye-opening experience.  The crew showed up the first morning of the job in a truly deplorable broken down little truck that leaked oil everywhere they parked it from one day to the next.  The head guy spoke little English.  We were told don't worry about a portapotty, they will go use the fast food chain on the corner.  Nope!  They used empty drink bottles and left them where we could find them.  We fed them twice a day every day and gave them all the ice cold water bottles they could drink.  We figured out the crucial things we talked about with our salesman never got relayed to the worker bees.  The crew proceeded over the course of several days to cause us a huge amount of stress.  They didn't know what they were doing.  We finally reached an agreement with the company and the work got finished, but they really messed with us when they nailed 100++ nails in a 4x4 foot area for NO reason.  I have to look at those nails everytime I open my attic access.  And to add insult to injury the last day of the job they didn't care about propping up the peaks correctly and I had to throw them chunks of wood from the driveway to get the right height (somehow I thought there was more to it than that so I hope they hold over time).  AND the very last tile they cut they used a scrap that had DEEP saw marks all over it, despite the fact that there were so many extras.  When we pointed it out they dug in their feet and we had to speak to a supervisor on the phone.  It was truly a joke from start to finish with the crew.  I want to believe that the office doesn't know how inept their crews are.  We had no choice but to be the squeaky wheel.  Just of your info, we HATE being the squeaky wheel.  We wanted this job to be the one we paid good money for so we could relax and say, Lyons did a great job, you should use them!  No one who knows what we went through would ever use this company.  You have been forewarned, but in fairness any of these big companies can have the same issues.  Know your roofing team!  In future I will try to deal with smaller companies, possibly one where the estimator is someone on the team.

A roof is one of the most expensive and stressful purchases that we have ever had to make for our home. Top that off with the fact that we are military and were stationed in a different state when it all went down. Our biggest fear was that we would get a contractor who had limited knowledge, while also amassing hidden fees throughout the process.

Lyons was highly recommended on Angie's List, but honestly it was Katherine and Jim that convinced me to go with this company. Katherine spent at least 3 hours walking me through the process and answering every question that I could come up with. My conversations with her pointed me in the right direction for researching my options. I had many more technical questions after that, which she thought would best be answered by Jim. Boy, was she right! Jim really knew his stuff and had an answer for everything I threw his way. He thoroughly walked me through everything that would happen to our home. By the end of it all, I felt like I had two new family members who just happened to be in the roofing business!

I can't say enough good things about Lyon's Roofing. Their team did an amazing job. Our roof had wind and hail damage that needed to be fixed yesterday as Jim so eloquently put it.  Our project manager, Art, had to make the hard call to tell me that our initial start date was being moved back due to bad weather. He made sure to spend time with me and walk me through all the steps. When I heard that a big storm was moving in to Tucson, I called in a panic. That same day he sent some guys out to tarp the sections that could possibly leak into the house.

I was so relieved to have this amazing company guiding me through each step of the process. My fears were assuaged, and my budget was not blown out of the water. In fact, if I had gone with another contractor's bid, I'd be out an extra $2K right now. Thank you to everyone at Lyons Roofing! From start to finish, I experienced nothing but the highest customer service possible!

Very professional company with fair pricing, quality work, and responsible business practices.  During my roof replacement, a worker accidentally flipped a breaker and shorted out my A/C.  Because it was caused by them, they immediately had an A/C tech come and fix the short at no additional cost to me.  Now I have a good looking, quality new roof and still have a working A/C.  I received estimates from other companies before starting the reroofing project and I am glad I went with Lyons Roofing.

I asked for an estimate for a walkdeck redo and replacement of underlayment of my entire roof.  The underlayment replacement was a bit steep compared to other estimates.  I attribute that to them sellling what appears (to my untrained eye) to be a Rolls-Royce roof.  I was looking for an excellent roof, but since I don't plan on owning this house for generations, I could not justify the added expense.  The walkdeck came in priced comparably.  They recommended a Ply-Dek product, which took about 4 days to install.  Dave, the Installer, was very professional and courteous.  With a single subjective issue regarding final cosmetics on the final walk-though, Jeremy, the Project Lead, was very in tune with full customer satisfaction.  We reviewed the project and both he and Dave suggested options to complete the project.  The project was finalized and both my wife and I could not be happier with the final outcome, in regard to price, quality, and appearance!  Of course, always get your 3 estimates, and if Lyons comes in with a bid you find affordable, I would not hesitate to use them.  From Sierra at the main office to the the folks on the ground, they were all very professional and responsive and seemed to have all their bases covered.

Buyer beware. They did not honor my contract that they signed due to what they call a mathematical error. This error was for 30% / $3,000. How can the estimator be that far off? I decided to just get my deposit back and not try to have them honor the contract as I can't imagine I would be getting quality work or a fair deal if I tried to have the roof replaced with them. They weren't at all willing to honor the contract and anyways they said they wouldn't do the work for the original quote / contract price signed.  Dealing with Lyons roofing was a total waste of time.

There are a shortage of kind hearts and kind deeds in the world. Today, I experienced a kindness from an unexpected source, our roofing repair company! We are selling our home and moving across the country. Our buyers are nickel and diming us for every little fix they can get, down to removing morning doves nests and installing spikes in the eaves. Feeling very house poor and a little bit miffed about it, I called Lyons to look at the cracks and chips the report came back with... Thinking it was going to cost me $500 or more. We left to fly to Michigan for a house hunting trip and while we were gone, Jeremey from Lyons Roofing came to my house and repaired every chip and crack and notch for us and he did it for free as a farewell gift! He knew we weren't going to be here much longer and therefore wouldn't probably be using his company again anytime soon, but he drove 20 miles here and 20 miles back and took his time to fix my roof and didn't charge me anything. Tears come to my eyes while I'm typing this. He will never realize just how much his kind deed meant. I will whole heartedly recommend Lyons Roofing solely not only based on the terrific quality of work they do, but also on their customer service and small deeds of kindness that meant so much to me during such a rough time. thank you, Jeremey!! God Bless You!!

I sighed the contract with Lyons Roofing because the sales rep seemed accommodating to work with. I selected a brand and solid color brown of new tile to be used because of the breakage that would occur. A pallet of the new replacement tiles was delivered, but it was not the brand or color I selected; instead, it was a variegated-color tile: brown/ ivory/black. I was told later by the Project Manager that the tile I selected was lightweight and could not be used on my roof. So why was I shown this tile by the sales rep? And then why was a tile delivered that I did not even see the color or approve?
By this time the top three rows on the backside of the house were removed and were ready for replacement. Then it was found out that the pallet of new tile could not even be used for the top three rows because it was the wrong size- and that an entire section of roof (already put back) would have to be removed again, so the tiles could be used on the top three rows on the backside.
I called the Project Manager and said that things were not going well- that I didn't want 3 entire sections and 2 ridges replaced with variegated-color tiles that were totally unmatched in color to the solid brown color on the rest of the roof. I received a call later saying that tiles were found in a bone yard (tiles removed from previous jobs) that would be very close in color to what I have, and could also be used for the top 3 rows on the backside of the house. But no trim tiles were to be found, so I would have to accept the variegated tiles to be used on 2 ridges.
I approved, not having a better choice. The tile from the bone yard was delivered.
But then it was found out that the tiles from the bone yard could not be used on the top 3 rows on the backside because they were a different size, and would not butt up properly to the adjoining row. So an entire section of roof had to be removed, and the tiles used on the backside, This section was replaced with tiles from the bone yard. After this was done, the variegated color trim tiles were put on the 2 ridges on top of the solid color tile. Watching them, it was obvious they were rushing to complete the roof, since they had another job site to go to.
There was no final inspection. The roof is now finished, with 3 sections of tile from the bone yard, and 2 ridges of unmatched trim tile. As I said to the Project Manager- all of these problems should have been foreseen before the job was started, not found out unexpectedly by the work crew as their working. Had I known beforehand about all of these problems of color and compatibility, I could have had, and would have made, other choices. And why were there supposedly so many tiles broken that required 3 sections of a different tile be used plus 2 ridges of variegated unmatched trim tile?  Our house is on a corner lot on an incline, and the roof is clearly visible when walking or driving down this incline.
A final note about breakage: I have only 2 of the original field tiles left- one of which was found in the debris trailer...it had been tossed there by a workman?  Makes you wonder.

Wonderful!  Just amazing. With all the recent storms in Phoenix, trying to find someone to come over asap was proving to be quite the obstacle.  I called and just a few hours later I have two gentleman at my door and on my roof.  They were originally going to place a tarp until an estimator could come take a look but as it turns out they made a quick trip to Home Depot and not 20 minutes later they were done and my vent cover (brand new AND PAINTED to match my house) was installed and complete. Call these people.  Angelic in the office was very, very helpful with scheduling and payment.  Thank you.

Great company, great customer service. It looked like one of my shingles came off but the guy notified me that it was just the ventilator that came off from the roof. The wind knocked it up from the tar. He climbed up the ladder, glued it back down all for no charge. Other companies would try ripping you off for a task like this.

Lyons went above and beyond with my roof... I knew there were issues when I purchased my home but thanks to their in escrow inspection, there were no surprises.  After purchase, they put on a new foam roof.  Everyone involved was professional and I would never hesitate to again use them or refer them.... As a former business owner I realize sometimes employees make a mistake that adversely affects a company but that was not the case with me.  Everyone was professional that I dealt with from office personnel, the project inspector, the men doing the work.  I did not make final payment until the project inspector and myself, inspected the roof.  A superb job !

If you are unable to schedule an appointment over the phone, I would send a request through their website rather than have the scheduler call you back. For some reason she didn't get my message, but did get my online request. I got a call within 24 hrs after sending my online request.

Once my appointment was scheduled, they sent me an email with my appointment information and my inspector's contact info.

My inspector was Lou Ann, who was a delight to work with. She called the night before to confirm the appointment and called 30 mins before the appointment to let me know that she may be 10 mins late. She was right on time.

She knew that I had a limited budget, so she went over various options with me that could help save money. She had all of the information she needed to quote the job in the computer in her truck, so she was able to put together the quote and an estimated date for the job on the spot.

All said, we did not end up using Lyons. The reason we did not use Lyons is because we had a tight timeline and they were not able to fit us in within that timeline.

I had Lyon Roofing out to provide a bid on a roof repair. The person they sent out was polite during his visit. He took notes and promised to submit a bid the next day.

Unfortunately, I didn't receive the bid the next day. I sent an email and left a voice mail a couple days later. His response was basically be didn't submit a bid because he could not warranty the work without replacing half the roof.  No other roofing company took this position for a minor repair.

Either way he didn't even bother to call or email to let me know his company cannot guarantee their work.  It sounded like these guys don't want jobs unless they exceed $5-6K.  Our job is just $3K. I guess business is going well for these guys.

This is a major red flag and I would avoid Lyon Roofing.

I am a professional remodeler. I have worked with hundreds of different sub contractors on thousands of different jobs. I have come to value and appreciate my great subcontractors more than they will ever know. Having said that Lyon's is my go to roofing company. They have such an organized process, are responsive, do what they say they are going to do, and their quality is excellent. If there is ever an issue (rarely) I can count on them to make it right quickly. They are everything I look for in a great subcontractor.  Thanks Lyons - you rock!

Totally satisfied with Lyons Roofing.  They were in contact with us throughout the entire process.  They did require a deposit but did not require the remaining balance until Shane our PM came out and did a final walk through and we were totally satisfied with the work.  Of the 5 estimates we received from other roofing companies, Lyons was the lowest and this was definitely not a get what you pay for performance.  The crew were extremely professional and clean.  They cleaned up each night even sweeping off our back patio.  We would definitely recommend Lyons and will be calling them in the future should we need a roofer.

We purchased our house in February and were told by the inspector that we needed to have several shingles replaced but otherwise the roof looked sound. We called several places, no one even bothered to call us back because our job was probably considered too little. One who did call back asked about the age of the house and condition of the roof and promptly suggested we might need a new roof. The house was built in 2008, it is six years old!! Anyway, my husband remembered a contact he had a Lyons Roofing so we called them. They scheduled an estimate promptly. The two gentlemen who came out for the estimate counted probably 20 loose or broken tiles so suggested they come out the following week with 30 tiles, just in case they needed extras. The gentlemen even tried to write up the estimate in their vehicle instead of getting our house dirty with their shoes, we insisted they come in and have some water and discuss the estimate with us at the table. These guys were professional, efficient, amusing and it was a pleasure to meet them.

The following Monday it was raining a lot and our appointment was Tuesday, the company called us to reschedule for Friday and since our issues were minor, we had no problem with this rescheduling. We had no leaks and I'm sure the company had other customers with emergency issues due to several days of rain. The Friday they came out exactly on time at 8am and finished the job promptly, charging us for exactly the number of tiles used plus labor and no more. Their service was efficient and professional. I would and have already referred them to someone.

Thank you Lyons Roofing

We had some roof damage after a recent storm on July 3rd.  I went to Rosie On The House to get names of roofing companies and started emailing.  Lyons was the first company that called, Katherine, even on the holiday weekend.  We set up an appointment for an estimate of a new roof as ours was 22 years old.

Jim Blackmon, the estimator, was first of all, early for the appointment, impressive.  The presentation was very professional right from the start.  The detail of the portfolio was impressive to me as I am a very detail oriented person.  The numerous pictures taken and Jim's ability and experience to answer all my questions was great.

The pricing was a bit of a challenge compared to the other two estimates, but we were able to arrive at a compromise.  Today, we made the decision to contract with Lyons for our new roof.  And, yes, Jim was again early for us to sign the contract.  It was based on detail and precisiveness, timely customer service and Jim's knowledge to accurately portray what we needed done.

The roof will begin the week of 6/28/14.  I hope we will be as happy with the actual replacement as we have been from the beginning.

Lyons Roofing came out to do a roof inspection.  They told us our roof was actually in good order - what we saw was not an actual issue with the roof - and that our roof had 8-10 more years of life.  He went further and recommended some things that should be done -- and here is the best part -- they told us what and how to do it all ourselves.  The cost for this was exactly $0.  We will definitely be calling them when we do need more extensive repairs.

Lyons Roofing service is above and beyond any of my expectations.  I have used them and recommended them to friends and neighbors for many years for the great job they have done in the past.  It is the latest experience I had that took the level or service to the highest level possible.  What was thought to be a roof leak was discovered to be additional caulking needed on a recent installation of windows.  Art Cargola, project manager, took the time to diagnose the problem and came back the following day to fix the issue.  This was not a roofing job, but he took care of the problem for me as a courtesy.   WOW, that care and service goes above and beyond.  Thank you Art and thank you Lyon Roofing.

Just had my walking deck done and am very satisfied.  I found Lyons Roofing on Angie's List - they had an A rating and now I know why.  I was impressed with each person throughout the process, from the sales guy (Mike), to the project mgr (Darren) who kept us informed, to the guys who did the job who obviously knew what they were doing.  The price was fair and the quality and customer support was great.

Lyon's Roofing MAY be a great roofing company.  They MAY be the best.  But I will never know this because they failed to deliver an estimate after visiting my house a couple weeks ago.

For me, it is all about first impressions.  How a company acts BEFORE getting your business is as important as after they get your business.  I contacted them via the online estimate request.  They called in a timely manner.  They scheduled a project specialist to come out that week.  So far so good.  The specialist called me and confirmed the appointment.  He arrived on time.  He was very knowledgeable and polite.  He stated he needed to get a satellite image of my home ordered and would have the estimate mid-week the following week.  He stated it would arrive via email.  A week passed and no email.  I called the following week.  The person who answered said they were busy and would have to get back to me in the order they received my call.  Finally, I get a call that evening.  The specialist told me he would try and have my estimate by the end of the week.   Well, it seems a bit long to wait for an estimate- 2 weeks?  Why not a simple call, mid-week (when they told me it would be done), to say they were running behind?  It makes me think they just forgot or did not care.

Im going with another roofing company.  The other company was also prompt and knowledgeable and highly rated with the BBB.  They responded to my follow up emails within minutes.  I received an estimate THE SAME DAY the representative came out, just as he said.  I will be writing up a review on that company after they perform the work.

All I am saying is that a person/ company is usually at their best/ or should be, when they are first trying to get your business.  If Lyon's roofing cannot even get me an estimate in a timely manner, why would I think they would complete work in a timely manner?  It sends up red flags for me when a company slacks off before they get your business.

If you want a roofing company that knows what they're doing (&, obviously, all of us do, right?), takes the time to make sure YOU know what they're doing & why they're doing it, & most importantly, won't try to swindle those of us who know nothing about roof durability & proper repair techniques, then Lyons Roofing is the company you want in your corner.  A very informative project specialist (Lou Ann) came by two days after my initial request for an appointment to assess damage to some clay tiles on the exterior portion of our complicated roof (pitches here, valleys there & flat, rolled roof areas on yet another portion) & to scope out a rather suspicious bulge in our interior kitchen ceiling.  She (yes, I said she) came to the appointment prepared with a Google Earth color printout of our roof with the problem areas highlighted based on the cursory info I had given the wonderful person (Katherine) with whom I spoke with initially to schedule the appointment.  After getting the lay of the land by viewing the ceiling areas corresponding to the exterior distressed areas, she got on the roof, took lots of pictures & closely explored the questionable areas.  Once she'd thoroughly assessed the entire situation, she showed me the pics & explained what my builder had originally done, what she would recommend & how these adjustments would fare over time taking into consideration the penetrating Arizona heat & how long-term sun exposure could affect the repairs, etc.  Each person I came in contact with from Lyons was extremely professional & very accommodating.  When planning for the repairs, they were very mindful of my budget & considered every aspect of the job to make sure it fell in line with exactly what we originally discussed with no surprises in the end.  This is the company you want making repairs to your roof - they have the knowledge & expertise to get the job done right & don't attempt to take advantage of the lesser experienced homeowner.

Perfect from start to finish.  I wanted to wait a few months and make sure everything was done as expected.  We did a layover my current asphalt shingle roof.  Jared came out, walked me through the whole process and why Lyons would be happy to do this job.  I made it very clear that I was going to have multiple quotes done and he gave me some great tips and questions to ask.  After that whole process they were a bit higher than most (about $1000).  After a conversation with Jared he was able to make the number fit a bit better.  My concern was quality over price and I made that very clear to all roofers who came out for an inspection/estimate.  They came out on time to start the job.  The crew was very informative and courteous.  The job took about 2 days longer than anticipated....BUT, I wasn't going to be home, and it was my roof.  It could have taken them a month and it wouldn't have hurt my feelings.  When I got home from my trip I had a new roof, new ridge top vent, new chimney cover, painted roof fixtures, and a new ac unit put back exactly as it should have been.  Yard was spotless as well.  I would recommend these guys to anyone.  Another very deciding factor, was they would handle any and all insurance clams due to hail, rain, or wind.  That's really important as those things are common here in Arizona.  Piece of mind, from a great LOCAL company, that follows that up with great work!
