Best Solar Panel Installation in San Francisco CA

I attempted to hang a new chandelier yesterday, which I would like to point out I have done several times before with no problems. However, yesterday I only succeeded in shorting out the electricity to half the house. I called an electrician we have used before, but he couldn't be reached and didn't call me back.

So today I went on Yelp and found Johti at Redwood Electric. He answered his phone right away and was at my house within hours. He found and fixed the problem quickly. (Note: if you're trying to hang a chandelier and find yourself asking, hmm, what are all these extra wires? then you need to call a professional.) He also noticed that the dimmer switch had blown in the whole debacle and offered to run out and get a new one. He came back promptly, installed the new switch and the chandelier, and the whole mess was over with in less than an hour and a half. He also made me feel better about my attempt by telling me that that particular type of wiring was more difficult than usual, and my ego felt slightly less bruised when he left.

Five stars for Johti. He'll be my go-to guy from now on.

We had a great experience with Valencia Electric.  We hired Valencia to remove one wall-mounted tv, and install another (with the cords hidden in the wall.  Because of a delayed tv delivery, we had to cancel our appointment on two occasions, and Valencia was extremely accommodating.  Natalie was prompt, efficient, friendly, and she did an exceptional job.

We randomly lost power in part of our house a few nights ago after hearing a weird zapping noise (never a good feeling, especially as a new homeowner). We called Wayne the next day and he was here within a few hours to assess the situation. He set us up with a temporary fix and, while not being pushy or overly salesy, advised us that we would need further work because the issue was a pretty significant safety concern. We trusted him and scheduled the bigger job, which was today. We were told the job would take 8 hours so we prepared to have no power all day. Two men came to do the work and were on time and extremely cordial and professional. The job got done in about 5 hours and we are extremely pleased with their work. Everything is working perfectly now - they installed a new electrical panel which looks amazing. Wayne also was super flexible with payment and offered us a payment plan which was extremely appreciated. Would a million percent recommend this company and we will definitely use them again for any electrical needs! Thanks so much guys!

Valary has been doing electrical work for our company for about 2 years now. We formally had a different electrician...who did somewhat of a spotty job. Valary came into our establishment and thoroughly identified every electrical outlet, electrical panel and wiring system. With this information we have been able to create an entire electrical plan on our floor plans. This has been invaluable!

Our office building is old and we have new needs frequently. Valary is always quick to accomodate our requests and thoroughly addresses our needs by sizing up the situation. He is happy to answer questions for us and has gone as far as trouble-shooting electric items/tools ... not part of a typical electricians job, but he does it none-the-less.

Valary is always professional, punctual, cleans up after himself (I love that!), and does a darn good job!

Eric has done several projects for us, we've been happy with the results, and we'll keep calling him for electrical needs.  He's rewired our bathroom, put in lights in our basement hall and garden, installed a level 2 EV charger for our new electric car in our garage, and done all the work for a garden office room we built (on a tight budget).  Our tenants also had some problems with their hall light and he repaired it right away.  We've got an old building.  He's very future-oriented, so I trust him to do work that doesn't get in the way of future projects we have to do on our house

They were very responsive when I sent them a repair request using Thumbtack.  When I described the problem with pictures, they found a way to fit me in the same day. They quoted me a price and were true to their word. The technician was prompt and quick, and cleaned up after himself. A job well done! I am so thankful to have heat during this cold snap.

Last Summer after several very hot days I realized ceiling fans would be the way to go so I purchased two. One to replace the one that is currently in my living room and one for my bedroom. I wanted the one in my living room to be moved to the front bedroom ... so three installs all together. I hired a local handyman... which turned out to be a very bad situation... he talked my ear off and watched the Giants Baseball game... all in all 6 hours to do ONE fan! He wanted to return the next day to complete the project but I couldn't go through another day like that so I went through Red Beacon and found AMP ELECTRIC. They responded to my inquiry immediately and came out at a convenient time for me. Eric and Gary discovered that I had some wiring in my ceiling that needed to be cleaned up and they did that for me free of charge ... they needed a part and went and came back quickly... they completed my job efficiently, quickly and with knowledge. I felt that they knew what they were doing and were extremely friendly, Highly recommend.

Julio is such a hard worker and we are so fortunate to have found him on Yelp. He scheduled a free estimate and was very fair with pricing. He was eager to get the job started and made sure that everything was perfect, before accepting payment. The job ended up being more challenging than expected, but Julio returned an additional day and completed the job. We will use him for any future electrical work.

Extremely happy with Berkeley Home Repair! I needed a kitchen faucet replaced, pronto!! Not a big job but one I could not do myself. Found them here on YELP and as it was stated, they responded back within 10 minutes! Wow!! Such a prompt response is quite a rarity these days, and the rest of the interaction was just as smooth.

They were able to squeeze me same day (another wow!). They were on time, courteous and professional. They can  handle projects of all sizes, and while I don't often have 'large jobs', it's even more comforting to know I can depend on them to help me with everyday projects, which do seem to come up quite often, and unexpectedly.

Was quoted $275 for installation of outlet for power & HDMI cables above fireplace (including running wires/cables in wall to outlets above fireplace). Petre said he would do the installation of the tv mount there too for maybe 300-400 more. Petre & another guy showed up and worked on both jobs at the same time. After they were done Petre says it took longer than expected, extra costs for two persons working on the job (even though it was the same two guys at the house the previous day to estimate the work needed for the job) and all of a sudden we owed $1120 without any prior warning. Nearly double the original estimate!

We also went to home depot the night before to pick up supplies he said they needed to do the job as well, which was additional expense to the inflated bill.

Afterwards he claimed the higher bill was because the tv mount was larger than others he had installed before but the labor time for the tv mounting was very quick compared to the time they had taken drilling holes through the studs in the wall. Drilling to wire in wall should be something they would be experienced with & was a necessary part of the electrical work that was needed for this job. A lot of other time was used up by him looking & discussing other jobs he could do in the house including replacing light switches, main / sub panels etc, so it definitely wasn't all active labor either, but rather discussing several potential future work to be done by him.

We even told him not to worry about the other side of the wall facing the garage in order to make the job easier and quicker for them (in additional to providing a ladder and additional light that they needed to finish the job but weren't prepared to have themselves), but even after that, the bill was nearly twice the estimate. And the multiple large holes on the other side of the wall still remain...

We also had Petre give estimates on a lot of other electrical work needed to be done on our two properties which totaled over 6k (including 2 new panels & replacing old wiring, recessed lighting, outdoor lighting etc) but we no longer want to use him again because of the grossly inflated bill for this small job.

After voicing our displeasure that the bill was nearly twice the estimate, Petre did not honor his original estimate, but rather said he would only credit us $300 for any additional job IF we used him again. We told him that it was not going to happen based on the very bad experience we had AND his refusal on making this experience any better without trying to tie multiple large additional jobs to the original quote he had given.

Will be looking for a new electrician

We had a great experience using Got Watts to install an EV charger and a new main service panel. Danny and his colleague did the work and were very knowledgeable. The work was done on schedule and we wouldn't hesitate to use Got Watts again in the future.

I needed some electrical work done around the house & these guys were seriously helpful. They provided some quick & easy work around the place with no problems what so ever. I'm pretty sure I needed some panels replaced & they did it pretty much hassle free for an affordable price. I'm glad I found them when I needed them because I still need work around my house and for their affordable price, it'll be worth it.

Wow MASTER electricians at work, haha finding a great company is very rare now a days, but i am so happy that it is an electrician because my place always be having problems. They love what they do and takes pride in their work in the manner of 'old world' craftsmen. First, John tried to talk to me about an electrical solution on the phone that would have made his service call unnecessary.  When that phone coaching proved too difficult, he promptly came up and solved an ongoing electrical problem that we've had for years.  If you like to be hands on,they are your team. He will put you to work and teach you what he's doing so you can be an electrician's apprentice!  He will curse out your previous electrician and tell you what a lousy job they did and why.  He will correct the problem and predict what is likely to fail in the future so it can be prevented.  I am a very big fan of this company, thank you guys for what you do!

Keith is an awesome electrician. He answered all my questions regarding my EV charger and gave me a fair and honest quote. Not only that, he came the same day and finished the job. Would highly recommend him and if I ever need any electrical help I know who to call.

If  I could give zero stars I would. Although the other review on Yelp cautions that there will probably be a scheduling mixup and high prices, I decided to go ahead to schedule a specific electrician that my partner used before. I called and the receptionist blocked out this morning from 9-11. When I called I clearly said, I want to be clear on the expectations. Is he coming out for just an estimate or will he have the equipment with him?

I'll leave him a note and if he has any questions, he'll call you, the receptionist reassured me. If he doesn't call, he's set and will show up.

Forward to 11:05 this morning. I call and ask where he is. She says that she only took a note for him to call me. I recount what she actually told me and she says Well, he's not scheduled for you this morning.

Well, I guess I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
