Best Kitchen Light Fixure Repai… in San Francisco CA
The service was everything we hoped. German was efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. He even went so far as to remove his work boots before entering our apartment without having to ask him to. This was appreciated since we just had new floors installed. We will certainly call them in the future when necessary.

I called Eleney Electric over the weekend with a small project at my home. Fearghal answered the call and came over personally to take care of my issue, and even scheduled a follow-up after the weekend with one of his crew. Clean and quick work and nice people to do business with. I highly recommend this local SF business and would happily use them again!

John was fantastic. I needed 3 thermostats installed specific for electric wall heaters and I had two contractors come out first and NEITHER of them could figure it out. Enter John. He had the deep experience necessary to complete the job easily and in addition was a pleasure to work with. His communication beforehand was excellent, he arrived on time, and was a nice guy who was most intent on doing the work correctly and not just rushing through it to get paid. Highly recommend him.

Natalie was available quickly for a quote, was very professional and seems knowledgeable. It was a larger job, which led to 2 negatives (minus 1-star for each):
1) She's an independent electrician with no team, so the job would have taken more time start to finish
2) Her quote, compared to 3 other similarly reviewed - 5-star - electrician firms was more than double (several thousand $$). Obviously, people are welcome to charge what they want, but it may be worth getting a 2nd quote just in case.

Edgar is very nice! He is very reasonable. He did the recess lightings on 3 of our rooms. He was fast and efficient! Would total recommend him!

I highly recommend Fitch Electric! Lucas was quick to respond to my inquiry. Scott was friendly and helpful with setting up an appointment. He as even able to get us in sooner with a cancellation that they had. John B came out to fix our problem and he did so quickly; and he was very knowledgeable. He was very funny and friendly too!

Jaime did an excellent job on a light fixture repair that was too small to convince professionals to reasonably quote but too complex to do ourselves. Compared to others that took days to schedule a call, discuss the issue, get pictures, come up with a quote (or even charge to provide an estimate) - Jaime was incredibly responsive and accommodated to visit and repair within a day of getting in touch with him.

Just had work done by Sam C. Terrific worker - handled a bunch of jobs quickly and efficiently and was extremely good about explaining what the problem was and the fix needed. It wasn't cheap, but Sam was exceptional and I will use BV and will ask for him in the future.
UPDATE- Just had some additional work done by Boris in my old and falling apart home. What a gem of a person! Fast, efficient and very ethical and fair. A very good professional experience. Will definitely use BV again.

Mario installed an outdoor outlet to a new irrigation timer for us. He was easy to communicate with, arrived on time, and explained all the options we had for how the work could be done. I highly recommend.

Recently purchased a Tesla (!) and needed a 14-50 Nema outlet installed in the garage. I got another quote from another electrician who told me he needed to also upgrade the panel since it was outdated and dangerous to work on. Kevin came in and confirmed it was outdated, but actually not that dangerous. I felt like he was much more honest and came in ~25% less than the other electrician. I really appreciated his candid and friendly personality. They did awesome work and arrived when they said they would (8am - one minute early!). While upgrading my panel, they were able to provide me with temporary power so I could work/have WiFi.
Bottom line: Recommend Kevin & Bay Electric Crew.

I hired Edward to install my new car charger at the house, and as expected, he did a fantastic job, working closely with me to order the right charger and install it in the most convenient location. Everything went smoothly. I will continue to hire Edward for all of my electrical needs.

I had an appointment for a quote on a major job exceeding $10K. They rescheduled on the same day due to inspection issues on another job, but I was ok with that.
During the actual appointment I was told a lot about permit requirements and plans that were inconsistent with what 2 other electricians told me or proposed. I had the impression that the electrician was not that familiar with city regulations and codes and PG&E policies.
A month later, I also never heard back from this company or received a quote.

RB Electric is a wonderful family electrical business - hire them!
My husband and I are remodeling our kitchen and we needed all new electrical. Our house is very old, from 1926 so it's cloth and tube.
We spoke with several companies and decided to go with RB Electic. The owner, Rigo, came out and walked us through what we needed. He is a pleasure to work with - clearly an expert at his craft and eager to provide a really good experience for us. We found his prices to be reasonable given the complexity of the work.
Rigo and his crew showed up on time and were ready to get started. Our job took an entire day and he had all of the materials (boxes, switches, etc) ready to go with him. They removed all of the old electrical and replaced it with new wiring and the correct boxes for the oven and fan hood. They worked very hard all day long and ask me a few questions along the way to make sure it was exactly what I wanted.
I've dealt with a lot of contractors over the years. Rigo and his crew are by far the best electricians I've ever worked with and we'll be hiring them again in the future. I highly recommend getting a quote from RB Electric and considering them for your electrical needs.

Michael came to my home to give me an estimate on changing out all of the electrical outlets in my home, recess lights, and outside security lights. He was very friendly but more importantly he is professional and knowledgable in his field. These days it is hard to find these three qualities in a person. I am very happy with his work. He also stands by his word. I thought something was wrong with one of the outlets, turns out it was my fault, he had no problem returning and checking out that problem to make sure my home was safe. I will be using Michael as my electrician. Helen Robinson

This project turned out to be a big one. 4 TV mounts and wire concealment - ranging from 40 to 86 inches. The owner was very professional. He conducted his work quietly and left no mess. As an experienced electrician, we also asked him to mount 5 new ceiling lights/fans. He finished the job quickly and it was just what we asked for. Extremely happy with the product! We'll be calling him for all of our future electrician jobs.

Ross is an excellent electrician, he got my sauna online in no time. Highly recommended!

We needed to have a main panel swap and add an NEMA 14-50 outlet for an EV charger in our garage. Daniel was prompt in responding, came out to see what needed to be done, and gave us a competitive estimate. He was very good at listening to what we needed and answering all our questions. He got the necessary permits and coordinated with PG&E and the city inspectors so our power was shut off only a short period of time. We also appreciated that Daniel followed Covid-19 guidelines with social distancing and always wearing a mask. We wouldn't hesitate to call on him again.

My general contractor recommended Four Square Electric and I was so grateful that they did! I am a local business owner and appreciate other businesses that understand not only the urgency of matters but are confident in their trades. Noah, squeezed me into his busy schedule in between jobs the very next morning. The complexity of the electrical problem did not phase Noah one bit, he knew exactly the steps to resolve the matter. I immediately felt he was trust worthy and felt at ease to give him a key so he could work while I was not there.
As it turns out, Four Square Electric worked on a local new construction residential project which implemented Leed Certified standards, from which i understand can be dynamic & complex from a Electrical and Plumbing perspective.
Noah, in particular, was a pleasure to work with and I already have recommended him to a few people I know who are building new construction residential projects. As a business owner, it is important to have a short list of contractors for planned improvements & emergencies and Four Square Electric is at the top of my list.

Dealing with Alley Electric and Wesley Sedain was the single worst experience we have ever had with a contractor. Not only were they rude, inconsiderate, and slovenly in their work habits, but they destroyed beautiful woodwork from the original 1922 build of the house. And their destructive tendencies appear to have been deliberate. We have no idea why. We have never met nor worked with these people before. They have a superior rating on Angie's List and now we believe most of those reviews have been fabricated. What else could explain this complete disconnect?
Our expectations are that this job is not a gut job but a finesse job. Which is why we chose Alley Electric. Their quote was meticulous, and the reviews were stellar. They charge a lot more than most other electricians, but we figured that was a sign of competence. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. For example, other contractors' quotes, as much as $5,000 less than Alley, included all patch repairs and even generator loans to keep the house functional overnight. Alley wanted nothing to do with fixing their own holes/messes. Nor would they offer us a generator, even though we would basically have no electricity in the house for nearly two weeks by their own estimation. That is ridiculous. And really unfair to our needs. As I stated, this is not a gut job. The house already has furniture and other personal effects in it. It is all in transition.
To start, they didn't contact us the day before work began just to confirm time and project scope. I had to contact them. I couldn't even get a response on their arrival time (8 AM) until 5:30 AM the day they were to start.
I had to all but beg them to put something down on our newly refinished floors. They put down craft paper. Later they actually put down a couple of crappy drop cloths, but not before getting the newly refinished floors all stained with plaster dust.
They proceeded to break plaster in unnecessary amounts around a couple of outlets before even trying to simply unscrew the housing, remove it, and seeing whether or not they could access the wiring.
Next, they drilled and chopped into the beautifully stained baseboards in the living room and dining room without masking off anything, nor marking or scoring the cut shape. When they cut through, they tore jagged chunks and strips of wood and finish around the holes and cracked some of the lengths of baseboard. We are still getting quotes on the repair of this work. It's as if they had never had to make a clean cut in wood their entire lives. Please see our supplied photos for the type of damages. You'll be horrified.
To look at the woodwork now is heartbreaking. We just purchased this house and are in love with its style, look, and feel. And now, after trusting our home to these idiots, we are punished just for trying to bring it up to date with current electric codes.
The insults to injury were simply that Wesley Sedain (the owner) wouldn't even acknowledge the damage nor did he offer to take responsibility for his team's destruction of our property. On top of it, he actually asked me is it going to be like this the entire job? When I started pointing out the damage and lack of care taken. The second insult was how he asked for the second installment, including the permit fee of $600. Being a good person, I was holding back and wrote a check for over two thousand dollars. With the initial deposit of one thousand dollars, he took well over three thousand dollars from us, damaged our property, and managed to insult us on top of it.
We fired them the next day. They have since sent us the permit but not the $600 fee we paid for it, nor any money for damages incurred, let alone work not done. And work that has to be redone.
This is nothing short of criminal. I sincerely hope that everyone looking for electricians comes across this review and runs as far away from Alley Electric and Wesley Sedain as possible. These guys have no sense of craft. No actual belief that their work is an extension of themselves and represents how they are viewed by the rest of the world. No pride in the work they leave behind for so many to view. And then the arrogance to actually ask for a check at the end of the day. It's all about the money. Get the money first... Wow. Now I sincerely believe all the glowing reviews they get are by their friends. Or people are bullied into it. Intimidated.
I would sincerely stay away. No. Run away! There aren't enough derogatory words out there that I could use to describe Alley Electric or Wesley Sedain. DO NOT USE! They will ruin your home.

The simple fact that these people try and deflect any wrongdoing should be proof enough to any potential clients that Alley Electric is not interested in owning up to their poor work nor are they offering any compensation. Simply trying to make us look evil for saying anything negative about them.

We had great success working with Phils Electric Co. The communication was quick straight from the initial Yelp project creation. Phil came the next day to review our old San Francisco 1957 home with a messed-up electric situation.
Phil is a very experienced engineer who has ideas and solutions for pretty much any problem you could have in your garage. He also knows the code and the local permit regulations well to offer the best strategy to finish the project quickly.
We had a non-trivial layout in the garage. Our water hose faucet was just 5 inches away from the panel. Phil and his partner Anthony were limited in the ways where the panel could be moved. So they offered a thinking out of the box solution to move the faucet away from the panel instead (it should be 36 away per code). Phil has plumbing skills as well and he quickly built a copper pipe extension and installed a new faucet in no time. As a result, our home was upgraded to have 125 amp service (new wire in the existing conduit), the proper grounding implemented (two 8 feet rods), the aux panel added for the future expansion, and the Tesla Wall Charger was installed. All this for less than two days.
As a homeowner who is curious about how things work and has the will to maintain my property, I was fascinated with Phil's wisdom and great experience. He gave me all the expertise on electrical, common risks, and general perspectives. So not only the work was done, but I feel confident that I can do some minor electrical improvements myself now as well.
