Best Gas Furnace Installation in San Francisco CA
AVOID AVOID AVOID!! Call PG&E and have them diagnose your system if it may be unsafe, rather than let these people touch your system!!
I would give negative stars if I could, as every time I see one of Service Champions' trucks I get a PTSD attack!
In my previous home in Pleasanton, in the dead of winter, I had a problem with my heater and Service Champions came and looked at it. The technician told me there was carbon monoxide (CO) detected around it and it was such a hazard that it should never be used again. He put a bright orange/red sticker on it that said it was unsafe and NOT to turn it on again.
I know nothing of heating/air so I took his word. He's the expert, right? He quoted me $15k to replace the heater. Although I was really upset and didn't want to go without heat, I said I couldn't make that quick of a decision for that big of a purchase, so I sent him away and over the next month brought in several heating companies to give me quotes. I was a single mom working work full time so this was not an easy task.
In the meantime, my daughter and I were so cold at night that I had to buy electric blankets just so we could fall asleep, it was so cold. Even then, we would wake up in the middle of the night with our faces freezing and runny noses.
None of the quotes I got from other companies was close to their quote (they were less, of course), and the last person kindly and honestly told me I should have PG&E come out and tell me what's wrong with it before I make such a big investment because he couldn't tell if I really needed a new one without turning it on.
So, I called PG&E, they came out and they told me that not only was the heater safe, but it was emitting less CO than you breathe in when you step outside of your house (something like 2-3 parts per million). He said that it's normal for gas appliances to emit a small amount, and there was nothing to be concerned about! All the heater ended up needing was a $75 service call from another heating company, and we were running again.
I was so enraged that I called and spoke directly with the president of Service Champions. He actually LAUGHED when I told him the situation. He said, Well, I don't know about you, but anything higher than zero is too high for me and my family. The technician did what he was trained to do. See this web page that indicates normal indoor CO levels is 0.5 to 5ppm for homes without gas stoves, and 5 to 15ppm for those that do: epa.gov/indoor-air-quali… Since he and his technicians are the experts, they know what is and isn't safe, what is and isn't realistic emission amounts, and he knew they were intentionally misleading me.
Here, my daughter and I went over a month with no heat, because his team had been trained to put customers in a precarious situation -- back them into a corner and put them under duress to sign a contract for new equipment they don't need... and he laughed at us! He never expressed any apology/regret/misstep for the stress they put me under, time I wasted setting up appointments for quotes, changing our lifestyle at home because we had no heat, and now further insulting me by mocking my ignorance about CO. I honestly don't know how people sleep at night using this type of business philosophy; I guess violating trust and eschewing truthfulness translates into cars, luxury items, nice bonuses, and that makes up for lost sleep (if there is any).
To summarize, in my own personal experience, Service Champions does not have an ounce of integrity, and I cannot more emphatically denounce their service and sales approach. If I were an elderly person living alone with nobody to help me make decisions, I probably would have just paid the $15k and assumed I was being helped.

I can't recommend Eric and his team highly enough.
I spent weeks, months trying to find a shop that could handle 1) AC panel upgrade, 2) 5-6 different 120V and 240V wiring (for us to convert from gas to electric for water heater, furnace, range, dryer), 3) manage the water heater install, 4) pull all electrical, plumbing, and building permits, 5) complete the scope on time and on budget to meet permit, tax credit, and state incentive requirements.
Eric and his team were professional and responsive; on budget and thorough; checked in often on feedback and design decisions; knew every inch of existing code and upcoming code changes; and are incredibly knowledgeable about all of these different appliances and buildings, the best cost/value/environmental benefit of each.
No other shop could have put eyes on everything we were trying to do on this whole home electrification project in a complex SF permitting environment and done such a great job in managing the project and me as a client.
6 stars out of 5!

We needed a new power outlet installed in our condo and got estimates from three different service providers. Fuse's estimate was in line with one of the other providers but Mikhail (the electrician from Fuse) was prompt, knowledgeable, and nice so we went with them. They sent me the quote immediately and scheduled the installation for two days later. We were really impressed with how fast they were able to get us on the schedule. Mikhail installed the outlet quickly with no damage. He took pride in his work and it was really high quality. We are very happy with the outcome. They did a great job.

If I could give them NO stars I would. They came to service our tankless hot water heater, and the service didn't work so we had to get a new one. After the fact, we found that they are way overpriced. They claim we purchased a membership and have called us numerous times about renewing even though we told them we sold the house and to cancel our membership. When we tried to explain, the woman in the office was extremely rude!

Dan the Man! Dan and his team did a great job installing our new LG Smart TV on the Family Room Wall, and our Samsung on our Bedroom Wall. Dan really went the extra mile for me.
He helped with the setup, and made all those cords disappear. He also threw in an extra cord. Dan did both TV's for a great price! We will use him again to install our ceiling fan,
and air conditioner. Oh, and Dan arrived early for the appointment. Who does that?

Andrew and Ivan came on time, unlike most other repair services. Very punctual. Had the parts with them, fixed it on the spot. Very professional and polite. Even took a look at my microwave and dishwasher and gave some helpful hints. Thanks guys!
