This company is amazing!
1) Ivan is very honest and friendly! He saved me thousands of dollars by suggesting simple fixes that I could do myself without any expensive new installation.
2) Jason and Timur just fixed our HVAC that has been broken for a week! They identified the core problem right away and fixed it in a short amount of time. They were very professional and courteous!
I recently had my furnace replaced by Eddie from Galaxy Services, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. From start to finish, Eddie was professional, courteous, and efficient.
When I first contacted Galaxy Services, Eddie was quick to respond and schedule an appointment that worked with my busy schedule. Our family already had experience with Galaxy, my husband hired this company to install a ductless mini split system, everything was done perfectly.
How happy I was when I found out that Galaxy offers electrical work too, since I urgently needed to install a Tesla wall charger. Pete arrived at the appointed time, quickly determined what needed to be done and named the price. Everything happened almost instantly, as soon as I approved the estimate, the day was set for the work to be completed, and since last Friday I have been charging the car from the new charger. High quality and short deadlines.

Andrew of Galaxy Heating and Air Conditioning came by and delivered excellent service which entailed removing and installing my bathroom fan. He first checked to see if it was necessary to install the entire housing which apparently was needed to be due to the size difference from the old fan opening. I asked him if he could also just check a outlet for me which turned out to be ok.
Was offered a refund and given an apology to remove my review by the owner. However, Yelp is giving an error message when I tried to remove it.

So so so thankful for Eddie from Galaxy AC Repair. During this heat wave, our AC unit gave out. The fan completely stopped working overnight. With two littles in the house, we reached out to several places that were recommended in a few online mom's groups. Galaxy was the only to pick up the phone on a Sunday morning AND offer an opening the SAME day. Eddie was kind to my littles, friendly, and honest. He got the AC unit fully repaired efficiently. I should also add, we had another popular company service our AC unit less than 2 months ago and at that time no note of the current repair made (there were two notes unrelated to today's issue).
Anyway, I highly recommend Galaxy. Thank you Eddie, the house has already cooled down!
Vitaliy was super nice and extremely knowledgeable. He cleaned the burner that was not working and did the other three for good measure. Everything was working great after that. It was a bit expensive ($190 - 15 minutes of work), but those are the prices in the San Francisco these days.

Eddie was prompt and assessed the source of problem with our Trane central air conditioning unit for our home in Walnut creek. We needed to replace the capacitor in our air conditioner. He went the extramile to find an effective solution to cooling our house during this heat wave. If I could give more stars to Eddie and Galaxy heating and Air Conditioning I would.

Our condenser fan stopped working over this weekend when the temperatures are crossing 100 degrees. I heard from a bunch of businesses on Yelp, but only Galaxy offered to service this on a Sunday. One our AC units went out during the hottest time of the year so called Galaxy. First, contacted them through Yelp and they were very responsive and professional through initial questions and scheduling. Eddie then came out to our house for diagnostics and was very professional and took time to explain and go through options available. AC went out on one of the hottest days. Made an appointment over the weekend and Eddie showed up a couple days later. Quick and easy fix on an AC capacitor. Awesome guy and great service.

Are they hiring freelance repair people? Because Pricing changed when they had to get a different repair person. Said pricing needed updating. Gave the model number to call center twice, as well. It's like they aren't listening and certainly don't care to get new customers. Cancelled my appointments.

called them to ask for help solving a disastrous installation someone else did and they sent an electrician the next morning! Slavik was wonderful. super thorough and thoughtful, worked with our wonky electric system and made everything work, and even offered to patch up our ceiling that was ripped by the previous job of some taskrabbit who didn't know what he was doing. the charge was more than reasonable -- thanks Slavik and thanks galaxy! will definitely recommend you to anyone who needs an electrician and will call again if we need one.

Our old dryer had an issue where the heating element isn't working. We reached out to Galaxy Heating and they sent over John, the technician, to do the inspection. John was very punctual and arrived with his bag of tools. After checking a few area, he found the source of the issue, thermal fuse. John got the heating element working but recommended replacing the fuse and cleaning out the ducts to prevent extra stress and work load to prevent another breakdown. Overall, John was great in solving the problem quickly, provide a temporary solution and educate us on how to maintain and extend the dryer's lifespan. Thanks John!
AC unit needed a new fan -- booked with Galaxy for the following day. which was great given the heat wave. Received 2 text confirmations then a 10 minute heads up from Ratmir. He was great, explained the issue and put us at ease. He easily fixed everything within 20 minutes!
Of course, our conditioner died on the hottest day, it was over 100. I was desperately trying to find a company that worked on Sunday. I was incredibly lucky to call Galaxy HVAC. Not only they were opened but they dispatched a repairman, Ratmit, almost immediately. Ratmir was very professional and very courteous. He immediately found the problem and explained in plain English what it was (alas, we need to replace the blower unit). Since the unit must be ordered, it might take a few days. So Ratmit hand-started the unit, explained how to ensure the blower does not automatically stop and how to manually restart when it does. We will have cool air until the unit is replaced! Thank you Ratmir, an amazing service! We will call them first from now on!

We got an old house that needed the tubes for the HVAC replaced and the whole job was completed in 2 days. We originally went with Galaxy because they gave us a better quote than the competition but I would always come back for the service and quality of work.
On the first day, a 3rd party had to come to remove the asbestos but Eddie (from Galaxy) also came to make sure everything was being done correctly which was greatly appreciated.
Eddie's the best, I highly recommend him and his team. Working with him was both very professional and friendly, and he did everything to make sure we are happy with their service.
We were having a problem with our zone system. Galaxy was the second HVAC professional to come over and we are glad we found them. Robert came over to diagnose and solve our problem. He was thorough and friendly. The other professional didn't know what they were doing (apparently) and Robert was able to resolve on the spot.
We'll be calling Robert again if we ever need more with our system.

Our AC stopped working. Eddie was out within 2 hours and had it fixed quickly. Very professional!
This company is great. I requested a quote Tuesday and a tech was able to be here Thursday.
Eddie is great he was about to diagnose the issue within 5 mins and helped us replace a bad thermostat before the cold evening. Very honest and efficient work, he did not try to oversell anything more than what we needed.
Highly recommended, we will definitely reach out again in the future for cooling options when the summer comes.
Had a fridge problems hours before we had to catch our flight. Technician showed up within an hour and knew what was wrong and fixed it. He also was nice enough to tighten the handles of the fridge which was really thoughtful.

We called them out to do some heating work because PG & E couldn't fix the problem, they said it's a $25 part at Home Depot. So we called Galaxy heating to come out and look at our wall heater, Jon the technician came to look at it, He said it's going to take 2 weeks to order the part that is needed to fix the problem we said ok...keep in mind we have 2 kids in the house.
2 weeks later... Jon came about 9:30am and looked at the unit and 15 mins later 9:45am he said welp I can't fix it and said the screws were too old and rusted, and told us we would have to contact the landlord and get a whole new unit... which makes no sense because he didn't want to do his job and maybe use WD-40 to loosens the screws. Instead we get You need a unit which is going to cost $9000.00 !!!! At the very least the Tech Jon should of walked us thru on what was needed instead of just walking out the door in a rush.
So we called them back and asked someone else to come back out, now two guys showed up at 3:10pm
They were working on it and update Jon ordered the wrong part .... We have to order another part and come back in a couple of days!!! 4:30 pm

After a poor AC installation by a different company, Galaxy have been saviors for me, fixing all the mistakes the original company made, and supporting it while the original company stopped even returning my calls. Eddi at Galaxy explained the situation in detail, was very up front about price, and I came away very happy. They set up a time far earlier than expected when HVAC companies are swamped with the hot weather.
We needed our refrigerator serviced as it was leaking water in 2 places. The technician that arrived (on time) was efficient, courteous and explained what the problem was very well. We would definitely use them again

I contacted Galaxy for help installing an hvac system in my garage as I want to use it as a gym and office.
Ivan arrived at the appointed time the next day on Monday, after a short inspection, he offered me a ductless heatpump system that would not only cool but also heat my garage. I really liked Ivan's approach and level of professionalism.
I received an estimate with a complete and understandable description of the work, and the price was right for me.
The whole installation process took a day and a half. The team of technicians was very polite, did the job very well, the level of service was also on top. Everyone worked in masks, gloves, they entered the house only in shoes covers, everything was cleaned after work.
Everything works great, thanks to the whole Galaxy team for the work done, I will definitely use your company and recommend to all my friends.
On Oct, 21, 2022: Colin came out to fix my dryer, he was on time, professional, listens to the issue with the dryer and really takes his time to find the problem. They also guaranteed the work for three months!

A little over a year later I get a call from one of the Jr Partners of the company and said they are under new management and like to resolved my review on here. He asked if there is anything they could do, and I was iffy at 1st, but after speaking with him, I said my AC hasn't been service since I got it. He said he would come out and service it at no charge. I told him that's not what I'm looking for, FREE, and we agreed on a price he came out himself (the Jr Partner) and did the service on a Saturday.
He was very thorough and explained everything he was doing. At the end he refused to charge me and gave me the explanation of you already paid with your time when we came out the 1st time and we weren't able to fix it. Again I told him I don't write bad reviews to get free stuff. He said, I'm NOT charging you. An hour after he left, he calls and said he would also like to refund me the service charge that I paid a year ago, I told him that wasn't necessary, he insisted but I won that battle.
I would recommend Galaxy to anyone. Their customer service has changed.

All what you need from a great appliance repair service and then some. Timely, knowledgeable, skilled and experienced. Their office comes across as professional and communicative. I'm a bit technically inquisitive and do my homework to understand the likely issue and likely solution before allowing technicians on-site. Steve and I looked at the UI panel together (and the rest of the dishwasher), and he let me look at the problem area during the course of diagnosis and i was able to feel the rapport and trust I needed to feel about a technician and about the actual issue and the solution.

The air conditioner fan stopped on Tuesday evening when the record-breaking heat continued.
I called a few places on Wednesday morning, but I couldn't find a place that I could come right away, but only the Galaxy service answered that I could come the next day.
On Thursday Ratmir came in and found out that there was a problem with the motor and came back with the parts in the evening. Although the sun has already set, my family can sleep in a cool house because they work in the dark. Thank you, Ratmir!

A/C went out evening of 7/3. I texted a few companies & Galaxy answered very early on 7/4 with an appointment for 10-12 on 7/4. Eddie was here by 11, discovered the problem in about 5 minutes and completed repair in about an hour! Galaxy is my new go to A/C company!

Thank you to Galaxy's super responsive, professional and skilled team! I was thrilled that a Galaxy dispatcher picked up the phone on a Sunday and I was able to schedule a technician for the next morning. When the technician (Colin) arrived, he efficiently tested, diagnosed the issue on my washing machine (failed drain pump), and ordered the required part. While he quoted one week, it came quickly and two days later, he installed the replacement and we were in business again!
We were so impressed with Galaxy that we called them again about a different lingering problem with our washer (torn drum gasket). This time, the dispatcher Ana was very courteous as we emailed her pictures and she worked with the technician to order what we needed. Once again, Colin came to replace the part. Both times, we appreciated Colin's professionalism, efficiency and skills, and overall, Galaxy's speed and responsiveness. I highly recommend them!

Big shoutout to Eddie and his team at Galaxy Services. It's been a month since his team replaced our furnace and everything has been working great. Points to highlight:
1. Responses and followups were timely and prompt over chat and voice calls.
2. Detailed and knowledgeable diagnosis: Our furnace was emitting a smell and spontaneously shutting off. Eddie came by and identified that the radiator coil was broken and emitting harmful gas, which meant that legally, we would not be able to operate our old furnace. Eddie gave us his full reasoning of how he identified this issue and encouraged us to get a second opinion if we weren't confident before deciding whether to replace the entire unit or just the coil. He also gave us a detailed explanation of the complications of our current furnace with respect to maintenance and parts replacement, and talked about the pros and cons of going with Carrier vs. Goodman.
3. Very fast installation of the replacement: We decided to replace our heating unit, and a team came the same afternoon (after Eddie's evaluation) to take the old one away. The next day, another team came by and installed the new furnace. Eddie also identified that we didn't have a proper vent + filter and bought those parts and installed them for us too.
4. Cleanup: The team took the time to sweep and vacuum the affected areas after installation.
Hi everyone ! 3 days ago my AC unit stop cooling , no cold air . After i check YouTube and follow step how to found a problem , I found a freon leak. I called Calaxy Service, where they answered me immediately and sent a technician the same day, for which I thank them. The technician wrote me in advance how soon it will arrive. That day Ratmir came to me, who was very professional and friendly. He quickly discovered the freon leak and explained why it happened and how to fix it. After discussing the price, he proceeded to repair and after a couple of hours I again enjoyed the cold air. Thanks Ratmir. Highly recommend

Yesterday our old AC that came with the house stopped working. I decided to call Galaxy appliance based on the reviews on Yelp and Google and I'm more than happy for choosing them. The whole process of repair was quick, easy, and professional. Scheduling was easy and the team was very responsive.
Eddie the repairman came in as scheduled and saved the day for our house. Our fridge stopped dispensing water and ice and he was able to identify the issue and make repairs the same day. He kept me updated on all the issues that came up and provided options for our landlord to decide on how to move forward. Lastly, he was very clean and organized in his work area. Technician replaced a part that PG&E identified as broken in my furnace. He also found a broken piece in the incoming pipe that he took care of as well. He assembled everything back the way it was. Rob, the owner of Galaxy HVAC reached out to me. I explained to him this incident happened a while ago--January 2022--and that for the longest time I was hesitant about posting a review, but it had been nagging at me ever since.
Rob assured me the experience I had with Galaxy was atypical of how they conduct their business. Their technicians are well trained and experienced and the tech who visited my home is no longer with the company. Rob also refunded the fee for the visit.

Ratmir was friendly and knowledgeable about our washer issue. He was able to finish repairing it the same day (couple of hours).

Our Thermador refrigerator temperature was off. We reached out in the morning, and Robert was here by noon. He was very knowledgeable, incredibly diligent in identifying the issue with a corroded pipe, and we were fortunate that Galaxy did enough work with these that Robert happened to have a spare/broken compressor from which he could salvage a spare part to create a same-day solution for our refrigerator. My washing machine was leaking when running it so I put out a Yelp Project and Galaxy was one of the first to respond to me with the soonest and most affordable option. John came by and basically reset everything to factory setting and voila, it was fixed. He was gone within the hour -- super speedy!

Eddie saves the day!
I called on Labor day when My AC unit stopped working. Eddie was dispatched out the following day and quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue. He was honest and upfront with me about my AC unit. Provided helpful insight how I can better protect the Unit, and what replacing it might look like.
All and all a very quick and painless process.
I had Robert come out tonight to fix a leaking pipe issue on my furnace. He completely met all of my expectations. Despite having to spend more time than the job would typically require, he kept a positive attitude and I definitely got the vibe that he's very honest in his work. As a customer, that's really all that you care about. Highly recommend.

They were quick to respond. I did not use their service as we cleared out the debris that was clogging.
Highly recommend! Our air conditioning stopped flowing cold air and we called in the morning and were able to get a same day appointment in the morning. Two technicians came out and assessed the situation. They were very knowledgeable and knew what they were doing. I appreciated Galaxy's courteous and professional service. I will definitely be calling them for my future appliance repair needs.
Galaxy heating and air conditioning is the real deal. I had an electrical issue at my house where half the house started randomly tripping and loosing power. I did some fix myself but the problem kept on resurfacing. Peter came and checked all the switches and the problem did not occur as I described to him initially. He did not stop there and asked me to turn all the appliances and waited for 10-15 minutes to see if he can reproduce the tripping. It surfaced eventually, and then he confirmed that one phase has no electricity. From there he found the root cause and replaced the problematic breaker switch. I commend his patience, professionalism and the willingness to find the real issue that helped resolve it for us. Would highly recommend Peter and Galaxy heating and air conditioning. Very professional and came exactly on time as promised.

11/7/22 - My natural gas central heater is a Johnson Controls brand, which would intermittently turn off and wouldn't turn back on until it decides to do so (4hr, 12hrs, 2 days, etc.).
Their technician, Eddie, came by and was very kind. Eddie was able to do a full troubleshoot and diagnosed the cause of complaint down to the control panel. Once diagnosed, Eddie invited to show me what the problem was, which of course, I'd accepted as I'm a visual learner. He was able to walk me through his troubleshooting steps in diagnosing the problem, and it actually made sense to me!
Parts would have to be ordered, so before leaving, Eddie was able to locate the OEM parts and create a quote, with parts and labor, for my review. I felt the quote was a fair price, due to not only the problem finally being solved, but also also to Eddie's customer service.
Once parts arrive, Eddie said he will contact me to schedule another visit to complete the repair, which I will add on to this review.

Our AC went out during the heat wave when it was over 100 degrees outside. It started blowing out warm air and made our home even hotter. I called around to see if anyone can come and fix it right away because there was no way we were gonna survive without the AC. I called about 5 different places and most of them said they can't come out until a week later. I called Galaxy and they were able to get someone to come out the next morning. Our tech Eddie sent me a text to let me know he was on his way. I appreciated the heads up. When Eddie came, he assessed our AC unit and knew what was wrong with it right away. He said he can get it fixed in 30 mins and he got it fixed and cool air was coming out again. He was very knowledgeable and wanted to make sure we were taken care of. So thank you Galaxy and Eddie for saving us from melting in this heat!

Took the entire day to take apart the fridge and diagnose a refrigerator not working problem to a compressor gas leak and recommend compressor replacement which would be more than the cost of a new fridge!
With a $30 leak detector device from Amazon this diagnosis can be easily determined to be false! Now the fridge is magically working again; it was likely just some frozen coils that needed to be thawed out.
My washer was making a strange sound and not spinning properly, so I called and I was set up with an appointment within minutes. Steve arrived on time and offered great customer service.
Will absolutely use them again.
Colin, the Galaxy Representative was early to both appointments .
On the first visit he quickly diagnosed the problem, explained the issue, and let me know that he had to order the part.
He returned, fixed the oven, tidied up and did an excellent job.

Very communicative and responsive. Fairest assessment and price I got. I looked at 2 other places and went with Galaxy.
Last Wednesday I requested an oven repair and subsequently added the repair of my washer and dryer. I was quickly scheduled for a Saturday appointment. The repair guy spent most of his time on his phone looking up how to repair my oven. For now, it's working and I'm grateful for that. The guy spent the next two hours in my garage only to inform me that he had to get to his next appointment and he couldn't fix the appliances because he couldn't get reception in my garage to look up the repairs, even though the kitchen where reception was fine hours before was just steps away. He then said he'd look up how to repair my washer and dryer later that day and would send me an estimate. Nothing ever came. I called the company on Monday to explain what happened and was advised that before they could do anything, they needed to speak to the repair guy. By mid-week, I messaged the owner of the business on Yelp, explained the situation, and asked for help to get my appliances repaired. It's now a week after my appointment and I still have not been contacted by the repair guy, company, or owner. Terrible customer service.
Update: the owner contacted me and apologized for my experience. He offered to have someone else repair my washer and dryer, but I already purchased new ones. The owner then refunded my payment for my stove, which o really appreciate. Updated my rating from 1 star to 3.

Eddie provided great service when the furnace in the house I was renting went out. I liked that he was so transparent, and he was easy to talk with. He facilitated a mutual discussion with the owner to select a replacement. He addressed my concerns of time without heat and gas. He turned on gas so we had hot water overnight before he completed the installation the following day. He was always respectful and kind - my wife and I felt safe having him in the home for long periods of time. He took pride in his work and covered the details on what he was doing and why.
We purchased a new Samsung gas range which had issues with the oven temperature from the day it was installed. The Galaxy team persevered with a difficult problem to diagnose and repair. John, our technician, was very professional, courteous, and timely during his visits. We recommend Galaxy for home appliance repair services.
Technician told me I had a $600 problem and that the water line was broken. He later said it was $450 then back up to $500.
I felt it was too much and called Another repair firm who said that the refrigerator was not at Broken and explained the problem to me.

Great experience today working with the technician, Eddie. He arrived on time and was able to determine the issue right away. Parts were ordered and the quote was fair and honest.
This is based on the quote and the service they gave through that. I didn't choose them because they could come on Tuesday (I was calling on a Thursday) and I wanted them to come by earlier. I am glad that I reached out to them, because although I went with another service, I have a sneaking suspicion that they would have provided me the service the way I wanted.
My issue start when asking for a quote. They were one of two companies that I contacted that had that information. I think next time I'll call sooner and get the quote faster so that I can get on their schedule.

My dishwasher broke. And my building contracted Galaxy to repair it. The expert I worked with was Chris, and I had a fantastic experience with him during the whole process of two visits. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and communicative.
He identified exactly what was wrong with my dishwasher, and patiently accommodated my questions (I have a curious nature). He even showed me the damaged part and pointed out what he suspected was wrong with it.
He was also willing to provide recommendations on which detergents to use and NOT use in my dishwasher, which was super helpful.
The whole process was great, and he was professional and did a great job during both visits. During the first visit, he identified the issue and ordered the part after, and coordinate with building management about it. During the second visit, he replaced the malfunctioning part with the new one. He got the job done, with friendliness, expertise, and no frills. And I'm a happy tenant who can enjoy the laziness, I mean convenience, of using a dishwasher.
And of course, his COVID precautions were on point.
Would absolutely recommend him for appliance repair needs in the East Bay.
Another great service - our dryer has some problematic items, like restrictive exhaust that creates heating problems. I called Galaxy and they booked an appointment within 2 days and arrived on time, including a text confirmation just before arriving, Ratmir was back again and quickly took care of our issue. He is right to the point in getting the repair completed and gave me some additional tips. I got the returning customer discount and of course, the waived diagnostic fee for the repair. I really trust these guys.

This is the second time I've called Galaxy to fix appliances at my home. Today Eddie and Robert resolved an issue with my stackable washer and were very professional and efficient. Thank you so much, guys!!! The first time I used Galaxy, Steve and Chris were excellent as well.
Called them after reading reviews on Google and here and the experience I had reflects all the positive reviews! Our issue was non urgent (ice building up in freezer) so it was scheduled a few weeks out. The repair person identified the issue and explained how to easily avoid it occuring again in the future. I also asked him to check if the way we cleaning the filter was adequate since it's a bit tough to get to. He did. As he was putting his things away I asked if he also did furnace repair, explaining that we'd never had a furnace where the filter was at the intake vent and reusable, so concerned we weren't cleaning it correctly. He stopped to look at it and confirmed we were cleaning it fine and what to look for when/if we need to replace the filter. And extra step that was reassuring to us.

Seldom does a business turn back and try to turn the clock and set things right after a while. I received an earnest call from Eddie who explained that the business was under new management and ensured that I was refunded for the fracas that had happened earlier. Many a times, companies take a cookie cutter approach to apologize for past issues and forget to address the inconvenience faced by the customer. That was not the case with Galaxy Heating.
I will definitely reach out to them if a situation with HVAC applicances arises and wholeheartedly recommend them, especially Eddie.

Got my AC installed by Galaxy yesterday. I shopped around and Galaxy gave me the best quote with very good warranty. The installers were awesome. They faced some difficulties during the installation and were quick to come up with creative solutions. During the process they found that some of my existing HVAC components were not working correctly and they replaced them free of charge. No one wants to have their LG refrigerator compressor replaced, but I am happy to report that Galaxy Services made it easy and did quality work. They communicated well and were up front about costs and timing.
The day of the repair, Robert arrived on time and had all materials to complete the job. His knowledge and experience at changing out an LG compressor showed! The job is much more complicated than just swapping out a part and Robert was meticulous in his process of evacuating, removing, installing, charging, and then testing the replacement compressor.
We're back to a cold fridge and appreciate Robert of Galaxy Services for completing the work.

Great service!! Electricity didn't work in 2/3 of my unit. The electrician found the issue, showed it to me, pointed out the damage that it caused and how he was going to fix it AND fixed it in an hour. Once he fixed the wires, he tested each outlet in the unit to make sure every last thing worked. Very reasonable rates, I would highly recommend to anyone nervous about hiring an electrician for the first time like me. They were able to book me for the following day of me contacting them. They accepted cash/card/venmo. I plan on using their services again when I make upgrades to the unit.
Eddie really went above and beyond fixing my old AC unit. Was really knowledgeable while explaining and walked me through his processes. Really good AC repairman and I recommended him!
We have a built in GE monogram refrigerator built in 2000. When our fridge was no longer cold but the freezer was working as normal we knew something particular was wrong with one side as opposed to the entire appliance.
We did a Yelp search and Galaxy was near the top based on reviews so we reached out. They responded within 20min or less and we had scheduled an appointment for later that same day.
The service technician was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He examined our appliance, identified the issue, repaired it and made suggestions on how we could extend the life of the appliance overall.

The icemaker on our Whirlpool refrigerator stopped working suddenly. After using Yelp to message several appliance repair companies, Galaxy was the first to respond with an available 2-hour time slot within the next two days. On the day of the appointment, the technician texted me with an estimated arrival time 30 mins prior (as requested). He even showed up earlier .... which is a rare occurrence these days.
Then the technician was able to diagnose the problem within 1 minute! He provided a quote, then proceeded to fix the unit for the next 30-40 mins.
Showed the Yelp coupon deal to the technician, and am waiting for the final invoice. A good and easy experience for me and my tenants.
This team is fantastic! They're communicative, on time, and really know their stuff.

Our air conditioning system went out of service during the September heatwave, and the Aaron Galaxy technician serviced out unit. tye technician spent many hours late into the night getting out system running.
I highly recommend using Galaxy for your service needs.
Have used those guys twice over 3 years. They have now fixed both my AC that had blown a fuse and main board because I was careless when installing a Nest.
It was about 4pm, in December, they came same day. Inspected, and determined the problem. He did not have the parts needed with him. Instead of coming back the next day, he made a call, went back to the office, and back in an hour to fix it. Said he doesn't want my two very young kids to be cold tonight (it was cold).
Not only did he go above and beyond by working late, he identified other issues with the HVAC unit mounting, and fixed it for me no charge. He told me about it afterward. Prior to him fixing it I would always hear a rattle noise against the ceiling when the fan is on. Not anymore!
Recently they came to fix my POS 3 year old LG refrigerator that broke (don't buy LG with linear compressor). It was out of warranty, so LG won't fix it. They quoted a price + labor. I was hesitant. Instead he offered to contact LG in regards to warranty, but said it will take a month before they will get the parts. I was skeptical, as I had contacted LG and was told I'm outside of my warranty.
3 weeks later. Here they are. Free parts through warranty in hand, came the very next day, always on time, and fixed it right away. Cost was cheaper than initially quoted for just labor, and overall cost was 35% less!
Honest, trustworthy, prompt, professional, excellent communication with a very positive attitude. Can't say the same with most other companies I've gotten quotes from, which sounds like DMV clerks/government workers, as if I have no choices and need them more than they need me as a happy customer.
Overall very pleasant to work with. Highly recommended.

Furnace stopped working ahead of a cold week. Sent an inquiry and got a response within 10min, Ratmir showed up 10 minutes later - he must have been nearby. Was Monday, diagnosed likely issue as the control unit. Ratmir was great, explained everything he was looking at on the furnace while he checked. Later that evening received a formal quote which was reasonable- they had to order the part for the 14 year old furnace. Follow up scheduled for Thursday morning, 2hr block. Ratmir was on time, installed the new unit, no surprises and furnace worked fine. Given the age of the furnace getting the part and installing it took ~2.5days from proposal acceptance which felt pretty fast.

[Actual review of Galaxy HVAC at the bottom].
After my last review, which I hope still shows but who knows how apps handle their updates anymore, the third party property management company messaged me complaining about me making the review instead of contacting Galaxy HVAC to find a solution (paraphrase), despite me trying to keep the landlord up to date with what was happening (which I think legally is what I am supposed to do since the last update I gave them was that there needed to be a compete reinstallation of my unit... which I can't just go and authorize construction/installations/etc. myself. They never responded to that update for almost a whole month). I suppose that was a mistake. Therefore, I believe most of the issues were instead the poor communication of the property management and has less to do with Galaxy HVAC, so I digress.
Actual review: Anyways, the owner of Galaxy HVAC also messaged me, much more kindly, and offered to take a look himself. Very appreciated. He found that his previous worker installed the inducer motor correctly but that was all that could be done with the old unit. In fact, the old unit its actual installation violated health and safety regulations, whether it was incorrect unit placement, incorrect wiring/tubing, fire hazards, and it turned out that there wasn't even filtration installed correctly (hence no filtration at all). Not sure how much dust and stuff I've been inhaling. He was actually quite concerned about my immediate and future health and promised to get a nice HVAC installed for me. Not sure how concerned I should be since there's no changing the past. I appreciate how the boss seemed to really care about my health and getting the installation done.
They reinstalled everything with new stuff and so far everything is working fine.
This was for a wall heater replacement.
Galaxy immediately responded with the quote and that they could come the next business day. It was super easy, and billing was electronic, so I didn't even have to be there.
There was an issue with the electric starter such that the heater wouldn't turn on (started about a day after they came). They came by the next day and 'fixed' it by forcing it on permanently. Oops. But they came by the following week to install a new electrical connection. All's well that ends well! They're super responsive and get the job done.
Our washing machine abruptly stopped draining and Galaxy Services quickly scheduled a technician to review and fix the issue. Their technician, Colin, was very friendly and confirmed my suspicion that the drain pump had worn out and replaced it on the spot. The washing machine has been running well ever since. We plan on calling Galaxy Services for future appliance repairs.
I have a fridge that's been having issues with keeping temp for the past year. I've called out more than two people and the problem couldn't be solved. After exhausting resources I came across Galaxy. I called and was able to get service same day as a new customer! Which these days is quite unheard of. Within 4 hours from inquiry, I was greeted by a professional of the name Colin. He immediately started the diagnostic with precision and detail. Inspecting parts the two companies ignored and overlooked. Within 45 mins Colin had discovered two issues which required parts. In less than 4 days I had a service sent out and was greeted by Colin again. He proceeded to fix the issues and was a pleasure to work with. Would definitely ask for Colin if he is in your service area and galaxy for facilitating a good experience
Well done especially during COVID. Ratmir was very respectful, timely and professional. Most of all he knew what he was doing as our microwave had a weird sound all of a sudden. He diagnosed and told us what was needed. Then we waited for the parts to come in and they immediately set-up an appointment for us. It's odd to say how life without a microwave was inconvenient. Now we have it back and life is back to normal - thank you!
Also it was nice that they use an app which texted us to know when he was on the way. I'm glad to have an appliance repair service I can rely on. Relieved.
Needed a heater inspection, they were on time, reasonably priced and thorough. Inspector described heater condition, ducting and other issues clearly and gave me a good idea on maintenance issues that might come up. Would use again.

My A/C went out right in the middle of the worst heat wave we've ever had. So grateful to Galaxy for being able to send Eddie out less than 24 hours after I called. Eddie was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and explained everything he was doing. After replacing the capacitor and topping off the Freon, he had my A/C back up and running in less than an hour. Eddie contacted me about 60 minutes after he left, to follow up and make sure everything was working as it should -- which it was. Great job!!
I didn't end up needing the service, but I called & emailed with questions on how to diagnose and what to expect on costs. Despite knowing that I may not need their service, the reception service and diagnostic follow up was quick and clear. Sharing my story to share how they work.

Galaxy was fantastic! They were very responsive and quickly sourced the parts needed to fix my dryer. Ratmir arrived on time and was very polite and knowledgeable about my dryer. He fixed it quickly and also pointed out and vacuumed out a lot of lint buildup that was a potential safety issue inside the dryer panel. It's an old dryer and I had no idea that was occurring and was very grateful he pointed it out. I would definitely recommend Galaxy. They were true professionals.
Eddie from Galaxy Heating did a great job fixing my old Wall Heater in which we could not turn on and have not used for a longtime. Eddie arrived ahead of the scheduled time and fixed the problem quickly.
Really solid customer service and gave great, transparent advice about our stove (i.e. repair vs. replace). Would absolutely use them again.

Another 5-star rating for Galaxy here. I wanted a heat-pump system installed for a work room in the basement, and got three bids. Galaxy's Matt Miller came out quickly, knew his stuff, was open to my comments and requests, and sent me a bid the next day. The other two bids were not bad, but there was a small question in my mind about each: one salesperson had to be re-contacted about coming out, and the other representative seemed very breezy; I am old and not very cool, and prefer a straightforward approach. Galaxy was clear, and I went with them. They scheduled the install very quickly, once I'd made my decision. Chris and Mike came out, worked hard all day, and truly left things cleaner and neater than before they came. And of course: it works! Very happy. They took care of the rebate paperwork, too, which with the tax credit makes this improvement so much more affordable.

The team was very responsive & I was able to quickly get an appointment to fix my leaking washing machine. Colin was very polite and quickly fixed the leaking hose!
My furnace was not firing up. They responded immediately with a diagnostic quote and a suggested appointment time. Robert came an hour later, found the problem, gave me a quote, installed a new ignitor, plus he gave me suggestions how to install my DIY thermostat. Very happy with their service.

Colin and Sam came to my home to check on a wall heating unit. They were an incredible team! They were on time, polite, well-mannered, explained things to me, cleaned up after themselves and were organized and kind. And they solved the problem and now the heater is working. I called a few places and Galaxy had the most reasonable fee for coming out to diagnose the problem and they could come the next day. I will use them again and would love to have Colin and Sam back any time. Great work and service! Thank you.
The air conditioning unit stopped working in the middle of a heat wave. We called several different AC repair companies and they were all booked out for several days to a week and a half, yikes! We couldn't even cool off at night by opening our windows because of the smoke from the local wildfires, so we kept going down the list of AC repair options. We called Galaxy, they picked up the call right away, and they were able to get someone out to fix our AC within an hour!!
We were thrilled with their speedy service and even more thrilled when they were able to fix our problem in a very short time period (the technician was in and out within about 45 minutes). The price was reasonable and he explained what the problem was (melted wire likely from recent power surges during rare dry lightening storm we had in August). They gave us options for what we could do, but we went ahead and had the tech fix it for us, and now our AC is running nice and cool.
It's over 100 degrees today and Galaxy Appliance totally saved the day!!!!
Very professional service. Colin was very knowledgeable about the appliance, knew exactly what the problem was and was very couteous as well. Will be using them for sure in future and highly recommend for others too.
We had an AC issue during the heat wave and I used Yelp to contact six repair shops. They were the only one that could come out. Some were silent.
Communication was excellent via Yelp and texts. They arrived on time and did a fine job diagnosing and fixing the problem, and changing out our filters.

Heads up: this business is sending unvaccinated technicians into your home. If vaccination is important to you, then you may want to consider another vendor. As i have an 80 year old grandmother living at home, vaccination is a very important factor in letting anyone into my home, especially with the Delta variant now making up over 80% of infections in the US.
The suggestion made by the owner is to ask in advance about the vaccination status of the person you will allow into your home. Ok, that was why i posted the heads up. I made a bad assumption in thinking that Galaxy would send only vaccinated technicians. That assumption was wrong. Our malfunctioning Maytag oven ruined dinner enough times that we finally gave Galaxy a call. They sent over Steven who fixed us right up with a wink and a smile (I'm assuming the smile , he very conscientiously wore his mask the whole time.) Thank you Steven! We can bake and roast once more.
Colin, the technician, was professional and so very competent. An intelligent and personable young man. The entire experience with Galaxy was A+ from start to finish. Excellent communication on all levels.
We decided to reach out to Galaxy Appliance Repair when our dryer wasn't drying clothes as quickly as it used to and it was starting to make a burning smell. I reached out for a quote via Yelp and received a response right away and had someone scheduled to come out within the week.
Chris and Steve arrived on time and were extremely knowledgable and professional. They wore masks during their entire visit, were respectful of our apartment, and got along well with our dog. They had no issues getting into our dryer and cleaning out all of the lint that had built up over the last 10 or so years. The before and after photos attached tell the story.

My heater stopped working and of course I waited until winter to fix it! I looked up a few HVAC places and Galaxy were quick to respond and had the best rate and time range for the visit. We needed heat ASAP! Eddie came by and was absolutely fantastic. He diagnosed the issue, explained it, and (once approved) fixed it quickly. ALL this took less than half an hour. Our LG washer was starting to act up. They were quick and responsive to schedule an appointment. The technician spent about an hour and a half investigating the issue. The exact cause couldn't be determined because, of course it never happens on demand, but he tried different adjustments and replaced a part. Unfortunately, it was just our washer's time. Galaxy refunded the labor and part cost (but kept the diagnostic fee which is fair) because the washer needed to be replaced. Overall, very happy with the experience from start to finish.
We had been working with a company that said we needed new equipment and that it would cost us $850 to fix a drainage issue with our forced air heater. We had a feeling they were trying to take advantage of us, so we contacted Galaxy. They came within the week and resolved the issue for less than $300 and without ordering expensive new parts. Definitely recommend them, even if its just for a second opinion.
So our HVAC system was not working. Uggg, this is the stuff of nightmares. Who knows how long and how much this is going to cost once you get someone to come take a look.
Our usual guy has moved on so I dived into Yelp and came up with Galaxy. based on the strength of their reviews I gave them a call.
The staff was friendly and helpful. They let me switch an appointment time quickly and sent out helpful text reminders. I was given a 2 hour window and waited. Once Sam arrived again he was friendly and personable. He was quickly able to diagnosis the problem, fix it, and have us back to cool air in no time. He was clean and neat, He did not leave a mess and the cost was well within reason for the services provided.
Thanks to Galaxy and Yelp we now have a new go to for our infrequent appliance repair needs
Eddie came by and made my old furnace work while we were waiting for a part to arrive.

Had an issue with my Samsung refrigerator, the freezer section temperature kept cycling through from 0 to -8 degrees. Called numerous appliance repair places and decided to go with Galaxy based on their reviews on Yelp! and Nextdoor.
Called up to let them know my issue and the lady on the other line took my information and let me know that there is a diagnostic fee, but it will be applied to any services that are done. Was able to get a time for a technician to come out pretty quickly.
Two days prior to the appointment, I received a text message reminder of the appointment. The morning of the appointment, I received a text message reminder of the appointment. About 20 minutes into the service window, I received a text from the technician, saying he is on his way. Very good communications!!
Ratmir arrived and started assessing the problem. After basically taking apart the entire refrigerator, he discovered lots of ice buildup on the condenser coil, in addition, it wouldn't hurt to do a full on cleaning, maintenance of the entire unit. He showed me what needed to be done if I wanted to do it myself or we could have him do it. Well....since he was out here and I didn't have the time to do everything he showed me and most likely all the food would have spoiled and become defrosted, I decided to have Ratmir perform the service. Ratmir completed the job in less than an hour. He was very efficient and thorough in his work. He was showing me what he was doing, why he was doing it and answered any questions I had. The freezer is now working properly and the entire unit on the outside (and inside) is nice and clean.
Would definitely recommend Ratmir and Galaxy Appliance for your appliance repair needs.

I reached out to Galaxy HVAC a few months ago to get some help with my refrigerator. This was after spending several hours on the phone with Samsung customer service only for them to quote me 300$ to get my ice maker issue diagnosed. They werent even sure about repairs. They were going to have me wait up to two weeks to get a technician out as well.
Galaxy HVAC turned around my request by the next day. They had Sam sent out and quoted me like 80$ for the diagnostic. I felt that Sam was very reliable. He was able to very clearly communicate his diagnostic procedure and walked me through what he thought some of the problems could be. After testing several parts of the ice maker individually, Sam quickly diagnoses that there wasnt anything particularly wrong with the ice make and found that the problem was actually with the Freezer.
Ultimately the freezer had covered up the tunnel where cold water is blown to freeze the water into ice. Sam took a steamer to it and got it cleared up without any mess or trouble. It was all done in under an hour or so and I was up and running with ice again by the next day.
I will be using this service again when I have issues with my appliances.

Robert has helped us with our HVAC system since we moved into our home last year.
We initially chose to go with Galaxy Appliance because they were extremely responsive and reliable.
When our HVAC system suddenly stopped working after the initial fix, they didn't hesitate to come back out to make sure any issues were resolved even when it was extremely busy with the heat wave.
We'll definitely use them as our go-to for HVAC.
I think Robert definitely needs a raise!
Galaxy helped with my AC installation and I'm more than happy with the end result. It's a lot more quieter than the portable we were using while waiting for HOA to approve this project. Ron was easy to communicate with and even took my call after hours to answer questions. They quoted 3-4 days and got the job done in under 2! It was overwhelming initially shopping different HVAC contractors and I'm happy I chose Galaxy!

I highly recommend Eddie at Galaxy Heating - he expertly replaced my heater. I have an extremely difficult landlord and management company, and Eddie did a great job getting all the parts ordered and installed. It was getting pretty cold in my apartment and he knew that - he constantly checked in with me to let me know the progress and got everything done perfectly.
I hired this company to fix AC unit leak that was caused by a different provider's faulty installation. It was easy to set up a diagnostics appt and Ivan was very professional in diagnostics and repair. They provided photos and description of before and after. Definitely recommend!
On March 13, I called for someone to repair my oven which was not heating up. The heating element was replaced. I paid over $300.00. Verbally I was told how much the service amount and parts separately. I paid by debit card (which cleared almost immediately) but was not issued a receipt. I was told that the receipt was going to be emailed to me.
I waited for three/ four days for the receipt should be sent. When I was not receiving it, I called the company. I was told that for them to send me a receipt, I needed to pay for processing fee. 1. Are they not supposed to be issuing receipts automatically, especially there is. a warranty to the parts. Do they not need to have these receipts to report their income to the IRS or business bureau?
i would have used them again in the future but it is just wrong that I have to pay for them to issue me a receipt.

Galaxy Heating etc. came out to repair my Samsung dryer. The technician was prompt and knowledgeable. He researched the problem and ordered the correct parts. The dryer is now in good working order. I would highly recommend their services.
I am very disappointed with this company. I asked for someone to repair a leak in my fridge and they missed the appointment entirely. I had to reschedule, and the problem was fixed. But eventually the same problem returned a month later and they wanted to charge me for another visit. I agreed if this cost was going to service repair. I scheduled another time for them and they again completely missed the window. When I called to ask where the technician was, they could not get a hold of him. They said they would know in an hour if he could come or if they need to reschedule. I can't wait around all day for someone and with no communication about when he will show up! Terrible customer service. I do not recommend this company.

I just heard the lovely sound of ice cubes dropping inside my freezer. Robert did a great job fixing my ice maker. Never realized what a luxury an automatic ice maker is until it broke. I have switched to Galaxy for all my repair needs in the future. Oh and he was all good with my dogs. Winning!
Paul came out and fixed our LG front load washer. It was a difficult job to clean out the pump drain and his experience allowed him to clear it the fastest way which kept our bill low. Paul also reduced the bill because he gave us a senior discount. I am very happy.
Aaron is great technician! A/C system went out recently and he fixed it in a quick manner, got all the parts I needed and now my A/C system works perfectly. He has great knowledge and know exactly what he is doing. He is very patient and takes his time to explain the process and answer all the questions that I had. I would recommend him to my family and friends.
UPDATE: Galaxy Heating and Air Conditioning has changed management and Eddie has moved mountains to make things right. They have new management and techs now. Unfortunately my washing machine is not worth repairing and I'll need to purchase a new one. Eddie assured me that ordering a used control panel on such an old machine was an expensive risk and although he was willing to search for the parts, I decided it was not worth it and will purchase new. Well, all was not lost. My husband let Eddie know that our ice machine was not working and he is fixing it for free (labor + parts). Honestly I was VERY hesitant to give this place another chance, but I'm so glad I did. I hope the new management succeeds this time around :)

This is the second appliance we've had Galaxy come out and repair so that makes up repeat customers. The technician was prompt and professional but alas the 22 year old washer was too expensive to be fixed. He gave us some recommendations for new ones and was on his way. We now have a new washer and hope it lasts 22 years but if it breaks down we know who to call.
Galaxy came out and quickly and efficiently diagnosed our washer problem. Very fast service and they advised that it would cost more to repair the washer than fix it. I appreciate the honesty!

After yesterday's heat of 112 degrees, i woke up this morning to find the air conditioner was not cooling the air. I searched repair places and decided on Galaxy Heating and Cooling-close by and excellent reviews. The receptionist was polite and efficient and scheduled an appt betw 4 and six. About 3:00 i got a text that Eddie was on his way. Eddie investigated the unit, determined it needed a new capacitor but since my unit is so old, he didnt have the right size in his truck. Without hesitation, he said he would go get the right one. Within half an hour Eddie was back, replaced the part and turned on the A/C. I couldnt have asked for better service or a nicer person to work with
Very responsive service! Our 6 month Whirlpool Dryer would not power on. Called Galaxy Services and they were able to get a technician at my house the same day. My technician Paul was polite and helpful. After inspecting the dryer, testing the electrical outlet, and resetting the circuit breaker he was able to get the dryer up and running. He ran a test cycle on the dryer to confirm nothing was tripping the circuit breaker anymore and then inspected the dryer further. Will definitely use their services again in the future.
Recently my ice maker stopped making ice. Galaxy was very responsive and we scheduled an appointment. They sent a reminder before the the appointment.
Paul came out for the service call with a mask and booties on. Prior to the schedule time he sent me a text that he's on the way and was always prompt!
Paul thoroughly explained what is wrong and the parts needed. He gave me an estimate of the cost of the parts, he also suggested that I replace the inexpensive ice tray at this time that usually goes bad to avoid another service call.
I am very please with the service Paul and Galaxy provided. I will definitely call them in the future if I need further service
We needed to have our Sharp drawer microwave repaired as it had stopped heating food and was making a loud buzzing noise. I contacted a few companies and unfortunately not many works with the type of microwave that we had. We also didn't want to spend money to replace it unless we really had to because it would've cost us at least 1k.
Well fortunately for us, Galaxy Appliance was able to do the repair and we are so happy they were able to fix it for us. When I first contacted them with our issue, Ron reached out to us promptly to schedule an appointment. Robert showed up on time for our appointment and he was professional, courteous, and knew what he was doing. A part had to be ordered and Robert came back at a later date to install the part. And thanks to him, we now have our drawer microwave working again and for a fraction of the cost of having to buy a new one.

I had my dryer up and running in 8/24. This tech came after hours so I could have my dryer. I wish I could remember his name. It's not on the invoice. He had an accent. He is great.

After about a 10 minute review he suggested we buy a new one as the clutch was out but we would get an email from his office for repair costs. $79.00 for the diagnostic and the email came back stating repair not recommended as unit not repairable. I have not had good luck with repair services in the past. This changed with Galaxy. My refrigerator wasn't working right, so, I made an appointment to have a technician come out to give me an estimate. Paul came out and I was completely at ease. He wore gloves, booties and a mask. He was very respectful of my home and everything in it. He said he knew immediately what my problem was. It needed a new control board. However, Kitchen Aid no longer made the part and they would need to rebuild the board with new parts. I was a little taken back by this and Paul told me to think about it and maybe shop for a new refrigerator. After shopping and contacting Kitchen Aid, I decided to go ahead with the repair. Kitchen Aid told me that this was a common solution and to proceed with the repair because I could not replace the quality refrigerator I already had. I called Paul and told him to proceed. They had the parts immediately and came out to my house. Paul repaired the control board in front of me. He replaced it. He also checked everything on the refrigerator and thoroughly cleaned everything. The estimate was right on and explained perfectly for me. Do not hesitate to call Galaxy for all your needs. They are excellent, honest and thorough. Paul was absolutely the best. I would recommend him with no hesitation. I received excellent value for the money I spent on an excellent job well done.

My friend's dryer wasn't working for 2 years. So basically she had been hanging her clothes to dry (like an old widow) the entire time, lol. I offered to buy her a new one but there wasn't any room. I figured the dryer she had was lost forever.
Enter Slava, who texted me to confirm when I made the appointment a week ago and then again when he was 15 minutes away. He came as promised, within the 2 hour time window we agreed upon.
It took him just 15 minutes to diagnose the problem and 30 minutes to fix it!!! I know it's different for every job but I was steeling myself for an hour of waiting. I didn't need to.
He explained clearly what was wrong with the exhaust and pointed out where someone else had removed the fuse (probably 2 years ago.) He also gave me some tips on how to maintain it and what's more is that he stayed for a while until I knew how to work it correctly. He didn't make me feel rushed at all. He also tolerated my nosy dog , haha.
Slava and Galaxy remind me of those handy friends you knew in college that could fix anything. They come off as friendly and knowledgeable, but--unlike the college dudes--they are totally professional. I'll be hitting them up again if anything else breaks around here.

Our GE refrigerator stopped cooling. GE didn't have any service appointments for two weeks, Dmitri from Galaxy was able to check it the next day and find the problem. Service was friendly and professional. I would recommend them.
It's true you don't realize what you have until it's gone...my LG washer failed to drain on it's 7th year. Prior to calling Galaxy, I had another technician come out and look at it. He spent about an hour on it and gracefully bowed out. This is when I called Galaxy and they sent Chris. He took my washer apart and really tested every little aspect. Didn't get it fixed the first day, only because we had to order a new control panel but Chris was nice enough to make my problem as if it were his.
Updates via text message and instant email receipt were nice options too.
This company performed wire insulation for my hvac system.I am very happy with level of communication, performance and quality of work. I highly recommend.
The team over at Galaxy are exceptional. I have an induction stove that a lot of other appliance repair places won't even touch. On top of that, a few other shops scheduled appointments and then either ghosted me or canceled the appointment an hour before they were set to arrive. Galaxy was super attentive and even confirmed the appointment via SMS a couple times which was great.
Robert came by and helped me diagnose the issue. He was super helpful and gave me some great suggestions that will save me a bunch of money. I would definitely recommend Galaxy.

They responded quickly and came same day. The repairman, whose name, I unfortunately have forgotten, was courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. It was such a simple repair, he even told me how I can do it myself in the future and made suggestions as to reliable washer and dryer replacements he would recommend when I told him how much I dislike my current set.
I scheduled my appointment a few days ago. Vlad was originally just supposed to provide an estimate to repair the heater, but was able to fix it the same day! He replaced some parts of the heater to make sure it runs well and was finished in a few hours.
Don't hesitate to hire these guys! Vlad was polite, texted us 30 min before he arrived and came exactly on time.

After several bad appliance repair companies my expectations were pretty low. However, I can report that Galaxy successfully fixed our fridge and did what they said they were going to do when they said they would do it. These days that's a five star review.
Technician named Sam from Kazakhstan? He was very professional and in no time replaced a bad capacitor and the HVAC fan kicked in and now have ventilation. Will call again to this outfit for all my HVAC needs in the future.

A few hours after posting this review the owner calls me and apologizes for the lousy work his team did and says we will get a refund check in a week or so. Two days later an envelope arrived in the mail with a formal apology and 2 checks- 1 for the money we paid them and 1 for the $250 we paid for the emergency plumber. So wanted to update this review.
After sending a quote request to several places near me via Yelp, Swift Appliance was one of the promptest in responding and keeping an open dialogue without any pressure. They also have one of the more straightforward and more reasonably priced approaches to diagnostics: $79 to perform a diagnostic and then they figure out what else needs to get fixed after.
I set up an appointment and Aaron, my technician, was very communicative, letting me know in advance and making sure I was good with his ETA. He was very helpful, knowledgeable, and thorough with his work and even went the extra step to clean the dishwasher afterwards with his SS cleaner to give it a nice sheen/finish! He made sure to keep me informed of the entire process as he was fixing things and went above and beyond to make sure that the appliance was working.

I have to update this review. Galaxy has new ownership and reached out to me for a second chance. Eddie, one of the owners, called me acknowledged the issues and asked for a second chance to provide excellent customer service. He said we wasted your time and now want to give that back to you by offering our time to provide a service call at no cost. I said thanks anyway, I didn't have any appliance or HVAC issues and that I would keep the number--kind thinking I would probably lose the number before I needed any appliance or HVAC help. Flashforward a week--my Thermador stove is clicking and then suddenly it just stops working.... I called Eddie. He walked me through some possibilities on the phone and figured out that the issue was likely the electrical outlet and not the appliance. He then arranged to come out the same day, SUNDAY, to confirm. Let me make a long story short. This guy knows what he is doing, figured out the electrical issue and corrected it and also the issue with the range. He was in our place about 30 minutes and I have a working stove, a safety lesson, and a replacement part on the way. Eddie turned a tough but fair critic (me) into an enthusiastic recommender. I have only great things to say about Galaxy Appliance Repair! Our fridge broke and was flooding water all over our hardwood floors on Memorial Day. Not only did Galaxy respond quickly but showed up on time, gave me a fair price and, most importantly, fixed the problem quickly! I'm sooooo grateful to them for helping me when I REALLY needed it!
This company does have an amazing manager in charge he obviously knew we were unhappy with our service gave us a refund and offered to come out and have our washer diagnosed free of charge... although i did at first have a bad experience i would actually use this company again knowing they have someone like this in charge.

Any time you have to order a service call for a major appliance in your house, you basically have to grit your teeth and prepare for the worst. I was pleasantly surprised with the service and quality of work from Swift!
Paul, our repair technician was very qualified. He is quiet, contemplative and respectful. He really took his time to take our washing machine apart carefully and diagnose the situation.
He was able to determine the cause of the problem: Golf tees and coins in the pump (I'll blame it on my sons). He also worked on our dryer, carefully cleaning it and lubricating it to make it quiet and more efficient.
Fast response rate and good quality. I highly recommend these guys.
I reached out to Galaxy via Yelp, and received a call and an email right away. They checked the warranty on their earlier work and came and fixed the problem before the warranty expired. Great service!
Galaxy is the most responsive service we quoted. They scheduled the service next day. Jason is very friendly, quickly figured out the issues. It is finally working again after the parts are replaced. We really appreciate the efficient service.

I reached out about 3 days ago to multiple companies in the area requesting a quote for how much they would charge to come take a look at our fridge that hasn't been working after we swapped out the filter with a brand new one (put a pin in that).
All of the companies returned a message saying basically Here's how much it is to diagnose it, and we'll wave it if you do the repair. When would you like to schedule?
Only one company replied back and said Try another filter, but if that doesn't work, here's our diagnostic fee...etc.. Galaxy just won over our business for life. Any other company could have just come out, said what the problem was and replaced and charged us god knows what. Rob (owner) at Galaxy didn't try to pull the wool over our eyes.
So, I did what he suggested, ordered new filters and plugged a brand new one in after the old new one and boom. Water came out like a jet. Amazing.
He was honest and fast. If we ever have another problem, I won't hesitate to Galaxy for my next repair.

I had them out to do a fix on my freezer. Part of the problem was fixed. They promised to get back to me with an estimate to fix the other part. That estimate never came. I called to follow up and they promised they'd find out what's going on and get back to me. Never happened. I called again and they explained that they tech was out and they'd let me know by the following Tuesday. That was a month ago. Nothing.

My dryer broke earlier this morning (Sunday), and I sent in a request to Galaxy Appliance. Someone called me within 30 minutes, give me the price ($79), and set up an appointment for the same day.
Ratmir (the technician) contacted me 45 minutes before the appointment and showed up a few minutes early. He was extremely polite, thoughtful (Face Mask on, since we are in the middle of the Corona Virus; put on the booties; and was not bothered by the kittens being curious), and professional (told me the what was broken and how much it would cost; in addition while he had the dryer open he checked at other items that usually break).
Outstanding service!!!

Friendly - Ivan and his assistant - smiles, respectful and easy to welcome into my home.
Trouble shooting is solid. Found my issues and offered several options to fix - order parts with them under warranty, save money and order off internet - they don't warrant (but warrant their work), do nothing and have no ice (in my case).
Billing/payment is all done on-the-spot with a mobile phone and the invoice is sent electronically. I had a question about the invoice and office guy was insanely responsive (I submitted an email and he called within moments and explained my question.)
Even though I was bleeding money due to multiple issues/visits on my $9k built-in KitchenAid ice chest, Ivan made it seem painless. He did a great job walking me through everything, providing options and fixing the BEAST!
So, tonight...my 'fridge is not leaking water, it's making ice and the coils are clean. I hope I never have to call Swift Appliance Repair Again, but home-ownership is a B!TCH (and an expensive one at that) and I'll sleep well knowing I can count on these guys to do me a solid and fix my gear.

I had an issue with my freezer and Vince came out to check it out. Through the diagnosing of the issue we believe that the door may have been left ajar because all components were functioning properly.
Instead of trying to sell me on a unnecessary replacement part, Vince told me to wait until tomorrow and confirm if everything was ok as-is.
Very stand up guy and I appreciated hearing a truthful diagnosis.
I highly recommend Galaxy... the repair guy came, communicated well and clearly, fixed my fridge on the spot and re-arranged the shelves in my fridge in a much more efficient way.

I cannot recommend this company enough. My parents own a store and own a commercial freezer that has been acting up and they have been amazing at fixing this tricky freezer. The initial fix was done by a shady person that was referred to us and my dad wasn't satisfied nor trusted this guy so I found Galaxy appliance and repair through Yelp and they did not disappoint. Even at the last minutes, they were flexible to come out and fix the freezer when it was acting up.
Great people, amazing service and fixed the issue that other companies couldn't!!

I would give Galaxy 6 stars if I could.
Galaxy came out to troubleshoot the dryer, dishwasher and water heater at a rental unit. First of all, it was nice to find a repair service who can do all three. All the other ones I asked couldn't do the water heater, but Galaxy has the expertise to do it too. After their diagnosis, The water heater and dishwasher had to be replaced, but they said they could repair the dryer. I went ahead with having them do the dryer repair and water heater replacement (the dishwasher replacement wasn't done by them since it just needed to be installed by wherever you get it from). After the dryer was repaired, my tenant shared that it was still not drying. Galaxy was quick to come back out for a follow up visit. After that visit, they told me that they have done all they could go, and it's probably best to replace the dryer. My first thought was why didn't you guys tell me that in the first place? Now I have spend a few hundred dollars on repairs only to have to pay more for replacement Then without prompting, Galaxy offered to reimburse me for the repair. My mood immediately turned around, and I told them that they have just earned my continued business and recommendation to others. The check arrived a few days later in the mail. One more thing to add is that I really like their invoice and payment process. It's all electronic, and it was really easy for me to pay without having to be there or arrange to drop off payment to my tenant ahead of time. I will definitely do business with them again.
Paul was very good in diagnosing our dishwasher. He was able to figure out what's wrong and got it to work the same day (no repairs needed). Very professional too!

Our freezer was leaking water and we couldn't figure it out. I wrote Galaxy Appliance Repair here on yelp and they responded quickly and we moved forward with an appointment. Ivan (the technician) arrived on time and promptly got to work. He fixed the issue and also showed me how he did it, in case the fridge (which was old) acted up again. Great service. He also cleaned up after his work and put the freezer back together. Thanks Ivan!

The fuse on the board was blown and he tried soldering on a new one to potentially save us the cost/time of getting a new board. New fuse didn't work but he saw that the processor was fried so ordered and installed the replacement board which did the trick.
He even hooked up the water to the ice maker we never got around to connecting for two years!

I contacted Galaxy Appliance due to a leaky washing machine. They were over the next day, within the 2hr window. Paul, the service technician, was considerate and texted when he was on his way.
Paul was professional and courteous. It's funny to mention that in a review because one would think those are normal human traits, but after having some projects done at our home, I've learned being considerate is optional for some.
Paul evaluated the issue, explained the process and provided a reasonable estimate. It was quite a bit higher than I anticipated for a 10yr old washer, and I appreciated that Paul wasn't pushy or sale-sy. He was straight up, and said Take your time and think it over. No problem.
Paul was knowledgeable and patient, which are key traits I value when I'm the noob in the room. Go to Galaxy, they're far out!
Quick response, same day appointment. Technician was knowledgeable. When parts came in he was super fast with installation.

We live in a rental and the dryer died around Thanksgiving, only a few months after moving in. We reached out to the landlord and she gave us an amount we could go up to have it repaired. If it was going to be above this amount, she wanted to look into ordering a new dryer.
We made the appointment and the repair man showed up on time. Before he started any work my husband let him know we were renters and our landlord gave us a number we could go up to, not telling him the amount. The repair man looked at the dryer and realized it was the motor. The cost would be more than what we were approved for so we tried to call our landlord without success. The repair man seemed annoyed he couldn't finish the job right then. When he put the piece covering the front of the dryer back it wasn't screwed in all the way and stuck out.
Our landlord decided to move forward with replacing the motor, so we reached back out to Ron at Galaxy who ordered the part and said we could have it replaced within the same week. My husband worked from home so we could get it fixed, the repair man was a little early which was fine and he repaired it fairly quick from what I heard. The front part of the dryer still sticks out but at least now we have a working dryer.
I would've given more stars if the first repair man had been understanding and friendly about the situation. He didn't have a motor when he arrived at our house so I'm not sure why he became annoyed when we said we had to wait to hear back from our landlord. Ron who answered the Yelp request was friendly and was quick to get the part ordered for us.
I used the self-clean function on our 5 year old KitchenAid oven and presto - no more power and the over door locked. I did a bit of research and concluded that the control unit had probably been damaged by the self-clean operation (thanks KitchenAid!). I contacted Galaxy for an appointment. Here are the highlights:
1. The owner, Rob B., contacted me immediately to schedule an appointment. He had an appointment at the end of the day. Then the technician contacted me and said that he actually could get to my home four hours earlier - and he did!
2. The owner, Rob B., gave me an estimate for the likely repair before the technician arrived. When I told him the quote on the control unit price was a little high, he gave me the link to the parts distributor so I could verify the price he quoted.
3. When the technician arrived, he diagnosed the problem but warned me - he could replace the control unit, but the oven had been badly damaged from the self clean operation and they couldn't guarantee that other parts weren't also damaged. Rather than sell me an expensive part and repair, he warned me that I might be going down a money pit. Replacing the control unit was already almost halfway to a new (non-KitchenAid) oven.
Rob and Galaxy did exactly what I wanted - they responded promptly, came to my home promptly, and gave me the information that I needed to make the best decision for my family. I won't hesitate to contact them again if I have another issue with an appliance.

Enclosed is a check for $200 for installing a circuit board.
Two weeks ago you sent a man to diagnose our oven. We paid him $79 for his diagnostic charge that our oven circuit board was burned out.
Then you sent me a quote on 12-14-19 for $400 to install the board. I called your office twice about the high cost of installing a circuit board. I was told by two people that it was a two-person job and the board was hard to get at and the oven was heavy. So, I believed them and agreed to have you install it. You asked me to pay in advance $155 for a circuit board, which I did.
Today two men arrived at my house and spent 15 minutes installing the board. Well, one person installed it and the other lean against my counter. I kept watching for them to pull out my oven with the trolley that they brought along. The trolley was never used. The job took nothing more than unscrewing a few screws, sliding out a circuit board and plugging in a new board.
When the men asked for $400 dollars, I said that this was not the job I was quoted for. It only took one man 15 minutes to accomplish. After a while I told them I would pay them $200 for their work. They said no thanks and started to leave. I said You don't want this check for $200? They said, No, we don't want anything.
I don't understand this whole arrangement. But I know I owe you something. And I think $200 for 15 minutes of work and travel time should be more than fair.

First employee came out, diagnosed the dead fridge thermostat, waived the diagnostic fee to be applied towards the repair cost, and the company ordered the part. Second employee came out a week later and completed the repair onsite. Smooth and safe procedure, and this refrigerator was kept out of the landfill. Satisfied!
I choose Galaxy Appliance Repair based off the reviews. Rob the technician came out to my rental and interacted with the tenant. He would not give the details to my tenant but said that he would contact me, which he never did. I contacted the office same day to make payment and get the details of the visit. The office staff said that they would leave him a message to contact me. He never returned my call. Then my tenant reported that the leak came back, so I left a message over the weekend but still no call by Tuesday. When I called on Tuesday, the office said their next available would be over a week later. I am not sure I could recommend this company. Basic professional courtesy was not extended to me. Poor communication and not a good way to build a business relationship.
They were able to give us an appointment the next day for a rental property. Easy to communicate through Yelp and were extremely responsive. The repair person showed up on time and fixed the problem. (Refrigerator wasn't cooling properly) - it was pricey, but not as much as half a new fridge. They made it easy to pay - no fuss, no muss. Thank you!

We were having problems with our dishwasher. Max from the team came over give us a reasonable estimate and fixed the dishwasher quickly. We were happy with the result and I would use them again.
Galaxy was able to fix my washing machine for a reasonable price, after determining that it was a sensor, and not the board, that was keeping it from spinning. I also found Galaxy to be responsive and flexible about scheduling. I would definitely recommend them for appliance repair.

Great Service from beginning to end! We needed ductless air conditioner, heat pump combo units installed in my home and the units were already purchased from a contractor that had to back out of the work. Galaxy was great from the onsite visit to work on units to follow up to ensure everything went well. Their communication put me as ease and I knew they were competent on the work. We pulled permits for the work and our inspector was impressed with the installation. Definitely recommend them! Reasonable price and superb customer service.
I needed a fix for the icemaker as it didn't make ice.
They sent a person who came a few times. Each time he claimed it would work and ice would start producing the next day. But it never did.
Last time he actually broke the water system as well. Now the neither ice nor water works. This guy lied to the warranty company telling that he fixed it, and gave us different stories.
The Select Home warranty company is also fraudulent as they never followed up or responded timely.
The whole episode took three months. And I have now both icemaker and water out of order.

The appointment was followed up by texts and Vlad gave me a warning before his arrival. He wore a mask and used boot coverings so that the home was kept clean and the repair was efficient. He had all necessary tools and understood how to read an electric diagram and fix a switch problem that I was unable to have repaired. Billing was reasonable, straightforward and easy by credit card and I am just happy with the whole experience and would use Galaxy Appliance for all my appliance and HVAC repairs. Five stars.

Update: ~12min after posting this review, despite it being after hours a manager from Galaxy reached out to me to see about correcting the issue and has now scheduled a follow-up with me for tomorrow. Upping the status to 3 stars for the response. Will update this review as things develop.

I had turned my heater off for the summer and in turning it back on the pilot refused to stay lit. So off to yelp I go, searching for a heating specialist. Enter Galaxy.
The experience started out well: Galaxy was responsive to my quote request and flexible with timing. Sadly, it got worse.
I repaired the heater by replacing the thermocouple and now it would stay lit, but the heater would not respond to the thermostat. I called Galaxy and asked if that was still something they would work on (I dunno, it might be an electrical thing?); they said yes.
The technician comes in (45 min late) and tinkers with the heater and ends up breaking the valve. No apology. No attempt to fix it. He just flat out breaks the darn thing, tells me it's too old (I just had the valve replaced in 2018) and then tells me he'll have the office call me with a quote. I wait all day and no call comes in from Galaxy.
Do not use these people. They will break your stuff. Now instead of a heater that I have to adjust at the valve, I have a broken hulk of metal. Shame on you Galaxy.

Blown away! We had a little issue of communication and their management team did an amazing job of handling it and creating a great customer experience!
Needed a cost estimate in repairing a Bosch appliance. The problem was pretty specific, but they were the only ones to give an approx cost based on model, likely parts and a labor.
Everyone else said they couldn't help unless their tech attended for $65-$70.
Finding out our stove was already discontinued and parts difficult, we'll replace it.
Refreshing to find this level of service and honesty these days.
We had a leaking dishwasher issue (not an emergency - but annoying) and the good folks at Galaxy responded immediately and had us scheduled for an appointment within two days. Steve showed up on time, and diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. He also took the time to explain the fix to me so I could try to DIY fix it if it ever happens again. Thank you Steve!
Our older KitchenAid dishwasher that came with our house went dead one evening, so I messaged Galaxy Appliance Repair to see if they could help. They responded promptly in the morning and by noon, Ratmir was on site taking a look at the problem. Despite the fact that the previous owners apparently built the cabinet facade over the dishwasher, making it impossible to remove without damaging the wood, Ratmir was able to diagnose and resolve the problem: a busted thermal fuse.
Overall, it was quick, easy and a great experience !
Paul came out to evaluate my range which wasn't working. He was friendly and polite and after researching the problem, he recommended getting a new range. I would call them again.

Awesome service. Fridge went out on a Sunday, and it was up and running that afternoon.
My fridge broke down during the heat wave. I called Galaxy Appliance Repair around 10am and John showed up at my door a little over 2 hours later (I had called about 10 other repair shops before and none of them could see me before next week). 45 minutes later my fridge was back on. John was honest in his diagnostic and about what he could and couldn't do (my LG fridge is a piece of sh!t so there's only so much you can do) and I thank him for that. Also the person I spoke to on the phone when I made the initial call was very polite, clear and to the point.

My fridge almost stopped cooling on one of the hottest days of this year (temp 105). I called Galaxy because their rating was pretty high. They did respond very quickly and Andy, from Galaxy repair, showed up they promptly on the time. He was very courteous and had a mask on.
However after looking at my refrigerator, LG, he said He knew what the problem is but he proceey to take a look at it. He pulled the fridge, looked at back and pointed out that we had not cleaned the cooling fins for quite some time and they take $200 to do it. I was ok to do that but then he said my compressor was not workig. And my compressor needs to be replaced which would cost me $1100 dollars. I decided to go ahead with them at first but I was lucky that one of my aquantances was passing by my house who knew a little bit about the fridge. So, he stopped by, looked at the fridge again. He confirmed that the compressor was actually working and all it needed was a little cleanup. He proceeded to clean the back of the fridge - the fins. Fridge started working fine after that.
So I am very disappointed by the recommendation that was provided by Andy from Galaxy repair because either he was not competent to understand that the compressor was working or he was giving me a false recommendation to change the compressor and wanted to make more money even when I didn't have the problem. In fact, I feel cheated and lied about the diagnostic service they provided me for $79 because it was inaccurate and was meant to upsell. They should treat their customers better who rely on honest and competent service
So I definitely would not recommend any of my friends or family with Galaxy service repairs based on my experience.

After moving into our house we discovered that the exhaust to our dryer was disconnected and the seal/boot on our front-loading washer needed to be replaced. We decided to go with Galaxy Appliance Repair as they were the most responsive and could come out the quickest. Robert came to our house and immediately was able to fix the issue with the dryer, which required him to repair a custom exhaust duct and address the issues with our washer. After a part was ordered, he returned a few days later to finish the job. He communicated with us the whole time about what he was doing and what was needed. He even took the time to show us how to set up the custom settings on our machines. We would absolutely contact Galaxy again for any future needs.

Great repair, prompt, they answered the phone and I had same day service. Their prices and availability were much better than going through the manufacturer.
My repair person came early, communicated well, had the parts available and was in an out in two hours. I would absolutely recommend galaxy appliance repair again.
Two appliances in my tenants' unit needed service. I really appreciated that Galaxy responded quickly to my inquiry and were able to come out within 2 days. The repair person, Robert, texted when he was on his way and showed up promptly. He worked quickly and efficiently and checked everything for leaks & other potential problems. He recommended a repair and immediately found the part online and emailed me an estimate, and then gave us advice for using the appliance in the meantime.

I called 4 different repair places in Oakland before Galaxy, all said they didn't repair my type of unit. I have a standalone freezer and refrigerator (two separate units). Galaxy repaired no problem for a great price.
Galaxy Appliance really helped us this week on our path to a new, working refrigerator. They came to fix a part, that ended up not solving our problem, then recommended we install a new unit, since all the replacement parts were discontinued by the manufacturer (the fridge was 10+ years old). Arely helped today talk to my home warranty agent to work on a replacement.

Good service, our washing machine was broken and the expert checked the status and it went back to normal status again
Our air conditioner stopped working.
I paid $79 for a diagnostic that was very prompt (same day).
The guy told my husband $350 to install a capacitor.
Online the capacitor costs $20 and takes 20 min max to install.
$250 if we bought the part. That's $750/hour! Exorbitant charges. Rediculous.
One star for promptness, one star for courteousness.
I refuse to change my review because you want to return thediagnostic fee.
I still stand by my opinion. Please remember it is in those heat waves that people are most desperate and frequently taken advantage of.
They came out the day after I called, found the problem with my oven, ordered the part, were back five days later when the part had been received, and the oven is working fine once again. The repairman was on time both days, was friendly, and did the work quickly. Their prices were standard. They were basically everything you want when needing an appliance repairman.
Our air conditioning and Furnace recently went out...Both systems at the same time. I received several quotes and found Galaxy Appliance & HVAC Repair to be very informative, professional, and friendly. Slava and Jack came and was able to write up the quote on the spot. There was one company that was a little bit lower so I ran those specs by Galaxy. Fortunately, I did because we found discrepancies in the parts which made it appear lower. We got a great deal with Galaxy and I'm happy with the purchase. I appreciate the timing of this company coming to my home for a quote. I am very detail-oriented so I asked many, many questions and Galaxy answered all of them without showing any impatience. They was responding after work hours so that was very much appreciated. actually saved an appointment for us for the following day for the installation. Thanks goodness they did. The crew that did the install were very professional and courteous. They did a thorough job and made sure they installed one air conditioning unit first in order to get some cool air kicking prior to installing the second unit. The crew was definitely working in the scorching attic and I can only imagine how difficult it was to keep at it all day. They still smiled and worked diligently.

When my fridge stopped working , and when I couldn't wait for the Home Insurance people to send me a service person on time(as I had food in fridge that might have gone bad had I wait waited any longer) , I called Galaxy Appliance . Not only were they able to assign a technician to come visit the same day ( in fact within few hours) , Ratmir - the technician that came was quick to diagnose , quote and give honest opinions and options for us to choose . We were very satisfied and our fridge starting working again after he fixed it ( changed the starter and cleaned coil as well ).
Ratmir also gave good advise on how to maintain it .

I really appreciated Galaxy's service. Although we weren't able to reproduce the error that interrupts my washing machine intermittently, Georgy did a thorough diagnostic for the agreed upon visit price. Better still, when he couldn't find the problem, he offered to come back out for free if the error started happening consistently AND to deduct the original visit fee from any repair work that would need to be done. The washer has been working fine (touch wood!) since his diagnostic.
Georgy was also on time, courteous and followed all COVID protocols. We also appreciated how Galaxy was able to come out within 24hrs of our call. I would definitely use Galaxy again for any appliance repair.
My Samsung fridge has cooling fan cracky sound due to ice. Owner responded my inquiries really quick and the price is reasonable. Company sent someone over the next day and the fridge is fixed within 45 mins. So far me and my wife are very pleased with the fixing and it has 6 months workmanship warranty.

From beginning to end our experience with Galaxy was amazing. We called on Friday as our fridge was acting up and got an appointment for first thing Sunday from 8 am to 10 am. We received email and text confirmations as well as a text when our technician, Ratmir, was on the way. If I could give him 6 stars I would. He was very comprehensive throughout the whole troubleshooting process. He even did things such as clean up the mess from the leak. All in all we were very happy with our experience and will be asking for Ratmir for all our appliance needs!
Terrific experience with Galaxy Appliance. I messaged them late on a Thursday - they had a technician at our place Friday to check out our Washer. He spent two hours evaluating the unit starting with the basics like the drain hose and working to more complex components such as the sensor board. The service fee was incredibly reasonable and much less than having to buy a new unit. Please note that we called Galaxy after we had called someone else earlier - that person spent 5 minutes asking us a few questions, never looked at the unit, and charged $85 to give us a recommendation to buy a new unit. The difference between that place and Galaxy was night and day. Highly recommend the Galaxy Appliance.
So my wall oven stopped heating. I had used Galaxy once before for a basic appliance repair job and since I was satisfied with that work I decided to use them once again for this more technical repair. Ratmir was technician Galaxy sent out. First diagnosis and repair on oven did not solve the problem. Second diagnosis and repair solved the problem.
So why did I rate Galaxy a five. Galaxy was honest.
Galaxy didn't try to make up a reason for first fix not solving a problem (just explained) and also didn't try to charge me for the first job even though they replaced an expensive part and ate the cost. When job was done, I was prepared to argue but didn't even have to discuss issue. The only bill I got was for the second job, and from my research that number was reasonable.
I am big believer that mistakes happen but it is how you deal with them that matters. Galaxy handled it well.
Their communication was better than expected and I was messaged outside of normal business hours. Their service tech was super fast and diagnosed our dishwasher issue in minutes. Once the replacement part arrived they got us in their schedule and had the same tech out. He fixed our issue and left no smudges, debris or any signs of repair. Their email invoicing is easy.
Thoroughly impressed by Swift Appliance Repair. They are our go to appliance company from now on. We have utilized their service twice already and trust me they do not disappoint. Particularly their technicians, Aaron, and Robert.
Just recently, we had a stacked washer dryer that was acting up. The washer wasn't working and the unit was imbedded in a very tight cove as it was difficult to pull out. Aaron and Robert skillfully removed the unit without a scratch. I was particularly impressed as they took their time to meticulously make sure the job was done right. When they discovered a leak behind the unit and found the formation of mold in the carpet underneath, they made the decision to stay later in order to remove the mold; they did this because they were genuinely concerned for our families health, especially my 10 month old sons health. They didn't have to do that! But they did and it's the kind of service you just don't see anymore.
These men are highly skilled and are compassionate for others and that is what makes them different than the rest. We love Swift Appliance Repair! We will continue to tell all that listen about their professionalism and above and beyond commitment to quality of work.
We had an issue with our dishwasher, and they had us schedule an appointment 3 days out. The tech came and fixed the problem on-site, which was great. However, they did not follow our instructions about payment. When we brought up this issue, they were apologetic, and that counts. We will probably give them another shot, knowing that they care about the quality of their customer service.
We had a problem with our 10+ year old Frigidaire clothes washer and I contacted Galaxy. They were professional in their contacting and scheduling. The service person Chris came in, properly masked for the times, and was quick to identify the problem (a clogged drain line) and fixed it on the spot. He was efficient and in and out quickly. The price was reasonable.
One minor issue I had is that when I called to schedule no one was willing to give me a cost estimate e.g. hourly rate, except to tell me that the fee for the diagnostic visit was a certain amount. I found this annoying but it seems like other service providers are just as non transparent when you call to set up the appointment.

My refrigerator was leaking water and I called Swift to take a look. The technician I had is Ratmir, who was very professional, nice, and honest. Highly recommended. The only minor issue I had is that I asked and was told that $10 for $25 Yelp deal can not be used for visit cost ($79) but only for labor.
In any case, I marked them and will call for their service in the future.
Great job! Steve provided super service, was very attentive, fixed the problem quickly and professionally. It's such a pleasure to work with somebody who cares about doing things right and still believes in customer service.
I decided to try this company based on the great reviews and was trying to save some money by avoiding one of their competitors who I have used before and charges a lot more to come out and diagnose problems. In the end bad decision on my part I went back to the other company after all. The Swift technician did not seem that competent in diagnosing my refrigerator problem, hardly even looked at it just told me the problem is either a clogged drain and said he could unclog it for $200 something dollars or I could turn it off for a couple days and if that didnt fix the issue then it needed a new motherboard. So I decided to unclog the drain turns out it never was clogged. i didnt think it was the motherboard so I had another company come out who is more expensive but I have used him before he is super knowledgeable turns out there was a leak in the system and to fix it would have cost as much as buying a new refrigerator so thats what we did. Good thing I didnt waste a bunch of money having Swift install a motherboard.

Changing my rating since the owner contacted me and explained that they do not charge if they misdiagnose a problem and had I called them to return to re look at it they would not have charged me. They refunded me the service call. I appreciate them taking responsibility for the situation. I would consider using them again.

My water heater went out and I called a few companies to take a look the issue. Galaxy answered my call and set up a really quick appointment time during these days. The tech came on time as scheduled and was pretty nice as well. After we had our initial chat he asked me few q's about the problem and he asked me to keep the water running which I though was odd for the issue at hand. How does the pilot light not lighting up need the water to be running? (fine whatever) he was asking me same things over and over again then I realized he did not know anything about water heater let alone diagnose the problem. After me showing him about how to check pilot light, then came quotes about a parts replacement cost, gasket needed to be replaced (maybe a few others as well) that would cost $300 (I'm like in what world would gasket cost 300?) but he said if that doesn't fix the issue I wont be charged (heard that BS before). At the end he mumbled about the visit fee of $79, fine take it and go...Stop wasting my time....
I'm not going to hire a company to replace the entire unit if can't even figure out basics like pilot light.
Stop wasting your time and look elsewhere for Water heater issues...

The owner of the company Ron got back to me and said he would talk to the tech and offered to fix it the next day for free but I've already taken care of the issue yesterday by myself. We had a recent broken washer needing repair service. We have been very pleased with customer service, reliability, and fees. We were able to have service within 2 business days. Service person was Covid compliant, very knowledgeable, and efficient. As it turns out, our washer had major breakage and total repair would be needed. We opted for a new machine and information was provided that helped us make a great selection at a local appliance business. I have let our family members and friends know this is a super company! I would highly recommend this company! My washer was broken and I sent out inquiries to 4 vendors looking for fast assistance. Swift Appliance got back to me within 10 minutes and had the lowest diagnostic fee, even better that they were able to come out that same day in the afternoon.
The technician was very knowledgeable and did his due diligence to assess all aspect to provide solutions. He told me that I could fix the appliance by purchasing new parts, showing the sites and costs, and that the total amount would be better put towards a new one. I love the honesty! He could've had me order parts and pay for additional services but he provided a solution that saved me money in the long run. What great customer service!
During COVID, I decided to find a one-stop for several appliance needs (on a list for months), hoping to be more efficient of everyone's time, health, safety and costs. I found Galaxy Appliance & HVAC Repair on Yelp and selected them because they had good ratings and looked like they covered appliance repairs and HVAC. Out of the 5 items I had, 3 were resolved. Overall, I'm happy with their ability to schedule, communicate and arrive on-schedule for appointments, analyze and identify problems, order parts, and resolve my non-emergency items. And practice health and safety during this COVID-19 period. 5 stars for their skills and ability to resolve issues.
On the cost side, I'm not so thrilled. I had 2 repairs that require parts to be ordered - ok, that's fine. Scheduled a separate appointment to install the 2 parts - which took no more than 15 minutes for both to be installed. Somehow, I did not have an itemized estimate ahead of time. Whoa, each item's labor cost had a $250 labor charge, which I did not see until I got my receipt. That was $500, not including the cost of parts; and for less than 20 minutes to install and get working. I did try to call the office to discuss the labor costs the next day as it really bugged me, but they said they would look into it and call me back. Haven't heard back...
I learned a good lesson here, especially on multi-projects with the same vendor. Ask detailed questions about each item you have to work on and review the itemized cost list before saying ok. I was too trusting and ended up paying 4 digits $$$$ for 3 the items resolved. And, paying for the two assessment fees as well for the other two that were not resolved. Maybe if I only did one repair item, I would not have noticed as much.
I applied this lesson-learned a few days later to my next vendor I had to call after our garbage disposal busted - now, that's an emergency. Two items for the plumber -- discuss upfront before selecting 1) New garbage disposal & installation service, and 2) take a look at a slow drip-drip faucet while here and repair - I asked questions on the phone, including detailed charges before making the appointment -- it all came out under $300 total parts and labor for #1 - and no charge at all for the review of the second item. They have great ratings on Yelp too and very reputable.
Apply my lesson-learned here on how to manage your costs by getting those detailed (not summary or no) estimates for each item. Not all vendors operate the same on their pricing, as I've learned now. I like the plumber model better and will do better job next time to find those that are fair.
The owner responded to my Yelp inquiry in 2 minutes. Wow. He provided all the information, including an estimated range for the costs (so often you're told, we just don't know until we see it, and then you've already paid the initial fee of $79 or $89), next available date, etc. I appreciated that he was willing to provide this information, as I didn't want to spend a lot of money fixing my very old dryer. Based on his information I decided to buy a new dryer instead. Should I need appliance repair in the future, I will definitely check with this company first.
I have to say I am extremely satisfied and impressed with Swift Appliance Repair. I called them yesterday, a live human answered the phone, what a treat and he was friendly. They offered me a same day appointment, which I couldn't accommodate, but I set up an appointment for the next day.
The next day, on time, the guy showed up, we had a brief chat about the problem, he took a look, diagnosed it, fixed it and cleaned up in the span of an hour. I couldn't be more pleased and would recommend these guys to anyone who asks.

Called galaxy they set an appointment for me never showed up or called me i called they were closed sent email person responded saying i was not on schedule dont use this company very very bad company and people they weren't sorry at all
Called these guys up for a faulty Dishwasher. They scheduled me up for the next day. Technician named Sam showed up on time and got to work. Took the unit's front panel apart and worked his way to the issue. An hour later all was back together with a functioning dishwasher.

They fixed my refrigerator's ice maker. It wound up taking a couple of visits since the first attempt didn't take, and they wound up having to replace the thing. Even though the final repair was more expensive, they credited me for what I'd already paid for the initial repair attempt.
They were very responsive to messaging and SMS. The technician was great about letting us know that he was stuck in traffic and when he'd arrive.
Overall, great job even though it took a couple of times. Would definitely call them again for a repair.
Super responsive for initial inquiry and diagnostic scheduling. First technician diagnosed the issue was with our wiring, not the AC unit but was unable to fix given the time and advised us to call back to schedule a second visit. We're not charged since the issue was not fixed. A second technician (Ivan) was able to rewire our thermostat and get everything working again and only charged the service fee since he just replaced our new thermostat with our old one.
Super honest and respectful folks. We had another company (Eco System) come out the day prior and they told us we needed a whole new AC unit.
Great job today by your team! The repair man came into the house masked up and was very professional. He evaluated the issue with my dishwasher and got it fixed very quickly! Super job and it was all covered by the service call fee! I will definitely use your company again if I have any appliance problems.

Overall 4.5/5, I just knocked them just a tad due to the slight damage done to the wall when the repair person pushed back in our fridge. We were having some refrigerator problems, namely the fridge running cool/warm where our milk got bad within a few days upon opening. Upon the first inspection, the repair guy gave us an estimate and how long it would take to get the part in and fix and it was a decent price and I guess much better than buying a new fridge. But, what sort of really made me chose this company was for the fact we were also having dishwasher problems and my mom hasn't run it for about a half year/year, so when we did try and work it, it didn't. His first glance and checked a few things like the electrical socket and next you know, our dishwasher is working again and this was for free! I wasn't here for the actual fridge repair, but my mom did note that he was on time and very quick fix the problem. So overall, I would definitely call them again if I have an appliance that's out of warranty to see if it can be fixed and for how much.

I had a mixed experience with them.
The reason I contacted them is that an object got stuck between my washing machine's drum and the the machine's inner enclosure.
When I called they immediately picked up, were professional, and booked an appointment right away. They informed me of a $79 minimum consultation fee, which seemed reasonable.
The technician who arrived was very professional and nice and he resolved the issue for us.
My issue is that before he even looked at the machine, the technician informed me that because the machine is stacked (dryer over washer) the minimum fee is $225.
By then I had already waited 2 days for the appointment, and with dirty clothes piling up I needed the issue fixed, and he was already right there, so I agreed.
Resolving the issue ended up being really trivial. You just had to pop the machine's front panel and pull the object out. There wasn't even anything to unscrew, you just needed to know where to apply some force to make the panel pop out.
The technician was there for about half an hour, including running the machine to make sure it was working.
Now, I don't presume to tell them what their minimum fee should be for stacked washing machines. That is their consideration and perhaps stacked machines have a greater risk of complications that they don't want to assume for less than $225.
But stacked machines aren't a rarity. They should have asked us if we have a stacked machine when we called for an appointment, not when the technician arrived 2 days later.
The surprise price bump combined with the triviality of the fix left a bit of a sour taste, even though everyone we interacted with was nice and professional, and they really did fix the issue.
Since this was during covid, I bumped my original 3 stars to 4 stars.

I recently used Galaxy to repair our clothes dryer (it had started banging when turned on). They showed up at the end of the time window we were given, but we were the last appt of the day and the repair person was very communicative. I had no problem with him showing up at 7:pm for our 5-7appt. I don't remember the name of person that helped us, but I can't say enough about how truly awesome he was. Super considerate, asked if we wanted him to remove his shoes and later if it was ok to put some tools down on our counter. Was careful with our wood floors, choosing to not pull the dryer out of the cubby it's in, making it harder for him to do his job, I'm sure! Vacuumed every little bit of mess that was made. Seriously, this guy was great. But best of all and the thing that I appreciated even more,... as a single Mom, with no Man in the house, I can't tell you how often we (women in general) have to deal with attitude from the male repair people that come into our homes. It's not even always straight up rudeness. Often it's just facial expressions and tone of voice, letting us know that they're really not thrilled to be having to deal with a women. I got absolutely none of that AT ALL from this person. This trait is worth it's weight in gold as far as I'm concerned and I would not hesitate to use this company again or refer them to anyone else that needs appliance or HVAC repair / service.

I'm currently house sitting at my friends place so I did my first load of dishes and used laundry detergent pods instead of dishwasher pod by mistake. I left the house for about an hour and came back to the foam flooded floor mess. The worst part is that dishwasher was not showing any signs of life. I called Swift and Slava was at the door step in about two hours, he removed the door, dried control panels and it start back up. It was matter of time before water would permanently damage the parts. Everything was very fast and efficient. Thank you so much!

I had an issue with a Bosch Dishwasher. I reached out to Swift Appliance Repair after seeing their reviews on Yelp.
True to form, the answered my email within minutes and repair dialogue commenced. A time was set for a Monday visit and I expressed our concerns for a quicker time.
Communication with this company is outstanding.
To our happy surprise, they said a tech could come out on Sunday. The Tech was on time and ready to tackle the problem. A very polite and energetic young man from Kiev, Ukraine. He isolated the problems, shared pictures of the situation under the dishwasher and fixed the problem.
I strongly recommend this man and his company.

Our oven suddenly stopped working. I looked at 5 different local repair businesses, and selected Galaxy based on reviews and expected cost. I had several questions before the technician arrived, and the owner was very responsive, answering the questions quickly on Yelp's messaging area. I was given a 2-hour time range the following day to expect the technician.
The technician, Paul, arrived the next day. He texted me when he was on his way. We discussed the expected cost and timeline of repair vs. replacing the oven. He was clear and friendly and answered all my many questions. He seemed quite competent and knowledgable and I was pleased he did not try to push a repair that would not have been cost-effective for me.
Paul followed health guidelines. He wore a mask and gloves and shoe coverings while he was here.

I had an issue with my refrigerator and these guys came to the rescue the same day. Very professional and service on time within 2 hr window.
As I was waiting on hold for the LG representative to connect me with an authorized washing machine repair company, I did a quick Yelp search and found great reviews for Swift Appliance Repair Service. I hung up with LG and contacted Swift.
Daniel answered the phone, and when I told him my washing machine was leaking, he said could have a repair person out the same day. Jack showed up a little over an hour after my call, and took the time to evaluate the problem and fix my machine - and the price to repair was reasonable.
I definitely recommend Swift Appliance Repair Service, and will be calling them if I have an issue with another one of my appliances.

Our dryer's heating unit stopped working so we called Swift and a few other businesses that were close by. Swift were able to schedule an appointment quickly right after New Year's so we went with them. They had a great automated text system that updated us with the time when they would arrive so we didn't need to waste hours waiting during a long service window. Slava, the technician, arrived promptly and was very professional. He quickly diagnosed the problem, had the parts on hand and fixed our dryer quickly. Very reasonably priced.

I want my money back. I paid $215 for a technician to take off my dishwasher face plate, and then put it back on WITHOUT replacing the screws in the face plate that I had explicitly said were broken and needed to be replaced. Six months later, the face plate has fallen off again, no surprise. I called to ask for a refund and was denied.
UPDATE: The manager called me proactively, was incredibly courteous, and refunded my money.
When our dishwasher went out yesterday, I looked to Yelp for service recommendations ended up getting quotes from a few different companies. Swift was one of the first to reply and Daniel was able to work with my schedule and he sent a technician over within the hour. Ivan arrived, along with a second technician and got right to work. Within an hour they had my dishwasher fixed and running again! An added bonus is they give a 10% discount when you find them on Yelp. Although I hope I won't need to, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again recommend their services to others!
Thank you very much for your help with my dishwasher. Galaxy came out to my home multiple times to ensure the problem was fixed. Most recently they came out during the shelter in place and the technician was very safe and professional. I genuinely appreciate how attentive this business has been to make sure the quality of work was excellent.
Sam came today to take a look at our fridge, which stopped working on Saturday. He was very thorough with his work. Sam concluded that the fridge freon is leaking, so it'd be better to buy a new fridge. He recommended some brands. He was nice, very knowledgeable, professional, and honest. He was wearing a mask, gloves, and maintaining physical distancing. We also covered our faces to protect his health. I appreciate honesty more than anything else, and Sam delivered that with his thorough work. I'll be calling Galaxy Applice Repair again anytime I need a similar service.

Ivan did a great job helping us out with our air conditioning unit. The unit was under warranty from Carrier and they wanted us to work with a specific company to get the credit. Still, Ivan, came out and did a temporary fix for our air conditioning unit so that we can use it until working with a pre-approved Carrier technician. He could have just left and said there's nothing he could do, but instead he took the time and helped us out. Thanks Ivan!

My AC went out on Labor Day (in 113 degree smoky, nasty weather). Yay.
I contacted as many people as I could, and Galaxy was the only to respond same day. Actually, they texted me within 5 minutes of my inquiry. I had an appointment set for the next day within an hour of my request.
The repairman called me 2 hours before my appointment time and offered to come early. I gladly accepted :), and had working AC by lunchtime.
Add honesty into the equation - the repairman told me which part was broken and how much less it would cost me to fix it myself, an offer I did not take as I really needed AC and am the most ridiculous klutz you've ever met - and I will definitely be calling Galaxy again for any AC related issue.

Could not be happier with Galaxy. Nine other service providers I contacted were unwilling to deal with a nonstandard brand and unit (Edgestar W/D all-in-one).The technician was on time and worked diligently and creatively to address a couple issues and the price was very reasonable.
Robert was prompt and very kind. He also was able to fix a problem multiple previous techs from other companies could not! I was having such a hard time with my warranty company and Samsung giving me the runaround, so I'm very glad that Galaxy was able to fix my problem so quickly. Thanks again!

We called about a leaking washing machine and they were able to come out within two days even through there is a shelter in place order in effect. Robert, the repairman was prepared and wearing a respirator. I explained what was happening and he said he thought it was the baring and that if it was it would be an expensive job. He then took the time to inspect the machine and make sure his assumption was correct. He had lots of helpful information and it's nice to work with people who aren't just out there to make a buck, especially during times like this.

At a time when many businesses are shut down, Galaxy came within hours of calling them about my gas oven not lighting. Ratmir quickly identified the ignitor as the issue, explained what was happening, and was very transparent about the cost of the part and repair.
He had the necessary part with him, immediately installed it, and our stove is back up and running.
Definitely will go with Galaxy again for any needed repairs in the future.
Got a sock stuck in my dryer. My husband and I both bruised our arms trying to fish it out. Steve came and got it out for us the next day.

Beware -My washer was acting up so I made an appointment with Ron and he scheduled an appointment for me the following day. I asked him about the $10 for $25 deal on Yelp and he said don't worry about it, he'll apply the discount and put that in my notes. The next day the technician came by and quoted me a SUPER HIGH price to repair the washer. I said let me think about it and he asked if I could pay the $79 diagnostic fee. I asked him about the discount that Ron applied and he said he didn't know what I was talking about, there are no notes and asked me to call Ron to sort it out. He made me feel like I was cheap. I called the office several times and the women who answered were uninterested in resolving the issue, I called later and they said they would try to reach Ron and after the 3rd call; the woman said Ron response was that the discount only applied if I decided to go through with the repairs?! Why didn't they let you know this in the beginning? I got quotes for $59 to diagnose but went with Galaxy cause of their ratings. I can't believe how folks could post good ratings for this business with deceptive business practices and poor customer service!

My experience with Galaxy was great! I called them and within a few hours they were able to come and fix the problem with my fridge. Vince came early and was very thorough. He took his time and brought all the appropriate diagnostic tools. I had experience with other companies where they didn't even look behind the fridge. He was able to quickly identify the issue with the inverter and had the part in hand to replace then and there. He was very helpful in teaching us about proper maintenance of the fridge and advising us whether to replace the part or buy a new fridge. The owner contacted me and refunded $75. I appreciated the gesture and will make sure I pay better attention to their charges before I approve doing the work. I think he is a responsible business owner, but I still do not think that the high charge is warranted and they should be reasonable about simple repairs. He did do a good job.
Their initial fee is just $79 but after he had the dryer all taken apart he tells me it's really linty underneath and needs a small wheel, (at most a $20 part)
Then he takes 20 minutes to fix, great right?

My washer would not run through a full cycle. Galaxy was quick to schedule a service call, and their technician, Ratmir, was right on time. He quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. Would definitely use Galaxy Appliance again.
Wow, just wow. Robert came to the house to repair the GE fridge. The water was backing up from a clogged drain and forming ice under the meat drawer. Robert is very professional in his approach, calm and focused on the task at hand. He diagnosed the problem quickly and made the repair with little fuss. He is attentive to the details and was careful to clean each part as he re assembled the fridge.
Is there a way to award 6 starts? For Galaxy (and Robert) there should be. :-)
Our AC was not working. We live in a town home our AC was located on a terrace, where our neighbors AC units are in there too. So our HOA needed to be added in the company insurance, whoever comes to repair our AC unit. And Galaxy appliance repair was able to accommodate it for us. Initially there was so much back and forth with few other companies being not able to add in the insurance also there were long wait times to come and check it. I called them yesterday and booked appointment for today which was pretty quick.
Jack came to repair the AC where he had to climb the fire ladder to reach our AC unit, he fixed it for us. Overall great job guys!! Thank you!!
Our food in the freezer started to get soft frozen , so we decided to call Galaxy. The service rep, Paul, sent a text letting me know his ETA. When he arrived, he had his mask on and his shoes were covered. After pulling out the refrigerator, he advised that we needed to keep the back area cleaned. Even though it was embarrassing, Paul was diplomatic in advising why this was important. The compressor coils were dirty and needed to be cleaned. After the completion of the work, I was sent an invoice by email which included the warranty inform. We checked the freezer and it appears that our problem has been resolved. Appreciated the professionalism of staff and follow up document.

Although I'm not thrilled that my 5 year old GE side by side refrigerator's ice maker is acting up already, I am thrilled that Ivan from Swift Appliance was able to quickly remove and replace my ice maker (required) and water valve to the ice maker/water dispenser (optional but replaced to be safe) to get my fridge back to normal.
Service charge applied to the total bill if you choose to have them fix it or you can pay the service charge and have them walk away while you call another refrigerator repair company to stop by for a second opinion.
Swift confirmed the appointment via text and both visits (diagnostics first visit, remove and replace ice maker second visit), Ivan was early and was in and out of the house in no time.
I'm not sure how competitive their pricing is (since I had to get my fridge fixed in a timely manner) but I'm out 350 for the repair.
Hope my refrigerator gives me many more years of *trouble-free* service but if it acts up down the road, I will call Swift again.
My dryer needed a repair as it wasn't heating. I contacted Galaxy Appliance they sent me a time for a possible appointment. I got a appointment time and date that fit my schedule. The technician was on time (he let me know by txt he was on his way before he arrived) and went to work after giving me an estimate and I agreed to the repair cost. Vladimir had the repair done in a half hour from start to finish. He showed me everything he was doing and explained why he was doing it. I'd definitely would use Galaxy Appliance & HVAC Repair again.
Robert was professional in the kind. Debugged the issue very fast and provided a solution for our fridge. Highly recommended the team.
Service technician, Steve, was punctual and VERY professional. He performed a thorough inspection of the machine and clearly communicated the issues and our options. Am glad to have chosen Galaxy Appliance because previous technician from another company failed to property diagnose the true issue and would have had to replace multiple parts requiring more than one visit if we had gone with them. In this instance, the repairs were not worth it and we opted to purchase a new appliance instead but would not hesitate to call Galaxy Appliance again based on this experience.

Ivan called on a Saturday, and came the same day and fixed the problem with my washer. There was a secondary issue that needed a part, he was back on the Monday evening to install that.
He was prompt and called both times to warn that he was on his way. Labor costs seem high-ish for the amount of time spent, but I don't have time to study YouTube and this was an efficient and successful option, all things considered.
I just wish 3 year old washing machines wouldn't break down!
I am fully happy with the services provided by the company - quick feedback, good price, professional services. Technician Paul is a good professional who was able to quickly identify and fix the root cause of the leakage on the bottom of my washer.
I have an old Occidental brand oven (I'm guessing from the 1940's or 50's) and the oven and broiler had stopped working. I contacted Galaxy Appliance in Berkeley and they were able to send a technician in less than 48 hours. A super friendly and well spoken gentleman named Steve sat down on the floor in front of the stove with his well-organized-looking tool bag. He diagnosed the problem in about 5-10 minutes. Steve appeared to really know his stuff. I had several questions for him and he answered all of them patiently and kindly. He only charged me for the small diagnostic visit fee. No replacement parts needed. Galaxy is awesome.

Ivan helped with Furnace repair and he provided a timely service even on a weekend. He followed up when there is an issue with zone control and ordered the right parts.

I got notification via text message that technician is on the way and shortly after this guy was here. He was very professional. For fourteen years we lived with an oven that had a noisy exhaust fan until someone told us - that's not normal!! Galaxy was very helpful, professional, honest, and quick. Our repairman made the fix in a tight space in no time. Definitely would call them again if needed!
I called early on a Saturday afternoon for repair of our GE stacked dryer, which had suddenly stopped turning on only a few weeks after the 1 year manufacturer's warranty expired. We have an old Kenmore washer that quit spinning among other things. Galaxy was prompt, professional and the washer runs like a top. The supplier sent the wrong part but Sam was able to install it so the washer worked until the right part arrived..at no extra charge to us. So happy to discover this company as I prefer to repair instead of replace if I can.
They were prompt and got an appointment scheduled in about one day (it was a non-emergency - my ice maker broke). The service tech showed up promptly on time wearing a mask and shoe coverings. They charged a fair price for the service call - $79 - which I really liked because some other companies have service call fees that are almost double this, just to come out and give an estimate. This feels like a strong arm technique to get you to hire them, whereas Galaxy charges a fair price for this.
I've had a really good experience with Galaxy Appliance Repair. Our washer/dryer www showing the OE error, and we figured the bump was probably clogged. I requested a quote on Yelp with Galaxy Appliance Repair and Ron was very quick to respond, explained the cost and helped me book an appointment in 2 days. When it came to the day of repair, Ivan showed up to help. He was fast to identify where the problem was, explained in great details what happened, and helped me replace one drain pump and cleaned up all the clogging. For all the labor and care, I think the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Galaxy if you need help!

I reached out to Galaxy to repair my broken washing machine. I reached out through Yelp and they responded within 15 minutes. When going through warranty companies it seems like weeks before you can get an appointment. They were able to come out within two days and it was super easy to set up the appointment. Since I have a stackable washer and dryer I needed two technicians. Chris and Steve were awesome! They were super professional, diagnosed the problem, and walked me through the different options we could take to fix. I would definitely use Galaxy again!
Called for some repair advice for a ten year old Whirlpool refrigerator.
After a short phone conversation, I was given an idea of some possible diagnoses and rough costs.
I elected to have a tech come out and visit.
Technician came within the time window and did some hands on checking. Diagnosis was most likely a relay. Second focus was the compressor.
I elected to fix the relay - about $300 part and labor.
Repair worked - all is cool now.
Total time - 40 mins.

Yes, I would use them again. Clear options and no upsell.

When I woke up to a pool of water at the bottom of my refrigerator during our shelter-in-place prefer, I was terrified at the thought of having any third party in my home. When our portable (meaning full-size but on wheels) dishwasher went out, Galaxy came out, did a full inspection, gave us an honest assessment (replace, not repair) and only charged us the service call fee. I will definitely be using them again! Courteous, honest, and good service.

The owner was out of town when we had an urgent repair needed. We had a couple hit-or-miss experiences with the other employees (missed appointment, etc.) but when the owner found out, he jumped in and bent over backward to make things right. I think this issue was a one-off and I would be very open to using Galaxy next time given the owner's efforts and attention.
My refrigerator wasn't maintaining a cold enough temperature so I came to Yelp and started my search. Through Yelp I sent a request out to several local repair shops and Jack from Galaxy Appliance responded within minutes. We set the appointment for the next day and he came right on time.
Jack wore foot booties, gloves, and mask the whole time. Super helpful guy and he diagnosed our issue within 10 minutes. He cleaned the problem area of the refrigerator, recharged the coolant and got it working again in no time. He then followed up the next day with a text message to see if everything was working as it should.
TLDR: great service and highly recommend
Galaxy was able to fix a broken handle on our microwave oven. They were able to obtain the part in a day and scheduled the visit shortly thereafter. Their technician was on time and fixed the problem very quickly. Overall, they did a great job. I will not hesitate using them again.

Our dishwasher stopped working on Friday and we called Galaxy and got a Saturday appointment. The technician, Vlad, arrived on time and wore a mask and booties. Within about ten minutes he had diagnosed the problem and given me my options. Excellent and timely service. Would use again.
Our refrigerator door water and ice was making a loud noise. Another company came to the house 6 times and still had not fixed the problem. Galaxy came out, diagnosed and fixed in 30 minutes! Very professional and responsive.
I got a quick response to my initial email. Robert correctly diagnosed the problem, told me where I could get replacement parts (new thermostats for my electric wall heater), and came back to do the installation. He was professional throughout. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Our freezer was developing lots of ice build up and ice cream was melting. Called Galaxy and quickly received a response. Vlad came out and asked good questions and kept a clean workspace. After a lot of investigating he did diagnose the problem and we are very happy.
Not really happy with my experience with galaxy appliance repair. I asked for an estimate on fixing a microwave door and and all they would say was it was a $70 fee to come out and see what is wrong. When tech came out he said that even though it was a small part for microwave door it was still going to be more than $300 to fix(more than microwave is worth). The technician was shocked that i wasn't told an estimate ahead of time because they would have a good idea for sure what it was going to cost. Just a money grab by the owner of the business

Amazing company in every respect - from my first phone call to the tech guy that came today! Within minutes, the tech person knew it was the fan that needed replacing. When the part came in I was notified and had an appointment the next day. The replacement fan was faulty and Galaxy replaced it with one by a different manufacture. I was never challenged about the situation needing further attention, it was just handled by Galaxy, promptly and accurately. I was notified with both a reminder text about my appointment and one from the tech when he was on his way. Could not have asked for a more perfect refrigerator repair experience.

Fantastic honest and fair, called about my leaking washing machine and gave all the information, brand,age, and problem. The person I spoke to have an approximate estimate but told me I would be better off buying a new one because of the age of it. He said there might be more problems found or they could happen later. GREAT service! I purchased a Samsung refrigerator (BTW don't ever buy a Samsung appliance) which had issues with the ice maker since we brought it home. After replacing it once under warranty to no avail, I got so mad I literally lit the internal ice maker carriage on fire (I might have anger issues). I called Galaxy under the assumption that I would need to replace the entire ice maker (cost = $450+), but their service technician was able to fix it without ordering any new parts. He also recommended that I see a therapist.
This is my second time during Covid that I've had Steve come out --first for our KitchenAid dishwasher, and then for our LG washing machine. Steve was really courteous and informative. He clearly explained the issues, and quickly and correctly repaired them. The first time, he had to order the part. It came in a week early and was back again without charging me a second time. I e already recommended him to friends!
Buyer beware! I was referred to this company by my home Warranty company. I paid my deductible and the insurance company approved the repairs. They now want to charge me an extra service fee because my repair required two people. Obviously they don't like working with home warranty companies because they don't get the same rate they would if I had not had insurance. Also the technicians who showed up we're not only late but short and rude with my wife. Luckily for them I wasn't home.
Fixed our A/C problem. Since it was simple case of switch being off (our lid fell off causing the furnace switch to reset), we were not charged anything.

Thank god for Galaxy Appliance Repair! My AC suddenly decided to stop working in the middle of a major heatwave in Cali, which was also during the wildfires, when AC functionality was definitely not optional. Anyway, I called them and they came out the very next morning, 8am, and their tech, Jack, fixed it in the same appt. It probably took all of 20 mins! Maybe less. He had to add freon to it and clean something internally in there as well - I'm not repair or tech savvy, sorry, so everything he explained went in one ear and out the other, and next thing I know, my baby is back in business! The tech was really friendly and nice, and wore his mask and gloves and shoe covers the whole time, which also put me at ease.
I read some reviewers on here complaining about their fees, but I gotta say, I found the cost to be very fair. I think those reviewers are just cheap and unrealistic about how much appliance repairs typically cost. Do people really not know that appliance repairs always cost AT LEAST a few hundred bucks, and that's on the LOW end?? I mean, based on some of the comments I've seen on here, I guess so. It's just so weird to me because I am totally technologically challenged and know nothing about appliances, truly not a damn thing, it's like a foreign language to me, and even I knew that repairing them costs several hundred bucks on average... And yeah, I certainly wasn't THRILLED to spend that kind of money, especially during a pandemic, but I mean... what's the alternative? I'd rather pay a few hundred bucks once, for a repair that fixes my AC and prolongs its life for another 5-ish years, than buy a whole brand new AC system, which costs thousands and thousands AND THOUSANDS of dollars, that will ALSO wear down over time and have to be repaired just the same eventually.

When my dryer broke down, I didn't know what was wrong with it nor how to fix it. I tried to do all I could but still no luck. I asked around to see if anyone knew a good repair man and my friend highly recommended these guys. I honestly mean this when I say it, you will not be disappointed with this company. They are respectful, quick, professional and most importantly they are thorough. Not only did they repair my high limit switcher but their technician went the extra mile to do a full maintenance service. Everything looked bran new and was working like a new machine!

I am very impressed with Galaxy Appliance Repair. I have a GE oven microwave combo and the latch for the microwave was broken. I called over two dozen appliance repair companies and they all said they could not repair the appliance because GE had discontinued making the specific latch for the unit. I spoke to Ron and he said he would send Sam to look at the unit. Sam was able to repair the broken latch on site!
Amazing service and I will always call Galaxy Appliance repair for all future service needs. Thank you Ron and Sam for your excellent work!!!

Our fridge was leaking water so my landlord called Galaxy Repair to get it looked at. Robert came out the same day, apparently our drainage pipe was super clogged but he got it all cleaned out and back to working order. Awesome work, very happy with the service.
Had a great experience with Robert today. He was both knowledgeable and professional and after taking time to ACTUALLY diagnose the problem (not just do a quick look and then try to sell me on some extra service like many companies do) he took the time to clearly explain to me exactly what the issue with my leaking dishwasher was (and in terms that I was able to understand). Will definitely call again.
Came out for a capacitor problem. Spent 5mins to confirm capacitor was the problem- cost $79. Wanted another $350 to replace the capacitor. I opted for them not to do the work. Bought the part in Dublin $40, replaced it in 5 minutes. I don't understand why they would choose to quote $350 for a $40 part and 5 minutes worth of work. The $79 I paid should have covered the labor to change the capacitor. I would not have minded paying an additional $80 for the part, but $350....unreal

I was able to book a same-day appointment with Galaxy for my leaking washer. The technician came on time. As soon as he saw the washer, he told me the washer's really old and the parts might be discontinued. After checking it out, he found that the motor needed to be replaced. The part was discontinued as he had suspected. He explained to me that I had two options, either to buy the part from China and spend about $500-$600 for parts and labor or buy a new washer. He recommended the later. I thought he was honest and sincere and took his suggestion and was going to write a check for his visit. He insisted it's free, because the job's easy for me and I was close to your place.
It's my first time trying Galaxy. I was very impressed by the promptness, the professionalism, and the honesty. I'll definitely use Galaxy again.

He was able to quickly diagnose the problem and to advise us that it was not worth the expense of repairing. Our oven went out right before Thanksgiving. We called Galaxy. Robert came the same day and fixed it! He was quick and professional. He took care to make sure he didn't scratch cabinets or moulding in the kitchen. He was quick too! And the price was super reasonable. We know it's hard to find good repair technicians and we were super pleased we found Galaxy. The reviews were spot on! 5 star service!!

He fixed my oven because the sensor that locked the door when using the self cleaning function did not work.
It was very complicated . He came and diagnosed the problem right away, ordered the part and within
10 days he was back with the part and the lock works!
I had three other companies before Ratmir came.
One person just couldn't figure it out....
Two other companies said they would come and never showed.
Ratmir is an EXCELLENT Technician.
Pleasant, professional and gets the job done!
He also fixed my dishwasher at the same time.
It was installed incorrectly and the water was backing up.

Chris was able to come out within a day of our request to look at our leaking refrigerator. We truly appreciated his advice and honesty regarding our options to repair our 3 year old fridge. One of our tenant's washing machines stopped working, and due to Covid the service technicians that do business under our home warranty company were booked several weeks out or not responding to calls. I found Galaxy on yelp and was surprised to see that they were in our backyard in Berkeley and had numerous positive reviews (which seemed too good to be true). Galaxy was very quick to respond with same day appointment availability. Dispatch were professional and personable. The appt was confirmed via text and email instantly with detailed instructions for Covid safety protocols. It goes without saying but as a landlord it is critical to hire pros that follow C19 protocols so as not to endanger tenants or themselves. The day of the appointment the tech called to let us know he was on the way and arrived on time. The repair was completed promptly - a clogged drain hose. A week later the washer experienced the same problem and the technician returned and re-cleared the hose. No additional fees since it was under the same repair ticket. Going forward I plan to use Galaxy. I do not know if Galaxy works with our home warranty company directly but I'm happy to go the extra step of submitting for reimbursement. It's reassuring to know that there is reliable and competent appliance repair nearby when you need it.

After trying to repair our AC myself and calling several HVAC companies for same day service we were out of luck. The family was getting upset because the heat was unbearable. When I called Swift Appliance Repair I got a live person on the phone, same day service, and a text message from Ratmir stating he was on his way.
We hired many service companies in the past but I was already impressed and we didn't even have our appointment yet. When Ratmir arrived he was extremely courteous and very knowledgeable about the system. He informed me of everything he was doing and what may or may not be needed for the repair.
He performed the repair as we requested and did it efficiently and effectively. He didn't waste any time and made certain the AC units were working well before he left. We contacted Galaxy (Swift) based on the outstanding Yelp reviews as we had a number of issues with our Viking refrigerator and Viking freezer. While Galaxy may do outstanding work on other appliance models, our results were quite disappointing. They are not a Viking Authorized Service Provider which may be part of the problem. They claim to be Factory Trained, though it would appear they did not learn very much in the training. They were prompt and quickly ordered parts for both items. But when the refrigerator and freezer continued to break down and we contacted Viking, we learned that our parts should have been free as the freezer and refrigerator were under warranty. So we wasted over $1k in parts (and thousands in labor) and still have broken appliances. And interestingly, they no longer take my calls.
So let me start off with my story. My fridge of about 14 years suddenly stopped cooling. It's been like this for about a week now and while searching online I ran into Swift Appliance Repair Services. I saw their ratings and the amount of reviews they had so I decided to give them a shot. Ron the owner replied to me within minutes. He was able to schedule a technician to stop by on the days I had someone home. The service fee was $79 to diagnose the problem. The tech said everything appears to be fine and that my settings were too low. After trying what he recommended with no success I contacted them and they sent out another tech a day later. Ratmir replaced the starter and everything seemed to be working just fine. Labor and parts it was about $200. They give you a 6 month warranty on parts and labor. Now here is where the amazing customer service comes into play. After about an hour we notice the freezer and the fridge not cooling no more. I contacted Ron and told him we will be going with a new fridge as we feel it's cheaper than to continually fixing this old one. He then contacted Ratmir and he stopped by and refunded us the $200 and took out the new starter. Ron didn't fight me on it, nor did he try and up-sell me on other services in anyway. Ratmir upon taking out the new starter said it can be the compressor that's broken and would cost $1000 to fix anyways and a new fridge is the way to go. These guys are honest hardworking people that you can trust. Their ratings speak for themselves. Although they didn't get my services, I will recommend anyone I know to them with confidence. Keep up the good work guys.

I called for a repair on a spring that broke on our GE Monogram refrigerator. I was able to get a technician that day and after the part was ordered, he was back for the install. Quick, friendly service.
Showed up in short order and assessed the problem. Cost of repairs proved more expensive than a new washer, but worked hard to meet our repair need with the owner getting involved.
My washer and dryer are 12-year-old top of the line (then) Maytags. They say the kitchen is the heart of the home; well with 3 athletic teenage boys, the laundry room is the soul!
My washer has had water pool inside the drum since May. I was content to just run the spin cycle every few days in-between washes until I could afford a new one. Well, just 2 weeks ago the dryer started making that metal on metal sound so I knew it was now the time to deal with this.
I didn't really want to spend the money on new appliances so I looked through Yelp reviews and found Swift Appliance Repair. They had someone out within 24 hours, a Friday. They gave a VERY reasonable quote for both appliances. The parts would be in that next Tuesday and they could make the repair on Wednesday! Our schedule shifted so we couldn't have them serviced until today. We just did small loads of laundry and hung items on the mantle with the fireplace on for a few days.
The repairs were made well within the two hour time frame and there were no hidden charges.
I hope I don't have to use them again, but if I have other issues, they are the first on my list.

Our Bosch dishwasher wouldn't drain. From researching online it's usually 1 of 4 things; clog, kinked hose, panel board or pump. Paul had a new pump with him and installed it. Soooo glad we didn't have to wait to order the part.
Plus while we were waiting for the dishwasher to go through some cycles Peter fixed our broken front door knob!

I was the 5th appointment of the day for Robert and I could tell he was really tired when he arrived. But like a true professional, he took his time to clearly explain everything and pointed out all the possible causes of why my fridge wasn't cooling. He took extra time to try adding freon and even steam cleaned my coils in an attempt to get it running again. He didn't give up which is a true testament to his work ethic. Although in the end, my fridge wasn't fixed, I feel Robert definitely went above and beyond and earnestly did everything he could. This speaks to Swift Appliance's commitment to excellent service. Ratmir was courteous, professional and even showed up early (he sent a text to let me know this). I called at 8:30 and they arrived three hours later to solve my common dishwasher problem. Their prices are fair and I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.
It was very easy to setup an appointment for the next day, and they arrived promptly on time. Steve diagnosed and quickly fixed the issue without having to order new parts. He was very professional and wore PPE the entire time.

Fantastic service provider! These guys came out the same day, went over and above (even replacing the photos & magnets on our appliances), and cleaned thoroughly on their way out. I'm fairly particular when it comes to services (particularly when they are taking place in my home). I would invite the crew from Swift back any day. Thank you again guys. 5 Stars!!!

Our dishwasher stopped draining and spilled water all over our floors. I called Galaxy Repair because of the great reviews. The positive comments are justified. The office person scheduled an appointment for us as soon as possible. Robert the repair person texted in advance of his arrival, was on time, and made sure we all followed COVID safety procedures. He diagnosed the problem quickly (pump failure), and due to the age of the machine, he said he indicated the pump could not be replaced. He did not charge a service call since he could not solve our problem. He was extremely polite, efficient and clear. I cannot say enough good things about this experience.
Wanted to call out Ratmir for his professionalism on a recent visit. Our refrigerator was dying and I contacted Galaxy. On the day of appointment, Ratmir texted ahead of time and was Covid compliant coming into the house. After diagnosing the issue and although he could have easily suggested a repair, he was honest and transparent and suggested our best course of action was probably a new fridge given the age of the appliance and many systemic failures. He went thru the pros and cons and explained each in detail. Much appreciated.
I own a restaurant and our oven door broke. I sent out to multiple places for quotes. While almost all the them responded immediately (even though I sent out request around 9:30pm or so), I choose Swift and another company because they specifically mentioned that they can handle commercial equipment.
At first, I thought the other one was better, because he asked for a picture of my appliance and model # immediately; I thought he was thorough. But then it went down hill from there. It appears that they have difficulty giving me a basic quote, citing many excuses such as technician not responding, he is looking for parts,.... So, I went to Swift instead. They have a typical upfront service charge and waive it if we use them setup. I wasn't sure whether they were going to over charge. They gave me a 2 hour window and Alexey came promptly within the time frame. He look at our issue and quickly determined he can fix it without ordering new parts. He got his tools and got the door fixed without problem all while we are actively serving our customers during our lunch hour.
I appreciated Alexey's efficient and knowledge of our appliance. He was able to make it work without needing to wait for new parts. I highly recommend them.

yes sir, as good as it gets. Dealing with repair companies are always hit and miss. We definitely hit with Swift. My wife emailed them about the service and they promptly replied and scheduled next day appointment. Ratmir arrived a few minutes early. Our washer, that is only about 4 yrs old, stopped pumping the water out. He took a look and quickly figured it was the pump, ok not the hardest to diagnose, but he didn't waste time playing around. He said he would try fixing it without having to replace the pump, sometimes it works. He said if it didn't no charge, he'd order the pump and replace it and would only charge for that service, no double charging. Well he fixed it without replacing the pump. I'm calling them again for other appliance needs for sure.
Jack did a fantastic job of quickly diagnosing and fixing our broken range. He was very friendly and provided us great service at a very reasonable price! Will use him for future repairs.
Quick responses to questions and gave updates through Yelp. Very professional. Steve found the problem in our heater and got it working quickly.
Oven in my 15 year old Thermador range stopped working. Steve came out and quickly and correctly diagnosed the problem and ordered the part. Came back out to install the new part the day after it arrived at the shop. Steve was personable and took all the necessary COVID-19 precautions. Smoothest appliance repair experience ever.
Had a leak with our dishwasher, the team came out promptly and gave an assessment. We decided to go ahead a purchase a new dishwasher due to the high price to fix the old one.
I had a dryer issue so I called up this company to send out a tech to diagnose the problem. The tech, Named Aaron, was very courteous and professional. He sent me a text to inform me of his arrival time. He showed up on time. He very clearly went the extra mile in checking every possible thing that could go wrong with my appliance. I am very very happy with the service that Aaron provided. I will definitely call them if I have any more appliance repairs needed in the future. I would recommend them very highly.

The repairman showed up as planned, gave me an accurate estimate, came back once he received the new part, and got my dishwasher fixed. 6 months warranty on the repair. No complaints whatsoever!
Can't recommend strongly enough! We were having some issues with our wine fridge and washing machine. They were available the next day, showed up right on time, were super knowledgeable about all the appliances, fixed what needed fixing, and after all that charged way less than I was expecting. Will definitely use them again if we run into anymore issues.

This was a great service, they where very truthful about my fridge and told me it wasn't worth fixing. Also they came the same day I requested there service.
They guys were prompt and courteous and texted me when they were 25 minutes away.
I had an issue with some rodents, eating the wiring and they were able to figure out the problem quickly and resolve the issues.
I wouldn't hesitate to call them again!
Had an issue with Samsung dryer and i reached out to Swift appliances. As the name stands, had a swift and good experience.
Jack was the repair person who was knowledgeable, diagnosed the problem, replaced the parts needed and got the machine up and running without any issues.

Came out to fix my stackable washer/dryer. They were very friendly and helpful on the phone, they were flexible with my schedule requests, I got a confirmation text immediately when the appointment was booked, and a text 30mins before our agreed window of 12-2 to let me know they were on the way and an ETA. The technician Ratmir, was very professional, he was very quick, thorough and efficient. He explained the problem and gave us the possible solutions. Our fridge was leaky, he cleaned out the drain and did a good job.
I felt like the technician was listening when I was explaining the problem. I liked that he asked good question and was patient in testing our heater even though the problem did not appear quickly. They provide great service!
Swift was literally SWIFT. The heating element on our dryer went out. I sent a request for bids through YELP and got a quick response. They came the next day, and told me exactly what was wrong. Unfortunately had to go back to their store and get the new part but came back the next day and had it fixed in an hour. He did not try to price gouge, told me exactly how much it would cost, got it done and that was it. Dryer is good as new. Thank you!
Jake was great. Appointment was 5-7 and he was done by 5:30. Issue was exactly what he thought it would be, got the pump changed out and didn't make a mess hopefully it's the last time we need their service for a long while.
We have an old Kenmore fridge that starts leaking. Called Swift Appliance Repair Service later at night around 7pm and surprisingly got a call back in about 10 minutes, they gave me a quote over the phone based on symptoms which turned to be correct after it was diagnosed by their technician. We got an appointment for noon the following day. Their guy showed up 20min early with all the equipment. He opened the inside of the freezer and explained why there were a leak and excessive ice buildup. He melted all the ice with a special machine and cleaned drain hole. It was a very easy experience. Thank you!
Went out and gave me a quote on fixing my refrigerator. Decided to buy a new one due to the cost/age ratio. However the technician was honest and up front. Would recommended them with the caveat to compare replacement with repair costs on all appliances.
I called an appliance repair person as I need to get a refrigerator fixed immediately for my tenants. Yelp provided me with a good rating on Swift and I called them.
They were efficient and quick and got to the house in quick time. Sadly, I need a new refrigerator, but was so pleased with their service and information they gave me I had to write a review.

Swift deserves a 5++++. Yesterday, I asked for an appointment and was able to get one for the same day. My air conditioner was not working for the past days and with the extreme heat, it was great someone could come out. The problem was diagnosed and fixed for the cost of a service call. A couple of other things were pointed out that could lead to some problems in the future, but no pressure was given to do. Service is professional, knowledgeable, and makes sure the job is complete before leaving. The cost is the most reasonable that I have seen.
The whole experience felt very disorganized. They also fixed very certain things and had to hire an electrician to fully fix the issue. Now I have additional problems and getting another HVAC company. There seemed to be large disconnect with scheduling and completion of the problem.

I have to say I was really impressed with the service from Galaxy Appliance Repair. They responded to my request for service immediately via Yelp and came out on the same day. The serviceman identified the issue with my refrigerator and recommended a course of action that saved me time and money. I won't hesitate to call them again. They will be my go to for any troubleshooting with my appliances.
My washer was not working. The door was jammed and I could not get it open and it was full of wet clothes. I called at 9 am and they had a technician at my house by 10:35! Ratmir was the technician who showed up and he was very polite and professional. He was able to solve the problem!

Our dishwasher was not properly draining and we happened across Galaxy in our online search. They promptly scheduled Chris to come inspect the dishwasher in less than 24 hours. Really helpful team. Quick reply and easy to reach customer service reps. We could talk to a person every time we called. The repair person was very professional. Our dishwasher ended up irreparable but they did all they could with last minute home visits and calls in the evening to help us get up and running again and didn't charge for all the time they put it in. Very responsive and solid service. My Maytag dryer started to make very loud squeaking sounds. Swift responded quickly to my inquiry and setup an appointment for next morning. Technician showed up on time, took apart the dryer and diagnosed the problem - one of the roller wheels got stuck and start rubbing on the spinning drum, the best part is that he had matching new wheel set with him so it was all taken care of at once. I believe Slava(?) was his name, was very helpful, he showed me everything inside and explained how dryer works and gave me couple useful tips for future. Very glad I chose this company.

Our Kitchenaid dishwasher had an issue that needed attention, so I called Galaxy Appliance Repair. Their service was timely, extremely professional, and our technician couldn't have been nicer. He quoted the price in advance, so there were no surprises, and fixed the problem efficiently. He was also helpful in giving us a heads-up about a noise the water valve was making. It didn't need immediate attention, but he thought it worth keeping an eye (or ear) on, as this part does fail eventually. I couldn't have been happier with the service we received and recommend Galaxy Appliance Repair wholeheartedly. They will definitely be our first call if we need any future repairs.

My refrigerator stopped putting out cold air so I called Swift and they booked me an appointment for the next day to have someone out to look at it. Paul arrived promptly and wasted no time in figuring out the problem and ordering the parts I needed. When they came in a week later he installed it quickly and efficiently, and he even came back to check on a part that seemed wasn't working and took the time to explain what was going on clearly. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and I will definitely be using Swift for all future appliance repairs!

I woke up this morning and my house was so cold, my Williams wall heater broke overnight. I tried to light the pilot but it won't stay on. Called Swift repair around 10am and got same day appointment between 1 and 3pm. He showed up on time, found the problem in 10minutes and had the replacement part with him already. My furnace was fixed in 20min. Very punctual and professional. And tall and cute!

Best service ever, Robert came on time to check out water leaking into the bottom of the crisper drawers in a Samsung Fridge. Galaxy fixed our Thermadore freezer. Very resonable price, fast response from owner Ron B. Paul the technician did great job, highly professional. Cannot be more satisfied. It was a tough problem with multiple broken parts and a leaking pipe. Three different companies before Galaxy were either not able to fix the problem or gave ridiculously high quote. We were about to give up and buy a new one (costs ~$9000). Paul did a thorough check and found out the problems, gave a very reasonable quote ($720). He spent ~3hours to fix the problems, very patient, great attitude, and obviously very experienced and knowledgable, unlike previous company technician who made things worse instead of fixing it. So far the freezer is running well. It was really pleasant experience.

I repaired my refrigerator a few years ago due to a compressor problem. Now it is not cold again but only in the non-frozen side. Swift responded to my request right away. Repairman Jack came to my house early in the 2 hour window. He quickly spot the problem and told me that the coil in the refrigeration side is malfunction. To be sure, he also checked the back panel to confirm the diagnosis. Jack is very polite and very knowledgeable. Because the age of my refrigerator, I decided not to fix it and will replace it with a new one. It was a pleasant service visit by Jack. All I have to say is WOW! This is the best repair service experience I've ever had. Our dishwasher had stopped working with an ominous leak detection message. Faced with a mountain of dishes, I found Swift on Yelp, called last night, and surprisingly someone immediately picked up and scheduled service for less than 12 hours later.
Aaron was the repair man that showed up, and was super prompt, professional, and thorough in diagnosing and fixing the problem. Our dishwasher is back to working now. This was (by far) the most painless appliance repair experience. Aaron was fantastic! I'll never call another GE repair person again. I'll go with Swift. The whole experience was just like their name - swift. As good as it gets.

It was difficult to find someone who could repair my Thermador oven, but once I did, I was pleased with the result!

The repair person was slightly late, due to another job. However when he did arrive, I was pleased. I was only expecting an estimate with repairs to be done another day. He fixed my washer on-the-spot and then waited for my loooong wash cycle to finish to make sure the job was done completely. Now I understand why he took longer to get to me.

Very responsive and great work! My dishwasher stopped heating water and drying. They came over, checked for what it needed, ordered parts, and scheduled a follow up. He put the parts in and it was back up and running in hour. Very stoked!

I set up 2 appointments with this company for a tenant that was not receiving any hot water. My original appointment was for Friday and the repairman was in an accident. They were unable to send anyone out that day and the technician's car was totalled. The supervisor then spoke to a technichian and they set an appointment for Sunday at 10am. The supervisor assured me that they would be there today (Sunday) at 10am. We were at the property at 10am and after waiting for about 30 minutes no one showed. I called and was told they don't do appointments on Sunday. When I explained this was set by a supervisor the agent then said that they had been trying to call me. I have no missed calls or voicemails. My tenant is still without hot water and I am disappointed with the service and response of this company. I WILL NOT recommend them and I WILL NOT be using their services in the future.
My refrigerator/freezer just wasn't as cold as it should be and ice was melting within the freezer even with the settings on the maximums. Fearing the worst, I searched for a local appliance repair service with a great rating. Galaxy responded quickly to my Yelp-sent inquiry and I made an appointment. It was very simple and efficient...just a quick phone call and a text confirmation that I added to my calendar. The repairman came at the front-end of the time window, set expectations, performed his diagnostic check, and gave me options.
I admit, the refrigerator motor area had never been cleaned...and that was the root of the problem. Ratmir (the repairman) was quick & cost efficient, honest, and informative.
I absolutely recommend Galaxy Appliance Repair.
Our dryer was broken for a long time. I found them on yelp and they accommodated is right away for the next day appointment. They gave me 12pm-2pm window but after I mentioned that I have to leave by 2pm sharp, the technician was here by 12pm and was very efficient. He not only fixed it but also cleaned the filter too. We had a great experience. Strongly recommended.

One of our cooktop burners stopped working and the 'on' light never turned off. We researched and replacing it with a brand new one would cost a few thousand dollars. After months of procrastinating, I called Galaxy. They ordered a part, came back to install it but the part from their supplier did not work. So they had to order another part again. After a few tries, I had just about given up on my cooktop but Galaxy didn't give up. They fixed it and I was thrilled. I appreciate their perseverance and great customer service. Would definitely call them again!
Had another emergency with my heater and Swift was my go to. They quickly sent a technician within the same day, and now I have heat! Bravo!
These guys are terrific. Called them on a Saturday because my one year old state of the art Maytag washer stopped draining. The technician was able to come the next day (Sunday), arrived early and fixed the problem (Clogged pre-filter at the pump) within an hours time.
Excellent service by these guys, came on time and fixed the issue at a reasonable price. Would definitely use them in future.

I wasnt sure what was the problem with my oven, sent request for 4-5 companies and got very different quotes. Guys from Swift were the only who was trying to understand me and provided detailed quote. Daniel came next day, performed neat and professional service. It was a nice experience since I was not too optimistic about a company with only 5 reviews. They cleaned the space and gave some suggestions how to treat all appliances at home. Our Air conditioner stopped working on a Hot Sunday Afternoon. We tried to called a few places to see if anyone could come out to check the unit out and had no success. Went on yelp to see if we could find anyone to come in on a Sunday. They were the first to respond and schedule a time. The tech called before he showed up. Was on time. Spent time checking the problem and tried to fix my air conditioner and Heat but the problem was a lot bigger than we realized. He was extremely thorough and ordered all the parts needed. Came back as promised and fixed the unit. Was very polite and efficient. Cost for all the labor and material was competitive. Will be my first call for any future needs.
Galaxy did an excellent job repairing our gas dryer! Slava was friendly and professional- he arrived on time and completed the repair quickly and thoroughly. Very satisfied with his services and would use them again if needed. They provided a six month warranty for the dryer repair.

Steve arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem with my KitchenAid dishwasher. He explained what had to be done and gave me an estimate for his work. He completed the work, fixed the dishwasher, and gave me a Senior discount. I definitely recommend Galaxy Appliance Repair and Steve.
Never got past the receptionist answering the phone because she was so off-putting so I can't comment on their actual work but, gauging by the receptionist's phone manner, they are at best disinterested and at worst incompetent.
Very prompt response and professional service - I called yesterday and they were able to schedule next day service! The technician is very professional and acknowledgeable; he was able to quickly diagnose the problem and fix the broken wire that caused the beeping sound. This was by far the best experience I've ever had dealing with any appliance repair service. OMG these people are amazing. First off I needed only to wait 15 min to get a quick response and a call back with a comprehensive quote after I described the issue. These people clearly had a great knowledge in the repair industry and fixed my air conditioner in a quick and easy manner. The water dispenser from our side by side refrigerator was leaking so I decided to give Swift Appliance Repair Service a try. I'm so glad I did.
They set up an appointment with me within 10 minutes of my request through Yelp. On the day of the appointment, Paul texted that he was available EARLIER than our scheduled window! When he got here, he assessed the situation and offered a couple of options to fix the issue. I went for the more economical way, given that our refrigerator is on the older side. He picked up the part needed, returned quickly and immediately explained what he was going to do. After fixing the problem, he had to get all the trapped air out of the water line and made sure there was no leaks. He cleaned out the motor and even offered to clean the stainless doors and covers!
He was professional throughout and was thoughtful about not hammering/shoving parts around like a previous appliance repair person did for another issue. He kept the area clean and neat. He even offered a guarantee of their workmanship!
Very reasonable rates for the exceptional level and care of work. I highly recommend Swift Appliance Repair Service.
We called to make an appointment to have thermostat looked at on our wine cooler. Person who answered was polite and we scheduled an appointment to have a technician come out. Our dryer recently took a plunge I requested a quote from Swift Appliance through yelp and sure enough their Pleasant Hill office called me within about 10 min. Their repair man Ratmir came within a few hours to confirm our findings that the heat element was out. Kuddos to them for a fast response time! It was midweek and it took several days for the part to come in. Ratmir came back that Sunday to fix our dryer. He was very polite and professional and got the job done quickly and efficiently. Parts plus labor was almost $400 so that's the only downfall. They do provide a 6 months warranty which is nice. If your handy and think you can repair an appliance yourself most parts can be found on amazon for much cheaper and you can also find step by step tutorials on youtube.

Tech arrived within the 2 hour time frame they provided. They also sent me appointment reminder by text message. Paul was very polite and professional. He fixed my washer same day. The jury's still out a little bit in that we don't know if the fix worked but the tech did tell us it may not. These particular ovens have some quirks which we had some knowledge of based on research but the tech showed on time, explained everything he was doing and gave us some heads up on the possible outcomes. We are cooking pizza this week and will know right away if the fix worked. The service fee was very fair and the tech knowledgeable and polite. If the oven performs the way it should then it will be 6 stars!
I had a dryer stop working in my rental in El Cerrito. Steve showed up at the allotted time and diagnosed the problem. He was professional, very personable, and honest. I would not hesitate to use Galaxy again, and would definitely ask for Steve.
The refrigerator's freezer side works fine, but frig side was warm. The technician told me it needs drain line coil cleaning, and I agreed him to do it. However, the issue is still exactly the same, and even worse, after a couple days, the downstairs people reported flood. It ends up with refrigerator ice maker leaking.
Appointment on the same day!! Great tech Slava touched all the bases and answered all our questions. So we have fast response, knowledgeable techs, and prices were very reasonable. We'll recommend them to friends.
Super fast and reliable! I had a problem with my kenmore stove, in which the heating element was not working. Boris was able to come in assess the problem and order the part on a Friday. It's now Tuesday and my stove is up and running. Boris is super friendly and knowledgeable. Great customer service and an absolute pleasure to do business with.
Washer went out Sunday night, made an inquiry on a Monday afternoon and Steve was out Tuesday morning with the part needed in hand. That's some next level customer service.

I contacted Galaxy via Yelp based on the good reviews, to look at our dryer which has stopped blowing hot air. They quickly responded, we set up and appointment, and the technician arrived promptly, very quickly identified and repaired the problem, and even crawled under our back patio to check for any vent clog that might cause the issue to reoccur. They charged me only the amount they quoted to diagnose the problem since it only require a switch reset, which as anyone whose dealt with other service providers know isn't always the case. I'd certainly trust them again the next time one of our appliances needs service.

I wanted to update my original review to include the company's excellent, follow up!
We were still having an issue with the refrigerator so they dispatched additional technicians, supervisor Ivan and Elgin, along with Ali, to troubleshoot our issue. They were so thorough and ultimately found the defect with the Kenmore model after completing their assessment!
We had a Kenmore tech come out when the refrigerator was still under warranty and were frustrated with the poor level of service or we would have called them first.
We, again, appreciate the service we received from Swift Appliance!

Had an appointment at 4pm with Boris to fix our washer, he called and showed up at 3:30pm(sorry u wasn't home yet!) but it's nice when the appointment is on time nor late.
He quickly figured out the problem and off to Home Depot we went to purchase a part to fix the issue. Excellent service, friendliness and professionalism. I highly recommend this company to anyone that needs repairs.

Their front office gave me a 2-hour appointment window between 8am and 10am. Ivan and Boris arrived on time at 8am, which I really appreciate because it means minimal time away from my own office job. They diagnosed the problem with my fridge, explained the required parts and repair work, went out to pick up the parts and came back, and fixed my fridge promptly. From start to finish, the process only took a little more than 2 hours. These guys knew their stuff.

I was so impressed by the appliance repairman yesterday. I previously called a different company about my washing machine making a loud noise during the spin cycle. The other company spent less than 10 minutes checking it out. He didn't even take off his backpack. Told me, my washer was fine. I was really angry and called the company. They waived the service fee but I still didn't know why my washer was making so much noise. I had called Galaxy and they sent a great tech out the same day and he spent time, ruled out the obvious problems, we didn't hear the noise until almost the end of his visit and he gave me my answer. I do have to buy a new washer, but at least I know that everything was looked into. Thank you Galaxy and thank you Ratmir!

A lot of trepidation looking for a refrigerator repair, but Swift's technician, Alex, was on time for the appointment and diagnosed a problem with sensors. He said he would do the repair, and if it didn't solve the problem, they would not charge for the repair above the estimate.
True to their word, he came out twice before coming to the conclusion that the repair on a 9 year old refrigerator would be a compressor replacement and not worth the cost. Swift promptly refunded the repair cost.
I would not hesitate a moment to call Swift for any future appliance repair needs. Honest and professional.

Service at its absolute best! My furnace wouldn't switch on, and after reading reviews I reached out to 5 companies. Swift answered first and had a technician out the next morning to diagnose the problem. The part wasn't available locally, and had to be shipped from the manufacturer. It arrived a week earlier than promised and my furnace was repaired within 10 minutes using the correct part. The technician was professional, called me prior to arriving, correctly diagnosed the problem, made sure my filter was in good order, and waited for the furnace to run for awhile to ensure everything was in working order. I highly recommend them!

Slava did a great job diagnosing our fridge's sudden malfunction and was extremely diligent and careful not to damage the floors or fixtures while removing it, which I greatly appreciated. He was creative in solving problems, did not up-sell, and was friendly. Would use Swift again.

My refrigerator starting making noise and smoking. I went online and found Swift Appliance Repair. They immediately sent out a tech. Ratmir was friendly, clean and efficient. I contacted Swift Appliance Repair Service one week ago for repairs on a broken Samsung dryer. They sent out Jack immediately - same day! He offered to arrive even earlier than the scheduled window of time, and I was happy to accept. Jack was courteous, professional and extremely knowledgeable about the issue with this particular appliance. He ordered the parts required to complete the repair. He told me it would take 1-2 days for the parts to arrive. It took 6 days total. Not Jack's fault! This is how things go when it comes to ordering repair parts.
It took 6 days for the parts to arrive, but after I called Swift Appliance Repair about it on day 5, they immediately scheduled another appointment for the repair with the parts that they had ordered for the following day.
On the following day, Jack sent me messages about when exactly he would arrive, and not only fixed the broken part (a belt), but replaced a part that I knew is bound to fail about the same time as the belt - a tension pulley assembly which is likely to fail due to melting over time. Since I had researched this issue for my particular Samsung dryer, I knew that this is a problem that would need to be addressed at some time. Well, Jack knew too! He replaced that part as part of the repair to the immediate problem, which was a broken drive belt.
My overall experience with Swift Appliance Repair was excellent, and I highly recommend them. If the reader is wondering why I did not dock Swift Appliance Repair a star for having under-estimating the time it would take to get the ordered parts for the repair, it is because I called them to ask about it after waiting 6 days, and the person who handled my call took care of everything. I was so impressed by how they handled this, they get a full 5 stars.

We had an in-wall gas heating system from the 60's that decided to die this winter, and Slava, Ivan, and team were very responsive, upgrading our old furnaces and working through some follow-up balancing. We have a fairly high cost microwave - GE Profile - that started turning when the door was open. Then on Sunday it just died. I went shopping online for a replacement, figuring nobody bothers to fix things like that and we needed one right away. Then I decided to look for a repair service, and Galaxy came up with great ratings on Yelp, and they repair many types of appliances including microwaves. I called them Monday late morning and they had a time slot available that evening. Apparently the headquarters are in Pleasant Hill but they have technicians all over the East Bay, including Oakland. John came about a half hour early (wearing a mask and gloves), figured out it was a door switch, and he had the right part with him! In about 30 minutes he had it fixed. Great service, on time, very easy to deal with, and saved us from dumping our microwave in the landfill. Highly recommended!

We were having problems with our old fridge never getting cold enough and were worried about our food going bad. The Swift repairman figured out the issue(s) quickly and fixed up the fridge; steaming to clear out the dumpers, tightening the bolts to get the doors to seal properly, and a few other tweaks. Everything's working great now! I'm happy we don't have to buy a new fridge.
Great response time (10 minutes) for contact and able to make appointment within 18 hrs (next morning). Repairman arrived promptly within early part of time frame given. Polite and knowledgeable he was able to repair my washer in less than 45 minutes. No extra charge as no parts needed, so i am thrilled!

I've worked through 3 repair services in the past. I will only use Galaxy moving forward. I initially had Robert come out to fix a Viking refrigerator issue, we fixed that, then we fixed my Viking range. I worked with Robert, he was exceptional and understood the technical refrigeration requirements of the refrigerator and was also very knowledgeable on gas. He ended up replacing a evaporator fan in the fridge, correctly charged the refrigerant, and then replaced the solenoid gas valve for the range while reterminating the wiring running the solenoid valve. Robert was awesome and i couldn't recommend him more.

Robert came to fix an old Viking Refrigerator that was icing up. He was able to correctly diagnose the problem (a clogged drain line) and efficiently fix it. I have used many repair guys over the years and don't think anyone could had fixed this other than Robert! It was not an easy repair by any means as the refrigerator needed to be taken apart. It is wonderful to see a professional who knows how to fix a complicated repair. On top of being an expert in his field, he was a nice guy. I also mentioned an oven & microwave that didn't shut properly and he could tell just by looking at it that the frames were not installed properly. I will get him out again to fix those items in the future. Galaxy is now my go-to appliance repair place! Many thanks Robert!
