The price was lower than their competitors, and they offered to do more! I will definitely use them again.  They also fixed a small electrical problem for free. And yes, they wore masks and booties.

Had these guys install recessed lighting in our living room. Our house is much older and before we had a lamp in the living room that would be used. However we wanted to upgrade it so we decided to install recessed lighting and it just makes everything look great. We have them as adjustable dimmers so that we can adjust the brightness of the room depending on the situation (if we were watching a movie we could dim it down, if we had guest over we could turn it fully bright on). I love this upgrade to the house cause it just makes it look modern and updated. GES came through and drilled the holes for the spots where I wanted the lighting in the ceiling, and ran the electricity there- it just turned out beautiful.

Mark gives the best & most personal service in the business. I took an RV there because the air conditioner kept overloading the electrical system. I called several other places and no one wanted to do the job -- they all kept saying it was someone else's responsibility. Mark took responsibility and kept working until he figured out the problem -- a week after I left the shop. He kept thinking about it all week and finally came up with an answer, and then called the RV manufacturer to confirm it. Then he called me back to let me know.

Mark's totally honest and he'll never rip you off. Really affordable rates too. And he took the job on short notice because we were on tour and had a tight schedule. Other places were telling me I had to schedule an appointment a month in advance.

Highly recommend this very efficient company! From the bidding to the work, everyone very professional and pricing reasonable.  Workmanship was very clean and the guys took great care to keep my house clean as they did the work.  I had them install several new outlets and electrical throughout my house, walls and ceilings and also garage.  Would definitely use them again!

He is able to work with me on my projects whether it is installing a new digital a/c thermometer, changing switches, installing a new pendant light, or replacing ceiling fans he is the man to go to.

Went through Home Advisors to find an electrician to cut in a new line and tie it to a box outdoors. Chris McWay from McWay Electric called and made an appointment to take a look and offer an estimate. He showed up on time, looked at the project in question, and quickly told me what would be required to take care of it completely. The price was right, I asked him if he could do it right then and he said he could. Thirty minutes later everything was done, cleaned up, functioning properly, and he was first class all the way through the job. I was very impressed with the job he did and the manner in which he presented himself.

James did an excellent work to solve a wiring issue in my condo. He showed up on time, he was very knowledgeable and the work was accurate and fast. Very professional. I highly recommend his services!

I had a horrible experience with this company, He came out to do an estimate for me.
Dave the owner gave me a decent estimate and we scheduled the work for the following week. He came recommended so I gave him a try. I was in need of ceiling fan installation and outside wall lighting. I also needed him to install J-boxes in two rooms. I changed my mind and wanted to save a little money and put the fans in myself. But still needed him to do everything else. He texted me that I just needed a handyman to do the wall cuts and wiring. Then I called him and said I didn't understand why he didn't want to do the rest of the job and he said, it wasn't worth it, because it was to far. He's in North Park, I'm in Poway. That's 30 minutes max. And continued to say he doesn't drive a beater car, his truck costs to much gas. Very unprofessional! His logo is No Job Is To Small! Hilarious. He has no people skills.

Came and fixed our outdoor lights. Was fast and efficient. Came on time and didn't waste time diagnosing and then fixing. Will use again.

Fast and furious!! called Lynden last night with an issue that left my 80 year old mother without power in her room addition built off of our house. He moved around his schedule and was here the next day. I have several dogs that I adore and am always worried about strangers coming to do work as they might let out my dogs...Lynden was super cool...very polite and quick! ANYTIME I need an electrician...I have found one now!

Ok, it was Super Bowl Sunday. My son lives in our condo and goes to a local college. Needless to say, when he called us and told us the power is out and it is just my unit we panicked. We are hundreds of miles away, and the HOA was useless to help us. I called 3 people all claiming to be open on a Sunday (did I say it was Super Bowl Sunday yet???). In any event, none of them answered the call for emergency service. Well, Ocean Electric did. When I explained the problem they were so helpful.

Over the phone, I explained the problem and he said have your son call me. Within 20 minutes, the power was on, and they did not charge us. I am not promoting taking a free service, but this company is now in my phone and is my go to electrician from this day forward. What amazing, caring people and I could not thank them enough. This is how you earn customers for life.

So as a worried parent whose back up plan was throw out everything in the refrigerator and get a hotel for the night to being back in business in minutes, the service and care was appreciated. 5 Stars all the way. Thank you Ocean Electric.

Ric did a fantastic job on a few new lights in our home. He communicated well prior to scheduling, confirmed the day ahead, arrived on time, and left the rooms he worked in cleaner than he found them!

His pricing was very reasonable given the quotes we received and he worked on a Saturday for us to get the job done sooner.

I was very impressed and we will be using him again soon.

These guys do great work but the customer service is even better.  I asked them to install a NEMA 14-50 outlet for my new Tesla Model X.  To make a long story short, there was a mix up on the day my outlet was to be installed.  I thought it was Thursday, they thought it was Friday.  I took the morning off and called their office when no one showed up on Thursday.  Their CEO, Dave Smith, personally dealt with my situation.  He pulled someone in my area off another job to come to my house on Thursday to make up for the confusion.  It's not a very common thing for a CEO to take responsibility for an individual customer's situation and, as a CEO, I really appreciate it.

As for all the other stuff, the work was perfect, the price reasonable, and the workers professional and friendly.  Can't ask for much more.  If you want great work and excellent customer service, Smith Electrical is for you.

From the beginning to the end of the project the entire team was friendly and professional . On my first call they had a satellite image of my house roof with a design of the panels! Anthony sent it over while we spoke and estimated the total price - I went with a 6.4 kw system - the price was great - I really did not have to do anything - even my HOA took the approval that was generated by the city. Then there is the install crew - coordinated by a man named Michael - he was great - the crew was awesome and they did not leave one piece of trash. Next came the city inspection with an approval of SDGE. Then a final review by a lady named Mariel. after I received an app where I see all the electricity I'm generating - it's a lot more than I use! I don't rent this system I own it! I made a point to write a review because I read the reviews before I called Anthony - I told him this - and he said to me - so it finally worked - lol -  Thank you family first Solar.

The prompt responses from William regarding a request for a quote were great and which got him the job.  He added a new exhaust fan and a recessed light over my washer and dryer.  The service and the work done was efficient, clean and he arrived on time!  He even called me before coming over to discuss the materials needed for the job and that they were to my satisfaction!

We needed an electrician the same day we called, and they were able to accommodate. They stayed in touch with us and were within the timeframe for arrival that they gave us. Everything was explained to us and a quote was given before the work was done. The electrical wiring at our new condo is a bit unusual and thus the explanation from Eric was very helpful and very clear.  When I asked questions about additional electrical issues, those were explained to me as well and he did not feel the additional work was necessary at this time. Also, they wore booties over their shoes and cleaned up anything they moved along the way. I highly recommend this electrician!

Rescheduled original appt at the last minute, which would have been fine. But then didn't show up to the rescheduled appt the next day. I messaged him on yelp after he was 10 min late to be sure he was coming and by the time he was 45 minutes late I still hadn't heard a single word from him. I stayed home from work and wasted my morning for nothing. Punctuality and communication are critical to me. I'd recommend anyone else.
