Mike from SPE was great to work with. I can't stress enough how professional and organized he was when dealing with my electrical issues at home. Everyone Deserves a Reliable Electrician

Rory Higgins is that reliable electrician. If I could only hire veterans, then I would! I have the highest respect for the veterans. They are patriots, honest, disciplined & reliable. Rory learned everything he knows in the Air Force where he was working on sensitive projects. Rory has been my electrician for a long time. He has had his business for 4 decades. He knows what the hell he is doing! He is not the type of contractor who puts Shiite on Shingles & does a Tijuana Style of patch job! He is detail oriented, trouble shooter & reasonable in cost.

This time around, I needed him to replace a sensor motion detector outdoor double light in the driveway, install a new double floodlight in the patio, create a new outdoor metal pipeline covered line to the floodlight, create a GFCI outdoor outlet & line to the BBQ island & outdoor refrigerator, create a separate outdoor GFCI outlet, switch & line to the outdoor lights in the patio (separate the lines to distribute the weight), uninstall an old rusted hanging outdoor light in the patio & cap, cup & cover the wires, also replace a couple of old outlets in my office. So, I waited for all of these electrical jobs to pileup & then I called him to schedule me.

Rory is a decent, softspoken good man. Right away he scheduled me as soon as he could which was pretty fast. He showed up in the morning & tackled all of these tasks, one by one until afternoon when he was done.

In the 90 Degree heat, I sat outside & watched him work for hours when I could easily go inside & allow him to be alone. He was already heat exhausted from his past 2 jobs in prior days. It was so hot that he used 2 fans to not overheat!

I observe my contractors for a few reasons:

I. To make sure they do not screw up my house.

II. To learn something from them.

III. To evaluate their work, so I can write accurate, informative reviews.

I hire a lot of contractors & I try to do my research, background check, BBB, licensing, consumer report & read reviews before hiring them, so primarily I do not end up with a lemon or worse, a contractor from hell! In addition, I do my contractor investigations, so you don't have to do it; therefore, when you read my reviews, you can hire the reliable contractors with a peace of mind.

What I notice about Rory is that:

A) He uses top notch material
He uses proper metal pipeline for outdoor & even indoor (read my last review when he done my garage), metal casing & reliable parts.

B) Right away he trouble-shoots the problem
Due to experience, he precisely or approximately pinpoints the problem right away. There was a short in my patio. Sometimes when it rained, the lights & the refrigerator in the island popped out & I had to reset the GFCI outlet in the kitchen where they were connected to, so they would pop back in & work after the rain. Rory took care of that issue by separating the lights & island lines & getting both of them off of the kitchen GFCI; however, as soon as he looked at the situation, he made a logical guess that the old rusted hanging outdoor light is more likely the root cause of the problem, so I told him to eliminate it. He took it off, trashed it & capped the wires & close cupped it.

C) He is detail oriented
Rory works fast but he takes his time to do a thorough job. Every single task which he does is done right. For instance, the way that he bends the pipe covers, connects the joints, silicones the connections, & comes up with ideas to secure the circuits.

D) He is honest
Rory always states that he does the job right, the first time, so he can go home with a clear conscience. He doesn't cut corners, makes sure the job is done right the first time & he primarily gives you an approximate estimate of the cost.

Rory done the job right, done it fast & gave me a special discount.

I usually come up with the best contractors in each field. I know Rory very well. He does super work with ethics & reasonable prices. He is a knowledgeable electrician with work ethics. He surely passed my perfectionist taste & test, many times over. Hiring him will not be regretful. Rory Higgins knows his job well.

Frank is the greatest! Competent, punctual, friendly and a pleasure to work with. He solved a variety of electrical issues at our house-two outdoor lights that had quit on us, moved our thermostat & added a new outdoor outlet. He happily went to great lengths to figure out an electrical problem caused by a previous contractor...all with a smile on his face! We would highly recommend him to anyone (and we do!) I did a search on Yelp to find an electrician that had great reviews and a quick response time.  I chose Romo at ER Electric and I'm very happy with my choice.  He showed up exactly on time to see what we needed and his guys were there the next day to fix the problems.  I would certainly use them again and would highly recommend them. Work was great and pricing was fair!  What more could you ask for?

Jose arrived on time and was respectful, professional and kept me updated every step. I had a small space heater that blew and caused my workout room and hallway lights to not work. After my handyman replaced the breaker it was recommended that i call and electrician. The cost was what he advertised and i would use him again and highly recommend to anyone looking for electrical work.

We need to install an electric pole in one of our offices. McWay electric was here and had a quote to me within 24 hours of contacting them. I am extremely pleased with my decision to go with Interwest Electric for a repair on my home. Dean replied to my original Yelp request within minutes, and called me in the morning to schedule an estimate for the work. He showed up to my house exactly on time, followed social distancing guidelines with a mask, and was able to give me a very fair quote and timeline. A few days later Dean and crew arrived on time and completed the job quickly and efficiently. They repaired an old weathered post on the roof that connected power lines to an addition on my home. Not only did they install a new pressure treated post, but they removed the old one and patched up the hole. I will definitely be using them in the future.

Quick and responsive. Hard to gauge on value these days, but they were professional and did a good job.

I called out Point Loma Electric because I was getting some flickering lights in my house. I explained to the technician I thought maybe the power tools from the construction next door might be the cause but was not sure. And really I didn't think it was possible. The technician told me to first call SDGE and have them come out and check the lines that come from the pole to my house.  The Technician didn't want to start trouble shooting, possibly find nothing and have to charge me. He also didn't charge me for him to come out which I was more than willing to pay.

 I took his awesome advice and had a SDGE linemen come over and check his lines. It turns out I had a bad connection from the pole into my house. SDGE fixed the problem and it did not cost me anything since it was on the SDGE side. But the Linemen did suggest to replace the mast and line that comes into my house because the line was of lower grade and the current installation is not as safe as it could be. My house was built in 1960.

I then turned around and called out Point Loma Electric and asked for a quote on the work. They gave me a competitive quote and I didn't bother to call anyone else because I trusted they could do a great job. I was not home when the technician finished I went and checked the work and it all looked good except for a few minor details. I called Point Loma Electric and explained my somewhat dissatisfaction. I was very happy on the more than gracious response and integrity to make sure I was 100% satisfied. They came out again and fixed it all and made sure I was 100% satisfied before they left.

Awesome job! A++ I absolutely recommend Luke and his team for any electrical job! Luke answered me on Yelp right away and was very communicative throughout the whole process. Came out the very next morning and completed the light installation in a timely manner. I will definitely contact LTE electrical for any future work!

Late on a Friday afternoon, I asked if they could come and check out an outlet for safety reasons.  With no hesitation, they came out within the hour and switched out the necessary parts. Their prices were even the cheapest out of everyone I requested quotes from. I definitely appreciate their customer service, professionalism, and work. I highly recommend them.

If you need an energy monitoring device like the Emporia (see photos) installed, Roddy and his apprentice Vito are your guys! Roddy had not installed one of these before but came prepared and had watched the installation videos. They were fast, efficient, knowledgeable, resourceful, they did a very clean job in the panel given the octopus of wires (see photos), and they were extermely friendly and overall great to work with!  if you are searching for an electrician, stop searching and call these guys right now, you won't be disappointed!

I just called Green Electric Solutions on a Sunday afternoon with a question about an electrical issue in my home. The person who answered the phone said he'd have an electrician call me back. A few minutes later I got a call from Joe, an electrician supervisor. He was extraordinarily knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. He talked through my electrical issue and thoroughly answered all my questions. I ultimately did not need an electrician for this issue, so I didn't actually hire Green Electric Solutions. But I can say based on my experience that Joe is definitely extremely patient, generous, honest, thorough, attentive, and friendly. Based on my limited experience, I'd recommend him without reservation to anyone looking for an electrician, and I'll hire him in the future if I need electrical work.
