I set up an appointment to have our HVAC serviced and was quoted $59.
On the day of appointment I received a call saying that they had other work that needed to be that was taking longer than expected and would need to reschedule ours, so we rescheduled.
On the day of the appointment the tech only performed a system check and the service would cost $129, or I could purchase a service contract.
Bait and switch!
I was so angry I sent the tech away and told him I would be using a different company moving forward.

Not super happy with this overall. Let me 1st state the teck was very cool and professional. Good guy to chat with.
Unhappy with it overall because our A/C is making a funny new noise which was my main reason for calling them out.
His basic answer was that everything is running within specs and nothing is broke. The system is working perfectly; However the noise is coming from the compressor and it's going out.
Me: AWESOME, can you guys fix that please?
Him: no, the system is old and mismatched and all we can do is replace everything for $10k+. Otherwise we're just band-aiding it.
To me that's like telling me, Hey your alternator is out on you car. We don't want to fix that for $300 so you should buy a new car from us for $10,000.
They came out here about 2 years ago and it was the same song and dance with the A/C and the water heater. Bot were too old and won't make it through this season.
Seems silly to me but I guess with larger companies like this they only have time and energy for large jobs.

I was having a tough time finding someone to fix my Midea Air-handler, as it is not a common brand of A/C. When I called 1800Plumber+Air, Ben answered the phone and listened to exactly what the issue was- he took down the model of my unit and actually talked through the repairs with his tech before sending him out. The other companies I called (Goettl and George Brazil)just have an answering service and they do not relay any important info to their techs, thus having them show up only to say they could not fix it or find parts.

Travis showed up and quickly fixed my A/C (needed a new control board) and only charged me half of what the others said a new board would cost if they could find one to fit my unit. I will never call anyone else again but these guys for plumbing and A/C!!!

The technicians name was James S. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. Previously we had another company to do the service on our unit, but they constantly pushed other services and warranty plans which I didn't appreciate. Thank you James S for your courteous and professional services. We will be requesting him in the future. I recommend this company over other heating and air companies.

Friday morning, just about to finish my shower and I go to shut off the water and the handle comes off in my hand. The water is still on full blast and it's hot as hell. I've got no way to shut it down. The top of the stem is still in the handle. It twisted right off.
I quickly dried off, through on some clothes, and headed out to the garage and shut off the hot water at the tank. Hot is off but still have a little cold running. Time to call a plumber.
I ask Google for a plumber in the Sun City West area. I get a bunch. Call the first...they can't come today. Call the second...cant get there till Monday. Third was Canyon State...She told me they could have a plumber there in two hours. Great, I said. Send him over.
He came on time, fixed the problem (it wasn't easy) in an hour and he was gone.
The availability was great, he was very professional, (knew what he was doing), and the price was reasonable. I couldn't have asked for more. I've never used them before but they will be my first call next time.

I have used AC by Jay for both services and one installation. I have used them on four different properties now. I have always been happy with their customer service, honesty and the skillset of the technicians. Most recently on 4/23/14, we had Manny Barceló perform an inspection of two ac units on a house we were looking to purchase. We were thrilled with the detail of his inspection and the very thorough report he put together for us. We will continue to count on AC by Jay for our properties and will definitely recommend them to others.

Some of the reviews im reading didnt even get service from them and the rest are hidden by some weird yelp algo. Theyre very responsive. Its hot in AZ they are trying their best. They dont deserve 1 stars because you had a a/c go out and you needed help right away.

I had a particularly bad experience with West Coast. Not because of the level of customer service - they respond very quickly to your calls. They are incredibly courteous. I am writing a poor review because of the low quality of work provided and what appears to me to be a lack of integrity in the bidding process.
They responded to our facility at a point when our air conditioning had shut down entirely - our front office was stifling. The prognoses they provided was poor at best - we had air conditioning units that had reached their last leg and would cost thousands to get operational. We had hours to commit to spending tens of thousands to replace our air conditioning units or risk having to wait.
We called some industry contacts to get a second opinion and realized that 1st the quote that we were being provided for new units was egregious. The competitive quote that we received was 40% (that is a 4 followed by a zero) lower to install the same equipment (a savings of over $6,000) if the units did in fact need to be replaced.
2nd - the technician that reviewed our units found that the real issue was poor air flow from a ten dollar filter, and a few minor repairs (saving us nearly $15,000 - and he guaranteed the work). His prognoses - our air conditioning units would last for years with simple yearly maintenance.
The most disturbing part of my experience with West Coast Plumbing was what appeared to me to be deliberate actions to force me to purchase new units instead of honestly servicing the units we have. Our main unit was iced up - air flow needed to be unrestricted (changing the filter) - they didn't check the air flow but instead just pulled the breaker out of the unit and left it unplugged - told me it would be thousands to fix it and that they couldn't guarantee the work. When the other tech came by he plugged it back in and the unit instantly started pumping cold air. Replaced the air filter, and what do you know we saved $8000.
In addition, on the same day that they came to our facility, a mysterious Yelp review shows up on the site from another yelper named Keith R. praising their services. I have asked Yelp to review this - when they do and notify me that the review is legitimate, I will modify this part of my review. Until then, my recommendation would be to go to a different company.

We had an Appt. On Saturday April 9, to have our Annual Air Conditioner tune-up, as we have since we moved into this house in 2016. Chas Roberts was the Company that installed the unit, and we have always called them to do the Annual check-up in the Spring. Chas Roberts has always done okay, sending a tech over to do the Routine Check-up. However, this year, a young guy by the name of Luis R., was the tech sent to do the Routine, Ho-Hum deed. Let me tell you, Luis was NOT your ordinary tech serviceman. First of all, he was scheduled to come on a Saturday. Supposed to show-up between 11:00am and 2:00pm. He called about 10:15 am and said he was 30 min. Away, would be there early, would that be okay he says. I appreciated the call, but also really appreciated the promptness, and getting to our house even earlier than he was scheduled to be. The thing that really sold me on this young guy was his politeness, his professionalism, and his thorough check-up, and analysis of our entire Air Conditioning unit, including the transfer unit up in our Attic, which required some second story climbing to perform. He gave me the most thorough, comprehensive review I've ever had on my entire system. He had all the numbers recorded to make sure I got accurate information, and explained the status of my system like no other Tech had ever done, and didn't waste my time or take advantage of me, by trying to sell me something or a service, that I had no idea if I really needed or not. He earned my Trust, and appreciation. I will ask for Luis R, EVERY time I call Chas Roberts, from now on. If Luis ever leaves Chas Roberts, I'll seek out his new employer or Business.
