This is long over due since he fixed our AC three weeks ago! We got a quote from Yelp for help when it was slowly getting warm and he came and fixed it that day. Also he was fair priced and on top of that he only fixed what was necessary and didn't pressure us to buy a new AC. He gave his opinion and said we should save for a new AC since it will last maybe another year. I appreciate the honesty and straightforwardness.

Northern Air Mechanical Services Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC
Paul was the technician that serviced our A/C for routine maintenance. He was prompt and I also received a courtesy phone call with ETA before he made his way over to our house which I GREATLY appreciated. He was very professional and explained the work he had completed and also the proposed preventative work he recommends we get done to ensure our unit lasts as long as possible before having to replace it. I recommend Northern Air Mechanical Services and will continue to use them for maintenance services and repairs if ever needed.

Hobaica Services Inc Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC
My earlier review was knee-jerk and unfair to Hobaica's Services.  I want to extend my heartfelt apology to Hobaica's in general, and to Andy Hobaica and to Chase C. in particular.  Chase, thank you for coming out this morning and talking me off the ledge.

You can't do any better than Hobaica's for residential HVAC service in the Valley. I've had Hobaica's install the last two comfort systems on my house.  The first one was in 2004 and the most recent one was August 2020. But I do want to issue a word of caution and it has nothing to do with Hobaica's.  If you have a home that has a traditional gas furnace or you have a gas-pack AC unit, be careful about moving to a heat pump for your home's heating needs. When we had our rooftop Trane gas pack unit replaced with a Bosch heat pump last August, we were blown away (no pun intended) by how quiet and efficient the Bosch AC unit is.  The summer energy savings are incredible.  However, now that we're in winter, I'm not as crazy about the Bosch unit because it has a difficult time keeping my house comfortable.  The unit is operating perfectly and Hobaica's is doing an excellent job of supporting it, but the bottom line is that a heat pump will never push out the kind of BTUs that a gas furnace can.  You know that nice, hot, blast you get when the funace fan turns on and you can feel it across the room? A heat pump just can't make that kind of heat.  You're also going to pay higher utility bills in the winter because a heat pump is quite a bit more expensive to run than a furnace.  I wish someone had explained that to me before I was talked into a heat pump.  However, Chase C. from Hobaica's made some adjustments to the thermostat config and he also suggested adding humidifers to help with the distribution of warm air in the house.  We'll give that a try.

Here's the bottom line for me on this issue: In Phx we need a decent home heater for, what, eight weeks out of the year. Perhaps I should just learn to throw on a sweater or a second pair of socks as the price to pay during those eight weeks for the awesome AC capabilities of the Bosch unit. Because, realistically, come next August when it's 106 degrees outside at2AM, I'm going to be comfortable as can be with my Bosch AC and I doubt I'll think much about being a little chilly in January.

And now I'd like to talk about Chase C. If he decides to leave the HVAC business, he could become a psychologist. He talked me off the ledge about how/why the heat pump was doing what it's doing. And then we managed to find a couple non-HVAC topics to talk about and, wow, Chase is a knowledgable chap! Thanks for spending part of your Friday morning with me, Chase!

REVIEWER'S ADVICE: If you're planning to move from a traditional gas furnace to a heat pump, make sure you've got double or triple pane windows in your house and it also isn't a bad idea to add more insulation to your attic and walls.  We did those items several years ago, so I hate to think how uncomfortable we'd be if we hadn't taken those steps.  If you have drafty old single pane windows, DO NOT consider installing a heat pump in your home. You'll be cold all winter.

Super prompt and honest. Derek was a life saver after our home warranty company left us with no A/C for two weeks. He immediately reached out to schedule a time. He was actually able to arrive before his estimated window of arrival. He diagnosed what was wrong and gave us our honest options rather than the run around we kept getting from other places. He fixed the issue right away which was amazing. I definitely recommend Derek and this company. Phenomenal service

I have a fairly new home, built less than 2 years ago, and my tankless water heater went out a few weeks ago. The company charged me for a part I didn't need that was still under warranty. It took two weeks for them to finally fix it and all it needed was an electronic master reset.

I reached out to ask about why they charged me for a part I didn't need and they said due to all the time they spent here and on the phone with tech support.

Here's the issue I hope you correct going forward so it doesn't impact future customers:

1) Your technician didn't spend more than 5 minutes here the first time. He didn't troubleshoot anything. I told him the code and what I looked up online that led me to calling you. He said yup that's it. Then he left.

2) Had he troubleshot the issue it could've been resolved that day and we wouldn't have been without hot water for two weeks. Also, this would've prevented the ordering of a part that was unnecessary.

3) The second technician said he's not a plumber, rather he's an HVAC guy. I think having the properly trained technician would have sped up the job, reducing time wasted on troubleshooting a master reset.

I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 because  I am thankful the last technician that came out was honest and was able to resolve it and get the water heater working.

Called several companies and just got busy signals, answering service, or no answer.  These people picked up the phone on the third ring.  Our AC unit went out overnight.  They dispatched technician the same day and had the repairs done in an hour.  The tech did a great job.

Their service techs have always been professional, on time and stand by their work.
However in their free service and inspections when you buy their plans, the upselling and costs for every tiny little thing in your house is a bit much and they do not lie when they say they are not cheap.
I will not be renewing my service plan.

Parker & Sons Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC
Beware. Parker and Sons runs commercials, heavily, when the temperature heats up here in the valley. They claim to get the job done right with no Melvins.... If you have a homeowners warranty and you call them for a repair on your air-conditioner beware that they may not respond in a timely manner or at all. I had a homeowners warranty and my warranty company called them to coordinate the repair. They said they would get it scheduled immediately and someone would contact me to schedule a visit, ASAP. I called the warranty company and Parker and Sons on a daily basis for over a week. This was back in June, 2012. Temperatures reached 94° in my home on a nightly basis and, knowing this, they still did not respond or schedule someone to come out. I Believe they did not respond because it was not a money maker for them since it was a warranties item which they were contracted for payment at a lower rate. After at least seven days of calling both my warranty company and them for action, I didn't know what to do and called my mother crying, hysterically. She couldn't believe the emotional state I was in and called to let them know that I was going crazy; they scheduled the repair. My AC motor needed replacing, which required a crane and they used that as the excuse for why it took 10 days. They couldn't have known that it would've required a crane because they didn't know my motor was out until they came out to check my AC after scheduling an appointment through my mother. As far as I'm concerned they do not deserve any kind of torch award from the Better Business Bureau because they allowed me to live in deadly heat for over a week before doing anything about the job that I had called on over 10 days prior. They never apologized; they only did the work required by the warranty. I am not one to post bad reviews but continue to see these commercials and I just need them to know that I suffered needlessly and had to pay for a hotel for three days so that I could live in an air-conditioned room after a week of living in 90+ temperatures. You should be honest about your Business practices and you haven't been so I thought I would post this for you.

Precision Air & Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC
WARNING: Do NOT use this company. I beg you to look at other options available to you.

BOTTOM LINE: If you love your children, pets, sanity, and sleep... DO NOT by any means use this company!!!! Please read on for details!!

6/21/2019 - Bought a brand new $10,000 AC unit (our old one was on the fritz and we have a 4 month old so we thought it would be a good idea to just replace it)

6/25/2019 - Brand new $10,000 AC unit is installed. Out of our house for 9+ hours, however this was to be expected. The installers kept saying 1 more hour for 3 hours in a row so that was frustrating. Later that night we noticed this brand new $10,000 AC unit was not cooling our house nearly as fast as our previous 17 year old unit.

7/2/2019 - Called Precision and asked them to come look at why it would taking 2+ hours to cool our house just 1 degree. I understand we live in a Phoenix and it's hot, but again our previous 17 year old unit cooled our house way faster. Some guy comes over for a few hours, works on some things and he's on his way. Says everything's good to go.

7/4/2019 - (3AM) AC goes out. Scrambling to get our 4 month old and 2 dogs out of the house and to a friends house. Keep in mind it's the 4th of July which we planned on spending with family and friends. We call Precision and they said they would have someone come out.

7/4/2019 - (9AM) Another guy comes over around 9AM and says the circuit board is blown. Says it's a holiday so they won't be able to get the parts until 7/5. Later that day the unit randomly started working again so we went home from where we were staying.

7/4/2019 - (11PM) AC is out again. We once again scramble to get our 4 month old out of bed and to a friends house. (of course she is an INFANT and was then up the majority of the night when normally she sleeps through the night)

7/5/2019 - (NOON!!!!!) Ok it took them until NOON to get this piece of equipment they needed to fix our AC. The technician told me when he picked up the piece that the one originally in our unit was 2 generations old!!! WAIT how is that possible since we just bought this $10,000 unit less than 2 weeks ago?!?!? And then he says if it stops working again, give us a call WOW!!! that sure gives me a lot of faith in this (not).

7/5/2019 (10:30PM) guess what folks! AC is out again!!!! Yep, our beautiful 4 month old baby and 2 elderly dogs are fast asleep and here we are again!! Scrambling trying to figure out what to do and where to go! Call Precision (btw it says they're open 24 hours but really they just have an answering service and you are at the mercy of them calling you back). They called back and said there are some other service calls ahead of ours but we are on the list. (that's great, it's only 80+ degrees in our house already, we'll just wait). I highly doubt and have ZERO faith in this company fixing our **BRAND NEW $10,000 AC UNIT**!!!
