Albert just left. Before he started work he quoted, 215 to $225 to take a snake machine onto the roof.
I approved. I thought he was quoting me a by-the-hour and that he would take about that long. No. 35 minutes later he is finished.
He brings the invoice in and says, $245. So my conclusion is: they charge more than $400 an hour.
This business needs to explicitly say, The job is quoted by the work to be done. We do NOT charge by the hour.

Simms said everything I wanted to hear the first time we spoke. Scheduled a time without a problem. Then did not show. We rescheduled and they made up an excuse to why they did not show. I needed the help and did not want to start this process again, so we continued with them. Since they would be coming to my unit I had to be friendly vs getting in an argument why they did not show and then having them in my place.
If zero stars was an option, I would give them minus. They were not cheap and they wasted my time which is even more important.
Once you know... we all have options and instead of going in to the details, I will just say beware, they are bad... don't use them. I should have looked here first

They do the work that is requested, but it is probably more difficult to find a plumber who cannot fix a broken item, so that is not saying much. It is very surprising in a time when people are looking for business, Simms appears to not be interested.

Our family is very thankful for Tod and Clovis Plumbing Services, and if you are ever in a similar spot, or just need to make improvements or additions for your plumbing needs, their expertise, thoroughness, and service are unparalleled. Highly recommended.
We were in a bad spot. The water heater had unceremoniously stopped working on a long weekend, and with two kids at home, going without hot water was not a luxury we could afford.
We called Tod, and he responded right away. He worked with us to find a solution that worked (again, on a long holiday weekend) and was there the next morning to do the install for us. Our job wasn't as simple as swapping out the water heater either, as we found there had been a considerable amount of mold growth. Tod took care of it, demolished everything he could safely, then got to work installing our new tankless heater.
Because we were going from a tank to tankless system, multiple lines needed to be moved, and with the wall still open in places to contain the mold growth, most would have simply fixed up a temporary solution. Tod found a way to get us permanently hooked up and still allow for drywall to be replaced after the mold was taken care of without disturbing our hot water.

I found John on yelp. I replaced my flooring with new floors and needed to have chair rails installed and paint. John came from Fresno all the way to Tulare and gave an estimate. It was fair and reasonable estimate. I hired him to do the job and he did a great job. The chair rail took longer than expected because of the rounded corners, but he made them work. He didn't cut any corners. He took his time and made sure every railing were perfectly aligned.
He was very courteous and on time. He worked throughout the day and only took limited break. He is very knowledgeable and takes pride of his work. I would definitely hire him again for additional work and projects. If you want a reliable, dependable and honest handyman, John is your man.

First and foremost the woman that answers the phone is incredibly rude. You don't even get to finish your sentence and she's already rudely telling you exactly what does not answer your question! That is annoying AF!
At any rate I called because the mainline was clogged. They were out two hours later and the plumber was kind, fast and careful not to tare up my concrete beyond what was absolutely needed. In fact, you can't tell he had to chip around the vent unless you really look. He cleaned up after himself and fixed the problem.
I had asked him for a quote on a different issue and he kind of acted like he didn't want to be bothered by it. No biggie since I figured he was going off to another call. He did let me know that it would be quite an ordeal though. So, I was okay with that, just surprised they didn't want more business.
He then took my credit card info and handed me a receipt. As I recall he called the number into the office so I figured it was being charged. No worries.
Eleven days later I received a bill. I called the office and the rude lady answered the phone again and no surprise she was rude. Her attitude is very much it is what it is rather than trying to u sweat and the customer and be polite. She cut me off before I could ask the question regarding the billing then said, oh wait. You haven't been charged yet. So... you took my credit card, called the number in but never charged it? Lame. She then explained that it takes one to two weeks. Then she said a week. I told her they need to communicate that to people she cut me off again and said they do.
Clearly they don't or I wouldn't have called when I received the bill.
Bringing me to my next issue that attempted to ask and was cut off.... if you aren't billing for two weeks but sending out bills in the meantime... how many people just send checks the turn around and have their cards charged as well thus paying twice? She cut me off again with that oh well attitude to the point I just stopped trying and hung up.
Just be forewarned in those odd ball things but the guy that came out got the job done. Also the quote she gave me and what was actually charged were different. She indicated a simple clog was 125 and I was charged a bit more as I recall. The tech said he didn't find any instructions just like build up. I'm assuming the extra was maybe for the work of having to chisels the vent. No worries. Techs seem good the receptionist needs some remedial people skills. Woulda been another star or so but the lady was just too dang rude.

Second time using allbritten, and second FAIL! They're always trying to upsale things you don't need.
Allbritten charge you $89 for a diagnosis fee whether they figure out your issue or not.
The tech came out, checked on the unit because my heat wasn't working. He couldn't figure it out. At first he blamed the breaker. And he got on the roof checked out the unit claims that it was the transformer And the motherboard. Told me they both need replacing. I okayed it he was already cutting wires. About $1000 in repairs Came back down, let's say 20 minutes later. Says to me, need to double check your breaker again a different way. Checks it, and then tells me yeah your breaker is out you need to call electrician. Charges me the $89. And so I called an electrician, he comes out says Albritton is full of shit your breaker is great it's old but it works. He then goes onto my roof check the unit, check the breakers on the unit, on the roof. Said they work perfectly. And then presses the manual switch button on the unit, and my unit kicks back on! Boom, works again. I called a second HVAC guy to come out and maintenance and double check my unit because the electrician said there was arcing and burn marks on my unit. Second guy comes out checked my unit, maintenances it and he told me that by looking at it, what probably happened was when allBritton was up there they probably tripped the breaker, the unit probably died and he couldn't get it back up and running, came back down, check the breaker and blamed it on the breaker. So now I'm out $89 for Albritton, I'm out money for the electrician and Also had to pay the second HVAC guy his fee as well. All because Albritton tech Are inexperience. They miss diagnosed my unit, and I'm in the whole for trusting a company that obviously just using good at what they're doing. You could've just been honest and said I have no idea what's wrong with it and not charge me the fee I just left. I would've been OK. Will I ever see my $89 probably not. Allbritten I deserve a refund!
