I had an ancient boiler for baseboard heat & domestic hot water heater. Both at least 27 years old, really!
Before catastrophic failure, I requested 4 bids from HVAC plumbers. Of the four , 3 submitted bids; 1 suspiciously low & 1 really high & one in the expected range. Only Baker Plumbing sent the actual plumber to do the bid. That is Steven Baker himself. He arrived at the time agreed upon, asked the right questions & got an itemized bid back in 1 day. Work started on time and finished when anticipated. He came in on target with no overcharges. He explained fully & helped getting tech info for custom settings.
Steven Baker plumbing is highly recommended.

Today Donner Plumbing & Heating sent Juan to our home. He was here at the time promised, thank you, and installed a new kitchen faucet we provided. I anticipated the install would take an hour and a half, he finished 45 minutes after he arrived!!! Thrilled with the install and the respect Juan showed during the install, protecting our counters and adhering to social distancing and wearing a mask the entire time he was in our home. This is a great plumber and we will be using them in the future for our plumbing needs. Thank you Juan and Donner Plumbing.

I was without Hot Water for 2 days after my Hot Water Heater stopped working for reasons unknown but still had cold water available. I purchased a new Water Heater for that reason and scheduled Louie & Son to remove the old one and install the new one on Saturday 5-13-2023. A half inch copper pipe going to a drain was blocking the removal of the old water heater. I asked Louie what that pipe was for and he didn't know. The water and gas valves were shut off at the water heater as Louie removed that pipe which resulted in high pressure water to be sprayed all over the area, wetting everything. Louie asked me to shut off the main water valve in the house while he tried to stop the flow of water upstairs. I ran downstairs and truned off the water at the main shut off valve in the utility room. There was no way to dry up all the water at that time so Louie & son removed and replaced the water heater. Louie then asked me to turn the water back on at the valve downstairs to fill the new water heater. That is when I found out that the Gate Valve downstairs was stuck in the closed position and the water could not be turned back on. I then asked Louie if he could replace the valve with a new ball valve. He said that he could but he would have to come back the next day because he had other jobs to go to. He said that he would come back first thing in the morning to fix everything. I paid him in full for replacing the water heater even though the heater vent was not connected with screws and the drain pan was not lined up with the drain opening. So he left the house in a mess with the old water heater in the back yard and us with no water at all. The next day Louie did not show up as promised so after waiting for two hours I gave him a call only to get an answering machine saying leave a message, so I did. After getting no response, I called him again. This time he answered and said he sent me a text message. The text message was sent to my land line and I told him that I didn't get it. He then said that he could not talk now but would call me back later. Instead of calling me back he sent a text message to my cell phone saying he was at the hospital with his mother who had a stroke and I should get someone else to replace the main shut off valve at my house. I don't know if his excuse was true or not but he should have sent some else to finish the job if he could not. The bottom line is this. I was left with no water for 3 days, a big mess to clean up, an old water heater to get rid of and a shut off valve to replace plus having to complete the installation of the new water heater. I would not recommend Louie & son to anyone I know.

Great response time! I had a hot water leak and I knew my hot water tank had finally kicked the bucket. I was given a time frame for when Preston would arrive and he called early and asked if he could swing by. I was really worried about the leak so I was relieved to have him come early. He was very professional and showed me where the leak was coming from and what was wrong with it. He recommended a new one which I agreed with. I asked nervously when he could return to replace the tank and to my relief he said he would be able to get it done that day. I know have blissful hot water. I'm so relieved and thankful. Thanks Preston!

Often we write reviews only when we want to complain. This company was excellent. They came when they said they would, they were courteous and careful, and best of all they knew what they were doing. I recommend Antonio's without reservation. They put in a new air conditioning system. They weren't the lowest or the highest estimate. They were in the middle and they did a fine job.

Prompt response to Request for Estimate, scheduled for a Mon a.m. repair, even though it was a holiday (Memorial Day), completed repair in less than 2hrs, and stuck to the estimate that had been provided. Was advised by Tech that I would be notified via email with invoice; received email same day advising that IF I didn't pay by end of day, there'd be penalty charge -- would have been nice to have understood that up front ... but, all in all, will use again in the future.

Ten days since they were supposed to come, my heater is still not fixed. To make matters much worse, I can never get a straight answer about what is going on or when they are going to come back. They have stood me up five times. What a nightmare.

We've used Roadrunner for 2 plumbing/heating repairs and had excellent results. Have come exactly when scheduled and been very friendly. Rate of almost $100/hr seems very high to me, but probably normal for Santa Fe at this time.

Very impressed with these folks - a nice Ma/Pa shop that charged me only 1/10th of another company who quoted me. Very professional, wore masks, showed up when they said they would.

As a general contractor I have dealt with many subcontractors over the years. As the saying goes, It takes all kinds. One that I have stayed with since 2004 is Kyde Crawford, of Redline Mechanical. Kyde and his crews have plumbed eight custom homes for me. The quality of
their work has been consistent and outstanding. This company stands behind its work. In
2015 Redline plumbed a 5 bedroom custom home for me. Due to a manufacturing flaw, all
the hot and cold water cut-off valves had to be replaced. The matter was in litigation with no resolution imminent. Nonetheless, Kyde came out and replaced every one of my valves at no charge and with an excellent attitude.
If you are looking for an experienced plumbing contractor who will not short-cut quality and
who will stand behind his work, you owe it to yourself to consider Redline mechanical.

I called my home warranty company HWA to report that my evaporative cooler wasn't working and they assigned me to Ashcraft Mechanical. After performing a quick Google search for the company and saw the sole review they had, which was on Yelp with 1 star. To say the least I wasn't too enthusiastic about using them and decided to call the home warranty company to have another company assigned to assist us.
After 4 days of waiting for HWA to find another company we decided to use Ashcraft despite the review. During their first visit to evaluate the problem, the techs were on time, polite and very efficient. They told us the problem with the cooler and the it would require replacement as it wasn't worth it to fix. By this time we had been dealing with the high heat outside and it was even hotter in our house. The tech managed to do what I couldn't do, get the cooler to limp along and provide some cooling while they did the quote and submitted it to HWA. HWA sat on the quote for a few days and after repeated calls the quote was approved and we called Ashcraft late Thursday to let them know as they had been calling HWA also. Their office staff was incredibly polite and said they needed to confirm and would call us back. In less than 5 minutes they called us back and asked if we would be home the next day, which was a Friday. The techs showed up around noon and in less than an hour and a half they removed the old cooler and installed the new one and had it up and running.
I know the other review used HWA also, and felt that Ashcraft was the cause of the issues they experienced. But in my family's experience, it was HWA that caused the delays and issues not Ashcraft Mechanical. I would highly recommend Ashcraft to anyone, while advising those same people to stay away from HWA.

Like so many who've left reviews, sadly I must add my own extremely unfortunate experience. I was extremely over-charged. Because the technician arrived early, I was grossly overcharged by the company; they made me pay an extra $160 for the tech to drive back to albuquerque instead of waiting. When I called to request a refund management said that it was my fault for not contacting them right away.
As someone who know little about plumbing and business practices of plumbers, I felt that I had no choice regarding my bill. These people have violated my trust in the industry.
I implore anyone who reads this DO NOT TRUST A1 PLUMBING as they will rip you off by any means that they can.

Our neighbor this week had a leak from the main water line (fortunately it was outside). We suggested Valdez Brothers Plumbing and Heating because we have heard nothing but good things about them and they just recently replumbed two of our friends houses and did a awesome job. Since our neighbors and us have the meters located in the same spot at the street we thought we would get ours done too. We already had our inside of the house repiped (because of the awful polybutylene). I called them Wednesday morning, they were digging and cutting an area on the driveway, by noon, had the whole main pipe from the street to the house installed and were out of here by 6:00 on our house and our neighbors. Then today at noon they came finished the drywall and textured and were finished by 3:00 on both houses (plus they clean up after themselves). Don't have to worry about covering things with plastic because it makes dust when they cut the drywall, they do it for you and cover the floors where they track in. They are the best and all of their workers are professional and courteous. Two of the plumbers are father and son (awesome) and the dry wall man, Rene Anaya brought his young son to help him today because he was on spring break. What a team. Mr. Anaya is the best!! If you need plumbing you must call Valdez Brothers you won't be sorry.

The worst plumbing company in ABQ. SINGLE WOMEN BEWARE!!! Had an Apt. scheduled since begin of September to fix a leak. AB came out on 3 separate occasions. NO SHOWED to their final 4 apt. to fix the original issue. 3rd apt. Art the owner said he would be out to completely fix the issue with the leak, TOOK THE DAY OFF and scheduled the water to be turn off with my condo's property management. The morning of, I called they said they were busy and would not be able to come until between 3-5. 6pm came and still no AB. When I called to ask when they would be coming I was told I don't know, they are busy. 3rd time, came out to repair leak but put the job off to turn on heat instead. Told me that my furnace would need to be replaced and that they do not make furnaces anymore so I would need to switch out my swamp cooler to central air. BS!!!!! 2nd time out, called because the leak that was scheduled for them to fix became worse and water was poring out of the wall on a Sunday at 10pm arrived at 12am. I told the tech where the water shut off was ( in neighbor's garage) Instead of listening to me he begin going through upstairs rooms. My sister was in her room with both doors shut unaware that they had arrived and was changing. The tech without knocking entered into her room while she was naked stood there then walked out. She started screaming at him, he came down the stair and quickly capped the leak off and left. The next day my sister called the office to have them document the incident as she felt very violated. The office woman told her that the tech was upset and it was her fault. My sister asked her to please remind her techs that when doors are closed to knock, she again was blamed for the incident. I called Art and he was very attentive to our concerns regarding what had happen to my sister and reassured me that he would personally work on our leak to keep us as customers. So we had them out again giving this company the benefit of the doubt. BIG Mistake... If you are a single female be careful of this company. They have no respect for their client's time or privacy and will try to take advantage on more then a financial level.
