A-1 Sewer & Drain

Joe from A-1 did an amazing job. He cleaned & cleared a blocked sewer/sump pump. Didn't spill one drop on our carpet. Company told us when he would be here, and then called an hour early to say he was running late.

On a Saturday. No extra charge.

Terrible!!! They came to my house after hours because I need it done! One man job to put a snake on the main line. He got the snake stuck and 3hours later told me he couldn't resolve the issue! I let the company know $350 later that this should not happen. They said: the snake is being fixed, good luck resolving your problem! Don't call them....

We had A-1 do two home sewer inspections. Both reports were detailed and included video. We were so impressed and appreciated the expertise!

Called and got a plumber within 2 hours. He fixed my water line leak in the front yard within 1 hour on my 50 Plus water line. I had dug it up, before his arrival. Most others could get here till next week or wanted $300 for after hours repair services.

Had a badly clogged toilet- called a few plumbers but no one called back- got right thru to A1 and they had Keith out literally within 20 minutes! He was friendly, polite, and efficient! He had the problem fixed within another 20 minutes.
A huge bonus is that A1 does NOT charge extra to come to the East Mountains as most Albq. businesses do (even tho' it's an easier, prettier drive than thru Rio Rancho!), which is wonderful!
We will definitely be using them for any needed work in the future and recommend them without reservation!

Called them to clear a clogged kitchen sink drain and they came out the same day and took care of it.

Had a main sewer line blockage late on a Friday, nothing draining. arranged for 1st thing Saturday. Joe showed up bright and early . He started quickly snaking the drain and got blocked about 80' out. I went into the house and had lots of noise in the furthest bathroom . I told Joe about this at which point joe determined the cleanouts we were using where installed backwards and not pointing towards the street. After a bit of searching we located an older cleanout that was going the right direction. Joe moved all the Equipment and started again at 188 ' it hit the blockage and it cleared!! Joe worked his tail off and still had a great attitude .Vicky the dispatcher was also very pleasant to deal with. I will use A-1 again and recommend them to friends. Thanks Joe and Vicky

These guys are great. We discovered that our 20+ year old home had clean out valves that were not put in correctly when the home was built. John and Joe had to dig up a significant part of our yard but they were able to fix all the problems and were great at explaining to us exactly what was wrong and what needed to be done. After the repairs were completed they put the yard back together amazingly well. They were very friendly and professional. The company responds quickly and we would definitely recommend them.

Needed a sewer line inspection for my house, and A1 quoted $125 to provide a report and video. They came out started the service and were not able to inspect the whole line, so they recommended installing a cleanout. After a quote was requested, their estimate sounded very high. On top of that they charged me for the incomplete inspection with a fee for trying to inspect from the roof (the other end of the line) and they wanted to charge the inspection fee again after they completed the install of the cleanout. Something was wrong, so I requested quotes from 3-4 other companies, and 2 came back with half of A1's estimate and the other 2 were forty percent less. The bottom line is when you need plumbing work, yes it's an expensive service, but you want to find a plumber that is honest. A1 is not that, so just stay away.

We had an issue with our spare toilet. The toilet would backup into the bathtub. We called these guys and they came out. Nice guy originally, who fixed the toilet. I say fixed because later that night (after hours of course) the master bath backed up. We flushed the spare toilet, and it backed up into the master bath. So now we are down both bathrooms. I call A1 back, the lady informed me that she could wave the earlier charge, but now will have to charge me after hour fees! I asked why the charge when the original problem has not been fixed. She raised her voice with me after that, and kept talking over me. When I asked her to not get an attitude with me, or I can call another company, she hung up on me.
So, never the less, I am now calling TLC Plumbing. Let's hope they can fix this!!!
Update: TLC fixed all issues.

This is comedy. A1 plumbing just called saying there is an outstanding fee for $95. I explained what happened and said the fee should be dropped for services not rendered. She put me on hold to talk with the manager. Came back online, said the fee will be zeroed out and promptly hung up on me! At least they are consistent with being rude in multiple departments...

First, their phone # is 343-1030. Looks like it was submitted incorrectly in the profile. We had Tim from A-1 come to our home on 12/8/14. Our lines were clogged with roots and we couldn't use the toilet, shower, etc. we called them around 10am in the morning, and Tim arrived by 2pm. He was friendly, courteous, and efficient. He had the work done within the minimum first hour, so there weren't any extra charges. He was whistling and humming the whole time he worked! Once he finished clearing our pipes he gave us detailed notes about how far out he found obstructions so that we could track the problem. Then he also gave us advice on which products we could use to limit root growth in the future. The charge was half what I had been quoted by multiple other companies, and we got same-day service. As a local business owner myself, I really appreciated the great customer service, efficient and competent work, and fair pricing. Bam!

Absolutely horrible service!!!! Had to have the septic snaked 3 times in 45 days. Nothing is under warranty with them. When speaking to the manager Otto he states that all work is done by an educated guess. Sounds to me like they take advantage of consumers by their educated guesses not knowing what they're really doing and have no problem taking the money. Would not recommend to anyone!!!!

Like so many who've left reviews, sadly I must add my own extremely unfortunate experience. I was extremely over-charged. Because the technician arrived early, I was grossly overcharged by the company; they made me pay an extra $160 for the tech to drive back to albuquerque instead of waiting. When I  called to request a refund management said that it was my fault for not contacting them right away.
As someone who know little about plumbing and business practices of plumbers, I felt that I had no choice regarding my bill. These people have violated my trust in the industry.
I implore anyone who reads this DO NOT TRUST A1 PLUMBING as they will rip you off by any means that they can.

A1 put a new septic system in the house I bought about 4 years ago. The system is 5 years old I think. A1 plumbing are the ones who inspected the system before I bought the house. The system has leaked water since I bought the house.  It's leaking between the tanks and the leach field. They have come out twice to fix the problem.  Now they want to charge me hourly to fix it.  

Richard the tech dropped his phone in my septic system (karma) and price bated me twice. Told me one price for a pump.  But only had the more expensive one in his van.   Twice!!

At first I was happy with A1.  But they slowly changed my mind.
