Polite and professional company. Kurston was right on time and found our problem quickly and fixed it. We like them so much we are getting them to maintenance our system yearly.
This company has one thing above all other companies. COMMUNICATION! At all times either Richard was in communication with me from the home office (great guy, did a good job of providing levity to an otherwise bleak situation, I appreciate his approach to the situations). Or Chance, the technician who actually fixed my situation. BOTH OF THEM were always there on the phone with me letting me know what was happening, where, and why. -At no point was I in the dark about what was happening with my solar system. These guys were on it and I knew as much as they did, when then did. There were problems. And they got fixed. I'm as content as a customer can be.
We had a lot problems with a Rheem a/c. #1 plumbing was persistent in trying to fix it and eventually worked with the manufacturer to completely replace the unit. Corey and Rick worked repeatedly to find the problem, and were excellent in their customer service.. My opinion was that Rheem was very poor in their tech support for the plumbers.
Cory did a great job. He correctly diagnosed the problem and now my mini split units are whisper quiet. He is polite and professional.

What a great experience from start to finish. Richard who answered the phone and set the appointment was so nice and informative and even called mid day to give us advanced notice of a delay. Moses, was a great plumber who also kept me up to date on his arrival time and had me send pictures of our plumbing problem so he could get a good understanding of what kind of special supplies would be needed for the work. When he got here he was professional and creative and solved our issue solidly. He knows his stuff. He also was kind enough to give us tips for the future of our plumbing needs. All around a great experience with this company!
Many days ago I called and had a plumber come over and check out the plumbing problem. The plumber says okay I got all the information my company will contact you with an estimate. I wait a day and call and someone answers: the person became upset when I asked when would I receive an estimate for the work I would like to have done. The person says Hey I'm in the dark about your estimate I don't k ow what's going on here I'm in the dark. So I explain to him a plumber came over and said there would be an estimate emailed to me or someone would call me. Then the person says we'll you'll need to wait like others. The person was totally pissed I called and asked literally asked if I could be a customer if I could please spend my money there. So as expected nobody called me back and I did not receive an email. It might be my last name that I have that turned the person off at Number One Plumbing. Maybe
OMG! I can not believe this place. It's sunday and the wall switch to my swamp cooler is broken. It almost 100 degrees yesterday and I don't want to go through another hot day. It just needs to be replaced and the dude that I spoke with on the phone, Mike, said it would cost me $600 for them to come out and fix it! What a jerk. I will not ever recommend them or call them again.

I can't say enough good things about this company, their staff and the quality of work. We had our entire HVAC system replaced. David came out and surveyed our home for the estimate. Gave me a few options. We scheduled the install. Cory and his crew were the most thorough I have seen in a long time. Very detail oriented and precise. These guys were so awesome. I was tired of waiting for over a week for my warranty company to fix my plumbing so I called these guys. They were out in 2 hours and fixed my plumbing within 20 minutes. They were very reasonably priced and very customer orientated. Very clean and friendly and definately know what they are doing
John showed up exactly on time, with his covid mask and set to work. He made an evaluation of our problem, gave us an estimate of cost and with our agreement began work. He treated our home as his own, even cleaning the area before he left. I was very pleased with this company and with their representative John.

Our toilet was backed up so i called Number One Plumbing. My gosh they have a 4.9 rating on a couple of sites.
They sent a plumber who ran an auger in my toilet. Which did nothing. Then i let him know sometimes the plumbers i had before would run a thing into the clean outs outside. Well he did not have that equipment. My toilet was not fixed he left. I emailed the company. Not real happy. I asked that management call me back.
I received a call from David who was very nice and sent out another plumber. He ran that thing through the clean out towards the house. Walked into my bathroom turned on the sink and said the water is running fine in the sink and since its not backing up into your sink, its your toilet. Its old you need a new toilet.
Why didn't he run the water in the sink first before running that thing into the clean out towards the house? Why didn't he run that thing into the other clean out towards the street?
After speaking with David and explaining the situation. I do feel he is honest. I don't know if I just ended up with the wrong people or what happened but because of the way the situation was handled I would definitely recommend this company.
But I definitely would say to explain your situation to the person that you're trying to make the appointment with in great detail so that they send out the correct person with the right equipment. they have people that do electrical,people that do plumbing, and there's different people for different things so just be clear in what you need.

We've been using Number 1 Plumbing for years and they have always done a great job. They have always been on time and efficient. Nick was here yesterday to winterize the heating system and replace some of the boiler parts that were causing problems. I will continue using them in the future.

I purchased my home a year and a half ago and I have called Number One Plumbing twice in that time to service my a/c unit last summer and then to check my gas fireplace last month. I am always amazed at the level of customer service I receive from the technicians. Not only does the job get done, but I didn't have to wait for a month out appointment and the jobs gets explained to me. I purchased a maintenance agreement because I have trusted the service and the technicians- thanks Kurston! I highly recommend this company.

Our expansion tank developed a pinhole leak which sprayed water onto and made a hole in our drywall, which hit the 2x4 behind it and guided the water up behind the ceiling drywall.
I turned off the water to the house and called a few plumbers the next day. Number One Plumbing responded right away and I scheduled someone to come out the next day. I sent the picture of our expansion tank and he said the plumbers would come out with the correct tank to replace ours with.
The plumbers, Scott and Scottie (no relation) came out on time and I received a text about 30 min before their arrival, just as I asked. They were courteous and professional. They took one look at our tank and said they didn't have the correct size. What they had was about half the size of what I needed. There was no mention of getting any picture from the scheduler. They ended up driving back to their supplier and came back with the correct size. This took about 50 min. Once they had the correct tank, the replacement was quick.
They turned the water back on and made sure there were no leaks before leaving.
Overall, the plumbers were excellent, made me feel at ease (I was home alone and live in a rural area) and were efficient. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five is that the scheduler did not forward the picture of our tank to them so they could have brought the correct sized tank. I would definitely use them again, but will double check that whatever the scheduler says is actually done.

Number One is my go-to. The main office scheduling is always so responsive. The technicians always show up on time, let us know when they are on their way, and fix the issue. Over the years, all the Number One reps I've worked with are friendly. In one case, the issue came back and they sent another rep out to fix it. They're not cheap, but you get quality service, unlike some other places where you get rookies who are just calling back to the main office to get tips on every step of the process.
I have used #1 Plumbing, A/C, Solar, & Electric for several years for everything from installing a new AC unit, repairing & replacing an outdoor leaking copper pipe/valve, & annual service of both A/C & floor gas heaters. I have heard stories of people using private contractors & having disastrous results. That has never been the case with #1. They send technicians that are 100% qualified & who are extremely professional & efficient. Richard, who is the primary person I speak with on the phone, is extremely knowledgeable and is able to explain technical details to me in terms that I can understand. They nailed it again!! Done right the first time honesty and integrity again this company is consistently honest and follows through. They're having to come out and fix other people's jobs that were not done right wish I would have found this company years ago. If you want to company with old school values and have honesty Integrity this is the company for you they're all very skilled and honest and very fast and efficient I just love my technician Josh very fast very efficient.. this time they had to repair the water heater vent pipe they've taken care of my sewer line issues and they have taken care of my swamp cooler issues and now they're taking care of my water heater issues. Great response time! I had a hot water leak and I knew my hot water tank had finally kicked the bucket. I was given a time frame for when Preston would arrive and he called early and asked if he could swing by. I was really worried about the leak so I was relieved to have him come early. He was very professional and showed me where the leak was coming from and what was wrong with it. He recommended a new one which I agreed with. I asked nervously when he could return to replace the tank and to my relief he said he would be able to get it done that day. I know have blissful hot water. I'm so relieved and thankful. David and his crew are fantastic. I recently bought a house where the AC and thermostat were having issues, so I had them come out to diagnose it. I ended up having them replace the old furnace and they did a stellar job. During the installation, they found a number of items that the home inspector didn't, some pretty major, and fixed them all. They didn't ask for extra money, and I wasn't charged for the visits prior to the installation to troubleshoot the thermostat or AC unit, and for a minor electrical job.
And I had asked about replacing the water heater too at the same time, but David convinced me I didn't need to instead of taking my money.
I highly recommend them.
Kurston showed up right on time to winterize our air conditioner. He made sure heater was working efficiently, carbon monoxide text as well. I appreciate the time he took to look at couple of other items in need of repair while here, answered all my questions. I've been calling on these guys for years and they never disappoint. A+ Plumbing installed our three Heil AC units last month. We have the Honeywell wifi controllers. One of them lost connectivity and had to be re-linked. I've read this my continue to be an issue with the controllers. We shall see. Regardless, they came out quickly and fixed the issue. Ivan is always courteous, efficient and reliable.

I decided to try #1 Plumbing after a couple incidents in which the plumbing contractor I had worked with for many years gave me extremely high repair estimates. Owing to a cancellation, #1 Plumbing was able to send Moses out within hours of my call, even though my issue was not an emergency. Moses looked at the situation with my faulty faucet, ran a few quick tests to confirm his initial analysis, and gave me an estimate to replace the faucet. In the process Moses debunked a theory I related about why the faucet had failed (which had been told to me by my old plumber, probably to justify a more costly repair) and suggested a different probable cause. In the end I decided I could do the replacement on my own, which took me less than an hour to accomplish, saving me a considerable amount of money. The money I paid #1 Plumbing for the short service call was well worth it. I would happily call #1 Plumbing again for other MEP needs.

Buyer beware. Outrageously expensive and do not guarantee their work. They charged me $413 to unclog a bathroom sink. They removed the p trap and snaked it approximately 15 feet. Then it was clogged two weeks later.
When I questioned them on their outrageous prices, they compared themselves to doctors and that they charge a flat rate no matter how long it takes. Two weeks later, the drain is still clogged and no reply from them. You've been warned.

Update: after about a week of being told I'm the problem by their staff, Kyle decided it would be in their best interest to come back and fix the problem they should have fixed in the first place. Probably due to the fact my 1-star review shows up on Yelp because I use Yelp. As intended.
Helpful Hint: Breaking something in the midst of a repair, and then claiming it's just old parts without actually going back to the store to get new parts, is simply bad customer service. Telling the client for a week that they have to pay the bill since the work requested was completed is astonishing. You can't consider a job complete when you break more things in the process of the job. It was a 20 mins fix, a week later, by someone on their staff who actually knows what they are doing.
I'm leaving a revised 2 star review as Kyle made it right and so I paid my bill. The lack of a better review is simply from poor customer service -- he should reconsider who answers complaint emails. The person answering them is so far from customer service that it's laughable. Should be glad I paid at all.
Makes me wonder how many people they bully into paying for a half-a**ed job and degrade into paying the bill.
I would say I won't use them again but honestly, all the plumbers in ABQ suck. So what difference does it make? Anyone want to start a new business and solve this poor plumber problem in ABQ, let me know. Can't be any worse than what's already here.

Asked for my shower to be snaked due to a slow drain. After 4.5 hours, the tech tried to hand me a $300 bill and a broken sink. Why he snaked the sink and not the shower: don't know. Why he thinks I owe him money for breaking my sink: don't know.
Had to get the master cool realigned on the duct. They were able to replace and seal the flashing . They came early and did a great job for the price.

Corey was fantastic. He let us know when he was coming. He got here and went right to work cleaning all the filters for all of our HVAC systems and even noticing issues that I wasn't aware of which he completely remedied.
I highly recommend Corey and #1 electric for their conscientious and thorough work.
Been having issues w my Solar not properly reading. Got a hold of Chance at Number 1. He came out to the house, made some connections and even set it up to notify me if it quits working. Can't say enough about his workmanship, honesty and professionalism. Chance is definitely #1
i don't write Reviews, but in this case I need to too. This company are unprofessional and extremely over charge. They do terrible work and unfinished blame the work to rusty pipes when they are PVC. This tells me they don't know what they do.
I have request a call from a supervisor and is been over a week and nothing.
They should change their name from Number 1 Plumbing to Number Zero Plumbing.
These guys were great! They came checked out our issue, explained to us what the cost was and what they were going to have to do. They wore masks, answered questions, and were very polite and professional. We will definitely reach out to them the next time we have any plumbing issues.
Kurston helped me troubleshoot via phone and when that didn't work, came at 9:30pm to crawl under the house and troubleshoot himself. Excellent service, honest, and helpful. Thanks!

They showed up on 1/12/21 to give an estimate fora hvac system. He had to access the crawl space in our upstairs and in doing so dropped the cover down the crawl space which landed in the ceiling of our downstairs bathroom making a hole in our ceiling. The owner was made aware and did not contact us for repairs until I called the company multiple times. When the repair person finally came to fix our Sheetrock, I told him I thought I had the right paint color but I wasn't sure since it had not been opened since I moved in. When he painted the ceiling it was obviously the wrong color paint as my ceiling is white and the color was a dark yellow tan. he said he would call me to schedule a time to come back, he never called. I called the company two more times and the owner never reached out to fix the issue. Now I am left with an off colored yellow patch in my former perfect ceiling all due to this company not caring that this issue had happened because of them in the first place.
Great service! We had them out for a maintenance ck for our AC! They found a fluid leak and promptly refilled and cleaned out the filters! Their convenient payment through their service staff was perfect. Additional kudus to them for wearing masks and social distancing during the visit! Our AC is now properly cooling!

I've used Number One for several years now and have always been pleased by their attentiveness and willingness to problem solve. They've worked on our swamp cooler, the heating, and the overall plumbing. Over the past years, I've been impressed with all of them, the most recent being Ivan, and Moses, Vinny, Corey and others. I really like that I can even email to order service, and it just seems (for me) a more efficient way of organizing the schedule. All in all, Number One has delivered a good experience.
Update:this is sort of a double update for the last two visits. On October 26th, Tech Kurston came to shut down my swamp cooler & turn on my heater for the winter. He was very polite and knowledgeable, explained what he was doing and then tested my house for carbon monoxide before he left. An outstanding employee.
This next update is for today February 27th.
I had a toilet in my main bathroom being uncooperative. I got a text from #1 plumbing with a picture of the Tech Don saying he was on his way. Which is an awesome safety feature. I also got a call from Don saying he was on his way. He arrived on time with another tech named Angelo.
Both were very professional and helpful. Don has been here before and as always is very pleasant to work with. They quickly diagnosed the problem, gave me options and up front pricing then solved the issue quickly and cleanly. They were both great! Number one Plumbing has never let me down and I will always call them first and recommend them whenever I can. Just great service!
They rocked the first visit, why not give 'em another call, right?
This time around, tech Ivan N came to save the day. It wasn't rocket science, really, I'd done the furnace conversion just fine but my house really wasn't staying warm, and I wasn't sure if I'd missed something. The guy who originally answered the phone, BTW, was good about asking me some critical questions before he set up the appointment -- that matters, it makes clients feel more secure they're diagnosing the problem beforehand, rather than just sending someone out because they'll get paid regardless.
Anyway, Ivan N. He called because he could arrive earlier than our scheduled appointment, but I wasn't able to get home early, so he waited for my text, and arrived immediately after. He was good with my anxious dog, checked everything over and then ran a gas leak and carbon monoxide test, verdict: no worries. Ultimately Ivan simply explained that the advice I'd received from a previous contractor was simply wrong, that I should be buying disposable filters, rather than trying to clean out the reusable thing that came with the (ancient) furnace.
Essentially, two hours later I'd bought the filters and the house was back to a comfortable temperature, the furnace was turning on far less frequently, I had peace of mind about the air itself, it was well worth the money and time. Thanks guys!
Initially, I was charged an excessive fee to replace the fill valve in my toilet. I called #1 Plumbing to complain and Richard, a very nice fellow, lowered the price to a satisfactory amount. They listened and did good! That says a lot about them. The work was super, so all is well.

I had a burst pipe in my front yard. I had worked with a previous plumbing company which was not a good experience. I found this company by googling and I contacted them to discuss the issues we were having. They were able to get Chance to my property and figure out the cost of the repair quickly. The pipe was fixed within the same day. Wished I would have went with them to begin with. It would have saved me money and headaches.
Also, they had to go through flagstone in my yard, they put it back together very nicely. I wasn't left with a mess! This was all taken care of while I was out of state. They kept me informed and in contact the whole way. Thank you for everything!
Austin scoped my sewer pipes recently. He appears to be a scam artist. He orally represented on the spot that some pipes needed replacing, and orally quoted $4,000 to do the job. Then he came back a few minutes later and said that they could do it for $2,300. He said the front yard pipe needed replacing, even though this company replaced it two and a half years ago, They failed to provide a written evaluation report on the sewer pipes' condition, despite their agreement to do so. I had TLC Plumbing come out a couple weeks later to evaluate the pipes. They said the pipes noted by Number One were fine, and that only the pipe from the curb to the sewer main needed replacing.

I will not use this business in the future. They do not have the decency to call till after the arrival time that they are not coming. They did not come to fix the leak of my kitchen sink. I waited like idiot for two hours. My kitchen sink is leaking really bad and it is ruining my wooden floors in the kitchen. Very unprofessional. This plumbing company only thinks of themselves and not the customer's time. A friend recommended this company. What is considered an emergency in this company. A leak is necessity not a joke.
After the math of the this leak . It cost me $2500 out pocket. For lack of professionalism and rudeness. New flooring and new piping. A leak turned into a bust pipe. My son heard rushing water and the pipe busted. It scared him. It is very hard with no water in the house for couple days.
David and his crew have been our go-to plumbers for years. Cory converted our house from swamp cooler to air conditioner several years ago, they installed all of our new appliances and plumbing when we remodeled our kitchen and bathroom last year, and they installed a new swamp cooler on our guest house last year after years of expertly maintaining our old one for us. We trust them. They do a great job.

Update: The company contacted me shortly after finding out that I had a problem with the difference between the estimate and cost of the service. They offered to correct the price of the service and said that the employee had corrected action. They could not comment on not using the parts that I provided, which is understanding because they do not have all the information about the parts provided and plumbing of the house.
The company followed up with me and made the cost correction. Thank you!

I called Albuquerque-based Number One Plumbing despite living in Santa Fe because of how well it was reviewed and because I had a very expensive problem which, if I was going to do it, I wanted to make sure was done well. Number One Plumbing sent David to prepare a quote. I was shocked when what he quoted was $6000 less than any of the other quotes I had received, from companies much less well-reviewed. He explained his thinking in ways that I could understand and, despite knowing that his competitors were requesting far more money, still stuck to the quote he gave me. I went ahead with Number One Plumbing and, a few days later, they sent Moses the 60-mile trek north. Moses was fantastic. He worked hard, but he also periodically checked in with me to explain where he was in the project and what was coming. There had been a problem with the work order, such that he arrived without a part that I expected him to have -- so he just went out and got it, without charging me extra. He even did a small side project that I needed done, just on the fly. When all was said and done, I ended up paying what David had quoted me -- there were no surprises. Both David and Moses were also courteous, respectful and trustworthy. You have to pay about $200 extra for them to make the trip -- basically $100 each way -- but I'll continue to use them going forward because their competence and professionalism is easily worth it. I feel very lucky that I found them.
I can't really say enough about Ivan and this company. I have been through a nightmare of multiple companies coming out to 34 times each replacing the board on my furnace the gas valve on my furnace etc. etc. Both other companies tried to sell me an entire new furnace for $3000 and more. I decided to make one last call after seeing the great reviews for this company and they absolutely live up to all of them. They were here in an hour to help me. Ivan was able to diagnose and fix the furnace before I could even blink. Then he got my gas fireplace going again! The entire visit was $150. I couldn't be happier, or recommend Ivan higher. I addition to being prompt, professional, knowledgeable and efficient, Ivan is also just a great human being. Six out of five stars.

set up appointment for slow shower drain. Showed up on time and got the work done. Then the worker (Joe?) answered my questions concerning a water softener install. I even got a veterans discount. I will use number one again.

I contacted this company after not being able to get an appointment for the installation of a water filtration system from another company until almost a month away. Scott came out to give me an estimate the day after I called and they were able to start the installation the next day. They were able to install the system the way I wanted it installed and were very helpful and professional. I will definitely use their services again!

Had two electrical problems within our house which electricians (Luis and Ricardo) from Number One Plumbing, AC, Solar, and Electrical responded to on time and completed the job quickly and professionally. When another problem arises, we will definitely call them again.
We are very satisfied with the service provided by Number One Plumbing. Cory and Abel both were very courteous and very professional from start to finish. They are an excellent face to a plumbing company; personal, friendly, and thorough in all that they did.

Cory M. was absolutely fantastic. Not only was the company able to get me in very quickly for A/C repair, but Cory very quickly identified the issue, and instead of having to set up a following appointment for installation, he went and purchased the part, came back and installed it all within the same afternoon. He also gave me fantastic insight and advice on maintenance for my system since it is getting old. I highly recommend #1 and Cory!

I just bought a house that had HVAC systems installed and I called this company due to an odor that is getting progressively worse. This company was rude and told me there was nothing they could do and would not even come do a service call to make sure the unit they installed less than 3 months ago was working properly. I would NOT recommend this company for anything!!!
They were very respectful and did a great job I will not hesitate to call them again.
I had to have my solar inverter box and conduit moved. Vinny came out and developed a clear plan for me. He itemized my estimate as I requested. The next day, Chance the technician and another gentleman came out and took care of the job without issue. They even took out an old eyebolt that was just an eyesore high up on my home by the powerline. When the job was complete, they made sure my solar inverters were communicating again. They left the jobsite clean. I would hire them again due to the flexibility with their scheduling, paperwork, and how they accommodated my requests.
My sewer was plugged and my bathtub would not drain. MOSES CAME TO THE RESCUE!! HE HAD ME RUN WATER INTO THE TUB. Flush the toilet several times. Took a plunger several times to the drain and it finally started draining.mosea saved the day!! Hecus a professional a d the quick service Number 1 provides is amazing..They are ver fast and very prompt and extremely reliable. Great job!!

I was so pleased with the service I received from #1 Plumbing! Arnold and Elija were on time, polite, professional, and friendly. They attacked a huge job of replacing a very outdated pipe assembly in my very old house. Arnold knew just what he was doing, and did not have to open my ceiling as everyone expected. I had several other companies who did not even want to attempt to solve my tub/shower drainage problem. After giving me an estimate, I was scheduled for a few days later. They also fixed a spigot that has been leaking terribly (after one big radio plumbing service told me was working fine!) I wish I had found them earlier! I too will be calling them for all my plumbing, heating, and electric issues in the future. I felt bad that Elija had to go up and down my staircase close to a thousand times, but he remained friendly and in good spirits throughout. I am thankful for their hard work.

Spent the 4th of July weekend with a guest bathroom with both a clogged toilet and tub. #1 Plumbing came highly recommended by neighbors, and now I know why. Austin, the plumber who fixed my problems, was world-class. He arrived as expected, was courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and willing to teach me about preventative measures and plumbing in general, of which I knew nothing. With back to back toilets and tubs, he was afraid he'd have to go up on the roof to remove the plugs, but that wasn't my first choice because of a new TPO roof. He knew other options to try to get the job done and was willing to attempt them. He certainly got the job done in fine fashion! The next time I need any type of plumbing work done, there is only one company I will call. I cannot recommend Austin and #1 Plumbing more highly. I'm confident that if I have a plumbing issue of any kind, they will get it resolved.
Preston, our technician, showed up on time and was able to locate the leak in our front yard. Preston then dug a hole after moving the gravel and exposed the leaking pipe, replaced it, filled in the hole, and spread the gravel out again. I couldn't even tell he had done all that work!
