Best in Albuquerque NM
THE BEST. I have used other plumbers around town, and they are by far the most friendly. I needed a plumber IMMEDIATELY to fix my leaking water heater and they arrived within 30 minutes, no extra charge. For the first time, I didn't feel like I was screwed on price. Will definitely be using them again!

Installed a Swamp cooler a few years ago, and just did some plumbing for us in our bathroom, which required cutting thru a wall to access the piping. Excellent work. Great company, professional, fast, very reasonable. The only one we'll call for work we can't handle ourselves

I recently used this company and was very pleased with how professional and thorough they were. I had 2 other companies give me a price on fixing a leak I had in the wall were absurd. The owner at NM Plumbing and Mechanical was very reasonable priced. I would absolutely use this company again.

Hottest stretch of the summer and our Air Conditioner starts making weirder noises than usual. We called around and people were booking 2-3 weeks out. We just happened to get a flyer from our realtor that day, one that recommended a few service people, including Sky Swanson. We called. He answered. He showed up THAT DAY to check out the system.
Sky addressed the immediate issue, creating temporary solutions that kept us going until we could make a decision about:
- replacing the AC unit (for which the coolant was no longer made, so that was kind of a no brainer)
- replacing the ductwork with larger-diameter ducts to accommodate the parts of the house that had been added before we moved in 26 years ago
- replacing the entire furnace which was already 17 years old and kind of hacked together and not especially efficient
We got bids for all 3 options and ended up with one of those as-long-as projects, the short version of which is that we have a brand new heating and AC system. Beautiful work, MUCH more efficient, and we can barely hear the new AC unit, even when we're outside sitting near it.
I can't praise Sky's work, problem-solving skills, and can-do attitude enough. Super nice guy, creatively and technically accomplished, neat and considerate, and totally committed to us being happy with his work. It's been several weeks and everything's been working brilliantly.

I had an ancient boiler for baseboard heat & domestic hot water heater. Both at least 27 years old, really!
Before catastrophic failure, I requested 4 bids from HVAC plumbers. Of the four , 3 submitted bids; 1 suspiciously low & 1 really high & one in the expected range. Only Baker Plumbing sent the actual plumber to do the bid. That is Steven Baker himself. He arrived at the time agreed upon, asked the right questions & got an itemized bid back in 1 day. Work started on time and finished when anticipated. He came in on target with no overcharges. He explained fully & helped getting tech info for custom settings.
Steven Baker plumbing is highly recommended.

Just great service all around! So nice to see a local business, minority owned doing so well. Their customer service, attention to detail and follow through on the job is a breath of fresh air.

Ten days since they were supposed to come, my heater is still not fixed. To make matters much worse, I can never get a straight answer about what is going on or when they are going to come back. They have stood me up five times. What a nightmare.

I'm sorry to give a poor review, but I won't try to use Simmons again. It is hit and miss with their service. I had them close down my swamp cooler and start up my furnace- okay job. Next, I had them replaced a garbage disposal, that evening while doing dishes my shoes were flooded with a river of water pouring out of the cabinet below the sink. He returned the next day and, apparently, hadn't screwed a part together. Whatever. Then my toilet wouldn't flush and they came out and replaced the inner workings. Okay, it worked. Then my husband, who is in failing health, physically disabled and when in the middle of an episode has poor thinking skills and he pushed our toilet about a foot. Needless to say it was broken. I called Simmons and they came came out within a reasonable time and I requested they buy a chair level toilet. Well, while the installer was finishing up and figuring the bill I noticed he had put my old toilet in my trash container and all the cardboard into my recycling container. I was shocked. I asked if the city would pick it up or would I be fined. He replied he didn't think I wanted it on the side of the house. I didn't know this was an option. At 66 years old I have had many toilets replaced and they always hauled it off. Later I called the city 311 line and inquired if I could be fined and the answer was yes because a toilet is too heavy for the truck to pickup plus damaging the container when it probably would have fallen through the bottom of the container. So I have a freakin toilet in my trash container which is too heavy for me to move, no place to put my trash and now trying to get rid of another mess. I will not give Simmons another chance. The only jewel with this company is the office manager, April, who works hard to schedule service quickly and efficiently.

DrainWorks does my Condo Association work as well as that in my Condo. Recommended them to a relative who recently bought a home in Santa Fe County. She, too, is as pleased with their work as I am.

Tim has unfortunately been out to my house in Edgewood twice now. Once for a leaky outdoor faucet that had to be replaced and today for the water from my washing machine backing up and onto my floor. Tim is professional and dependable and does a great job, highly recommend! A++

What a find. It is hard to ask more from a company.
I had an old wall furnace that would not fire. Bret came out on a Saturday for what was I think William's regular service call rate and not only diagnosed the problem, an old defective gas value, but he had a replacement value in his truck! A short time later he had installed the new value. Nice guy, very competent, great service. AS I said above, what a find. Williams is now my go to company.

These guys are disorganized and it seems that they only have one screwdriver. One camera. One saw for the entire company. They are very disorganized and the front office seems to make appts for crews assuming the one regular tip Phillips screwdriver will be available and not in Los Lunas if needed in rio rancho.

Terrible rude never retuned calls. Would not recommend. Didn't clean up after job. Don't hire

After reading reviews from all over the country I have come to the conclusion that the company is only as good as its regional office. My experience in Houston was vastly different in a good way from my experience in New Mexico. I found the NM office staff and plumbers to be totally dishonest and incompetent. Jonathan the boss is a total crook, dishonest and a flat out liar. They are not familiar with building codes in the various parts of the state and do not know how to weather proof radiant heating lines. Their methods here are to blast through your floor and slab, destroy the radiant heating lines and use heavy equipment that vibrates your entire foundation, causing more repairs to be done later on. In this latest case, the leak detector marked the spot (which subsequently turned out to be NOT THERE, but elsewhere) and the repair crew came out two weeks later. The repair crew was here an hour, helping me prep the area for demolition inside my home. I found several discrepancies in the plan and became concerned that they would not adequately put the foundation patch on correctly. Not only were they overcharging me for the repair (over $5000), they tried to nickel and dime me to death by requesting $500 for 6 buckets of free dirt, claiming the hole was wet., DUH! Leaks make the ground wet. You dig the hole and find water. What part of that should have been a surprise! So I provided them with said dirt on my own. I then found out they had no plan to insulate my pipes that control the temperature of the house, called radiant heat, which is used in NM instead of central heat and air. I asked for them to insulate properly to avoid cracked pipes in the winter. This apparently became too much for them because the next thing I know is the plumber is on his phone in my garage speaking in private, comes in and says, we're leaving. I was floored! I asked why, and he responded I don't know, but my boss told us to leave. I begged them to stay as we had been without water for 3 weeks, just waiting on them to show up. They literally spun out rocks from their tires running away. No explanation. The NM office will not return my calls. Dan, the office staffer never returned a promised call with an explanation. Jonathan who put the stop on the job has never reached out after several requests. I still do not know what went wrong, except to say they obviously wasted my time and money, and did not want to do the job. Literally left two old people and one disabled person with no water and no explanation. They never even began any work before they decided to up and leave without an explanation. People who advocate for this type of customer non-service have no business being in business. IMO the NM office should fire most their people. They are absolutely soul less. Who does this to people? Cannot recommend for either leak detection or leak repairs. Totally unqualified and unscrupulous. Wish I had seen the Yelp reviews over other sites sooner, because these reviews are spot on and in keeping with my exact experience.
