Best Heater Installation in Boston MA
I'm going to start with all of the positives, and there are many:
I first met with Kevin, who was extremely professional and courteous. I liked dealing with him, and he was pretty prompt with getting back to me. Communication is important and these guys know it! The guys he sent over, Josh and Bill, were also courteous and professional. Their task was to replace a cast iron drain and vent stack with new PVC, since the old drain was leaking. They had to disassemble a lazy Susan in my kitchen cabinet to access a particular pipe, but at the end of the job, it was fully reassembled like nobody had ever been in there. They kept wall cutting to a minimum and cleaned up after themselves, at least in my condo. So far so good.
Now for a couple of the downsides. Immediately below the joints of the new PVC piping, on the floor of my basement, is caked on pipe epoxy. It is unsightly and does not appear to be easily removable. Some are just blotches. Some are thin lines of it 8-10 inches long across the floor. This is apart from the water stains from the original pipe leak. I can take pictures as needed. It appears that Josh and Bill may have not used a drop cloth when they were working in the basement.
Also the $1895 estimate given to me at the start of the project was basically exactly what the final invoice was. This is a positive, but I expected a more detailed breakdown of the exact cost of what I paid for. There was only one line item on the invoice with a simple description of the job and the total cost. At minimum, I expect a labor breakdown, including an hourly rate, and a list of parts and their costs. I did some prep work on their behalf, which included carefully removing built-in shelves (for later reassembly) and cutting exploratory holes to precisely locate the questionable pipe and any adjacent electrical wiring, so that they could gain access to the necessary areas without the additional labor of doing that themselves. But that seemed to have no downward impact on the final invoice despite giving them at least an hour head start on the job.
Overall, I'm still pleased, and hope to give them another star in the near future if they can somehow address these issues. I still consider them my go-to plumbing service, but they need to take cleanup measures in all areas they work, not just livable spaces.

My mom passed away in October, her house being significantly bigger than mine I decided to sell my Billerica house and move to the tewksbury house my mom owned. In order to sell I had to replace the hot water heater, called a friend of a friends plumber and wasn't happy he left the old hot water heater on the back deck. It's still on the deck and the people buying my house now have to dispose of it. So fast forward 2 months, I noticed a leak in the tewksbury house basement, realized it was coming from the half bath toilet. Instead of calling the friend of a friend plumber I came on this website to find a new plumber. This is where I found Greg. He came today and replaced the toilet and took the old one. I noticed professional service, fair pricing, knowledgeable and ethical. Greg wanted to reconstruct the broke toilet to save me money, instead of just telling me to get a new toilet. He said he ensures to save money for the customer. I opted on my own to have a new toilet installed. I'm very happy with Greg's ethical business standard! I will be calling him for now on for all plumbing and heating needs. Actually before my mom died she said the house needs a new heat system. So I trust in hiring Greg for this next season!

My sink stopped working over the weekend and Angel was the only one who responded to my call, and I'm happy he did. He was excellent: responsive, knowledgeable, and reliable. Fixed the issue and even came back to make sure everything was working and to spruce up the sink (gave me a free faucet hole cover and siliconed). His prices are also very fair... he was nice enough to give a discount even though it was a weekend job. Highly recommend... you'll be in good hands!

Consolidated Plumbing is simply the way to go. They are professional, show up on time, do great work, and leave little to clean up. I was recently gutting our upstairs bathroom and could not figure out how to move the traps for a new double vanity. I called them on a Friday morning at 9 and a plumber was there by 10:30! I have used them for three total jobs and they have been great every time. They may cost a bit more than other places, but the professionalism is well worth it. Don't cheap out on plumbing.

Could not be happier with the level of professionalism and price point. On top of that, Mike was able to come the day we called. Stumbled upon them via yelp desperately looking for help and as new home owners have definitely found who we will be using for all future issues.

I feel very happy and relieved that I found Jonny. As a new homeowner, I was very anxious when my water heater started leaking. I immediately started looking online for a plumber including Angie's List, Home Advisor, Yelp, and the Home Depot installers. Some plumbers never called back, others gave me expensive quotes. Another wanted $132 dollars just to come over and assess what was happening. A friend recommended I call Jonny and I am glad I did. He was traveling but I was able to communicate with him via WhatsApp and show him the property. Jonny was very clear about his availability, showed up when he said he would, and best of all he gave me a very fair price. He was also willing to meet up at Home Depot so that I could make sure I chose the WiFi water heater I wanted. He was very patient while I had a last-minute moment of indecision while deciding on the size of the tank. The install looks great. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and call him back if I have any other issues. I always look at reviews and recommendations when making decisions, and I hope this review helps you feel confident in hiring Jonny.

had them put in a new boiler and oil tank they did such a great job. I could not believe how quiet and efficient they were they left the place cleaner than when they came. All workmanship was top notch and very professional .If you need service or a new boiler these are the people to call. Thanks to all the crew and the girl who called from their office you are the best

Water pressure was low and they came to resolve the issue right before my wife decided to threaten me with a divorce if it's not fixed.

I was so glad to find AMC Mechanical when our gas dryer died. Andrew responded promptly and professionally at every stage of the process. We ended up being Home Depot's first delivery of the day and Andrew ensured that he arrived right when they did (7:30 am on a Saturday morning!). He worked incredibly efficiently and made sure to test that the dryer was working properly. I have highly recommended him to my friends in the Boston area and would definitely call him again for any future plumbing jobs.

Awesome plumber - best find I've had! Prompt, honest, reliable - and did I mention honest? Gave me a quote that was about half of what I got elsewhere, and made a real effort to cut this down further by trying to repair the problem instead of completely replacing the part (shower). Would go back to him anytime.

When our water heater broke, they responded quickly and came on the same day. Welter was super nice and explained everything what was wrong and how to fix if the same thing happens next time. He never pushed / forced to buy or replace anything and gave us some options. We had a great experience with them and definitely we will use them whenever we need! Highly highly recommend!!!

When a pipe burst in our condo over the weekend and flooded the living room, we realized we didn't have the right kind of insurance and needed help to clean up and repair things on our own. Casper Plumbing was quick to respond and repair the burst pipe at a reasonable price. Would definitely hire again and recommend them to anyone in the area!

Decided to get proactive with our 20 year old American Standard furnace. Selected Main Stream Mechanical to do the install and couldn't be happier. Technicians were very knowledgeable and professional. Very well run company with great communication. Couldn't be happier.

T-Flow came quickly and repaired the shower that would not shut off. Very polite and easy to work with. They charged a fair price. What more could we want from a plumber?

Service mgr Chris was very helpful and his service plumbing technician Ryan was excellent and professional on my hot water heaters.

Had the pleasure of having Ron come out and replace the shut offs on my washing machine. He was on time, courteous, used Covid precautions and was very professional . He was able to come by the very day I called them and was very reasonable with his pricing.
I would definitely recommend them and look forward to working with them again in the future.

Two years ago my water heater was leaking. Their sticker was on my water heater, so i called Crescent. The plumber and I discussed my oversized water heater and how it would need a new overflow valve to fix the drip. Since it was close to the end of its warrantee, I decided to replace it instead of just the rather expensive part.
Since I'm disabled, I didn't go down to the basement to make sure all went well, but, since I had hot water, all seemed well. Until...
...my water heater died. Except that it was my old water heater, not the new one I had expected. I live in a two-condo building, with both water heaters side by side in the other condo's space. Somehow, despite our talking at length about replacing *my* water heater, they replaced the one for the other unit. Which, of course, I had paid for.
When I brought it to their attention, I got various excuses which escalated into downright nastiness. After talking to other plumbing companies about what happened (and replacing my heater), they were unanimous in telling me never to use Crescent, and that the nastiness was typical. If called in for something else, Crescent also slaps their sticker on water heaters in the hopes that someone will assume they installed it.
If I could give them a zero, I would. A decent company would, at the very least, have offered to replace my water heater at cost. Instead I got abuse.

They replaced a septic pump in my garage, above which is a studio with a bathroom and shower. The one that finally quit had been in there for 20 trouble free years. The Cranney replacement failed (overflowed) within 2 weeks. The technician blamed things that were being flushed as jamming the float, which is surprising, because there was nothing going in there that hadn't been going in there for 20 years. Defective design. Period. It has repeatedly failed since. I cannot use the bathroom in the studio, and the smell of sewage will probably never leave the building. Rotted doorframe, and stairs, wood. They may be good at some things, but on this they have been disaster.
