Best Water Heater Repair in Boston MA

Big Blue has been a constant rescuer to all the plumbing and heating issues we have had with an old construction house to a newer construction townhouse we are in now. We have used them exclusively since 2015. My children know every one (in the office and the team in the field) that's how many plumbing issues we've had. I'm happy to report that everything they've done has withstood years of use by adults and children. They have always been quick to respond. They found us a boiler fast in 0 degree weather, they've saved us from huge leaks from appliances and valves etc. Though they are popular they make time for their clients. Had a new washing machine delivered, the Home Depot delivery guys didn't hook it up, saying there was corrosion on the pipes and the drainage pipe was non-standard.

Called Greg, he had an opening right then and was at my place in 20 minutes. He took a look, determined there was no actual problem with the pipes, hooked up the washing machine and did some quick troubleshooting and verification to ensure that it was functional, and got everything working nicely.

He and his partner were nice, professional, and clearly good at what they do. I'll definitely be calling him any time I need plumbing assistance.

Dynamic PH took advantage of my situation and overcharged massively.

I was desperate to get a kitchen fawcet replaced and had already tried to reach several other plumbers unsuccessfully on a Friday afternoon. Dynamic offered to do the job: $375 for the fawcet replacement (I supplied the fawcet) and $195 for each shut-off valve that had to be replaced (he replaced both). In total Angel and his helper took about 1.5 hours. Afterwards I realized that I had been had, but it was too late. I had accepted the offer, so I paid the $765. I would never ask Dynamic to do anything for me again.

It's also worth noting that Angel was in such a hurry to install the new fawcet that he was going to put the new one down on top of a lot of crusty scale that had built up under and around the old fawcet. This could have kept the rubber gasket under the fawcet-plate from sealing properly. I asked him to wait while I removed the scale while he stood by impatiently. Also, the fawcet is mounted such that mixer-handle is off center. For almost $800 I would expect at the very least much better attention to such details.

The next time I will ask for an hourly rate. The Dynamic rate, calculated conservatively ($765 / 1.5 hours / 2 people) is $255/hour. Two other plumbers I asked had rates of $133/hour and $150/hour. If you consider that Angel's helper didn't need to be there at all (I think he was just there to be able justify the massive bill) then the hourly rate becomes $510/hour. wow.

Consolidated Plumbing is top notch.  Mitch did a bathroom remodeling job for us with Doug Rausch as contractor several years ago.  They gutted our bathroom down to the studs and completely remodeled it.  Mitch's plumbing work was a work of art, and Doug's carpentry and tile work was excellent.  We had done a previous bathroom remodel with another company, and Consolidated was far superior.   We have made use of their plumbing services with Tommy since then, and we've been very happy with Tommy's work and Jodi's front office services.  Thank you Consolidated!!!

Hinchey Brothers Plumbing is Great! Sam did a boiler tune up in the beginning of January. Marlene the Office Manager contacted me the day before
my appointment and on the day of the appointment regarding Sam's arrival time.Sam maintained precautions wearing a mask. He was very professional/polite and on time. The tune up didn't take long.I have been using Hinchey Brothers for years! I highly recommend them!!!!

Two plumbers I called never got back to me until 2 days later. I called foster plumbing at 10am. They sent a tech and apprentice to my house by 12pm of the same day. They fixed the leak within 1 hour. Ronnie and jake thanks again. Great guys and great services.

I feel very happy and relieved that I found Jonny. As a new homeowner, I was very anxious when my water heater started leaking. I immediately started looking online for a plumber including Angie's List, Home Advisor, Yelp, and the Home Depot installers. Some plumbers never called back, others gave me expensive quotes. Another wanted $132 dollars just to come over and assess what was happening. A friend recommended I call Jonny and I am glad I did. He was traveling but I was able to communicate with him via WhatsApp and show him the property. Jonny was very clear about his availability, showed up when he said he would, and best of all he gave me a very fair price. had them put in a new boiler and oil tank they did such a great job. I could not believe how quiet and efficient they were  they left the place cleaner than when they came. All workmanship was top notch and very professional .If you need service or a new boiler these are the people to call. I received quotes from several companies to replace a leaking water heater.  Welch Brothers was the only one that came out to look at the job before providing me with a free estimate.  Not only were they the most competitive without sacrificing the proposed installation of a top of the line water heater; on the day of installation, after procuring the necessary permit, they were fast, efficient, and professional.  They cleaned the area when they were done, were very friendly during the whole operation, answered all my questions, brought things up to code (i.e. signage and CO monitor), and performed a seamless installation.  I would definitely consider them for future jobs.

I put out the word here in Yelp! that our hot water heater needed a look-see.

Andrew responded very quickly. When I asked him about his availability, he said, I can do 8:30 tomorrow (Saturday) morning. Um, yeah!

He and his assistant were here on time. They installed a new water heater that works beautifully in under 2 hours. Very reasonable with the price.  What's fantastic is he gace me an all-inclusive price. No gotchas, if you know what I mean.

I'm definitely looking forward to working with him again. And the three other units in our building all had the same water heater as we did and were installed the same day as ours back in 2014.

Frank called me back the same day for a relatively small job, a disposal installation. He arrived on time the next day, and his pricing was simple and transparent. On arrival, he immediately had concerns: the cabinet was an awkward space with a low sink, and little room to maneuver. Frank explained the possible complications, and came up with a plan for arranging the plumbing. After a run to the local plumbing supply house for parts, he managed to get everything squeezed in perfectly. I would definitely call him again.

Had a problem with upstairs toilet. Called 4  people, couldn't get anyone here within a week. Call Mass Plumbing and Heating, Welter came within 3 hours.  Welter was respectful of current Covid issues, he was efficient, cleaned everything up, and in general...a nice guy to have working in the house. My family used Charlie's services in Boston about a month ago. We called him to fix the plumbing in my aunt's bathroom, but because of unforeseen circumstances, Charlie drove all the way out to my aunt's house, but wasn't allowed to come inside.

Charlie expressed so much empathy and kindness toward my family's unique situation. There needs to be more people like him in this world. Most people would have been extremely uncomfortable, but Charlie expressed his understanding and told us to call him when we need him again.

After hour contact needs some work. Service provided did not seem to completely fix the problem with my furnace and attempts to get back in contact with company over weekend hours were not met with level of service expected.

Had the pleasure of having Ron come out and replace the shut offs on my washing machine. He was on time, courteous, used Covid precautions and was very professional . He was able to come by the very day I called them and was very reasonable with his pricing.

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY! What a bunch of thieves they are. They came by on Monday, the day before 4th of July. I called at 7:51am Monday morning, and the lady on the phone gave me an estimation of a noontime visit by the plumber. Two men surprised me by showing up in the morning as I was getting out of the shower. No phone call to inform me of the schedule change. That in itself was not the problem. One of them mentioned that they were hoping to get all of their appointments done by noon and call it a day. I thought okay, no problem, glad I was home and heard their loud knocks.

Before I go on any further, I was quite surprised when I saw their van outside of our house. It said Crescent Plumbing. The number I had saved on my phone was actually under Executive Plumbing. Apparently some time between my last need of a plumber to this recent problem, Crescent Plumbing had taken over the number. I had good experiences with Executive twice, but this was my first with Crescent and will be my last.

Our problem started the night before. My husband tried to fix our leaking bathroom faucet. After taking it apart, he thought he figured out the problem. We hurried to Home Depot as it was nearing closing time and bought what we thought was the problem, a stem assembly replacement. So we bought 2, one for cold and one for hot. Went home and put the new ones in. The leak stopped because now there was no water flow. ??? We did buy the correct parts, but now we had a new set of problem. Something was plugging it. The next morning, I called the plumber, which I thought was still Executive. I don't even remember if the lady who answered actually specifying Crescent Plumbing. She must've and I probably just didn't notice.

They knocked, they came in, they heard what the problem was, they went upstairs to look at the bathroom faucet, one of them went down the stairs to get something from the van, he came back up the stairs, replaced this little doohickey thing at the nose tip of your faucet, both men went down the stairs, one went back to the van, one stuck around to fill out the bill and waited for me to write him a check. They were in my house for FIVE lousy minutes and gave me a bill for $165!!!! I kid you not. They were in my bathroom for no more than 2 minutes and they charged me ONE HUNDRED SIXTY FIVE STINKIN' DOLLARS. That little doohickey they replaced was an aerator that you can find in any Home Depot for 2 bucks or less. Still reeling......
