Best Sink Repair in Boston MA
Absolutely terrible experience. Quoted me an hourly rate for work done and was highly reviewed on yelp - so I ended up going with them to replace a water heater under warranty.
They arrived - were nice enough - handled all the warranty replacement stuff and came back the next day with a replacement header.. With the wrong heater. They claimed it was the only one the warranty would cover - was a lower power (and cheaper) model than the one I had originally. Guy who did the install was a jerk, scratched my floor with the replacement and treated his apprentice like crap (Literally laughed when he burned his hand several times..)
I complained a couple more times and then called the manufacturer who told me that they should have replaced it with the same model. Finally got them to recognize their error and Josh came over and was nice enough about it - Kevin also came over at a later date.
Around this time their first bill came in. $1000 to replace my water heater under warranty - and the guy was nice enough to not charge for any piping. They were there for under 2 hours and the hourly rate they quoted as $125. Every other quote I had for replacement was under half that total.
About 2 weeks, 5 visits and 20 phone calls later they replaced the water heater with the correct one and I paid $800 to replace an under warranty water heater.
Nothing about this experience was inline with other yelpers experiences.

Summary: Hired Angel for all of our plumbing needs and have no regrets. Highly recommend. I will continue to use his services for any plumbing issues in the future. Perfectionist professional, detail-oriented and conscientious. Great customer service. Responsive and helpful. Always wore a new surgical face mask, fitted properly, during the whole time indoors. He understood that I had to keep the windows open and no A/C on for coronavirus-precautions and kept working diligently despite the summer humidity and heat. Brought his own booties (new ones) each time to keep the house clean.
This one might be basic but it's important and hard to find sometimes - Angel worked efficiently and respected my home so that nothing was dirty or damaged when he was done working in the work area. I've had other horrible people work in my home before and they'll ding or scratch other stuff while they're working and never clean up the work area when they're done too.
Details: I had major plumbing work done by Angel in my house. Over a holiday weekend, I had a leaky supply pipe in the bathroom that caused a ton of damage and needed extensive work. Angel was texting with me within the hour of my requesting service (through his website first) to assess the situation and recommended an emergency repair (that I could do while I waited for him to show up on the next business day) so that we could stop the water leak ASAP without having to lose running water in the entire house. Then he took care of the necessary pipework as well as the repairs and completed the job in as few trips as possible (i.e., minimal water shutoff - which is important. Imagine living without running water for anything longer than a day. I can't, first-world problems.) Angel was willing to come at the end of the day so that we could have most of the day with running water and then it would be shutoff to let the pipe glue cure overnight. So much easier on us and considerate of Angel to do that, instead of scheduling us at his convenience like other plumbers might do.
In case you'd like to know, the entire process needed some new piping, toilet removal and reattachment, vanity removal and a new installation, as well as all new hardware that would accompany these fixtures. (I also needed wall repair and countertop work, for which Angel recommended other professionals and I was very pleased with their work too.)
Additionally, unrelated to the problem, I had a faulty kitchen faucet that wouldn't dispense hot water like it used to, and Angel easily diagnosed the issue and replaced it with a new one. Similarly, I had a faulty drain assembly that was slowing down the water in another bathroom sink and Angel took care of that in a few minutes too.
Lumped all that work with reasonable rates. Very happy with my experience overall. Highly recommend!

Absolutely, hands down the best plumber and one of the best contractors I have ever worked with. Jodie, office manager, is on top of everything. Every phone call is returned promptly. I manage a large museum-lots of plumbing-and Consolidated Plumbing has been a pleasure to work with. And I've been working with them for years. Never a disappointment. Can't say enough nice things about this company.

Andrew and Nick were great! They helped with my hot water heater replacement. Andrew was very professional and made good recommendations on my heater replacement (PLUS fair pricing compared with other plumbers). Would definitely do business with them again. Highly recommended!

Fantastic service and PRICING! Came right out and took care of our shower in short time for short money.

My neighbor recommended me Frank, because of very good work with reasonable price. Along these years I asked Frank to replace my water heater, garbage disposal, along with several everyday plumbing stuff. He has been responsive and a life saver. I just sold my house and I will definitely recommend Frank to the new owner.

We had an ongoing leak from our second floor bathroom through the ceiling on the first floor. I appreciated that Welter communicated about what he would do to diagnose the problem, to appropriately set the expectations of the work. During the process, at each turn he would take the time to explain what he had done, what he had found and what he recommended for a resolution. I was very happy with the work he did and for the recommendations he provided. While I certainly do not want any plumbing problems in the future, I would look to hire Welter, again, to get them resolved.

The team was super quick to respond and come out for my non-emergency project! Pat was so courteous- I can't even begin to explain how grateful I am for that. It may sound small but your kindness was so appreciated especially because I was so frazzled! Pat was kind, explained things really simply for me and did a thorough and quick job. Thanks so much!

we had an oil burner service company for 20 years and the owner retired a few years ago. we thought we would never find that level of service again. we decided to convert to natural gas, and we used mainstream mechanical. we also installed a whole house generator. these guys do great work, are professional, and know their stuff! we are always assured that no matter what time of the year, day or night, if we have a problem they are there! we highly recommend mainstream. We've used T-Flow three times now (for a water heater replacement, a leaking cast iron drain section for a 2nd floor bathroom in a multi-family unit and to clear a slow draining sink in a 1st floor bathroom). In every case, they have done an exceptional job and I can highly recommend them. Since the first job, Matt has always been very quick to respond and arrange his people to come out. And during the last job, we had only 1 day to replace the cast iron drain section (due to the tenant being out for just a day) and they stayed to almost 8pm and got it done - without even stopping for a lunch break. On top of that, they cut into the plaster walls very neatly so they could be patched easily and spread drop cloths and vacuumed everything up so the tenant's belongings were not affected at all. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Renato's team came out here today to take a look at my hot water heater. I called them in the morning and they were able to get here within the hour, recognize that my old heater needed replacing, and replaced it that afternoon! I'm really impressed with the efficiency, straight-forward communication, and professionalism. There was a lot of moving around things in my apartment to get the new heater in and the old one out, but they stayed and put everything back together exactly the way it was. This was the first time I've needed a plumber since living in Boston, but I know who I'll call with any future needs. Strongly recommend!

Bill did an exemplary job. He is extremely responsive, knowledgable, and a pleasure to work with. His customer service is second to none. He took excellent care of our furnace and addressed all of our concerns. I look forward to hiring him again in the future.

Though you may receive good service, you will pay through the roof, and then if you seek feedback on why the cost is so high, the owner will yell at you and berate you.
The service provided by Andrew Fodera, the plumber who provided my service was great. He was on time, respectful, answered questions and very helpful. However, you will pay through the roof for the service. Andrew came to my home twice for no more than an hour each time to assist with a leaky kitchen faucet and continuously running toilet. I was informed I needed to replace the kitchen faucet and he adjusted the chain in the tank and tightened some bolts. Andrew returned to install a new kitchen faucet that I had already purchase. The total for the two visits $791.96.
Feeling this was very high for two hours of work, I contacted Ron Pescatore to inquire about the bill and understand the charges. Only to have him yell at me on the phone and ask me repeatedly what I thought his time is worth. I indicated that I expected to pay a reasonable hourly rate, but am very surprised at 2 hours of time for the work provided totaled nearly $400 an hour. He continued to yell over the phone about the cost of his trucks and time to drive to my home stating more than an hour to drive each way.
Be advised, you are paying for labor, owners time to coordinate, drive time and god knows what else. I take responsibility for not getting a cost estimate prior, I have learned my lesson.
I will pay my bill, but I would recommend that no one hire this company, given the high prices and the treatment you may receive from the owner if you reach out to better understand the cost. Just know that with this company, you will pay through the roof for basic plumbing needs.

You'd be better of flushing your money down the toilet then hiring these guys.
I had a 2nd floor shower leak. I called Baker Elman. It took them 3 hrs to do the following:
1) Cut a 4 FOOT by 2 FOOT hole in the bathroom wall
2) Bash a 1 FOOT by 1 FOOT hole in the ceiling below the bathroom
3) Break a shower fixture (brass finish), and put on one with a different finish
4) Break the caulking on the fixtures
Note, nowhere do I write they actually fixed the leak, because they didn't. Instead, they said, well the leak isn't from the pipes as far as we can see. btw, here's a bill for $300. Sweet.
Did I mention that they cut a hole the size of a small child in my wall????
To add insult to injury, they said they would replace the broken fixture, but that if I wanted them to do it that they would charge me for having to come out again. Sweet.
Save yourself from having to hire a second plumber (and handyman) to clean up after these clowns. Avoid at all costs.

Though I've seen the trucks around town for years, I've only recently started using them. So far I've had them out 3 or 4 times to handle minor plumbing issues. (Yes I have old pipes!). They are fast, efficient and will find the best way to solve your problem. Without charging you a bloody fortune. Today they arrived 10 minutes early and were in and out in less than 1/2 an hour.

I usually read reviews before I call a company but I didn't this time cause it was an emergency. we had no heat on the most coldest day in feb 2015 . he took 5 hrs to get here. looked at my furnance said it was filthy with dust blew a little dust out w his mouth and said we needed a new furnance cause we hadent been keeping up w maitnance. bottom line he charged me $182.00 for ten min of work. took out my filter and said it was filthy and didn't replace it he said they don't carry filters anymore. you would think for that price I would of gotten a filter. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY he did fix it though and I don't need a new furnance this place sucks
