Best Lighting Installation in Seattle WA
This is my first ever Yelp review and I decided to write my honest review for After Hour Services.
My kitchen sink has been stuck for more than 12 hrs. I tried different methods for 5 hrs but still couldn't get it resolved.
After Hours Services exceeded my expectations in many ways-
Responsive: Will replied my request for quote under 10 mins, and replied my text and call fairly quickly.
Professional: Will got things done in under 30 mins. In addition, Will was very thorough in examining andexplaining the issue. What I love the most is that he cleaned up the area after the issue was fixed.
Transparent pricing: he's honest and it's a flat fee and very reasonable price. I got different quotes and his is the most transparent.
On-time: he was on time, which is a very big factor for me.
Overall, I recommend Will and After Hour Services, with passion.

Responsive and friendly. 10 min consultation that resulted in a mutual decision not to proceed with the work which I was not charged for.

Michael did an annual check-up of my furnace, and was happy to answer my many questions and teach me all about my furnace. He wore a mask, and it was warm enough that we could keep the garage door open for COVID-19 safety. He is probably the most intelligent contractor I have ever hired across any field and also one of the most helpful and pleasant to interact with. He discovered that the second stage of my two-stage furnace had never been connected to my thermostat, so he fished the wire that was buried deep in the wall out and fixed that. He cleaned and inspected my furnace carefully and thoroughly and recommended adding some missing insulation and redoing a bad glue job from a different company. My furnace didn't have a way to remove one of its parts for inspection, so he inspected it with a camera and checked that the voltages, currents, and resistances of the various components were correct. My only regret is that I didn't hire Michael to inspect my furnace sooner.

Knowledgable, resourceful, able to reply quickly either with a quote and proposed solution, or a referral to another place. Very happy

This company charged us $307.55 for a $13 10 yard box.... My boyfriend who owns the home was working and I ran home to let the plumbers in. The pricing was already discussed and settled between my boyfriend and the company. When my boyfriend got home and saw that he was charged $1109.39 when he had been quoted $200-$300 to unclog one pipe that clogs every year in the winter, he was pissed. The 10 yard box that we were charged $307.55 is only $13 at Home Depot THEY CHARGED US $307.55 FOR A $13 BOX!!!!!! Bunch of scammers for sure. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I called beacon plumbing for electrical service. I was having issues with the bathroom light on my rental property. I was told over the phone that is would cost $75 for a technician to come to my house. The technician will assess the problem and give me a quote for the service. When the technician arrived he said it will cost $119 for them to do a diagnostic test. Then once he finds the problem he will then give me a quote of the total cost. Funny how the cost of a diagnostic test wasn't mentioned on the initial phone call that I had with Beacon Plumbing. Pretty much I would pay $75 + $119 before work is even done. He said the total potential cost could another $260 if the issue was a broken switch. The total cost would have been $454 + tax. I told the technician no. I pretty much lost $75 + tax for a guy coming to my house to tell me it would cost me $119 to tell me what is wrong+ $260 more to fix what was wrong. After this mess from Beacon Plumbing, I decided to go with Mirsky. The total cost from them to complete the job was 271.81. They found the issue was a bad switch. Mirsky has won over my business for all of my property future needs. I will never go with Beacon plumbing. The prior reviews on Beacon plumbing are right. The electrician part of this business does over charge for their services. Thank you Beacon Plumbing for the $82 lesson of trusting a plumbing company for my electrician needs.

ZERO STARS
CAUTION!!!!
we had them come out to check the system since we are selling our house
i see in another review the mysterious lid replacement .... by the way their lid is a 200% mark up - they did the same thing to us but replaced a newer one and not the older one (NONE of them were in poor condition)
they over charged us and only when i called them on it sent me a revised bill BUT the credit has yet to show on my credit card
they falsely reported the flow situation to king county as i have had other companies out to verify
i cannot recommend this company ...... period

In November my furnace stopped working. I called many heating companies before finding one that would come to my home - Beacon! They sent Jon over, who looked at the situation. $500 later - for the diagnosis - he said my vent pipe/chimney was old and clogged, needed to be replaced. The charge would be $5600 to replace, paid in advance. 1/2 then, 1/2 half when they started the work. Seemed like a lot of $ to replace an outside vent pipe, but it was 30 degrees outside and I didn't have any heat, so I agreed and signed.
Several days later Jon was back and wanted to be paid before starting to work. I told him I would pay upon completion. Nope, not the way we do business. Had to be paid in full first. Reluctantly, I agreed. Jon finished about half the job, said he'd be back after Thanksgiving. That's the last I've seen of him. Its now the middle of February (luckily, my heat is working). I've contacted Jon many times, both voice and text, to no avail. The most encouraging thing he has said is I think about your job every week!! Frustrated, I finally called Beacon to complain. They said they would send Jon that day between 10am and 1pm. That time period came and went - no Jon. I called back. They said they would contact Jon, I told them no. No more Jons, I was fed up with him. Send someone else. They then transferred my call to Mark, a Sr. Manager. Mark said I should continue with Jon, he was a fine and hard worker (must be why he hasn't been back in almost 3 months to finish the job). I said no, Jon was totally undependable, I was tired of trying to deal with him. Send someone else. More gas lighting from Mark... I talked to Mark on Feb 3, haven't heard anything back from Beacon. Today is Fed 13. This whole saga started on November 13.
This job is not rocket surgery!! Anyone with a little experience and the proper tools could finish it. I'm sure Jon is not the only one in a company with 140 employees (Mark's number) with the necessary minimal skills could get this completed!!

We needed a furnace replacement and had Black Hills come out as our second quote. The consultant spent 2+ hours with us - measuring windows, walking the house, understanding our house - before offering a quote. We appreciated his honesty, his willingness to answer all of our questions and the fact that he didn't try to sell us something that would have been overkill for our 100+ year old house. Our install was a few days later and Jake, our tech, could not have been better. He was extremely professional and thorough and worked hard to get our furnace installed in a timely manner, even after the aforementioned 100+ year old house gave him some unexpected issues. This experience was great - we couldn't have asked for better and the fact that they offer multiple guarantee types gives us the peace of mind that we made the right decision.
