After Hours Services Plumbing Service
This is my first ever Yelp review and I decided to write my honest review for After Hour Services.

My kitchen sink has been stuck for more than 12 hrs. I tried different methods for 5 hrs but still couldn't get it resolved.

After Hours Services exceeded my expectations in many ways-

Responsive: Will replied my request for quote under 10 mins, and replied my text and call fairly quickly.

Professional: Will got things done in under 30 mins. In addition, Will was very thorough in examining andexplaining the issue. What I love the most is that he cleaned up the area after the issue was fixed.

Transparent pricing: he's honest and it's a flat fee and very reasonable price. I got different quotes and his is the most transparent.

On-time: he was on time, which is a very big factor for me.

Overall, I recommend Will and After Hour Services, with passion.

Fixer - Seattle Plumbing Service
I'm a big Fixer fan. Every job has been completed fast, well, and with no inconvenience to my schedule. The Fixer expert also diagnosed different problems and was able to handle the unexpected. Friendly and courteous techs. I will used Fixer as often as I can.

Seatown Electric Plumbing Heating Air Plumbing Service
I hired Seatown for a panel upgrade. My 1950's house had a 100 amp service and an ancient panel that was maxed out.

They completed the work on time, and their work passed inspection, so from that standpoint, I would have to say it was a success. There were a number of things about the work they did that I am not happy with, however, and an issue with a very unprofessional interaction with one of their electricians that I'd like to talk about.

The new panel was installed in a different location than the original. It needed to be hung on a sheetrock wall, and I assumed they would just attache a plywood panel to the wall, then screw the panel to the plywood. Instead, they chose to attach 2x4s to the wall and hung the panel between them. The workmanship was unbelievable bad- they hacked up the wall with a sawzall, then screwed the 2x4s in place, splitting them in the process. I realize that electricians are not carpenters, but the quality of the workmanship was embarrassingly bad, and completely unnecessary. Additionally, by placing the panel between 2x4s, they blocked access to the knockouts on the sides of the panel, reducing the options available to me for expansion later.

The breakers that were installed were CFCI and AFCI, as required by code. These particular breakers have a 'pigtail' that connects to the neutral  bar in the panel. For some reason (laziness would be my guess), they connected these pigtails to the neutral bar below the breakers, and in doing so, once again severely limited the ability to add circuits later on. See the picture below.

For some reason, they took all the old breakers with them when they left. I had tried to find replacements for some of these prior to the panel upgrade, so I know they have some value. I didn't give them permission to remove my personal property, and as far as I'm concerned, this was theft.

The last thing I want to talk about is the callback we had to do. A few weeks after the panel install, we realized that the doorbell wasn't working anymore. It turned out they didn't move the transformer from the old panel to the new. They sent 2 people out, and they came to the house when I was at work, so my fiancee had to deal with them. She took them down to the basement, and they stood around for a while and behaved in a manner that made my fiancee extremely uncomfortable. She went back upstairs, and they spent another 20 minutes in the basement, presumably moving the transformer. When they finished, my fiancee asked what they fixed, and they lied to her and told her they hadn't done anything. Yet, suddenly the doorbell worked. I really have no idea why they decided they needed to gaslight my fiancee, maybe they have a corporate policy agains admitting mistakes? In any case, they were incredibly unprofessional.

Dean's Home Repair Plumbing Service
We had a leak in our garbage disposal and decided on Dean due to many positive reviews on Yelp. We called him on a Thursday and he came out the following morning. He did a great job with replacing our disposal and he was efficient! I highly recommend him.

Work not done to code & not willing to correct it without more money

Paid $1,500 to have hot water tank replaced - of course at their recommendations & then they did not even put on the earthquake straps that are required for code - they said I did not pay for it. This cost was in addition to the $700 I paid to have the bathtub drain fixed (which is what I called them out for). When I called them back regarding the straps they failed to place, I was told it would be a minimum of $300 to come back out and add the earthquake straps. It is terrible that they did not perform the work to code & that they will not stand behind what they should have done in the first place. I had other work done by another plumber, all up to code & for much less money.

Hunt's Services Plumbing Service
I had Hunts come to my home in November when it really started getting cold because my old furnace went out. They responded quickly and came out that week (2 kids my wife and I am freezing space heaters weren't cutting it) the guy that came started off well he wore booties dressed in work clothes seemed professional then he diagnosed my furnace that's a bit over 20 years old. He said the part that went out isn't made anymore so unless I can find it used they need to replace the whole unit. (Can't confirm this because they took the old one but talking to other professionals not very likely old furnaces are often able to be repaired) then the only furnace they had available was almost $10,000 but very efficient (no A/C with this unit gas unit) has a fancy 2 stage fan and things we weren't really concerned with. Luckily they had a finance plan usually would of shopped around but we were all freezing so we got the unit.

Once the unit was installed the house was nice cozy and warm again.... On the bottom floor due to the fancy fan it wasn't pushing enough air upstairs like our old furnace did. So we paid almost 3x what we could of and got a furnace that didn't work as well. Obviously the technicians get a cut for the more expensive equipment they sell and make the customer fell like they need it. I did give them a chance to try and fix it and the guy came and made it so the fan is always on basically making it less efficient than my old one. Only positive thing I have to say is the lady on the phone seems really nice and they were able to respond quicker than others although I wish I would of waited for someone else.

Beacon Plumbing - Seattle Plumbing Service
I needed to jump on here to try and counteract some of these bad reviews! I tried to DIY install some new smart light switches, and it quickly became more complicated than I could handle...especially once I started to smell a burning smell coming from my light fixtures! So I immediately panicked, shut off all the power to my house, and searched for an emergency electrician. I couldn't be happier that I found Beacon! Steven came out within two hours of my call, which I was so thankful for because the power to the whole house was shut off. Once he got here, he realized that there was some very strange wiring issues inside our house which was causing things to burn and even our smoke detectors started smoking, and unfortunately it was going to take some reinforcements. We had to keep the power shut off all night, which was OK because I was too scared to turn it on anyways. The next morning, Steven and Frank arrived right when they said they would, and they got to work. They investigated the problems, and were able to diagnose some wonky wiring and get us fixed up, and then they were able to properly install all three of our smart switches, and get everything back together. They spend nearly half a day at our house, and they didn't mind me watching over every single thing they did because I was pretty scared about the smoke that happened the previous day, and I wanted to learn as much as I could and also make sure everything looked right. I was pretty scared to get the bill, expecting thousands because this was an emergency call and they spend hours at our place. But Frank put it under 1300 and I couldn't be happier. I found that price to be very fair considering all the hours they spent, the immediate service they provided, and the peace of mind they gave us by ensuring that we were safe. They also gave us an estimate to replace our circuit panel since it's about 30 years old, but did not pressure me to immediately sign up to do this and let me think about it since it's quite an expense.

All in all, I couldn't have asked for better service. Steven and Frank explained everything they were doing for me, gave me advice about future installs, set up our fire alarms to be completely ready for install since we needed to replace them (and I just did it and it went fine). So I am extremely grateful for the friendly and informative, and most importantly thorough and immediate, service I received from Beacon. I know they have some critical reviews, but I can only speak to my experience and we are so happy that they came out so quickly and saved us!

A Advanced Septic & Construction Services Plumbing Service
BEWARE!!!!  Do not use this company!!! Charged for services not required or needed!!

Needed a required septic tank inspection and had used Advanced Septic 2 years earlier no problems with pumping my septic tank. This time out they told me I needed carpentry work to access my septic tank. Approximately $800 when I called and asked about it was I was told it needed to be rebuilt. But all they did was remove 2 boards. After many phone calls and emails with photos they reduced it $650. A lot of money to remove 2 boards. Also was told I needed my outlet line jetted for $350 and I agreed to have it done but when they came out the driver said he didn't have the right truck to do it. I told him to have someone come back and do it but no one ever came back or called.

I received a letter from Pierce County saying I needed to have my outline jetted or they would fine me. Called Advanced septic back and explain what had happened and was told they didn't care, it would be $399 for the first 1/2 hr and $399 for each additional 1/2hr with no idea how long it would take. Called other companies everyone was cheaper with fixed price. Sterling septic agreed to do it for $285. When they came out and looked at it they called me and said my outlet line was fine and didn't need to be jetted!!!!!
Called Advanced septic back and explained what happened and again was told they didn't care. I asked to be reimbursed for services not needed and was basically hung up on. I called right back and was told that person had left for the day 2:10 in the afternoo. I then asked to speak with the owner and was told he was out of town. I am still waiting for that call. Its been over 2 weeks. Please Please don't get ripped off like I did.

Beacon Plumbing Plumbing Service
Awesome job. I received a few bids for a larger water heater install in my home. I don't use plumbers very often and was a bit shocked at the price I received by all of the plumbers...but Beacon's price was in line with the other bids. They weren't the cheapest but what made me decide to go with them was they showed up on time, friendly, provided an on the spot estimate, & were ready to commit to the job. Troy and Kevin did an EXCELLENT job. My water heater is located in a finished daylight basement and was a bit of a challenge with access but they made it work flawlessly. I have a composite deck that they didn't even scratch moving the old and new water heater around. Additionally they protected the carpet and everything was spotless when they left! Thanks again for the great work and stress free transaction!

Black Hills Plumbing Service
Very professional local company.  Yes, I've gotten a little cheaper quotes from out of town companies, but this one is a local business and they've always been responsive.  They installed our furnace and did a retrofit for ducting.  I am very pleased with the quality of work and the continued maintenance plan.  I always recommend Black Hills.
