5 stars for this company. I had multiple vendors and many had added random irrelevant work that padded the  job. All American is no nonsense. They were prompt, professional, and trustworthy. Plumber justin cam out performed quality  work and left it the place clean. The tech is knowledgeable and truly understands the needs of the homeowner. Highly recommend this company.

Working with this company was awesome, I requested a quote and he was the only plumber willing to provide a quote by sending him pictures vs having to come out first. I needed a water filtration system installed under my kitchen sink and right in the middle of the install the plumber realized the filter itself had a broken part. It was very frustrating but they made it less of a hassle since they were willing to come back out once I had the replacement part at no extra charge! Now that is customer service. Oliver was very friendly and read the instruction manual cover to cover just to be sure it was installed correctly. I'd hire these guys again in a heartbeat. Now I have clean water to drink and no more water bottles!

We had a water leak. Everyone was helpful and identified the problem quickly. Jacob Blew took over the job when another emergency came up. He did a great job! Everyone was very helpful and resolved leak our issues.

We had new plumbing added to our garage refrigerator so that the ice/water would work. Our tech David was polite, fast and effective, and he even took a look at our water heater for us and gave us some advice on it. Highly recommend!

Armstrong did an excellent job for me on a full house repipe. This is a 3-bath, two story house built in 1985. I decided on a repipe after discovering a slab leak. I talked to and received quotes from 5 contractors in all and decided on Armstrong because after meeting with Matt Farmer (Operation Manager) I sized him up as someone who knew what he was talking about and would be conscientious in execution. His quote for the work, as I discovered, was reasonable and fair.  I liked very much that with Armstrong, the person who gives you the quote and explains what the job entails is also the person who does the actual work, at least in the case of a big job like this. Before deciding on what company to use, I want to have met and taken the measure of the actual, principal worker. (With some contractors, an estimator comes out but then they in turn hire whomever on their list happens to be available.)

One thing Armstrong did for me is surely not typical of plumbing contractors.  I told Matt that I wanted to do the drywall repair myself instead of using a drywall contractor. (I had been told by then that my cost for the drywall work, not including repainting, would likely run $1,500 - $1,800.)  I am handy in a general way and although I had never done drywall or anything related to construction, I figured I could learn to do it. (I was right.) When I told Matt my plan to do the drywall repair myself, he said that they could make the cuts neat and rectangular, and do it so that I would have wood exposed that I could drill into; that they could even put in a piece of wood for screws as needed. They were also careful to keep any cut out square that was still in good shape and were able to put two of them back in the wall. Not only that, but they told me what tools to buy to do the drywall work and I went to Home Depot and got the few hand tools I needed, a dimpler for my drill, the mud they recommended (Westpac premixed lightweight) and a first spray can of wall texture for doing the texture called knockdown. As I was doing my first repair, on the wall behind where the dishwasher goes, they gave me pointers and Matt demonstrated with the drywall knife. When I was looking at having to do my first texturing on an area behind a toilet that was ready to go back, Matt actually did the texturing for me so I could watch and learn to do it. (If you have knockdown at your house versus, say, orange peel you are lucky because knockdown turns out to be easy and fast to do.) The intro to drywall that Armstrong gave me made it possible for me to get started right away and achieve good results. I completed the work needed so they could put two bathroom mirrors back in place and reinstall a toilet. With the other openings, which are in ceilings and walls and will be visible, I will slow down and take my time.

When I have told people (that would be two neighbors, a family member and a staff member in the construction dept. at Home Depot) how Armstrong helped me get started on the drywall, their reaction has been uniformly along the lines of, A contractor did that for you? They did it and they did it with good grace.

A final thing stands out for me.  The dishwasher was put back at the very end of the job. (I don't use the dishwasher day to day because I don't generate enough stuff to wash to make it worthwhile.) When we ran a test, in the in the dishwasher's drain cycle the water started spewing out of the release over the sink. It turned out that the guy who initially installed the garbage disposer some time back failed to remove a plug that allows the dishwasher to drain through there. The plug is supposed to be removed by the installer before the unit goes under the sink. Matt was able to get in and remove the plug, after which the dishwasher drained properly. I consider it a courtesy on his part to have done this troubleshooting, seeing as how not only was this not his mistake in the first place, it was, truth to tell, outside the scope of the repipe he had quoted and that I was paying him for. I'm pretty most contractors would have said, this is a separate problem and I will fix it for X amount. So, Matt, thank you for that.

All in all, I feel like I hit the jackpot with this company. They are professional and easy to work with. They communicate well. They will ask you what your preference is if there are different options at some juncture in the work, and explain each option. The team of two, that would be Matt and another plumber, worked very well together. The three people in all who did work here all were very experienced plumbers, not trainees or novices. Matt himself has about 20 years experience and it shows.

Daniel was great and he serviced our failed toilet wax ring immediately and even installed two new wax rings (for the same price) to avoid the potential of my toilet ever leaking again into the unit below like it did. His work was fast, professional and the price was reasonable. Very glad that I looked him up on Yelp and decided to move forward with Express.

Office staff was knowledgeable on rates.  I quoted exactly what I needed.  Plumber executed the bid, no overage, no wasting my time.   They arrived on time.  I will be using them again. A+

Had a bad experience.   Fixing appointment was a bit easier.   The plumber showed up at 1pm. (Appointment was between 12noon to 3pm).  Then was reluctant to do the job.  He went to get his tools from truck.  But was on a call with someone till 2:45pm.  After I put pressure he came in.  Was ready to find some issue of everything.   Wanted to give an estimate of what I do not need.   I had requested him to close the issue and cancel the work.     This may be this particular staff on a bad day.   My entire day was wasted.

Omar and his team goes above and beyond! Omar was quick to reply to a request for a quote and gave very fair pricing. Miguel came out within a couple hours to take a look at some valves under our sink and replace them. Looks like there's going to be other work that needs to be done but communication was great: everything was explained well, honest and friendly! Thank you, thank you!

I was a little skeptical of these guys, because we had some scheduling issues up front, but they made up for it.  We were in the process of making an offer on a house and they found issues that the inspector as well as the sewer pros missed when they came out.  Saved me potentially tens of thousands of dollars.  Very thorough, Freddy was patient and explained to me in detail the problems, the potential issues the problems may cause and different fixes.  I learned way more and know more about sewer pipes than any person in the industry has a right to know.   Miguel was good too, he's like the Sammy Hagar of plumbing, but Freddy is the David Lee Roth.  Bottom line, I will not hesitate to use these guys again.

I can't remember the guys name who stopped out but he was quick to respond, quick to solve the issue and being that he happened to be so close to where i live he didn't charge me.  Unbelievable.  I still gave him some money out of guilt for his time and expertise and I Will be using him in the future.

Dave saved the day. He was able to come over and replace my laundry room water valves with in a couple hours of me calling.

It turns out that hard water will ruin those valves over time. Now I have new ones :-)

He is professional and nice too. The work is excellent, and price is reasonable.

The office lady was nice when I called. She was able to give an accurate estimate. She gave a good time window for the plumber to arrive.

Burtech was the only plumber available to respond to an urgent leak, and we appreciated their fast reply and friendly service.  However their pricing is shocking, $350 for a 30 minute fix and a $20 hose spigot.  My lawyer costs less money.  When the problem still wasn't fixed and it leaked again, they honored their work and came out again but tried to get even more money from us!    They are good for an urgent fix but if you can get anyone else or another estimate I would definitely go with a less expensive plumber.

Just had my toilet plumbing fixed by elite rooter, Jose specifically. I shopped around and picked them because they had the best price. I was trying to fix my bathroom for two days and once Jose got here it was solved in 45 minutes!!!!

These guys are awesome. They come when they say they will, prices are reasonable, and they make sure the job's done right.

I had a tub replaced and there ended up being some extra problems with the sub flooring (pre-existing - nothing they did) and they just took care of it with no fuss.

My previous plumber was having trouble following through with what they promised, so this is a huge improvement.

First off... The name... California Plumbing, at 421 Date Ave, Imperial Beach 91932.  Be sure that this is the California Plumbing you are looking for.  I noticed several other California Plumbing businesses with variations on name or same when I went to write this review.
Second, the price quoted is the price I received even though other plumbers would and have in the past added on to the bill.
Narration:  I needed four half inch angle valves replaced and have the water lines reconnected.  Not only were the lines reconnected but my plumber replaced the old ones with new.  Flanges to the wall were also replaced.  The job was QUICK, QUIET, PROFESSIONAL, and CLEAN.
LASTLY the communication was mostly via YELP messaging and worked great.  Fast also, and little chance for miscommunication as everything is in writing already :)  

Everyone is nervous when they call a plumber, well don't be California Plumbing is a name you can trust.  (Note: As I said earlier be sure you are getting the right California Plumbing as there are more than one.)
