We started our service only in small residential areas, but after a few years we hired more techs and expanded our service to residential and commercial areas with services in plumbing, drain cleaning, and remodeling work. Fred is awesome! He was able to accommodate for my garbage disposal swap out pretty quickly after my initial call, but since I have tenants it was a bit harder to coordinate. However, Fred was very accommodating and provided additional time slots.
His prices were very competitive. The best one I found around the area. He was able to provide quote over the phone as well.
Payment wise I just sent it through zelle. Super convenient!
10/10 would recommend :)
We woke up early this morning to a pipe leak destroying our ceiling!

I've never done a tankless water heater flush before. Ours is due, and glad that I came across their service. The job is straightforward. Fred showed up on time, set up his kit, and all was done in about 45 min. Spent time chatting with him during the cleaning process. Seem like a very nice and respectable professional.
I recommend Fred if you need the same service. Very reasonable pricing as well! Other quotes I received were surprisingly high.
I received multiple bids for toilet installation through yelp and went with this business because it was most reasonably priced and for its great reviews. Fred was super prompt to respond on Yelp and offered to pick up the home depot ordered toilet for installation. Pricing was straightforward and no fancy marketing and mark up of labor compared to other plumbers. Despite being away from home he promptly arrived at the scheduled time window, communicated ahead and got the job done in short time. I was informed all through the process. I trusted him to deliver as promised and he did despite not being present for installation. Thank you Fred for the super prompt service at a superb price. Will definitely call him for future upgrades/ issues.

We had virtually no water coming to the house. The team did some troubleshooting over the phone, showed up and got straight to work. They not only restored service, but improved the water pressure by replacing the regulator. They were fast and efficient. I would definitely hire again. (North County, San Diego, Carmel Valley)

Reached out to Fred to replace a 19 year old AC unit. After checking out the old unit and furnace he provided an estimate and scheduled the work a week later. Fred and his team does excellent work and Fred was always onsite checking the work and making sure it was done correctly.
New AC unit works great. Couldn't be happier.
We asked around for several quotes for a new heating/ac system. All of them gave us outrageous numbers. My husband did his own calculations on material costs so he had an idea of what would be reasonable. Fred was the most reasonable and most responsive. We loved that he wasn't sales-y aka pushy about getting our business. He is honest and reliable. He brought one of his technicians, Dima, with him to the first visit. They talked openly about where they would run the lines, etc. It was an awesome first impression. They are truly professionals!
Initially, we were thinking the system wouldn't be installed until February or March, but Fred was able to obtain all of the parts and have Dima start the install within a couple of weeks.
The job was to install mini split systems in 4 of the rooms instead of the traditional central HVAC system. It's more work that way, but most energy efficient for us.
Dima did a fantastic job with the installs. Much better than what we expected. On top of Dima's professionalism, he was super considerate and respectful of our child's nap times by doing all the non-drilling work during her naps.
I'd definitely recommend Fred and Dima :)

After the old water heater burst and soaked the drywall, and the damage was renovated, I hired American Ace Plumbing to reinstall the new water heater. Fred and his crew did an excellent job, completing the job promptly and meeting the code requirements. This is no job for amateurs!

Our kitchen sink was backing up (had been since we moved into this house a year ago) so we thought we needed to install brand new pipes. They checked it out, said pipes looked fine, and they flushed out the drain. We never put any food down, but apparently we put grease because that's what flushed out. Sink drains easily now. Gave me the price estimates upfront and were efficient.

I used American Ace when I had a water leak and was very satisfied with the service so when I woke up to find out my furnace quit working I called American. I left a voice mail and 15 minutes later Fred called me back and said he could be here in 2 hours to 5 hours. After an hour and a half I got a call from Fred saying he was at the front door.
Fred got my furnace running again in no time. He is knowledgeable, experienced and above all I found him to be trustworthy. I was an industrial electrician for 35 years. I have no experience with HVAC and it was out of my comfort zone to try to fix it myself but I know enough to know when someone is blowing smoke up my......Not Fred. He is a straight shooter and tells it like it is. Plus, the cost was very reasonable. You cannot go wrong with this company.
Our air conditioner broke last night. I needed it fixed ASAP because I could not sleep. Called our normal place and couldn't come out until next week. I called this company because of his glowing reviews. He said he would come at 6:00 PM the same day and he was able to come at 3:30 PM. Fred was quickly able to diagnose the problem. He didn't have the part in his truck but he drove to his place of business and got the part. He was back here in 10 minutes and installed the part. The total repair took approximately 30 minutes. Nice guy and reasonably priced especially for same day service! We have now asked him for a quote to replace our HVAC unit. Definitely a Godsend!

Super responsive and reliable. I feel comfortable with using American Ace Plumbing and they have become my go to for anything plumbing and HVAC related.
Dima did a fantastic job of installing a new A/C and furnace for my home. I have looked for a good and reliable A/C company for half a year and finally knew about American Ace Plumbing. They provided the best price comparing to other A/C companies. Dima and Fred provided lots of assistances to help me get an approval from HOA. During the process of project, Dima carefully checked my attic and layout of my house, and he always tried to offer the best solutions. Fred also patiently answered to our questions. They are very reliable and professional. If I know them early, I should have A/C early.
Very responsive. Reasonable prices. They replaced the connectors to the gas for our dryer. Pretty good job. Was nice they showed the meter/measure before and after. Very good and reassuring. Funny to hear the one guy yelling at the other, probably their way of communicating... seemed like good guys. Give them a try!

i called to inquire for business and your rude representative hung up. he could not handle the questions i was inquiring on. he hangs up instead of deferring to a professional. your employees are a reflection of your company. if this is how your employees are then doing business is not recommended. improve your customer care quality or train that employee!

He did his best to defuse the situation and straighten things out. While this should not have occurred in the first place, I am willing to give this company a chance at business. Okay, so if I could give Fred six stars, I absolutely would. I called several plumbers regarding a leaky toilet on Thursday morning. None of them (including Fred) had any availability that day, but he had the earliest availability which was Friday between 4-6PM. He asked me to text him my address, which I did... except I accidentally texted the wrong number. (Sad trombone.)
I didn't figure this out until Friday at 5:45 PM. (The people who I *did* text neglected to let me know that I had the wrong number.) At that point I called Fred, explained what had happened, and he sweetly offered to come out on Saturday between 3-5. He also asked me to send him some photos of the leaky toilet.
He came right on time (shortly after three) and immediately diagnosed the problem. I told him that we're planning to remodel that bathroom and he said that we could either fix it or simply turn off the water to that toilet until we demo the bathroom. (We chose to do the latter.) He also gave us some advice on an unrelated issue which he spotted in the pictures that I had sent.
Despite our protests he refused to charge us a fee for the visit because he didn't fix anything. This is clearly a man who is invested in his work, takes a lot of pride in it, and knows his stuff. I will absolutely be contacting him for my plumbing needs in the future.
The price was fair and the work was done well. If I had one recommendation, it would be to bring drop cloths since we have new carpet upstairs. We ended up using our own, so it was not a big deal.
Fred replaced a delta cartridge in our master shower. The set screw and ring were stuck due to the hard water deposits from SD water.
Got a new stove and it didn't fit because of the gas line. Fred came in and made it fit with no damage to the wall. Fred came in and got the work done with no extra or hidden charges.
Fred was courteous and very responsive, especially for a weekend urgent need. Professional and reliable!
The AC was dripping through the secondary line because the main line was clogged. I called another AC company to check it out. They came and flushed the line but they blamed a plumbing under the sink for it and they charged me $240 without fixing it. I found a plumber to look at it but plumber said it was ok and there is no piping issues under the sink. I decided to give it another shot and reached out to American Ace plumbing for diagnosis and fixing. Fred showed up and used vacuum to clear and clean the line. He charged me only $140. The line is open and there is no dripping. Great job to Fred for taking care of this in less than 30 minutes and charging me at such a great price. I highly recommend this company and inn future i will be using them and recommending them to others.
We had Fred come out due to our shower leaking. He was able to come out the same day & charged a reasonable price. Would highly recommend this company!! We'll use this company for any future plumbing needs.
After the first plumbing company bid $350 to replace two owner-supplied bathroom faucets and proceeded to change the quote to $1500 when they arrived, we called Ace who had bid slightly higher. They also increased to quote but only to $700. I understood the reason for the increase and felt $700 was a good rate. The plumber was on time, efficient, and the work was high quality. I recommend them and we plan to call them again soon
Discovered a leak in water heater. Called Fred and he was at my house within the hour. Replaced the heater, updated everything according to code. Very nice man. Did a great job and within 4 hours I had a brand new water heater working perfectly. Thanks Fred!

Highly recommend this company--they installed a tankless hot water heater and a new toilet for me. Highly-skilled, focused on doing the job properly, very reasonable prices, trustworthy, and reliable.
My garage disposal was out, They came out and had it replaced Bout 45 minutes, it working fine.
Fred is the best plumber I've found in over twenty years. He was excellent in his service, communication was fast and he responded quicker than anybody when I had a plumbing situation suddenly appear with my water heater. I will call American Ace Plumbing for all of my plumbing needs from now on.

Woke up this morning to a leak from the pipe connected to our washing machine. Called Fred from American Ace and he said they could come out this afternoon, and we're here by 1pm & done fixed in less than an hour. Fred & his assistant were super professional, both wore masks & shoe covers, and took care of everything! Highly recommend.
It was a sudden emergency! In the morning, I noticed that our 36 year-old water pressure regulator in the garage had started dripping. By afternoon, a steady stream of water was pouring out of it, so I closed the main water shut-off valve and then turned to Yelp to find a plumber in our general area who could come pronto.
The first three were unable to send a plumber for several days, then I got in touch with Fred of American Ace Plumbing. He is local and said he could come soon, but in the meantime asked that I text him a photo of the failed device. A few minutes later, he texted back with an estimate. I don't know whether or not it was competitive, but I had nothing to compare it with and quick action was needed anyway, so I accepted. Fred showed up less than 2 hours later with a replacement regulator and got to work. It was necessary for him to replace the copper pipe into which the old regulator was installed, which he did in a professional manner (I've done a little copper pipe soldering in my time). He finished the job in a little less than an hour and I am pleased with finished job. The new regulator is all metal as opposed to the original which was plastic. I must say I was impressed with his forethought in asking for a photo and his efficiency in bringing a replacement.
My home came with an older AC unit and furnace. I've relied on Fred and team to check on them every year and they've done a great job with maintenance and never trying to upsell me. While I'm glad my old units are still running without any issues, I wouldn't hesitate to work with them when it's time for replacements.

Our AC fan outsode our house spinning on Friday afternoon. Fred was able to come over in a couple of hours and correctly diagnose the issue. He successfully did the repair the next day and the AC now works great.
Fred is also an amazing teacher who explains the AC mechanism in an easy to understand manner. I just felt after this experience that it was more than a transaction-

We were installing an built in fridge (that we had waited months for) and found out our installer didn't have the correct parts on his truck to install the new water line & valve. I scrambled to find a plumber but didn't feel comfortable with anyone I spoke to before Fred. He responded to me immediately and I was able to send him pictures of the area that I needed him to work on. Fred is amazing. I had a water leak in garage from the AC unit above the furnace. He diagnosed the issue and fixed it without any complication/drama within 15mins. He also brought his team and made 2nd trip to do more detail measurement in case the AC unit has to be replaced since it is quite old and it's not easy to install new units. The best part for me is he explained to me all my options so I can make my own decision.
Sink clogged on Saturday before next day party after Bill Howe allegedly fixed earlier that month. Called BH - never called me back! Local guy in San Marcos we've used multiple times for many big jobs never called back. A couple others who claimed 24/7 service said they could come Monday.
But Fred came first thing next morning and did a thorough job at a very fair price and offered advice to stop from happening again
The owner shows up 12 hours after you call on a weekend? Now that's service! Highly recommend!
My house is about 20 years old and I've lived in it for 5 years. I called American Ace the first time I had a leaking sink and have been calling them back ever since for all of my plumbing and air conditioning needs. Fred is very responsive via phone or text and is usually able to schedule with me promptly. His work is always great and I've appreciated his advice regarding how much life a plumbing fixture or AC unit has left in it so I can plan accordingly. I recently had him replace a 3-ton HVAC system for the upstairs, even with carrying everything up and down his crew completed the job in less than two days and the price was very fair. If you live in the service area I highly recommend American Ace!

I contacted American Ace because of their great reviews on Yelp. I wasn't disappointed. They responded to mu inquiry very quickly and were able to come take care of the repairs needed within a day.
They were very professional, their prices are reasonable (I should have been a plumber), and they just send me an invoice by e-mail since they didn't take payment at the time of the repairs.
Good guys, honest, reliable and professional! I'm keeping their information handy for next time.
Fred's the best! He helped us a few times at our home in Mira Mesa, including installing a new thermostat. I originally found American Ace Plumbing here on Yelp, and found him to be the most knowledgeable and reasonable, compared with other plumbers we had tried. Recently, we needed leaky valves replaced when our new washing machine was delivered to our current home in Poway. Fred came to the rescue. He also helped with our heater and faucet repairs during the same visit. Professional, efficient and honest work. Impressive!

Punctual, Knowledgeable & Reasonable Prices
In addition that one of my bathrooms had a single handle bathtub faucet leak; I was also searching for a new plumber. I'm always doing home improvement & search for good contractors. I text called a number of contractors. Each handed me a minimum & a maximum amount or they wanted to come over for free estimate. Fred was the only one who responded with an exact diagnosis, pinpointed the part needed & how much it costs!
I asked him to schedule me. He showed up on the dot & he fixed the problem rapidly. He quickly replaced the cartridge & he did not have to replace the valve. No digging & cutting tiles was needed. Fred pinpointed the problem in the text & in person. No beating around the bush, no wasting of his or my time, simple & brief, fast work & good service.
Fred's prices are reasonable & he has been doing this for over 15 years. He has all types of certificates & he took all types of courses in his field. American Ace Plumbing does various heating, air-conditioning & plumbing jobs. Fred has a number of employees which he trained well. They do everything from drain cleaning, faucet installation, toilet installation, pipe installation, garbage disposal installation, bathtub & shower, A/C, Heater, thermostat, all the way to swear service, gas & electric furnace. They repair & install all types of plumbing fixtures, appliances & service them. They work long hours from 6:30 AM to 11:45 PM and are always on the call for emergencies.
Before I hired him, I ran a journalistic background check, BBB, Licensing, insurance, bond & read reviews on him. Fred is a top notch contractor with a great history & many satisfied clients. This guy does not hand you stories of 1001 nights, nor beats around the bush. He pinpoints the problem & tells you how much it cost. He fixes the problem quickly & makes sure that you are satisfied to become a return customer. Don't try to beat his prices because I had already checked around & he is very competitive.
I was mostly impressed about Fred's punctuality, knowledge & fast service. It is very important for me to have a contractor who is on the dot. I learned some interesting plumbing hints from him. I like to always learn at least one thing from my contractors. He informed me of a plumbing technical fact about cartridges which I was not aware of & he showed me how to set my cartridge temperature upon my liking from cold to hot degrees. Fred knows his stuff. I believe I found my new plumber. Check him out because I have already test drove his work & he passed my perfectionist test.
I had American Ace replaced my water regulator valve and a shut off valve that goes with it. The owner Fred responded my call for quote swiftly and stopped by my house to give me a quote. The quote was reasonable, in-line with other quotes I got. But the fact that his initial response was so quick that impressed me. I gave him the job and he did a very fine job. And he took the time to clean up. He was courteous throughout our interactions. I would not hesitate to use him again for any plumbing needs.

I called last week to schedule an appointment to have someone check out our AC unit. The guy I talked to said he could come out Monday between 10 and 12 and would text me to get the address. I never heard from the guy again and now it's Monday afternoon. I'm going with a more reliable company. Don't waste your time with them.

Outstanding service. Very frank and very punctual. They charged $185 for replacing the capacitor of my AC unit (parts and labor included).
The only complaint I have is that you cannot ask them to do anything else which was not discussed prior to them arriving.
In November, 2020, my furnace was not kicking out hot air. Called Fred on Tuesday afternoon and scheduled an appointment for Friday morning. A couple hours later on Tuesday, Fred called me - he was in the area and available, so he headed over. He identified the problem quickly, showed me how to do a quick look for future problems, then stuck around for 10 minutes to make sure the problem was solved. Perfect service!
If you're wondering how American Ace has over 250 ratings of 5, here's my experience. I've had the misfortune of having two leaky pipes in the last five years. Fred has repaired both plus he installed a toilet. This last pipe to be repaired was not very easy to access due to the small amount of space he and his partner had to work in inside the wall and from underneath the sink in our vanity. He especially had to be careful not to start a fire inside the wall with the acetylene torch used to join the new pipe to the old. I knew from the last two jobs he would do excellent work and he did so again on this more challenging job. They arrived mid-afternoon and stayed until the job was completed around 7:00. I like also that texts and keeps you informed of his ETA and if he will be a little late. He's good at his job very professional so I would highly recommend Fred.

We had a leaking pipe in our ceiling just as we were leaving on vacation. We had used Fred for a previous plumbing repair and he had done a excellent job at a good price. We called him in an emergency this time and he came within an hour, located the leak, and quickly repaired it on a Sunday morning, no less! Given the water damage caused by the leak, Fred was able to provide us with a referral for a water damage/flood mitigation service which we used, and they came quickly as well and began the drying and restoration process. We were thankfully able to leave for vacation only a few hours late. Thank you Fred!

Fred is simply the best! I had a leak in a drain pipe and reached out to two other top rated plumbing companies in yelp. One of them never showed up. So I went ahead with the other one. They spent a whole day and still couldn't fix the leak and finally told me that this is not a job they can do and suggested using a tape to fix the leak! I reached out to Fred and he did his best to accommodate my job in his schedule the very next day. He clearly told me it's not going to be an easy job but was confident that he could get it done. Fred and Ken showed up on time to swap out my water heater. Ace American was perfectly okay with me going to Home Depot and buying my own, which they were willing to pick up for me. They made sure that the installation was compliant with code regulations and cleaned up afterwards. This is the second time I've used them and I highly recommend them for both plumbing and HVAC.
Called them when one of our a/c units went down 2 days ago and they found time for us. They fixed the unit promptly and at a very reasonable price. I like to recognize great service when I get it and will use them in the future if needed.
Fred and his college just got done fixing our faucet leak in our bathroom. He did the job within 25 minutes. I called this morning and he was able to come before 3 pm. He quoted me for pricing that others couldn't beat. I will definitely call him again for any plumbing issues.

We have a tenant who had a problem with no heat and no air. I swung by to confirm did the standard trouble shooting reset and nothing still.

My cousin goes out of town and I come over to visit my aunt who staying with the her kids. I get there to find out the AC isn't working and it's 3pm on Saturday Labor Day weekend. The temp outside is about 110 degrees and 90 degrees in the house. Making several calls, nobody is available until Tuesday except one man. Yep....Fred. Showing up at 8:30 PM Saturday night on a holiday weekend with his phone blowing up with desperate people looking for help and an angry wife who wants to go out of town, Fred saves the day. There were no extra charges for holiday/weekend/late night call.

I had a very pleasant experience with this company. We had our 15 year old A.C. Condenser go out on us during a major heat wave here in San Diego. I called Fred the owner here and with in 30 minutes he was at my house with suggestions, which were half the price that other plumbing companies were quoting.
Within a few days he had his crew here replacing the condenser with a brand new one and it is working great.
I felt very comfortable with his crew here in the house. They were very kind and clean. The owner asked that I wait a week to pay him so that I can be really sure the unit was working the way I wanted it too. I call that old fashion customer service. He really wanted to be sure I was happy as a customer.
A few days later I needed a plumber to look at a leak in the first floor ceiling. I called the owner here, Fred, and within 4 hours of my call he was here and fixing the issue for a very reasonable price.
I highly recommend this company. You definitely benefit from that small town feeling when you work with these guys!

Last summer we had another company come out and the only option they gave us was to purchase a new unit for $7K for our downstairs. Had we not just bought a new unit for our rental home in Wildomar, we probably would have gotten suckered into it.

We have used this plumbing company and Fred for a number of years now and they are very reliable, honest and professional. They have helped us fix leaks, our water heater and most recently a leaky hot water valve to have our new washing machine installed. I really appreciated that they were able to come within only an hour of my call and they came within the timeframe that they said they would. They are very organized and clean and had everything completed within an hour. The quote was also reasonable and they charged exactly what they quoted. I highly recommend this company.

They just left my house after doing an efficient and excellent job at a great price! They explained, in very understandable terms, why are heater did not work any longer. It needed a new circuit board. Rather than just ordering the part, they went out and got one, and came back and installed it.
We had some questions about preventative maintenance. They explained what we could do on our own, and said the best time for the preventative maintenance in our system is next spring rather than them getting paid right now.
I will DEFINITELY have them back for PMs as well as any plumbing/HVAC issues in the future!

Upon writing this review, Fred decided that it was appropriate to text me at 1:30 a.m in the morning and I have 3 missed calls from him on a Sunday. Talk about rude and unprofessional.
I am totally fine with him not feeling comfortable with doing a quote along side a competitor. (Although why not? other companies were fine with doing a walk through and sending us a quote.) As long as you call me or text me to let know so we are not waiting for you.
I merely juxtaposing our experience with the 3 other companies and this was the worst.
The facts are
1 Fred did not call or text to let us know someone was coming.
2 No one texted us or called us to let us know that someone was there and can't do the estimate.
3. No one texted us or called us after doing a walk through that was less thorough as the other 3 companies.
Lastly, all the other three companies sent us a quote within hours. This company IS UNPROFESSIONAL. Unless you enjoy receiving midnight text messages from Fred. Please look else where.

I asked four AC companies to come out and quote us between 8-10. Including westcoast and precision air. This is the only company that did not give us a text or phone call to let us know that they were coming. They did not show up. Once again no text no phone call. I called them to see if they are coming at 10:30 after having waited and Fred responded rudely that he went there but because another company was there and he opted to not give us an estimate. Hm... that seems strange. Especially because he decided to do this without giving us notice while we were waiting for him. He could have texted us to tell us that he was there and can't do the estimate.
So I said fine and rescheduled with him the following week. He came by and did a haphazard walk through not even remotely professional compared to the other 3 companies and once again no message no text. I reached out on yelp two days later and asked him if he gave us a quote and he responded, Yes I went out there but I can't do this installation No reason given. He wasted so much time. If something looks fishy and smells fishy ...
Business must be too good. Look else where.
We used American Ace to fix a broken kitchen sink. They were very prompt in answering our messages. I sent a picture of the broken sink with the replacement and based on the pictures itself, we were given a quote. I decided to go with them and they were very easy to work with and did a great job. I recommend their service.
Fred is the best. The. Best. He has done many projects for me over the past few years, from air conditioning, to plumbing jobs, to managing a few water leaks we've had, to fridge repairs...on and on! He is my GO TO guy any time I have a problem. He responds almost immediately to my calls or texts, and often shows up earlier than the quoted time. One summer during a heat wave, my AC went out the day of my son's birthday party. He came over right away to fix it for me so the kids could be comfortable and the party would not be ruined. He is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He makes recommendations but never pressures a sale. His prices are fair and I never have to question him. If there is an aspect of a job that he can't complete, he has great connections to other reliable businesses that can do the job. For example, when we had a pipe burst in the wall of the kitchen, after repairing and stopping the leak, he recommended a remediation company, and they were fantastic. I called and left a voicemail for someone to contact me. I just moved to the area and wanted have someone come out to give me an estimate on installing central air. No one called back. A few days later, I called again and was told that the reason he didn't call was because he doesn't have availability to meet with me since he is so busy. As a fellow business owner, the right thing to do would be to call the prospect back and let them know you appreciate their call but would not be able to assist at this time but hope you can help them in the future. This company lost any current and future business and referrals from me. I'm taking my business elsewhere. Hope they don't come to a time where they need new clients.

My go to HVAC company! I used them on both of my properties and they did a great job (for a reasonable price) on both. Left the place as clean as they arrived and went above and beyond in the scope of repair.
Our heater stopped working so I decided to make an appointment with American Ace. I was able to make an appointment for the same day. He came over and figured out it was not a problem with our heater, but a problem with how our solar panels were installed. He did not even charge us for our visit! Out of no where we had water flowing out from under our driveway on a Friday. We tried calling different plumbers & Fred was the only one who responded quick & showed up.
He was very quick to diagnose the problem & he even took me to a home nearby where they had worked on similar problem.
He was very upfront about the changes that was going to happen after the work interms of concrete color & type.
Fred got his business partner Aron to have a look at the issue as well. As he was working some place else he told will be late & came in even when it was 9pm.
Fred, Aron & team are real dedicated people. They woked till midnight to get things moving quick. Aaron was gracious to put in a temp line so that we could continue living in the house as the water was completely shut off.
They stuck to the intial quote which i was told by friends as a great deal. My insurance did not paymy claim. As it was a big amount, Fred even helped me by giving me some time to pay.
Summing up we are extremely satisfied with Fred, Aaron & the whole team. You are the best & Thank you very much.
Fred and his associate Aaron did an excellent job to re-pipe water from the meter to house. They dug under the stamped concrete pathway to prevent any damage. To ensure water was available to the house whilst the work was being done they had a temporary hose attached. Aaron came out on a Sunday to fix the irrigation issue. Great set of guys! Will call them again for all my plumbing needs!

After discovering a slab leak, we called American Ace. We wanted new copper pipe and pex they installed pex. We have a baby and it was suggested we stay in a hotel while the work was completed. Before I left, I confirmed scope of work but came home to the wrong material. They had to come back and redo it. Incredibly inconvenient to us.

While they were not able to help me right away (they were booked up due to the holiday), they recommended another company that was able to come out right away and find my water main leak.
I really like when a company is willing to do that. It shows that they understand my situation and are willing to help me even if they don't get the business.
I will contact them again when I need their services.
They were able to replace my leaking water heater the same day (Saturday) at a fair price. There were two people and the lead person was clearly a well experienced and highly competent professional with a competent and careful assistant. They improved the installation and left things neat and clean. They wore masks and communicated well so the whole experience was excellent. I would use them again without hesitation.

Used Fred for the second time today, and I will never use another AC repair company. Fred arrived on time, quickly figured out I had a capacitor issue. which he replaced right away and was gone in less than 20 minutes. He could have actually charged me double what he did, and I would still think I was getting a good deal.
I had a similar positive experience with Fred two years ago, so I made sure he was in my phone contacts under air conditioning repair.
It's so good to know there are still professionals out there that can quickly diagnosis an issue, and charge you a reasonable amount to fix it. I cannot say enough good things about Fred and the quality of his work.
I can't say enough about this plumber. He came through last minute in the rain at night when another plumber no showed. American ace saved the day. We had multiple plumbing and leaking issues he fixed. He is a great plumber and very knowledgeable. We will definitely be going to him in the future.

Fred is great!! Very fairly priced, reliable, fits us in, and an all around great guy! I am in real estate and often need a knowledge and honest plumber on short notice and he has never disappointed.
I just purchased a condo with a leaky bathroom sink issue. Wasn't sure if the supply line needed to be replaced or maybe the faucet handle cartridge. So I did my own research on YouTube, but decided to let a professional check this out (because let's be honest, I have no business trying to fix this).
I called Fred and had an appointment the NEXT day. He was early, gave me an estimate, gave me options and advice, and let me decide (which was to replace the faucet fixture since it was rotted/rusted and the cartridge needed replacing anyway). I went to Home Depot to grab the new faucet fixture. Although he told me EXACTLY what I needed to buy, my dumb self got flustered, feeling in a hurry and not finding a Home Depot helper... and bought the wrong darn fixture! WTH is wrong with me! I had one job. Fred was kind and told me I bought the wrong one.
Here is what was truly impressive: Fred went to Home Depot WITH ME (only about 1.5 miles away) to choose the right one. He went through a few boxes and helped me pick a good brand, with good quality and at a decent/moderate price. Who does that?!!?? I'll tell you who. My dad would. Only my dad. So I am so grateful I called American Ace. He installed it quickly and, after a week, all is well in my bathroom!

I called Fred yesterday evening after realizing our downstairs AC wasn't blowing air. He wasn't going to be available until after Tuesday. He told me not to turn on the AC unit from downstairs until it's fixed as it could cause the condenser (?) to freeze. He promised to call back later if there is a cancellation. Then he called/texted today saying he had a cancellation as someone near my area cancelled and there was a spot. Sweet! He came, figured it out fast and was out in 40 minutes. He even checked out our other fan motor to make sure it's fine. AC now works. He was honest and upfront about what needed to be done. Price for parts and labor is reasonable. He is very courteous and efficient.
Fred was very responsive and prompt when we needed a backflow test conducted. Despite the late hour, he made time to come by and conduct the test the same day. His quick response to my call and his courtesy and professionalism while onsite ensure that we will call him the next time we need the services he offers.

AC went out over the scorching weekend. Called Fred at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, he says his first available appt is Thursday AM, but will see if he swing by sooner if he can. Calls me at 6:00 PM and asks if he can come by then. Shows up at 6:30 PM, and has my AC up and running by 7:00 PM. 4 hours from my first call to him that same day, he has it fixed. Fred is like an AC superhero! I would HIGHLY recommend him. Price was very reasonable. He will be my go-to HVAC & plumbing resource going forward. Give him a call, you'll be glad you did.
I had to get a water heater supply line replaced which was soldered on and overall I was very pleased with American Ace. I got a few quotes from various reputable plumbing company and American Ace was towards the more reasonable end. In fact it was about 30% lower than Courtesy Plumbing.
My only gripe is that compared to the other plumbing companies, Ace's customer service needs a little work. When I called for an estimate, the guy on the phone told me to hang up and text him the address and a plumber would come out between 3:00 and 5:00 PM that day. I did so, and no call back and no one showed up that day. Next I went on their website and submitted an appointment online. Still nothing. I finally call them back later towards the evening on Day 2 and the same guy says Oh yeah, I got your text. Thanks for not responding...
I had no issues with the plumbers themselves. James gave me a call about 30 minutes before letting me know when he would be there. He was courteous and knowledgeable. He was able to do all the soldering and replace the supply line within 15-20 minutes. I would certainly recommend them for any plumbing needs.

So the AC decided to act up during all of this summer heat! So what were we to do? We asked Neighbors for recommendations, I looked online, and in the end we landed on Fred here with American Ace. I'm so glad that we did!
Fred and his assistant showed up promptly at 8 AM (he gave me a window between 8 and 10, but I shared with him via text that I had a meeting at 830... No problem was his reply). They worked on the AC system for about 35 minutes insuring that everything was cleaned and in proper working order. They really went above and beyond! Best part, is that they cleaned up their entire mess (unlike a lot of other AC repair folks that we've had in the past).
If you're looking for a solid individual, that not only says what they're going to do but then actually does it then look no further... Fred is your guy! Oh, and he stayed within his estimate $ figure as well (sometimes this is the biggest pain point, right?!?)

So, full disclosure, I actually didn't get work done by American Ace, but I wanted to leave them a good review regardless. There's a heat wave (or is this the new normal?) and of course, the AC at my rental condo breaks down. I called NINE different places and I got a lot of no call-backs. American Ace was one of the few companies that called me back promptly and I really appreciated that. The only reason I didn't go with them is because their immediate availability didn't work with my tenant (they were able to fit us into the schedule sooner than any other company). But I wanted to leave a good review because it's super frustrating when other companies don't even call you back or at least have an automated message if they're fully booked for the next couple weeks.
If you need a great HVAC company these guys are the best in the area of 92129! I have used several companies over the years at several properties and this company does a CLEAN INSTALL! Fred is the best!

Embarrassing- but appreciated none the less.
Fast, efficient, reasonably priced AND conscientious.
Main sewer backed up. Fred showed up with his colleague and went straight to work on a Sunday. Assessed the problem and jumped in. (Have to say, I suspect very little could phase these two.)
Professional and extremely aware they're working in another man's home. Tackled the sewer, sanitized the work area and then tackled the toilet (needed to be reset with a new wax ring). Without reservation- I would recommend Fred and his crew. Will put them in my contacts as my go-to for plumbing. Sometimes I wonder about the validity of five star companies on Yelp.

If you want the job done right the first time with no problems call Fred. He also stands behind what he sells and installs.
He answers his phone and doesn't hide if there is an issue. The only HVAC plumber I will ever use.
My A/C stopped making cold air. Called American Ace Plumbing and they replied very quickly (within 30 minutes).
They visited my home the same day and checked the A/C. While everything looks good, they suspected that it's a breaker's issue. They helped me to reset the breaker, and the A/C worked for a while.
However the breaker jumped again after about 10 minutes. So I sent a message and they helped me to replace the old breaker. So far it has been a week and the A/C works properly. I am pleased that they replied me and solved the problem in the same day.
Awesome quick and professional. Had a leak at my downstairs bathroom. The guy was out here in less than 45 minutes. He got the job done in less than 30 minutes. Thank you guys so much. You were there when I needed you! 5 stars all the way!

One of my AC units died and my second unit started to have problems. I called around and most places told me 5-6 days before they could come out. Called Fred based on Yelp reviews and he squeezed me in within a few hours. He didn't have the correct parts, but made a temporary fixed to get us through the rest of the day and came back the next morning with the parts. Would recommend for any problems you might have!
Last July, the compressor fan on my A/C unit failed. I contacted six companies to schedule the repair. American Ace was the only one willing to come the next day. Fred diagnosed the problem, acquired the part, and installed it in significantly less time than it would have taken just to get someone from one of the other companies to show up to look at the issue.
Today (Sunday), my wife and I realized that we had a pinhole leak in a pipe in the ceiling of our family room. I called American Ace. Fred showed up less than 30 minutes later. The repair was completed within just a couple of hours of realizing that we even had a problem. The cost was reasonable considering it was a weekend.
Based on my experience, American Ace is an honest, responsive, and dependable company.

AC stopped working on Saturday evening. In a panic I called a few companies to see if someone could come and fixed it on this Labor Day Sunday. I spoke to Fred on the phone early Sunday morning and he said he was booked, but would take my number and call if he had a cancellation. No one else could come by. I was baking in my house when Fred called and said he could come right over. There was a cancellation. He was here in about 20 minutes and fixed the problem. Burned out capacitor. AC working again and I can thank Fred for saving my weekend holiday.

Just had the AC unit installed a month ago. They had the best price compared to 4 other quotes I got. But now I would hire them without even asking for a quote. I don't think I ever witnessed such scrupulous attention to detail, work ethics and can-do attitude. It was not an easy installation, since I wanted to move the condenser unit out of the way and there was very little room in the attic for the coil. But the guys really went an extra mile and did an excellent job every step of the way. They also pointed out and fixed a few early construction mistakes - changed the heater support to metal legs instead of 2x4, replaced the incorrectly installed flue pipe (yes, now I know what it is!) at no extra cost. After the AC installation I also called for a quick favor on a small plumbing leak and they took care of it the same day. Just call them already, you'd be glad you did.
I had a AC unit which stopped working in this heat wave. Fred was recommended by several of my friends, so I messaged him. He responded in half an hour and initially set the time for two days later. Yet, he was able to find a time the next day and stopped by. He inspected and the issue was with some capacitor. He changed the part and AC was back on. The whole thing took around 10 minutes, and his price was fair IMO. He gets bonus points for walking me through the process and letting me know what he was doing at every step and the costs.
During this horrible August 2020 heat wave my newly (2019) installed air conditioner stopped working and the installer went out of business. So I called this company for help. He kindly informed me that my issue was a leak from the condenser and the problem should be covered under warranty. He and his helper were awesome!!! He drained the water from my pans and left me with air. Now calling a warranty representative from Goodman. Amazing service and small service fee. Honest company!
Frank gave me a two hour window, and texted me when they were in their way. When they arrived they went straight to work. He stuck to his quote (no hidden fees) and was done in about 30mins. I thought he was respectful and honest. Would use him again.
Fred and his assistant were early, same day appointment, fixed the leak, cheaper than other quotes, problem solved, (1) one warranty, before leaving, Fred made a few suggestions, problem solved everyone happy!

My air conditioning broke during a record breaking heat wave. I called these guys and they were at my home within 24 hours. It took Fred 20 minutes to fix my broken capacitor. Honestly, since I don't know anything about air conditioning, he could have sold me a lot more. How refreshing to encounter an honest, ethical, and knowledgable service person! I will definitely be using this company in the future.
I had a plumbing emergency. The shower faucet broke. These guys were available the soonest out of every plumber I called so I went for it. Then they called to let me know they could come even sooner! I contacted American Ace Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning to have the hot and cold valves for my washer replaced since they were old and corroded. Fred contacted me promptly and we ended up texting back and forth with pictures of my valves and were able to schedule a date and time to complete the work and he was able to provide me with an estimate for the work. The day of the appointment, Fred was able to complete my work earlier because his previous job finished quicker than he expected. He arrived at the stated time and finished within 30 minutes. I was very impressed with the prompt and professional service I received. I would definitely recommend American Ace Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning for any plumbing work you may need.
Without a doubt you need to call Fred at American Ace Plumbing for your air conditioning repair, and I suspect any plumbing issues you have as well. He'll set a 2 hour window and come squarely within the time promised. He's friendly, and smart, and best of all, he knows EXACTLY what he's doing. He's amazing. He came to my house after I told him what was going on with my air conditioning. I highly suspect he was sussing out what the problem was before he even came in the door. He quickly and efficiently figured out what was wrong and let me know right away. A service call will cost you $78, FYI. Fred is what you want in a repair person. He's the best.

I can't say enough about Fred and his team. I got both a new furnace and new air conditioning unit put in... and I love it. The price was extremely fair, as others have mentioned, fast responses, and everyone was professional. Fred explained everything well and my place was left clean. I'm glad I read the reviews on here and went with them. I would not look further... go with this company!
Called up just to get a routine maintenance (~$78) done on my AC unit and initially found it a little odd that Fred, the owner, wanted me to text him my contact info and address. Turns out he's just super busy and it's easier just to get the info to him on a text rather than him having to write it down while he's on the go. I get it.
Fred arrived early and explained everything he was doing as he was performing the maintenance. He checked the AC unit and even went up to my attic to be thorough. No problems found and no attempts at up-selling or phony made up repairs.
Fred deserves the 5-star reviews. He's very busy and there's a good reason for it. Yelp did not let me down on this choice. Fred was above board, honest, knowledgable, provided great tips and recommendations on my AC unit, filter changes (per Fred, the cheapest ones work just fine), etc. He even explained the warranty of the Carrier brand AC unit at my house. Fred even does plumbing. I've got him on speed dial now for my AC and plumbing needs.

Wow! Okay, so I called to get some help with an issue I was having with a thermostat that wasn't working. Like many others have said, I was asked to text for coordination purposes, which I appreciated because then I can make sure I give them the correct address and we have record of the appointment time.
Anyway, after doing that, I got a text message back a number of minutes after setting an appointment, with a recommendation from American Ace to check with my power company based on the kind of thermostat I was using. After a quick call, it was all fixed and Ace never even had to come in. I mean WOW! They could have easily came over, fixed the thing and charged me for it (which I would have happily paid for), but here they are providing me some some advice that allowed me to fix the problem on my own. Tremendous customer service, and you can be sure if I have a major pain in my AC or Heating again I'll be giving them a call. Thank you thank you thank you!
American Ace easily deserves a five star rating. They responded quickly, quoted a very reasonable price to replace some old water valves, arrived right on time, worked quickly and left the place clean. Fred gave us some great free advice about how to avoid leaks in the future and what to expect when dealing with the water damage caused by the old valves. My regular guy was scheduled to show up at 7:00 am this morning, and texted me at 6:30 am to say that his truck wouldn't start....massive bummer!!!!
Last night, my A/C stopped working, the condenser was not running, and when I checked the filter, it was as wet as if it had been soaking in a bucket of water.
With the fan only, at 6:30am my house was 85 degrees F in my bedroom, NOT conducive to good sleep.
I called around from the top of the Yelp list starting at 7:15 am, and either got no answer or booked for the next two weeks.....when I reached American Ace, they scheduled me TODAY for between 10:00 am and 12pm. They requested I text my address and texted back a confirmation.
Max was at my house before I was at 10:00 am, and he waited for me, I showed up around 10:10.
He quickly figured out that the drain hose was clogged, and the water had saturated one of the shutoff safety valves. He worked very cleanly, explained everything, gave me an estimate and did not go over it. The A/C was working a little over an hour after he arrived, and he gave some solid recommendations to extend the longevity of the system.
While it was just a little more costly than I was hoping for, the charge was fair, and the work was completed in exemplary fashion.
I can wholeheartedly recommend this company, and will be keeping their information on file for future needs in A/C, heating and plumbing.

Fred at American Ace Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning was recommended to us through our Nextdoor community. Fred had many positive reviews on Yelp. We called him for help with our furnace problem. Fred came out to our place with his associate (I was not there so my wife and in-laws met with Fred) and troubleshooted the problem for a half hour.
The furnace operated normally that whole time so based on a description of the issue Fred suggested possibly changing out the thermostat. I grabbed a new thermostat from HD on my way home that night and installed it when I got home.
More importantly, Fred said to observe the red LED light on the front of the furnace and if it starts blinking refer to the furnace codes on the big sticker on the front of the furnace. Under normal operation, it will be solid red. If there is a problem, it will blink a series of slow and fast blinks (or vice versa). Count them and compare to the list on the furnace sticker. It was a problem with the flame sensor. I looked up how to clean a flame sensor on Youtube and fixed it with a dollar bill. It has been running fine since then.
AND, Fred did not charge us anything for his half hour in-person visit and assisted us in troubleshooting it ourselves. We plan to send him some money for his time and travel costs.
I would not recommend doing any work yourself unless you are completely comfortable working with furnaces. Call a professional. Call Fred! :)

I have had called Fred twice for urgent problems. My AC condensation line flooded during the summer. I tried fixing it with information from Youtube and failed. Fred stopped by the same day and fixed the issue fast.
Today one of my sink water lines began leaking. I tried fixing it myself with tools from the store and I spent 3 hours failing at it. Fred stopped by an hour after I called, fixed both of my cold and hot water lines and compression shut off valves in 30 minutes.
Fred is one of the hardest working guys you'll see. He is super responsive and efficient. I can sleep better knowing Fred is around to assist if I can't fix the problems.
If I could give Fred 10 stars out of 5, I would. He is great!!

I called 2 other places and they couldn't come out for 2 weeks or more. That wasn't going to work for me. I called American Ace and they came out same day. They communicate by text, which is convenient.
I was really worried they were going to tell me I needed some major repair or replacement, but turns out it was only a minor fuse that needed replacing for $250. That was awesome news and they had the A/C working in less than an hour.
The guys at Ace American Plumbing are hardworking and efficient. The owner Fred is responsive, accountable for his work, and offers fair prices. Would use again and would definitely recommend.
My tenant's air went down on Monday. She had no luck calling numerous other companies .
I got back in town on Weds. and Contacted American Ace. They got right back to me saying they could make it on Friday.
Fred was also very quick to reply to my follow up texts.
On Friday he called as I had asked, arrived very punctually and resolved the problem effectively and quickly, explaing it to me and suggesting ootions moving forward since the compressor in question is 27 yrs old.
My tenant is cool and happy thanks to Fred.
Just had a furnace installed and I am quite happy with the outcome. We got a good price and they were able to do the installation within a couple days. We had a little hiccup in scheduling our initial estimate but Fred was extremely responsive on Yelp so it wasn't a big deal. I would definitely use them again for other HVAC needs.

These reviews do not lie. Fred from Ace is pretty awesome. He is very honest and informative and very experienced. I called to have a few sinks repaired and my A/C drain cleared. I he arrived on time, we said 3-5 and he was here at 3. I live in a unique condo that shares water and other stuff and he walked me thru my entire water system. He diagnosed the problems and made perfect recommendations. He explained how much each procedure would cost and even recommended not fixing something because it wouldn't be worth the cost. He didn't fix a faucet because he knew that it would not be fixable. He could have tried then up-charged but recommended a new faucet and explained the coat variation from a new faucet vs. something going wrong and how long it would last if I didn't replace it. It made sense. He also showed me how to fix the AC if it ever happened again. Super cool. I recommend Fred for his punctuation, experience, honesty and helpfulness.
Thank you Yelp reviewers. Our air conditioner broke a couple weeks ago. It doesn't take long for the inside of our house to get in the high 80's in July. We were pretty miserable. And, knowing it was July, I figured it would be a wait before anyone could even come out. I looked at Yelp reviews and found this guy.
To my surprise, he came out the next day before his normal shift. I didn't even ask for emergency help or anything. He offered to come that quickly which was enough for me to give him 5 stars just for that. He diagnosed and fixed the problem in less than an hour. He thought it could be one of 2 issues. One being easy to fix and the other would require a new unit. Lucky for us, it was the easy fix.
We will call him first from now on for home and our office for air/heating/plumbing stuff. Great person to work with.
Asked for an online quote for a simple job and they were able to provide one, unlike a few other companies who wanted to schedule a visit to come by for a free quote. (I understand that that may be needed in some cases, but this was a fairly straightforward job). Scheduled the appointment online, and they showed up and got the job done. Pricing was competitive and there were no surprises. We actually ended up paying less than the quote since I had already purchased some of the parts needed.

I would sincerely give this company more than 5 stars if it was possible! When my shower faucet broke off with the water running, I had to cut off the water to my house. It was 9pm and I was scrambling to find a plumber that would come by at night on short notice. I feel very fortunate to have found American Ace. Fred (the owner) was on a job until about 10pm but then came by my place to see if there was a quick fix (there wasn't). He then told me no charge for the visit since he couldn't fix it (I never heard of that before).
With a newborn and visiting relatives in the house I was desperate for water, and I think he felt my plight and agreed to get the parts from his warehouse and do the repair that night. He finished the job finally after midnight and we had a working bath and running water. It's so hard to find an honest and caring home services outfit, and I feel lucky to have found Fred!
I needed to address a problem with our furnace blower. It wasn't starting up to blow the air. The furnace was flaming up and heating, but not blowing. I searched on yelp for someone who could help and randomly selected American Ace because they seemed close and had good yelp reviews. I was a little discouraged that they didn't answer the phone, but I left a message anyway. About one minute later, Fred called and said he was close to my area and would stop by soon. He and his assistant arrived about ten minutes later. No nonsense, he diagnosed the problem (bad capacitor that needed replacing). They had the part, he replaced it, tested it and worked great. For a fair price I had my heat back on within a half hour after I called!

I called these guys because I'm 5 months pregnant and miserable with an AC that refused to get cool! Most places had a 2 week wait time, but when I explained my situation to Fred, he rearranged some things and was able to squeeze me in for the next day. And now I know why all the other yelpers gave these guys great reviews!! Fred and Max and their other gentleman came promptly in the morning and worked non-stop all day. They are so nice and very honest and thorough about the work that needs to be done, and make an effort to explain any problems in a way that's easy to understand. They also brought out their plumber Ken when I mentioned I had a toilet that needed to install, and he was just as awesome. Ken measured everything first and discovered my husband and I had bought the wrong size toilet, so he was kind enough to go to another job and come back afterwards so we could go make an exchange and get the right one. In the end we had our outside unit and indoor thermostat and heater replaced, along with the toilet, all for a very fair price - a steal, really.. I've had 3 years of horrible luck with maintenance companies, so this was a wonderful, welcome surprise! Can't thank these guys enough :)

My water heater broke down Sunday. Since I have American Home Shield, I called and they sent a plumber next day. Unfortunately, the plumber that they sent had no idea what he was doing and he tried to scare me and gave me crazy explanation regarding why I need to change my entire plumbing system in the garage and so on. I literary had to kick him out of our house but he still insisted that I should hire him otherwise I am in a huge trouble.
Shortly after, Fred was recommended to me by my best friend. I contacted him and he responded right way on his phone. He asked me several questions over the phone regarding water heater and he also asked me to send him few picture. Shortly after I sent him the pictures, he called me back and gave me a very fair estimate. He also gave me several option when it came to water heater brand as well as 6 vs 12 years life time.
He came in the afternoon same day with the water heater. He showed me the receipt for the water heater that he purchased as he explained that he is very transparent with his clients. He and his coworker installed the water heater in less than 1.5 hours including making sure that the installation follows all the necessary state and city codes. During the entire process, he explained in detail what he was doing.
After the installation was final, they cleaned up very nicely after themselves and gave me receipt for the entire material and labor. Thanks Fred for your amazing work.

the problem. Fixed! It was done efficiently and cleanly.
He even took care to put on his own shoe covers to protect the house floor.

Very professional and kind! The two techs were able to get my garbage disposal fixed today, then mentioned they are also starting to work on air conditioners. Not only were they able to check the A/C, but also fix the issue. These guys are honest and upfront. Have used them several times and I have never been surprised or disappointed
During the most recent heat wave in San Diego, I had a very difficult time finding a company to come out and repair a faulty air conditioning unit for tenants in a rental condo. The heat was overwhelming and 5-star companies were so saturated with work that most weren't even returning calls. I called American Ace and Fred called me right back. He diagnosed the issue and over the phone and met me at the condo a couple of hours later. He swapped out the faulty part quickly and voila' - A/C! Price was reasonable, especially since he was running in between appointments and was also booked solid. I will definitely call American Ace in the future for any HVAC issues. Thanks Fred!

Most excellent service. I would give 6 stars if I could! Water heater failed on us 2 days ago; looked on yelp and found American Ace Plumbing. Received a quote right away and service performed next day. On time, very quick, very professional and honored original price quoted even though there was several more pipes that they had to redo to bring the water heater up to current code. Very impressed with Fred's work plus they guarantee their work. After looking at how professional our water heater was installed I do not believe we will need to worry about that. They also service heaters and air conditioners - I will keep his card handy!
We called Fred at 6:45 a.m. and he immediately returned our call. He arrived just 3 hours later. Fred diagnosed our issue on our heater. He quoted us a price before fixing it. Just 1-1/2 hours later, the job was done! We were very pleased with his service. We requested info about replacing our HVAC and he was very knowledgeable and gave us his recommendations. We plan to call him back when we need to replace our HVAC.
My A/C went out on the first hottest day of the year and on a Sunday afternoon! I called and Fred answered immediately and had me scheduled the next morning. I was amazed and grateful! Max came out and was able to show up an hour early, thankfully. It was in the 90s by 10am. He troubleshot and found the problem immediately. It was fixed within 45 minutes and for a very fair price. Max was friendly and very professional and I will be calling them back in the future to do furnace tune up. I highly recommend American Ace Plumbing!

Top notch service from Ram. I called on a Sunday morning just after 8am with a leaking shutoff valve under my kitchen sink. The ferrule was stuck and I couldn't get it off. By 10am it was fixed, for the exact price Ram had quoted (which was comparable to most firms' weekday rate).
Ram was unable to get the ferrule off even with his special tool. He ended up stretching the copper pipe, so it had to be replaced as well. He cut out the drywall neatly (so it could be reused), sottered in a new copper pipe, and put it all back together in less than an hour. I had a replacement valve, which I had picked up at Home Depot, however he installed a better one and did not charge me for it.
Ram was completely courteous and professional. He used a sock to cover his shoes in our house, even though our floors were already dirty. He clearly knew what he was doing and did great work quickly and efficiently. I am very pleased with his professionalism and the quality of the service overall, particularly on a Sunday morning. Top notch, thank you Ram and American Ace!
American Ace installed Halo 5 water conditioner and fixed several plumbing issues in our house (reversed faucet flows, stuck valves, faucet replacements, etc). They are an amazing team... great at what they do, courteous, reasonably priced, and go the extra mile to make sure you're a happy customer. Highly recommend them.
Called Fred Saturday on the long weekend of Presidents day. Fred was able to come in early Monday morning to diagnose a furnace heating issue and a plumbing leak. Fred and his assistant were extremely knowledgeable, he gave us a a reasonable and fair price for the services to repair a pipe and to inspect the furnace. Fred even gave us tips on what to look for in the future as well as other items he noticed around the home. Fred finished the two items within 1 and a half hours. He was courteous and friendly. Will definitely recommend Fred to others I know and go to him again if other issues arise in the future.
Requested a quote and the owner, Fred, responded promptly through Yelp messaging. I explained the problem and he provided the quote all via Yelp messaging. I'm sure he was on a job at the same time as it seems like Fred is a popular plumber yet he went out of his way to provide me a quote right away. He gave me his next availability and the window of arrival. On the day of, he notified me that he finished early with the job prior to mine and would be able to start mine ASAP. I told Fred, who was already at my house, I was at church service at that time, but he said to take my time to get back home and that he would wait for me since he arrived really early anyway. He fixed my kitchen sink by clearing the bad smelling clog, installed the garbage disposal I purchased myself, and replaced worn out piping all within 1.5 hours. The service was great, prompt, and affordable. Highly recommended!

Our AC went out at midnight on a Friday. Called the 24/7 answering service on our unit and was told the office was closed and they'd get back to us on Monday. Saturday morning, I called every AC place that was open, hoping that in the middle of summer someone would have a same day opening on a Saturday. Naturally no one did, but about an hour after I called Fred, he returned my call and said he'd had a cancellation and did I still need help? He came straight over and the AC was working again in under an hour. He taught us how to clean the filters and explained exactly what had happened while he fixed it. Fantastic experience from start to finish. A/C went out, called and Fred showed up within 2 hours on a Friday PM in the heat of summer. He went above and beyond to perform the diagnosis, called around for parts and ultimately performed the repair on the blown circuit on my unit. He made it work with what he had in his truck even though it wasn't exactly the part that was needed, since we couldn't get the part till after the weekend at earliest. On top of that I had a clogged drain line from the furnace/AC unit in the attic. Instead of trying to make an extra buck, he suggested I do it myself and save $120, took the time to come inside, crawl under the sink, draw a schematic and walk me through the steps of how to unclog. It worked and the unit was draining as intended. The price was extremely reasonable as well and he gave me a heads up on what to expect if I needed to replace the unit in the future. We need more companies that treat customers like Fred does. I can say with confidence that we will be using him again for any plumbing or HVAC needs in the future. Thank you again, Fred!
Last Wednesday my A/C stopped working right when it was about to get very hot. I called a couple of shops and Fred was able to come the next morning. When he first arrived, it appeared the capacitor that starts the fan was broken. After that was replaced, the unit started working. However, that evening when it got really hot we noticed the A/C was not cooling adequately. At that point, I suspected the refrigerant was low. So I called him again. To my surprise, he was able to come back that night at 8 pm to fix my system. It obviously was a long day for him and I appreciate him putting the customer first.
Called this morning hoping to get same day service for a furnace leak. Fred was friendly, kind, and professional on the phone. Quoted me a fair price, and that's exactly what I paid. He diagnosed the problem almost immediately after arriving and had it fixed just as quickly. I would recommend them to anyone.

I don't give five stars lightly but Fred earned them all. As and Environmental Systems Engineer I can attest that Fred is as good as they come. He came out on a last minute notice to repair our heating system as an out of network callout. Our insurance company's contractor couldn't respond for four days. Once Fred knew that we had a newborn and no heat, he dropped everything and got the heat running in less than 1 hour. Fantastic job Sir and we appreciate your honesty and excellent customer service. My kitchen sink was clogged for 2 weeks. I've tried everything and nothing work. I had a friend come over with the snack and it didn't work. I looked in the PennySaver and saw American Ace Plumbing. I did research and saw all the good reviews. So, I decided to give them a call and what a good choice it was.
I called and within 2 hours Martin was at my home. He took his time and inspected my kitchen sink and associated pipes. After his inspection, Martin told me what he was going to accomplish. He quoted me a reasonable price and begin working on the clog. He didn't rush and he worked the clogged. After several hours, he unclogged the drain. Then, after he took his time putting the pipes back together, he discovered my strainer was rusted and needed to be replaced. So happen, I had a strainer and he gladly replaced it. He did an excellent job and I will continue to use this plumbing company.
My kitchen sink drain and strainer are working well. OUTSTANDING JOB Martin did.

Heater and AC quit working. Thermostat on wall was frizzed out. Went to Home Depot and grabbed a similar thermostat and installed it but no success w getting heater or AC back on line. Checked yelp for hvac guys and saw American Ace. Called around 5 pm Wednesday and spoke to Fred. Scheduled a 8-10am appointment for Thursday. Fred arrived on time and quickly diagnosed my faulty capacitor and replaced it from his on board truck stock. I was up and running in less than one hour time. AC and heater work beautifully w my new thermostat and capacitor. Based on this experience, I will use Fred for future hvac and plumbing needs.
We called for a plumbing and AC issue. They text and call right back.
Travis came out and fixed the plumbing issue that was related to the AC right away. Then assessed all our AC's as in the 18 yrs we have lived here only have turned them on maybe 5 times total.
He gave us an estimate on what we would need to get everything up and running for this coming summer. I called and schedule an appointment and Travis came back on time, texted before he arrived! Charged the AC's, fixed the leak in one of them and was gone with in a few hours. He had to crawl in attic spaces etc. Even got all the dead critters that had died in the AC's / furnace!
Work was done well, they were really honest. Didn't mind I didn't crate the dogs while they worked. Really nice guys, easy to work with, work looks good and everything runs like it was new.
Thanks you guys! Would highly recommend them and would use again for other plumbing, heating AC issues if they arise.
There is a reason Fred has so many good reviews. My friends AC was broken and they called 2 places thru their home warranty program- more than 24hours later- no calls back. Fred was called at 9pm Saturday and returned the call in less than 10min. Don't waste your time with anyone else!

Our AC decided to act up all of a sudden. They were very responsive and accommodating with appointment times. They are prompt and on-time. Thankfully they were able to fix the problem right away. I never felt like we were being sold more repairs than needed. Very honest. I am a repeat customer (previously for periodic maintenance). I will continue to be a customer and recommend them for AC repairs and maintenance.
We had a new Washing Machine installed today on Saturday. In the San Diego way, the water valves servicing the machine were very crispy. I went to change them out prior to the machines arrival and ran into problems with the pipes coming out from the wall. The delivery service was less than helpful. Once finished, there was now water dripping from the pipe to the floor.
American Ace Plumbing was the second one I called. I spoke to Fred the owner at approx 1;30 PM he said he'd be by between 2-3. Fred showed up at 2:05 with a helper. He identified parts that were needed, and sent the helper while he continued to work. He quoted me a very reasonable price that was contingent on not having to tear up the wall (if the leak was there).
After about 40 minutes, the job was done, the original quote was honored (even though he bought new parts).
5 stars for the speed of response, speed of service, quality craftsmanship and fair price. I highly recommend Fred.
This is the third time we've used American Ace. They responded to our home within 4 hours of my call to repair our air conditioner unit. They are prompt, professional, honest and fairly priced. Our heater wasn't working properly and I called American Ace Heating and Plumbing and got a call back in 10 minutes. Fred sent Travis out the very same day and he solved the problem very quickly and was so pleasant and professional. I would highly recommend this company.
My experience with American Ace Plumbing is nothing like the previous reviews - so are those plants? Our air conditioning quit working and I have an 8 month pregnant daughter and she called, left a message got a call back, the guy said he was booked and didn't even make an appointment. Wish we had had the same response as Steven F and Steven G.
3 days without heat, SDGE came out, told us it was the hot surface igniter, easy fix. Called 5 places, given 4-14 days out for service. Called American Ace, 2 days, so I texted him address and phone numbers, glad I did. He had a no show, and headed right over! Fixed in less than 10 minutes, we have heat! And then Fred headed back to his no show, to give him another chance. 1 year warranty for parts and labor, Happy, Happy.
The 5 stars are genuine.
Scheduled for 8 am to 10 am.. And i was surprised they came really early.. They checked our a/c and instantly know what is wrong.. i just feel bad that the only way to fix the problem is to replace our A/C. But any ways i was satisfied with their explanation. Like many other reviewers of American Ace Plumbing Heating and AC, I called in a pinch. My parents are in town visiting in usually cool San Diego, except that it was hot, humid and the AC was not working.
Other places I called could not come for 3 to 5 days, just not realistic.
I called AAPH&A/C and Fred was extremely nice. He gave me ideas to trouble shoot myself to avoid a service call for no reason. When that failed to work, he was able to come to my home the next day.
He was early for the appointment, friendly, explained every step he was taking and asked before doing anything that would cost us. He even took time after completing the job to clean up and write up what he did, and what still needs to be done long term so we can inform our landlord
We were extremely satisfied and would use them again, and recommend them to friends and family.

I needed two small jobs completed, one plumbing related, and the other A/C related. I called a couple of companies and got quotes as two separate jobs, each with $150 minimums for the visit. Luckily I found the listing for AAP and was able to kill two birds with one stone.
They actually showed up about 90 minutes after I called, and it wasn't even an emergency. Fred quickly determined that my AC filter required cleaning, but the compressor was working well and only needed a small amount of refrigerant to be ready for the season. After doing this he quickly replaced the leaky faucet on my front patio (my second issue). In less than an hour both jobs were done, and both were completed for about the same cost as one service cost minimum.
I highly recommend American Ace for your plumbing work.
One of our air-conditioning units went out during a recent heat wave. I tried all the self-help troubleshooting I could think of, but to no avail. The next day, I Google-searched for air conditioning repair Rancho Penasquitos, and American Ace Plumbing was among the top hits--and local. The Yelp reviews averaged 5 stars (68 5's and two 4's), so I called them.
Even though it's a busy time (late July), Fred said he could be out within an hour and a half. Unfortunately, I was away from home for the day, so I asked if he could come out the following morning. He said, Sure. Please just text me your address and what time you'd like me to be there. I sent him my address and asked if he could come between 8:00 and 10:00 AM. Fred responded in the affirmative, and was at my door the following day
at 8:00 on the dot.
Fortunately for us, it was an easy and relatively inexpensive fix (a dead capacitor in the attic unit), and Fred had the part in his vehicle. Actually, the most problematic aspect of the service call was negotiating around my wife's abundance of boxed Christmas decorations--which Fred helped me move!
Fred was polite, prompt, efficient, and quick--and he didn't try to up-sell additional equipment or services.
From the heavy rains yesterday I had water backing up from newly installed drain under newly installed concrete. I looked on Yelp and found American Ace Plumbing and gave them a call. Within 5-10 minutes I received call from Fred and once I told him my dilemma he gave his price for a camera inspection and I said can you come today. He was available and came shortly after our call ended. He used his camera and found a small rock but it wasn't until he ran the snake in and pulled out a plastic bag that was the main blockage. Once those were cleared the drain worked great. He was patient and explained what he was doing and was very professional to work with. I would highly recommend Fred to take care of your plumbing needs.
I tried several plumbing companies. American Ace is the one I can trust. I called them 3 or 4times last year. They response very fast and give a reasonable price. Not like some others need wait many days later. Also they are very nice and friendly.
We had Max from American Ace come out to fix our air conditioner this morning. The a/c unit died during a recent heat wave. Max showed up on time, identified the problem within 15 minutes (a dead capacitor) and had the whole thing fixed in under an hour. Our unit is older, so it would have been easy for him to say, you need a whole new system. But Max didn't do that ... he just focused on fixing only the parts that were broken and got it running again in very little time. We were very pleased.

I have used them a number of times and each time,I'm impressed with Fred . I trust him to give me a fair price and do quick,efficient work.
Recently I had A/C problem, he advised a temporary repair before I have to do a costly replacement.

We bought an older home a few months ago and it came with a LOT of plumbing issues. Our Realtor referred us to Fred and we are so happy she did. Fred and company are competent, honest, straight-forward and reasonably-priced. We strongly recommend American Ace to everyone.
I made an appointment to have my central a/c checked since it stopped working. Fred was able to look at it the next day. He was right on time and while testing it, the system seemed to be working again. Despite this, he checked the entire system anyway to be sure everything was okay. Thirty minutes after he left, the a/c stopped working again. I called him again, and without hesitation he came right back to see what was going on. He ended up re-wiring some of the connections and it has been working fine ever since. Very courteous and took the time to explain what he was doing and made sure I understood.

Fast, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient! I called on a Saturday morning during a long hot streak in SD. I was shocked that they even picked up at 8am on a heatwave Saturday and even more shocked that I was told they could fit me in today! We made an apportionment for 4pm, but around 1:30 pm I received a call saying they could fit me in right now! Excellent! The team came and quickly identified the problem with my compressor. My next great surprise was that instead of trying to convince me to buy a new compressor (which would be big dollars), he immediately proposed a quick and affordable work around. Thank God for honest helpful business men! I highly recommend!
I needed backflow testing done asap so that the city wouldn't turn my water off. They came out within one day of requesting and tested. One passed and the other didn't. Returned the following day to repair system so that it would pass. Great customer service. During this current heat wave, my AC stopped working. Called American Ace due to the all the 5-star reviews and they certainly deserve the rave reviews. They were quite honest in that they fixed the issue and did not try to sell other repairs although we certainly would have done anything to get the AC working again. They certainly have earned our loyalty.
My air conditioner stopped working yesterday. Thinking I had to replace the entire unit, as it's 11 years old, I called two of the major plumbing companies who advertise in San Diego. One couldn't get out for two weeks, the other I was hesitant based on past Yelp reviews. I found American Ace based on over 200 five star reviews and called the number and spoke to Fred directly. He made the appointment and within an 1 1/2 showed up right on time with his son. He diagnosed the problem to be a capacitor and did the replacement. His charge was very fair and he fixed the problem. Can't say enough about his professionalism and his ability to diagnose the problem immediately. Highly recommend American Ace.
Used American Ace when my regular plumbing company couldn't send someone out for three days. I'm very glad that I did. Very responsive, they scheduled me for that day and kept me updated on timing. They were very thorough, taking the time to make sure all problems were addressed - and even cleaned up the sink when they finished a spray bottle of clorox! I would definitely use them again.

I tried to install one of those do-it-yourself icemaker filters. The fittings leaked. I returned the filter to Home Depot and received a replacement. The fittings leaked. At this point, I decided that do-it-yourself plumbing is an oxymoron, so I called American Ace Plumbing. Fred was at my house first thing the next morning. He removed the defective filter and repaired the icemaker water line. Since that job only took a few minutes, I asked Fred if he could snake the toilet since it had overflowed a couple of weeks earlier. Great service all around.
Fred was excellent. He did everything in a timely manner and will definitely be the reason I call American Ace Plumbing for future plumbing issues.

Realized the AC had stopped working on Sunday afternoon. Called American Ace 1st, they answered immediately & said 1st availability would be Tues. which was not surprising considering that we've been experiencing record high temps, lately. Called two other companies which also listed open business hours on Sunday. No answer, no call back from either. Booked the Tues. appointment with American Ace/Fred. He called on Monday to say he could come over, but we weren't available to be home. Today (Tues.), he arrived at the very beginning of the two hour window, quickly assessed the fixed the issue (bad dual run capacitor), instucted me on maintenance & money saving tips, all within about 25 minutes! Courteous, fast, reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

Fred to the rescue again!! After we moved into our house a few months ago, Fred came to do some plumbing work (hooked up our sink, installed disposal, connected dishwasher and air gap at a great price)-we found him based on his awesome reviews on YELP, and he did not disappoint.
Fast forward 4 months and one of our A/C units konked in, with another heat spell arriving tomorrow, we didn't hesitate to call Fred yesterday and he arrived as promised today. I'm very happy with the service I received and would recommend Fred to my friends.

Realized the AC had stopped working on Sunday afternoon. Called American Ace 1st, they answered immediately & said 1st availability would be Tues. which was not surprising considering that we've been experiencing record high temps, lately. Called two other companies which also listed open business hours on Sunday. No answer, no call back from either. Booked the Tues. appointment with American Ace/Fred. He called on Monday to say he could come over, but we weren't available to be home. Today (Tues.), he arrived at the very beginning of the two hour window, quickly assessed the fixed the issue (bad dual run capacitor), instucted me on maintenance & money saving tips, all within about 25 minutes! Courteous, fast, reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

Fred to the rescue again!! After we moved into our house a few months ago, Fred came to do some plumbing work (hooked up our sink, installed disposal, connected dishwasher and air gap at a great price)-we found him based on his awesome reviews on YELP, and he did not disappoint.
Fast forward 4 months and one of our A/C units konked in, with another heat spell arriving tomorrow, we didn't hesitate to call Fred yesterday and he arrived as promised today. During these fires my air conditioning unit broke. Just imagine 90 degrees inside the house without being able to open the windows due to poor air quality. I was completely desperate dying of heat. Late in the evening I found this company on yelp and called immediately. The owner I believe, told me he was booked for days but he was finishing a job in Penasquitos. He said he could come my way around 8:00 pm. I don't think I even asked prices. He showed up at my door around 8:15 and I say hi. He immediately opened up the unit and tested it and knew what was wrong. He showed me the part he needed to replace right away and gave me a fair price. He was done in 30 minutes and I was the happiest person on earth I could finally sleep well again. Fast Service. !!
I am very happy with the service. Our air conditioner stopped working last night. I called them at 7:00 am this morning and they came quickly and fixed it within a few hours of our call before the temperature reached 100 degrees!! I would definitely call them in the future if needed.
I called Fred on one of the hottest days of the year and he was at our house within 45 minutes. He diagnosed the problem and got our AC back on and working in no time. He was friendly and courteous. I would definitely recommend him to others.
American Ace Plumbing and Heating just left and replaced an awful looking filter and let me know that the original heater was not installed properly by another company making the filter very hard to get to. They discussed various options, but we decided to wait to install a new heater when the old one goes.

Highly recommend! Had them come replace two faucets, did quick work for a good price. Also had them look at a problem with a leaking toilet that I initially had not planned on. Fred found the problem and fixed it on the same visit for a very reasonable price. Will definitely be using American Ace for all my plumbing needs in the future.
I now personally understand all these great Yelp reviews! Max and Fred were on time, friendly, and knowledgeable about Heating and Air Conditioning. They checked everything out, increased the cold air flow with some duct patching in the attic, made some suggestions for the future, and rechecked the air flow before they left. All for a very reasonable cost. I highly recommend this company...and these two young men.

Trust me. Fred is the guy. I got water heater tank leakage. Nice and honest person-Fred showed up 1hour after I text him. Starting From 8:00am in the morning . He Spent around three hours replacing the water tank. And also help me drop off my old bad water heater to Home Depot for return. Price is reasonable. Highly recommended their service.
Fred responded to our first call on a Saturday short notice. We couldn't use our sink because the disposal was leaking and broken. He was there in an hour and finished in an hour! No extra charge for work on Saturday!
No answering machines and able to make an appointment within 24 hours when my air conditioner died during one of the recent heat waves. The technician was knowledgeable, arrived EARLY and fixed our A/C on the spot. They will be the first people we call next time.

I can't say enough good things about American Ace. I called them on the Saturday of Labor Day week-end because our A/C stopped working that morning. We were in the middle of a heat wave and all the HVAC companies I called were booked for several days and did not work that Monday. Actually, most calls went straight to voicemail. Finally I got a live person who could help - Fred from American Ace. He said they could be here on Monday (Labor Day) between 10-12 and confirmed that with a text. They showed up at 10:10 on Monday morning and quickly diagnosed the problem, which was a capacitor and not the compressor as we had feared. They were prompt, courteous, well-informed and the price charged was extremely reasonable, especially given that it was a holiday. I highly recommend Fred and his crew. They were lifesavers!

Three cheers for Fred! Our A/C unit stopped working at 10:30 P.M. on a Saturday night. It was still over 80 degrees outside. We have a toddler and were afraid it would be too hot in his room to sleep. I left Fred a voicemail and had my fingers crossed he'd be able to come out in the next few days. We feared a costly repair (or that we'd need to replace the unit altogether), but Fred called back Sunday morning, came over within an hour, and had the correct part on his truck to fix the unit. My project was done now and I feel a big relief - It was nicely and promptly completed. I watched the whole procedure. Awesome plumber/heater specialist We had a gas line clogged after a fumigation. Fred answered the call late on Friday and was here first thing Saturday morning. He diagnosed the problem quickly. Got all parts, explained everything very thoroughly to us so we could understand. His price was much lower than what I thought it would be considering he came on the weekend. I just want to share my experience with yelpers and may be it might help some one in making some realistic decisions before giving your hard earned money to these guys.
Almost a week or two ago, we started noticing our AC is not blowing hard enough. It reached out a point where it is not blowing any air at all. I observed ice formation all over the condensor pipes (indoor and outdoor). Also noticed outdoor compressor keeps on running even though thermostat is set to off. I need to break the circuit to turn off compressor.
I thought i will call a technician and looking at all 5 star reviews, i called American Ace plumbing. Fred gave me appointment on the day itself and came to do inspection immediately in couple of hours. There ends the best part.
Fred stopped and did a visual inspection of units model number. No questions asked about what happened. I tried to explain about compressor not turning off but he didn't paid much attention. He said there MIGHT be issue with evaporator coil and that is end of unit's life. As unit is 25 years old, his recommendation is to replace entire system and and he can squeeze an appointment for replacement in a week. I got a quote for $3400. Thats a expensive MIGHT.
I my self being engineer knows few basic things about troubleshooting any issue. You ask for symptoms, open up and check out for any faulty component and then explain what went wrong and do recommendations.I never saw some one making a guess before giving a quote for $3K.
I got to decide on replacing system or get my engineer hat. Not a tough decision to make.
Google search on these symptoms gave me couple of options to check. Thermostat wire or contactor. As indoor fan is turning off as per thermostat setting, I opened compressor to check contactor. There is lot of junk, cob webs and all. I did a little cleanup and obvious enough, contactor relay is stuck. Its a little spring relay, I just need to jiggle a little and pull it out and *BAM* every thing is working fine. A 20 minute job to open 4 screws and pull a spring and put everything back.
$3400 saved. Although, he is kind enough not to charge me anything for coming down. 1- star for that.
Update:
I got a call from Fred himself, apologizing for his mistake and offering any service for rectifying his mistake which is nice of him. 1 star for customer service

I called ac plumbing based on the reviews. He charged $195 to replace a fuse and changed 3 air filters. It took him 5 minutes to diagnose and replace the fuse. I thought the price was excessive for the work done. I am disappointed and called him based on the good reviews.
I'm very impressed by Rom and Fred. Fred scheduled an attic water leak repair and Rom arrived within an hour. The copper pipe in this 14 year old house Garden Gate house was leaking into the ceiling. Rom replaced the section of leaking pipe. He is a real professional! The repair was completed in less than two hours after I called! The charge for the repair was reasonable.
Fred is the man! He is fair in pricing and will not oversell you. He is responsive and prompt. His reputation and ratings are well deserved.
Better than expected is always a nice experience to have! Our AC stopped working so we looked on Yelp and decided to give American Ace a try based on comments from previous customers. We called late in the day on Friday and made an appointment with Fred for Sunday. A short time later, he called back and said he had a cancellation so was able to come by the same day. He diagnosed our AC problem as being low on refrigerant and added some to our system. He advised that there could be a leak in the system but this was the least expensive way to start out. Our HVAC is sixteen years old so it is very likely time to replace things, but I appreciate that he gave us a conservative option to begin with instead of trying to pitch us a new system from the get go. I would definitely recommend this company and will use them again!
Highly recommend Fred and his team. He called me back immediately regarding my urgent need to have an HVAC system installed before closing on my new residence about 4 months ago. He gave me a reasonable quote and installed the unit immediately to ensure escrow closed on time. Today I called Fred because I was having an issue with the AC coming on. The issue was not the unit but rather a drainage problem. The condensation from the AC units above me (I'm on the bottom floor) were draining down into my unit and backed up which was also tripping my unit to shut off due to the collection of water. He was able to temporarily clear the problem and ensure me that my unit was working properly. He then made a video explaining the issue so that I could show the association. He did not charge me for the troubleshooting and even checked back in with me this evening to make sure the drainage was resolved and the association had the pipe fastened and glued properly. He recommended that I get a drain leak detector since I'm on the bottom floor to help detect any leaks and potentially catch any flooding in the future. It's rare to get that kind of service and highly recommend that you contact him for any plumbing or HVAC issues. Thank you, Fred!

Our AC stopped working on our grandma's 90th birthday, when the whole family was coming to our house to celebrate. On Sunday of the Labor Day weekend, Fred came by and took care of us.
The only reason I only give four stars is that there was a misunderstanding about the service charges, but Fred met us halfway, so he gets a positive review from us.
May AC died in the middle of the heat wave. I called several big name companies who could not come for 1-2 weeks. American Ace came the next day. I was anticipating having to replace the air conditioner, but they fixed it by replacing 2 capacitors (much cheaper). They were there when they said they would be. Very happy with this service!
Had a leak in the draing in the upstairs bathroom. It was behind a wall. I called Ace. I was quoted a time for teh next day. He was early (but called first). Ace found the problem in 5 minutes, gave me an estimate on the spot, and had it fixed two hours later. The fix was sooner than he quoted and less than he quoted. Very professioinal. Cannot say enough nice things about the experience.

Fred has been our handy AC repair guy for years now. I found him here in yelp. He has taught me much about AC units and troubleshooting so i do t have to call him every time our old ac stops working( even though he wouldn't mind helping). This time we needed him for our biggest job yet... a slab leak. I felt the floor hot on a Sunday and by Thursday the size of the floor heat grew, the floor was hissing between our floor boards and it sounded like water was on in the walls. Eek. I turned off our water heater and the noises stopped. I have him in my contacts list so I called him up and he was at our house in a few hours to confirm what I was hoping I was wrong about. He did his thing gave me all of the options and the ones that he recommended that caused the least amount of destruction to our house. He called his guy at Express dry and since he didn't answer and left him a message... he wanted to make sure it was a seamless transition from him to the mitigation/ drying team. Once we decided what we wanted to do, he told me he'd be at our house the next day with more guys and he would jump loop all the plumbing and gave a very fair price. He showed up the next day at 630 am to get started, he and his crew finished the house in a day and a few hours!... working 2 -14 hour days . We never will use any other plumber! He's incredible and he does his own work. He has a strong work ethic and most importantly , he's HONEST and fair and runs a successful business. He's practically family! Thanks Fred! Not to mention we are fond of his name as one of our family members has his name too!

Smashing. Little heat wave currently in southern California. Central AV also went south. Reached out for help yesterday via their website. Received a text within hours setting up an appointment for this afternoon. Fred called this morning to see if we were home, which we were. He was at the door within the hour and quickly performed the repair at a very fair price. Will call him again. They also do plumbing.

Why does plumbing only break on weekends? Sunday morning I discover my main line from the street has a pin hole leak in the fitting a sit enters the garage, not too bad yet, but getting worse under city pressure.
As always, checked Yelp for the best local service, I always try to buy local when I can. Turns out Fred lives in the same area we do, and he had great reviews. Called about 11 and Fred is doing a water heater but says I'm next. Has me txt him my address, no mistakes there:) Txts me when he is on route, very nice. Takes a look, works up an estimate, sources parts quickly and within a couple of hours he has re-built the whole dist manifold, new ball valve, etc. He did a great job, I would highly recommend AAPH. (and the don't change extra for weekends:)
Called these guys at 2:50 pm because my AC capacitor needed replacement. Max came by my house at 3:20 while I was on my way from work to meet him. While waiting for me I get home , he was able to also service my neighbor with he same problem on a whim and then when I got back, he fixed my AC unit. In addition he had the filters available so I was able to replace those as well. I'm blown away by the fast service and the efficiency of this company. Oh and the price was fantastic compared to the other places that I researched.
When your heater conks out on the wettest, coldest night in months, all you want is a fast fix that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg. Fred delivered this and more, providing same day service and more. He showed up on time, covered his wet shoes to avoid tracking mud in the house, quickly diagnosed the problem and explained it to me. He also taught me how to service my heater and clean the filter, which was covered in dust and dog hair. He took the filthy filter outside, hosed it off and then suggested a hair dryer as the best way to dry it off. In addition, he asked for paper towels to clean up the dust that fell on the floor during the service work. The whole repair and filter cleaning was finished with in an hour and cost me $187, including a replaced part and service. Don't be put off when Fred asks you to text him your address, he really will deliver quality service when he shows up.
Fred from American Ace came at 9am the next morning after calling him the night before at 7pm. He arrived on time and within 5min had diagnosed the problem with our central air conditioning unit. He had it fixed in 30min. Really nice. Great service and a great fair price. Also very honest and didn't try and push anything extra on me. This is absolutely the worst service I have ever received. I setup an appointment with them on a Monday for Wednesday between 12-2pm. I sent a text to followup on Tuesday evening and request 30 minutes notice when he was on his way the following day because there were other parties that wanted to be present for the inspection as well. His response at 10:30 pm on the evening before was as follows This job looks like to be a big headache for my company is too many people involve with it. I am not interested find another contractor. We are in escrow on a property, and simply needed to have the furnace inspected. I do not recommend this company, and will never refer them to any clients in the future.

Wow! Our heater recently quit working and we have a newborn in our home. I explained the situation to Fred and he came out and not only diagnosed our problem quickly but had it fixed within minutes for a reasonable price. I was very impressed!
Fred Zandian is extremely professional, courteous, and honest. We have had him help us with 2 emergencies so far and couldn't be happier with his service. Fred was our second quote when we noticed our hot water heater had begun dripping from the overflow valve. The first company had quoted us over $2k to replace our hot water heater. When Fred arrived at our house, the first thing he did was check the whole house's water pressure. It was quite high and he demonstrated what happened to the pressure by opening more faucets so I'd understand the problem. He also explained how the high pressure can damage plumbed appliances and toilets within our home. He made sure that I understood the issue and gave me a quote for changing our pressure regulator. He ended up coming to replace it on a HOLIDAY EVENING because we'd been delayed in a car accident, without an additional charge. I truly can't say enough for Fred. Once he replaced the regulator, our water heater stopped dripping. We won't use anyone else!

Fred was great. He solved the low water pressure and sink drip plumbing issues I had very quickly and was pleasant to deal with. He seems very experienced and good at what he does. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Top-notch service. Called them Monday morning after my central AC unit stopped over the weekend. Promptly scheduled an appointment for the following morning. Fred showed at the beginning of the 2-hour appointment window we had scheduled. Discovered repair only involved replacing a burnt wire. He also gave a helpful recommendation about the filter, but didn't try to sell me one as he said not yet necessary.Total charge was only $85. I really appreciate the honesty as my unit likely was installed when the house was built in 1967 - I bet many contractors would have said I needed to replace the old unit.
American Ace is awesome. Fred made himself available not once but two different times when the temperatures were near 100 degrees and the air conditioner in the home where we just moved stopped working. He was incredibly busy (understandably), but was kind enough to come in the evening to make sure we were comfortable. He explains what is wrong and quickly makes the repairs. I have already recommended them!

Praise the Lord! Fast and Realistic. NO WEEKEND EMERGENCY FEE'S! Bathroom water leak and house water shut off on a Sunday afternoon, due to my self repair. I called another Co. (BMP) and the answering Service had to ask I if wanted a call back about my request for emergency repairs (duh). I got a call back from that Co. and was asked if I wanted help today and was quoted over $100 price difference for emergency repair vs. waiting for a call back to schedule repairs during reg. bus. hour. After I hung up I kept searching and found Ace American Plumbing, great reviews. I called Ace, left a voice mail. Received a call back promptly from my New Hero Fred at 7:09 pm Sunday. The job is done and he charged substantially less than his competitor. It's now 8:52pm Sunday and I had to take care of other business (cancel other Co.) before opening a yelp account. I will tell everyone who will listen how nice, professional and affordable Fred was...Thanks again Fred!

Called another company in SD (they have TV commercials) on Wednesday and they couldn't get to my A/C issue until next Wednesday so I called Fred after reading the overwhelming positive Yelp reviews. He came out the next day and looked over my system and made recommendations. He arrived on time, made a quick repair, friendly and professional and best of all low cost. Fred was fantastic. My Thermostat wouldn't work and I called about 5 HVAC places in the area. None could come out for days. A couple just wouldn't answer their phone and one quoted me $250 just to come out. Totally ridiculous. I found ACE and Fred said he'd be there in a couple hours. He actually came early. Fixed the issue in no time and everything was back up and running. I will be using him again for any AC/furnace issues I have.

He is amazing!! Was able to come the same day to fix my A/C which we needed in the 100 degree weather. He was in and out within 10 minutes and great to work with. I highly recommend!

Great service and quick repair. Glad he was able to come out (same day) for a late and last minute service call on my ac unit. Rates were also much better than others that were still open at the time.
Fred was able to fit us in the schedule quickly as we lived close by . He quickly fixed the problem and did not oversell me anything . This is an honest contractor with a small family owned business who I would recommend to my friends . Thx , my house is cool once again :-).

Just try to imagine yourself seeing water on your garage floor on a Thanksgiving weekend! Lots of water, coming from the place where your water heater is located...
Quite naturally, you try to think of another reason why that is happening - you just don't want to admit to yourself that yes, it's your water heater.
I tried to call another company that I had used before, but got only their voice mail. I guess, on a Saturday after Thanksgiving everyone was still busy digesting their turkey...American Ace wasn't. They were working.
When I asked Fred when he would be able to come to my house (hoping that would happen sometime on Monday!) - he said: I'll be there in 45 minutes. He arrived in 35 minutes, quickly examined my water heater and explained why it should be replaced.
He was very patient explaining the difference between a 40 and 50 gallon heater, both in terms of water consumption and the price. Since I still wasn't sure, Fred patiently waited while I was seeking advice from my neighbor who had recently replaced his (yes, I asked him what he paid as well!). After I made my decision, Fred told me that he would go get a new water heater right away and get it installed by 8 pm the latest. He finished the job by 6. No worries, no drama. And, have I mentioned that the price was very reasonable?
I had a great experience with this company. No matter whether it's an emergency, or you need some routine work done - believe me: Fred is your guy. I recommend him highly.

Our AC went out on one of the hottest days this summer. I called all over the place to just get someone to call me back. Not only did Fred answer after hours but even offered to come to my home at 9pm. I know he was booked the following day but he squeezed me in around noon. Fred explains everything to you very clearly and tells you about the whole process. He charges a very fair price and was not out to gouge me when he certainly could have. We will definitely use Fred again not only with our AC but with our plumbing as well. What a great find this was on Yelp!
We had a plumbing job and called on Friday night. Fred showed up first thing in the morning and very quickly identified the problem and fixed it. Very pleasing to talk to and a great professional.

When the air conditioner broke during this heatwave, I was pleased someone at American Ace answered his phone, much less promised a same day appointment. But Fred actually had my air conditioning unit fully serviced and running only 2 hours later. Yes, it was some lucky timing, but Fred also charged a fair price, explained service options without any sales pressure, and tested the system was functioning its best before leaving. He even installed the new filters I'd bought but not put in yet. I have to agree with the reviews, this company provides great customer service.

Called as a result of a AC unit which would not cool and kept shutting down. Fred came the next day, and immediately knew what the problem was and how to correct it. Fred, the owner, was polite, courteous and very knowledgeable about the issue at hand. He fixed the problem, a blocked condensate tube, and had me up and running for the next heat wave. Fred's pricing was very fair and included the minimum visit charge, both very fair. A great job for sure!!! Thanks again Fred.
Very responsive team. I was impressed by their friendliness and willingness to be flexible. I felt like my buddy came over to help me solve my A/C problem and worked with me to get the best solution. I called one other company first, and got their answering service. I called Fred next because of his all great reviews, and he answered the phone and was willing to come that night. I really like the flexibility of a small company over a larger company, and Fred and his team have the expertise to boot.
My AC broke in the middle of the heat wave. I called all of the big companies and they were not available for a maintenance call for 2-3 weeks. I called American Ace on Friday and he was at my house on Saturday morning! Not only that, but it was a simple fix and didn't even charge me the full fee.
I am very happy with the service i received from Fred. He was able to work me into his schedule on the same day I called which was a very pleasant surprise. He quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to carry out the repair at a reasonable cost. I will be more than happy to use again, much better experience than with other companies I've used in the past

on time, price as quoted, very responsive and easy to get ahold of.
We checked Yelp for an air conditioning repair man when our AC wouldn't cool the house below 80 degrees on one of the hottest days of the year (so far). Our AC is 18 years old so we figured it had died and we were facing a very expensive repair. We called Fred and he was extremely busy but he said he'd be able to stop by in the late afternoon. He kept in touch via text throughout the day and came when he said he would. He did some diagnostics and determined our breaker had tripped, cutting off power to the AC compressor. We flipped the breaker and voila, problem solved. He checked the coolant and said it was fine, suggested we lock the exterior power box for the AC since otherwise someone could open it and be electrocuted, charged us $68 and was on his way. And we're thrilled because we're sitting in a cool house, not facing a $4000 HVAC replacement We found Fred to be honest, efficient, and a nice guy. We'll call him again if the need arises. I checked Yelp for HVAC companies with good reviews and thencalled around and compared prices for having my AC tuned up. American Ace had the best price. When I called, the first thing that Fred Zandian told me was how I can do this myself and what is involved in a tuneup. Since it had been 5 years since I had my AC checked, I asked him to come out. He was over within an hour and then had to go to Loews to get the correct size filter and showed me how to check my AC temp vs the ambient temp of the room and how to remove the filter to clean. I also asked him a question about a tapping sound in when the toilets flush and he explained it clearly and told me that it is nothing to worry about. Oh, and he also removed a vent in my master bedroom and turned it the correct direction to allow cold air to flow down. He was concerned about disturbing the paint around the vent and I told him that it was not a problem to touch up the paint. He did not charge me any extra. I will definitely be calling him for any future plumbing or HVAC issues!!!
