Best Ductless A/C Services in San Diego CA

I had both positive and negative experiences with Ideal.  However the negative was so bad that I will never again use this company.   I am a property manager who manages several properties.  The heater on one of my properties went out.  I saw several positive reviews on Yelp so I gave Ideal a try.  When I called initially, the person that I spoke with over the phone was very courteous.  She helped me to schedule an appointment very quickly and was flexible in working with me.  After that I didn't hear from anyone for 10 days.  Apparently, a technician went out and spoke to my tenant and ordered the service without consulting with me or calling me.

I called Ideal to find out what was going on and was transferred to an assistant manager.  He was very impatient and simply told me that the job had been completed and that they had installed a new control board for $630.00.  He said that he would send me the bill, eager to get off the phone with me.  I told him that no one had consulted with me and that I was not expecting the price to be so high.  At this point instead of being sympathetic, the assistant manager immediately became extremely rude.  His customer service was horrible, I really couldn't believe how unpleasant he was.  His tone was rude and impatient and he said things like Fine, if you don't like it we can just go and rip it out.  He also said, Most of our customers just will do whatever it takes to get it done, I guess you're different.  This guy had no clue about customer service.  I had him on speaker phone and my wife was just as shocked as me by how rude this guy was.  I finally asked to speak to his supervisor.  

The supervisor/owner called me back.  His demeanor was much more pleasant.  He apologized for the fact that the technician never contacted me and never got my approval prior to installation.  He said that he would work on this so that it wouldn't happen again.  He offered me a $15.00 coupon as well.

The bottom line is that this company did very expensive work without getting my approval and then became unbelievably rude with me when I questioned them.  I was not expecting to be treated so rudely, and will never use Ideal again.

BILL HOWE RESTORATION SERVICES.  A very long story short, after a flood in a rental that I own, I called Bill Howe Restoration services to help come and remediate the damage.   They were completely incompetent.  
They placed drying blowers to dry the area, on TOP of a wet rug and rug pad for a period of 48 hrs- leaving the wet flooring underneath to be further damaged and require complete removal.  The logical thing to do, would have been to remove the wet rug and dry the floors underneath.    Further, my insurance company, as an unbiased 3rd party assessment, determined that the service they provided not only fell short of industry standards & practices - but actually likely caused more damage to the flooring - prolonging the experience and they stated that is was more expensive than usual.  

Up until this point, I had used Bill Howe for all my plumbing needs - but that absolutely will NOT be the case moving forward.  I strongly urge you to explore other plumbers--  a perfect example of how BIGGER is NOT better.

Our A/C wasn't turning on so I called Jeff-N-Carl's because of the reviews on Yelp and they are a Veteran owned business.

Timothy W. showed up and quickly diagnosed the issue was that the thermostat quit working...to ensure that was the only issue, he did a check of the system.  It was just the thermostat...he came and installed a new one the next day.

Highly recommended. Called and got a quote which was  about what I expected the work to cost. I was even able to get the work done same day. Ely came out early and was efficient. What made this experience amazing and a testament to a good honest business is Ely showed me a plumbing code issue that my builders failed to do which could cause my home to flood. He didn't have to tell me but he did and for that I am extremely thankful. Veteran owned and I will be a returning customer.

I continue to have problems with tree roots and my neighbor has similar challenges.  He referred me to Willy at Pacific Drain.  I initially used another company and once Willy at Pacific Drain cleaned out my drains, I will only use Pacific Drain.  We decided to have the drain done with a high pressure better to thoroughly clean-out the roots, which I highly advise.  Eddie and Travis did a superb job.  They were professional and thoroughly explained the process.  I can't speak high enough about the service from Willy, Eddie and Travis...thank you Pacific Drain!

Discovered Anderson via Costco & purchased a Lennox air conditioning system.  I actually signed two home improvement contracts, one directly with Anderson & a duplicate home improvement contract with Costco that incorporates all the terms of the Anderson contract.  I believe this is how Costco stands behind the agreement.  

My down payment was paid directly to Costco.    Jose & Randall installed a 3-ton Lennox 14ACX and their work was professional & only took 4-hours, including a parts run to replace a blown fuse.   The house is pre-plumbed, so the major work was for installation of an A/C, cooling coil & thermostat.  Price includes the standard Lennox 10-year parts warranty, as well as local permits, 2 years of A/C & furnace servicing, plus Anderson's 10-year labor warranty.

In terms of customer service: Excellent.  Lars was my estimator & he was professional, prompt & wore booties coming into the house.  I double-checked Anderson's reputation with the Better Business Bureau (A+), Yelp (3.5 stars) and Google (4.8 stars).  Lars provided me with the most thorough written estimate.

Anderson provided the highest initial estimate.  The estimate also had a written price guarantee to meet or beat any competitor in an apples to apples comparison.  

I also received two other estimates by a competing Lennox authorized dealer; as well as an independent HVAC contractor.   During a follow-up appointment, Lars walked me through how the lowest estimate cut corners in the installation and contract terms (and in fact, the competitor's written estimate did state different parts & a much shorter labor warranty), then proceeded to beat the estimate provided by the competing Lennox dealer.

Ultimately, Anderson's price came out ahead, plus I get a $500 Costco Cash Card and 2% rebate ($100).  Net cost matched the lowest estimate and I have Costco standing behind the contract.  

A/C is running quietly & efficiently as I type.  Great customer service & a great product.  Anderson earned my highest recommendation.

Had a backup in our main line. Called Anderson and they sent a service guy (Luis) out. He fixed our problem quickly & was great! Only $69 too! I will for sure call them again!
