I called the day after the holiday - the owner answered and was out to take a look within 30 min.  He diagnosed, and said he could have someone out at 7:30 am the following morning.  They were right on time.  The two guys sent were professional, friendly, very quick and knowledgeable. So impressed with these two guys!
The installation was not easy - it was not up to code to begin with.  They had to put in a pan, straps, etc.  There was water everywhere, & they cleaned that up.  They had to move a washer dryer, and then put it back when they were done.  They showed me the work.  It took an HOUR people.  I would, and am recommending this company to everyone I know.  It wasn't cheap, and thank god I'm a renter or I would be out $1400.

2nd time calling them was short notice, a contractor backed out at the last  minute and we had to have a sink installed in a new kitchen.  They came out on a Saturday after the 4th of July.  They were on time, professional and fast.  We had a party in the afternoon, and they put in the sink, disposal and dishwasher before anyone got there.  I continue to be impressed by the work ethic that Van Allen's guys have and will call them for all our plumbing needs.

Trevor was very helpful installing a hot water dispenser on my kitchen sink and then coming back out to address another plumbing leak.  I would definitely follow up with him for other handyman services as he was prompt, responsive, and communicates well.

Excellent service! I had one faucet leaking inside, and 2 leaking outside, that I knew about. Mark found a third one leaking, under the house! I am really pleased with his investigation. He wore a mask the whole time, too.

I have used this company many times for both business and residential work. They have always been fair priced and super helpful! I have talked with the owner numerous times and always had great experiences with him and his workers! Even when I had an emergency issue with the water at my house they were on the phone with me and came out as soon as they could to get it fixed. John of Bertani can out to our home on a Saturday afternoon to provide us with expert advice on what should be done to correct an isssue with a shower stall that was leaking.  He was very clear as to how the problem would be correct and shared many tips as to how it could be done in an economical way and still maintaining a high level of quality. This was my first time connecting with a plumber via Yelp and I could not be more pleased!  Luke arrived a few minutes early, which I really like.  The work was done quickly and the result was a flawless repair.  I really appreciate owner run businesses, they take great pride in their work and go the extra mile.  Ohnstad Pluming is now my go to plumber.  Highly recommend you use him for your plumbing needs and, yes, the 530 area code is correct. :)

Despite this review being well overdue, it shouldn't take away from how great 5 Star Plumbing Services is! On August 1st, 2022, I came home and found water pooling in my crawl space due to what I thought was a broken pipe. I immediately shut off my water and started searching for plumbers. I started sending messages in the hopes someone would respond the next day to let me know their availability as I was without water and needed the issue fixed as soon as possible. To my surprise, shortly after sending an inquiry to 5 Star Plumbing Services, I received a text message response in which they asked me for more details and let me know they would have someone call me first thing in the morning to see what time they could come by. The next morning David and Barbara (both extremely kind people) called me and were able to fit me in the schedule for that afternoon. David arrived as scheduled and quickly identified the problem. Thankfully, it was not a broken pipe, rather a pressure relief valve (PRV) that needed to be replaced. David explained to me the issue and was up front and honest about all pricing. He had the replacement part on his truck and was able to fix it at that time. I was so grateful to have found an affordable plumber with great customer service. Without the prompt response of 5 Star Plumbing Services and their willingness to help me out immediately, I would have been without water a lot longer. I have found my plumber and will not only be reaching out to them for any future needs I may have, but will also highly recommend them to anyone in need of plumbing services.

Honest, and a nice guy!

I called Don on a Friday afternoon regarding a problem I was having with my water heater. I didn't think I would be able to get anyone to come out that day. In fact I originally called Jackrabbit Plumbing because they came up first in my google search. They didn't answer so I left a message, waited a 1/2 hour, and called Don when I didn't hear from them. Good thing I didn't wait for Jackrabbit Plumbing to call me back, because they never did.

Don was friendly and very willing to answer my many questions. He was able to fix my water heater just by replacing a couple of inexpensive parts. I was so relieved to not be told that the entire heater needed to be replaced. Thanks Don!

great friendly service, flexibility with setting up time to get the work done. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, did great work, does not try to sell unnecessary work, even showed me how to get my irrigation system working that I didn't know how to use since buying my home a year ago.

These guys are amazing. I called my home warranty people the night before they arrived and they immediately had someone ready to go for the next morning between 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. I told the dispatcher that I needed someone to take care of my leaking sink all before 10:00 and let me tell you- he made it happen !!!. Josh arrived at my home right around 8:30, immediately diagnosed the leaking sink problem, sawed off a pipe with a sawzall, drove to Home Depot for a part, came back, replaced everything, and I had a brand new, shiny, left side sink drain all by about 9:50, 10 min. before my deadline. Very friendly and fast. I loved the fact that he didn't mind wearing booties into my home on the carpet, especially since one of the last plumbers that came out told me that OSHA prohibited him from taking his shoes off in our home ( which is our rule) so he just walked through our home on the carpet with his dirty boots. Not Josh !!! This guy was very respectful, fast and friendly. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect plumber ! A true professional !!! Thank you so much Josh and Friendly Plumbing INC !!! Top notch oufit that put their money where their mouth was and did exactly what they said they would do.

Had a new garbage disposal to install...CNC was recommended by another business in Fernley that has excellent service. So I tried calling CNC 3 or 4 times with no answer, so I left 2 messages at 2 different numbers and no return call after 24 hours. Guess they make more money than they need.

Had to call a company out of Sparks to come do the work!

Josh, came through when I needed him.  Reasonable price and committed to excellence.  He told me job would get done in a certain day and unfortunately another job went late into the afternoon. He called me around 4 to say he was on his way because initially I told him I had a deadline. Well things opened up so I told him  to go home, the next day was no problem. I was impressed by his commitment to follow through on his original agreement.

Our 2 year old water heater was showing signs of age and I did not want to go through the problem of having in fail or start leaking and have to find a replacement in an urgent situation.  I contacted Johnson Plumbing on the the recommendation of a friend and received a quick estimate and scheduled the replacement.  Within a few days Ken and his son were here and installed our new water heater.  We couldn't be more pleased.  They were prompt, courteous and fair priced.

Jesse was prompt and efficient. He was friendly and explained everything that was going on. He got our water heater replaced lickety split with all new valves also. The job looks great! It's nice to have hot water again. He also explained the proper way to flush it every year to extend its life.

We own a commercial building with two bathrooms. One toilet was clogged and after trying plunging and a bit of snaking we were unable to remedy the problem. I called Roto-Rooter because who else? After calling, Melvin arrived within 20 minutes. After another 25 minutes our problems were solved. Melvin was professional, clean working and efficient. In addition, while working he taught me a lot about plumbing in general. Would I recommend Roto-Rooter again? You bet! Thanks Roto-Rooter.

I had a serious leak in main water valve that controlled water into the house.  He is very busy but said the nature of the leak needs immediate attention and came out first thing in am. They were fast working and real pro's. This valve was changed two years ago by Ben Franklin Plumbing with a very inferior valve for about twice the price and twice t he time to fix. Thank you Joe for great service.
