This is the first time I have used Hoffman Plumbing. After reading their reviews I gave them a shot and was not disappointed. I will continue to use them for any future needs. . I couldn't have asked for better service. The office staff was nice to talk to. Richie our service tech was great. Due to weather he called to let us know he was running late. He did a fantastic job....I would highly recommend them.

I give one star for following up to tell me that they just couldn't help me. Then I was told two days after my initial call that they could help me if I would consider it an emergency so they could charge me more money and put me ahead of others. The young receptionist that was speaking to me seemed to giggle and laugh as if it were embarrassing that she couldn't get me on the schedule sooner because they were just too busy. When a possible new customer is calling you with a leaking water heater and you're giggling because you can't get them help but suggest they declare it an emergency it's not a good business practice. York plumbing, a small family owned business with three plumbers were able to address my problem the same day they didn't have to be told it was an emergency when I said it was leaking they knew it was an emergency and they ordered a new water and it was scheduled to be installed three days later. York sent a plumber to my home the 1st day and immediately assessed my issue and ordered a replacement water heater based on the photographs I sent of the old one. I sent those same photographs to the Hoffman rep after the fact but they asked me to send them pictures and I told her I already did. Hoffman has a great reputation. I can see that but when someone calls with an issue like this, there needs to be a greater sense of urgency without the we can do it now, but it'll cost you more.

Hoffman actually deserves more than just 5 Stars. Their level of customer service is the Gold Standard, actually Platinum. I left a phone message with them this morning concerning a leaking kitchen sink and within minutes had a call back. They responded within the hour to make the repairs. Jessie was extremely courteous, efficient and neat. I strongly recommend using Hoffman for all your plumbing needs.

Good team but not good company policies. They charge 50-100% mark up on parts and are not upfront about it. They almost concealed the price until late as I asked for it at the time of order and they said they don't know yet. It was a $1600.

I had a sewer pump replaced, team came for diagnosis and I was not told by the office that there is a minimum $165 charge (1 hr minimum). Then they ordered a replacement part and when they came to replace - gave me a shocker that it would be $1600 for the pump. I remember seeing pumps under $1000, so asked about their policy on mark up and was told it is 25-100%. I still got the work done and they gave a 10% discount. I found the same pump at all the dealers for $900-$1000. So they still have 50% markup and didn't inform me before ordering the part about the cost.

Came home from shopping and found that the hot water heater was shooting water out everywhere. The repair man arrived the next morning with a new unit. He had it totally installed and up to new specs in several hours. Great fast service. Hunny is happy she can do her dishes now again.

We accidentally clogged our kitchen drain and yelped for a plumber. Got an appointment for 2 hours later, they showed up on time and fixed my drain in a half hour. They were courteous and prompt and didn't poke fun at me for not knowing rice can't go in a garbage disposal. Thanks!! Will definitely spread the word and use them again!

We needed work done on our inground sprinkler system. Replacing two sections of water lines. They were excellent in calling back to discuss problem. But that is where the problem was. They wanted to charge 2 hours of driving before even starting the project. I understand that but what if they have three or four jobs that day in our area. Then that is my complaint. Getting 6 to eight hours of billing for two hours of driving from Reno. When your hourerly wage is well over $100 dollors that adds up to alot.Two much money for two little work.

Joe has come through for us at the restaurant a couple of times, he knows emergencies happen and he is always fast to come by and fix our issues. I haven't had many pleasant experiences with plumbing companies until I hired Hoffman Plumbing. They're the best and I will definitely use them again. Even their rates are good. Even though they're very busy, they came to my house the same day and made a quick repair to a broken pipe fitting. I highly recommend Hoffman Plumbing. You can't go wrong with these guys.

I contacted Hoffman plumbing online looking for plumber to replace an outdoor faucet. I was shocked to get a response immediately from Hoffman plumbing. They gave me an estimate of charges and an appointment date. So I was scheduled for tomorrow for the installation. They notified me today, the job could be done. The job was completed by Zack and his helper. The helper was learning the trade and did great job in tight quarters. What I like about Hoffman plumbing, there very responsive, communicate well, and do a great job. I have been fighting this faucet for 20 years, and within a few minutes my day changed to happy, happy, happy. Thank you Hoffman Plumbing for doing a great job in timely manner.

I live in a 4 unit apartment building and when I have any Plumbing problems I need to it fixed immediately. I was not having any luck with finding a plumber that could get over to my place the same day. I just happened to call Hoffman plumbing and Joe sent out his partner Ryan to help snake a drain, after about 5 minutes we found his snake sticking out of my front yard. I had noticed my plumbing was backing up on the 2nd floor and leaking through the ceiling of the below garage.

I had called every plumber in town on my emergency situation and I was being told, Sorry we're booked until the end of December-January. In panic, I had called around looking for plumbers for at least an hour, continually getting rejected, until I found this awesome company. They took the time to listen and tried to assist me in my situation immediately. Within 24 hours, I had help and reassurance that my plumbing would be ok despite a never ending plumbing leak in my ceiling and backed up plumbing. Joe and this company saved the day and he was extremely helpful, caring, and very professional. What a rarity for a company and people that actually care for their customers, especially during a busy time of year around the holidays.
Me and my family are extremely thankful and we are impressed that they immediately helped to remedy this situation while other plumbing companies failed to assist a neighbor in need. This company that helped, now has a customer for life now, and I highly recommend them to anyone needing quick and quality care. Thank you so much!

Hoffman Plumbing is great! I was out of town and my tenant called with a leaking water heater. Hoffman Plumbing was so responsive and sent Blake out and he replaced it right away. He also told me what was wrong with the other one (which was less than a year old!). The next day my tenant had a new (unrelated) sewer drain problem. Blake couldn't make it but made sure Gio would be out ASAP. Gio cleared the drains and was also communicative and helpful.

Pricing was reasonable and service was excellent!

We had a new floor installed last week and the installers reset our master bath toilet and it kept leaking so I told them I would call a plumber. I went onto yelp and saw the reviews for Hoffman Plumbing. I sent a text on yelp.... Got an immediate response. Annie then called me from Hoffman and said they could get out within 3 hours. Raymond and his apprentice Justice arrived and fixed the toilet within 30 minutes. They were professional, pleasant and Raymond and I discovered we grew up in the same area of Southern California....we had a great conversation and I made two new friends and met my future 'go to' plumber. I recommend them with five stars!!!

Dont want to go into too much detail. Plumber came out and right away without looking at the least intrusive, simple fix, wanted to go and cut into outer wall structure for access to pipes . I said no. I then made a simple suggestion and after he followed it, job was done without the proposed destruction of building exterior. which would have been aprox $1000.00 ( just to repair that damage ) In the end part was $20.00 and 1 hr labor. Zero destruction. Hate to think if my Mother was alone here to deal with the issue without me here. And I am the farthest thing from a plumber. Scary. Wont use again. Its like a mechanic wanting to rebuild your engine without first checking to see if a spark plugs are fouled up.

Contacted office to replace my garage disposal and was greeted by the kindest scheduler ever.
I had to change the date several times and she was very understanding. The plumber that came out was quick, efficient and personable. He answered all my questions and provided me with tips on what not to put in garbage disposal. The price was extremely reasonable. It only took him 1/2 hour to install. I am extremely pleased and will call them again if I need a plumber.

One of the best companies I've worked with; these guys really have it together. They're really responsive when you have a problem; I got an email back quickly and then Jennifer reached out first thing the next day. Then they call some time before arrival with an estimated arrival time. Jesse was thorough, professional, and took the time to look everything over. His recommendations were practical, and he was honest about what was important. At the end of the visit, the very reasonable invoice was quickly sent. When I needed a followup appointment, it was set up in minutes.

After calling 5 plumbers, 3 who never called back, 2 didn't service my area, and several others were booked out 6 weeks. I called Hoffman Plumbing yesterday and was told they couldn't come out that day but would be here tomorrow at 10. I couldn't believe it. The plumber, Braden, called ahead to make sure he was bringing the right parts and tools for my job. I needed a gas line on my deck for my new grill, install a new garbage disposal, and find where a new toilet was leaking. He tackled the gas line first, after taking out the drawers under the cook top and helping unload the drawers. After he was done he asked for me to come out and light it and showed about the shot-off valve. Next the disposal, and checked the toilet. The leak was due to a handyman installation and he hadn't tightened the bolt inside the tank. He went to the other 3 toilets and they all needed tightening. Braden was efficient, cleaned up everything, and very knowledgeable. I will definitely call Hoffman Plumbing for any further needs, and maybe get Braden again too!

Hoffman Plumbing is the best plumbing company I have ever used! Joe Ortiz, the owner, was so prompt and courteous. When our hot water heater stopped working Hoffman responded in less than a day and sent an expert repairman. Within an hour he had replaced the gas controller and fixed the water heater. He was excellent and had the parts available. He did not try to sell us a new water heater as many plumbers would do but just fixed it. I would highly recommend.

I decided to try grinding up about 2 dozen eggshells in my garbage disposal which immediately stopped up the drainage in my kitchen sinks. I knew the blockage was in the trap under my sinks so I was able to take apart and clean out the trap but I didn't have the strength to put it back into place. I called Hoffman and Joe stopped by on his way to another appointment, put the trap back into place, and didn't even charge me. He was in and out in less than 5 minutes wishing me a Merry Christmas. I gave him a little thank you gift and told him how much I appreciated him taking the time to help me. What a great Christmas season experience. Thanks so much, Joe. I called my regular plumber last week about replacing my garbage disposal. He couldn't come out and recommended two companies. One didn't have great reviews and the other never returned my call. After reading reviews, I called Joe at Hoffman plumbing. Joe called back within five minutes to set up an appointment. This morning, he called to say he was running late but was still here within an hour of the appointment time (he wanted to clean up from his first appointmrnt). Joe replaced the disposal and checked a toilet for me also. Joe was professional, efficient, ressonable and above all wonderful to deal with. I have found myself a new plumber and would highly recommend him to anyone who needs plumbing services. It was so nice to get someone to actually return a phone call and follow through. Refreshing these days where common courtesy seems to be lost for a lot of businesses.

Until this morning, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 29, 2020 , I have never spoken to you on the phone concerning the plumbing problem with Jessie. And this morning , Wednesday, when you called and we spoke, you mentioned that at the time you received my letter , the same as the Yelp review, you immediately cancelled Jessie's final $145 charge. However, neither you nor any other member of your team let me know. You also mentioned that you thought one new faucet had been installed in the kitchen, tho Jessie's invoice shows there were no installations. That is the faucet that Jessie said would not fit. When you learned this morning that Jessie had installed neither faucet, you said you were also going to reverse the $326.25. I think that's very kind of you and more than fair. Thank you so much for that, I appreciate it so very much. When you said, this morning, January 29, that you would like to have the chance to install both faucets properly and would do the work yourself, I told you that both new faucets were already installed and had been for at least two weeks. But I appreciate your offering your services, with the promise I would not be dealing with Jessie next time. I chose you because of your excellent rating, which obviously does not include Jessie, but I can understand why you deserve this high rating with your fair play and high degree of honesty. I firmly believe your actions show that you deserve it.

Since your phone call of January 29, I have received in the mail your refund check of the charge of $326.25 that I willingly paid to Jessie for his first day's work, even though no faucets had been installed. And I was not charged for Jessie's final $145.00 charge. I have faith in you. I do hope, with further training, Jessie can become a plumber.

I called Hoffman Plumbing because my 17 year old gas water heater was leaking. Joe (owner) and Jessie (tech) arrived when they said they would and were professional and answered all of my questions. It's so hard to find honest, reliable trades in the Tahoe Basin but Hoffman Plumbing is definitely one of them. We had them come out to prep a gas line for a new gas stove and they were awesome. They returned our phone calls promptly, were very proactive (stopped by the day before the scheduled job to make sure they brought the required tools and fixtures), showed up on time and did great work. The plumber was also very friendly. Highly recommended.

Requested an estimate to replace a tankless water heater. I sent pictures of the current installation. After waiting a week, received an email saying they could not help me because it was a boiler. I would be cautious of service from those who cannot properly identify the device nor take the time to verify with the customer. Maybe my heater identified as a boiler and did not tell me.

You missed the point, the office contact told me 2 days, if you cannot meet that that timeframe, don't say it.

The pictures sent are not a boiler, if you don't want to do tankless installation then don't offer to estimate. If you can't tell what's is the picture, ask.

Murphy's law struck. I was out of town, and my wife called to say that drains in the house were plugged and sewage was backing up. And, of course, it is after hours. I called Hoffman, and they responded and cleared up a significant clog. I've used them before for water heater installation and other small projects, and I will continue to use them.

I appreciate their responsiveness and that they came out late and resolved our problem, avoiding a huge mess.

I have extensive experience with construction, and I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful my experience was with Hoffman Plumbing. We had a complicated job, but the employees were all conscientious, competent, friendly, and focused. They were proactive in solving problems and always had a solution for me when an issue arose. Ray is detail-oriented, organized, and knowledgeable, and he always found a solution to any problem. Justin and Justice were always available to complete a last-minute fix. Cesar is extremely talented in construction knowledge, and he got the job done! Paul and Annie were always ready to schedule a last-minute issue and help with planning. No one wants plumbing issues but IF you have one don't hesitate to call Hoffman Plumbing! From the first call to the actual install it was a pleasant experience. Lisa in office was very knowledgeable, understanding, Patient and kind. Richie, who installed hot water tank had respect, kindness and understanding on protecting our carpet(hot water tank is inside house) knew what he was doing! Not one drop of water on carpet! A+++ all the way to the clean up. Customer service that doesn't seem to be a priority anymore. A bonus was our new tank is made in the USA!!!
Seeing and reading all the 5 star reviews was important in making the choice on who to call.
Have told several neighbors and friends about Hoffman plumbing. Will not hesitate to call them if a plumber is needed in the future.

Joe was recommended to us by the real estate agent who helped us buy this house in Carson City. We asked Joe to fix a sewer pipe that was leaking in 4 places, a leaky 2 drain pipe, fix a hose bib that was leaking under the house, and install a new water heater and toilet. The repairs were from the inspection report associated with the purchase of the house and the new installs were upgrades we chose to do. Joe is upstanding and honest, and took his time to make sure he and his customer (us) were on the same page as to scope. We felt his charges were reasonable.

Joe couldn't physically fit to fix the hose bib, but he has lined up an associate to do it. We will be asking Joe to come back after flooring is done, to install the toilet and plumb in a new sink.

Uh-oh. Left the hose attached outside and it froze and split the pipe. Duh.

Sent a request for a bid to Hoffman through Yelp and they responded within 30 minutes - on a Saturday. It could wait until Monday, they called first thing, and said they could be out on Wednesday. Got a call from the service guy who gave me the time he'd be there, and he was. Found the problem and fixed it in about 30 minutes. Tested our water pressure and made a few other suggestions. He was very courteous and friendly. Charged me $50 less than the nearest competitor. What more could you ask?

I wish I could give this company a good review but I absolutely cannot and I would like to protect other people from them. There are a few things that went wrong here. People should know that

1. this company especially the owner of the company does not keep their word

2. they do not fix what they break

3. they record phone calls without consent or letting you know that the phone call is recorded which is illegal.

To get into more detail, Hoffman plumbing was supposed to replace my water heater. I had an appointment scheduled for 2:30 PM which according to the scheuler was supposed to take between 1-2 hours. At 12:28PM I received a call that they will be early (arriving 1:30) which for me wasn't that big of a deal but might be for others. They arrived at about 1:30 PM and got to work to replace my water heater. It took them over 4 hours to replace it which again is fine but might not be ok for other with a tighter schedule. During the replacement they turned of my water and gas and worked very closely to my heater. When they were done replacing my water heater they did not check if my heater worked, and it did not. They left and the temperature in my home dropped to 55 degrees. I called them in the morning and Sean came back to take a look at it. He found out that the ignition broke off which cost over $500 to fix. The owner called and said he would pay for it, a little later he called again and said he would pay for half of it, then he TEXTED that he won't pay for any of it which is very unprofessional. I do not recommend any business with this company. I know that things can break but in my opinion you have to fix what you break.

It's tough to get service when you live in a small rural community. And especially difficult to get an esitmate done. Joe from Hoffman's plumbing was super helpful! He scheduled a time to have one of his guys come up and look at our plumbing issues after they completed another job not too far away. Not only did the Hoffman plumber come up the mountain, he was able to diagnose and fix our issues on the spot for a very reasonable fee! I highly recommend this company.

Just wanted to give kudos to Hoffman Plumbing. We just moved into a new home and realized we had a gas valve/line coming up through the floor of laundry room that was in the way of being able to push back our clothes dryer (electric dryer) closer to the wall. On top of that, we are having new flooring installed in a couple days. We really needed this handled before the new floors arrive and Joe was gracious enough to squeeze us in! He was able to remove the line and was the hero of the day. We hope not to need plumbing services in the future, but if we do, Hoffman will be our first call.

Our yard hydrant was leaking at its base, and the water had to be shutoff at the street due to the leak. Jesse showed up within an hour of the initial contact with Hoffman, took a quick look at the problem, grabbed a shovel and started digging. He dug out a hole almost 6 feet deep, made the repair and was on his way just 3 hours later. Throughout the excavation and repair he was very professional and personable. I would highly recommend them.

My mom's water heater started leaking Christmas evening - of course a holiday weekend... first thing Monday morning I called Hoffman Plumbing and chatted with Annie. She asked a few questions, asked for a few photos, gave a quick, thorough and complete quote. I gave the go-ahead for the replacement. Not too long later, after talking to my brother (who decided he and my boyfriend could do it), I cancelled. The next day, in the horrible weather, we reconsidered and called back. Annie was great and scheduled us for 2pm on Wednesday.

Wednesday afternoon came and the most delightful young man (Giovanni) appeared. He was kind , professional and fast. He explained how the settings work, what to watch for, where to set the temperature. He was patient and double checked the connections while showing what he was looking for.

We can't say enough about how great Hoffman Plumbing is - won't ever call anyone else!

It was a Friday and my septic system was completely plugged. Joe was able to send Al out and he tried to snake the line. But my system was so badly plugged he knew it was going to be a major job.
That night Joe brought the excavator out and the next day Al and his partner dug out the line. It was plugged for 15 feet. They discovered that the existing pipe was only 3 in diameter and was crimped causing the blockage. Definitely not up to code. They took an emergency situation and did an exemplory job at a very fair price. I now have a 4 pipe that is up to code.
I can't thank them enough for making me a priority and getting my house back to civilization. And, at a very fair price.

The toilet at our vacation home in Zephyr Cove overflowed while a guest was there and I was 300 miles away. I initially used Hoffman Plumbing for some minor plumbing issues and found them professional and courteous, offered a Veteran discount. Then when I had a houseful of out of town guests during terrible cold, rain, and snow, my water heater went out. Jacob worked me in at the end of the day I called, identified the problem, said he would get the parts the next day and work me in. He was back mid-afternoon the next day, did the repair, and drained and cleaned my water heater. There was no attempt to convince me I needed a new hot water heater. He was efficient, knowledgeable, very professional, and got along great with my big dog. The price was extremely reasonable. And we were all grateful for a working water heater.

Usually I am leaving bad reviews, but this company deserves to be highlighted as they are seriously the best and most honest company I have ever dealt with!!!Straight up and down to biz! Other companies said it would be astronomical prices, have to do this add that, block off highway lanes, heavy equipment to dig, etc...but Hoffman Plumbing sent Darian out, he scoped the drain, found the issue, marked it, quoted it way less than the price of the other guys and did it in less than a full day!! Are you looking for a plumber? If so, please know that I would not hesitate to call Hoffman Plumbing for future plumbing needs. The plumber I have been using for the last decade and a half ended his business, and so we were forced to make some decisions. Again, my friends at Yelp came through. Hoffman had dozens of 5 star reviews and, as you can see, I also gave them five stars.

Communication was great. The ladies that answer the phone were knowledgeable and if they didn't have the answer, they'd call you back with the correct information.

The gentleman that did the work showed up within the window of time I had been provided with, and he was diligent in getting the job done. I think his name was Lane. He wasn't even annoyed by my questions, and I can be annoying.

So, I will be using them again when I need a plumber.

If you need any plumbing done, these are the guys to call. The owner, Joe, came out to my house (earlier than previously expected) to assess our water heater situation, and it was discovered that we needed a new one. He did call the manufacturer to see about getting parts, but straight up told us that he couldn't guarantee it. My household agreed to just replace the heater, and Joe told us he couldn't do it that day, cuz he didn't have what he needed, but that he'd do it the next day, and that he'd call us when he was done with an earlier job, so around 10-ish. He called us to let us know he was on his way over at 8:30 that morning, came and installed a new water heater for us. It took about 2hrs or so, and the cost was nowhere near what I thought it would be.

Basically, these guys are very professional, have incredible customer service, and they get the job done. I've had trouble with getting plumbing contractors to come out to our house before, but these guys? Fantastic. I will definitely be calling them for any future plumbing needs.

Our hot water heater finally died so we needed a new one, fast. I had requested a 50gal but only a 40gal would fit in the small space. The problem is no one said anything about a 50 wouldn't fit in there until I saw it was installed and 40 gallons. I couldn't find one that would fit online either, so I don't doub it, but they should have said something. The poor plumber was like Oh...they didn't tell you? I'm really sorry. You can call the office if this isn't going to work and they'll work with you.

Everything else went great. Clean install done the same day. The plumber was knowledgeable and helpful. The water heater is working really well, no issues with hot water despite the same size tank as we had before. Lifetime warranty as long as we have them come out and service once a year. We don't plan to move so this should work out fine.

Joe and team are great! I just bought a 1920s home and pipes were pouring water into the basement (obviously, not a desired state!). The pipes and plumbing desperately needed some love and Hoffman Plumbing was the right choice. They are reasonably priced and booked about a week out. So we had a leak underneath our house and we called Hoffman Plumbing on a Friday he asked me to call him back on Monday I called him back on Monday he said he could have somebody come out that Wednesday at noon 1230 on Wednesday I had to call their office and find out why nobody was here she informed me that Joe put it in as 2 o'clock and when Joe and I had talked on Monday I told him I had an appointment on Wednesday and I could make it back in time by noon we both said noon about two or three times and when I talk to Joe on Wednesday after 1230 after calling the office he informed me that he told me 2 PM and I said no you said 12 because I wrote it on my calendar and then he asked me about five times do I want to cancel and I said no I got to have my pipe fixed why would I want to cancel on top of it all they charge $145 an hour and they sent two guys out to do a half an hour job which I felt was a rip off to pay an extra $145 for an extra guy then he told me about a water system that was better than ours and he also told me we shouldAn alarm for the water I've asked him three times to send me the information and prices and all he did was send me the links I would not recommend these guys to anybody totally dissatisfied with Joe the workers were great but they overcharge

We have a vacation home outside of Carson city and when we arrived the day after Christmas at 6 PM we noticed that the carpet in the basement bedroom was soaked. I called every place I could find and left a message- they were the first to get back to me the next morning. Alan arrived at 1:00 (an hour early! That never happens) and had the issue resolved (copper elbow joint or something like that came off) in 15 minutes. The water heater in our vacation rental stopped working on a Saturday, while a guest was in the home. I called a couple plumbers for emergency repair, but Hoffman was was the only plumber to pick up the phone at 7pm on a Saturday night.

They started the repair on Sunday morning and were done replacing the water heater in about 2 hours. Minimal inconvenience for the guests.

Sunday, Sept 9, had a hot water heater issue....water spewing at valve near the top. Called Hoffman plumbing 9am Monday morning, and was told they were booked solid, but would try to squeeze us in. To our surprise, within 40 min, one of their technicians was knocking at our door. After the initial inspection, we were told we probably needed a new heater...an expense were weren't hoping to incur. He spent some more time checking things out, and 30 min and just $200 (total...parts, labor, service call) later, our hot water heater was working perfectly. Not only were they extremely quick to respond, but the tech was awesome. Could have hosed us with a new heater....but took the time and found out to be unnecessary. Nice to know that honesty, integrity, and true customer service still exists....a least with Hoffman plumbing !!! Hats off to the entire company....best ever !!!!!

Made an appointment with the owner Joe, to estimate replacing my sewer line. After arranging my schedule to be available, I had to call the office after an hour and a half of waiting and was told he didn't have the necessary equipment for the task so it would have to be rescheduled.
Being the owner one would normally expect he would be fully prepared for the task given a week's advanced notice. Under the circumstances, one would also expect the courtesy of a call to reschedule prior to the date of the scheduled appointment AND a personal call FROM JOE to apologize for the inconvenience and disrespect for future customers.
Can't address the quality of their workbut HOFFMAN PLUMBING does not seem to respect or value their potential customers.
If you are into having others waste your time, call HOFFMAN PLUMBING.

We had our water heater die on a Saturday morning. I contacted Hoffman Plumbing through the Yelp app for a quote. The woman called within 5 minutes and gave us a quote over the phone. She told us the technician would come by that day to see what was wrong and would be able to do a new water heater installation on Tuesday, if we needed a new one. We found out that our dead water heater was 13 years old, so we weren't even going to attempt to fix it and we just wanted a new one. When the technician called, he told us that he wouldn't have time to come out that day, and that he could do it the following day (Sunday), but that we would be charged an overtime fee since it was a Sunday. We decided to keep our Tuesday appointment to avoid the additional charge. A few hours later he called us back to let us know that they had the new water heater in stock and they could do it the following day without any additional charges. We were available, so he came out at 8am on Sunday to replace it. The technician was friendly and knowledgeable. We've had the new one for about a week and so far, so good. Also, they do offer a veteran/military discount.

Our upstairs tub hadn't been draining, and it was due to a malfunctioning stopper. I called in the evening the day before to schedule an appointment and the employee who I spoke to was very helpful. I accidentally called the wrong location, so they gave me the right information and I got everything set up. Our plumber Jake explained thoroughly everything that was going on and all the options we had going foreword. He didn't push doing expensive work right away and reassured that even if we don't replace the issue we will still have working plumbing. We will eventually move forward with the repairs recommended, and even will use these guys for other repairs and upgrades we want to make.

tldr; didn't feel like they were cash grabbing by pushing expensive work, got the job done fast, friendly attitudes from all, good work, and straightforward and transparent pricing. 10/10

I was told that I had a leak in my outside sprinkler pipes. They sent Justin out the next day and confirmed a small leak. The leak was identified and taken care of within 2 days. There was a suggestion that I needed a French Drain so I called Hoffman and asked them if they would come back out and confirm whether or not necessary and give me an estimate. My husband and I keep talking about how lucky we are that we asked Hoffmann plumbing to help us with our plumbing while we upgrade our master bath. Since we talk about is so much I decided I would tell you why we are so lucky. Hoffman sent us a team of two great guys, Curt and Lane. Curt found the source of a problem we have been having since we bought our home. Our toilets had a terrible time flushing and in the master bath there was a toilet that flushed so hard it was scary. Curt found the last plumbers that worked on the house, before we bought it, actually had the pipes leading to our septic tank slanted towards the house instead of away from the house. We can't believe the difference in the flushing efficiency of all of our toilets now that this issue has been corrected. Curt and Lane also did a great job moving all of the plumbing to accommodate our new bathroom design. Curt made sure all of the measures that will make us even happier were taken to make this bathroom remodel worthwhile. To wrap this up I want to say that Curt and Lane have a great work ethic. There was a leak in the wall from our water heater pipes into the house and I needed a plumber quick. My normal plumber company I usually call was booked for the week so onto Yelp I went and found Hoffman's Plumbing. They were busy too, but put me on their waitlist and their receptionist said she would call all her service guys to see if they could fit me in their schedule. They were able to fit me in for the next day and Geo was assigned to the job. Geo quickly found the leak, replaced the portion of the pipe that was leaking and even gave me some recommendations on how to handle the damage to the walls from the leak. The service was reasonably priced and Geo was very thorough - fixed the leak and made sure to clean up the work area when he was done. With this being such a pleasant experience, I will make sure to call Hoffman's Plumbing again next time I have any plumbing issues.

Asked for a water softener !!
Paid 2240 only got water conditioner
Contractors board and my own credit card company was not able to make this company stand by their work since the nuvo company is allowed to call a conditioner a softener
Even ansi knows nuvo not a softener as only salt can soften water
So I paid 2240 to find out never call this company unless you just feel like donating some cash !!!!
Very sad way to treat customers!!

I had an emergency plumbing issue where a line inside an interior wall was leaking. They were able alter their current schedule to get to me within a hour sending a crew from Carson City. Their employees were on time, professional and knowledgeable. They were able to make the repair. This is the second time Hoffman plumbing has bailed me out of a emergency situation. They are my go to plumbing company. Always profession with great customer service

I had a water main break on Sunday morning 5am that looked like Niagara Falls . The county closed the waterline to the house at 6:30 am. ( the break was caused by a snow plow hitting the box which contains the main valve connecting the water supply to the house . It had been moved more then 2 inches ... enough to crack the pipes exiting toward the house ) I then called every plumbing company that listed emergency or 24 hour service on Yelp and elsewhere . Only 2 replied !!. Sunday afternoon Hoffman plumbing arrived and could not mend the line . Monday they returned and mended the line but there was no water pressure . The plumber was not prepared to stay or diagnose the problem ... I communicated with the office and the operations manager came to assess the issue . He organized and accompanied 2 plumbers the next day who stayed till the job was complete ... my monster flow water pressure was back to normal. The line had been blocked by debris that got in the line when it broke. Restoring the lines was a much bigger job then repairing the broken pipe . What I thought would be a simple job turned into a more complex issue. Hoffman had the expertise to diagnose and repair the 3 problems that had caused my no water flow . Hoffman is now my plumber . They showed up when others didn't reply or were scheduling weeks out... and they got the job done. That's what you need.

I highly recommend this company. They had to come back twice to fix the problem and they did. They followed up beautifully and came out and did the job in a timely, clean and professional manner! Service was exceptional! I did not expect them to get back to me at 9 pm on a weeknight when I submitted my request through Yelp...I had a response in 5 minutes, telling me how to shut my water off and assuring me someone would be at my home at 7 am. This was followed up by a phone call in the morning and then Jesse showed up right on time. It was a much quicker fix than I had anticipated and the price did not hurt either. Look, no one WANTS to call a plumber. But when you have to, call Hoffman! They made it so easy and painless I will definitely be using them again and recommend to all.

Amazing. Best ever service from a plumber. From Annie, who got our appointment scheduled, to Alan, who did the plumbing work, I have never had a better experience with a plumber in Reno. Annie got it started by finding someone to help us on the 4th of July! Alan investigated the problem and found that the water heater igniter had gone bad. He replaced the water heater igniter efficiently and professionally. He has a great personality, and we hope to use him for all our plumbing needs in the future. The price was very reasonable, and he did not try to sell us anything other than what we needed. I would recommend Hoffman Plumbing to anyone needing help from an honest, highly capable, and professional plumber.

They've definitely made a return customer out of me. They were able to fit me in the schedule very quickly. I had a difficult and unique issue involving water hammering between my plumbing and irrigation. Even though the first fix didn't completely solve the issue, Jesse and Joe made sure to make me a priority until it was fixed, even though they don't often work on irrigation. This included them having to do some investigation and contact irrigation experts for some ideas. I don't know many companies that would go through what they went through for a single customer. In the end, Joe's problem solving ability is what fixed the problem.

I'm thoroughly impressed with their level of service. Their pricing was very fair and I can't say enough good things about them. They have made a loyal customer out of me.

I called yesterday around 3:18pm, the lady was nice and all, she was having trouble with the schedule so I told her to take her time and text me to let me know how soon and what time they could come. She told me she would get back to me at 4pm the latest. Never heard back, so I called someone else. This morning another lady called she was sounding nice and apologetic and some how I was either put on hold or lines were crossed (she didn't even bother ending the call with me) but she started talking to one of the employees (some thing about a Tahoe company making sure of their business schedule ) but she mentioned me first and she referred to me as confused or something like that because I gave her my name maiden name first and then I remember I gave yesterday the lady my married name but the cell phone I called her is under my husband's name so now I am confused. I'm sorry but not sorry, she woke me up and I took her phone call, and prior to hearing the way she was referring of me, I told her that I would definitely consider them for next time. Now I am not so sure. I also didn't appreciate that she didn't even bother to make sure I was off the phone nor she had ended the call. I got disappointed and just hung up the phone.

We had an issue with our water heater leaking on a Saturday. We were able to get a hold of Hoffman right away and make arrangements for it to be replaced. Very quick service and high quality of workmanship. Braden was the plumber who came to the house to complete the job and he was on time and professional. We're very happy with the quality of his workmanship. The whole job came out a little cheaper than we originally expected making us super happy.

I want to thank Erin and the guys at Hoffman plumbing for a job well done. We had a shower drain blockage which started to turn into an upstairs nightmare. They got out literally within the hour got it snaked and cleared. Can't tell you how much we appreciate everything. These should be your go to plumbers in Reno !!!

Hoffman Plumbing is my go to from now on! Great customer service, prompt response,and follow up. It's easy to give a good rating when every thing goes smoothly,but the real test of a company is when things don't go as planned. Joe was right on it and got it resolved. I could not be more impressed.
