Best Drain Installation in Reno NV

I bought an older house in Cold Springs and after 1 year, my hot water heater took a dump. I thought all hope was lost.

Van Allen came in and saved the day. They diagnosed an issue due to corrosion and I had hot water within the day. Same day cold to hot water is what people truly want and it happened with ease. 1 hr of work and the super skilled tech was on his way. I would recommend this company to any living human.

Make sure you get everything in writing! I had a plumbing leak and was under quoted by almost $1,000.00! Then they left a portion unfinished and I received an additional bill for $250 to finish the job that should have been included in the first $4,300.00.

They did finish the job, but terrible communication between the manager and his workers and I would not use them again. I suggest getting quotes from other companies because I felt I was significantly over charged!

Today was my first time calling Trever & he was very nice & knowledgeable.  My mother is 90 years old & very hard of hearing, but Trever was very patient answering her questions. We had a leak & water was all over the garage. He quickly found the problem & was fixed! Trever also cleaned up the mess for us. My mother & I will be calling Trever next week to pickup & install a new water softener unit.  We highly recommend Trever!!  We have quite a few household repairs & we will be calling on Trever for the job.

This was my first time connecting with a plumber via Yelp and I could not be more pleased!  Luke arrived a few minutes early, which I really like.  The work was done quickly and the result was a flawless repair.  I really appreciate owner run businesses, they take great pride in their work and go the extra mile.  Ohnstad Pluming is now my go to plumber.  Highly recommend you use him for your plumbing needs and, yes, the 530 area code is correct. :)

Long review, but I feel you need the backstory.

My tub was slow to drain, and I purchased a Home Warranty a couple years ago, so I put in a claim. The company sent out Roto Rooter. I figured, it's a National company, so they should be able to fix this, right?

Well, after the guys said they snaked the drain about 10 feet, the snake wouldn't go any farther. They said, because the house was old, the line needed to be replaced. Sounded reasonable. The bill after snaking the line was over $260! AND....my tub drained slower than before they got there!

In comes Rooter Bee's AJ. He was super logical even on the phone call, and was able to come out the next day. He was prompt, clean, courteous, and incredibly smart and logical in diagnosing what could be happening.

AJ did a full diagnosis before starting to work, which the other plumbers did not. He went into the crawl space and found MY LINE HAD ALREADY BEEN REPLACED!!!  Roto Rooter's guys never went into the crawl space, and if I had taken their professional opinion, they would've charged me for a replacement that was unnecessary!

After coming out of the crawlspace, AJ snaked the drain, and in 20 minutes, it was cleared. His invoice to me was LESS than Roto Rooter, and my problem was fixed!

As long as he will have me as a client, AJ will be my one and only plumber!

What an unfortunate choice. On the first call they wanted a 105.00 trip charge to Fernley even though I told them one of their techs lives around the corner from me. A manager came on the line and agreed if I scheduled a first in the am appt that we could waive the trip charge. I scheduled the day they chose. Friday between 8 and 10. My wife had to rearrange her day to make that work but that was ok.
At 830 friday am l got a call that said there was a scheduling problem and we would need to re schedule.
Again i spoke to a manager and he got someone out there with out a trip charge and said he would discount the labor to 75.00.
Tech arrived at 932am.
They knew they were installing a neuvo water filter and he didn't have the right stuff to install it. He had to go shopping at lowes.
The filter was already hung and the pipes routed through the wall.
The tech did a good job of installing the filter.
My wife called me and told me he was done. Time stamp was 1136am. 2hrs and 4 minutes. This should have been a 1 hr job.
I paid for his shopping trip. He charged us 2.5 hrs at 85.00 per hr and almost 150.00 for 40.00 of copper pipe.
I called the manager again to complain. He assured me he would research the issue. It has been a week and no call back.
Buyer be ware.

I'm very glad that I went with Savage and Sons to install a new water heater and to fix a few leaks in my home.  The reason I went with them was a direct result of a conversation I had with Kathleen when I called with questions.

She was friendly, and when I listed my issues and that I might need a new fixture for my tub, she said that I  may only need a cartridge. I thought, now this is a company that I want to do business with.

Keith fixed my leaks, and installed my water heater. He was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. It's such a nice feeling to trust your plumber!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this company!  So fast and helpful in the case of an emergency.  Zach came right over when my basement was flooding and helped to get the water turned off, the pipe repaired and he even worked with my insurance agent to help get my claim questions answered.  THANKS very  much, I can't wait to refer your business to others!!

John of Bertani can out to our home on a Saturday afternoon to provide us with expert advice on what should be done to correct an isssue with a shower stall that was leaking.  He was very clear as to how the problem would be correct and shared many tips as to how it could be done in an economical way and still maintaining a high level of quality. Unfortunately I think something happened to David. I am devastated. The phone isn't working and website is down. David is WONDERFUL. Hired him to move plumbing in our bathroom. Did a fantastic job at a great price point. He's knowledgeable and takes his time to educate. He knows which things we should save $ on and which things we have to buy the top of the line.

Jonny is an AMAZING plumber and all around handyman!  He is very polite, professional and a hard worker.  I called him with a plumbing issue, he immediately called me back.  Within a few hours, he was at my home, properly diagnosed my plumbing issue and was ordering parts to get it fixed.  

The other reviews are NOT Jonny.  In fact, after reading the reviews I think the people are confusing Jonny's Root-O-Matic with another company.  

Do yourself a favor and call Root-O-Matic with your plumbing issues.  I have also had him perform other work around my home - he is a true handyman!  You won't be sorry!
