Best Drain Cleaning in Pittsburgh PA
We had an issue with our water pressure regulator which caused our water to shut off. We searched for plumbers in our area and found Brett. He was able to come out within 30 minutes which were so grateful. He promptly fixed our issue and the charge was reasonable. Awesome, right?
Well, here is where things take a turn. Because we were so happy with his service, we asked if he could install a new shower faucet. He explained what was involved which was more work than we thought because he had to create an entry panel and shut off valves in addition to replacing the faucet. We called to schedule this and someone answered and said he would call back. After a few days, he didn't return the call so we called again. He asked us to take a picture of the model and serial number of the new faucet we bought so he could find an equivalent with his supplier. We provided him with that information immediately. We never heard back from Brett. It's been a couple of weeks now. I don't know if the job was too involved or he didn't want to do it, but if that's the case he could have said so. I was all ready to provide a great review because this helps other people make decisions. Unfortunately, the best I could do was a three stars.

Update: Mr. Miller took the time to call me and I was so surprised since no business has ever done that. I am very appreciative of that and it totally took away my frustration of my experience he was very nice and said he would refund me, I don't want refunded I just wanted a job done and not to be thought less than. He took the time to talk and explain and not make me feel taken advantage of, thank you.
Please be warned about hiring plumbers in the New Castle PA area, they are crooks. After having to pick one of these crooks (Ron Miller plumbing) I thought I picked someone honest. The quote was $160 an hour and then you pay by the half. The job was to snake the hole by the wash machine, he wasn't down there more that 5 minutes before he said it couldn't be done, I really didn't hear the machine. He was only on the job for 30 minutes and most of that time was spent going up and down the stairs and in an out the house for what I didn't know, he said he had to snake the main drain but that was impossible the floor was completely dry. And then the pitch came, they conveniently can't do the small job so the can force you into a way bigger more expensive job. What he didn't know was that my husband usual do this because we live in a wooded area and we have to keep our lines clear but because my husband couldn't get off work I wanted to do something nice for him and have it done. Not only did I have to pay the $160 for him doing nothing but he constantly kept trying to up sell me and I had to keep telling him to just leave my house. Sorry for the length of this but that's what these plumbers are doing, over charging then forcing other jobs on you that you didn't ask for. Please do your research and be adamant about what

Normally I don't write reviews, but I saw that Bob's rating on yelp was not representative of his work. He just left here after replacing a bunch of pipes in my basement. We are having a large electrical box installed. All the pipes in the area needed moved. Bob did a great job of doing the work and explaining what he was doing. I would recommend him without issue.

I was not at the home during the service -- but this makes my review even more important to me. I learned about it all from my Aunt who was super impressed with Todd from First Call Plumbing. The sewer backed up to the point where we could not use our appliances and were apprehensive to flush the toilet. My Aunt's regular plumber was on vacation so we had to find someone new. My Aunt was very skeptical about using someone new, but the smell was unbearable and she had no choice. Calling Todd same day, he was helpful, polite and ensured he fit us in, and on a Saturday, too. In addition to solving the problem, he assisted in clean up. He also did a review of other areas of the home. Pricing was generous -- they only charge OT on a Sunday! Thanks for a great experience, Todd!

They just replaced our water heater today. Good communication, stuck to their price, and were incredibly professional. They also unclogged a drain and replaced a valve, all within an hour.

These guys were fantastic. Very friendly, professional. We had a plumbing emergency, they responded very quickly to the call. Came out the next day and fixed the issue. The price was great, and the job was done really well.

The service here is impeccable. Not only is the service fast and efficient but the friendliness is what sets this business in a class of its own. Their response time was fast after leaving a message on their voice mail, which I would recommend over filling out an online form. Nothing beats picking up the phone. Matt's response from my call was quick, and diverted a service as promised. I will never refer any other plumber to anyone other than Brown's Plumbing. You won't regret it!

Mr Shelton and his daughter Sarah went out of their way to help me prepare for a home inspection! They could not have been more kind or flexible! Their contractors were the nicest, most polite people. I will always call them in the future!! Highly Highly recommend.

Naturally it was a Saturday morning when our upstairs toilet (one of only 2 in the house) clogged with a vengeance! No amount of plunging was helping. Plumbing problems are a sensitive issue at my house as we recently spent $20K on having a lining put in on the very long sewer pipe which goes from our house out to the municipal sewer. The clog was only on the upper floor as all on the main and basement floors was flowing smoothly. We had a different plumber out, paid $350 dollars for the call - all they could do was dirty up the bathroom and shrug their shoulders for 3 hours. Called Bales Plumbing on Monday morning. Michael came out early afternoon. We described the issue to him. He explored all avenues, upstairs, downstairs, all pipes. Within 30 minutes he discovered the source of the problem, resolved the clog and got everything moving again. Very impressed with this diligence, effectiveness and knowledge. He provided sensible tips for making sure we don't have this problem again. Fingers crossed! But if we do, I know exactly who I am going to call! Thank you Bales Plumbing!

Gerard plumbing review for yelp
The plumber that came out to the house was absolutely great. He did a great job, was personable & respectful. The wait time to get someone in to do it was a lot less than other plumbers for a non emergency service. The guy I spoke to on the phone over the weekend was also great. However, they quoted me one price over the phone over the weekend, when someone called on Monday to schedule the service she said oh, he gave you a nice discount for that then when the plumber came onsite he charged my mother $100 more than the highest end of the quote. Originally, I asked to install a valve & a dishwasher. Turns out the valve was already there, but it did end up needing replaced. So they charged $100 more for less than 2 hours of work and a easier job that originally quoted. They also took down part of my basement ceiling to see how the dishwasher was draining, that I now have to replace, so it is going to cost even more money to repair that now as well.

I called Bill Brown with a blocked outside drain problem at my sons rental and he said he would be there at noon and that is the exact time he came. The price was less than any other places I have called and the drain was unblocked in a timely fashion so no extra fees were charged! He explained the problem when he was done and my son and I were very pleased! I will never call anyone else. I will use him for my home and all my rentals! I have had similar problems at other rentals and they charged me twice as much as he did and were there half the time!

charged us to come out for a dye test which they couldnt complete due to inadequate equipment (camera was too big for sewage pipe) while also unnecessarily tearing a garden downspout to see where it leads out (clearly into a planter)
I heavily recommend not using this company if you have an old house.

I would give these people a 0 if possible. definitely scam workers. They were assigned via AHS my warranty company because my drains needed snaked. charged me $500 to remove my toilet and allegedly cleared the issue. That night I had even more dirt and debris coming up from my tub drain. I reached out and was advised they can't guarantee that snaking the drain will be effective and said they would come back and try again for $500. Be Aware. Terrible and unethical company. They left my
home after less than an hour of work. I had a different service provider come in and spend a few hours making sure the issue was cleared for a fraction of the cost and haven't had an issue since. The reviews are true. These people are awful.

We've used Bigley Plumbing for over twenty years for both big (HUUUGE) and small projects. They are Registered Master Plumbers, so you get what you pay for (and worth it). Today they came and fixed a leaky toilet after I called yesterday. They had it all done in about an hour . . . Cheers!

BEWARE!! I was desparate when I had sewage backup and I called Mr. Rooter. They charged me $4,000 to start the repair. Thankfully, I only gave them half of that on day one of the job. The following day, I had a friend that warned me about Mr. Rooter, so I called 2 more companies that confirmed I WAY OVERPAID! So I cancelled Mr. Rooter and prevented them from finishing their work. I only paid $200 to finish what I would have paid $2000 to Mr. Rooter. I was ripped off, but thankfully, only half of the total damage.
