We were very happy with the project Ixtapa Construction completed at our home.  After interviewing and getting quotes from several general contractors, they provided a comprehensive detailed quote for the work at a fair price.  What sealed the deal for us in selecting them was meeting Jay and Alex, the principals of the company, and the input they provided for our project.  They provided many great ideas we had not considered and we are very happy with the results.

They were meticulous and all the workers on our project were professional and courteous. The scope of work included essentially a full interior remodel including converting a den into a bedroom and also painting/some repairs of the exterior.  There were no surprises in regards to costs at the end of the project and costs associated with changes as work progressed were clearly communicated to us.

We will definitely contact Ixtapa Construction for any future projects!

Kristopher is very organized and makes the process easy. He was very prompt to answer my questions and provide an estimate range online and a free in-person accurate estimate.

It is hard to trust contractors you find online, but we got lucky to find him. His prices are reasonable and will help you find the most affordable solution.

We had a bunch of little problems that were causing a huge headache (water hammer, issues with our hot water coming out of our cold line and through the water sprinklers and a water heater that was out of code). I had originally called out another plumber to see if he could fix/diagnose the problems and he could not. I had a water heater specialist come out to fix the hot water issue and he could not fix it. I finally found Fitzgerald Plumbing and gave Patrick a shot. I liked that he was local and the other reviews were promising.

Patrick came out on a Monday and patiently listened to me as I gave him the history of problems. He came up with a plan to fix each issue and made an appointment for later in the same week. He also identified a pipe that had corroded and was about to fail.

When Patrick showed up, he explained how he was going to fix each problem and gave me a price for the job. Then he got right to work and by the end of the day the water hammer was gone, the hot water was working normally, my water heater issue was fixed and he had replaced the rotted pipe. Patrick was professional, polite and took the time to explain each issue to me in terms I could understand. He cleaned the areas up where he had been working and made sure all my questions were answered before he left. His rates were reasonable and he warrantied all the work he performed.

I can't over sell how impressed I was with this company. Finding a good plumber is like finding a good car mechanic and Fitzgerald Plumbing was a great, local find for anyone in the Long Beach/Lakewood area! I will be using this company for any future plumbing needs and I will be recommending them to my friends and family.

I had a late night leak and put out a request for help via Yelp. Luis M. answered immediately and was super helpful with providing us help to be able to fix the leak. Definitely will call him in the future for any other plumbing needs.

Lost my water heater on Friday of Memorial Day Weekend. No fun! David showed about an hour after I called. Friendly and got right to it. My old water heater was done - 17 years old - and the water lines were ready to break. Gave me a fair quote and agreed to get the job done that day even though it was 5PM! By 8:30PM I had hot water.

David cleaned everything up and the bill was settled up with no surprises.

I had a leak under the kitchen sink and Steven was able to fix the problem within hours. He was very professional and was very conscious of the COVID19 issues. He was wearing a mask, gloves and booties. He even placed the towels/rags used directly in the washer without touching anything else.

Robert responded to my call within 1/2 hour. Had a three valve moen shower that needed replacement. Robert had to order parts but parts were local so he was able to come the next day. Robert replaced with a new single component. Took about three hours to complete. Very professional and I would highly recommend.

Friday, March 2nd, 2018 at 4:40 pm we realized that our water main located in the alley behind our home had water gushing out at a very rapid rate.  We called the water department, they came out within 15minutes and told us they were shutting the water off to figure out what the problem was.  They said it was a coin toss... maybe the problem was something the city was responsible for... or, if the break was on our property, it was our problem.  After a short while the city worker let us know our pipe had a break just before the city connection.  So, we were responsible.  We were overwhelmed quickly as it was friday night and it was a rare night when it was cold and raining.  What plumber would possibly want to come out under these circumstances???
We called a couple of places and left message and then called Daniel's Plumbing.  An actual person answered the phone... yep, even after hours! We were told they would send out someone within the next 15 minutes to assess our issue and give us an idea of the work required.
Fifteen minutes later Daniel Jr. came out and assessed the situation.  We live in an almost 100 year old house with much of the original plumbing lines in place.  Daniel let us know that we had several options.  Option 1 being to just dig up the broken elbow connection, find the break, make the repair and turn the water on.  Option 2 would be to dig up and replace the ENTIRE water line.  We agreed to go with Option 1 and set up for work to begin the following day, Saturday morning.
At dinner we talked about Option 2. For a while we've seen signs of possible leaks such as high water bill, sloping in the back yard, poor quality of water because of lead in the water... so, we decided to make the investment and go with Option 2. We called Daniel's and let him know and they began the next morning, promptly at 8am.
The entire crew arrived on time, and got after it! Before we knew it they had dug the trench, and found they needed to get under our cement.  So, they gingerly cut the cement in a manner that it could be placed back almost seamlessly.
Somewhere around 6pm that afternoon the water was back on, the backyard was cleaned up, and this whole nightmare was behind us.
Our water pressure in the house is AMAZING now! The quality of the water is much better, and I'm looking forward to seeing the savings in next months water bill!
My dad used to tell me that I'd know who my friends were when I was in trouble and not everyone was ready to help... My dad would say that the friends that showed up to help were my true friends.  This lesson came to mind that cold rainy Friday night. Daniel's plumbing was there, ready and willing to help, and we won't forget it.  Their willingness to help, and professionalism speaks volumes of their character.
