There was a leak in my house and I had no idea where the source was. David G. came to my house and was able to detect it immediately. He is responsive, reliable and honest. Thank you David, and thank you Prodigy Plumbing.

MC Construction did a great job of replacing my old roof with a new energy efficient plywood & tile.  They added a few more vents and also replaced some weathered fascia boards. I want to thank Josh K. for being flexible & working with me to stay in my budget!  I would hire them again!  Possible new bathrooms in the future!

MVP sent Erik Tejada out to look at my garbage disposal which was backed up. He was able to fix it and give recommendations for future improvements . MVP was really responsive. They responded to my online request in minutes and then Erik was at my house like 2 hours later.
He was also able to fix a clog in my bathroom tub and troubleshoot an issue with my toilet which I'll be having my landlord fixes. Erik and MVP are my new go to for my future plumbing needs. I would highly recommend them to others.

I can across service champions when another heating company royally messed up my top tier (very expensive) heating unit. They were diligent in finding what was wrong and fixing it.
I signed up for their maintainable program and was a bit hesitant about it thinking there may me more future sales involved in it. However, I just had my winter maintenance with Michael. What a cutie!
But all that aside he was very professional, polite, explained everything to me, showed me pictures and explained what he was doing.
Every person that has come from service champions has always been very professional.
I like that their honest and do at top notch job.
I would recommend them to anyone.

Bob was amazing, he came out within a few hours, he went above and beyond to help me. He walked through the whole house to make sure I didn't have any leaks. I appreciated his knowledge about my water heater and pressure to the house. Her was very efficent with proposal and contacting me in case I had questions. Wonderful service!

Mike at Capistrano Plumbing is awesome! We were having problems with several bathrooms and he fixed them simply and thoroughly. He didn't do unnecessary  tests or do the whole-thing-needs-to-be-replaced routine, though he could have, for sure. He is Fair, honest, thorough and efficient. We will definitely use him again! You need a good plumber? He's definitely your guy!

A pipe sprung a leak under my kitchen sink rendering it unusable.  I contacted several people via Yelp and Matt responded very quickly.  He was able to come early the next morning before I went to work, finished the repair in an hour and it was much less$$ than I thought I would have to pay.  I appreciate his quick response and professionalism.    Hopefully I will not have to use him again (fingers crossed there are no more plumbing issues at my house) but if I need someone, he will be my first phone call.  Thanks, Matt!

Steve and crew from Pipe Bros did an excellent job re-lining our sewer pipe.  Root intrusion through joints of our clay sewer pipe plagued our house for years.  Snaking and chemicals worked somewhat, but the frequency of clogs became intolerable.  

We took repair estimates from two plumbing companies.  The first did a camera inspection and concluded a pipe burst method was absolutely required with extensive driveway demolition.  Steve gave me a 5% lower estimate for the same job description.  

Steve and crew showed up on time.  He was prepared for the pipe burst operation, but his camera inspection pointed to a less intrusive solution -- re-lining the interior of the pipe and reconstruction of the access port.  Steve and crew ran into no problems, and were finished within 6 hours.  (The other company had quoted this as a 3-day job.)   Steve showed me camera inspections of the finished work, with a now seamless path to the city main. The work area was left clean.  They even saved and re-planted an ornamental tree that had to be dug up.  Actual price with within the range quoted on their original estimate.

This is the second time I use them since last time I had a leaking, Tim came the next day and found the problem and fixed it in a very short time.  He is very knowledgeable and nice to work with!  Now I have another leak in another property and Tim came the next day.  He spent an hour and came back again today with the owner John.  They tried and finally told us to call restoration since we have a bigger problem that they could not handle.  They are nice, honest and good plumbers to work with!

I have a first time home buyer and had a great experience working with Dave.  He is extremely knowledgeable and professional.  Dave took the time to educate me on projects I was interested in - even those that may not involve him.  I would not hesitate to call Smart & Handy again.  

Dave recently repainted and installed new flooring in my town home.  He completed the project on time and on budget, and provided me updates via texts and pictures along the way. Dave even took the time to meet me at the flooring store and helped me select the flooring that would suit my tastes and function best in my home.  

Additionally, Dave provided a lot of pointers for me on how to make the home suitable for my elderly parents.  He is extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful about the options available to make my home as safe as possible for a person with a disability but was also very conscious of my limited budget.

Lastly, I'd like to say that in attempting my first remodel, I am very weary of dishonest or careless contractors. In working with Dave I never felt this way.  He was never pushy, always polite, and incredibly easy to work with.  I look forward to working with Dave again in the near future.

Frank is so awesome! He provided a quote via Yelp request (very reasonable compared to some of the other quotes), and made an appointment for the next day. I really appreciate the transparency, and none of the I can't tell you a quote until we send someone over.

He was also super responsive and flexible because I got stuck at work so had to have him come later in the afternoon. He was able to clear the bathtub drain in less than 10 mins, and was super pleasant. Definitely will call him for any future plumbing issues, and also loved supporting small businesses! Highly recommend!

Fernando is brilliant!!! Great attitude, warm personality, professional knowledge of systems, and incredibly polite to the home he is working on. We are having and have completed a few projects ranging from tankless water heater to faucet changes and a modern water filtration reverse osmosis system. He's wonderful, and a treasure to our community!

5 stars for this guy! Philip answered the phone quick, and was able to show up to my house quick ! Super nice guy, clean, efficient, and did the job in a timely manner. To top it off he even cleaned up after himself and made sure he didn't leave a mess! The price wasn't too bad either. Overall I would recommend him to anyone

Gotta say..... this company is the best!  My Hubby and I are essential workers with limited free time.  Jason was on time and super reliable.  He is very easy to work with and just a genuine person.  If we ever need a plumber again we will for sure be contacting him.  We found him by a recommendation and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.  So glad we got to use this amazing company.  Give him all the business.

The quick and fast, Ixtapa Construction is the best general contracting company I've had the pleasure to work with (I've worked with 3-4 over the last decade). I completely gutted a 4 bedroom, 2..5 bath, 2100 sq. ft. home we just purchased and Jay did it while handling timing pressure from my then 7-month-pregnant wife who was hesitant to even make the purchase, knowing the work it needed.

As the founder/President, Jay is a consummate professional (a rarity in this business), and a true craftsman. His Partner, Alex is also great to work with and keeps things organized and coordinated with all the moving pieces of a construction project. Most important to me is that Jay and his team takes pride and ownership in their work. Jay treated our construction project as if it was his own home. He takes the time to make sure things are done right, the first time. Moving forward, I'll always reach out to Jay first about my remodeling and home improvement needs before going out and interviewing/reviewing other contractors. Through my remodel, I'm fortunate enough to connect with someone who I've gotten to know and trust as my advisor for home remodeling and repair-related needs.

The longer version: We closed on our home in January of this year (2019). We knew we were going to completely gut and remodel the home. We didn't change the exterior (no additions) but all things interior of the home were to be redone. From all new water pipes to new electrical, new HVAC system, new 2.5 bathrooms and a new kitchen from the ground up including new flooring throughout.

This is our 2nd remodel of homes we are to live in, so it wasn't a completely new venture for us. The first remodel, I worked directly with a few tradesmen and oversaw/project managed the job myself. But this time around, with a newborn on the way and a 3 year old, I didn't have the time so we had to find a good GC that was fair, reasonable and accountable to work with. In total, we met about a dozen General Contractors (local via Yelp, Craigslist, HomeAdvisors, Houzz, you name it).

I first spoke with Alex by phone and then met with Jay at the house. Needless to say, he was on-time and professional. When we were ready to make a decision, we narrowed it down to Ixtapa and another construction company. I regretfully admit, we went with the other company first. The reason was that the initial bid was missing a few elements. I wish I had just went back and asked him to revise before making a decision. Truthfully, in my conversations with Jay, I had a good feeling. But we all make mistakes... The other company turned out to be a massive disaster (if you want more info, please reach out to me).

My initial timeline was the beginning of March for the home to be move-in ready. We started work on January 6th. By February 6th the house was all gutted, but nothing was being put back together. We started to get concerned as we were about 22 days out from when the house needed to be move-in ready. I got the typical contractor runaround and because I needed to be swift, I terminated the agreement. I had very low tolerance for a bad situation to get worse.

But since our initial meeting last December (2018) Jay stayed in touch with me and he actually followed with me to see how things were going.
I reached back out to Jay (at this point, under immense timing pressure) to see if he can help. He was able to get me on the calendar and get started in a week.
Ever since then, the house came together. And while I made changes to things and added things, he was very accommodating and did what he could to help us out.

Again, incredibly grateful to have met Jay and work with Ixtapa Construction. No job is too small for them, he's an honest craftsman that has a construction-framing background (so he can build a house from scratch if needed!) If he can't do something, he'll tell you. But overall, I'm incredibly happy with his service, professionalism and is the type of person you feel comfortable having around your family (which is also very important). And his team of craftsmen are great to work with too.

His pricing is fair, but through my own experience, you get what you pay for in this industry. Often times, you get low bids so they can come in and start the work, only to not finish or worse, cause damages. Talk to Alex/Jay, they'll work with you.

We had a few plumbing issues, kitchen sink and shower water handle. Chris and his guy responded quickly, were very prompt, provided a reasonable estimate, got the job done and did a good job cleaning up.  I would not hesitate to use them again and you shouldn't either. Customer service was great! Price was fair! Good job guys!
