My kitchen faucet began to leak.  Luis from Crown Plumbing correctlly diagnosed the problem, told me I needed to obtain a part from the manufacturer, and then returned to complete the job after I received the part.  He was on time and worked quickly each visit.  I have used Crown several times before and they were always competent and cost-effective.

This review is for pricing/interaction ONLY. No work was performed by Crown Plumbing. Thankfully, or I would be really broke right now.

I appreciated that Freddy showed up quickly, was well spoken and very knowledge. However, I was VERY disappointed to be told I needed a new $2200 clean-out installed, in addition to a costly dig out of my sewer main under the house. I couldn't even get final pricing until AFTER they started unnecessarily digging stuff up. Their reason for wanting to dig the rest of the MAIN? So we can be sure it is not leaking anywhere else because the problem could be anywhere on your main, and it could really ruin all the soil around it. How's that for a scare tactic?

Whats even sadder is that their opinion came AFTER going under the house and seeing the issue first hand: Above-ground secondary/kitchen sewer line (2 black pvc) was visibly split in half. Alternate quotes from no-bs plumbers were $375, and $495, and I got it resolved in half an our, with 1 year warranty.

My advice: never commit until you have several quotes. Especially if it looks like it's an emergency or if you're working with realtors. Seems that plumbers these days want to know if realtors/property inspections are involved. Whats next? they're gonna want a commission on your sale?? lol

Again, very disappointed by the complicated and overpriced solution proposed by Crown Plumbing. They certainly could have done better, with more respect for their brand and for whoever owns the company.

Had Manny Chavez come over and he took care of my washer drain pipe and fixed the issue perfectly. He even stayed after to test the washer and ensure everything was good. I highly recommend Manny & Crown Plumbing to anyone who needs an efficient, reliable, affordable service.

Hope others had a better experience.
We couldn't get the pilot light on following instructions. So Crown came out and tried starting the pilot for 5 seconds NOT following the directions and then told us we needed a new heater for about $3500.
It cost us $227 just to look at it and tell us that.
I then called ANOTHER plumber who knows Whirlpool heaters (A). He came and looked at it and just hit a simple reset both I and Crown overlooked. He didn't even ask for money, but we paid him anyway.

Just used Crown to replace toilet  .

Crown gave me solid quote & Total Info over the Phone.

Their guy, Sal,  came on Time, installed a new top end Kohler... And used waterproof bags  to haul away old toilet , etc.

-- His installation of new toilet was perfect,  He also showed me the interior of the tank & explained how it worked.

He then cleaned up the floor , completely.

He had the hand held credit card  thing  & we paid the quoted amount.

We will use Crown on all our future plumbing needs  ( Their site shows the many other services they can do !

We had an issue with a badly leaking tub/shower unit. The person Crown sent over was very professional and personable. However, he barely looked to see what the problem was before providing an estimate. He wiggled the pipe coming out to the tub spigot. He made no effort to look into the wall. He assumed that I was helpless and had no ability to judge/assess the issue myself. He then asserted that the whole unit (valve, spigot, handle and all) needed to be replaced and re-plumbed. And on top of that the estimate was ~ $2400. I had another plumber come in the next day and fixed and found the real issue for a couple of hundred dollars. Will not call them again. If you do decide to use this company, get a 2nd or even 3rd opinion.

We used Crown Plumbing to re-do our main sewer line a while back and to install a water softener more recently. The company does solid work and their service is really good. We only had good experiences with the people they sent to do the jobs. We definitely recommend.

It's been impossible for me to find a plumber I could afford and trust.  Two very important things for me when deciding who to let into my home and my business.  Crown Plumbing was referred to me by a friend of mine also in the restaurant business.  I've called them for door repairs, leaking toilets, clogged toilets, calcium buildup, and full toilet replacements.

I appreciate every aspect of their business from start to finish.  The service calls are  seamless, the plumbers are knowledgeable, safe and friendly, and the payments/invoices are effortless.  You'll get a text when they are on their way and after the work is done, you get a text message explaining everything in detail; parts, labor, and services completed.  AND-the price is always less than the number I've worked out in my head.  When have you ever hired someone and the price is less than what you thought?  I've used their service more than 5 times now and I will never go back to their competitors.

I posted my review on another site. They moved their office. Same company. We live in. House that was built in 1954, The house's foundation is a cement slab. Embedded in the slab is the still working radiant heating. I knew the sewer lines were old. A number of neighbors had already replaced their sewer lines. Every time I used the washing machine an odor came up from the drain  in both bath rooms shower and tub drains. I contacted our regular plumber and he stated it was a big job and recommended Crown Plumbing. After testing was done. Bad news was all our under the slab sewer lines had to be replaced. Two methods. First method doesn't relocate the sewer lines, it replaces them. But to access the lines in this method would have to Jack Hammer in the Kitchen, laundry room ( between both bath rooms ) and large areas in the bath rooms. The radiant heat pipes in this method would more than likely be cut, ( even with locating all of them). Second method would be to relocate the pipes from under the slab. No inside the kitchen Jack Hammering. Still would have yo Jack hammer laundry area areas through both toilets. Checked out the methods and our good friend who builds homes from the ground up highly recommended the second option. Crown Plumbing strongly recommended the second method. This method is less messy in the inside. But if need will have easier axcess to the sewer lines. They did a great job. It was s huge job. We moved into a hotel from 5/30' until 6/24. With all major work there is going to be a little cosmetic
Work that needs follow up, Nothing to do with the plumbing. The tile person didn't add a transition from the bathroom yo the hall. Crown plumbing is correcting the tile persons error. The owner of Crown Plumbing is a wonderful person. He is 100% responsive to any issue. Little issues that came up ( all cosmetic ) he is taking care of.   Abram is one of the best owners of a Company I have ever dealt with. All the Plumbers were knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend Crown Plumbing. See picture  of the house. When the trenches were first dug. All trenches were repaired. I didn't take a picture of the side of the yard or the work fond inside

Excellent company. Very happy with repipe they did on our house. Work crew was very capable and professional. Job lasted exactly as long as they said it would. Price was very good.

Customer service is exceptional. Communication is fantastic. I guess I can't say enough good things about this plumbing company :) They earned the praise.

Responsive and clear about what needed to be done and pricing.  On time and did clean work.

Needed the garbage disposal replaced. Called Crown Friday afternoon around 1pm. They were able to get me a same day appointment with Louis. The garbage disposal replacement went fine and Louis was fast and efficient. He came around 3pm and was done by around 4pm. I recommend Crown and I'll be using them again.

They were able to come fix my clogged kitchen sink on short notice. They gave me a two hour window for arrival and they were on time. Luis was courteous and handled the job quickly and efficiently.

If I could give Abram and his company more stars I would! I had a gas leak of all the things in my new place I got and dealing with mt home warranty and PG&E, Crown Plumbing helped me so much and quickly. I was supported in dealing with this process with my home warranty and steps needed by them to potentially cover this. Abram was kind, patient and responsive. His company got the work done fast thankfully since I couldn't stay at my home. His team of guys led by Moises were super friendly, communicative and fast but thorough. They did a lot of work in a short time, and the install was clean and looks really nice. They took care of my water heater while at, without long waits to get a new one to install and brought things up to code. They offered not only great quality work and quick, but took care of me during a stressful time. Thank you Crown Plumbing for getting me back in my home!

Crown had the best reviews so we called them to come unclog our toilet. For $375 each sink (2) I choose to check around & was so glad I came across a very reasonable place. I would not call them again, couldn't even do it that day to fix our sink as advertised. Hubby & My opinion only.

I don't want to give two stars because the guy who showed up, Manny, was very nice and professional. We suspected there might be a leak in the bathroom and Manny took a look and told us there's not which was a great news. What I'm not happy with was the office didn't mention clearly that  there's a $227 fee upfront. I guess I would still go with them but it would be nice to know upfront.

The owner gave me a call and we agreed it was a misunderstanding. I got refunded. Will consider another try in the future for plumbing issues.

I had a water leak in a copper pipe under the house, the location very difficult to access. My original call was late on the afternoon and Manny, Crown plumber, showed up before 10 the next morning. Assessed the leak, proposed the repair and did the repair within an hour and a half. The bill was a bit higher than I anticipated and I talked to the office. The owner listened to my concern and did make a change in the cost after hearing what part of the repair I had done. Highly recommend Crown.

Great experience with Crown Plumbing. I had a broken hose spigot (wouldn't shut off) and I also couldn't shut off my water main. I called Crown and they sent out Luis Perez that afternoon. Luis texted me to let me know that he was on his way and he showed up in the time window. He was friendly and professional. He fixed the problems and also showed me a tip so my water main valve wouldn't freeze up again. Fees were reasonable and my problem was fixed. Thank you Luis! When I have another plumbing issue (and I know I will some day), I'll call Crown again.

Our plumber and one of his plumbing contractors (Giovanni)  tried ran a snake from the back of my house to the main sewer line (from my sewer to the street is 135 ft). After spending ours in trying to clear the line, our plumber Giovanni called Crown Plumbing to do a 2 hour Hydro flush. The initial hydro flush yielded poor results. They took out their own automated snake and went about 125 ft. And, they stuck their own camera down the drain. Still tough going. I paid for an additional 2 hours of hydro flush this time with hot water. During the next hour and 15 minutes, Moises Contreras of Crown Plumbing and Luis continued  flushing a lot of water down my drain, a lot of oil and other raw sewage backed up from my newly constructed clean out and filled my back yard.  I asked Moises is the clog cleared up? He replied that the clog is broken but not yet cleared. Looking frustrated his said let's go out to the street. Our sewer line runs across my neighbor's property on the side of our respective house. Moises and his associate then opened up the 2 manholes where my sewer line was in between these 2 manholes. He told me something is wrong because he didn't see any water down the primary sewer line. He then took our his camera and conducted a visual inspection of the sewer line. Moises concluded that there wasn't a tap or a connection  between my sewer line and the City's primary line. This is the reason why my sewer was backing up into my 3 bathroom, shower/tub/toilets. Moises suggested contacted the City of San Jose and asking them for a visual inspection to confirm or disaffirm his findings.

Armed with this information, I started a 2 week dialogue with the City of San Jose which resulted in the City of San Jose agreeing to a visual inspection and eventually concluding that my line simply wasn't connected with the City's primary line. This error occurred when the City replaced the primary line during the late spring, 2022.

Ultimately, fixing my sewer was a result of Moises and Crown Plumbing ascertaining the real problem and their dedication to provide a best in class service. I wholeheartedly endorse Crown Plumbing for your plumping needs.

Updated - (changed to 3 star) - Got a call from owner who apologized and explained this is not usual and returned visit fee. Also offered to send some other technician and give discount if we wanted to continue work.
Original - Very expensive, unfriendly. We called them for leak under the kitchen sink. He was prompt but not helpful at all. Even found him arrogant to talk. Even though, we had planned to fix couple of things he mentioned, we just did not feel comfortable for him to do our work. I have feeling they like to do big jobs and not small home repairs. It would be good if they just said that.

My Repipe quote for 4 bed, 2 full bath, 2000 sq ft home was a whooping $20,000. That was 8,000 above Repipe Specialist and Advanced Repipe Specialist (both $12,000). I called to discuss the quote and offer an opportunity to adjust the quote but the service rep said it's not worth our time. James Arguelles 5853 Cohasset Way, San Jose CA 95123. Be very careful as it's clear they are price gauging in tough economy. Good luck against competitors at those rates.

1.18.21 Update - Owner called me after the post and offered an apology for the poor experience. I accepted his apology. He explained his reasons they are $8000 more than the quotes from Repipe Specialist and Advanced Repipe Specialist. The cost per hour for his workers is more than competitors and his tools are better. That said the reality is from a customer standpoint the two competitor companies have good reviews and quoted the same job. I have since selected Repipe Specialist who outsource to a local outfit and the experience has been good.

In my opinon it will be hard for diligent customers to agree to pay a cost nearly 2x for the same work due to a business model with higher overhead.

The silver lining here is the owner did call me back and explained his reasons. I will let the Yelp customers agree or disagree if they want to pay the additional cost passed on by the owner. I opted out. Honesty does count for something and I wish the owner and his company good luck.

Ok yesterday  I was working  in the garden and I pulled on the hose broke  the pipe and water stared pouring  all over. Right away I knew this was bad any way I looked on yelp and found  Crown plumbing.  Saw alot of good reviews   I called they said we can be out with in an hour. Ok not only  they showed  in a half hour  which was outstanding. Manny was very professional and had the repair done with in an hour. If I have another plumbing problem  I know  who to call. Thanks Luis Perez from Crown Plumbing for coming out late night to fix a leaky pipe in my front yard. The leak was so significant if not fixed my family and I would have not been able to shower and clean dishes until it was addressed lol. Appreciate the help!

We had a leak inside a wall of our property.  Found Crown Plumbing on Yelp and called them up. Receptionist was very friendly and upfront about pricing. Pablo arrived a few hours later. Pablo was well dressed and his work was very clean. Van was very clean too. Pablo was very friendly as well. I would highly recommend them!

Great experience with Crown Plumbing! I found them on Yelp, called on Saturday to have someone come out for a slow draining bathroom sink. The earliest they could schedule an appointment was for Monday between noon and 2pm. I received text messages confirming the appointment, who the plumber would be (Manny), and updates on when he would be arriving.  
Manny showed up Monday a little after 1pm. He was very professional, friendly, and courteous. He did a great job, was very quick and thorough.
My sink is fixed and I'm happy!  Highly recommend!

been using crown for years. had a plumbing issue today and they were here in within two hours and fixed the problem.

My experience with Crown Plumbing was great! I had issues with my toilet valve, and the actual piping to the toilet as well. I called their phone number, and immediately spoke to a friendly, professional-sounding person. Within a few hours, they sent someone out to take a look, and give an estimate. The price was very reasonable, and after about 30 minutes, everything was fixed and working again. It's been weeks since the work has been done, and I have no issues. -I'm happy, and would definitely recommend them.

BEWARE!!!  We had a very disturbing experience with this contractor.  After an outdoor electrical fire destroyed our tankless water heater, and with only a week until we were hosting Thanksgiving, this place was recommended to us.  The quote was THREE TIMES what we paid to have the water heater installed two years ago!  We expected the quote to be a little more than we previously paid, given most things are more expensive post-Covid as well as the rush nature of the job, but THREE TIMES the cost is absolutely ridiculous!  Definitely tried to take advantage of us when we were in an awful situation.  This contractor can't be trusted.

Great service.  Came exactly when they said they would come.  The guy who came was very friendly and professional.  Our leak was a simple fix and he had it done quickly.  We appreciate the service.

Good customer service over the phone. Estimate/inspection was done the next mid morning (I called after 4pm the day before). Shane (the person that came out to look at the issue(s) was professional. He listened to my concerns, evaluated the situation and I did not feel any kind of pressure for him or the company to complete any kind of work. He was honest and upfront. He was able to give me the quote within minutes. Upon deciding to proceed, he immediately contacted the office to coordinate the work with our kitchen demo. I'll update once the work is completed.

Terrible experience! Last year, one of their employees came out to fix a minor problem for me and we happened to get on the subject of all the work I need done. He said Crown also does home remodeling and I walked him through my two bathrooms that need remodeling so he could give me a quote on those and a full house repipe. I got the estimate and it seemed reasonable, but I needed to save money to pay for it. I saved money over months and then contacted them. By then the price had gone up quite a bit, which I understand because the price of everything is going up. Sadly, I didn't get any other estimates and they began work doing the repipe first (I have several complaints about the quality of work below), then the owner came to do a final walk-through of my bathrooms before starting them and stated that the estimate was always for ONE bathroom and I need a new estimate. FALSE! It was always for both baths and the other employee and I walked through them both times he was here and talked about what would be done to both. I even contacted the employee after looking over the estimate to say he forgot that I wanted a new tub and he never said, What tub? as my smaller bathroom they claim the quote was for has no tub, room for a standing shower only! I then got their estimate for $20k more. Get out of here! Just doing the repipe, they damaged my brand new fence and didn't say anything, used pieces of my new compost container they took from my backyard to hold down piles of dirt in my front yard, broke out tiles in my tub, which I didn't initially worry about because I thought they were remodeling the whole bathroom. They now say they never intended on remodeling that tub so apparently that's the quality of work (pictured) they expect their customers to live with! Then, I even told the employee that the kitchen sink was leaking after the repipe, he said he fixed it and no, it still leaks. I am a single mom who goes to school full time and works at for a public school, I am far from wealthy and now I have to find money to pay for someone else to fix my kitchen sink and repair tile in my bathroom because now water is getting into my wall -- it hurts to do this as the bathroom needs to be gutted, not repaired, but I'm sure I'm damaging my house further if I don't get this fixed right away. I also don't want to invite these people back into my house to fix the problems they created because I do not trust them. They also kept my $1k deposit that the owner said he was returning and also never repaid me to fix my fence they broke with what looks like a shovel. I am so sad I trusted them and didn't get more estimates because I think now I overpaid for their work. If you are wealthy maybe they will do better work for you, if not, avoid!

I've noticed some plumbing issues in the past - such as pipes rattling when water dispenses from the refrigerator. I called Crown Plumbing and they were able to schedule an appointment. Shane came out and installed a water hammer arrester. He also noticed that the street water main to my home had a water pressure of 100. This should normally be at or below 60, per Shane. This was repaired and now the water pressure is contained - hopefully preventing any damage to the water pipes.

We had a tough storm drain problem ... drain backing up in heavy rain. Pablo and his crew showed up and worked to get it as clear as they could ... the problem returned the next time it rained! They brought over the Hydro Flush machine and worked on the drains (3000 PSI) ... the drains got better ... but they backed up again and the crew came back (all under warranty) and finally found the blockage about 15 feet back from the curb in the storm drain system. Wow! totally fixed it this time using their high pressure equipment and plumbing savvy to clear a bunch of roots, mud, and stones from the drain. Works like a charm now ... much much appreciate their staying with the task until it was REALLY done and working ... BTW the first call was on Christmas eve ... no problem, over they came. Awesome service!

Elderly instant water heater gave out after its full decade lifespan. Our family was in urgent need of a replacement. Crown answered the phone, nicely, we had an appointment within a day, they came on time, and replaced the unit with an upgraded model that same week. We are highly satisfied. Crown plumbing is excellent!

We've used Crown Plumbing for several plumbing projects around the house over the past few years, from replacing our water heater to fixing a leaking dishwasher. They are always timely, courteous, and responsive. I appreciate that every repair person who we've worked with has taken the time to explain what they're doing and why, and what things I might be able to do on my own in the future. Great experience with these guys!

We had a broken sewer line to the curb.  This was a major undertaking and Manny and his crew were the consummate professionals.   They were knowledgeable and courteous.  Manny took care of all the permits and paperwork and was immediately responsive any time I called him.  The work was completed on time and the cleanup was very well done.  I have not come across a more professional team.  Highly recommended.  Thanks Crown Plumbing!!

I thought my garbage disposal had failed and called Crown to replace it.  Salvador came right on time and checked it to see what the problem was.  Turned out there was nothing wrong with the disposal.  He checked the drain line and gave me some suggestions on how to make sure I didn't clog the line.  Very impressed with this honest company.

We had an issue with a sewage smell in our house.  Crown was supportive and available to come do an inspection.  Anthony came over and thoroughly inspected and provided recommendations to address the smell.  Very friendly and professional.  Highly recommend.

Called this morning, on Labor Day and got a quick response and visit.  Luis was thorough and gave some options going forward.

To me, the important thing about a plumber is reliability. I went through a few plumbing companies before I found Crown. Crown Plumbing has been servicing my income-producing brownstone in Manhattan for many years. We're not one of their bigger clients, not by a long shot. But they treat us as if we were. They fix any issues with heating or leaks the day I call in. They check our boilers at the start of the winter. For some reason one of our boiler's pilot fails every couple of years. Aware of this, they always have thermocouples in the truck in preparation. And the couple of times that we've had a serious problem (it's an old building), they show up immediately any day of the week. Their reliability comes with very reasonable prices. Crown Plumbing delivers excellent service.

Crown responded quickly to a water leak from my ceiling. Sal was on time, professional and very pleasant. I'm very pleased with the work done and will definitely use them for all my future plumbing needs!

Had a leaky kitchen faucet.  Hose from kitchen faucet leaking and water under sink and on counter.  Luis Perez installed new faucet and checked for leaks afterwards. No leaks!!!  Recommend Crown Plumbing ask for Luis Perez.

It was a wonderful experience working with Crown Plumbing! I had a water heater leakage and called early in the morning. The receptionist was very courteous and was able to schedule someone to come within one hour. After inspection and recommendation I decided to get a new unit. Michael S. was able to get a second person to gather all needed parts and finished the job within two hours. During the process I have received several texts for updates on the status. I really appreciate the great communication, their professionalism and friendliness. Highly recommend!

Mike was a pleasure. He showed up within the prescheduled window.  He wore a mask the whole time and put shoe covers on before coming into the house. He was friendly, and easy going, yet professional.  Mike identified the problem in minutes and replaced the broken part.  He helped me figure out another small problem with my other shower drain.

I am not sure if they are competitive compared to other reputable plumbers, but I didn't want to search around too much. I went off reviews on Yelp and another site and I am very happy I found them. I will definitely use them again - I just hope I don't have to for a while.  

I would share photos, but you'd just seem a finished result and a shower that needs a deep clean.  So I'll spare you.

Michael @ Crown Plumbing has been wonderful. This is a long overdue review. A few days before last Thanksgiving, the water valve for my washer & dryer started leaking during the installation of the new machines. People at Crown Plumbing were very kind by listening to my desperate ask for help, and managed to squeeze me in for the same afternoon service schedule. Michael called me before he was on his way to my place to assure me that everything will be fine and he'll be here very soon. I received frequent updates on Michael's status when he was on his way. When he arrived, again he told me not to worry. He quickly identified the issue and fixed it within half an hour. The whole process was smooth. Michael was professional, courteous and friendly.

We needed a toilet installed with a washlet. Estimates were given over the phone. Appt. was made within two days. Sal came out and did the install with minimal issues. He also gave us an estimate for additional work to consider. Overall, a good experience with accurate pricing.  Recommended.

Addendum to my review of 7/20/21:  I checked the San Jose Permits website and this is the language with regard to the mandating of permits:

1.  It brings accountability with regard to workmanship and ensures the job is done correctly; 2.  It's required by law and illegal work may incur citations and reconstruction costs and 3.  Liability carriers will not cover the damages to or caused by the construction done without a permit.  

Crown Plumbing's estimator told me I don't need a permit and I got 2 substantially different estimates--one in person and one in writing, as detailed below.

I got a reply and a phone call from the owner after I declined the double-the-cost written estimate, who told me the technician should have known better and was basically in error.  After 25 years of installing hot water heaters, the technician, as well as the owner, are likely fully aware that permits are required or there is even a second serious problem.  The permit requirement is the second issue.  The 2,195.00 in-person estimate and the $4,351,00 written estimate an hour later is the first issue.  I will not be doing business with them.  I do not want anymore contact from the owner.

My advice to consumers is get it in writing; check reviews and make sure you have a permit, which YOU, the consumer can get yourself at a FRACTION of the inflated cost.  

7/20/21:  Today I got an estimate in person from Crown Plumbing for $2,195.00 for a new hot water heater...with no permit as permits are not required per their representative and that a permit was approximately $500.00 more.  The estimator indicated everything that he would need to do which included earthquake straps, a line down to the crawlspace, a drip pan, and all the accoutrements needed to complete the job.  The only issue was whether to get a permit or not to get a permit.  The in-person quoted price of $2,195.00 did not include a permit because I allegedly did not need one, the estimator said.  

Then, within an hour, I got a written estimate via email for $4,351.00 which included the earthquake straps, the pan, etc.  Funny how the estimate doubled once the technician walked out of the door.  So an in-person estimate was $2,195.00, then the REAL estimate in writing came in at $4.351.00, more than double what i was told by the company less than an hour earlier.  I will not be doing business with a company who does things like this.  Beware.

The service was great. Very responsive and competent. Job well done. Just a bit pricey, but everything is these days. Definitely would use them again

Called Crown Plumbing yesterday to address a plumbing leak in my crawl space and got an appointment for a plumber to arrive today between 8 and 10 am. A bit after 8 Pablo Chavez from Crown arrived, found the leak and the source of the liquid leaking before quoting the repair. All of the parts and tools were on the truck and the repair was complete, tested, and cleanup finished (and paid for) shortly after 10 am.

Hard to beat getting the repair done just after the latest arrival estimate. Pablo was polite, knowledgeable, efficient, and masked.

Had a plugged sewer line.  Around noon,called another plumber and they couldn't come out till tomorrow. Called these guys and the girl asked some questions and said Let me see what I can do. Next thing I know I have an appointment for same day between 12-2PM. By to 2:37pm the job was done.
Very happy with the professionalism and quick response;' highly recommended.

I think this is going to be my go to plumber from now on.  I used to use a licensed plumber that had his own business, but really was a 2-3 man shop, so quality was great but response slow.  In those cases, I'd always go to larger 'franchise' plumbers and they were ok.

I tried Crown and as a bigger plumber shop, they are super responsive and the quality of the work and the professionalism of the person they sent was great!  Easily could tell that his skill and knowledge was higher than some of the other bigger plumbing companies out there.

Very professional. Our water heaters pilot light went out and we ended up needing the thermocouple replaced. The tech had the parts and fixed the water heater on the spot. I'm pretty sure we need a new water heater sooner than later and when we do, we will have crown back out to help. Very impressed.

Overpriced and would not recommend.  Here is my experience:
Had them come out to snake a slow moving drain through the back clean-out around a year ago ($275).  They said it didn't look like roots or other items, just a regular clog.

4-5 months later water slows again, bring them out another time.  I asked them when scheduling to do more diagnostics to see if its roots, etc.  Guy was supposed to call when he came by to discuss what he is seeing.  He just showed up, snaked, & left without calling.  I am the owner and dont live in the area.  I just get a text that job is done now pay $275 again.

6 or so months after that, slow drain again.  I say I want a camera/diagnostics to see what is going on.  They say they have to hydrojet the line first and then will camera, which is $750.  Seems expensive but say fine.  They show up and say there is something wrong with my cleanout and I need a new cleanout, which is an additional $1,400.  Total is now $2,050.  

In a timing bind so I go along with it.  They start digging out the cleanout area, etc.  Later after the job is done they call and say that a new cleanout wasnt needed, once they dug it out (maybe 3x4x2 ft hole) they could figure out how to get the pressure hose in.  I would just need to pay for the 1 hr of digging.  Seemed reasonable at first glance.  

End result: dug around the back cleanout that was only 2 ft deep, hydroflushed the line, camera'd.  Price $750 + $450 to dig the hole (and not filling it back in), so $1,200.   Pretty steap for digging a hole.  This is all on security cameras and was for 3 hours worth of work, including setup & cleanup.  Their day also included a 2.25 hr lunch, another hour where they packed up and left then came back, etc.  

Then their assessment was that my main sewer line is bad and needs replacement.  They give me a quote for that which was $18,000.  Complained about the $1,200 and they said too bad, workers were there for 6 hrs.  Maybe they didnt think I could see that only half that was actually working?  So $400 per hour, including digging a hole.  

Afterwards got work done from other licensed, insured, 5st yelp plumbers and did the following:
- replace sewer main for $6k including permits (Crown quote $18k)
- replace/improve back cleanout for $400.  (Crown quote $1,400)
- Hydrojetting quoted at two other places for $300-$400.  (Crown $750).

Excellent customer service. They were quick to respond to a call, even though it wasn't an emergency. Very professional when the entered my home. Will definitely be recommending they to all friends and family.

Our main sewer was backed up. Came out same day and able to fix the issue. Professional, informative and thorough...

Walked out of my garage and noticed that the wooden pedestal that my water heater was placed on was damp. Upon inspection the whole pedestal was soaking wet that I figured the heater was leaking for a while now and needed replacement before more damage is done. To make my situation worse it was already late in the day and it was July 4th weekend so most plumber can no longer accommodate me. Called the person who installed my water softener and he is swamped for the next 2 weeks so he recommended someone else but still a no go since his supplier is already closed for the holiday and won't open back up 'till after the holiday and so I was recommended another person.
Alas Aron from Crown Plumbing was more than willing to help me out and scheduled me for the next day (Saturday July 3rd) for a complete swap of water heater. Aaron was very professional and mentioned some recommendations due to the wet pedestal but due to time constraints we can only do a swap. he even throw in a water heater pan just because I was paranoid that another leak might happen.
I highly recommend Crown Plumbing and Aaron.

Luis came to our home and got right to work and had our issue fixed pretty quickly. He was friendly, courteous and efficient! I would highly recommend Crown Plumbing!

Our tub has only hot water and we contact Crown Plumbing. They respond quickly so we can get it fixed soon. Freddy come to our house. He is very helpful and patient. We requested the same service from another plumbing repair and they refused to come because they say the job is too small. They don't understand without cold water we cannot use the bathroom actually. Anyway Crown Plumbing accepts the job and get it done quickly. The price is also reasonable.

I always call Crown Plumbing for all my plumbing needs .... Big and small! I have never been disappointed. The most recent job was last week. They  replaced my washing machine hook ups. The hot water was leaking.

I received a call from my renter that the kitchen sink was leaking and water was all over the area under the sink.  I called 3 plumbers, the last being Crown.  They were able to send a plumber to the house and fix it in an hour.  The whole ordeal lasted about one and a half hours from start to finish.  My renter said that the plumber was wonderful.  I will use them again.

We had a plumbing emergency on a july 4th long weekend and they were here 1.5 hours later than AM. The service provider Shane was helpful and knowledgeable. Go Crown Plumbing!

Amazing service for our plumbing catastrophe.  We had a big leak in the water line to the house that ran under a big concrete slab.  The house was flooded underneath.  Shane was out right away on a Friday to get a hose set up around the problem so we could have water service, then got a restoration company out that afternoon to pump out under the house and put in fans to dry it out.  The Crown crew came on Saturday to bore under the concrete without breaking any of it; they put in the new line that day.  

In the mean time, Shane found and diagnosed a problem with the flooring beneath one of the toilets, then came out Tuesday and fixed it all neatly without damaging the flooring.  We are thrilled with their service!

I can't thank Freddy and Crown Plumbing enough.  Late Friday afternoon I broke my water main while excavating for a landscape project.  Crown took my call and immediately scheduled service.  Freddy arrive in 1hr.!  He assessed the situation, went back to Crown's shop to get the special parts and equipment needed.  He returned shortly thereafter and quickly fixed the broken pipe.  He used a unique pipe joining system that did not require soldering.  Water was back on less than 3-hours after the pipe was broken.  I'm so impressed and thankful.

Victor was prompt with estimate and return. Great to work with. Very professional. I give Crown all stars because they deserve them.

We have an old house with tricky plumbing. Victor did a great job. We will definitely call him again as we know we need someone knowledgeable and hard working to deal with our issues.

I phoned six plumbers before I arrived at Crown Plumbing. Each one who had no time for the job would recommend another. Crown was the only one who would come out! A pipe had broken and I had to turn the water off. I had no water and faced up to two weeks or more before I could get an appointment (the worst cases). Crown came out at the end of the day (I was at my wit's end in finding a plumber) and did the job. The technician who came was Luis Perez. He knew what he was doing, was very polite and efficient. The price was fair.  I will use them again. It is very difficult to get a plumber right now - they are all busy with construction jobs that have been deferred because of the pandemic.

This review is for a commercial space. Crown Plumbing was referred to me by San Jose Drain and Main as they don't do commercial. I have a backed up pipe that every time a toilet gets flushed, it is coming out at the floor drain (eew).

I called them today, 11noon, Shane arrived within the hour, told him the run down in 2 mins then he started working. Got it going in about an hour. He told me what the issue was (someone flushed a bunch of wipes- previous tenant, we are new).

So basically, all it took was 2 hours. I started for a plumber since last Friday and with the shelter in place order, it was quite difficult to get a hold of someone. I will be using them again, their number definitely will get plastered on the wall who to call in case of plumbing issue.

This is a messy job but Shane made it professional. Thank you kindly, you get my recommendation.

They did a great job installing new toilets. I would call them for other jobs in the future.

Though I didn't have a chance to use them, they were exceptional in their customer service. It was right after the holidays and Crown Plumbing was the only company with the shortest timeframe for coming out. I explained to the dispatcher that I would keep their appointment but that I would look around for a plumber who would come out sooner. My neighbor recommended a plumber and he came out the next day, so I canceled with Crown but everything about them was brilliantly professional. Any company that responsive has to be terrific, hence the 5-star rating.

Had Luis Perez out today to swap out and tub spout. Works was quick, he had the parts with him and cleaned up when he was done. Is use again !

Had a faulty shutoff valve and a leaking fill valve.  Called them at 3:00pm, they arrived just before 4pm, and were done by 4:30 at a reasonable price.  Even got 15% off for mentioning I found them on yelp.  The guys were nice and professional.  I would use them again.

Manny Chavez showed up within the arrival window to deal with a plugged kitchen sink.  He was very pleasant and got right to work.  Within an hour he had our sink back up and running along with some advice on how to avoid this problem in the future.  Great job!

Very pleasant experience from start to finish.  I needed a shutoff valve replaced for a refrigerator before a new refrigerator was being delivered.  They were able to come out within 2 hours of when I called them and the plumber was courteous and thorough.  I will definitely consider them for any future plumbing needs.

We had a problem with very old faucets in our laundry room that couldn't hook out to our new washing machine. They sent someone out the next day to take a look at the problem and it was fixed the morning after. Great work and so fast. The plumber was so professional and took every safety precaution!

I'm a property manager who is a service-based company, which means I care about my tenants being taken care of quickly. Crown Plumbing is our Go-To plumber for the past 5 years. They always answer the phone when I call. They schedule repairs as soon as they can. Their communication is always prompt. Service technicians are always respectful, and this project in particular was a clogged disposal at 8pm. Manuel was in time the very next morning, repaired the clog. I had Crown Plumbing out for a shower clog. They communicated well, they were professional, they were on time. Victor Flores was the plumber who arrived. He was courteous, friendly, professional, and was wearing a mask (this was during Covid-19 Delta wave). He was quick, knew what he was doing, and left my shower cleaner than he found it. By a lot. Which I wasn't expecting. :) I would happily call these folks again.

Dominic from Crown Plumbing was fantastic at installing my toilet and valve in the bathroom. He was punctual and courteous and completed the job in no time. I would definitely recommend Crown.

Called Abram in the morning regarding a water heater leak. He was able to send out Mike fairly quickly. Mike had good manners, presented everything fairly, shared the technical aspects of his diagnosis, and was easy to talk with.

He offered advice on next steps that should be considered and was not pushy about it. I liked that.

If I have any more plumbing needs, I will be sure to go back to Mike, Abram, and Crown Plumbing.

I can't judge their work, however I felt the need to share that their prices are ridiculous.  I was quoted close to $800 to install a garbage disposal, and the average rate is closer to $150.  Definitely get a ball park estimate before scheduling.

We've used Crown Plumbing a few times, always reliable, come within the time frame scheduled and the work very professional - prices are very reasonable. More recently this past year Shane & Fernando assisted us with a clogged drain we had been battling for at least 3 days. Crown Plumbing is always our go to, so glad we found them on yelp!

Discovered a sewage leak under the house, called Crown. Shane was out right away and made his diagnosis. Came back 8:30 the next morning with Ramondo.

They got to work. Finished in about three hours. They left the house just like they found it. Also took excellent pictures so I didn't have to get down in the crawl space to see what they had done.

This is the third time we've done business with Crown plumbing and our second review. The second time they came they swapped out a sink fixture for us. This time we had a leak in the basement but couldn't find the source. We called them late on a Wednesday afternoon and they came out on Thursday morning. They quickly identified the source of the leak, which had to do with our refrigerator. They immediately got in touch with a person who could clean up the water in the basement. He arrived within the hour, undoubtedly saving us some major hassles. At the end of the day we had the appliance repaired by the company because it was under warranty, but Crown is always great. They know what they're doing, they show when they say they will, their rates are reasonable. They're a pleasure to work with and we have their number in our phones.  Five stars every time.

These guys are great. I've had two interactions with them recently. They're now in my address book for future needs!
1. I put an offer on a house & had them come out for a detailed plumbing inspection. They found that the copper piping was bad and needed to be replaced. They were professional, friendly, and drew up a cost estimate immediately. Upon careful consideration, I decided to withdraw the offer and saved a ton of money as well as a big headache.
2. More recently, they came out to investigate a leak in my kitchen sink. Found the leak quickly and advised how I could fix it myself quickly and pretty easily. Of course, they said that they'd be happy to come out and do it themselves, if I'd prefer. I was impressed with their transparency.

Efficient and timely. Job well done replacing toilet. Will certainly call again for plumbing needs.

Shout out to crown plumbing and especially our plumber Luis Perez!! My bracelet slipped down the bathroom sink at 6pm on a Tuesday and crown plumbing had someone here within an hour. Luis wore a mask and was efficient. He was able to take apart the plumbing in 2 minutes and found my beloved bracelet. Thank you Luis and crown plumbing!!! Great customer service even after hours

I would highly recommend Crown Plumbing.  We noticed our water heater kept displaying an error message stating the burner needed replacing.  They recommended we obtain the part from the manufacturer as the unit was still under warranty.  We reached out but had no luck getting a response from the manufacturer.  When we called Crown Plumbing back they had a direct number for us and success we got the part!  Shane from Crown Plumbing replaced our water heater burner in under an hour.  He was on time, professional, wore protective gear and we are so happy with the work.

It was great that they showed up wear all the safety item and on time.manny was great a total professional.All I needed was the drained cleaned out .manny took the time to listen to my concern and went right to work .He cleaned up after doing the job and the price for the repair was great.I would recommend them .Ask for Manny.

We needed a sink and faucet to be installed.   Called and got an appointment.   They showed up.   This was the first time we had someone come and work on our house since Covid-19.   He had a mask on.  My husband asked if we should have masks.   He told us know and then shared that he doesn't really believe in the Virus and just wears it because he has to.  

Quoted us almost $500 just install a faucet and connect sink to drain pipe and work on our toilet that he really didn't look at.  

My husband told him no thank you.   He said we'll be getting a bill for $90 for giving an estimate.   We weren't informed of this over the phone by the company.   Haven't received one yet and better not.    

Be careful calling them and make sure they tell you about any charges for just showing up.

Called Crown on Christmas Eve with an emergency. Main water line developed a leak and a section of my front lawn was becoming a saturated swamp. They responded at were at my house in 30 minutes. My technician, Freddie located the hole, dug 3 feet down and re-piped the damaged part of the pipe. Within two hours the problem was repaired. Freddie was very honest, pleasant and I will use Crown Plumbing again in the future. Also, I felt that the price they charged me, right before a holiday, was very fair and they did not over charge considering the emergency and Christmas Eve.

Don't mistake friendliness for great service.

When we were renting, our landlord used these guys and the plumber that came out seemed nice enough. Since we weren't paying, what did it matter?

Boy, is it a different story when you foot the bill.

1. Quoted us over $6k to replace a bit of galvanized pipe and a water heater. We had another company come out and did everything for less than $2k, including an upgraded Rheem water heater.
2. To give you an idea of their prices, $300 to replace a shower cartridge (part is anywhere between $20-50 and takes 15 minutes) and $200 to replace a shower diverter (again, part is $20-50 and is a 5 minute job).
3. When we called them to do some warranty work, they came out and claimed it wasn't covered by the warranty and because they were able to clean out the offending part, they didn't have to charge us. Only $200 for the house call. WHAT?!?

Sure, they send you a text to let you know they're on their way and can use an app to email you a quote, but if you end up getting ripped off in the end, is it all worth it?

Used them last week when I noticed the ceiling in garage leaking. They came out that day and after the plumber(forgot his name) did a few tests quickly determined it was the seal around toliet was leaking. Sealed it and ran some tests, no leaks! The plumber was super nice and spent a great deal of time to determine the problem.Will use Crown again!

Fantastic, capable service.  Called at 2 pm.  They gave me a time of 3-5 THAT DAY.  Texted when Sal was on his way.  Arrived on time.  Diagnosed and fixed badly leaking shut off valve and faucet in bath in 20 minutes.  Recommended future replacements on 33 year old faucets.  CC'd service charge and he leaves.  Whatta relief!

I received a text that the driver, pablo was in route to my home, he arrived on time! Pablo quickly assessed the problem with the old toilet and advised replacing it with a new water saving toilet, he had a top quality Kohler toilet on his truck that had a higher seat,  that I liked better then my old toilet. Pablo quickly removed the old toilet, wile taking it out, he noticed that I had installed a new fill valve and flapper, he asked if I wanted to save the new parts, incase I needed to repair the 2nd bathroom toilet.. that will save me money and a drive to the hardware store if I need to repair it!
Pablo took the time to shim the new toilet and seal the base of the toilet with caulk, i appreciate the extra time he spent on the little details and cleaning the bathroom floor!
Just as he was finishing the installation, i remember that I had a small leak under my kitchen sink..
Pablo noticed that the garbage disposal was badly rusted and was starting to leak!.. could flood the kitchen if I use the dishwasher!
 I didn't want to call him back for a second job, as that would cost more money to drive to his shop and back to my home!   Pablo had a new garbage disposal, and all  the new drain pipes and fittings on his huge truck!
He called his boss, gave me a quote.. then told his boss that he was staying to replace the disposal and drain pipes

We had a leaking toilet, and heaven knows I had no idea how to handle this. Enter Crown Plumbing. Long story short, they solved the problem quickly, efficiently, and affordably. Highly recommend!
