We had an emergency when our frozen heater pipes suddenly burst over the holiday weekend. Dov was the only company to come out on that observed day off!! No one wanted to come out that day but Dov did! Him and his partner were so nice and patient. They replaced the pipe immediately, double checked that the boiler was working correctly and gave us heat in no time! Dov was a life saver and will highly recommend them to friends and family.

Unfortunately I had a really bad bathtub clog where none of the usual home remedies worked. I used Draino, a cheap snake from Amazon, and the good old plunger.

Sadly after a 15 minute shower, I was ankle deep in water that would not drain. I found Dov on Yelp and they responded quickly even though it was 9pm on Thursday.

David was here by 10:35 the same night and saved the day. He even put on sanitary booties so that my floor would stay clean. That was a very much appreciated extra touch.

Within 15 minutes, he had slayed the hair monster in my drain and my crisis was adverted. Definitely recommend these guys. They do the job and with great care.

Friendly, no bad vibes. Arrived on time, explained what was needed, showed exactly what was causing kitchen sink leakage into our basement. While in the basement, showed me some defects which should be addressed in the future. Dovie is a true pro and there would be no hesitation in hiring them again. Not only was the response time fast, but they were also punctual and total respect was shown as they came fully masked and wearing protective shoe covings which I appreciated very much. By just the photo that I sent, a quick and accurate diagnosis was given, and the duration of the job was just as quick. They even changed some of my fittings free of charge. Very high recommendation for this company.

Charged our building thousands and could not fix, then told us he couldn't fix it. No refund. We had another company come and only charged us 600 bucks. Been problem free for the past 3 months.  

Some scary stuff on these other bad reviews - I recommend you read them before hiring these guys.

Dov is the only plumber I completely trust to deal with my plumbing issues. Plus he is easy to get a hold of and schedule a visit with. He has done multiple things for me from unclogging a drain to bigger jobs like checking the sewer pipes throughout my building. I highly recommend him.

Our laundry room smelled like sewage. Another plumber told us we must not have a p trap and quoted us $2400 to break open the tile, rip out moulding, dig into the concrete, and add one. My contractor insisted we did have one, but there was a clog. I was frustrated and so I called Dov and he came with a camera showing we did -- it was just dry. They showed us how to monitor it and found and repaired a small issue at another part of our sewer at the same time. Hands down the best plumber I've hired in years.

I own a small business and did two commercial projects with Dov that were well-done and reasonably priced -- he replaced a broken faucet and secured a wobbly toilet.

I needed him to snake a drain on a dump sink and he quoted me $765 for it. I paused after he told me because I wasn't sure whether or not he was joking. He wasn't. I won't be using these services again.

I had an issue with a commercial office space we were trying to sublease, the toilet was a disaster and had been sitting for over a year from Covid. The kitchen sink had an issue as well and Duffy came out and was able to take care of it in under an hour or so. I was blown away. He is also very professional and very kind. Highly recommend.

Quoted me about $700 to replace a kitchen faucet.  I got it done today for $200.  Surprisingly high priced.  I didn't use him.  He was responsive though.

Seriously! Do your research on what jobs should cost, because if they can rip you off- THEY WILL..! They quote 3 faucets installation for $1,500, not including faucets. FYI - I have other plumbers, quote me between $180 - $250 per hour. And the job took an hour.

I have used this company for my previous job, $375 for a sink basket leak. Expensive basket replacement. Not going to rave how great of a job, plumber's capability to change a sink basket is pretty basic

Dov is very professional, efficient, and thoughtful in their work. We had an ongoing leak and Dov, after showing up in a mask and booties, was able to quickly resolve the issue and help diagnose the severity of several other minor issues (proposing solutions that were less costly and complex than other plumbers). On top of that, Dov helped explain the issue after the work was done so that I could understand what had changed and why the leak sprung up in the first place.

5/5 -- would definitely hire them again!

DOV has done two repairs in our apartment and both times was very fast, professional, and transparent. He charges a fair price and does honest work, doesn't try to sell you on repairs you don't need like some other plumbers might do. I'll be using him for every job in the future!

Magnificent job from this guys. They did an amazing job with my sink which had been giving me a hell of time. The water was not flowing well and I would always use a plunger to push to block but after these guys repaired it, I don't have trouble anymore. Dov installed a new toilet, fixed my shower (which previously did not have hot water and had low water pressure), and unclogged my bath drain. He was incredibly professional, starting with the original consult over a phone call and follow-up text messages. Dov requested pictures and measurements to ensure he came with the correct equipment. He arrived on time, was highly knowledgable about plumbing, offered very fair prices (with proper invoice documents), and executed the three different jobs expertly. My toilet had a clean and neat line of sealing to the floor, which I didn't have before. He also cleaned up after the job was completed and came in with shoe covers and large paper rolls to protect my floors. Dov is trustworthy and knows what he is doing. I am so glad that I found him. I will definitely him again!

Excellent service.  Payment is check or cash/zelle,no credit cards. Was referred by a friend and a Yelp backed up her opinion.  Leak from behind kitchen wall and could not be seen.  Came quickly assessed,  and fixed the next day as scheduled.  This was a big job as there cutting open the wall behind the sink and appliance, cutting out the old pipe and replacing with new pipe curving downward.  Very clear with diagnosis, clean and explains throughly.  The price was not for the faint of heart but an estimate was provided in advance before proceeding, and the reassurance of a job well done was worth every penny.

Nice guy and all.   I have a ton of roots and a single vented trap.  He cleared the drain but said it needed hydrojetting, a new trap etc.  bottom line.. I was charged about $600 and had to have another company come clear it again less than a month later.  That guy spent more time clearing and with a larger machine and charged only $225.  Sooooo.. figure that out?

I called this guy at 230 pm and he got in touch with my tenant, set up an appointment, showed up, fixed the problem and sent the bill all before I left work.  I was billed electronically and sent a video of the draining sink.  This was not an emergency appointment.  They are just this quick.  I am a nurse working very long hours with little time to go back and forth with calls and texts to try to resolve issues.  They answered the phone on the second ring, took the info and showed up within an hour of getting in touch with my tenant.  I highly recommend!  There are very few issues I have ever dealt with as a landlord that were handled this professionally.  Thank you Dov!

The waste pipe under our sink had eroded, and I contacted a few plumbing businesses on Yelp. Dovie responded very quickly, and answered all my questions. He was able to schedule a visit the next day, and he came prepared with all the pieces he needed to replace the existing pipe with a new one. He had his own booties for his shoes and kept a tidy work area. Would recommend and contact again for my future plumbing needs

I would give Dov more stars if I could. Dov delivered the best customer experience I've ever had with a skilled tradesman in NYC.

He was very prompt in his response and was able to come out same day.

He did a great job of explaining what his process was going to be, and making sure I understood it and was aligned prior to diving in. He also did a great job of updating us as he learned more, and explained what possible solutions could be.

The job ended up being more complex than anticipated, but Dov brought me along at every step, even showing me video of exactly where the problem was coming from. He was able to fix it in the same day.

I had the misfortune of getting a leaky toilet on a Saturday night, I reached out and left a message to the owner asking for a quote. Sunday morning, before I was even awake, the owner had reached out and asked for photo and video of the leak so that he could provide an accurate estimate. I provided the requested items and the owner was able to provide a quick quote, and schedule a technician to come out within 3-4 hours.

The technician arrived at the beginning of the appointment window (thanks!) after giving me a 20 minute heads up phone call. Came in, wearing a mask d/t COVID, put on little footies to keep my floor clean, and was able to fix the leak within a few minutes, had the right part with him in the bag. Polite technician, quick on the job, nice person. After the technician left I noticed that there was still a minimal amount of leakage from a different area of the toilet mechanism (flushometer), and texted the owner. Without hesitation the owner promised to send the technician back after his next appointment, and would remedy the issue. Plumber came back a few hours later, fixed the problem in a few seconds.

Overall I'm very happy with the service, polite and professional. The estimate is on the high range (but not higher than all others I had tried), but the reviews sold this company for me, and even though like I said, it was a bit higher, I feel the professionalism and quality of the work speaks for itself. You get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

Dov and his colleague just came to our apartment to help us with a clogged drain, remove a garbage disposal and replace it with a new pipe. He was responsive, knowledgeable, and an all around decent person. I felt like he knew his stuff and didn't panic at all about the state of our plumbing woes (our apartment is a festering wound of badly done DIY work from the previous owner). I called a few services for quotes.  Dov was quickest in getting back with an itemized quote. His prices were competitive. Dov was a lifesaver -- I had an unexpected, huge flood in my kitchen, and since it was a holiday, my building would not send a plumber. So I called Dov, texted photos and videos of what had happened, and they were able to figure out what the issue was. They sent someone within 2 hours who was friendly and efficient. He wore a mask the whole time and was helpful in explaining to me what the issue was.

We had a gross sewer line backup and the first plumber we had come over couldn't figure it out. After a bunch of run around I decided to call Dov because of his reviews here on yelp. He responded super fast (on a sunday night no less), quoted a clear price, arrived on time, and completed the job promptly at the agreed upon price.
In summary: save yourself from the hassle of dealing with plumbers who don't know what they are doing: if you have a plumbing problem stop scrolling, give Dov a call, and get it solved!

I've finally found a plumber that I'll call on again!  Worked out a mutually agreeable time and estimate via email; he showed up when expected, did the job, even when it was an unusually stubborn clog.  We discussed why this keeps happening and the poor condition of the strainer and pipe and I asked him to just replace it.  Let's be very clear: Dovie wasn't pushing me for more work, I wanted this chronic problem fixed and solicited him to do more.

Price was reasonable, work seemed good and he's a nice guy to boot!

What a great company. They were very responsive via text. They came on short notice, gave a really fair price and came back free of charge to correct their original work. They installed a new sink in my bathroom and the water pressure began to just be a drizzle 3 days after the install. Everything is in great condition now. They were also good about covid protocol - the technician wore booties and a mask and washed hands before and after working. Highly recommend.

They showed up as a property manager I asked them could they identify the problem . Th service tech said it looks like it's an issue with the street Line. Which was obvious at that point because the street had started to sink. I stated ok I will call 311
Then I get a call from the office asking whether I want to treat the drain anyway . I said no it looks like it's a city problem . Guy in the office says well I will have to bill you for the service call. $ 210.00. I stated you did not do anything . He is now calling every other day

Never use these people lack of knowledge no business acumen .I will never ever call them. Call anyone else.

My bathroom sink was clogged and my kitchen sink started leaking, so I reached out and they immediately responded, requesting photos and video.  I sent them over and he gave me a preliminary quote (but more importantly, he also informed me that depending on the source of the kitchen leak, it may be a more expensive job than quoted).  The technician arrived wearing a mask and put on booties and gloves to enter my apartment.  After snaking my bathroom sink, he went to work on the kitchen sink leak.  He patched it up and left, but soon, it was leaking again; so I called back, and the technician returned.  He taped it up even more and said the shelf was pushing down on the pipes.  After he left, the leak got significantly worse! I couldn't wash dishes without emptying the bowl under the sink within 2-3 minutes.  

I reached out again and this time, Dov asked for more pictures and came out to us.  As he initially suspected, this was a more serious job.  He offered to refund us our money or we could pay the difference, now that the entire plumbing under the sink would need to be done.  We went ahead with doing the entire job and now, under our sink looks great, but most importantly, NO MORE LEAKING!! We gained some additional storage space because he moved the pipes further back towards the wall, used heavier pipes that wouldn't rot as much, streamlined the pipes so less loops and less junctures that could potentially leak in the future.

I would highly recommend working with them and have added them to my list of professionals when something needs to get done in our house. Although slightly expensive, the quality of the work was impeccable, the professionalism, and the commitment to having happy customers speaks volumes and was worth it.  You really get what you pay for and I'm glad I did!

Dov was very responsive and responded my quest for help on yelp quickly on Sunday. And he was willing to work on Sunday!! He came on time, discussed multiple remediation options with clear pricing and cost/benefit analysis. Equipped with all relevant tools and material, he executed quickly and cleaned up after his work. I found Dov through Yelp since he got good ratings.
He fixed my plumbing issue over a month ago but I waited to post my review on Yelp to make sure the issue was really resolved. Sometime plumbers come to your house and fix things but it ends up being an expensive BAND-AID!

Honestly, so far so good!
I called him and he showed up VERY QUICKLY.
He was extremely PROFESSIONAL and he got the job DONE!

I was very impressed by it all. Also a huge bonus... he didn't leave a mess!
The last plumber I used ripped holes in my walls and left the BIGGEST MESS EVER!

Dov wears protective cover for his shoes so he doesn't leave marks in your tub. Love it!

I will be calling him again if Heaven forbid we have anymore issues!

I am a long distance landlord so the logistics of sorting out home repairs is a challenge. I am always looking for vendors and service providers that I can trust and work with long term. I believe Dovie is a trustworthy, dependable, and professional plumber who I will be using in the future.

My tenant had complained about sewage smell in her bathroom and we were not sure what the problem was. I contacted a couple plumbers on yelp and ultimately decided to go with Dovie. Here is why Dovie will be my go-to plumber

1. He took the time to speak to me, the tenant, and also offered to speak to the super BEFORE coming to the apartment in an effort to diagnose the problem. This meant that I did not spend the minimum $150-$180 that many companies charge just to have someone come out. I was apprehensive about that because then at which point you are effectively locked in because you've already paid them to come out.

2. He was responsive by message and communicated with the tenant to organise a visit. He did have to reschedule but it seems like he showed up at the appointed hour. He was very easy to get a hold of and took time to explain what potential problems we could be facing.

3. He fixed the problem.

A simple thing like changing a leaking hose for a sprayer in the kitchen sink became a ordeal and took months. He priced us first for disconnect it and then again for connecting it. The price for doing so also changed from what originally was quoted, and he had taken the sprayer and by this kept us hostage to his service. He didn't show up on multiple scheduled occasions to end the job, and forgot to order the hose for the sprayer. I would not recommend this company.

From my husband: Imagine you're a handy person, so you attempt to replace a faulty toilet shutoff valve yourself on a holiday. After having trouble desoldering the valve off, you've sprung a leak and you can't keep the main water line off because its a large building and other apartments are affected.

It's an emergency, on a holiday, and clearly a professional was required-- in comes Dov to save the day. He coordinated coming by within a few hours and swiftly removed and replaced the faulty valve before the bathroom flooded. He then explained what I did wrong, which I found incredibly educational.

I was so pleased with Dov that I called him back to replace a toilet for my tenant the following day, which he handled professionally over the phone and text. I've used a few plumbers over the years, and I'm happy to have found an expert to rely on going forward.

Showed up with a mask and foot booties. Dov was punctual, very clean during and after completing the work. He was able to install a brand new garbage disposal within 2 hours, in a troublesome location. He was quickly able to move my drain/trap and shorten the cold water shutoff. Would definitely recommend and would use again.

Dov arrived at the house at 1:51pm and was done with the job by 3:42pm. He did a simple shower body replacement. He is actually the only repair/service person I allow in my home when I'm not there. Very trustworthy, professional, knowledgable and fair. We have been in touch for a year now as I've had a few issues with my shower. He always makes sure to clean up after he leaves too. I had a leak in my bath faucet. Dov correctly diagnosed it as a faulty stem. They replaced the hot, cold and diverter stems, as well as seats, fixtures and escutcheons. Clean job. The reason for 3 stars is the price. They gave me a quote of $800 + tax. I agreed thinking it would be a sizable job, and didn't want to lose the $200 visit fee (which they said would be deducted from job). However, the job only took two hours. I inquired afterwards, and he told me the parts cost approximately $100. They charged $700 for labor for a two hour job. Dov and his team are awesome. I called him at about 9pm because one of my pipes under the kitchen sink sprung a leak. Even though he couldn't come out at that time he walked me through how to shut the water off over the phone. The next day one of his team came over and quickly and CLEANLY fixed my pipe, wearing masks and even booties to cover their shoes. I called Dov about my clogged kitchen drain the day before Thanksgiving. I provided pictures of the pipes under my kitchen sink and was given an estimate right away. Someone arrived within a few hours to unclog the drain. The technician arrived wearing gloves and a face mask which was really appreciated as COVID safety is critical at this time. I am so happy with Dov-- If I ever need a plumber for anything, I'll be calling him.  The pipes in my apartment are old and corroded, but I was having this problem where the waste water from the washing machine was backing up into the kitchen sink.  At first he thought we might have to replace the pipes.

But he realized the solution was much simpler and had to due with the placement of the hose going from the machine to the sink; it was placed too high, and so he repositioned it.

My point is Dov is smart and knows what he's doing.  He can accurately figure out what the problem is.  And he won't try to overcharge you by recommending something you don't need.  (Such as replacing all the pipes under the sink--which I was prepared to do, because they were in bad shape)--but he was able to recognize that that was not causing the problem; it was the mistake that another plumber had made from before (--who I won't mention in this review, because they're also on Yelp and I don't want to cause trouble-- [But this other plumber also had high ratings on Yelp, so beware.  Not all well-reviewed places are equal.]  

But Dov is excellent at what he does.  And Dov fixed the problem caused by the previous plumber.  He's capable, competent, smart, honest, straight-forward and hard working.  I respect him highly and would say he's the person you should call for your plumbing issue.

He's very professional and direct. We were very impressed with his professionalism and his work.  Definitely, this guy's the one you should call.  Just call him directly.

My mother's house had been smelling like sewer for about 4 years now; the smell comes and goes, but is more noticeable when it rains.  When it's really bad, waste overflows into the basement. Yes, it's pretty awful.

Dov came, assessed the situation, gave us his recommendations, and fixed everything --all in 2hrs!!!  Really, amazing.  My 4 year headache fixed just like that.

Seriously, you have no idea how happy I am not to be smelling sewer all day.  I feel like I can breathe again --literally!

Great service! Specialist answered messages very quickly and gave a decent price for the garden hose install comparing to other companies ($175). He came on time early in the morning and brought all the parts which were included in the price. He was able to finish within 15-20 minutes.
I totally recommend Dov Sewer and Drain. We could probably do it ourselves after a dozen of YouTube videos but I'm very happy with the quality and speed of their work!

I have to say that our new go-to plumber Dov has been great for the following reasons:

1. Can call him for same day service and he actually shows up.
2. Not only does he show up ready to work but on time, sometimes even earlier than his ETA.
3. It takes him less than half the time to fix leaks than other plumbers that we used in the past for many years, who only put a bandaid solution on our problems so they could milk us for more money. We've used him twice and he has not had to come back in order to re-fix a problem that he already fixed.
4. Dov is professional, affordable, reliable, hardworking and cleans up after himself.

I'm very happy with the service Dov provided. I had leaks in my bathroom faucet and shower. He quickly responded to my call and requested photos of the leaks. He confirmed that I would need a new faucet. Once I bought a new faucet, we scheduled an appointment for the next day. Dov carefully installed the new faucet and replaced the plunger in the sink. Dov even sealed the sink with silicone, which I had not thought to request. He checked out the shower and advised me on next steps.

I unreservedly recommend Dov. He is direct but easy-going, he works carefully and efficiently, and I'm satisfied with the results. I will continue to work with Dov.

We hired Dov to snake out a basement level patio drain after construction work had clogged it.

I have used Dov twice.  Once to fix plumbing under the kitchen sink, once to fix out of control knob in bath tub.

He is punctual, fast, professional, pleasant, and thorough.

He asks for pictures, and arrives prepared with all the parts and equipment needed to make the repair.  He even upgrades the pipes, etc. he's replacing with better ones.

He gives you price directly over the phone, as soon as he sees the pictures.  

I don't believe you could find a better plumber anywhere.

My kitchen double sink began leaking, and I tried to fix it myself. I just made things worse.  When I contacted Dov, I had many questions, and they were very responsive.   At first, the estimate gave me sticker shock. But, after the headache of trying to fix it myself and the thorough explanation of the service from Dov we scheduled them to come out.  The technician rebuilt the under sink plumbing replacing them with brass piping and better quality PVC than what was there.  The level of service and quality result was well worth the price. I would highly recommend using this company for any plumbing needs.

I must say...  Though posting reviews is not my thing, there was no way I could let this day coast by without sharing how great of a job Dov provided us late last night.  Besides, I admit it was due to his rave reviews from other clients on Yelp that we discovered Dov Sewer & Drain in the first place.  Our toilet and its surrounding tiling was poorly installed by a contractor a number of years ago and recently began to leak as a result of repeated rocking and subsequently wax ring failure (not to mention, a number of other flaws which Dov kindly pointed out).  So, what makes our experience worth mentioning?  Not only did Dov respond to my call immediately, he fit us into his schedule, showed up after-hours to survey, make suitable recommendations, complete the repair and clean up well after the work.   Conversely, what we value mostly is his proficiency, candor and determination to have the end result turn out just right.

Trust me when I say this guy is the BEST!  Not to mention, I'm certain it is by design and no coincidence that his actual full name is Dov Best!   #HowAwesomeIsThat

I have called this plumber twice - one in an emergency situation and again in an urgent ish situation- they responded to my call immediately and came out very quickly to my home.  The first time there was a flood in my basement due to a backup in pipes - they came and snaked it all out and resolved the issue quickly.  The second time also has to do with water and they were able to pretty quickly come and vacuum up the water and test all my plumbing.  Super easy to deal with and pleasant and helpful.  In the past I have always been hesitant with recommending plumbers as they tend to be hard to work with and harder to find when you really need them. These guys were great and I highly recommend them.

My parents house in brooklyn had a sewer clog. I found Dov on yelp at 9pm and he was there the next morning. He unclogged the sewer. He checked all the drains in the house to make sure they were flowing.

Dov did a full assessment of my clog and figured out it was a problem with how the toilet was installed to the drain pipe. It cost a bit more than I thought but it was worth it considering he had to reinstall the toilet correctly and clear the drain. He essentially pointed out and fixed a key design flaw. I asked Dov to come by to provide a second opinion on a previous plumber's recommendation that I spend upwards of $4,000 to replace my water heater. I think this says it all: As Dov was leaving, I said, It's been a pleasure working with you and I meant it!
My project was to change my shower knobs to handles in a pre-war (70-year-old) apartment building. I researched obsessively and contacted numerous plumbers for estimates and advice. To start- Dov's method of estimating impressed me. He asked for detailed photos and was able to give me an estimate from that- saving time for both him and me. He was clear and concise while discussing the job, putting me at ease. Dov's price was in the middle and I chose him without hesitation. The paperwork (estimate and billing) provided was detailed and complete, allowing the project to go smoothly. Communication was excellent, scheduling quick and easy.

Dov arrived on time and set up quickly. He worked methodically and thoughtfully, analyzing every step, a true perfectionist. He confirmed and reconfirmed that every part and every joint was perfectly integrated, even and level.  The finished pipes, inside the wall, are truly a work of art. We tested and retested for leaks. Clean up was complete and impeccable. Dov took the time to explain everything he was doing. He was patient and thorough when answering all my questions.
The bonus was: As Dov was leaving, I asked him to look at my sluggish kitchen drain that was preventing my dishwasher to drain completely. Over the past 10 year, six plumbers have looked at it and were unable to come up with a remedy. Professional plumber- Doctor Dov removed a part of the sink drain. - like magic-PROBLEM SOLVED! I almost cried with joy.

Dov was able to make a morning appointment when we contacted him about a clogged drain pipe in our kitchen. We sent pictures and he recommended replacement of some of the pipes that were installed initially with plastic parts, an issue I had already considered. He was very clear on costs and reasons for the proposed work. He arrived on time, and did the work very cleanly and inside of the expected time period. I can't really evaluate costs, but the end result was the clog was gone, and the plumbing under my kitchen sink is much more professional looking than the initial sink installer had done. Talked with Dov on Friday and he was able to come out on a Sunday morning. I sent some pictures of an issue with our plumbing under the sink and was given a quote.  He showed up on time and was very informative about the issue and the quality of the new pipe he was installing. He also removed an old water filter that we were nervous about messing around with.  He charged us the exact amount of the quote and was done on time.  Will call again.

We called him at 2pm & he promptly arrived at 5:30 which was in the exact time frame that he gave us. Same day service is a major plus in my busy life.

He had told us to have him come back a week after the last visit since the ice was pretty thick & that he'd come back to clear it up once we had some warmer days...

He did come back & charged us fairly as well for a job that took about 45 minutes & now our sink works perfectly!

He's very smart, intuitive & professional!

Hire him you won't feel taken advantage of. Which is rare in any business where u know absolutely nothing about how to do it yourself... (even with YouTube support.)

As a landlord, I whole heartedly recommend Dov! My tenant called about a leak under the kitchen sink and I found Dov on Yelp. After scheduling a time to check it out, Dov was on time, clear with what he was going to do, what was wrong and what needed to be fixed. Dov was super responsive over the phone and on iMessage, immediately asking for a photo of the issue to help diagnose it. He was willing to come out late at night on a weekend to address what we thought was an emergency (a very leaky valve in our building's laundry room), but once the urgency was mitigated, he ultimately agreed to come out the following day for substantially less money. He even messaged me first thing in the morning to let me know I was still on his radar.

Once on-site, he diagnosed and repaired the issue quickly, while also offering some advice about other plumbing oddities he witnessed in our building's basement. When the job was done, he took the time to clean up, which I really appreciated. And payment was a snap: Venmo with an emailed invoice and receipt right on the spot, for the exact amount he'd quoted me over the phone the previous night.

Overall, he's just a nice, trustworthy guy who works efficiently and knowledgeably, explaining what he's doing as he's doing it with no bravado. The repair wasn't complicated, so I can't speak to larger jobs, but for straightforward plumbing work, I wouldn't hesitate to contact him again.

I FINALLY found a wonderful plumber, after years of living in NYC I've found that reliable, fast, and quality plumbers, electricians, and other repairman are getting harder and harder to find. Dog answered our call when we called on a Monday NIGHT, the week of the 4th of July HOLIDAY, and said he would be there by 7am the next day. He even came a little early! Our toilet and kitchen sink was a nightmare- the sink wasn't draining and the toilet was so clogged the flusher wasn't even working. Dov fixed both without any problems within 10 minutes flat. I do not have enough good things to say about my experience with Dov Sewer and Drain. He came when he said he was coming. Repaired the problem, tried not to charge me for additional work and was very very clear about why he suggested an additional repair to a very old pipe. Then, when My dishwasher had problems after he left, he came back, carefully isolated the problem and fixed it for no additional charge, and without any visible frustration. I was so grateful for all of his help and seeing my problems through to the end!

Dov responded within 5 minutes on Yelp and was working on the blocked shower drain within 30.  He was very thoughtful about approaching the job - using a lighter touch for the older building (and even older pipes).  A plastic razor cover had fallen into my drain and was blocking the line, and he worked on it until it was broken up.  This was not an easy task given the age of the building and the tight quarters.  True to his word, he stuck with the quoted price, even though he had to get different tools from his car and the job took longer than expected.  I really appreciated working with Dov and will definitely call him again!

Dov came to my home the night of a blizzard, within a couple of hours of my call, even though it was difficult for him to get his truck out from the snow. Came the very next day when we reached out to fix our old faucet that was so defective, it was leaking and flooding our kitchen even when the water wasn't on. They took the time to try to figure out the problem over phone first in case it could save us having to pay for their in-person consultation; only when that didn't work, did they come and have the faucet replaced within a few hours of their visit, and even tried to help clean up the mess so the wood of our flooring wouldn't warp. This company is not an expert in their field which they have admitted to. They are crooks.  We called them on an emergency water heating leak and the came the next morning. They told us to replace and install a new water heater, and haul away the old one it would be $1687. That's tax included. We later realized that that flute was not installed correctly on the water heater which can lead to carbon monoxide leakage. If you go on the CDC website you will see the correct way it should have been installed. cdc.gov/co/faqs.htm. I called them shortly after realizing this and they told me they just put it back how they found it. It's not their problem if it's wrong. We only fix water heaters. In conclusion, These men claim to have experience in water heating supply and they do not; took our money took our money, did a poor job and Is aware of their lack of experience and you only find out later. Now I know better. Please stand clear of companies like this. They are after you money not caring how it may affect you or your family.

Called these guys at midnight because my waterheater was corroded, told me how to stop the leak say they would replace it in the morning, great! Showed up as promised and replaced it. Fast forward to when our water is up and running not the boiler isnt functioning, we call a friend who is a licensed professional in this field, he then told us that because they installed it wrong theres and chance CARBON MONOXIDE, THE SILENT KILLER, could leak from it, we called them back they admitted it was incorrectly installed but that's how they found it and it's not there area of expertise. Why even call yourselves experts in water heating and plumbing when you cant even install its supplemental parts to the water heater correctly. I'm just happy the other guy caught it so that we are aware of the kind of business we were dealing with.

Our backlogged kitchen sink turned our kitchen into a flood zone last night, with water spewing out of the pipes as well as a bizarre defunct plastic tube that was once connected to a dishwasher. Our pipe system was a dystopian network of duct tape and drippy pipes.  Dov was very informative over the phone, then sent over a detailed estimate that included two different potential scenarios. Dov did an excellent job! Our kitchen sink was leaking and Dov came to the rescue. He very quickly identified the problem and within minutes he removed our sink trap and replaced it with a new one. He was efficient and extremely friendly. He also cleared our sink drain while he was here (which was an added request) and he did that also very quickly and made sure to clean up after he was done.

It is a bit fishy that this service is reported to have five stars in all but one review (and that one is four stars). We have been trying for more than six weeks to get this company to come to our apartment to fix a simple bathtub leak. They repeatedly say that they will come, but never do. They ask for photos of the tub, but never respond. They give excuses about how they are so busy, but will be back to us soon, and we never hear back. After six weeks, we have given up and will hire someone else. Take the five-star reviews with a grain of salt.

I highly, highly recommend Dov. He removed and installed 2 toilets and 3 faucets in a timely manner and left the place spotless. He explained everything to me and checked his work many times over. I don't think I will be seeing him again, in a good way. I called him to snake my consistently problematic toilet and to fix 2 leaky faucets that had already been fixed. The previous plumbers put band-aids on the problems took my money and went on their way. I thought the problem was the plumbing in my building and the other plumbers didn't say otherwise. Dov told me I had bad toilets, turns out, I had bad toilets. He told me what a fair price would be, I went and got toilets based on his recommendations and they work like a dream. I called Dov to request a quote to fix a low water level in my toilet.  Dov asked me to text him photos of the toilet bowl and the tank so that he could give me a quote.  After he took a look and diagnosed the problem, he quickly called me back and walked me through how to fix the problem myself in under a minute at no charge.  He could have easily come to my home and charged me for what was a very easy fix, but Dov took the high road.  I will definitely use his services in the future if I need a plumber.

Our toilet clogged the day we moved into our new condo, adding more stress to an already stressful day. Came quickly on a Sunday morning and fixed a toilet blockage. He's a bit expensive but that might have been influenced by how quickly he fixed it. You can get the snake thingie he used in Amazon for $40. But it's big and a pain to store. So maybe it's worth it.

Bathtub was slow draining/clogged all night and I realized at 6am the next day. Called around and Dov picked up and said he could be in the area by 9. He showed up at 8.30am and was finished by 9! He was professional, nice and all around did a great job. Will recommend this company in the future!

Responded very quickly and sent someone to my apartment within an hour to help unclog my toilet. The initial quote was right on and he fixed it quickly, stayed to make sure it was unclogged and then cleaned up after his self. 10/10 would use again

I had an emergency tonight, my main drain was clogged and my ground floor started flooding. I called Dov Sewer and Drain late at night and Dov came promptly to my home. His first guess was correct, the culprit was baby wipes! He used his industrial snake to clear the drain and even installed 2 new caps as the older ones were ill-fitting. Professionalism, promptness, peace of mind, and fair price, the experience was all I could have asked for. I will be making Dov my first call for all my future plumbing and heating needs.

Dov stopped by when I was in a middle of a crisis and postponed a job to come snake out my tub. He arrived in less then 10 minutes and made an impossible job seem possible. My shower faucet suddenly broke which meant I had no way to shower! I looked around for plumbers that would be able to come by and replace it asap. After calling a few, all of which were unavailable, I managed to find Dov who was friendly, responsive and professional. I asked for a kitchen sink strainer replacement quote, and Dov recommended that I replace the sink drain piping as well and asked for pictures. I sent Dov pictures of my kitchen sink piping and he estimated 300 labor, 40-75 parts for a complete strainer/piping replacement. He finished the job in 90 minutes and invoiced me 385+tax after the existing pipe placement caused difficulties. I tipped him an extra 20 on top of this for his professionalism. I chose Dov over a lower quote to avoid the uncertainty of hiring an unknown plumber which the lower quote entailed, and because his business has developed a reputation for honesty.

Dov will be my go-to plumber from now on! I had a mini panic attack this past Sunday evening when gunk started coming out of my master bathroom sink. I reached out to Dov, who was at my apartment within 90 minutes (again, on a Sunday night). He figured out that the pipe was connected to our kitchen sink upstairs and was likely clogged from built-up grease over the years. He snaked the drain for about 15 minutes; I haven't had any issues since--and honestly don't anticipate any further issues with that drain for many, many years. Dov had also fixed my kitchen pipe a few months ago. It was leaking like crazy--he swapped it out with a sturdier but inexpensive pipe. He's thorough and walks you through what's causing the problem, how he'd fix it, and how much it would cost. Super professional with very reasonable rates. I will be calling him again soon to fix my runny toilet. Definitely call this truly 5-star plumber for all your future issues.

It is Sunday today, and Dov has come in to my apartment to repair/replace my kitchen sink strainer and the pipe.  Water had been leaking constantly for a few years because of the loose strainer, and I had had a plastic container under my sink to catch the water and to dump the water afterwards.  It took him less than an hour to remove the old strainer and the pipe and replace them with the new ones with much higher quality.  He said that they would last for the next 15 years.  I could use the sink immediately after his work.  There was no mess after his work, either.  I asked him to take a look at my toilet tank that had been making a noise ever since I've moved in.  He immediately knew what was the cause of the issue and was able to give me an estimate for the repair work and the parts right there.  He went back to his car to get the proper parts and proceeded to repair the toilet tank quickly.  It was fixed within a matter of minutes, and there was no more water noise!  It was so amazing to get two problems fixed in one short visit by Dov!  The repair/parts costs are very reasonable, and Dov works very quickly, efficiently and neatly.  I recommend Dov for anyone who are in need of plumbing help in Brooklyn!!  Dov, thank you very much again for your visit and for all your excellent work!!
