Best Plumbing Services in Madison, WI
Our toilet blocked up on a Sunday night and our regular plumber on Monday morning suggested that we contact Mark's Reddi Rooter Plumbing because our regular plumber was unavailable for a couple of days. Within 2 hours of our call, a professional young man named Jake came and took care of our problem within minutes. He also checked all the drains in the affected bathroom by running the water and he asked if we had any slow drains anywhere in the house for him to check. Talk about an added value to his service! Jake is very personable and a positive representative of his company. We thank you for taking care of our problem and our property and for cleaning up the bathroom when done!

We hired Lichtfeld to do some plumbing work as part of a remodel of a small master bathroom. In all they had four tasks to complete: 1) install shut-off valves for the bathroom sink, 2) install the shower handle and valve, 3) install shower head and 4) install shower base and attach the drain.
When we used the shower after this we found the shower head leaking badly, and the handle would only turn on half way, and not get fully hot. They came back out and tightened the shower head (denting it), and it turned out that they installed the valve backwards. Which should have been a very easy and common install.
When we started using the shower again, a few days later we found that water was leaking into our basement. The remodeled bathroom is on the second floor, so the water had leaked from the shower base drain, into our kitchen ceiling to the outer wall where it followed an air vent down to the basement. This was evidenced by paint bubbling at the drywall seams in the kitchen ceiling.
We then had Lichtfeld out again, showed them the water in the basement and the kitchen ceiling, then left them to fix the leak. After they finished they said they got another half turn on the drain and added some silicone. They also expressed that what they did should fix the problem. Keeping a close eye on the basement we resumed using the shower, and it hasn't leaked since.
Lichtfeld initially said that they would take care of repairing the damage. We had an independent contractor come out who agreed with our assessment, and gave us an estimate for the work. Lichtfeld then sent their own person, who ended up being an old friend of Melanie Lichtfeld, that was apparently sent to discredit us and give us unsolicited legal advice. It turned out that Lichtfeld had since decided that they didn't want to pay anything, so they came back to us saying they didn't think they were responsible for the damage.
Needless to say we were disappointed with this lack of integrity and professionalism. We could have understood screwing up three of the four tasks we hired them for, if they would have been accountable for those mistakes, but they ultimately decided that their character had a price limit. We wouldn't recommend Lichtfeld to anyone looking for a plumber. There are plenty of other companies who will likely do a much better job, and know that screwing over your customers just isn't good business.
Lastly, besides the work being terrible, their customer service was even worse. In 15 years of home ownership, we have never had such an awful experience with a company.

I had plumbing problem....so, I called a plumber! They arrived timely and diagnosed the situation quickly. I needed a part ordered and the plan was to have it shipped and they would give a call to schedule a re-visit. A week goes by and I called get the update. Did it arrive? Yep, and they were sending a guy out to install. He installs it the next day and all is well. A week later, I get a bill for $350+! The part was $50 and the plumber was in my house for less than 30 mins, but I get billed for 2.5 hours labor. Whatever, it's fixed, although I feel robbed on the cost. They must charge drive time? The end result was great, but pricy.

We had Country Plumber install a new water heater 12/29/15. One of their fittings had a slow leak....fast forward to now and I noticed the carpet right outside the closet (the water heater is in the back of) was wet....SOPPING WET! Then as I started taking things out of the closet, low and behold the entire floor had standing water. You couldn't see it because of the carpet, but once you removed an item there was a watered dent in the carpet. There was mold on everything as well! We called them and they said, hey that's what homeowners insurance is for. We should be kept an eye on our waterheater! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! You can't even see the leak just looking at the water heater, which by the way is in a covered portion in the back of the closet. They said that's what they do. WELL YEAH, THEY ARE AWARE OF THEIR SHODDY WORK!! They repaired the leak and refuse to take any responsibility for all the other damage....rotted sub floor, carpet, mold, mildew stained items that were neatly on the floor in boxes. Their attitude SUCKS! I would never recommend them for anything! If I could give them a ZERO I would. This is going to cost us close to $1000 or more....

Well I don't want to ramble on so i will get straight to the point. If you're ever not sure of a company...just don't do it no matter what people say. I gave this company several chances to fix their mistake but they refused. They remodeled my home after a fire destroyed it. Several of the men were rude. Kyle being the most. They had poor communication. They even bullied me several times about my bathroom...they actually made it look worse than our bathroom which was newly and beautifully remodeled by Sears who I wish I had chose now. They charged me over 22thousand dollars extra for only a few upgrades. They have incomplete work done and yet they want payment in full. I would not recommend this company to anyone...well maybe someone I would like to screw over like I was. I'm a woman..you know we spend time in the bathroom. Well..i don't even really use mine any more. So thanks a lot! For doing one change which we paid too much for...and they tried to argue about it...i had to insist..yes I had to insist on an upgrade that we paid out of pocket for. Everything with this company was a pain. Doesn't help when you're grieving over losing your life in a house fire from robbery and arson. Which I may add that the milwaukee police still have not charged or convicted anyone. And it's been a year! To top it off...the initials in my tub which you can clearly see read FML!
