I have used Jacobs for several years. Locally owned family business. Always honest, fair, and do great work at a reasonable price. I had a problem with an exterior drain that collapsed due to use of crappy construction material. Did a great job fixing it and I referred my neighbor when they had a similar problem. They recently fixed a mess we had in our downstairs half bath due to new floors we had put down. Both the pedestal sink and the toilet were challenging due to the difference in thickness of the flooring. They fixed the mess made by the installer of the floors at a reasonable price. Brodie and company are great to work with.

I called Patterson Plumbing on a Thursday for a major plumbing issue involving a leak inside a wall and was told they would come sometime on Monday, nothing more than that, no time frame at all.

Having had recent surgery,  on Monday morning I needed to pick up medication and left my house for approximately 30 mins during which time, Ray, an employee, called and left a message saying he would be there in a few minutes. I returned the call and was sent to VM where I left a message that I was almost home. When I arrived 20 mins after his call, he had come and gone..

The problem wasn't that.

I called to reschedule and Ray was very wishy washy about days and times. He did say they scheduled between 830am and 1230pm, and 1230pm and 530pm. They never had given me any time frame whatsoever or I would have had no problem being home.

I spoke to Ron, the owner, in a polite and courteous tone, to let him know I hadn't been given a time frame of AM or PM and he completely BLEW UP! I continued to be courteous but he continued to rant. He was totally out of line. What kind of business man yells at customers? I wouldn't want to do business with him, nor would I suggest you do.

I do recommend Russell Plumbing who I've used in the past and will use now.

Every time I asked the plumber a question he would reply I'm not sure, what do you think? Didn't instill confidence, but they got the job done.

When Bob Jones Plumbing blew us off after a call back for some work they did a year before, we called ARLINGHAUS.
They are very responsive, informed, smart, reliable, good rapport.
We had used ARLINGHAUS for some HVAC work, and now for plumbing.
Alex, our tech, is just the best. He'll be coming back next week to finish some water heater work. We highly recommend ARLINGHAUS.

Tom Holtmeier verbally quoted me at 425.00 for 3 hrs of work to replace a rusted outdoor spicket . A plumber spent 1.5 hrs at my house and I was later charged 485.00. When I inquired with Tom on this increase on the quote despite a shorter expected time on the job, he informed that he was charging port to port and that my travel time was longer because his plumber ran into an accident on 71. He charged me to for 2.75 hrs of work, despite a plumber spending 1.5 hrs at my home. My home is 20 min from the office. He then threatened to take me to a collection agency in the process of me trying to gain more clarity on his shady billing practices. My personal life lesson learned here is to always get a written quote. Consider this your warning.

Arrived almost an hour late, was condescending and unprofessional, and give me a swag bid of over double what another plumber charged. That's too much work and I won't touch it for less than a grand was what I was told for something that ended up costing $425 from a better plumber.

They came out charge me $89 to tell me what I already knew and then tried to get me to put in a new hot water heater that you can buy at HD for 409.00 but charge me $1,800 what a joke and waste of $89 bucks don't make the same mistake.

This is the worst company in the world to deal with. I had plumbing issues and had to have my yard dug up. You are better off spending a little more money and using someone that is more professional. This company never gave me a contract to look at and sign so I didn't know that restoration service was not including. My insurance company paid for the job so I could have gotten anyone I chose. If I had a contract to see I would have known up front and used someone else to replace the piping in my yard. I had to beg for them to send me a receipt after I paid for the service. The personell in the office is very rude and smart elec and don't care about customers. It appears they only have one guy who works in the field and he does a very sloppy job. My yard is ruined now with a muddy mess and I will have to pay someone to clean up the mess and to fill the dirt hole that is in my yard. I'm also going to report this company to the Better Business Bureau so that others are aware of their unprofessional work practices. I don't even want to give this customer a star but, I have to give them one in order for my complaint to be posted.

We've been having issues with water pressure in our new home and called Utz to see if they could come out and check out the issue. My husband called in the morning and spoke with the secretary who was very sweet and told us she would have a plumber contact us directly. We waited for maybe 2 hours then the plumber called my husband and said he'd be here around 1pm. At this time it was 10AM when we spoke with him. My husband told him we had to pick up our son from school around 3pm and the plumber said he'd be out before then. The plumber never showed up and never gave us the courtesy of even calling us to let us know he couldn't come. Needless to say we contacted another plumber to fix our issue. Very disappointing

Tim [owner] & John from Thomas & Sons Plumbing came to my house on 6/23/15 per my home warranty company.  They addressed a lot of issues with the house and I explained to them why they had to come out to the house.  I repeatedly asked [3-5 times] that I get their findings in a report.  The most I received was their notes of what was wrong on an invoice [through a link in e-mail which is now blank] in which I had to tell them to add items they missed which was told to me when they came out to the house.  I also asked for an estimate in which I was told I would get on 6/29/15 but never received.  I called today 6/30/15 and spoke with Crystal to ask about getting a report and estimate [has an attitude, I found argumentative, wants to talk more than listen & is defensive] who could have told me days ago that they call the home warranty to share their findings verbally over the phone and there was no written report per Crystal to send to me but they failed to do that.  Due to the issues with the house, it is under Tim's impression this may become a court case in which he made it clear he does not want to get involved even though he would not be the one sued which is why I received minimal documentation of their visit.  I am very disappointed with the level of customer service I have received from this company.  Report or not if I have to take my issues to court they may be supenaded whether they like it or not and it's no excuse to treat me poorly as a paying customer.
