We bought a whole house water filter system and the other plumbers we contacted either wanted to overcharge us, didn't get back to us, or weren't capable of doing the job. Dana Hoagland plumbing was quick to give us quote- which was accurate of what they charged us, experienced and extremely fairly priced. I will be calling them from now on for any plumbing needs.

They saved us. On the morning of June 19, 2014, after 7 1/2 of rain at our house our sump pump float switch failed. We were reduced to manually running the pump about every 8 minutes.
We called Duda and had to leave a message; they were out on a long day of calls. We spoke on the phone at about 5PM, they found a new sump pump, got to our house a little after 6, and had it installed by 6:30.
Our basement stayed dry. Thanks guys, awesome job and I can't recommend you highly enough.

We had been in our new home roughly 24 hours when raw sewage began pouring into our basement from the floor drain, the shower drain, anywhere it could get into the basement. I was about to call one of the big names when I saw a great review of this local company. I called in the early morning and Nate pulled up before 2pm. He was a rock star. He dropped the camera probe in, found the obstruction, augered it out, and inspected the pipe's entire length for future problems as he went, talking me through his findings. He then cleared out my decomposed drain cover and cleaned up everything he touched, as well as some of the mess that was already there. Great service, great advice, easy going, and the cost was less than I've paid in the past for other companies (by a good margin). I've already made a calendar entry in my phone to call McDonough's every two years for preventative maintenance on the pipe. We can go back to loving our new house again!

Dave is a life saver! 3 days before Christmas and our water heater died on us. The next day he was able (and willing) to get and install a new water heater, on a day he planned on taking off, since it didn't get above 0 and we had strong winds. Second time working with him and I will never look for another plumber again!

So thankful we found Rascher.
We had a different company give us an extremely high quote to replace a water heater, like it's so expensive you would faint type of quote.
Our neighbor recommended Rascher.
They asked us to email lots of pictures of our current water heater and piping.
Gave us a reasonable quote, scheduled it and they came on time, installed it quickly.
Thank you Jason and Ben!

We recently had Burnomatic inspect and tune-up our boiler and we could not have asked for better service. We are relatively new owners of a very old home with a complicated heating system that has been modified multiple times over the years. It was a relief to have the courteous, friendly, and very experienced technician from Burnomatic diagnose all of the quirks in our system. This family-owned company provides a level of terrific service, expertise, and value that is increasingly hard to find these days. We are so glad we found them!

I have had them over a few times this year and they are honest, knowledgeable and quick at what they do. They have worked on my AC, fixed a water softener pipe, pop ups in my bathroom, fixed my toilet parts and at such a reasonable price! Thank you so much!

My son has just moved to an older unit in St. Paul. He is a student at Hamline University so I am here from California helping him move in and get settled.
We arrived to find that the bathroom needed way more work than my son described in his short visit before moving in. When we turned on the shower the faucets almost came out of the wall due to a cheaply done make over and old old plumbing. There isn't enough water pressure to bathe an ant. The situation was so bad that we had to say in a hotel one night so we could both take a shower and clean up after two days of moving.
This morning Erik Brue came from Plumb Right to help assess the situation and make realistic recommendations for repairs an or replacements.
Erik went above and beyond. he gave me two separate estimates to present to the landlord. One to try and repair and one to realistically redo the plumbing and shower area. His estimates were extremely reasonable and he was able to even show me photos of other installs he has done which look fabulous. He also mentioned that this work could be completed by several installers on one day which is a huge plus since my son is a full-time student with limited free time.
I feel much calmer now and am equipped with the proper information to share with the landlord to get my son's bath room livable before I return to California to thaw out.
It is very intimidating being in anew area and having to rely on recommendations from unknown sources. Home Advisor recommended Erik and Plumb Right and really saved the day!!!!!

This plumbing service is part of a network that also includes HVAC and Electrical services. I would give this plumbing service a -1 rating. They advertise 247/365 for emergency services. I had water from a leaking pipe spilling into my basement on a Sunday evening...after turning off the master water valve. The earliest they could send a plumber out to fix what turned out to be a faulty valve, was on Tuesday...two days later.
Since they do not honor 247/365 services for emergency repairs and when I needed them most, they were not available to address my issue, I cancelled my monthly VIP service. Not worth it if they can't be there when you need them to be there. I would NOT recommend this service or this plumbing company to anyone.

Take a look at Michael S's review of Aqua City Plumbing. Mine is VERY similar. This took place when my daughter and I both lived in Minneapolis (a few years ago).
Aqua City Plumbing (and Dave the owner in particular) is a classic example of a business that takes advantage of people who need plumbing work done NOW, and who trust that they will get an honest and competitive price. Not the case with this company. Others have noted that Aqua City will NEVER give an estimate over the phone (not even a rough ballpark figure). And they charge about $79 just to come out to give an estimate. What kind of business is that? But people who have an Aqua City magnet on their refrigerator or phone book (like my daughter) still fall for this scam. In my daughter's case, they came out and gave her a $700+ estimate to replace two shutoff valves on either side of the water meter. She didn't know how much work was involved, and one valve connection was dripping on the basement carpet, so she accepted. The work took about 1.5 hours. I called later to complain about the outrageous charge, and I told Dave that the valves cost no more than $20 each. I asked him how he came up with the $700+ price, and he basically told me that it was none of my business. He said that my daughter accepted his price quote, so he did nothing wrong. I told him he took advantage of her trust, her lack of plumbing knowledge, and her desperation to get the leak fixed. I also told him I contacted two other plumbers, and they DID give me an estimate over the phone. Both estimates were between $200 and $300. My message: Check out reviews before choosing a plumber, and don't just refer to the magnet on your refrigerator. If my daughter would have done this, she would not have called Aqua City Plumbing to begin with.

We had Bruckmueller Plumbing install the water line on our new refrigerator, and install our new dishwasher and garbage disposal. He was very professional and did an excellent job!

Ryan from Edwards Plumbing connected our new sink when we remodeled our kitchen one year and 3 months ago. Three times, the pipe and trap disconnected and water flooded the cabinet under the sink. We thought it was a minor problem so my husband (who has been keeping our traps clog free for 40 years) reconnected the pipes. The third time, I called Edwards Plumbing. When I described the problem, Ryan said that the pipe was probably too short. I asked him to come to the house and repair it. He said Edwards guarantee their work for one year, because our project was 1 year and 3 months ago, they would not repair it. I asked for Mike, the owner, to call but have not heard from him.
The leaking is due to poor installation and they should stand behind their work, even if the warranty period has just expired. And, they don't seem to appreciate customer loyalty - we hired them for a second job during the last year! I will never, ever hire them again. And, this is the first negative rating I have ever filed.

I was informed by the owner of Lake Areas Home Improvement Services, Inc - Scott Ferrell - that the work was performed by a subcontractor, and that he is not responsible for follow up on any of the work.
Previous comments:
They started the job late after bringing the wrong materials twice), and installed the siding poorly as well as damaged two gutters during the installation of two larger downspouts.
Rainwater now leaks out of my gutter next to my house, where the repair guy had used a cutting tool to enlarge the opening for the larger downspout. He damaged a 16 foot piece of gutter that never leaked previously. The sidewall of the gutter was cut open, allowing water to run down the side of my house. See pictures.
Upon inspection of another downspout they installed, they omitted installation of a gutter outlet - see pictures. Rainwater leaks from the crack and icicle will form there in the winter.
Very disappointed that I paid them $2245 for this service. For this price you would expect quality work, a business that would warranty their work, and a contractor to not create damage while making repairs.
If you look to hire this company, check carefully on exactly who will perform the work. If a subcontractor will do the work, check their professional credentials - licensing, insurance, bonding, warranty of work, as well as any outstanding complaints against them with the BBB, Angie's list, and Yelp among many. Get it all in writing before you sign, and make sure you have the crew that YOU hire.

We had them as our only plumber for 15+ years. They used to be great. Until we need an emergency job done on our septic. Not only did they go well over the estimate, but when we'd paid in full the amount agreed upon, and asked for another month to pay the additional $2500. (We had already paid $13,000, 40% due up front) We had to be consistently diligent about getting them out to get the job done before the ground froze. We were not the least bit happy with the mess they left us in, after over charging to begin with.
