I feel like I was just sent an Angel. Let's start with my mother in law just passed away. Last week during the craziness of the week I saw pooling in the front yard and I assumed it was from all the rain we have had. Monday I noticed it was still there so I guessedit was my irrigation. My landscapers came out 2 days later and sadly they said my main water line was broken. I called a few companies, one of them was a well known major local company. They were going to charge me at least 5k without  even  truly looking at the problem. Having just paid for a funeral I just wanted to cry.  Jay, who is the owner of essential plumbing, arrived as this major company was leaving. He asked if I minded if he dug down to locate and asses the problem. He took the time to understand the situation so he could give me a true estimate. Jay saved me thousands of dollars. He was able to do the job immediately, which he did say he's not always able to do because he is a small company. It was pouring rain out. I asked if he wanted to finish the job tomorrow, but he insisted on not leaving me with the leak. Just over an hour later and tons of money saved I have water again and no leak in our main line. Im not just recommending My Essential plumber  because I saved money, jay was kind, honest and saw how bad of a situation this was. (I'll be paying a small fortune for my next water bill  )  I felt like jay really cared and today that is what was needed. Thank you to My Essential Plumber!

I had a leak from an upstairs shower that seeped down to the first floor ceiling and possibly down the first floor wall. I called Lawson Family Plumbing based on what seemed like legit Yelp reviews.

They answered the phone right away. No message with, We'll call you back when we have time. Then they scheduled someone for later that day!

Daryl came and what a nice man. Down to business but just really genuine and no b.s.  Luckily he was there before the restoration company the insurance company sent out left. Daryl took about 5 ten minutes to inspect the shower, took a hard look. He then acquiesced to my request he huddle with the restoration guys and he said, I don't think this is a plumbing problem. I think the water is getting through the cracks of the tile joints. That was exactly the opinion of the other company.

I was so grateful he didn't just try to make money and ask for permission to start removing tiles, etc. not only was he honest, but he and Lawson Family Plumbing did not even charge a fee!!!! EVERYBODY charges an outlandish service fee even if they don't do anything!

Do yourself a favor. USE THESE GUYS!

My recent experience with Gold Star Plumbing has been nothing short of exceptional, and I wish I could give them 6-stars instead of 5 and here's why. They were able to complete 3 separate plumbing repairs at my house in one day, but even more impressive than that was the professionalism, expert knowledge, and willingness to come up with an alternate solution that resulted in over a 30% savings from my original estimate. As Mike and Kyle began work on replacing a leaking copper main between the main water meter and my house, they realized that modifications to the original water supply lines which were made after the home was constructed to accommodate a soft water hose bib connection could be reversed back to the original configuration intended by the home builder which would save a significant amount of money. Mike and Kyle were able to provide a new, alternate estimate to return the connections back to the original plumbing configuration which saved over 30% from the original estimate and the work turned out looking great and much simpler than what a previous homeowner had done. I cannot thank them enough for their ability to treat customers in a way that builds trust and create cost-saving solutions. I have been a Commercial General Contractor for over 34 years and have been more of a do it yourself-er around the house for a long time, but as I get older and my personal time becomes more valuable, I rely on experts to do a project in a timely fashion and at a fair and reasonable cost and Gold Star Plumbing has lived up to that standard. I am so glad I took the time to read the many customer reviews found online for a variety of plumbing contractors, and when I came across the many positive references for Gold Star, I felt confident that I was making the right choice. And let's not forget about the great experience that Devin provided during the initial investigation and estimating process. He was very knowledgeable and quickly determined that the water line modifications made in the past were not put in per code and explained the process to not only fix the leak, but also to do so in such as way that meets current plumbing code and provides a 10 year warranty. Devin's attention to detail in writing up the cost estimate, taking photographs of the three separate areas of work I needed done and providing a reasonable cost estimate allowed me to quickly make a decision and sign the contract for work to begin the next morning. My wife and I are close friends with several of our neighbors who all have similar age of homes and we will definitely recommend Gold Star Plumbing to them for potential future work. Called cactus when my ac unit stoped working and just blowing hot air. They even had same day service after another company just never showed up. Very grateful for the service tech he was very professional and knowledgeable.
Gave me a price on the repairs and even recommended a few other things for preventive maintenance that i agreed to. My ac is cooling better than it ever has. I will definitely recommend Cactus to anyone that needs ac services.

Used rob for a new home I purchased where I thought there was some plumbing problems. He was quick and knowledgeable. Instead of just saying it needs to be replace he gave options to fix or replace and even instructions if I wanted to do it myself.

Brian is honest and very knowledgeable.   Having dealt with three (3) plumbers in the last four (4) days who were unwilling to help us resolve the problem of acquiring a hot water heater that fits into the footprint of our old one.   He spent time, on a Sunday even, explaining what is going on in the industry and options that are available including complete honesty when asking about tank less.   He will absolutely be my first call from here on out!

Six years ago, we had a new heat pump installed on our house by Goettll.  We chose a Goodman heat pump which came with a 10 year parts and labor warranty. I did research on line and from the information I found, Goodman seemed to produce a quality product.

I have a health condition, MS, which makes me extremely sensitive to heat so having a dependable, functioning heat pump is not a luxury for me, it's a necessity, especially with the extreme heat a Phoenix summer brings. Goettl was aware of my health problem and they always got a technician out to me the same day I reported a problem. Once, when it took a couple of days to get a needed part, they brought out a free standing portable unit which did an adequate job of cooling a couple of rooms.

During the first two years, the heat pump was blowing a lot of capacitors. Living in Phoenix AZ, with the extreme heat we get, it's not unusual  for a heat pump to go through more capacitors than it would in other parts of the country but this particular unit seemed to be going through more than was usual. The problem was finally diagnosed as a faulty compressor which was replaced under the warranty.

Two years later, the unit developed a leak in the coil and that had to be replaced, again under the original warranty. Fast forward another two years when the fan had to be replaced, then it needed another compressor.

This year, I had a Goettl technician come out to do a check up on the unit to try to make it through this summer without any problems. It checked out fine. 5 days later the condenser fan motor failed and needed to be replaced, then, 7 days later, the reversal valve failed and had to be replaced.

All in all, in the first 6 years, this unit needed 23 service calls, not counting the routine maintenance calls. The only company that touched this unit since it's installation was Goettl so, I decided to see if I could get in touch with  the CEO of Goettl, , Dan Burke. I was put right through to Mr Burke and when I explained the maintenance issues I had had with this unit, he said he would look into it and call me back. Approx 2 hours later, Greg Akers, Goettl's Director of operations called me and asked if he could bring out a Goodman Factory Rep. and a technician to look at the unit. Everybody at Goettl agreed that the unit broke down excessively.

Being somewhat cynical about corporations, I fully expected to hear that all they would do was honor the warranty and repair the machine when needed and, Goettl had always repaired the unit in a timely manner so, while it wasn't the outcome I wanted, it was the outcome I expected.

the following Monday, right on time, Mr. Akers, a Goodman factory Rep, and a Goettl technician arrived at my house, looked at the repair invoices I had, listened to my experience, and frustration with the unit, and went up on the roof to check the unit out.

They came down, and basically surprised the hell out of me by saying  that the heat pump I had was a lemon and told me they were going to replace it at no charge.

Three days later, I had a new heat pump on my house.

I don't fault Goodman for this because any company can, and does turn out a lemon once in awhile and when Goodman found out about my issues, they stood behind their product and did, in my opinion, the right thing. I wish I had talked to Mr. Burke earlier.

In my opinion, Mr.Burke, Mr Akers and Goettl have earned their title of Good Guys This is not the Same Goettl that got all the bad press a few years ago. Mr Burke has definitely turned this company around to the point I would recommend them to anybody
